Primordial Facility #1 - Metal Workshop

Luna rubbed tiredly at her eyes and slowly shook her head at Celestia's words. "No, I do not need to rest. Let's explore the rest of this place and return to Canterlot." She said while standing up, and then taking off into the air. "And... maybe fly. In case there's any more nice disappearing floors in this damned place."

Luna was obviously shaken from that experience, Celestia could see it clearly. Luna had, after all, passed out. Rarely if ever did Luna pass out from pain, not from stab wounds or slashes, not from bludgeoning damage, not even from child birth. But that had definitely hurt her. Even compared to Celestia's current burn wounds, it must have made those seem like child's play.

As they flew off down the hall, they encountered no danger. Soon enough they were in front of the massive iron door which led to the armory.

Celestia would nod her head firmly, looking around. She really didn't feel like coming back again, so leave wasn't really in the best interest.

Celestia would look over at Luna, noticing just how badly it had effected her, and floated over to her, nuzzling her cheek, "This place is horrid... I'm sorry that happened, Lulu." She'd say softly, before continuing onward, floating ahead, still a bit worried about what else they'd find.

Then they found the massive doors of the armory! She'd fly upto them, looking it over, raising a brow, "What do you think is guarding the inside?" She'd ask, looking back at Luna. Weapons, of course, but she meant in terms of enemies.

At the mention of the place being horrid, Luna nodded her head and sighed. "Yeah... though luckily, we can just build a real floor over the illusionary one and that trap will become harmless. We will have to do that, if we intend on having ponies work here." Considering how many items this place could pump out, it'd probably be a good idea to have ponies here. At least enchanters, working on enhancing weapons and armor while the golems made the products.

Luna quickly checked the door for traps, and when she found nothing, she turned around and kicked the door. The massive steel door gave a groan as it flew off its hinges and landed a few dozen feet away, horribly dented and scratched.

Inside the room was a swirling mass of blue arcane energies, with electricity crackling around its body and two deep-set eyes which looked like crystals. A mouth opened up on the creature as it turned to regard the two. "... I would have thought the trap would take care of at least the one of you... Two at once is a problem..." It said in a voice like hooves on a chalkboard.

This creature was known to the Princesses as 'Aether'. It was one of the primordials that had escaped when Luna's scythe had broken the first time, and had been in hiding ever since. Now it seemed obvious what he had been doing; working on building an army. Like most primordials, he wanted world domination. He had gotten worryingly far. The golems he had built, if brought together into an army, would be dangerous for Equestria.

Luna scowled at Aether and started to move up to him, before the two large steel doors on the other side of the room burst open and two more Iron Colossi stomped through. Those were the same type of creature that had pancaked Celestia at the start of their adventure.

"... I'll deal with them, you deal with Aether." Luna said, before taking off after the Colossi.

Celestia had been relatively worried that there might be traps on the door. However, when there was none, she was slightly confused. Once Luna smashed the door in, she'd trot in with Luna, looking around. Seeing the swirling mass of energy was unsettling, before she heard the voice, and recognized it. She'd call her Mace and Shield to her, already wearing her armor.

Celestia would move with Luna, only for the two new Collossi to appear, and looked ready for an all out war, which was the point in all honesty. Celestia would look at Luna, nodding her head, "Alright, good luck, Lulu." She'd say, nodding her head quickly, before taking flight.

She was already hurt a bit, and completely out of healing magic. So... This would be fun. She'd sigh to herself.

She'd fly in place for a moment, before shooting forward, heading straight for Aether, then swung around, flying around behind him, moving to attack his back.

Aether recoiled from the sudden attack, having not expected Celestia to be so eager to fight. From what he remembered, she was the more passive one... things must have changed in the thousands of years he'd been trapped in that damned scythe. Her first attack caught the Primordial by surprise, but he quickly avoided the second attack by teleporting away.

Aether was well known to the Princesses as one of their more difficult adversaries. While together he was not a problem, one on one he could pose a threat. He commanded more raw arcane power than their daughter, Aurora, though without her flexibility. Aether was known on Equestria as the Primordial of the Arcane, which was a rather apt description.

"... So quick to violence... Not even a chat..." He chided, while reforming a few feet from Celestia. A blade began to appear in the air beside Aether, with a dark black blade surrounded by glowing blue arcane magics, and he quickly grabbed it. That was Akatash, Fury of the Arcane. A blade that Luna and Celestia would be well versed with, seeing as how it had stabbed them before. It was an incredibly powerful artifact, created from Aether's own life force.

Rather than close the distance to attack, Aether called upon his innate arcane control and summoned up bands of pure arcane energy which shot towards Celestia!

Arcane Bonds: Make a DC 34 dexterity check or take 57 damage and be restrained. If restrained, next round take another 46 and attempt a DC 34 strength check to break the bonds.

While his bonds attempted to ensnare Celestia, he called upon more of his powers and planted a small arcane seed on her body, which began to glow.

With his arcane powers expended, he shot forward and delivered 3 slashes to Celestia's body. He wasn't a great warrior, but he had strength behind his wild blows.

Celestia was just as shocked when he suddenly lashed back, using a great deal of raw powe. She moved quickly, trying to avoid taking the hits, not wanting to get hurt more than she needed, considering how dangerous she knew the fight would be.

Dex check: 28

Celestia growled with pain as the arcane energy stunned her, and shocked her through her body, growling from the pain and feeling of being held like this. She'd try to break free, straining hard against the bonds that held her in place, not wanting to be stuck like this.

Str Check: 46

Thankfully, breaking free was the easy part, but now she was still exposed, and needed to be very careful with her fighting style from here on.

Aether was a little annoyed and startled at how easily Celestia broke free, but at least the bonds had kept her distracted for a few seconds. Seeing as how he had blown most of his power right off the bat, all he could do was descend into melee combat and wait for his powers to recharge.

Though, he did have one active effect on Celestia which he continued to pump power into. The seed that was currently glowing under her stomach began to glow even brighter and expanded in size, to become a few inches wide. It was making her whole body feel tingly, and was sending chills through her. The arcane energies contained in that seed were massive!

Aether warped beside Celestia and slashed at her four more times... only to find that only one of the attacks actually landed. The rest had struck the Sun Goddesses armor or had been blocked by that huge shield. He hissed out of his crackling maw and began to panic a little.

He didn't regenerate like these alicorns. He needed to win this fight fast, and he was not accomplishing that. It was only a matter of time before the Dark One finished with those colossi and came to join the fight with the horrible scythe of hers...

Celestia was thankful that Aether could not hold true to his attacks, but she was growing worried about the crystal forming on her stomach, and did not enjoy the way it was effecting her body. She'd glare, and after the third mess, suddenly struck out with a powerful blinding light, hitting Aether in the face with the blast, "Take this fiend!" She'd yell, though she too took the final strike.

Aether is blinded for two rounds!

Celestia would grunt, feeling the blade bite into her shoulder, and snarled, very much annoyed, and quickly struck while the god was blinded, moving faster than before.

Celestia came to a halt, glaring down at Aether, breathing heavily, before speaking, "Surrender, it will do you no good now to resist." She'd say firmly, her eyes burning with a passion. Then she'd focus her on the energy within herself, and draw it out, healing her body carefully.

Although Aether did recoil from the heat of the of the solar strike, but would not be blinded by such an attack. After all, he didn't technically have eyes or any senses at all. He was just a mass of arcane energy that had come into being millions of years ago! So trying to blind pure arcane energy wouldn't quite work.

Celestia's attacks all his solidly, and Aether found himself growing weaker. His form was beginning to dissipate a slight bit, and the glow surrounding him was dimming. But he wasn't nearly defeated yet. He was an incredibly tough creature, as something made up of the universes forces would be. "Surrender to go back inside that cursed blade? I think not." He replied, before attacking with renewed vigor!

He needed to end this fight quickly, before the blue one joined in. A glance backwards told him that Luna had already cut apart one of the colossi and was now working on the second... he needed to hurry. He launched three more attacks at Celestia, while still channeling power into that seed on her stomach which continued to grow.

Celestia would watch him, noticing that he was getting weaker, and grinned at him, before feeling his sudden attack, grunting from the pain of it. She herself was starting to feel weak, and she knew that this wasn't going to go well if she couldn't end the fight soon, but all she really needed to do was at least hold on long enough for Luna to come over and help her with the fight.

Thinking for a moment, she'd sigh, realising she just needed to hurt him more than he could hurt her.

Celestia would pull away quickly from her attack, huffing a great deal, starting to feel the blood soaking into her coat, and growled to herself. She was letting this fight get the better of her, and she needed to pull ahead some how, but so far, she wasn't really able to do too much.

She'd look to Luna, hoping that she was handling herself, which she was.
