Taelyx just laughed again at the woman daring to order him around. "In case you haven't realized, my house doesn't listen to you pure blood major houses or your stupid royalty and that's not going to work..." he said with a snicker before walking off and looking for the food like Jaegor had told him. The male was giddy as he walked through the grounds, oh this was going to be a fun semester, he could tell. Finding the cafeteria, he wrinkled his nose at the food and just began piling random stuff onto a tray, finding another unmarked feeder. After testing the girl's mind, he grinned as he found she wasn't claimed nor bitten. Jaegor had given the brothers their own room nearby so he made a detour to his room and locked the girl in the closet before locking the door behind him. Vae would be thrilled he knew. Having made sure to get the saltine crackers and a bottle of ginger ale, he picked up some soft foods for Bethany and water, not sure what the girl could eat with a crushed throat.

Kalean shuddered away behind her mistress with still terrified eyes at the males words, "D-Disapoint…. ment?…." she whispered under her breath, glancing down at her stomach, thoughts a little more clear but still ringing like alarm bells from the discipline forced upon her mind, the words truely hurt her a lot but she couldn't leave this house, his offer seemed too good to be true, but also so harsh, to become theirs instead, to not be Athena's feeder, for them to take in her own child it-….. it just made her uneasy for some reason, yes she'd love to have more freedom but she was bound to her mistress, Athena needed her and it was a feeders duty to serve those they were given to….. It's not like Athena had ever been mean to her either, it was only the family itself, the horrors she'd endured none had been from her mistress, and just how Bethany was treated before in their supposed house- why would anyone in their right mind join a family where someone would crush a ten year olds throat? His words seemed good in intentions, but she couldn't help but feel malicious intent from anyone else in that 'family' if that was their definition of her child being safe- she didn't want it. It would almost certainly be safer in her own arms, in her own care and no matter- no matter what he said, she loved this child with her entire heart, it was the only family she's ever known and will care for it completely.

Her hands moved to her stomach and rubbed it almost warily as she looked at the closed off bed, freezing up more as the female dhampire came towards her and hiding further behind her mistress before realising what she was doing and stumbling backwards and away, ending up back on the bed, the offer she'd given to the child who'd helped Kalean, it was just proof there was a good heart for this family, at least in that of their youngest daughter.

Ash shrank back as the male vampire insulted her, closer to Athena. She didn’t want to be a vampire. She didn’t want to hurt people to live as they did. She’d been trained her whole life to serve them, not become one, and she didn’t ever want to be one. And the fact that he mentioned that they’d give her a few years to get older before doing it... a lot could happen to a feeder in a few years. And this vampire didn’t seem like the most kind.

She didn’t have to answer though, because Athena stepped in. Peering over at the other feeder as the vampire spoke, she gave her a tiny smile in the hope of calming her a little. She didn’t know if it helped or not, because she was snapped back to Athena when the other told her to hold out her arm.

Carefully extending it out it the vampire, she hoped Athena wouldn’t be bothered by the scars further up her arm, or the bite from the woman who had dropped her off. None of them were claiming marks though, she assumed, seeing as her family wanted others to taste her blood.

Michael Farrow-Salvaeus

Michael watched as the man turned to him and away from Titania. Though he could clearly see that the man still wanted to interact with her. He had to stop him from doing so, but it was pretty unavoidable. After chiding himself about missing the building of the dorms which could be clearly seen from where they were, he then expressed his gratitude and then reasoning as to why he was lost. Michael nodded in an attempt to reach an understanding with the man - or at least act like it. Michael needed to keep this man's attention on him. But then came the inevitable. Extending his hand, the man introduced himself as Taegel Denerus. A Denerus? How... interesting. He's never held anything against the other major houses, but the Denerus bloodline sounded arrogant to him as they put themselves on the same pedestal as the Aeternus bloodline - the first bloodline. But no matter, that was neither here nor there. "Michael Farrow-Salvaeus." He replied, shaking his hand with a firm hold. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Sir Taegel."

And then the inevitable came. He let his hand drop when Titania spoke. The sarcastic tone was a clear evidence of her mood. Michael retreated backwards, keeping his gaze on the ground beneath him. He wanted to talk to her - to put her at ease. There were so many things he should be doing, but none of them in public. He couldn't risk her blowing up at him, and also risk breaking protocol by being too invasive in public. While most Farrow bodyguards were close to their charges, they weren't allowed to completely show this to others. Especially how they acted around each other. The two treated each other as their best friends, after all, and showed a side of them that they wouldn't show others. Or at least, Titania does. She had a reputation to uphold as the heir to the Salvaeus bloodline, after all. He couldn't blame her. She couldn't show how childish she could be, or in this case, how furious she truly is.

"...We shall keep that in mind. Though I do hear that they serve blood packs as well?" With that, Michael gave the man a nod of goodbye as he couldn't exactly wave with all the suitcases he was carrying. He let out a small breath and then turned to Titania. He opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Perhaps later, once they were in the confines of their own room where he didn't need to worry about appearances. They had their own 'penthouse' after all. There should be enough room for her to let her frustrations out. It was supposedly at the top floor. Michael couldn't help but smile a little bit. Oh if only he had enough magic power to try out flight. But alas, he wasn't gifted when it came to those terms. He was a physical fighter, after all. Little bit of a disadvantage, but nothing he could do about that.

He hoped they would reach the room faster, and with no more distractions. He'd like to finally speak without risking going beyond the boundaries that was set between them.

Athena gently grasped the girls wrist before biting into it trying to caused the least amount of pain possible. She did not intend to feed much from the girl but she needed to know if her blood was good enough for her to drink. (Idk what the blood tastes like lol) after injesting some of her blood, she released the girl but used her fingernail to mark an x while using a bit of her magic to mentally mark the girl as well. The x was for people to know she was marked without checking her mind. "You are now mine," she says to the girl calmly and with a soft smile.

Ash winced only a little at the teeth that sank into her wrist, staying still. She knew better than to move, moving would only hurt her more and anger the vampire. And whilst she wasn’t sure if Athena would get as angry over that as some she knew, she didn’t wish to risk it. She watched as the other marked her with a small x, a tiny smile on her lips. She belonged to someone. She didn’t have to worry anymore about random vampires preying after her as she’d previously worried. Dipping her head to her new owner, she was still careful to avoid the others gaze, “Thank you, my Lady.” She said softly, drawing her arm close and peering curiously at the small mark that marked her as owned.

Ivan's explanation was good enough for Roland. Certainly, like he said, it was not the top of the line. He's heard of Arcane Focuses that could take in more, but the fact that it simply releases the extra magic pushed inside was good enough for him. "Fascinating. They are really being careful not to break that catalyst. I understand that as it is quite difficult to get your hands on a lot of them." With the amount of Magisters that were interested in buying catalysts, and even other species, they really need to scarcely fail and lose even one catalyst. Or, as far as he knew, that was still the case nowadays. If not, well, good for them. Back in his day, people would fight over one. With the technology now, though, he wouldn't be surprised if they devised a way to locate potential catalysts.

Perhaps it would be interesting to toy with a MagiTek Arcane Focus in his free time. See if he could break a catalyst. He wasn't a particularly powerful magician, but he could pride himself for his high amount of magical potential - that was, until he became a spirit and he stopped researching magic in favor of his newfound psychic abilities. If not him, then someone he knew had the kind of potential that broke limitations. Like that Salvaeus heir. Through the grapevines, you find out a lot. Especially when you're a spirit who drifted around in his spare time. Things about her being a magical prodigy and how she's mastered high-level spells by the time she entered her early adulthood. It would be amusing to see exactly how much power she does have.

Sometimes, he doubted he was actually a guidance counselor.

Ellie was the next to ask her barrage of questions - each one shot out in quick succession. Roland couldn't help but smile warmly at this. She reminded him of that one young girl he used to take care of - practically a little sister in terms of how he treated her. Perhaps even a daughter, if age was a factor. She was energetic, bubbly, infinitely curious and overall unstoppable. That was around five hundred years ago, two hundred years after he died, two months since he came back from rampaging. The couple who brought him back from insanity told him that this was his 'therapeutic' session of some sort. They said if he could take care of this kid until she was ready to become independent, then he would be safe to travel around. Needless to say, he succeeded and now he's fond of people like her.

Ivan was patient as well. He answered her questions and even explained the basic gist of how his weaponry worked. Roland was listening. There was little he could think of to do right now, so he said. "Do you two already know where your rooms are? And who you roommates are? I can take you there, if you want." He offered.

"If you wouldn't mind caring for kalean for me while I attend to some business around campus I would appreciate it. Make sure she is comfortable and resting," she says and smiles at both of her feeders.

The silver-haired woman frowned as the pregnant feeder continued to hide behind the female but it gave her time to collect some vials and set up an IV bag to give the woman some nutrients. The woman had been turned into a dhamphir herself but even still, she did not agree with the way vampires bred human females like cattle. Perhaps there was a reason vampires were unable to breed among their own that didn't come with being undead but the woman had never gotten the chance to delve further into the mysteries of the vampire race, given they were hated and shunned like the humans and werewolves. She ignored the potential "marking", not agreeing with that either. The woman had been lucky to never be a feeder and belong to one of the major minor houses. Not the Levsea House or Jageor's house but another one, the Nemda house. Turning with a forced smile she spoke. "I appreciate no blood shedding within the infirmary," she said in a hard tone before turning back to the woman and hooking the IV up into her hand. "Lay down and rest," she said before grabbing an alcohol swab and began cutting away the woman's sleeve with a pair of scissors. "She really needs more appropriate clothing and I don't recommend breeding her again at her age," she said to Athena. "Whoever agreed to this is despicable and cruel. Her body would have been better prepared had she been in her mid-twenties, not when she is still trapped between childhood and adulthood," the woman's tone carrying a bite to it which was directed at Athena. The woman didn't care who Athena professed to be, the entire process was wrong. "Is the child's father a vampire or a human?" she questioned, this being directed towards Kalean, her voice switching back towards quiet and professional to the pregnant woman. Depending on if the father was human or vampire, would depend on how the woman's labor would progress. "Madam, do you understand the damage you are doing to the child within your "pet"? You should be very lucky if the child isn't born premature or smaller than normal because of your selfish needs of sucking its and its mother's energy from its body!"

Vae poked his head out. "Now now Marrieta. These creatures don't have any respect like us three top minor houses do," he said. "And Bethany is attempting to recover."

"Recover. She was stolen then?"

"She was," said Vae. "Obviously our head of house was pissed that some person stole what is his."

"Vampires going around stealing other houses' slaves. Honestly," Marietta said in disgust. Mentioned: Sgt Gomez Sgt Gomez Cosmos Cosmos

Kalean winced a little as the IV was stuck into her arm but greatly appreciated the help even if not the tone she took towards her mistress, "P-Please…. It's not her fault!-" she tried to insist in return to the words but only got out a weak and small mumble, her throat still sore from the previous yelling, as the other began to cut her sleeve wshe appeared to blush a little, almost as though embarrassed of the scaring and markings on her body despite being so used to them, and despite what most may have thought, she had seen the small smile given to her by the younger feeder and even though it were only a small gesture, it had really helped. As the silver haired woman continued she stared up with pleading eyes almost begging for her to stop telling off Athena like that, it really- wasn't her mistress's fault, in fact how shed gotten pregnant wasn't all that pleasant either, it was unusual to have so much attention on herself like this, she's not sure if she hated or liked it, at the question she seemed to have to think for a few moments, having blocked that thought from her mind quite a while ago, "V-Vampire…." she stuttered in return, as said luckily it was a one time occurrence, not to mention the male was actually around her age, apparently the thought was it'd be better for that sort of child to be a feeder, something about them wanting more obedience. At the final accusations she sat up a little once again despite the relief of having laid down before, "I-It's fine!" she started, "R-Really, th-they kick all the time and she really doesn't feed enough as is!?" she continued in an almost instinctively yet genuine manner.

"A vampire. Just lovely," the woman said. "Vae!"

"What?"

"When Jaegor comes back, please retrieve some fresh blood for the pregnant feeder's unborn."

"Fine."

The pregnant girl began speaking again, attempting to explain away the forced breeding. "Then your child can't be a feeder if it isn't human."

"These major blood houses aren't like us. They don't treat dhamphir as equals," said Vae. "So even though it should have rights..."

"It is still part human and forced to be a slave," Marietta said in disgust. "Wonderful...this is going to make your recovery and labor ten times worse. It's bad enough the labor for a first time mother is around 12 to 36 hours, it's going to take a few hours longer than that for the child to be born. It isn't going to come out easily and will fight the entire time," Marietta said. "Keep this in mind other girl," she said. "This is what you'll be subjected when you're bred so please take notes," she said.

Nodding quickly to her new Mistress, she was quite relieved that she'd be able to stay near the other feeder. Especially with everyone around. With what they were saying, being rather rude really, Ash didn't want to leave her new friend alone with them. Moving slightly closer to keep an eye on Kalean as she'd been told to do by Athena, she glanced at the others around them warily. Clearly one of them hadn't been happy about Ash's new marking as Athena's property, but to Ash it was quite a relief. The worst thing of being an unmarked feeder was just that, anyone could bite you if they so wished. This would protect her. And, really, it would help Kalean.

Frowning as one of them moaned at Athena for sucking Kalean's energy, and that of her baby, she dared to speak, "I-I can feed her now. K-Kalean won't have to." She mumbled. She didn't like speaking up against a supernatural creature of any sort, but this was important. Plus, if Athena wasn't feeding enough as it was, according to Kalean, it was likely because the feeder was pregnant. So she could drink as much as she liked now, with Ash there.

Staring at Marietta as the other was speaking of the future birth of the child, and the sudden way the woman suddenly spoke to Ash herself, she swallowed. She'd said 'when', not 'if'. She hoped it wouldn't happen though, and so she ignored the comment. Clearly the woman was disgusted by the entire thing anyway, so perhaps she was just trying to scare Ash.

Athena's blood began to boil again as the other vampires began to blame her for her feeders pregnsncy. They knew nothing! She had fought against the forced breeding of her feeder since she had seen it so much over the course of her life. They had gone around her own rights as the "owner" of the feeder and took matters into their own hands. She may have failed at protecting kalean but she would fight for ash to protect her from the same fate.

Said vampires ignored Athena altogether, as if she didn't exist. The dhamphir however, looked towards Ash. "Pull up a chair if you must but if you do anything to pull this IV out, I will speak with the head and ensure you're thrown out, regardless of your family or your new mistress. Please tell me that you haven't yet been bred yet by whoever owns you," she said to Ash. The woman moved the woman's shirt up and spread some cold gel on it before taking the doppler and beginning to search for the child's heart beat and make sure it was alive at all. Vae came into the room shortly after. "Well you have good news and bad news. Good news is the child's heartbeat is steady despite the loss of energy," she said, attempting to keep her tone neutral. Taegel soon found his dormitory and knocked on the door but there didn't seem to be anybody there. The dhamphir opened the door and walked inside. (OOC I have no clue how the dorm rooms are set up) and walked inside the room, making his way into the room and looking around him.

Ash nodded hurriedly to her, glancing around to find and pull over a chair as instructed. She had no idea why the woman thought she'd try and pull the IV out, and instead she kept her hands firmly placed in her lap, where she couldn't cause any trouble for no one. Shaking her head at the comment about being bred, she said nothing. She was only twelve. The thought scared her, of having children at all, let alone a child that would belong to a vampire. So she stayed quiet, biting her lip and occasionally peering at the mark previously made on her wrist by Athena, whilst keeping a concerned eye on Kalean.

"Right...," the woman said as she pulled out a notepad and began writing something down. "Have you had any exams done to ensure everything is working or have you even started your menstrual cycle?" Regardless the girl might get an exam anyway, this would go into a file they'd keep on campus which would be accessible to the patient only. WolfOfProphecys WolfOfProphecys

Blushing remarkably red against her pale skin, she bowed her head a little as if that would hide her embarrassment. Shaking her head to both questions, she swallowed, "The family didn't believe exams would be necessary yet. I... They didn't taste anything wrong so they weren't worried." That was to say that they weren't currently bothered if she could have children or not, as long as she was of a good breed and tasted as good as the other feeders. If she couldn't have children then she'd just be sold on anyway, just at a lower price. They had other feeders. And Ash was too young in their eyes to be bred yet.

The woman turned to stare at Ash. "Exams..." Her mouth set into a thin line.

"I can..." started Taelyx.

"You will sit there and shut up Ta," snapped Marietta. "Go tend to Bethany."

The vampire shrugged and set the food down before heading with the other tray to Bethany.

Marietta shook her head. "Right, pick a bed. Whoever your family are, they are idiots. Your blood has no bearing on whether you will be able to conceive children or not," Marietta said. "If it is easier for you to relax without the woman here, I can dismiss her. In fact, she should probably head to the vampire wing and get checked out as is the custom and rule among the school," she said. The woman would do a complete physical of this girl. Ash shuffled warily. She was there to keep an eye on Kalean. Lowering her head a little as she was told to pick a bed, she hesitantly moved over to one nearby, hoping she wasn't about to get told off for this. Kalean seemed okay, safe. Not much could go wrong she hoped. Looking at Marietta, she shrugged quietly, "I... I don't mind." She mumbled. She wasn't about to relax anyway, seeing as this was an awkward subject and she wasn't sure she wanted any of this to happen. She was sure her family weren't idiots, it was just the way they'd bred feeders for years now. They had to teach them to be obedient anyway, in order to sell them. Being able to have children was just a great bonus.

Silas’s eyes trailed after the girl’s figure as she took a knee in front of him, her lips upon his hand that he’d outstretched for her. It wasn’t often that he was truly surprised by something, but indeed, that was not the sort of reaction he was expecting; not that he was bothered by it in the slightest, either. Instead, the upward tilt of the corner of his lips deepened, giving way to small dimples in the corner of his mouth as his eyes shone lightly with glee. A werewolf that serves his family, was she? If it were true, his father had definitely failed to mention to them that they’d have a personal slave attending the campus with them. As the girl stood, Silas shifted his eyes over to his twin. The latter, feeling the gaze on the side of his face, also turned to meet his brother’s eyes.

Sebastian was clearly far less interested in this turn of events than his counterpart was. He was glad that his brother had so easily found a source of amusement, but pitied the girl tremendously. Had she no instincts? No form of self-preservation? Anyone who saw the gleam in his brother’s eyes and chose to stay must be developmentally delayed, and that was anything but interesting to him. He’d leave the games to Silas. He had other priorities. “Vjg dqa jcu vqau.” he told Silas gently. Not letting the smile on his face waver, Silas responded in the same gentle tone,

“Then go.”

Turning back to the woman, Sebastian tilted his head at her in a mock of her previous curious expression. “Well hello then, Madilyn. I wasn’t aware that my family was served by your pack.” He straightened his head, “Care to explain?”

Releasing his twin’s arm from his loose grasp, Sebastian began a slow trek towards the group that he had seen earlier. While they all seemed to be interesting in their own way, he personally was more interested in what the tallest of the group held in his hands. Perhaps his twin would find interest in the girl with wings a bit later; he'd make note of it. They hadn’t felt his earlier stare so perhaps they weren’t very adept at noticing their surroundings. Typical, to be surrounded by ignorance. He circled them in a wide arch once, twice, eyes scanning the ground for something of use. Once spotting a relatively jagged rock, he kicked it along with him as he moved in closer. When he was mere feet away, he let himself fall as if he had simply stumbled over the nearby rock, letting a startled gasp of a noise spill past his lips as he hit the ground.

The woman stepped back and straightened out, listening as the brothers spoke in some foreign language that she didn't understand nor recognize. It was probably made up. As Silas's eyes met her own, the woman's gaze again followed as Sebastian walked off and "fell", the female staring at him curiously before shaking her head. Vampires, she thought to herself. Turning back to Silas as he questioned her, she frowned at him. "He did say you likely wouldn't know of my existence, the alpha I mean," she clarified with a frown. "I don't know all the details...Raphael..." her voice trailed off as her deceased boyfriend's body appeared at the forefront of her mind. "Raphael never did explain the history of my pack...and my alpha frankly isn't a lot of help," she said with a hiss. "All I know is I'm some spell werewolf with diluted magister blood in me and took Raphael's place. My alpha trains me for a couple years in pack ways, then sends me here to look after some Malific twins and protect them from harm, but says I'm free to slaughter any other vampire or dhamphir in existence if they threaten your safety...as well as serving as a food source, friend and sexual interests for only you two or so I gathered." Madilyn frowned and looked away. "Raphael did say the pack has existed since around the creation or shortly after the creation of the first Malific vampire and therefore the house...but he didn't go into the details and nobody else ever has explained just how or why the pack became servants, protectors and companions to your house m'leige," she said. elextrified elextrified

Ellie
Half Vampire Bat

Ivan knew Mr. Allister from his crest, he was human, he didn't shoot magic bullets (aw), and there were other Magic Tech around... Ellie wanted one. Then Ivan explained how the tool worked, which was pretty interesting, except Ellie didn't know if she had mana or not... Well if humans had mana, why couldn't she? Ellie was pretty human... Or at least, she regarded herself as a human. Just a very... different one. Well, if Ellie *did* have mana, and if she *could* choose a weapon, then she'd get shoes because... that was probably the most functional thing she could get. Why did she have wings?

Mr. Allister then asked if both Ivan and Ellie knew their roommates, to which Ellie immediately replied, "Yes." Of course she remembered her roommate. Her roommate was... was... her roommate... was.... Alex? Erin? No, she was pretty sure it started with an A.... "Though... I don't know where the rooms are." She looked over at Ivan, expecting an answer from the magic man. Magic Man... hehe....

Kalean seemed to only grow more nervous at the mention of fetching blood, not to mention the woman hadn't exactly calmed her when saying how hard the labour would apparently be, she'd heard of that sort of thing but she was trying to keep it out of thought as best as possible, she mostly spaced out until the cold gel was suddenly placed on her now espoused stomach and she shuddered once blinking in slight shock and confusion, "C-Cold!?…." she muttered under her breath. She continued to listen, blushing also as the woman asked the question to Ash, as she began to say there was both bad and good news, something about the heartbeat being good, she let out a shaky sigh of relief at this, continuing to lay back with her bulging and distended stomach revealed, the baby kicked once lightly against the device and she let out a small giggle, it almost seemed like it was attacking the foreign device. She'd do anything in her power to keep this child with her, Athena was luckily on her side with this. "I-It'll be okay Ash, I promise~….." she replied.

“Of course,” he said, responding to Roland’s comment. “Catalysts, unless manufactured, are harder to come by, and the manufactured catalysts can end up weaker in most cases. There are lesser materials like Silver and such, but nothing beats natural crystals that can be runed like this one.”

For all that he was educated on, unless one had their own mine, catalysts like the ones in the MagiTek corporation’s focuses were quite difficult to get. The focus had cost his family a small fortune due to the customization they had put in with the order, which included the attunement, but whatever money they put into it, with the small amount of experience he had with at least charging the Focus, it was worth it. Almost automatically responsive to his will, smooth transitions between low and high capacity, and an enormous amount of mana that he could store in it made the Focus hard to beat for it’s level. Most usually, it was the go-to for many Magisters and supernaturals since it had a good balance and one could learn how to use it fairly quickly.

When being questioned about his room, Ivan pulled out his documents and held up his packet, room number and bunk-mate included, and nodded. It’d be nice if he had someone show him to the dorms, but…

He was going to be delayed. The moment he had noticed that someone, who he hadn’t seen before, had been falling, his reactions were immediate. Reflexively, to cover his armament, since he didn’t have to hold his ruck (being that it was on his back), Ivan’s right hand covered the space in which his Dominator would sit, confined within its locked chest rig and hidden by his jacket. At the same time, Ivan’s mana flared again, with the same spell as last time, eyes glowing as his left hand snatched out to catch the boy by the nape of his jacket before they could hit the ground. With a bit of heft, Ivan’s left hand pulled upward to stop the boy from falling over and instead held him up so the boy’s feet would swing far enough to place themselves underneath. Once that had happened, he’d sit the boy down so that they’d land on their feet and held on until they were able to balance themselves.

“You alright?” He asked, brow furrowed. It was weird that someone would trip on such even ground to him, so he had some level of suspicion, but for now, he kept his right hand over his Dominator, patting the boy on the back. “Hard to trip in this area – shoe size wrong, maybe?”

For whatever reason, Ellie had given him a strange glance, but Ivan let it go over his head for now. What was more important was the fact that the three of them had a very sudden, unannounced guest, and he had no idea who the boy was.

“What’s your name, friend?” Ivan asked the boy who had tripped. “I’m Ivan.”
