Valencia steeled her nerves as she readied herself for her first mission as an official ranger. Her fingers followed her mental state by braiding her pigtails for a more outdoor friendly escapade. As she absorbed the information regarding the dinosaurs she removed her hat and pushed her glasses up to her head," Um....She's fertile.... as in she HASN'T mated or laid eggs? If...she has could we use the eggs to draw her attention...." Valencia's words were somewhat apprehensive but still held knowledge. She had taken the nonlethal approached they wanted and surmised a quick a solution. It wasn't fleshed out but it was an idea," OR.... if y'all are willing....we could use....A, singular, triceratops to lure it away...."

Valencia's planning was interrupted by an intern's outburst. His questions did irk the young woman and earn a very obvious eyeroll from her, albeit his queries were valid. Without facing him, Valencia sighed and decided to tell him a truth," We....are specialists....We are here to handle what you...can't," She looked at Decker hoping he would play along. Valencia turned to the intern with a slight look of annoyance," Remember this...Your organization is obviously not well equipped to handle your own creatures when you are using ELEPHANT tranquilizer on DINOSAURUS! Yes, this an unprecedented emergency, BUT an emergency none the less. Take your grievances up the chain of command instead of with outside help. Also, could you fetch the tranquilizer. All of it!" Her demeanor had changed from apprehensive to a more collected woman with a game plan. 'Whew! That was a lot! I hope I don't have to do that again....I didn't NEED do that in the first place! AUGH! They probably think I'm a piece of entitled shit! But I'm not wrong. I mean seriously, who in hell uses elephant traqs on dinosaurs!'

Decker Grayson

Decker was following what the rangers said with ease, taking note of the distances between the Spinosaurus and both the skirmish and the herd of Triceratops. 'So just offing the thing's out of the question, gotta find a way to corral it before it charges and breaks something.' Animal corralling wasn't really something he put any time into learning, but it couldn't be that hard. Even if he was wrangling an ancient predator from the late Cretaceous. Rather unexpectedly, Valencia began hesitantly throwing out ideas to try and lure the predator away from doing any lasting damage.

Unfortunately, the intern's interjection led Valencia into an outburst that really didn't help the public image they should be trying to cultivate. Even if that intern was being a bit of a dick. With the tirade over, Decker stepped in for damage control. Once again, he projected a casual confidence as to not try and pressure everyone into a course of action. "What the kid is tryin' to say is that any way you slice it, we're here to help. I'm sure you guys are workin' with the best you've got with your fundin', we aren't tryin' to judge. But you do have a point, we aren't the experts here. It's you guys who know these animals inside and out, so we're askin' you guys to help. Years of training ain't gonna come in an hour, but with your know-how and our boots on the ground, we can get this done with minimal issue." There was a pause, not for applause, just for effect. "She does raise a point though, we're gonna need some tranqs." At the end of his own little speech that would hopefully ease any rising tensions, he gave Valencia a look that said 'we're talking about what you just did. Later.' Then, he addressed the intern very directly. "Trust me, more than meets the eye to both of us. We'll be able to handle ourselves." Again, he projected that same casual confidence. Internally, Decker really hoped Jason would never hear of this. 'I'd never hear the fuckin' end of it.'

Faunt smiled at Mint as she made her comments about going lethal. *She’s a natural soldier,* he thought as a strange sense of pride sparked in his chest. He ignored it and monitored the situation, peering out the door of the aircraft from his seat across the cabin. Stardust sailed like so many murderous pixies firing upon the metal man, to great effect. The plasma bit and melted chunks in him, and he roared as a few pinholes were torn open in his shell, which he quickly closed up. He also seemed to pull in the metal around him again, except for that effected by Octavia’s hammer, and added to his main mass. In moments, as Jason back stepped away from him, he had grown into a version of himself twice the size of when octavia first met him. That was when the black ranger kicked up a dust cloud.

“Hey! What the f*ck is she doing?” Said Piper as the massive column of sand engulfed the scene below. She hung the ship just a bit lower and kicked the thrusters on high, which quickly counteracted the obstruction. Jason looked back at Octavia with a similar sentiment.

“Civilian! I’m going to need you to stand down, we’re eliminating this threat,” he said, having not been too thrown off by the sudden appearance and disappearance of a dust cloud. turning his attention back to Ferro, he met eyes with the enemy whom looked over him like an angry obelisk.

“Red Ranger, well this IS convenient. Stay there so I can kill you,” Ferro reached down with a hand now the size of a car and attempted to swat Jason like a toddler would an ant. Jason thrust out his plasma weapon, gigantic in it’s own right, as if it weighed nothing at all. Gripping it by the very end of it’s handle, plasma covered his glove before consuming his entire weapon like a rapid fluid. It’s crescent peak then met Ferro’s hand in the air as it came down and burned through it, the plasma which covered it’s every inch acting on the metallic warrior to melt his hand in half. It continued to smack the ground on either side of Jason with a rumble. Ferro looked surprised, but not in pain.

“What’s the matter, Ferro? I stayed right here, but you didn’t kill me?” Said Jason, in a tone that denoted he was definitely smiling like an asshole as he floated. Jason then waived his scythe behind him, again with one hand in a manner that seemed to deny it’s weight, and swiped it just as quickly as one might a knife across Ferro’s giant newly-formed legs, each the size of oaks. The plasma-covered pole arm’s length did much for it as it melted away another layer of metal. Ferro tumbled over as if he were in fact a tree being felled.

As Valencia spoke, the ranger trainee’s face went red. His female counterpart stood with a look on her face that said *’whew, what a b*tch. Glad I didn’t say it,’* The two elder park rangers’ stopped holding their breath when Decker spoke with a slightly more menial tone. To try and smooth over the awkward silence that followed, the man spoke up on the Blue Ranger’s heels.

“Righto, we’ll get to it then. You go on and grab the tranquilizers and make sure the van’s gassed up.” He snapped at his apprentice. The younger was about to protest but his superior snapped his fingers again and off he went. The man turned to Valencia especially with an apologetic tone. “I’m sorry for the lad. He’s always been mouthy, but he’s a smart guy. Mouth moves faster than his brain, yknow?” The park ranger coughed slightly then continued. “What you said earlier was along the lines of what we were thinking. She has no eggs yet, one of the reasons this situation makes us more nervous, but luring her away from the battle with a Triceratops would be fairly simple. Sacrificing an old mare would be preferable to the entire flock, and if you two can scout ahead to give her the drugs beforehand while we go and get the bait when all’s said and done we might just get her to take a nap, da*nit!” The ranger seemed to be thinking as he spoke, and exclaimed excitedly at the end. The woman addressed the female trainee.

“Sarah, you stay here with Jeremiah and run comms. Let us know if the situation with the Alien gets out of control. Sarah didn’t seem to entirely be listening. “Sarah, honey what is it?” The girl was peering at the battlefield through binoculars, which had a quickly clearly dust cloud around it.

“There’s a Power Ranger out there...” she mumbled in awe.

“Holy sh*t are you serious?” Said the older man, pulling his own binoculars up to his face. “I’ll be...” he said as they fell upon Jason cutting down a giant metal golem like timber. After a second he tore his gaze away. “Sorry, we don’t have time for this. The jungle path directly down the stairs will lead you straight to her. Jeremiah should have the tranquilizer gun ready for you by now. If you see any smaller predators, feel free to defend yourselves. D*mn velociraptors are pests. Let’s go,” he said, motioning towards the steps that cling to the side of the watchtower.

Valencia

Valencia shrunk back down. Her face flushed. She was not used to dealing with people as herself; she was used to being ‘ValorTrix’ for her streams and pictures, but a nameless huntress for the scum. Here she was herself with no barrier for protection. Her inadequacy in socializing was ironic and on full display. Valencia’s urge to apologize was massive but her pride was a demon of its own, but her embarrassment was its sidekick now, and there was no beating the two. Valencia slowly came back to reality as the older Park Ranger spoke. He had agreed that her ideas were plausible, but she still felt wrong for attacking the young man for his objections. The young woman nervously played with her braids. Valencia didn’t want to look anybody in the face, especially Decker. As they walked away she started to walk down the trail,” S-s-sorry….” She mumbled hoping Decker heard her, but not wanting him to hear her admittance of fault.

Decker

Decker internally let out a sigh of relief once everyone seemed to calm down and get to work. Working with some less-than-personable members of the underworld got him to develop people skills fast. "Don't worry about it, seems like he's got a good head on his shoulders. Just a bit quick on the draw." interjected Decker as the older park ranger appologised for the intern. 'Now I might be layin' it on a bit thick. Really miss having my crew at my back.' The only upside he could see was that it might get the Rangers back into public good graces after the widespread coverage of the last mission. Though Valencia's appology was almost too faint to be heard, her body language said all it needed to. A part of him wondered if he was being too hard on the new Ranger, making her feel unwelcome. The rest of him was familiar with how the underworld would deal with that. 'Ain't in the Hive anymore, I'm a Ranger for however long these powers stick around. Just gotta remind myself.' He shot her a sympathetic look, like he understood what she was going through, in an attempt to get her more comfortable. Plus, having a jumpy partner in a high-risk op was just bad practice. Following the elder park ranger down to the trail, he made sure to check the tranq gun and chamber a round. No telling when he'd need to use it, so it was best to be prepared. Now out of the building, however, and his awareness tried to stretch across the entire area of the Sanctuary. With a few practiced breathes, he managed to concentrate only on his immediate area instead of everything for miles. He just needed to keep his concentration during a dangerous situation with a massive prehistoric predator. "Let's get this show on the road, I'm not sure how long Arcade Fire's gonna last out there." The sooner it was over, the better.

The eldest Park Ranger led Decker and Valencia down the road holding two fifty-caliber elephant rifles over his shoulder. Despite being in good shape, the sizable woodsman was still huffing from their weight. Eventually they reached a fork. On the right the tree-line seemed to get lighter and lead to a more clear wetland area. The left lead to denser jungle towards the mountains. The Power Ranger’s guide stopped here and let the load off his shoulders. He pointed down the left path, and spoke up. “Follow this road to the foot of the mountain. The Spinosaurus’ den is there, and if she’s left it I’d be surprised. They sort of go into this berserker mode when they get a bloodlust, and they have to work themselves up a lot by generally hyperventilating and demolishing the forest. It’s really quite fascinating,”

He said this almost cheerfully. As if to accentuate this point, the sound of snapping limbs and a short howling roar came forth. The Park Ranger laughed nervously. “I’ll wait here for the rest of the crew, we’ll go down the other way to the herd. Are you two... sure you’ve got this?” He said, offering one fully loaded Elephant Rifle forth. The firearm was a conventional, black powder firearm with fifty-caliber tranquilizer rounds specially made for the thing, but otherwise was normal.

Octavia

Octavia realized what the Rangers were aiming to accomplish. Between the one-woman, aerial firing squad and the Crimson Reaper, she didn't see any chance at Ferro leaving the deset alive. Then it occurred to her, they weren't exactly pulling any punches. The Rangers weren't policing Super Mechana, they were just bloodhounds for the police. Putting Ferro down was the only way to make sure he never harmed anyone else again, but Octavia came to settle a personal score. Not to watch someone get rid of her biggest personal failure for her. Not knowing what to do for a moment, Octavia shifted back and forth on her feet, searching for the inspiration to pick a fight with someone who looked like they had about as much control of their abilities as she did.

Eventually, she found it, when the Red Ranger cut Ferro down like Octavia had tried to and failed to draw 'blood.' He was receding into himself, which she took to understand as him being on the ropes. "I said," she began under her breath, shaking off the jagged scraps of metal she'd scavenged from Ferro from her hammer, "that's enough!" Octavia planted her feet into the sand and felt the planet's very core far beneath them, summoning back her ramped-up density to prepare for what might've been the dumbest decision of her life. The rocket in her maul sparked to life, and with the form of a pro ball player, she took her home-run worthy swing. Into the Red Ranger's gut.

Jason

A hearty yell was the only thing to alert Jason about his upcoming collision with a meteor-level impact to his torso. He turned just in time to receive the blow into his own weapon’s shaft, blocking the hammer with the blade on the ground and the hilt facing towards the sky. The two Ranger Weapons gave a resounding supernatural vibration out from themselves when they impacted, which both rangers would feel in their bones. If not for the stabilization given by Jason’s ability to control the plasma engulfing his weapon, it would have been ripped from his hands altogether under the Black Ranger’s superior magnitude.

“Crew, be advised I’m subduing the bystander,” Said Jason so that Octavia could hear. The communicator in his helmet did the relay work for him, and Piper shot back with, “Ugh, Kill me, no need to act cool,” she groaned, Jason then used his Scythe like a flagpole to lift his feet off the ground and aim a double Kick at Octavia’s helmet. The metal boots of his ranger armor adding an extra oomph. Ferro was then just fully recovered on his cranium from Stardust’s first pass, and had reattached his legs. He started to rise. Faunt, watching from the ship’s open door beside Mint, spoke up next.

“Mint, stay on his ass,” He said watching the metal monstrosity recover.

Mint

"That woman, actively trying to prevent us from eliminating the target." Mint watched in frustation as the event unfolded. She thought they would only need to only drag her away, shoot the metal guy and then be done with it. Now things got unnecessarily more complicated. Damn people. Since Jason was occupied by the fledgling ranger then it would be up to her to handle Ferro. The Stardust returned to her side and five of them combined into a single large plasma chakram. Blazar spun around for a while, gaining momentum as Mint spoke to Faunt and Piper. "That civilian, keep her away from me. I'm going in." She floated down from the aircraft and landed on the ground. The spinning weapon behind her not only blown her clothes and hair forwards but also kicking sand up, making her looks like she was inside a localized sandstorm.

"A shame. I'm actually quite curious on how a mind without brain works, but bye." Mint extended her hand forward and her chakram started to circle around Ferro in such a high speed that it started to cover the area with floating sand, hindering the vision of both Ferro and Mint. However, this time Mint was ready. She had enough of her sight being blocked during missions, just like that time during the blackout in the storage, so she thought of something that should solve it. "Echolocation." A weak psychic wave swiped was emitted, giving everyone a harmless weird feeling inside their head. A direct psychic intervention would usually met with resistance, which was why Mint almost never try using her telekinesis on another people. In this instance though she was looking for those resistance to determine the position of Ferro inside the rising sand. "There. Go." On her command the spinning saucer of death parted the sand cloud and quickly made its way towards Ferro's direction. Intending to split his body in two. Right, down, the middle.

Blazer was just big enough to sever the top half of Ferro’s torso in two vertically. Either half stayed in place, being made of metal, but as the giant glaive passed through him his face turned to one of shock. The glaive continued to soar onto the other side of the giant, and he let out the loudest scream of agony he had yet as the black aura which made up his spirit trailed behind the fan-like plasma weapon of Mint’s. Through his still open eyes, after the wound closed, the black spirit was much dimmer now, but not nonexistent. He stumbled forward a couple steps, but was apparently not strong enough to attack any ranger near him.

Octavia

Immediately following the Red Ranger's kick was a distinct click. The HUD behind her already compromised visor shut off, and Octavia realized that more had been damaged in her helmet than she realized. All it took was a swift twist to the interlocking mechanism between the helmet and neckguard for the whole thing to come popping off. The attack landed on the lower half of her face, practically on her chin, and sent her head whipping back and facing away from the Ranger as the helmet clunked off. From it flowed a glorious fountain of hair, so pitch black in contrast to the golden sands, it could've acted inversely as a beacon for miles away. After a second taken to recover, she faced her opponent again. There wasn't much of a point trying to just cover her face with her hand, so she embraced it with confidence.

Besides her father and eldest brother, the impromptu commander to their family's PMC, the Rooks were hardly celebrities. Even so, it wasn't outside the realm of possibility for individuals within the SFD, and subsequently the Rangers, to recognize the viking princess-esque face sitting between those famously broad Rook shoulders. "Call off your gunner, I don't have any beef with you guys. I just want the freak alive." The Red Ranger wasn't even really trying, and Octavia was obviously outnumbered. Whether it was 2 or 5 of them, fighting them was a different ballpark than Ferro. Maybe talking would do something. Or at least maybe the right words would have, if the girl in the ship hadn't descended with a blade of her own and cleaved her mark practically in half. Even with the lack of traditional blood, Octavia couldn't help but cringe.

"Fuck! Just... Just go! You've done enough, let me bring him in... I need this."

Jason let his body fall back down after a successful strike, but his movements were rather half hearted considering his Opponent had stopped fighting. Even so, the kick he delivered was like kicking some sort of statue. About what he might expect from attempting hand to hand combat with someone like Ferro, but not simply a very-strong human. If he hadn't had his armored boots, he might have broken his foot. The Red Ranger landed upright in the dirt with a light *thud* and put a hand on his hip, holding the other on his scythe, it's big end still connected to the earth.

"Hm? Well that's not what I expected. Big bruiser like you, giving up and talking it out that quick? Well, maybe that means you're as much brains as you are brawn. That's good. It's nice to meet you, Black Ranger," He looked from Octavia to Ferro, "and I'm sorry, but I can't let him go. Why do you care so much?" The Red Ranger's tone was somewhat apologetic, but mostly conversational. He looked towards Mint, and drug his finger across his neck symbolically, and then back to Octavia again.

"He's a monster. If he made it into town he could have killed dozens, hundreds maybe. And he wouldn't stop until he killed me, her," He nodded briefly in mint's direction, the sun gleaming off the top of his cherry red helmet, "you, and our two teammates. He isn't just a criminal, he's Evil. I can promise you that. Anyone aligned with Rita is,"

While Jason had been talking, dark clouds had gathered over the desert plains that was their battlefield. They swirled unnaturally as if threatening to summon a tornado, but instead green electricity sparked in their center. The emerald bolt rocketed to earth faster than any one present could react to, completely vaporizing one of the thrusters on the SDF ship.

"SH*T!" Piper exclaimed, frantically pulling the stick to balance out the missing wing as it sailed eastward to collide with the earth. It seemed to be a controlled crash in the soft sand, but a crash nonetheless a good few hundred yards away. Jason's eyes widened as the bolt continued on to strike Ferro, and the man screamed an even more unnatural scream than before. Not a cry of pain, but rather of horror. His voice seemed to split into many for a moment, all crying in unison. All the while his metal shell began to bubble and boil. Instead of melting away, however, it started to grow past the two story height he already had.

At first his torso eclipsed his legs and smothered them, and he grew into what looked like a mound of lava the size and width of a house. After a moment, when the green electricity dissipated, it cooled to look more like Ferro's natural metallic hue again. Then out of the top came a dripping shining skull of liquid metal, who's structure was somewhat akin to a dragon, it's eyes pouring with fiery black aura. Eventually the large pile produced six legs of fitting size to carry itself and it's new head, and it roared similarly to a dinosaur, except that if there were some glass windows around they surely would have shattered. The monstrosity's shadow on only it's snout eclipsed Mint, and it faced her.

"Zero Star! MINT CODE ZERO STAR, NOW" He looked up at where the creature was beside Octavia and He, frantically grasping his weapon.

Octavia Rook

However slight, Octavia didn't appreciate the Red Ranger's assumptions. From brute to socialite, in fact, she hated being put into boxes. She was willing to let those brush off, no harm done, when the stranger decided to throw yet another predetermined role at her nonchalantly. One that had been sitting at the back of her mind since the escape at Supermax. She would've refused it right away, said that she wasn't the person they thought she was, but just as she found the words, they had already moved on to questioning her motives. "I'm not stupid, I know exactly how dangerous this guy is. Hell, I was the last to turn the key on him." She took a step back to pick up her helmet and settled it under her arm. "I'm Octavia Rook. Ex-Warden to Rook Supermax, legally pronounced dead, now a vigilante. The one thing I'm not is a damn Power Range-"

The mutation taking place in the middle of their own battlefield demanded her attention, but so did the rapidly descending aircraft. Octavia decided she'd gotten whatever catharsis she was going to get out of Ferro, and that it was time to move on. "God! You can't even die right!" she belted out at Ferro's shifting mass, before returning to the Red Ranger. "You and your gunner have got this, I'm getting your pilot! Put him down for me, Redhead." With that, she marched as fast as she could around the perimeter of the crater towards the crash site.

Valencia

Decker's sympathetic gaze released some of Valencia's stress on the uneventful hike. 'Decker...He has a way with words...By the way he reacted to me earlier, and his clothes, he must be used to slick people and conmen...Or he is a ass hat politician!' On their way she could hear the park ranger huffing, but she guessed it was from the two rifles. Her gaze fell on the older man as she gave him a soft smile," Thank you, sir. We will be okay." she declared as she took the rifle. 'Heavy... I shouldn't lug this up the mountain.' The weight of of the rifle dispersed as a magnetic force enveloped it. She pretended to hoist the rifle up to a more careful placement in front of her chest.

As they took off up the mountain, Valencia noticed Decker's more concentrated breaths," If you don mind me asking...What was that and are you ok?" She didn't want to step on his toes, but she felt she needed know if something was up. With the park ranger out of view she released the tranquilizer rifle to float in front her. The analytic fingers of Valencia perused the firearm. 'I wonder if I could upgrade this! Now wouldn't be a good time, but I could increase the fire rate and ammo capacity...Or I could could completely reconstruct it to be a low powered railgun! I can't customize this now, but the potential!' The droves of possibilities that over took her mind was killing her. Valencia's excitement was on full display with the first full smile she had since she met the other Power Rangers. With her thoughts racing, the gun began to flip and turn to the young woman's discerning eye. She couldn't wait to get home and upgrade anything and everything in sight.

As Octavia approached the crash site, at a hundred yards, storm clouds were already gathering tow swirl over it as well. Suddenly in an uneven flurry smaller bolts of emerald electricity struck the ground, kicking up dust around it. The door had still been open, and Octavia would see Faunt's head pop out of the side of the craft to see what the lightning had done. Where it struck the ground, in fact, were a dozen or so seemingly-mechanical humanoids. Through the cracks in their shifting metal bodies came steam and the glow of mana energy. Magically powered automatons from the looks of it, all expressionless.

"Piper! Get out here, we're under attack,"

"Yes sir!" Replied piper's voice from inside the sideways craft. Faunt vaulted out of the side door and looked as though he was about to engage one of the mechanical beings in hand to hand combat, but when he struck the thing in the chest with his palm, some sort of sonic force came out of it and obliterated the thing's torso almost entirely. Two others started to rush him as Piper's head peaked out of the craft. Three robots began to approach Octavia as well, when she came close to the small dent in the earth the crash had made.

They seemed to waste no time, and out of each of their forearms protruded energy blades about a foot long. At slightly quicker than humanly possible, they all three attempted to surround her before coming close enough to engage.

Valencia's answer had seemed to satisfy the Park Ranger as he waived them along to continue their hike. The path below them gradually became less worn and more knotty with tree roots and rock. The sound of a massive creature scraping it's claws became louder as they walked, and the sky overhead had darkened as if there were a storm nearby.

Mint Blaun

Mint watched in awe as the lightning struck Ferro and transformed him into a gigantic monster he was right now. She did heard Jason screamed at her or the sound of the airship falling behind her but her gaze seemed to be fixated on the monstrousity in front of her. It took her a few seconds before she snapped back and telekinetically dragged herself backward, almost as if she was skating on the sand. Whereas she fought Ferro with indifference before now she had a visible smirk on her face.

"Cool transformation! Now die!" As she was sliding backward, her weapons reassembled themself into the form of a plasma cannon and floated next to her. The cannon could be seen charging itself with pink energy before it let out a big blast, at least for human's size, towards Ferro's head.

Decker

Decker nodded to the older man as he left, enacting his part in their plan. With Valencia's question on his status, he let out a small sigh. "I'll be fine, just gotta focus. Not gonna try'n assume that your power don't have a downside, but with mine... yeah. Wide open spaces like this ain't really my thing. Kinda... overloads my brain without focusing on turning it down, y'know?" The Yellow Ranger may be a new addition, but she was still part of the team. In his head, that meant letting her know about liabilities. Marching towards the foot of the mountain wasn't exactly his favorite pasttime, occationally readjusting the rifle he had braced with his shoulder and left arm. On his right arm, with a flash of blue light, his bracer appeared with the grappling function of the Claw formation. "I'm just hopin' nothing goes too crazy. Last time was already a bit more than anyone really expected."

A rustle in the bushes to the left of Valencia could be heard, and in a bit of a blur out charged a humanoid figure. It’s form was plated with black metal, and out of the cracks between the plates came a glowing blue aura. Just as it reached where the yellow ranger was on the narrow path out of the shrubbery, it grew two plasma blades out of each hand. It swiped at her face with far more swiftness than any human. Decker would hear a rustling on his side as well at the same time, slightly deeper into the forest, but no source presented itself by sight.

Valencia

Valencia nodded as Decker spoke. She understood but her 'awakening' wasn't a big hinderance like Decker's. As the last few few words left his lips her mind began to churn again," Um....I-I-If you have a problem...focusing? M-maybe you need s-something to focus on? Like something minuscule, almost benign...Y-you would need something that keeps your focus on that item so it would basically scale your power, if I am understanding what's going on with your ability." As she rambled on and on her hands moved in conjunction with her words. As Valencia's thoughts spilled into the environment, realization began to creep on her face," BUUUUUT! It would take time to build such a thing and also it probably take a lot more time for you to hone your focus on said item....And with time you would subconsciously...focus...on it." She mumbled somewhat embarrassed of her ramblings.

At the moment Decker uttered his sentence, a new contender made their presences known. The rustling of the bushes was quickly followed by the putty jumping out with a strike towards Valencia's face. ,"Shit!" She was expecting a carnivores reptile, not metallic humanoid with some speed in its tank, although she wasn't ready for it she was still able to dodge with a simple back handspring. Valencia used her momentum to carry her into a back tuck. Using a tree behind her Valencia rebounded into the Putty. A small smirk could be seen on the girls face as she used her momentum to twirl herself around the creatures body, ending with it landing on its back and Valencia hand on its head," Get zapped alien thingy!" She screeched as she released a couple of volts into the thing. Quickly backing away she wiped the blood off of her nose," Decker! Are you OK?"

Just after Valencia finished off her own enemy, causing it’s body to collapse to the ground with convulsions, two similar automatons rushed out after Decker leaving no time for the Yellow ranger to aid him. Accompanying this disturbance, was another long yell the two would recognize as a nearby apex predator. In fact, there were also great swift footsteps pounding one after another faintly in the distance. Each louder than the next.

Eventually right down the path from the two Rangers the head of a reptilian carnivore reared it's ugly maw. It opened it's jaws and massive droplets of saliva flew from it's mouth as it let out a howl, pursuing the spot they stood battling the strange humanoid robots. The Spinosaurus was trotting at full speed, occasionally smashing and trampling shrubbery below it's rumbling steps. It's scales were a mixture of deep auburn and oranges with flecks of cherry red, which would have been mesmerizingly gorgeous any other time. Now, however, it looked hungry and not so beholden.

Jason

Mint’s stardust canon effected Ferro’s new monsterous form somewhat, blowing a hole through his reptilian skull which looked the size of a quarter in comparison to his massive size. A little aura spewed out like steam from a pipe, but it did not effect him as much as it had as a humanoid. Instead it seemed to anger the being as he galloped towards where Mint backed away from him. Each step of his six metal hooves covering yards and yards at a time. Jason was trying on foot to keep up with the Behemoth on his own two feet, having left the protection of Piper and Faunt to the Black Ranger. He wasn’t entirely sold on the idea, but had no other choice for now.

“Wait, what am I doing,” said Jason, covering his scythe in plasma from tip to tip. He used his plasma-kinesis to cause it to fly, and quickly hopped onto it, grabbing his boots with some of the liquidy-superheated gas to keep him locked on like a snowboard. Within moments he had reached beside Ferro’s eye. He the hopped off his mount, grabbed it with his hands, and did a full three sixty before hooking the plasma blade into the monster’s face. Being so thick, it didn’t cut through him like it had before, but got stuck. Molten metal dropped off the monster as it roared, and Jason pulled back on it like he was desperately trying to pry open a box with a crowbar. This at least caused Ferro to thrash and cease pursuing mint.

Mint

Mint's plasma cannon rattled as it shortly flickered out of existence. Mint realized that the open nature of their current environment would be advantageous for the giant Ferro's movement. Nothing for them to hide and nothing to slow him down so Mint shifted her focus to get away from the monster as soon as possible while Jason caught his attention. She was pleased to see the hole on his skull though. If one shot can't kill him, then another one!

The forest. Try luring him there to slow him down. I'm going to snipe him. Mint sent a telepathic message into Jason's mind as she floated backward and made considerable distance between herself and Ferro.

Jason

The bucking bull that was the metal menace went more wild the longer Jason's weapon seared into his steely flesh. His cries of rage were haunting and sad. Jason nearly lost his grip on the scythe between the thrashing of the thing's head and the mental message which was beamed into his brain that caused him to flinch.

The Forest? Alright, let's do it Blaun. Give me a warning and then blow his head off, Jason waited until the thing was ready to attempt a charge at the distant pink ranger once more, and then took advantage of it's forward momentum. Yanking on it's eye socket like reigns of a large steed he steered it hard in the direction of the eastern treeline, perpendicular to the crash site and coincidentally towards the section of woods Decker and Valencia were wandering. Just before they were about to crash into a massive prehistoric redwood, holes opened up on the thing's skull beneath the Red Ranger's feet. He took the hint, and disengaged quickly. Out of them shot spikes of crystalline glass each as tall as a man.

"Fuck!" Said Jason falling back to earth, "A second longer and I'd have been a spit roast," He commented. He took his scythe in both hands before the beast could round on him, and swiped at one of it's massive back legs. It teetered and the extra weight of it's bum caused it to fumble a moment. "MINT! NOW!" He said, calling out to his teammate mentally and verbally.
