Once upon a time, humanity and dragons lived together in harmony on the now lost continent of Mu. They worked together to fight evil and keep The Darkness, a mindless force of sin, from engulfing the world with its evil. However, as the centuries went on, corruption began to leak into the minds of both humans and dragons, slowly whittling away this once beautiful friendship. During this time, two brothers were born, Azoiss and Tezod. The two brothers were once great allies to humanity, fighting evil and generally aiding them. Still, then Darkness started leaking into Azoiss' mind, corrupting him with delusions of grandeur and making the already battle-hardened dragon convinced he was the most powerful one in existence and worthy of ruling the world.

Azoiss, now known as The Corrupter, rallied up an army of corrupted dragons and men against the armies of the Dragon Lords and the Men of Mu, with his brother Tezod leading the charge. After years of hard fighting, Azoiss's army was routed, and he and his evil dragons were sealed away alongside The Darkness, but at the great sacrifice of 7 of the eight remaining dragon lords, leaving Tezod as the last great Dragon left on Earth, and the only one to guard his Brother's eternal prison.

Centuries passed by, and Azoiss' prison remained untouched until the organization known as TALON emerged onto the scene in the year 20xx. His brother failed to realize that while his brother was physically imprisoned, his mind was free to travel the astral plane. Now thoroughly corrupted by Darkness, he contacted many influential criminal minds and promised great fortune and power if they went under his banner resulting in TALON's formation. TALON wreaked havoc worldwide, committing crimes and slowly reintroducing Darkness into the world. These actions caused Azoiss' prison to weaken enough to break it. Azoiss was able to free himself, but not his army, and escaped, severely weakened but still managing to elude his brother.

Fortunately, Azoiss's escape awoke the spirits of the Dragons who sacrificed themselves to imprison The Corrupter, and they came with good news. They told of Champions amongst the humans who, if appropriately trained, could not only defeat TALON and The Corrupter but possibly reintroduce dragons to the world and re-establish their relationship with humanity, the only challenge now, finding ones worthy of becoming these Warriors.

In this RP, you are playing as a teenager in the city of Thunder Bay, Florida, who is chosen by one of these Dragon Spirits to fight the forces of TALON and The Corrupter. Not only will you have a Zord, but you will also be playing the dragon spirit guiding you on your journey against evil. You will be pitted against TALON's army of criminals, saboteurs, and other ner-do-wells, and The Corrupter's shadowy minions, which include this RP's monsters of the week.

NAME : Hanako Aika

AGE : 15 years old

PERSONALITY : Hanako is the type of person to keep to herself. She is quite intelligent, showing an extraordinary proficiency with any weapon handed to her and being really great at combat. However, towards people she is close to, she lets loose. Being sarcastic, teasing, and overall just opens up more. She is also very loyal and caring to those people, helping them with whatever they need and being there if they need any help.
RANGER COLOR : Black
ZORD : Just think the dragon spirit in robot form
BACKSTORY : Hanako came from Japan to America when she was only about 5 years old, but her family kept close to their Japanese roots. Her father taught a dojo when they moved to Florida, and she trained under him. That's when she realised, she couldn't feel pain, none at all. Soon after an incident with a knife, her parents took her to a doctor and she go diagnosed with CIPA. Her parents were worried that one day that Hanako would come home with life threatening injuries and not be able to feel them at all. Her mother forbade her from using anything that could be used as a weapon, rarely let her outside. But Hanako loved training at the dojo a lot, all the different things she could learn, all the weapons she could use. She pleaded with her mother to let her go, her father was willing to keep a close eye on her, after pleading over and over (and maybe some heated arguments-), her mother agreed to let her train once again. With her father's watchful eye, she never for hurt seriously again, but that didn't mean that she wasn't taking hits, she was, but nothing life threatening.
COMBAT STYLE : Prefers to fight with any kind of hand held weapon


DRAGON SPIRIT

NAME : Kuro
APPEARANCE :

PERSONALITY : Kuro was a dragon spirit that was most associated with shadows. His personality however is one if a gentle parent. Knowing of Hanako's CIPA, he always makes sure she isn't too injured anywhere. Hanako kinda of thinks of him as her own human father. Although he can be strict on her when it comes to training and her health. There have been times Hanako had insisted she was fine to Kuro when she was covered in bruises and cuts she didn't know she had even gotten.

Power Ranger

Name: Ryusei Takanashi

AGE: 16

Personality: Ryusei is brave yet reckless and always gets into sticky situations because of this. He does what he can to help others, because he believes that he exists to serve a greater purpose. This is due to his mostly mundane life that was always in a state of monotonous repeatition. While his life took a change for the better, he is not ready for whats to come.....

Ranger Color: Red

Zord: His dragon spirit in robot form. It forms the body and head of the megazord.

Backstory: Your average highschool freshman who faces problems many highschool freshmen face. He was born in your standard middle class family and had a life fit for a child of said family. He's of Japanese-American blood and enjoys watching anime and reading manga.

Combat Style:
Freeform. He has not once studied any martial art, but still has a base undrrstanding of how to punch, kick, and grapple. His ranger suit is actually a form of his dragon spirit, and this grants him the ability to dig tunnels as well as breath fire from his visor. He has no special weapons.


Dragon Spirit

Name:
Terrako
Personality: Terrako is a somewhat reckless individual amongst dragon kind and initially fights alone against the evil dragons that threaten the world. However, Terrako soon has to make a pact with Ryusei, and in doing so, Ryusei became the Red Dragon Ranger. Terrako learns about what it's like being human, and over time, his recklessness fades away and he becomes more wiser than initially.

Notes: Terrako is the youngest dragon spirit, being practically a teenager with attitude when Ryusei meets him.

Terrako is one of the few spirits that becomes both a Ranger Suit and a Zord when the situation calls for it. When Terrako becomes a Zord, Ryusei's ranger armor is still on him. How this works is still a mystery.

Ryusei's favorite food is Chocolate truffles.

Looks:like a fourteen year old version of the guy that becomes the joker in the 80s Batman movie.
Ranger color:yellow
Personality:Harry is a class clown who delights in causing pranks and he is quite childish for a fourteen year old and is always teasing and mocking and pranking people for a laugh, although he isn't psychotic about it.
Backstory:Harry is your normal class clown who delighted in wreaking havoc on math teachers, bullies and anyone else he felt would be good for a laugh, he was born a middle class child and led the life of one.
Combat style:Harry usually fights by using all sorts of prank gags. The fake hand gag? You know it! The joy buzzer? Yeah! Squirting flower? Yep! All of these are usually followed by a mean right or left hook, Harry also has a tendency to crotchshot anyone, man or woman, because it works on women too. Well a shot to any weak spot.

Personality:zarak is a dragon that is collected and serious and stoic, Harry views him as the perfect sane man for a comedy routine, much to the three headed dragons chagrin, anyone who knows him has compared him to a middle aged man that's done with everyone's shit regardless of if it's azoiss's ,terrako's, or harry's. Also don't get him started on Florida man.

Others:he becomes the suit that Harry wears.

Harry has a little brother named Kevin. They both like cake frosting.

Name: Vince "Vinny" Scanlan
Age: 17

Personality:
He's independent, resourceful, and very attentive to those around him. Really just a sweet dork with a passion for books and the outdoors.
Ranger Color: Pink
Zord: Faedrake Zord
Backstory:
Having recently moved to Thunderbay from Portland, Vinny hasn't found the time to really know anyone outside of the occasional "hello" from the neighbors and interactions with school faculty. Vinny's mom is the new head of the liberal arts department at the local university and is also the reason why they moved. It's a dream come true for her and Vinny couldn't be more proud even if it meant some lonely nights at the dinner table (not that he'll ever say anything about it).
Combat Style:
Though not combat-oriented, Vinny has enough brain cells to know how to avoid a punch. In ranger form, his reflexes and agility are enhanced which results in him finding a knack for outlasting his opponent through evasion and precise strikes.
Extra info:

• Vinny is Italian American with some Irish/Gaelic roots.
• His father is a business consultant. Inspired by his wife he quit his job and is now pursuing his dream of opening a microbrewery.
• Some fights may seem like he knows what he's doing but that's later revealed to be mostly muscle memory due to being inadvertently trained by Fei Yune while playing.

Dragon Spirit:

Name: Fei Yune
A curious and fun-loving spirit, Fei Yune was once a Fae (or Fairy) dragon. One of many who served under Tezod during the war. Their extremely small size and knack for traversing the different planes made them the perfect scouts behind enemy lines. Fei Yune was actually the one who awoke the other dragons when Azoiss escaped. Despite their roles though fairy dragons are non-confrontational and often prefer playing amongst themselves or playing practical jokes on other creatures. Though unspoken Vinny's relationship with Fei Yune is brotherly bordering on parenting if that makes any sense. The Fairy dragon has known the human since he was a toddler and would often play with him outside. They don't play as much as they used to now that Vinny is older but he still finds time for this needy and overly energetic dragon.

Extra info:

• Fairy dragons are the smallest subspecies of dragons.
• Their childlike demeanor often makes them out to be the more immature of the subspecies.
• There is no hierarchy among this subspecies but they do hunt and live most of their lives in groups.
• Diet consists of bugs, berries, and fruit.
• They have high regard for nature.

I was thinking the same thing or maybe could reference a colleague? Cause he may not know how to fight but has conditioning and form though currently unaware of it. Turns out playing with his spirit while growing up also acted as some sort of conditioning/training.
