Grandside Arizona - Hidden Base of Halana's Protector's, hidden beneath the Ancient History Museum

With a new addition to the museum being installed, The Rangers of the Protectors must be on their guard for any one of Karonga's warriors who dares make their move on the Red Power Jewel. Halana would be watching a news channel from the lab's monitor. Despite being well aware of how this technology worked this world was still alien to her. "That's right Johnny, Grandside's Ancient History Museum is finally getting a tyrannosaurus of it's every own. What's most unusual about this find is not that it's 100% complete or even it's record breaking size, but the unusual ruby embedded in its lower jaw. Scientists are unsure as to how they are to remove it without damaging the fossil, only time will tell of what this gemstone is." said the news reporter on the screen. Halana would then turn off the monitor and contact her rangers through a gadget she gave to each of them when they promised to help her.

"Rangers, if you can find the time. I must speak to you, it concerns the red power gem. we cannot allow Karkonga and his forces to get a hold of it". She would say to them. all she could do was hope they would respond

Lord Karkonga was reveling in a previous victory, now that he had four power gems in his claws getting the others seemed like it was getting close and closer. "This victory, is the gateway to the success of my campaign" he smirked with his gator-like jaws, he would then give the order to summon his raiders. He wanted a status report on their search, as well as if they had a plan to get the Red Power Gem. "Warriors! Report to me Immediately!" He would say, using acommunicator he gave to his own respective rangers.

Kyle - Grandside Arizona, Central Park

Kyle would be relaxing on a park bench, watching the birds fight over a piece of bread. He was thinking about his sister, and how he was going to help pay off medical bills. "Don't worry sis, I'll think of something..." he would say to himself. He would talk to his father about this, but he was busy acting as chief of police. Kyle had to do this on his own for now, and what ever he was going to do he had to do it soon... His sister can only hold on for so long.

Thorin would be eating her lunch (breakfast) right about now. The meaning of punctuality alluded even her stomach. Two bites in and her communicator started beeping, luckily the bustling ambiance stifled the sound even when playing the message. Thorin held the device next to her ear and replied. "No worries Hal, I'm on my way."

House of Leonard's Maternal Grandparents​

With so much happening everyday, it becomes easy to take the little aspects of life for granted. Aspects like sunlight, fresh air, a clear blue sky. The last time Leonard could remember appreciating the little things was that fated day. The day he found the green Tupuxuara gem. He sat in the dinning room of his grandparents house, reminiscing over the expedition that changed his life forever. Now Leonard had to balance saving the world along with his part time job and classes. A sigh of apprehension escaped his mouth as Leonard stared out of a nearby window. "What a nice day."

The sound of footsteps shuffling down the stairs broke Leonard from his trance. A short, stout elderly woman in floral pajamas sauntered into the dining room with a smile.

"Morning Koala Bear," she said sweetly. Leonard looked up and returned the smile. "It's afternoon, Momo." His grandmother waved her hand in playful dismissal. "Oh, your sense of time deteriorates as you age. Cut me some slack. No classes today?"

"Not for a little while. Thought I'd stop by as usual. Make you guys some tea," he said as he pointed to a kettle on the stove. "Nothing like a cup of fresh tea to kick-start the day."

"You spoil us, sweetheart." She walked over and planted a gentle kiss on Leonard's forehead.

"Just returning the favor, Momo," Leonard said smiling.

No matter how complicated life became, he could still count on good ole' Momo to raise his spirits at the right time. Her timing was extra perfect, for Leonard's communicator started beeping within his pocket. Immediately, he got up and hugged his grandmother. "Sorry, it's my boss at the museum. This may take a while. I'll be back as soon as I can. Love you." With that, he kissed her forehead jogged out of the house and to his car before his grandmother could respond. Right when he sat in his car, Leonard pulled out the communicator and replied after hearing Halana's message. "Understood Ms.Halana. Leaving now." The car was on the road in no time after he returned the communicator to his right pocket and started the engine.

About a 20 minute busdrive filled with snide comments from the golden generation about her attire and Thorin bit her tongue the entire way. She was not the type to get into fights with old ladies. Her attire comprised of ripped jean shorts, a tee with the name of the band currently escapes her, elongated vest, bini, boots, and the occasional bead accessories.

Thorin sauntered onto the premises-the bad busdrive behind her- looking for her ally from the stars. "Hal?" She whispered nearing the dinosaur exhibit.

Sora was watching an anime on her computer when the call from Halana came. Her attire today is some black jeans, a purple tee with the Hyrule symbol from the Legend of Zelda, her trusty black boots, and her black leather jacket. She lets out a sigh and then picks up her communicator. "Alright be right there". She walks outside to her motorcycle while picking up her helmet on the way. She sits down on her motorcycle and begins putting on her helmet. "So it's the red gem this time, this is going to be interesting". She drives off to the museum.

Andi had been on Karkonga's ship for almost a week and she still was still exploring. She had found many hidden gems and nooks that were good for reading. There were also training grounds, places she could experiment with her barriers and practice using her Ranger powers. All in all, this had been a pretty fun adventure so far. Now, she was being called to Karkonga's side. She was curious what could be going on; she hadn't been summoned like this. She made her way to his location, wondering where the other Rangers were.

“On my way.” She sang. She put the device away and said good bye to her friends and headed off. She didn’t have any classes today so she was hanging out with some friends. That was going to be her whole day but it looked like there was going to be a change in planes which she was fine with.

Stepping off of the bus, Jun was expecting to see something. He had directed all of his energy into coming to this city, yet he felt nothing. The black gem had chosen him for some kind of task. Here he was, so what was he supposed to expect to find? Stopping by a burger joint, Jun started eating cheeseburgers to calm himself

Ancient History Museum​

Sora arrives at the museum parking lot and quickly parks her motorcycle. The parking lot has a few cars but it's not really that crowded today. She walks towards the entrance to the secret base in the museum until she notices Thorin which causes to smile. Sora sneaks up behind Thorin and then gives her a hug.

"Hey Thorin, you are looking cute today." Sora releases Thorin from the hug even though she wanted to hug her for a bit longer. "The others are going to be here soon, so do you know anyone that wears red shirts everyday that could be the new ranger?" Sora has always felt it was weird how the gems always made the team feel lie they have to only wear tops that are the same color as their gems.

A kiss on one's cheeks followed by a tight embrace. “Not unless you’re expecting him to take a vacation from delivering presents once a year.” Thorin uttered a soft chuckle while letting go of her aubergine comrade. Ever since joining the team she’d grown accustomed to the impromptu hugs from the other ranger and over time had also grown strangely fond of the physical contact. “You don’t think I look like a ‘hussy’? “ Thorin asked. Reiterating the word used to refer to her on the bus.

Grandside Ancient History Museum​

Red light. Green light. Surprise surprise, yellow light. Now red again. Every stoplight was just another agonizing inconvenience. Usually such a mundane activity as driving wouldn't worry or annoy Leonard. However, when the world rests on whether or not you and a group of strangers can stop a relentless warrior crocodile, time becomes as precious as a life. It's best not to waste time.

After a few minutes, Leonard pulled into the staff parking of the Ancient History Museum in his grey Kia Forte. The Forte was a gift from his parents, given to him shortly after earning his driver's license sophomore year of high school. He didn't name his car like some people. It was a simple tool to make life easier, even if the car had some sentimental value due to being a gift. Getting out of the car, Leonard closed the driver's door nonchalantly and immediately locked the car with his keys. Once he placed his keys inside his left pocket, he hurriedly walked to the rear entrance of the museum with his work ID in hand. Leonard scanned his ID card on the door's scanner. It unlocked. Within a minute, the dinosaur exhibit came into view. The moment he walked, Leonard's eyes were met by the sight of two fellow rangers, Thorin and Sora. Rangers Teal and Purple. Both went to Arizona State, so getting to know them outside of 'work' wasn't difficult. Often Leonard would tease Thorin about her major of choice, Psychology, one of the many fake sciences.

He wasn't sure what the two had been talking about, for he walked in to hear "You don’t think I look like a ‘hussy’?" With the emphasize put on 'hussy', Leonard was positive someone insulted Thorin earlier that day. The person most definitely had to be either old or conservative, for Thorin was only wearing ripped jean shorts, a band tee, an elongated vest,a beanie, boots, and a few beads. It was typical attire for their generation. Regardless, she pulled off the outfit quite well. Leonard smirked and slowed his pace as he approached his fellow rangers. "I'd say you look like a standard psychology major at our school, but that'd be pointing out the obvious," he said playfully.

It was all in good fun obviously. She was glad to see her big green friend. "Well if it isn't the good doctor. Come to grace us with your presence?" Thorin greeted him just the same as Sora.

Thorin's check kiss and tight embarrass causes Sora to smile. She has a chuckle to the Santa joke. Sora gets a little upset that anyone would call her crush a hussy but before she can say anything she noticed their big green friend arrive. She watches as the two do their standard greeting jokingly mocking the other's major. She gives Leo a friendly hug. "Hey Leo it's nice to see you today. Now we just need to wait for little miss pink and we'll be ready for the recruit the new red ranger meeting". She pulls Thorin into another tight embarrass. "You don't look like a hussy and anyone that says that is jealous of your amazing fashion sense". Sora gives Thorin a kiss on the check before releasing her from the embarrass. "Remember my video games are going to make me more famous then both you one day". She releases a small chuckle.

"Thanks. If all else fails, marrying you would be the next best thing. I'd make a great trophy wife." Thorin smiled as if the act were that simple. But it was out there now. Fate consider yourself tempted. Thorin chuckled.

Jun felt even more bored than before. Having eaten maybe six burgers, he didn't feel the fufillment he sought. Getting his phone out, he looked at the local attractions. At the top of the list was a museum. Jun hadn't been to a museum to a while. Probably because of the internet. He could just look up everything he wanted to look at. Dropping his things off at his hotel room. Jun took off for the museum, placing his earbuds in his ears and blasting his anime tunes...

Both team members were pushed aside by utter instinct. Walls blaring red at the scene, the exhibit in complete shambles. The finer details shrouded in a cloud of dust.

Thorin, ensconced in her ranger suit at her behest, stood her ground against whatever was emerging from the cloud. "Come on out!" She demanded. A loud cry responded followed by grand size fireball coming to greet Thorin and her friends.

Jun had no clue what was happening. Why were there things exploding? Why did that person turn into a Power Ranger? What happened to the exhibit?! Getting up, Jun noticed that a group of people were trapped under rubble. Freeing them from the broken down bits of bone, Jun started saving other people. If there was a Ranger here, they would handle whatever the main threat was. For some weird reason, he felt his black gem grow warm in his pocket.

Grandside Ancient History Museum​

"Well of course. Hopefully some of the real science I've learned will rub off of on you," Leonard said teasingly as Thorin hugged him. The two friendly rivals released each other from the hug to have Sora hug Leonard as well. Both teammates were about five foot five inches, a noticeable bit short from Leonard's 6 height of six feet two inches. So when either hugged their big green friend, they both fitted nicely into his chest, just like his grandparents. The thought always landed a warm smile on Leonard's face.

"Hey Leo it's nice to see you today. Now we just need to wait for little miss pink and we'll be ready for the 'recruit the new red ranger meeting'". He watched as Sora pulled Thorin into another tight embarrass. "You don't look like a hussy and anyone that says that is jealous of your amazing fashion sense". Sora planted yet another kiss Thorin's cheek. Leonard swore that those friendly kisses on the cheek weren't so 'friendly'. However, whether or not they were wasn't really of any concern to Leonard. "Remember my video games are going to make me more famous then both you one day," Sora said before she chuckled. He could do nothing but chuckle at the comment as well. Although he did believe in his purple companion, the gaming industry was difficult, to say the least. Leonard couldn't help but worry. 'Just think what her parents might feel.'

Leonard was just about to continue the friendly banter the three off them were having, when their dino stars started glowing. "?" (Using it as short cut to mean a puzzled look and/or sound at whatever just happened) The T-Rex exhibit's skull, along with other debris, fell onto the rangers. Leonard reacted to slowly, allowing himself to be pushed aside, along with Sora, out of harms way by Thorin. As he fell to the floor, he heard "Plesiosaurus!" burst from his savior's mouth. In the very next second, Thorin dawned her teal ranger suit. She yelled "Come on out!" to be met with a thunderous roar, followed by a giant fireball. The young man followed his friend's action, shouting "Tupuxuara!" The green dino star shattered within his morpher, basking Leonard's body in green shards. WIthin the next second, he was in his ranger suit. Without a second thought, Leonard summoned his Tupu Bow, set himself on one knee, activated Hunter's SIght, and fired three quick shot energy arrow at the incoming fire ball.

Ancient History Museum​

"Thanks. If all else fails, marrying you would be the next best thing. I'd make a great trophy wife." This causes Sora's mind to get lost in thoughts for a few moments making her unaware of what was happening around her. Sora getting pushed to the side by Thorin causes her to snap out of her thoughts. She sees her teammates morph and then pinches her check to get herself to focus on the battle she now finds herself in. "Vitalize!" "Pterodactyl!" Purple shards appear surrounding her body before engulfing her with it's energy. Within a second she is morphed into her ranger suit and ready to battle. "Lets clear this with no continues! Ptreo Whip!" A purple energy forms in her right handle that forms into a whip that she quickly uses to attack the incoming fireball with help from Leo's arrows.

The dissipating blaze dispersed around them letting the creature emerge with a myriad of onslaughts, fireballs coming in waves and the lighting finally unveiling their assailant.

"It's a-- headasaurus?" Thorin exclaimed. She fended off the best she could with her clade discs, striking out with some of her throws, but still getting in some hits to minimize the damage.

Jun was dodging fireballs left and right while escorting the last of the people out. Did he normally have this ungodly amount of stamina? Whatever the case, his sudden burst of power helped save lives. He felt pretty good, he felt like he did what he was supposed to do. Just as Jun was about to escape, rubble sealed off the exist. Which now meant he was in a room where POWER RANGERS were about to fight a MONSTER. While this would have been cool if he wasn't the one in this situation. Jun WAS the one in this situation. He backed into a corner, closing his hand around the black gem in his pocket.

A soothing voice echoed only to the unbeknownst black ranger. The gems glow intensifies, sensing the cries of its sibling gems. A wrist apparatus appears in front Jun.

This was possibly the coolest thing Jun had seen today. Which was odd since Jun had seen Power Rangers and Monsters. Holding his arm out, the object binds itself to his left wrist. Holding it up to his face, he received images of long forgotten history and flashes of wild Iguanodon. Suddenly he knew what to do. Walking forward, Jun held up his left wrist and unleashed the power inside
"Black Iguanodon... VIT-A-LIZE!!!!"

An ebony glow stunned the ranger in teal. Another one has join the frey. Hopefully he's on our side... Thorin regained her weapons, disposing of another set of fireballs. Unfortunately this gave the roaring tyranno head the opportunity to charge directly at her, knocking poor teal towards a wall and forcing her to revert back to normal. She held her aching sides cursing under her breath for letting her guard down.

Jun took a good look at himself. He was a Power Ranger! Covered from head to toe in black spandex, Jun felt great. Jumping into the fray, he plowed through a row of fireballs as he charged at the mean dino. Dodging its attacks and skirting around it, Jun had never felt so alive. Laying on a few kicks and punches, the monster was pushed back a few feet. As the dust cleared and all Rangers had their eyes on him, Jun proudly yelled his name and posed as explosions happened behind him
