Fantasy POV: the rogue stealing from you is built like a tank!

She just frowned at him, annoyed. 'And I was raised the right way. I know I'm a bottom feeder but it's better to stay out of trouble and think about the future.' she signed scoldingly before she looked away.

“You’re mean….” He mumbled, standing upright all the way and crossing his arms, pouty

“I’ve robbed many people who weren’t as mean as you, though.” He huffed, translating her signs as fast as they came out

“Who says I’m too skittish to hurt you?!” He said, wanting to seem at least a bit tough

He huffed, standing completely straight. “Well, I would! But I’m not a monster. I’m a gentleman enough to not hurt you!” He said simply

She rolled her eyes at him, glaring as she crossed her eyes and leaned against a wall. 'At least you have manners. most thieves act as savages.' she signed once she uncrossed her arms.

“Yeah.” He said, his arms still crossed tightly across his chest. After a bit he let off the sudden tough guy act and went back to complaining. “I really need money…”

He gasped excitedly, his tail starting to wag. “Really? As in actually you’d do that for me??” He asked, happy

He nodded happily, beaming. “Yeah yeah yeah yeah! I can help!” Money was like, the only thing on his mind with this one, and maybe also the prospects of having a good gentlemanly rep.

“Wait…. What’s normal? I dress normal enough, no?” He asked, confused

“Ohhhh…. So something like what the prince would wear?” He asked, “only, a little less classy, but still classy?”

He followed her, staying close behind, kinda like a lost puppy. “Oh. Well, I mean, I don’t look that homeless, do I?”

She just let out an amused huff, walking quietly for a while. After around an hour they were out of the main market, coming onto a field via a thin but well defined path, only big enough to walk. She seemed to know where she was going and didn't care enough to look behind to check on him, figuring he'd follow her no problem.

“Where are we going?” He asked, “oh, also, I forgot to mention this. My name is Suri.” He said, smiling

He nodded. “Okay. Well, what’s the significance of your father being home? Is he an enforcer?” He asked calmly
