*Gasp* Need Water!
So, this was based on a dream I had, and some of it is a bit personal in terms of the conflict of the story.
The story will take place in a world where a main dimension is used for social, and economical purposes. Pocket dimensions are used for things like residence, manufacturing, and conservation etc.
The world has cybernetics in which anyone can have their desired body.
-It costs more to have specific features.
-New people are still made, but bodies do degrade, so new bodies are made specifically for the use of people.
-These people are not immortal. If you're data is wiped out, you cease to exist. Cyber attacks tend to be common.
Pocket dimensions are somewhat unpredictable, thus science and exploration teams are sent to make sure the pocket dimensions are safe for consumer use. Pocket dimensions are also used for research.
The story will be told from the point of a young protagonist who is passionate about science and exploration.
The external conflict will be the negative perception of science in the public.
The protagonist and main characters will have to struggle with a terrorist group, and scrutiny by the public.
The protagonist's internal conflict will be that he/she struggles to relate to those outside their circle.
