Personality: Cocky and Brash, Thorne's got plenty of bravado and takes just about any opportunity to flirt with the ladies.
Background:
Thorne was gifted strong genetics that made him a natural athlete and a keen fighter. It didn't take him long to pick up a sword, he wasn't even a teenager when he became one of the best among his peers, but by adulthood that got to his head. Even after being humbled by the harsh world of a warrior, that never quite went away, instead remaining his same overconfident self no matter the circumstances. It's his unnatural luck that has steered him away from an early grave, despite numerously getting himself way over his head.

Eventually he moved onto bigger weapons that challenged his body and pushed him to far exceed what was thought possible for someone of his build. That when he met his Pokemon, Sneasel. It was on complete accident, and despite the two hating each other at first, Thorne grew to accept his new little friend. Some time later, they faced an unexpected foe; a fearsome Golisopod had attacked them. He was a strong creature, able to match Thorne's strength with ease, but he would not give up. After putting forth great effort, the beast fell.

Both the Golisopod and Thorne commended eachother's power when the sun shined through the forest they found themselves in. It was then that the 3 decided to join forces and become a team. They traveled and fought many battles and will continue to for years to come.

Armor: Azumi was a basic silver armor she uses for her missions, on the guild grounds though, she uses a leather one for training.
Personality: Azumi is stubborn, proud and strict when it comes to handling her duties. She is kind person who cares about others, has deep love for her kingdom, she is honest and responsible.
Background: Azumi is the daughter of a retired great general from the kingdom of Kelan. Her family has served the royal family, even becoming the god daughter of the king, after the king wasn't able to have children. She was born wielding a sword practically, learning to use one since she could walk. She attempted to become a mage or a wizard, which made her father and mother feel better, but it didn't work out. Azumi was a born fighter and she grew up with training alongside many of the soldiers and warriors that would visit her father frequently. She befriended a Teddiursa, who later became her Pokemon partner and helped improve her combat skills.
When she was 13 and joined the Academy, she was gifted a Pokemon egg by her mother. The egg later hatched and it was a Ralts. Azumi always imagined the Ralts would turn into a Gallade and they would be swordsmen together, but it turned it the Ralts was a girl. She volved into Kirlia halfway through Azumi's Academy training and into Gardevoir close to graduation. At the young age of 17, Azumi joined her first guild. Thanks to her father's influence, she joined the highest ranking guild, Solar Flare. Under the training of their leader, one of the best warriors around during that time, Azumi polished her skills and learned what it meant to be a leader.
At the age of 20 Azumi left Solar Flare to the surprise of many and created her own guild, along with her best friend Samantha. She has been in charge of the Storm Breakers, Azumi's guild, for a year now. Bringing in rookies who use the guild as a starting point and join higher ranked ones as soon as they feel ready. Although Azumi feels disappointed her guild has become a stepping stone for rookies, she hopes to one day be able to climb the ranks with the proper team.

Name: Kor "Bright Fist" Dhor.

Demari typically have one or two syllables for their first name. The Demari refer to their first name as their 'blood name'. The name given to them by their parents. This name is only used by family and trusted friends.

Their middle name is called their 'novus name'. This name is only used by fellow tribe members. Their nickname/middle name is given to them by the age of 12. Which is the age they are considered an adult in Demari culture.

Their last name is the name of their tribe. Anyone outside their tribe that isn't a trusted friend would use this.

Demari are a tribal humans. What sets them apart from other humans, is they are bigger and more stout. Demari usually stand around 6-8 ft in height. They typically live in harsh mountainous areas. They also wear tribal tattoos to distinguish different tribes.

Physical Appearance: Kor is 7'2 ft. With a muscular physique. His skin is relatively pale. His hair is long white, shoulder length hair. He messily combs it back. His eyes are slate gray. He has scars up and down his arms and across his torso. He also had pale blue runes across his torso, arms, and legs. The runes are traditional tattoos worn by his people.

He wears no shirt. He has a gogoat fur hood with the horns still attached, but he rarely wears in over his head. He wears loose leather pants, with an ursaring half cape around his waist, and a gyarados scale belt. He wears hardened leather boots. He has a fanny pack satchel under his half cape filled with supplies. He wears cloth wrappings around his knuckles.

Personality: He's loud, outgoing, and too friendly for his own good. He's so friendly that he forgets just how big he is compared to average folk. He can be overconfident at times. He can also be carefree at times, but also a try hard sometimes too. Like any Demari, he believes in honesty. Even if it means being brutally honest with someone. He says whatever is on his mind too.

Weapons: Demari talisman. Kor's talisman is a round flat stone with a circle carved on it, with a square carved in the circle, and this character '光' carved in the center. The character you see is the chinese word 'Guāng' which means 'light'.

armor: regular clothing. minimal armor as his body is toughened from years of training and the lack of armor plating allows him to move more fluidly.

All Demari monks have a special talisman which involves a long passed down tradition. Every initiate is given a destination to reach, which is instructed by a Demari Elder. Each tribe has 3 Demari Elders. That is the second highest rank a Demari monk can reach. Initiates are given the task to carry a small boulder to the peak of any given nearby mountain top. The initiate will not know which mountain top until after given the task. once reaching the top, the boulder must not sustain any damage on the way to the up, or the initiate will need to get a new boulder. Upon reaching the top, the initiate must carve away at the boulder until only a small portion of the boulder remains.

The small remaining chunk will be carved into the iconic Demari talisman. After the talisman has been carved. The initiate must gain the approval of all three Elders. Once this is done, the initiate must rub their blood onto the talisman, then soak it in ceremonial ritual oil that the initiate will have needed to make using various plants and herbs to create the oil mixture. They must do this one week prior to carrying the boulder. The ritual oil will remain fresh for 3 days meaning the initiate has 3 days to reach the summit of the mountain, carve the talisman, gain approval of the 3 Elders, and soak the talisman. The Grand elder will bless the talisman when all of these steps have been properly met. The initiate is now a full fledged Demari Monk.

Background: Kor is a member of the Dhor tribe. The Dohr tribe is a Demari tribe. Demari tribes are usually small independent tribes that are oftentimes nomadic in nature. Each tribe is led by the chieftain, and the grand elder. How the ranks work... monk initiate, Monk, revered monk, elder(there can only be 3 per tribe), and grand elder. While on the other less magical side, there is; hunter initiate, hunter, warrior, guardian(there can only be three guardians per tribe), and chieftain.

Most Demari will become hunter initiates, and a few will become monk initiates. Most initiates will become hunters/monks. Few will become warriors/revered monks. Scarce few will become guardians/elders. The only way to become a chieftain/grand elder is to challenge the previous chieftain/grand elder in honorable combat. In order to be allowed to challenge the chieftain, one must gain the rank of guardian/elder, and the support of their tribe. Those who beat the chieftain take their place. Those who fail lose the support of the tribe, and must earn it once more if they wish to try again. You can challenge the chieftain/grand elder without earning the tribe's support, but doing so is strongly frowned upon. Failures are exiled. These people have 'the traitor's mark' burned onto both of their hands. The traitors mark is a circle with a wolf paw inside it.

The fate of those who fail to become hunters or monks is dependent on the specific tribe. Some tribes may banish those who fail as this is a show of weakness. Other tribes may give them a position such as a farmer, school teacher, merchant, or similar role.

Kor's father was an elder named Kar. Elder Kar also used light magic. Kar trained Kor to one day become an Elder as well. However in order to become a revered monk, one must leave their tribe for at least twelve full moons. Once left, they may not return until the following full moon. There is no set limit on time, so long as they arrive on a full moon. A monk who wishes to become a revered monk will be given ritual instructions they must follow during their time outside of the tribe. Every third day, the monk must drink ceremonial water that they've blessed themselves. This must be done at 3am once every 3 days. Every 9th day, the monk is given hallucinations visions in their dreams, if they properly blessed the water. Most people whom experience these visions will recall seeing either a 'red horned man' or a 'blue tailed lady'. The Demari revere these two figures and refer to them as the 'Old Ones'. Throughout Demari history, the Old Ones have guided their people in their time of need.

Kor was a stubborn, and overconfident boy who didn't particularly follow instructions too well. He tested his father's patience all the time, to no end. Which is why his father was somewhat surprised to find out his son passed the trials of becoming a monk. Kor was given his poké-egg when he was 10, like all Demari. Kor's was a meditite that he named Roh. Kor and Roh's personalities complimented one another, thus they got along greatly.

For the most part, Kor didn't take his duties as a monk particularly seriously which only created more problems with him and his father. Despite his lack in concerns, Kor still managed to do a pretty decent job. Though not the most prominent amongst his fellow monks, he was pretty close. Which only pissed his father off even more. Eventually Kor would go out and attempt the trials to become a revered monk. Kor had no clue how long he'd be gone for, but he would leave his home and journey out, and maybe return some day.

Demari isn't a reference. I just thought it sounded cool. It is kind of a vague reference to one of my favorite groups of people in dragons age.

Personality: Pious, faithful, and loyal to the Healing Church almost to a fault. She is kind and generous per teachings of the Church, but is also able to fight at a frightening impressive level of skill with one of the Church's signature weapons, the Serrated Scythe in combination with powerful ice magic and strange Blood based abilities. Generally soft-spoken, she's quite docile and meek, very slow to anger or even to fight, instead, choosing more peaceful alternative solutions in accordance with Church teachings.
Background: Dizzy has no recollection of her life before she was part of the church. To her knowledge she was either a result of ritual conception or adopted into the faith, but she was a devout member nonetheless. Originally Dizzy and her two icy Vulpix companions was from the East, overseas far away from Terreza where the Healing Church was originally founded in a land known as Fortuna and became a very powerful entity among its people having major political power in the government and major influence over the people . Missionaries from the Healing Church eventually made their way across the sea to Terreza more specifically Kelan through merchant trade ships, and within a few months were able to establish a foothold in Kelan impressing people with displays of miraculous Healing abilities, acts of generosity, and selfless acts of community service.

Several years later the Healing Church had firmly been established in Kelan with various churches across its kingdom. A few monasteries dedicated to the Church had also sprang up in isolated mountainous regions and the original Church established in Kelan's capital, Winchester had grown large enough that the construction / conversion of the church into a cathedral began. Dizzy along with her current mentor, the Exalted Priestess of the Healing Church named Aeona, a young woman just a few years older than Dizzy with bright and pure snow-white hair like Dizzy's own hair, pale blue eyes, and pointed ears (similar to an Elf but Aeona was not en Elf). Dizzy had always idolized Aeona since she was little and wanted to be under her servitude as soon as she had met her at a young age. When Dizzy left from the Healing Church monastery and accepted Priesthood, she had specifically requested to be under the service of Aeona, who rarely took any disciples and much to Dizzy's surprise she was granted her request and found out that she was Aeona's only disciple and would remain as her only disciple for the years to come. Dizzy learned more than she could have possibly imagined from Aeona. Her Mistress was an enigma to her, her knowledge was so vast and in depth that it seemed like she could recite the entirety of the Healing Book by heart, and expound on any passage with insight and wisdom beyond any other Exalted Priest or Priestess, and yet she was decades and decades younger then they were.

Dizzy has developed almost a zealous-like loyalty towards Aeona being her student as well as personal guard when she had to make appearances. When Dizzy received the news that she was to go overseas with Aeona to Terreza, Dizzy was ecstatic for the prospect of traveling and expanding her faith. So when she arrived in Kelan she was keen on letting the people know about the arrival of an Exalted Priestess, and what that meant for the followers of the Church. Dizzy also developed a curiosity for the Guilds of Kelan and wondered what they were like as it seemed Guilds in Kelan were much more prevalent than Fortuna, and the people's fascinations with them.

Personality: Scathing and closed off, Faylen shares a bond with very few. She's not as hotheaded as she may appear, but all the more unforgiving.
Background:
As a small girl, Faylen had studied mage craft very intently in hopes that one day she could be an adventurer. It was uncommon for people of their small kingdom to leave. Everything anyone needed was right there within the walls, including accomplished Mages who sought no need for adventure into the lands outside. This, accompanied by the fact that Faylen was a little girl among the other aspiring mages made her a rather unbecoming sort.

Her aptitude was undoubtedly remarkable, but she was not easily accepted despite her strength. Many of the much older elves found it insulting that a child was in their class, and a girl at that. They found her fragile and unfit to be a mage, and did everything they could to discourage her from pursuing her pipe dream. This only made Faylen more focused however, and resentful. Fire became her muse, and she often practiced the destructive side of its power.

As she grew up, her favorite pass time was destroying targets with vicious snares of fire. The mutual resentment she and the rest of her peers had for each other slowly faded, and the sense of fear began to set in for the other students. They began to see her as a serious threat to their safety, to the point that she was being avoided more and more as the years went on. She was bothered none by this, in fact she preferred it. A young mage feared by those around her gave her a sense of power.

Near the end of her training in school, her feeling of need to attend classes became tedious and unnecessary. By the time of graduation, Faylen had already decided it was best for her to equip herself with knowledge of combat. The way of the sword also lead her to learn of pokemon, something she had always known about but never considered them an asset to her goal of exploration. In fact, it was the teacher she had chosen who had a pokemon of his own. A stern and sharp-minded Staraptor. That bird inspired her during her sword training, and desired to own one herself.

Once her training was complete and she was ready to venture out into the wilderness, she was gifted her own blade and a newborn Starly. They were much to be desired she thought, but knew in time he would become a powerful bird. Soon, a Talonflame joined her side and fought along side her for decades. Unfortunately, and elf's longevity far exceeds that of pokemon. Faylen was initially saddened by the loss of her two Pokemon, but as luck would have it, the offspring of the two shared the same spark as their parents, and are the two who travel with her now.

In recent times, Faylen found a group of strong warriors who took a quick liking to the elf, the Red Hammer Guild. Now donning a guild outfit of tough red leather and reinforced pauldrons, She has become the adventurer she had always seen herself as.

A kind, empathetic and hardworking person who cares deeply about her friends and family, Veronica often lends an ear to the people around her. She is generally level-headed and easygoing, and is, always willing to help people out in hard times. Because of her kind nature, she has a hard time saying "no" to people sometimes. She is also very protective of her little sister.

Background:
Veronica's parents were adventures before they had her and her little sister,Heather, they were part of a guild. But when her mother got pregnant they decided maybe it would be for the best if they settled down and stopped their adventuring. They lived a pretty normal life but when Veronica was 13 her parents decided to take this quest that was paying a lot of money. Seeing as Veronica was old enough to watch her little sister they thought it would be ok to take the quest unfortnaly though they never came home. They died but appearntly saved alot of lives. It was very devastating and on top of everything it would now be up To Veronica to keep up the house, make money and take care of her little sister all by herself. She really didn't have anyone to turn to. So she worked many jobs and raised her sister. It was hard but she managed. She currently works two jobs now and her and her sister are doing fine but Veronica really craves to do what her parents did but she to afraid of losing her sister, and what if something was to happen to her and Heather ended up all alone? She was only 10. For now she's going to keep things as they are....unless something comes up that changes her mind.

Heather's personality is beyond words. She has a very crazy and hyper personality, making her very energetic. Though she has her heart in the right place, she's quite oblivious about matters that involve the bigger picture of things and lacks knowledge in some areas. Heather constantly has a deep sense of right or wrong and will go to extremes to correct situations if they are involving those she is close to. She has a habit of picking up stray pokemon, which ends up starting arguments with her sister. Like her sister she is also very kind, and will do whatever she can do to help people. She will also go to the full extremes if needed. She will sacrifices when it comes to those dear to her. In spite of her naive nature, she is very peculiar about not hurting anyone around her.
