Please use the template below when creating the character. PM the completed sheet to me first before posting it here. Thank you in advance!

Name:

Age: [18+, teens aren’t experienced enough to research ancient cultures, wouldn’t you agree?]

Gender:

Sexuality: [Not required unless interested in potential romance subplots.]

Appearance: [Either an image or a written description. No real people.]

Personality: [This is technically optional, as people may over time play their character different than they had originally written down, but a short description would be preferable to have some understanding of the character’s behavior and motives.]

Bio: [This is required, but doesn’t need to be extraordinary. Who they are, how they got their Pokémon, their scientific background, and why they got an invitation to study the ruins are essential. However, you can go as detailed as you see fit.]

Starting Team: [Two Pokémon maximum. At most 1 second stage evolution. No legendaries. Shinies are extremely rare and I will need a better bio about them than ‘received from parents’ or similar in order to consider them.]

Miscellaneous: [Anything extra you would like to add or mention that does not fit in the above sections.]

Name: Skye Esther Finnegan

Age: 25

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Pansexual

Appearance:
47414970c1e3031de8c7e4cbe9c0a935.png

Personality: Skye is earnest and hard-working. She values facts and science above all else, and will stop at nothing to find the truth. Myths and folklore are intriguing to her, and while she may lose herself in imagining what it would be like to experience the tales firsthand, she always finds herself grounded to reality after these flights of fantasy. If anything, hearing about folklore imbues her with more of a desire to prove it right than prove it wrong, though outside viewers might not feel the same.

Bio: Born in Eterna City, but raised in Celestic Town, Skye grew up knowing nothing of her parents. Her father apparently skipped town when her mother told him she was pregnant, and her mother died shortly after childbirth, leaving young Skye to be raised by her maternal grandparents. Her grandparents were in charge of taking care of the town's shrine, and would often tell travelers the folklore and legends of the region, surrounding the shrine and the cave at the edge of town. As a child, Skye found living in a town that was populated predominantly by older folks was generally boring, and while the folklore they told her was interesting, she found the most fun exploring the mountainous areas surrounding the town, poking her nose into the caves and caverns that dotted the side of Mt. Coronet. It often got her in trouble, as she disturbed the local Pokemon and would often stay out past sunset, causing her grandparents to worry.

When it came time for Skye to enroll in school, she was sent off to a boarding school in Jubilife City, and while initially upset about leaving behind what little family she had, the excitement of a new location and the busy schedule that came with being a full time student kept her from truly feeling homesick. The school she was sent to provided her with a starter Pokemon as part of an introductory course in Pokemon handling and battle tactics. This was how she met Grotle, a Turtwig back then, and began working alongside her new partner. The two initially didn't get along - Skye's eventual wanderlust got the better of her more times than she'd like to admit, while Turtwig stubbornly attempted to keep Skye from wandering off. Their relationship met a turning point when Turtwig saved Skye from an angry flock of Spearow one evening, prompting the small turtle Pokemon to evolve into the Grotle he is today.

Skye remained in that school throughout her childhood, coming home to see her grandparents every few months. When it came time to graduate, Skye already had a college in mind. She'd been accepted by a university in Eterna City, not too far from her aging grandparents in Celestic Town, on a full ride scholarship for Pokemon history. Her interest, naturally, lies in the myths and legends of the past surrounding Pokemon, the tales and folklore she spent her early childhood hearing, and the cave markings near Celestic Town. She obtained a Bachelor's degree at twenty-two, and as a graduation gift, Skye's grandparents gave her a Pokemon, a young Eevee adopted from the nearby daycare in Solaceon Town.

The next portion of Skye's life began her introduction to the professional world of Pokemon research - she found work as a lab assistant to Professor Juniper in the distant Unova region, using the Professor's data and research on the origin of Pokemon in general to determine the validity of origin myths surrounding certain species of Pokemon. Three years later, she'd publish a book on her findings, the catchy title and easy-to-understand explanations for the science behind her work flinging her and her research into the limelight. While not nearly as popular as conventional celebrities, her name and book was passed around the scientific community and general populace alike. It left everyone wondering if there were more truths to be had about the myths surrounding other Pokemon, and specifically caught the attention of a certain kingdom. It wasn't long before Skye found an invitation in her mailbox one morning, inviting her to explore the Kingdom of Shetmerna, and a newly discovered area within it. The invitation was almost too good to be true, and the young researcher jumped on the opportunity immediately.

Starting Team:

Pangaea (Grotle) | Pangaea was given to Skye in her first year of school, in the academy in Jubilife City, and named once Skye had researched what his final evolution was. Stubborn in nature, Pangaea serves as a grounded source of comfort and direction when flights of fantasy and worries overtake Skye. He may seem like a grumpy Pokemon, and puts up with very little messing around, but that's only because he knows how distracted and fixated Skye can get on the wrong topics. In the end, he just cares deeply for his trainer, and wants to keep her safe, even if it is from her own actions.

Cirrus (Eevee) | Cirrus was a graduation gift for graduating from college, given to Skye from her grandparents. Cirrus himself had a rough past, rescued from a mill by local law enforcement and given to Solaceon's Pokemon Daycare, but the daycare itself was rather full with occupants. He was going to be sent off to a shelter, when Skye's grandparents took him in to give as a gift. Cirrus was initially wary of Skye, not liking having been passed around between multiple humans, but the young Pokemon quickly warmed up to her spontaneous and excitable nature, easily matching hers with his own. The two make for quite the handful for Pangaea to wrangle.

Name: Anai'is Baniti Mousa
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Homosexual
Appearance:
Anai'is.jpg

Personality:
Meticulous, elegant, and financially privileged. He prefers efficiency and quality versus quantity and relaxation. Of course, this also means that he is one of the people willing to sacrifice his weekends by working through them. Work is quite nearly everything to him and he prides himself on doing his job well. Since he is someone that believes in efficiency so much, he's not afraid to toss money around to solve a situation. Rather than spend hours arguing or negotiating on contracts, he'd prefer just raising the price or lowering the cost to get his work done. Many would consider him a heartless prick, but those that know him best adamantly believe he has a kind heart laying dormant inside him somewhere.

Bio:
Anai'is comes from a small family in Wyndon Galar, though one that isn't extraordinarily close but is thankfully very wealthy. After his father died when he was only a child, Anai'is was raised solely by his mother for several years. It wasn't easy for him, given how often his mother had to leave him behind for work, but it also wasn't terribly awful. Fortunately, to him at least, he didn't stay lonely. Anai'is' mother remarried when he was a teenager to a man that already had one son. His new father was an absolute blessing to his life and, for the first time, Anai'is was able to fully feel a parent's love on him for more than just a brief parting hug. Unfortunately, his brother was something else entirely.

Anai'is fully expected that the two of them would become close but there seemed to be something keeping them apart. Every conversation turned into an argument or a fight that Anai'is had no desire to be in. He wanted to shower his brother in gifts and affection like he did with all his friends but every offering was scorned. It never occurred to him that showering someone in material items was practically buying their affection. Regardless, he still strives to bridge that gap between them and will continue to make an attempt at every turn.

Outside of vying for his family's love, Anai'is works as an Archaeologist. It started when he was a young child following his mother through her busy life as a curator and owner of a museum. He was utterly fascinated by history and the way someone could physically hold it in their hands. Given that his family comes from old money and that the museum has been in their family for several years, Anai'is fully expects to take over once his mother retires. However, he wants to get a few adventures under his belt before he does this.

Which is precisely what brought his attention to the ruins. The invitation was made no doubt due to his high standing in the archaeological society as well as his exceptional education. His mother not only strived for the best but also paid for it, and Anai'is ensured that he didn't waste any ounce of it. They needed someone young and competent enough to survive an adventure out in the unknown and Anai'is believed himself to be the perfect fit.

Starting Team:
- Arcanine | Anai'is first Pokemon was and still always has been Arcanine. Arcanine was originally acquired as an accessory when it was a Growlithe, and was acquired as something to prove status while he was young. It wasn't uncommon for people of wealth to acquire a Pokemon and treat them more as a beloved jewelry item rather than a companion. However, this Pokemon that started off as a statement piece became so much more than just that. Affectionately named Mishaal, Anai'ias raised the Growlithe into a well trained Arcanine. Albeit just a bit of a spoiled one given that he'd acquire anything the spoiled thing could ever want.

- Onix | As his second Pokemon, Anai'is acquired an Onix. He specifically sought out the Onix after experiencing a tunnel cave while exploring a dig site with his team. They were able to get out unscathed and right quickly but he realized it was better to be safer than not.

Miscellaneous:
- Anai'is' brother is Hugo Mousa, a geologist also joining the adventuring party.

Name: Hugo “Stonelick McGee” Mousa

Age: 27

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Questionable

Appearance: Dark wavy hair, thick brows, and a tired expression.

LJrNyAtCM4I_hzT9JTIEpSOH6CTuuXXtGraKkZMZgCLzLucuJmX4ti28Ky698W_F4YGQCQ1x4jVfHtUgYpnm-lFVDDFt9WOzbGNqs8k6JlECc9n0SSvN17k14SvIK-LV9y0PxjJr

Personality: Hugo is a strange, strange fellow. He’s polite and laid-back, but he’s definitely spent too much time alone in nature and it shows.

Of course, it could have something to do with being mercilessly bullied in college for licking a rock, with said incident exploding into rumors that Hugo eats rock regularly and his teeth are jacked up and now he wears a mask to hide his teeth (not because he was sick of people asking him to smile, or the possibility that he sneezes a lot from dust and dirt and just wants to keep his rock samples clean).

But, more likely than not, he’s just weird. Like, he never smiles, what’s up with that? And why is he so obsessed with rocks? Why is he so suspicious of gifts? Is that a mud bath? Is that a five gallon water dispenser for one single Lotad?

Bio:

Hugo grew up in Wyndon in a small loving home with his parents. Unfortunately, his mom passed away from a long illness when he was a teenager, and he was heartbroken (as children tend to be when a parent passes away, expected or otherwise). His dad, a great man, really, remarried too quickly for Hugo’s liking, to a wealthy woman with a son close to Hugo’s own age. He knew that taking care of his mom in her last few years had been expensive, but really? Gold-digging? Hugo couldn’t help but to resent how easily his dad showered love on his new wife and step-son, and felt replaced.

His new step-brother Anai’is was the worst. The spoiled brat kept trying to buy Hugo’s friendship with gifts, and even just straight cash at one point. It was awful, and it took everything to not deck Anai’is in the face over Christmas dinner. Didn’t he get it? Their parents weren’t actually in love, you can’t just take two halves of two different pairs of broken glasses, glue them together, and call it a working prescription. He just wanted his mom back, and nobody in that new house ever seemed to give him space to grieve.

Leaving home to study geology - the study of rocks and earth - and the types of environments that ground- and rock-type Pokemon live in was one of the best things Hugo chose for himself. He truly enjoyed studying nature, and the time spent outside doing fieldwork gave him plenty of space to quietly process his turbulent teenage emotions. His grades improved, carrying him to first in his (admittedly tiny) class. His bitterness mellowed out and while he never was the type of man to be as openly affectionate as his dad, he did end up being able to sit down at the dinner table and not scowl at everyone (he was always too busy making sure Squiggles had enough water on her leaf).

That all tanked during the Stonelick McGee incident, but whatever. He graduated. It counted.

Hugo received an invitation to research and study the rock formations and soil makeup around some ancient ruins in the arid region of Millenium Vale, as part of a graduate-level research project. Well, technically, Hugo’s professor received the invitation, but as Professor Palmer was still having his knee reconstructed after a terrible accident involving a Wobbuffet and a train to Motostoke City, Hugo was selected to go in his place. For once, the Stonelick rumors worked in his favor. As Professor Palmer said, “He was first in the class before he licked a rock, and even if he didn’t, you still have to respect the dedication of a man who licks rocks.” Palmer was also high as a Drifloon on painkillers when he said that, but whatever. It counted.

Eat your heart out, Anai'is. Now who's the more accomplished step-son?

Starting Team:
  • Squiggles (Lotad): There is something wrong with this Lotad, and Hugo doesn’t know what. Her leaf is misshapen and leaks water, and she veers to the left when trying to walk in a straight line. Nonetheless, she is a valuable assistant, dutifully carrying samples while walking in spirals. She is also the descendent of his mom’s Ludicolo, which might explain a lot, actually - such as her love for disco music. Hugo wants to get Squiggles one of those water-holding backpacks, but can’t find one small enough.
  • Brisket (Rolycoly): Hugh accidentally dug this Pokemon out while on a student expedition to the Galar Mines. He tried to make a joke about using Rolycoly for a barbeque, mixed up his words and botched his delivery, and now the wee little rock responds to Brisket. Hugo would also describe Brisket as a dutiful lab assistant, except the most useful thing this sentient lump of charred biomatter has ever done was - oh, oh no, Brisket, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it, I’m have a bad day and it’s not your fault. You’re a very important doorstop and without you, I wouldn’t be able to carry things in BOTH arms and still walk through the door.
Miscellaneous:
  • Has a pretentious prick of a step-brother, Anal. Er, Anai’is.
  • Prefers to work away from people so that he doesn’t have to hear the “Do you lick rocks” joke over and over.
  • Doesn’t show his teeth when he smiles. There’s nothing wrong with them, he swears.

Name: Asif Hamza al-Shehata11553f659af5adde6696713c4bafb199.png
Age: 26 years old
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual

Personality: Asif loves the spotlight, and all the world’s a stage. While he’s no actor, he loves putting on a show for friends and strangers alike. Utterly social, Asif enjoys life to the fullest, and there are few greater joys than sharing the experience with a good group of like-minded people. As such, it appears that Asif is relatively easygoing with everyone, but he does have some very strong personal values and morals regarding his true family and culture. These will – in the end – always take priority over playing ally to the whole world.

Name: Jarid Caymen

Age: 32 Years.

Gender: Male.

Sexuality: Hetro

Appearance: Portrait / Geared Up

Personality: If Jarid is known to be anything, antisocial is on the top of the list. Right by Standoffish, Ornery, and, well, just downright irritated. Those who know him personally, though that roster is very small, know this is just his way to keep people from growing too attached to him. Emotional baggage is fun!

Bio: Jarid Caymen is native to the Orre region, and had originally been a member of the organisation Cipher as one of their Lead Engineer for many years. Prior to their fall, there was an upheaval after a disagreement to Cipher's goal and methods. The upheaval left Jarid wounded and abandoned. He would later be hospitalized for his injuries, where his left arm would unfortunately be amputated due to horrendous damage, and later moved to a prison cell for his affiliations. He was considered a low-risk inmate for his cooperation ad seeming lack of desire to escape. That later reason was put to the test during multiple incidents involving escape attempts from other inmates, and the break-in of an aggressive Durant that seemed to take particular exception to Correction Officers trying to remove it from Jarid's cell.

When asked about the temperamental Durant, Jarid explained to the Officer it was the only Pokemon that was as 'fed up with everything like him'. When he had been abandoned by Cipher he had met the lone Pokemon foraging for its survival. The initial introduction went about as well as one would expect from two obstinate jackasses contending for space in a cave. After awhile, they seemed to tolerate each other. Then it turned to a questionable partnership.

After a year of incarceration, he had been put to task aiding in the maintenance of said prison to make it harder for these, as he put them, 'annoying wastes of his time' to occur. With the increase to security, he began making a name for himself in the outside world again, whether he wanted it to happen or not. Eventually, an invitation would reach him with an ultimatum. Aid in an upcoming expedition and as payment, return to life outside bars, and more than enough funding to open a shop wherever he deemed.

Starting Team:
Dremel (Durant):
Standing at a daunting 1 foot and weighing in at 73 pounds of pure unadulterated rage, this Durant appears to be here of its own volition. No, seriously, Jarid has made many attempts to capture it properly. It seems to always be able to catch the ball before impact with its mandibles and shatter them. There's been far too many attempts. There was that one time with the long distance experiment that just made him mad enough to bite off the laser head and smack the scientist until he cried. The therapy was uninsured. Dremel only seems to respond to Jarid's commands, end even then its a tenuous level of actually listening.

Dremel has been shown to exhibit more than a few concerning...Traits. There of course is its aggressive attitude, but the fact it uses the environment around him to his opponent's dismay. Multiple times being seen throwing items of varying size, leading to a terrifying show of strength many are, frankly, too afraid to test the limits of...

Miscellaneous: Theme

Jarid's left arm is a prosthetic replacement retrofitted to aid in mechanical endeavors. From wrench sizing, riveting, and everything in-between. Whether or not he has tested this contraption prior to this expedition is unknown.

As a reminder for most young people, it is considered impolite to ask questions as to why someone is missing an arm. It is ALSO considered impolite to shove someone's head into a wall when someone asks such questions, but Jarid don't give a fuck about politeness.

Name: Macie Blaise

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Bisexual

aa9a6aac688dd586a3ef6697120d7398.jpg

Personality: Macie is probably not what you’d expect from a chronic sloucher with a resting bitch face who actively chooses to share a colour scheme with Shadow the Hedgehog.

Talkative and compassionate but undeniably coltish and wishy-washy; Macie desperately needs people to need her and can’t seem to shake her anxious disposition as a result. Even in one on one situations she exhibits nervous ticks and it only gets worse in dealing with larger groups. She knows this, however, and tries to instead remain in people’s good graces by embodying diligence, generosity and agreeability. She holds a tight reign on her temper, has a burning itch to keep herself busy and help out almost anyone wherever possible. While these are mostly good traits Macie takes them overboard, showing brash impulsivity for the sake of getting at least something done when under pressure and a weak backbone, automatically compromising everything about herself to fit other people’s own personalities and interests.

Bio: Macie was born in Sinnoh despite both her parents being from Kalos, this is because both of her parents were essentially paid ruin maniacs who travelled all over the globe making small discoveries in the archeological field. Macie’s birth didn’t slow their research or travels down and, left without a choice, her parents quickly became her only friends in the whole world. Her childhood was fine, but Macie did find herself competing with her parent's work for attention and affection. Eventually she figured out forcing herself to share their interests was the quickest way to their hearts, and while it did work, it wasn’t easy; she needed to remain on top of her game with new talking points and updated knowledge so she could stay interesting and maybe even useful to them.

When Macie was in her early teens her parents finally settled down in Unova, becoming interested in the Relic Passage and allowing her to attend school properly. While her inexperience with strangers made her struggle in school at first, she eventually found her feet the only way she knew how—making herself interesting and useful to people around her by mirroring them and their fulfilling their expectations.

Taking on variety of interests and responsibilities while widening her social circle, Macie found it harder to keep up with her parents’ studies but she didn’t want to fall back into second place with them again. As a result, when she made it out of college at eighteen she formally asked to work under her parents in researching the mysteries of the Relic Passage. They accepted and, just like that, her love for worlds lost beneath the sands was reignited; she found herself spending so much time all over the worn walls in the winding corridors that she’d even camp down there sometimes.

One day, leaving her tent, Macie ran into an aggressive Pokémon, a Drapion that was extremely powerful compared to the other wild Pokémon in the area. The Drapion chased after Macie when she tried to run from it, using its ability to dig through the sand to cut her off again and again. Things were looking bad but only got worse when she tripped over a rock as Drapion burst from the sand in front of her once again.

But in a sick twist of fate, among the rest of its contents, a dusk ball from her bag was sent flying through the air managed to hit Drapion square on the face. The Drapion was forced inside and—against all odds—successfully captured.

A squad of police officers helped a still stunned Macie out of the ruins a little later, informing her that the Drapion had been wreaking so much havoc that they’d needed to seal the ruins up and must’ve missed her when they were clearing it out. When she told them she’d caught the Drapion they assumed she was a really powerful trainer and, not wanting to disappoint anyone, she went along with it—keeping up the lie whenever questioned and gaining a little bit of notoriety from the incident.

It is this story that she believes caused her parents to pass an invitation to the Millennium Vale down to her, which she accepted.

Starting Team:
  • Blindosaurus (Deino): Blindosaurus was Macie’s first Pokémon. When she was fifteen she received the Deino as a baby from a rather well-off friend who was partial to ghost-types and was disappointed when Deino turned out not to be one. Macie on the other hand was thrilled to have Blindosaurus and the two became fast friends. At first, the ever-waddling Blindosaurus seemed to be more cautious of her surroundings than the average Deino, prodding things extensively with her head before biting them. Though closer observation suggested her prodding was purely a warning before biting rather than a method of discrimination between what should and shouldn’t be bitten (Blindosaurus considers nothing to be above being bitten). Macie lets Blindosaurus' hair get shaggier than most Deino's because Blindosaurus doesn't respond well to being pampered.
  • Drapion: Drapion has not changed since he was caught despite Macie’s best efforts to train him for two entire years, he is still dangerously aggressive towards anything that moves. He does not listen to commands or respond to anything other than his dusk ball being held up in front of him, an action that he's recognised will end his rampages regardless of what he does to stop it. The two have a frosty relationship, Drapion both hates and fears her while Macie mostly keeps him around because his strength backs up her lie about being a powerful trainer, but a part of her feels pretty bad for using him like that and wants to form a genuine bond with him in return. While she tries not to use Drapion in front of people when she has a choice, she’s been goaded into it many times and gotten pretty decent at reading his movements and predicting what move he’s going to use moments before he does it so she can appear like she’s commanding him as a result.
Miscellaneous:
  • Nervous ticks include:
    • Constantly shifting the way her arms are positioned.
    • Shaking her leg while sitting or balancing herself on one leg when standing.
    • Making way too much eye-contact all of a sudden.
  • Dyed her normally brown hair black, adopting a preference for dark clothing from the friend who gave her Blindosaurus. However Macie doubled down on the aesthetic on her own accord with the splotches of red dye, heavy eye makeup and permanent change in eye-colour after a certain incident with a Chandelure she refuses to speak about rendered her debilitatingly afraid of them. She hopes they believe she's a dark type Pokémon and stay away from her.
  • She is the dreaded combination of both a quick, heavy sleeper and loud snorer.

Name: Dr.Lilith Eucalyptus

Age: 25

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Homosexual

Appearance:
images - 2021-02-28T130151.084.jpeg

Personality: [This is technically optional, as people may over time play their character different than they had originally written down, but a short description would be preferable to have some understanding of the character’s behavior and motives.]

Bio: Well you guys already know, she was brought up in Kalos by a gym trainer father and a linguist mother. They both wanted her to follow in their footsteps and so she was home schooled, on some days she would be taught the ins and outs of battling which is how she first met Jubilee her kirlia. On the other days she learned both modern and ancient dialects. In her off days she found an interest in designing and creating clothes. During her teenage years she was forced to go gungho on all that her father took her to literal gyms so she and her mons could train. When she was 18 her mother forcibly enrolled her into Ancient Linguistics Major and Modern Languages Minor. During that time Lilith made clothes in her spare time. She was then forced again by her mother to get her doctorate, which during that was when she first attempted to show off her clothes but the day before all her work was destroyed and so she has been incredibly angry for the last few years of gaining her PHD and as soon as she was finished her mother got her an invitation to this dig

Starting Team:
Jubilee (Kirlia): She first met Jubilee when she was taken out with her father to learn how to catch an actual Pokemon. She and her have been as thick as thieves ever since. She evolved into Kirlia when she tried to protect Lilith from a Trainers Machoke

Ruby (Sableye):She managed to get Ruby when she managed to take a break from her parents during a weekend where she got to draw with just Jubilee around. She was sitting in Reflection Cave drawing that's when Ruby attempted to attack them. Jubilee managed to protect them using Disarming Voice and Lilith caught her due to that

Name: Allister Hawthorn

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Bisexual

Appearance: Refer to face claim, although his hair is black rather than greying.
1632655091220.png

Personality: Allister carries with him a front of jovialness and offhanded gallantry that, at least until you get to know him, hides his less savoury traits. Tenacious to a fault, self-assured and often in over his head, Allister has managed to get his far in life on quick wit and gut feelings, much to the chagrin of his siblings and colleagues. He’s no egghead by any means but he learns quickly and has a bit of a ‘Jack of all trades’ thing going on, rarely the expert on any given subject but with a basic understanding of a wide range of topics.

He’s a glutton for adventure and treasure, but with the latter it’s more about the hunt than the precious item in question. Hence why he’s so good at his job, he gets paid to indulge in his passion and all parties involved benefit.

His morals probably lay around the true neutral mark.

Bio: Born in the Galar region to Will and Alice Hawthorn, Alister had to compete with his three other siblings for most of his life. He was one of two boys and the third youngest of the children, leaving him pretty middle of the pack. To his older siblings he was a menace, running rings around them and just being a generally annoying little brother but to his younger sister he was, with occasional lapses, a genuinely kind and caring role model for her to look up to.

Will Hawthorn was, and is, a postman while Alice has had a variety of jobs ranging from pharmacist to Wooloo keeper. Neither of these life styles really appealed to Allister so he attempted to get himself embedded in academia, studying Paleontology at Hammerlocke university for 2 years before dropping out and taking up an apprenticeship offered to him by Devon Corp in the Hoenn region. Here he was introduced to their ‘Asset control and acquisition’ team and he fell into the role immediately. Although the pay was pretty measly at first it soon increased as he progressed from apprentice to fully fledged team member, proving himself to be one of the most consistently performing members of the team. Not every job he was sent on had an interesting asset for him to bring home but if nothing else he enjoyed both the travelling aspect of it and the challenge of a particularly low intel acquisition.

Speaking of a lack of intel, the reason Allister is in the Millennium Vale at all is that the aptly named Stone family, geological fanatics and heads of Devon Corp, have sent him there on a wild goose chase. Mega stones give off a very specific energy signature, a signature that has been picked up within the Vale by Devon. President Stone has reason to believe a meteor containing these rare minerals fell to Earth there many years ago and has remained hidden ever since, its secrets lost along with it.

But if the Ancient residents of the Vale had found such a stone it stands to reason that such an object would be of importance to them. Its not every day something like that falls from the sky. No better place to start looking for it than the ruins of the region.

As for his Pokémon, Yvenyal was supplied to him by Devon at the start of his apprenticeship, company policy. Northstar, Allister’s Duraludon, was encountered in a more interesting manner. The shiny Pokémon was traded to him in exchange for him withholding information from the Devon higher ups about a town built upon a deposit of rare minerals. Secretly Allister had already been having doubts about letting Devon raid the place so the offer was more than enough to buy his silence.

Starting Team:

Yvenyal (Ven-yall) the Aurorus- Frigid air isn’t the only thing this saurian Pokémon radiates, she tends to have a calming effect on those around her. Very motherly in nature, she’s practically adopted the younger member of Allister’s team.

Northstar the Duraludon (Shiny)- Despite her metal shell, or perhaps because of it, Northstar is an easy-going soul and not phased by much. She doesn’t remember much of her life before being handed to Allister and although thoughts of her village crop up now and again she enjoys life as the Devon agent’s Pokémon.

Miscellaneous: Allergic to nuts.
