- Pokemon are limited to be Lv 20 maximum, .
- You cannot be a 3rd stage Pokemon, but a 2nd stage is fine as long as it evolves prior or at Lv 20. Base Pokemon are fine.
- All abilities that your species can have are active.

Mechanics (How things from the games work)

-Mega Evolution: Requires the user to hold a compatible Mega Stone. User can Mega evolve at any time, with a limit of three times in a In-game day
-Z-Moves: Requires user to hold a compatible Z-Crystal. User can use their Z-move at any time, with a limit of three time in a In-Game day (no dance required)
-Gigantamaxing: Requires user to hold a Wishing Star. User can only Gigantamax in power spots, once a In-game day.
-Leveling up: Doing actions that require effort give the player EXP. The Player needs EXP matching it's level to go to the next level. Alternatively, the player can eat EXP candies, Rare Candies or have a Rare Meal or Drink to gain EXP. Battle EXP is calculated by giving the winners of a fight EXP equivalent to half of the oponents level (Example: I beat a level 50 Pokemon, I will gain 25EXP).
-Level Evolution: Require the player to reach a certain level to evolve.
-Stone or Item evolution: Require the player to have the necessary stone or Item to evolve.
-Trade Evolution: Require the player to be affected by a large change (change in heart, home, or other large change)
-Level w/Item and Trade w/item evolution: Same as previous entries, just holding their respective Items
-Happiness Evolution: Once you consider you have achieved peak happiness, you'll be allowed to evolve.
-Turns: Every turn takes about 30secs
-Time: The time in the RP moves about 1 minute per post unless otherwise stated by the poster.

-Oval Charm: Causes eggs to hatch faster than usual.
-Shiny Charm: Causes holder to appear shiny.
-Amulet Coin: Gives good luck, not money.
-EXP Share: Gives extra EXP to nearby allies.
-Metronome: Great for music... not much else.
-The Policies: can be used for legal arguments. Less useful in battles.
-TMs, TRs and HMs: Must be given to Gallade for him to teach you the move.
-Choice Items: Give you their boost as long as you use a single move. You lose the boost when you switch moves. Can be regained by using the same move three times.
-Terrain Extender: Spray it on the terrain for increased duration.
-Destiny Knot: Often given to someone you like. No use in battle.

Notable Pokemon (NPCs)

Odie and Lucas are the shopkeepers in town. Odie is Adamant, and it's hard to have a discussion with him. He's not really your guy if you want to discuss a discount, but he will help if you need help, and he'll make sure of that. Lucas is a hasty buyer. if he thinks there is value, oh he is buying it! They are both very friendly with strangers and are quick to help someone in need.

-Odie likes Timid and Hardy Pokemon. He dislikes Lonely and Naughty Pokemon.
-Lucas likes Hasty and Jolly Pokemon. He dislikes Relaxed and Quiet Pokemon.

This unlikely couple run the restaurant in town, the "Star Dust". Caroline (Steenee) is a more serious one, specially when it comes to the quality of her food. She is also serious about her business and her relationship. Marley (Centiscorch) Finds joy in cooking, often trying to meet the standards of Caroline. He can even teach a few of his tricks to you. You can often get top quality, homemade style food that will leave you wanting more. Should they need, you could even try getting employed at Star Dust!

Gerald is the banker of Star Shard. If you need money kept safe or given to someone, he's your guy. He's very careful, which is one of the reasons of how he managed to create such a successful business (his own words). Right after the Kecleons began handing out loans, Gerald started doing the same except bigger. The only problem is that you'll have to pay him back with a 25% interest...

-Gerald likes Gentle and Calm Pokemon. He dislikes Lax and Naive Pokemon.

These two girls have been working on the farm together for just a little while, although they knew each other long before that. Maria (Miltank) is a hardy girl, that does whatever she can to make sure the farm keeps going. Holly (Whimisicott) never planned to end up in the farm, but she enjoys it nonetheless. She is naughty, and will often prank townspeople on her off time. If you wish, why not offer them a hand at the farm?

-Maria likes Naughty and Quirky Pokemon. She dislikes Bold and Impish Pokemon.
-Holly likes Docile and Quirky Pokemon. She dislikes Serious and Bashful Pokemon.

Gary (male) and Grace (female) run the only hotel in town, the "Comet Shard". Gary is bold, often attempting things others have never done... in the field of fashion. Grace is a gentle soul, and likes to help people relax, often by hearing their troubles and offering advice. If you don't have a place to stay, you can go to the hotel and pay much less than a house. You could also try to find a job there.

-Gary likes Careful and Sassy Pokemon. He dislikes Adamant and Brave Pokemon.
-Grace likes Naive and Naughty Pokemon. She dislikes Impish and Jolly Pokemon.

Nicholas is a brave soldier, and one of the few in town. He trains most Pokemon that come to him seeking to become stronger, and he respects their attempts at defeating opponents who are stronger than them. Talk to him if you wish to learn TM,TR or Tutor moves, or if you want to earn EXP by training.

Andy is the leader of the Red Blazes Adventure team. He's quirky, and often is the one that organizes the expeditions of the team to places he deems fun.

-Andy Likes Adamant and Brave Pokemon. He Dislikes Calm and Gentle Pokemon.

Olivia is a blastoise that trained under Nicholas for some time. After the attacks of the Rebel Raiders, she has taken upon herself to help those afflicted by them and to stop the evil team. She's quiet, observant and a great tactician.

-Olivia likes Brave and Serious Pokemon. She dislikes Timid and Hasty Pokemon.

Isabella (Audino) and Lauren (Blissey) work together in the Star Shard Emergency Service with Gabe (Togetic). Isabella is very focused on her work and is careful on her patients. Lauren is an amazing doctor, albeit she is very modest about it. Gabe usually is the one that applies first aid and bravely carries injured Pokemon back to to the SSES.

-Isabella likes Calm and Careful Pokemon. She dislikes Lonely and Hasty Pokemon.
-Lauren likes Lonely and Hasty Pokemon. She dislikes Calm and Careful Pokemon.
-Gabe likes Relaxed and Lax Pokemon. He dislikes Timid and Jolly Pokemon.

Paula (Alcremie) and Clark (Meowstic) work in the town's Bakery and Coffee Shop, Starlight. Paula is a gentle soul, and will often chat with customers for hours while serving them. Clark is... well he isn't just relaxed, he is one of the laziest Pokemon will meet in town, often using his psychic Powers to levitate things instead of moving them himself. Due to this, he is a bit of a chonky Meowstic.

-Paula likes Timid and Naive Pokemon. She dislikes Lax and Relaxed Pokemon.
-Clark likes Lax and Relaxed Pokemon. He dislikes Timid and Naive Pokemon.

Jenna is perhaps the loneliest person in town. Maybe that's what led her to building a small apartment building in town, for Pokemon that don't really have the money for a house, but don't want to live in a hotel. No one really knows much about her though...

-Jenna likes... ???. She dislikes Sassy and Naughty Pokemon.
Places in Town

Run by the Kecleons, this is the place to buy everything you need to live a happy life (when in stock). You can also sell your rare and unwanted items to gain a quick buck. Newcomers can also have their unique interest-free loan to buy a house!

This place run by Gerald the Meowth stores all the money in town. He will keep your money safe, since being mugged outside of town is not an uncommon occurrence. He also can give large loans, with a substantial interest though.

Run by the oddest couple in town, Star Dust will give you meals that you'll leave you full and wanting for more. They are always looking for ingredients, so if you happen to have any on you, come around! They are also recruiting new workers!

Run by the Indeedee twins, the hotel offers a place for Pokemon to sleep for a much more tolerable price than a house. It also offers an fashion and relationship advice service!

The Farms provide the town with all things related to berries, herbs and dairy products. They are also looking for people to help them in the fields.

Run by the veteran Gallade Nicholas, it's the place to go if you wish to train and participate in competitive battles.

Run by the Blaziken Andy, the team's main focus is the exploration of the town's surroundings. Currently, the team has 6 members: Blaziken, Lycanrock (Day), Jolteon, Bisharp, Feraligatr and Staraptor. They are looking for new members!

Run by the Blastoise Olivia, the teams focuses on the protection of the town and rescue of Pokemon. Along with Olivia, there are 5 other members: Luxray, Decidueye, Falinks, Corviknight and Ninetales (Alolan).

The Star Shard Emergency Service helps injured and sick Pokemon make a smooth recovery. They also sell preventive medicine and first aid kits. It's run by Isabella the Audino, Lauren the Blissey and Gabe the Togetic.

The shop run by Paula and Clark. They serve warm drinks and many baked goods, such as Cookies and bread. Due to staff issues, they are currently hiring!

Run by Jenna, It's a great place if you don't have the money to buy a house, but want your own little lair. Just remember to pay the rent on time.

The Rebel Raiders are a infamous group, whose aim seem to just cause as much chaos as possible in the town and surroundings. It is unknown how many members there are in the group, but it is clear that they prefer quantity over quality in that regard. They often steal, harass and vandalize the town, causing the Rescue Teams main goal to stop them. They have 5 leaders, albeit the only known ones are Teddy the Raticate (Alolan), Ivy the Salazzle, Victor the Pangoro and Diane the Hydreigon.

Name: Elliot

Species: Sneasel

Sex: Male

Origin: Newcomer

Personality: Elliot could be easily called an idiot, and that wouldn't be too far from the truth. He has the horrible tendency of believing everything he is told, because he thinks there is no reason for people to ever lie to him. Because of that, he is also a horrible liar, as he often doesn't see any reason for him to lie as well. He has the hobby of collecting things he finds interesting, and had made quite a collection for himself back home. He tends to use his abilities to sneakily "borrow" the items he can't get through normal means. Currently he is collecting interesting gems and stones.

Backstory: Elliot live with his family most of his life, within a small group of Weaviles. He has two siblings and was the middle child. His older sister was almost the opposite of him, being cunning and often being aware of possible tricks. While they didn't know their father, the group took great care of them. Eventually, Elliot's mom asked if he wanted to go to Star Shard town, as a present for his birthday. He agreed of course, and his family promised to make an eventual visit. He saw this as an opportunity to create a new and exiting collection of items.

Moves: Lv 20.
-Quick Attack
-Taunt
-Icicle Crash
-Metal Claw

Items:
-Choice Band, which he often wears as a bandana.
-Smoke Ball, an small ball that he carries around in case he gets into trouble.

Name: Aloysius le Fay
Species: Ralts
Sex: Male
Origin: Classic
Personality: Growing up in the sheltered setting of a small town, and especially due to the fact that he was not born a Pokemon, Loy can come off as quite naive and unprepared for most situations, but when it comes to natural charisma and empathy, Loy's newfound powers as a telepathic Pokemon combined with his experience as a human has given him a leg up. Charming and sweet, it is hard for people to dislike him. Firmly believing that everything happens for a reason, Aloysius' main goal is not to return to being a human, but to discover why, in the first place, he became a Pokemon, and what called him to this world.
Backstory: Born in the Kalos region, Aloysius spent his life thus far growing up in Geosenge Town. Drawn to the strange magic in the land around him, he learned early on that "quiet stones speak volumes," spending time dancing in fairy circles and having odd experiences revolving around their otherworldly magic, and he often returned to his parents with strange stories about adventures he had been on. He comes from a bloodline said to be blessed by magic through his grandmother, Morgaine le Fay, and Aloysius has no cause to doubt that, especially now with the new changes that came about for a reason he has yet to discover.
Moves: Level 1
Disarming Voice
Will-O-Wisp
Protect
Round
Items: Gardevoirite
Other: Aloysius' Human Form (emulates the appearance of a Mega Shiny Gardevoir, right down to the stone on his necktie)
Aloysius' Pokemon Form (will eventually end up looking quite a lot like his human one, as he's a Shiny Ralts!)

Name:
Chirin

Species:
Zorua

Sex:
Female

Origin:
Newcomer

Personality:
Chirin is relatively Mild in her nature, despite being a zorua. While most of her kind are prone to being mischievous, she's far from that-- at least not in battle. Chirin enjoys to watch competition between different pokemon and aspires to become competitive herself. Chirin isn't one to enjoy engaging in conversation unless she likes a person, and often uses her illusions to either hide herself so she won't get approached. She refuses to use them for any trickery, unless the most dire of situations call for it. Chirin is known to doubt her abilities and downplay anything she's good at, and she is aware that she needs to overcome that part of herself to truely flourish as a competitive pokemon.

Backstory:
Chirin has been raised much like many other pokemon in this world; by a family. She has one father and one mother, whom of which are also both competitive, similarly to Chirin. Both of her parents are fully evolved Zoroarks, and take pride in their species' ability to create illusions- that is where their power lies, in deception. It was this irk to challenge others that inspired Chirin to follow in the same footsteps, and now has her head-set to become stronger than she already is. Her parents caught onto this newfound wish, and made sure to teach Chirin in the arts of illusion, so she can pull off the best deceptions she can. Eventually, Chirin decided to set off on her own to train herself and branch off to make her own life at Star Shard town. It's here, Chirin believes, that she will bloom into the pokemon she aspires to be.

Chirin's family lived a slightly more 'natural' style of life, living in a Zoroark's natural habitat- the forest. They'd move from place to place in the forest and eat berries from different bushes for different seasons, and used their illusions if they came by more feral pokemon. Chirin's parents taught her how to traverse the forests and the wilderness, giving her a heightened sense of location in more wild environments. Because of this upbringing, Chirin has a slightly heightened idea of how it is like to survive in the wilderness and has a mild respect for feral pokemon. Only mild, though.

Moves:
Lvl. 17
> Dark pulse
> Fake tears
> Feint attack

> Scratch

Items:
Black Glasses, Chople Berry

Other:
Chirin's mother ended up having two small triangular markings directly underneath her eyes, which Chirin herself ended up inheriting. Otherwise, she's just a normal Zorua with a fluffy tail. The hair on her head is slightly curlier than normal.

(I've never been able to properly draw a Zorua this is a first for me haha)

Species|| Linoone

Sex|| Male

Origin|| Townie (Runs a small, odd-jobs shop based in his own home)

Personality|| A hardy Linoone at the peak of his youth.

Mass is a very friendly and quite hardworking Pokemon, always insisting on keeping himself busy with taking care of his family's shop, his younger siblings, and various other responsibilities that he carries as the eldest son. Despite the workload he deals with on a day-to-day basis, he's a very hale and hearty fellow and is always happy to stop by for a chat or two with the local populace, making him quite a beloved face around town. He's also very protective over his younger Zigzagoon siblings and is very emotional about the topic of family, as he tends to prioritize their needs over his own without even realizing it.

He takes great pride in his family's odd-jobs shop, Yorozuya Massuguma, and is hoping to someday expand it and branch out into other towns to ensure a comfortable life for their whole family. A particular habit others have noticed about Mass is his strange capability to eat more than half his own body weight in food and still keep his fit and lean form through the many jobs he runs.

Backstory|| So named for his above average size among even Linoones, Mass was born to a Linoone couple as the eldest and largest of a litter of Zigzagoons. They weren't exactly a strange family, living out in a small community of Pokemon out in the plains. When he was born, his parents-- who were both hardworking and dedicated Pokemon-- were already in the beginnings of starting their own business in order to bring in more money to take care of the children and teach them an early sense of responsibility.

Mass, being the eldest, took the full brunt of those lessons in responsibility. The moment his parents had decided that he was old enough to handle himself, they immediately got to teaching him how to help around the shop and in the business. He took to the new line of work with gusto, always ready to learn and work hard; due to this, he became somewhat of a face of the business due to his size, speed with delivering items, uncanny ability to find lost items with ease due to his sharp sense of smell, and general friendly demeanor. All the time working for the shop, coupled with the responsibility of taking care of his then toddler-aged Zigzagoon siblings, ensured that Mass evolved into a Linoone first among his litter.

It was around the time that he evolved into a Linoone that their family also decided to move to a different town in hopes of finding more opportunities to expand their business. They picked the then smaller Star Shard Town, where Mass finished learning all of the ropes of how to handle the business before it was passed onto him by his ageing parents-- who, while still handling most of the financial aspects and other more complex parts of the business, had resorted to staying home and watching the Zigzagoons.

In recent times, Mass has been training his younger siblings in helping around the shop and handling smaller jobs, such as looking for lost items and a few delivery jobs. He handles the bigger jobs, such as helping Pokemon move around furniture, settle into their houses, and even go out into dungeons if need be (for a price, of course). Though their business is quite small currently, his reputation as a handyman is one that's mentioned quite often in the town square-- if one knows who to ask. He has also expressed intentions of eventually hiring additional help should he need it.

Moves|| Level 20
- Slash
- Headbutt
- Iron Tail
- Fury Swipes

Items||
Amulet Coin - A token from his cousin, Fuse (an Obstagoon) who lives a long way from where he is. Mass had mailed his cousin a Quick Claw and in return, Fuse had mailed him back an Amulet Coin. For luck, he claims.

Silk Scarf - A gift from Mass's mother when he first evolved. He constantly wears it around his neck.

Sitrus Berry - Mass would never be caught dead without some form of food on him.

Other||
- Mass is noted to be somewhat larger than the average Linoone, but otherwise looks the same as any other in his species.
- He has three younger siblings-- Zigs (Female), Goonie (Male), and their youngest, Iggy (Female). He also has an Obstagoon cousin he keeps in touch with through letters.
Yorozuya Massuguma is an odd-jobs shop run by Mass and his family, based in their home. The storefront is usually run by Mass's parents, and has a big, wooden sign in the shape of a Linoone displaying the name of the shop. Jobs can either be requested upfront or left in their mailbox for them to read at their own time. It is very much possible to hire one of the workers there (currently only Mass and his younger siblings) for ₽300 an hour, with an added ₽50 for every succeeding hour in order to basically run errands for clients. If a client wants them to head out into a dungeon, there is an additional ₽100 fee and a short wait time, as Mass prefers to either do these jobs himself, or get additional help for it.

They can also do quick, small-time jobs such as finding lost items or delivering them (both costing only ₽100). (More info and prices will be listed as the shop gets more jobs or if I get any more ideas for what they can do.) Yorozuya Massuguma also will stubbornly refuse to do anything that may cause harm to another Pokemon or anything illegal.

Name: Lucas Ward
Species: Riolu
Sex: Male
Origin: Classic

Personality: Once regarded in his human form as "a champion of fearlessness," Lucas felt like he could take on the world. Nothing is stopping him from getting what he wants, which is to become a pokemon master! That is until Lucas became a pokemon himself. Naturally, he doesn't know what's going on, and it doesn't help that there's now this "aura" literally flowing through him that he doesn't know how to control yet. As a result, he's become very paranoid, sporadic, and to put it plainly: timid. However, once Lucas learns to hone and embrace his new identity, he can become your new best friend. A fully embraced Lucas can be very open, confident, and focused on achieving his goals.

Backstory: Lucas, born in Pallet Town, grew up adoring the legends from his town. He'd hope to become half as good of a trainer as the likes of Ash Ketchum and the mysterious trainer known as "Red." When he turned 10, he received a Bulbasaur from Professor Oak and set off to tear up the Kanto Region. He just got through his final badge and was on the outside of Victory Road when he saw a "creature" of sorts. Due to being from the Kanto Region, Lucas doesn't usually get to experience all of what the world of Pokemon has to offer, so naturally, he chased it down to a mysterious blue light. When the blue light "touched" Lucas, it consumed him, making him disappear from the whole region.

Whenever Lucas woke up, he noticed a distinguishable change in height. He ran over to a nearby body of water and splashed his face, revealing in his reflection that he is now a Riolu. Since then, Lucas is consistently panicking, with very few to no answers regarding what happened to him and how he can get back home.

Moves: Level 1
Endure
Quick Attack
Iron Tail
Drain Punch

Item - Lucarionite: Lucas has heard of Mega Evolution stones before but has never used one himself, due to being from the Kanto Region.

Other: 1582893550913.png
(It's basically just a normal Riolu with a scarf around his neck)

phantump.jpg

Name:
Reed

Species:
Phantump

Gender:
Male

Origin:
Newcomer

Personality:
Reed's nature is naive. He appears to be like an average Phantump, however, his right branch that grows off his head seems to have been broken off at one point, as only a jagged stump and a singular leaf remains. He claims that he lost this branch from being too clumsy. Unlike the rest of the leaves on his head, this one is yellow in color. Reed is very much like a child who loves to play and make new friends, but he is naive and may become friends with those who's morals aren't quite tasteful, or he could wander in a dangerous area playfully. He loves to draw, and is actually pretty good at it! He always lugs his drawing equipment around, alongside his many toys and dolls. He is easily distracted. He has never seen a human before and is always excitable when he sees a Pokémon he has never seen before. Which is to say, there's a lot of Pokémon he hasn't seen before.

Backstory:
Reed had spent most of his life with his Trevenant mother and father, who love him with all their tree hearts. Eventually, his parents decided that it was time for Reed to explore the outside world. From then on, Reed's parents sent him away to Star Shard so that he would begin a new phase of his life.

Moves: Level 11
Leech Seed
Branch Poke
Tackle
Astonish

Items:
Poké Doll
Sketchbook

Other:
Like previously stated, Reed's right branch is partially missing, and only has one yellow leaf on it. He also likes to wear a cute leaf bowtie sometimes when he feels particularly fancy.

(P.S., I'm thinking about creating reaction sketches of Reed in some of his responses similar to the mystery dungeon games, so that'll be cool.)

Name || Aiya

Species || Umbreon

Sex || Female

Origin || Townie

Personality || Dark, gloomy and serious.

Aiya is a withdrawn and gloomy resident of Star Shard. She is rarely seen in the town proper, preferring to stay within her own house just by the edge where she runs her little detective business. Her trips to Star Shard are very brief; only visiting to buy items. She doesn't mingle much but she is a rather polite host to visitors to her premises. Due to her naturally aloof behaviour and frequent wanderings on the nearby woods, she's become something like a local urban legend; with kids passing the story of a phantom Umbreon stalking the woods.

Aside from her "spooky" reputation, Aiya is known for her private investigation skills. She is particularly good at locating missing and runaway Pokemon, piecing together tracks and clues left behind in order to speculate where they have gone. Her house doubles as her place of business where she runs her own detective agency. Her cases usually involve unruly heirs and suspected infidelities though she has worked on more mysterious disappearances back in her heyday.

Backstory || Aiya used to be an investigator working with a larger rescue team in the Northern territories. For the handful of Pokemon familiar with outside news, she was particularly famous for cracking the Malevolent Spirit Case; a high-profile disappearance involving the elite residents of her old city of Snowport. She worked as a three Pokemon unit with her sister Hina, and a colleague Haruki.

She moved into Star Shard around five years ago, where she had her house built and her personal business set up. Some of the older residents recalled seeing Hina and Haruki around the first year their business was in operation. Nowadays, she's the only one left in the house. Aiya has also seemingly retired from getting involved in more high-profile cases and is content with just helping with the occasional runaway or two. Nonetheless, she still appears to have kept quite an archive of maps and records and can be seen poring over them when she thinks no one is looking.

Moves || Gen VIII, Level 20
- Dark Pulse - Learned from a TR.
- Quick Attack
- Confuse Ray
- Swift

Items:

Old Map || An old map Aiya keeps among her possessions. It is usually tucked inside a large, blue ledger that also doubles as Aiya's personal diary.

Smoke Ball || A gift from Haruki. It emits a functional smokescreen whenever she needs a quick escape against an encounter.

Moon Stone ||Yet another gift from Haruki. Technically, they don't have a use for it but she keeps it around as a heirloom of sorts.

Other ||
81df504a8e223d663a01ead74b9ddeaf.gif

- Aiya and her sister Hina evolved at the same time hence, both of them are Umbreon. Aiya is a Shiny, with blue rings while Hina is a regular example of their species.

Shinogawa Detective Agency is a family-run business established by sisters Aiya and Hina and their colleague from Snowport, Haruki. Their services differ from a traditional rescue team in that they mostly deal with the back-end of an operation. They track down and figure out the location of their interest but actual rescue teams are the ones sent in for retrieval, especially when it concerns going into more dangerous places. They have gone on excursions themselves however, when the mission is not too risky.

In recent times, only Aiya is left to oversee the business so operations have nearly grounded to a halt. She gets a few cases every now and then but no longer as many during their early years. Aiya has been debating on the next course of action for a while now. She could either sell the location and move somewhere else, open it as a different business entirely or try taking on higher-profile cases once more. She just has a few loose ends to tidy up first.

Name: Caligo Strom.

Species: Scyther.

Sex: Male.

Origin: Townie.

Personality: Caligo could be described as stoic and also somewhat arrogant, nothing really fazes him. Respects strength and is always on the lookout for strong sparring partners but more so respects determination. Doesn't inherently like or dislike social contact. Strives to emulate his father who was a famous explorer during his time(now most people don't know him). He seems to have a slight fear of ghost types due to their abilities. Has a strange obsession with keeping his claws sharp and shiny, on days he fails to do this he appears grumpy maybe even agitated.

Backstory: Born as the only son of a famous explorer to a pair of Scizor he always felt a burden on his head which lead to him getting his emotions in control. He was born a natural fighter and had the skill to best most his age. But his strength made him arrogant and he used to think of the rest of his friends as weak until he was beaten by an Absol whose name he never learnt. It made him rethink his stance on true strength but he still holds some of his previous views.

Name: Marianne “Mari” Shephard

Species: Mareep

Sex: Female

Origin: Classic

Personality: Lax

Mari loves adventure. She loves to see new places and gain new experiences, and as a result travels a lot and tends to jump from hobby to hobby. Despite her active lifestyle Mari will often outright refuse to do something if she doesn’t want to. All she wants is to have a good time and make new memories, and getting bogged down with things she doesn’t enjoy is a waste of time. Because of that, she tends to be very hard to upset. She can brush off most slights, intentional or not, and doesn’t hold grudges as long as she believes the offending party thinks they were doing the right thing. Even if someone does manage to upset her, she’s a firm believer in getting even, not revenge, and will just as easily drop the hard feelings once she feels they’ve been sufficiently paid for.

She’s more than willing to go along with other’s ideas, especially if it’s something she’s never done before, even if it doesn’t immediately seem like it’s going to be fun. She won’t know if she’ll like it until she tries it, after all. Overall, she comes off as very sweet due to her willingness to help, if a bit overexcited, and is generally easy to get along with. She genuinely cares about how others are doing and can become quite concerned if someone she cares about it upset or hurt, but she’s very much a fix it kind of personality and tends to look for solutions even if no one’s asking for one.

Backstory:

Mari grew up in the Johto region. As a resident of the small town of Cianwood, she spent most of her early years playing on the beach and helping out at the local pharmacy. This has afforded her some basic knowledge of medicine, particularly what berries have what side effects. As she grew older, however, her small hometown was no longer enough to keep her occupied. She longed to set out and explore the world, and when she was old enough, she did just that. Setting sail, she determined to land wherever the current would take her. That turned out to include waking up from what she presumed to be a wreck on the shore of some new and foreign land. With a new appearance and an even greater desire for adventure, Mari’s determined to make the most of this strange turn her life has taken.

Azure the Mudkip
1583029517063.png
Sex ~ Male
Origin ~ Townie

Personality ~ Azure is a generally happy and friendly pokemon and definitely tries to help others where he can, making an effort to meet new pokemon and make more friends. He's laidback and calm most of the time, caring more about having fun and enjoying his time rather than accomplishing much - which some can describe as lazy, though Azure would just laugh it off and keep moving. It's rare to see him be affected by insults, and he can handle the pain of losing someone close to him or being betrayed. He gets sad and wistful at times, but he simply thinks its better if he moves and keeps smiling, which gives him a fairly positive reputation throughout the town. He isn't particularly outstanding or recognizable. After all, he spends most of his time relaxing and occasionally helping out the people around him. He's mostly complacent with where he is now - he doesn't live in totally awful conditions, and to him, just somewhat good is all he needs to be happy. He goes with the flow most of the time and is flexible around other's desires, though he is often confused and sometimes even a little irritated when other pokemon aren't forward and direct with their emotions - he simply doesn't understand why someone would want to hide away from the people they like or the people they hate instead of confronting them about their feelings. He also really enjoys swimming, the rain, and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies - it gives him a pleasant sense of nostalgia.

Backstory ~ Azure lived elsewhere for about half of his life with his Swampert family in a nice portside. They lived in poor living areas, but Azure's father managed to acquire a nice job at a shop and they soon were a lot happier. Soon after, though, his mother passed away, leaving Azure in a confusing mess of emotions. Azure's father stood strong, though, accepting the death quickly and teaching Azure to do the same - to live and let go. Azure, later on, wanted to start a new life elsewhere, so he suggested that he and his father move to Star Shard town, feeling bored of the life he had lived there and instead wanted a fresh new breath of air. His father said he was content living as he already was, but told Azure that his desires shouldn't take precedence over his own, and told him to move there on his own to do what he wanted to. He was hesitant leaving his father behind and venturing into a strange world, but he decided to take the chance and keep going forward. He has lived in the town for a few years at this point, and he's feeling quite a bit happier. He also has an older sister named Aqua that he often keeps in touch with through letters.

Erucca Carmine

Species:
Alolan Vulpix

Sex:
Female

Origin:
Classic

Personality:

Erucca's personality has given her a Timid nature. Even as a human she was quiet and shy. She usually keeps to herself unless needing to talk to a new person, or unless she's around someone she has gotten to know. She doesn't like confrontation, and would rather remove herself from an unpleasant situation with someone than try to fix it. Of course, this is lessen with people she knows well. People with strong personalities intimidate her, and if she upsets someone, she finds herself wary around them in the future, even if the issue has been resolved. Upon becoming a Pokemon, her quiet demeanor became more of a troubled silence. She often finds herself anxious about being a Pokemon and her life as one going forth, and frustrated with being unable to remember how it happened or fully recalling her life before as a human.

Backstory:
Erucca had been a trainer in the Sinnoh region who was aiming taking on the gym challenge. While she was climbing Mt. Coronet in order to challenge the Snowpoint City gym, she found herself caught in a vicious blizzard. She attempted to take refuge in a cave, but as the blizzard continued the rage, the snow and cold wind swept in. She kept her Pokemon safe in their Pokeballs as she felt her body losing energy and her eyelids getting heavy. Just before everything went black, she saw a fox-like Pokemon, one resembling a Ninetales, but also... different. Instead of its warm light yellow fur, it was a bluish white hue, with curlier wisps of hair. Once she opened her eyes again, she no longer felt cold, in fact, the slight chill of the snow below her was a welcome sensation. As she woke up, she realized she was no longer bipedal, and was covered in white fur. Upon finding a frozen over lake, she saw her reflection and found she had turned into a Vulpix, except... different. Instead of the typical orange fur, hers was white. Despite pretty much none of this making sense, one thing that seemed to was the reason she no longer felt cold was because of her Fire-typing. Well, that's what Erucca believed until she blew forth a snowy gale from her mouth. Attempting to stay calm in this state of panic, she noticed a town nearby, at the end of the path leading down to the base of the snowy mountain she woke up on. Feeling as if she was out of options, she slowly stumbled forth, trying to become accustomed to the new body she found herself in.

Firmly locked into a pack mentality, Timber refuses to act without an order or suggestion from someone else. She is fiercely loyal, and will follow an order without question. If things go south, Timber won't blame herself, but whoever gave her the order. Similarly, if she fails, then she'll believe that the entire pack has failed.
On the positive side, Timber will gladly accept a Pokémon she has positively interacted with as a member of her pack. She is not easily impressed, and often looks for shows of power to determine her alpha. Determining an alpha is the only time she shows a competitive streak. She does not lose gracefully, and will keep coming for more. She doesn't forget a defeat, either.

Backstory: Timber awoke in the Pokémon World completely alone, right in the path of a pack of Houndoom. One Houndoom, Nightshade, took pity on the frail little thing, and decided to take her in instead of eating her. The rest of the pack picked on him fot being soft. He responded by fighting his way to the top of the pack, all for Timber.

Despite his kindness, Timber was still afraid of Nightshade and his pack, knowing full well that she was intended as food. Thanks to this fear, she hated socializing with other Houndours, and even her elders. Fearing that his daughter would turn into a recluse, Nightshade decided, with a heavy heart, to send her to Star Shard.
Moves: Pound, Slam, Swift, and Last Resort. She is level 9.
Items: A Focus Sash, a reminder from Nightshade to always be strong.

Snazzy the (Alolan) Meowth

Sex:
Male

Origin: Townie

Personality: Snazzy has an attitude of superiority because he and his mother are the richest Pokemon in Star Shard Town. This was passed down to him from his mother, who taught him he deserves anything he wants from the other townspeople because of their wealth, and he doesn't need to ask politely or say "please;" he just needs to demand it. Since he's only a child, Snazzy's demands are mostly that the other Pokemon play with him, or give him their things if he finds them to his liking. He isn't very intimidating, so of course his demands are usually rejected. In this case, if it's an item he's after, he'll attempt to steal it using Thief. If it's somebody refusing a task though, he'll just throw a tantrum. Despite his pompous air, Snazzy isn't very strong. If he finds himself getting into a confrontation, his most common reaction is to throw a Fake Out and flee while his opponent is flinching. If he does get hurt though, he instantly flees to go complain to Mommy. Even though he talks so much about his affluence, Snazzy's mother doesn't let him roam about with much money, leading most Pokemon to not take him all that seriously. Even though he's arrogant to almost everyone, he's only loving and respectful towards his mother, and upon messing up, even fearful of the punishment she can dole out.

Backstory: It was an ordinary day when Snazzy and his mother, Pristine, came to Star Shard Town. The first thing she did is buy the biggest house available upfront in full. Here they lived their lives peacefully, aside from occasionally annoying people with their high and mighty attitudes. They both are very familiar with the town, although it is Snazzy who's more likely to be seen out and about; Pristine mostly stays at home and keeps to herself, except to occasionally go shopping for food, treat herself and her son to a meal at one of the eateries around town, or to see if the Kecleons are selling anything she deems fitting for her lavish tastes. Due to her attitude she isn't the most popular in town, but the business owners put up with her because she's a good customer, and the other townsfolk just stay out of her way. She has heard many complaints from the townsfolk about Snazzy's behavior, but every time she just scoffs at them and tells them to just do what he wants them to. If they come to her seeking reimbursement for something Snazzy stole or broke, she reluctantly pays, but then tells them to take better care of their things before giving her son a harsh scolding. It's easy to make out the disciplining isn't so much so for doing the crime as opposed to getting caught. Despite her refined tastes, no one really knows where Pristine gets all her money. It isn't counterfeit though, so most people don't bother thinking too much about it.
