Sylvie Vanderbilt ♡ Location: Pythiana Island ♡ Interactions: Andy, Elias

Sylvie and her Pokémon had made their way down the beach, right to the front of the shore. Luckily, there seemed to be plenty of loungers available for her and her beloveds, and if there weren't she would simply pay someone to move for her. She was content on setting up shop right next to the ocean when she heard a voice coming from behind her. Rex had already started to play with the sand-- if a bit tentatively-- and Belle was curling up on the lounger, already staking her claim.

"Oh, yes, the weather is trés beau today, is it not?" she said, Rex stomping around in the background. It was quite loud, if not extremely distracting. Tyranitar weren't THAT much bigger than humans, but boy were their stomps loud. "Oh, don't mind Rexy, s'il vous plaît. He's just playing around~ Tyranitar do like sand, you know," she said, completely dismissing his concern. She probably didn't even register that he was complaining to her.

However, the rich girl would get her comeuppance as a cascade of water came out of nowhere, soaking her from head to toe, her pristine curls hanging limply from the ribbon. "EEEEEK~!" she shrieked, loud enough for probably the whole beach to hear. "This bathing suit is absolutely not supposed to get wet!" she whined, looking around the beach for the culprit.

As she turned back to the ocean waves, her eyes zeroed in on a brown-haired trainer in the water, a Scyther close to him. "Ummm, excuse me!" she called to him, hands on her hips. She stood on the very edge of the shore. "You must watch where you're splashing! You have just positively soaked me and my trés expensive bathing suit!"

At least the splash was a decent distraction from the mon for the moment, the teen and Azurill just watching this for now, getting absolutely soaked along with his pokemon and the woman near him. He and Aqua honestly didn't really care about this too much as the teen coming from the water immediately starts apologizing for that “Oh my Arceus I’m so so sorry! I didn't mean to do that on purpose I just needed some seaweed and flying through the air is a lot of fun but Kale definitely should have looked at where he was aiming. Duh-buh-um, uh, sorry!”

"It's quite alright but what were you doing in the water? It certainly wasn't swimming" he replies good-naturedly spitting out some water that got into his mouth from the wave watching him for now.

The lady then speaks up a bit to him, "Oh, don't mind Rexy, s'il vous plaît. He's just playing around~ Tyranitar do like sand, you know," She was right about that, they definitely enjoyed the sand if Rexy was anything to go by, the comment did make Andy a bit more guarded with her as he pretty much got the brush off from a lady that had no time for him at the moment. She appeared to have other things on her mind like her now wet bathing suit, "You must watch where you're splashing! You have just positively soaked me and my trés expensive bathing suit!"

Andy turns to her after that and speaks up now,"Excuse me miss, but it's a bathing suit. Aren't they supposed to get wet?" he says to her with a sigh in disagreement with the second part of her comment. He then turning to the boy again, "Though please be careful about the splashing, thank you. The name is Andy by the way, not exactly the best way to meet but it works." Aqua now just bouncing along the sand while this conversation happens, "The blue bouncer here is Aqua" he nods petting her gain before she goes back to having her fun bouncing along.

Wii Theme But Its The Worst thing ever made

Ivy could only sigh into the snack she was holding protectively to herself, this stranger just kept piling up with mental tags that weren't favorable one bit, fool, fool, fool, again and again, her mental alarms kept going off but then... Well, they always seemed to be yelling at a false alert when she was outside of her room, no matter. It didn't affect that one should be able to grasp the idea of an endless void of death by at least middle schooler age. She pursed her lips, stop being so rude ivy, this person gave you sweets! She scolded herself harshly, her eyes still wet though not crying, "...Its... auhn... fu-favorable that you dont know." It meant whoever this Kasey was and what kind of life he lived, well, that meant it was better than whatever the hell hers had been so far.

She took note of his glances that was his facial features and body language screamed unease. As if he was a Rapidash who would burn those who rode them. She stared at him with maybe a little too much fever in her zoned-out state like she was observing an interesting piece of art before she snapped out of it and ruminated that it seemed to happen whenever she entered any type of theoretical cogitation. Her eyes dragged slowly towards the Snover from its intriguing owner and she held out her free hand for the little thing to take, it was a cold beast, just like she had been in her youth.

She frowned, saying sorry was better than being impolite and kicked out into the forest and dying by rouge sparrows and - okay yes she overthought but wasn't that just a skill that she had honed for her writing, she frowned, no, she was just an anxious coward. "Snover will be fine..." She muttered, a yawn escaping her lips. Ivy compared to Kasey looked absolutely terrible. Her one visible eye had bags galore under it and she was still very wet looking, she had ink on her face and her hair, while the majority was hung perfectly straight on her head, the bangs were wildly out of shape hairs curling absolutely everywhere, it still covered her eye, of course, it had to or else she would have a much bigger problem then where she was going, that problem being eyes and questions.

Ivy disliked questions, whether that was because of her social anxiety and the many problems she had faced in her youth or if it was because she was avoiding even trying the think about the event that has caused her a defective eye in the first place, didn't matter to her. She would avoid them in any way possible.

She pumped herself up for a moment, and she followed along with Kasey, actually picking up the snover with some effort, she was exhausted. While she had slept some, it was still less than her mandatory twelve that she regularly got at home, plus her stress dealing with all these people didn't help at all, oh it was a pain to deal with this if her mother wasn't such a stingy raticate... She hurried up her pace, stubbing her toe on a raised brick, a soft utterance of "Hyeh...!" The only sign of pain from the short girl. She pursed her lips again, "Dont... Run. I didn't get much sleep so both I and my pokemon are... fatigued, t-to say the least... Euh" She stated as strongly as she could in her soft voice, which wasn't strong but it was the best she could do for not having been really social for about ten years.

She pet the tired and grumpy pokemon in her scarf, well... she wasn't usually this thorny or unreasonable and it was Ivy's fault for keeping the little pokemon awake, she sighed deeply, this wasn't a fun trip, she knew it the moment her mother had sent that email to her. Stupid... She hugged the cold snover to her, she was overheating again and the snowy pokemon helped, as per usual for her abnormally high body temperature. She hurried next to Kasey, "...Would you mind teaching me how to use the pokemon center... When we find it... Only if you want..." Her voice was barely a whisper but she knew she was close enough for him to hear the most of it, er, hopefully.

The anxieties that were running through Aria’s mind were too many to count, and only about half had to do with the paparazzi surrounding her. When she finally came face to face with Elio though, it just raised the anxieties having to do with seeing him for the first time in who knows how long. At the paparazzi’s gasp, the girl laughed, rolling her eyes and taking the flowers with a smile.

“Thank you, Elio.” The girl said sweetly, admiring the bouquet happily before hearing that old childhood nickname slip from his lips. “Oh no, are people around here still calling me that?” The blonde covered her face in embarrassment, shaking her head, “It’s good to see you, Lio.” She raised a playful brow before holding out her hand for him to take.

With a deep breath, the girl gave his hand a squeeze, “We’re basically going to have to outrun them.” She admitted a bit apologetically, scratching the back of her head, before looking down to her partner to make sure they were ready as well.

“Vee, Vee!” It cheered, making Aria giggle.

Nodding that she was ready, she held tightly to Elio’s hand and ran outside of the airport, Eevee in tow as the fans and paparazzi gasped, some of them in complete shock while others chased after the pair. After all, she’d just been given flowers by a boy, there had to be a story there. After running for a short while and seeing the entrance to the Garden of Harmony, her eyes widened and she took a sharp turn, pulling him into the maze-like structure and ducking down to hide.

Breathing heavily, the girl laughed, “Okay, I think we lost them.” Aria confirmed, taking a peak around the corner before looking down beside her, “Nice work Eevee-” Her partner was nowhere to be found. “Eevee?”

Immediately she stood back up, looking around and calling for her Pokemon. Then, she turned to Elio, on the verge of tears, “She’s gone…. What do we do? Who do we call? Is this something the police do?!” Aria was panicking very clearly, her mind running amok with all of the worst possibilities.

By claiming Kasey as his personal, protective fortress, Slakoth felt more than confident to cast his judgment down onto the ground-dwelling Snover. How could he not? He didn't have any personal issues with the frost tree – other than the chill she continuously expelled from her body. However, bringing Kasey this close to potential danger? Unforgivable! As such, it was laughably easy to oppose this notion of forging a friendship with the sniffling girl. For instance, if they did, that horror of a Shuppet would be far too close to them as long as the girl remained at their side. Besides, even without that foolproof argument, clinging to his trainer's clothes made it easily impossible for anything to reach him, let alone do him any harm. There was simply no way somebody as compassionate as Kasey would let that happen. So long as it didn't affect Kasey or his wellbeing, Slakoth believe himself to enjoy the freedom of consequences from anything he might decide to do. “You're making a mistake, don't you get that?” Slakoth uttered with lecturing confidence, gripping Kasey's clothes tight to keep himself safe as he peeked further over the boy's shoulder, “we don't need anyone else, we have Kasey!

The tone of voice, and blatant disinterest in helping this girl, drew Snover's attention away from observing Ivy for a moment. Focussing her attentive gaze upon the perched, starstruck Slakoth. “Well,” she drew out her words, entirely unsure what insight had possessed her to make the following claim, if any, “well, I believe she's nice! And, and we should help people, not just our person!

Not only was the foolish Snover talking back to him, but she was also willing to risk keeping this girl close? Foolish! “We only need Kasey! Besides,” one of Slakoth's claws pointed forward in the direction of the Shuppet eagerly harassing Ivy, “that Shuppet looks dangerous. Do you want Kasey to get hurt or something?” The Slakoth's vile glare remained unrelentingly stuck to the Shuppet until Kasey's hand drew near. Prompting the Slakoth to forget the world around him for a moment in favor of nuzzling his fur into the palm of Kasey's hand. No longer did the sloth have an interest in attempting to lecture the foolish Snover below, nor the harassing Shuppet. So long as Kasey's affection stayed with him, he would relent his hostile glances.

We should get going, Snover will stay close to you.

The words easily drew away Snover's disapproving gaze from the Slakoth and onto her trainer. Staying close to the girl? He did say that, didn't he. The frost tree let her gaze jump between Kaset and Ivy a few times before noting Kasey's silent instruction with internalized excitement. Of course, she would carry out any of Kasey's commands to the best of her ability. That's what they were partners for after all. However, this task was more than just a command to Snover. It filled her with a sense of pride, knowing that Kasey – her trainer! - had a similar opinion regarding Ivy. He too believed she was nice! But, that meant he also believed she required help then. Snover would provide that help to the best of her ability! Turning towards Ivy, the little frost tree was about to gesture her arm towards Kasey. Attempting to let Ivy know she could follow her out of the harbor. However, that plan fell apart the moment Ivy lent out her own hand for Snover to hold onto. Upon seeing this, a moment of hesitation washed over the little frost tree. Staring at the friendly gesture with wide eyes, she worried. Wouldn't her cold touch be a problem for this person?

Deciding to that the gamble, Snover held on to Ivy's hand. Her expression of hesitance faded rapidly as Ivy didn't seem to respond negatively to her chilled touch. Ivy's hand was a lot warmer to the touch than hers. Maybe she didn't feel the cold at all? Snover didn't enjoy the warmth much, but this was different in a way. A sort of pleasant warmth. Not the hostile heat the frost tree had endured so far. Then, something entirely unexpected happened. Kasey had picked up his pace while Snover had been distracted by observing Ivy. To catch up, Ivy struggled but succeeded in lifting Snover. Ivy held her close as she closed the distance between then and Kasey. There was no shred of doubt left in the little frost tree's mind, she was one of the nice ones!

It wasn't until Ivy's request to slow down reached his ears that Kasey realized just how much he'd picked up the pace. The general ease of getting people to move out of the way, combined with the distractions from his phone, had made him fall back into his usual movement speed rather than keeping it adjusted to Ivy's. “Sorry about that!” He apologized while letting his phone sink back into the appropriate pocket of his pants. Taking a moment to stand idle and wait for Ivy to catch up while he kicked a loose rock through the legs of a few people. Score! Only after Ivy caught up did he further the path ahead – at a more accomodating speed. “I'm kind of used to my own pace, heh, oh, yeah! I'll help you figure out how to use the Pokemon Center, no big deal! We'll be there soon anyway!” That last statement didn't necessarily have to be a lie, but it was definitely starting to look like it might be. Even with the density of the population thinning out with every few feet forward did it not look like their destination was within sight. Maybe he'd just have to tell her the truth? “So, heh, maybe I-

The sound of a bitcrushed notification tune interrupted Kasey's overdue explanation before he could even start explaining. What convenient timing! “Oh, one second.

Without sparing a moment, he pulled out his phone again and the screen lit up with a new text from Elio. Glad at first, but the moments after his expression didn't even attempt to hide the confusion he was experiencing at the hand of the received text. What in the world did Elio mean; no Pokemon Center? His fingers started to move quickly over the buttons. Formulating a response while pressured by the nearly non-existent pressure of Ivy's timid presence. No, I left from Vermillion. There's no way a place this big doesn't have a Pokemon Central. Send. “Ah, dammit.Center. Send.

After he finished correcting the mistake in his text, he put his phone away for the second time. The realization started to sink in that he would either have to explain their current predicament or wait around awkwardly for Elio's next response. Those were, truly, the only two sensible things to do in this situation.

Alright! It should be that way!” Kasey boasted his sense of direction with feigned confidence and set off immediately to prevent Ivy from interrogating him on the reasoning behind his decision. In his mind, there was no chance this place didn't have a Pokemon Center around the next corner. It just made sense for it to be there. This many people around? There hand to be at least dozens of Pokemon Trainers in a radius around then right now. Pallet Town not having a Pokemon Center? Literally impossible!

Rounding the next corner, it suddenly appeared that lady luck really did favor the bold – or the stubborn. Or maybe just Kasey for some reason. Regardless, there it was. A large, two stories tall, white building with an arched, red roof to top it all off. Adding to that the immediately recognizable Pokeball icon centered on the front of the building – above two glass double doors. There was no mistaking this one. Stepping up to the building, the door opened automatically with a short chime to announce their entrance. The space inside the building was nothing short of expected from a Pokemon Center. The center of the room was occupied by a large, centralized counter. A cafe area with comfortable seating to the left of the counter, and a slightly down-sized Pokemart occupied a large section on the right. The interior wasn't nearly as packed with people as the streets outside, and thus Kasey saw his opportunity to immediately make good on his other promise. He approached the centralized counter and placed his arm down on top. With a gesture towards Ivy, he spoke up in his louder-than-necessary manner of speaking. “She wants to know how to use a Pokemon Center. You can help with that, right?

After finally getting his Haunter to calm down, Reggie looked back to see that the blue-haired boy had given flowers to the girl before the two ran off away from the paparazzi. Wait, were they dating and he didn't know it? He had been flirting with the man yesterday! How could he not know he was taken? Why didn't he say he was taken? Confused, he ended up following behind, running after them. He came upon the Garden of Harmony and saw them run into the maze. However, that's when he realized he shouldn't be staring right at their hiding spot. The Haunter was grumbling but that's when Reggie realized something. Didn't the girl have an Eevee? He looked around to no avail. The Eevee wasn't here. The only logical solution was that the Eevee must have been left behind within the crowd.

It was when he heard Aria calling out for her Eevee was when he decided to step right into the action. He looked at his Pokemon and smiled. "Emeric, Bob. Help find the Eevee." With a (albeit tired) nod from Emeric and a hum from Bob, the two Ghost-Types left Reggie as he ran up to the hiding duo, an easy smile on his face and a Munna laying on his blonde hair. "Fret not, I can help. The name's Reggie, by the way. Hey, you look familiar." He smiled over at the blue-haired boy before finally getting down to business, his tone shifting a bit to match the severity of the moment. "Anyway, heard you missed your Eevee. I actually saw you two run from the group, but I unfortunately didn't see where they went. However, I do believe the best logical conclusion that your Eevee was left behind in the crowd. We'll have to go back. Or..." He smirked and walked out of the garden. "We can find someone to help who looks like a cop?" He spoke quite loudly as he looked back over his shoulder, before looking around at the nearby passersby, hoping to find someone who looked like a cop who could help.

In the meanwhile, his Haunter and Shedinja's search began to get further and further away from their trainer.

William steadily made his way through the crowd, he figured he might as well enjoy himself and check out some of the things the island had to offer, with all the cases in the newspaper being duds. He was headed for the garden of harmony, having informed himself on the fact that the garden had a maze and figuring he would show the structure the mind of a great detective. After all, mazes were puzzles in their own right, sort of.

He arrived at the entrance of the maze at the exact same time that another small group exited the structure. The corners of his lips curved upward, something interesting had found its way to him after all. He recognized one of the members of the small group as Aria Keller, the internationally famous singer, but that wasn't what interested him. He had met more than a few rich and famous people through his line of work, so much so that he himself could definitely be counted as the first and with the right crowd or in the right region as the second. What interested him was the fact that the girl seemed ready to burst out in tears at any moment and after a single glance William could make a reasonable guess as to why.

He was about to forcefully suppress his smile, smiling when someone was in trouble was a habit he could not quite shake, not that he liked seeing others in pain, quite the contrary, but any problem for him to solve just excited him, when the blonde man in the group said something that would always wipe any trace of a smile of his face without fail. Why did people always want to ask the police for help? You'd have more luck asking a random stranger on the streets than relying on a bunch of good for nothings whose only skill was putting their signature on reports of cases they didn't solve. Paperwork, permits and more paperwork, that's all being part of the police was about.

An annoyed 'tsk' escaped his lips as he fished his glasses out of a small pocket of his suit and placed them on the bridge of his nose before stepping forward. "Excuse me, perhaps I could offer my assistance in your current predicament?" He offered, talking directly to the singer. "Name's William Holton and..." He held up his hand until Watson placed a small card on top of it. He smiled, extending the flat black card with silver lettering for her to take. "If you'd allow me, I'll solve this problem of yours faster than the entire police force combined."

He glanced at the other two, gauging their reactions. It's not like he expected things to be quite this easy anyway. "You've lost your Eevee, correct?" He said, holding up a hand to stop any potential interruptions."Pardon me for the rather blunt deduction. I've seen you on television a fair few times and you were always accompanied by an Eevee. Of course, it's possible I'm wrong." He said, glancing at Aria over the rim of his glasses.

"So what do you say, miss Keller? Do you accept my offer or will you spend the remainder of today in a stuffy room of the police station filing a missing pokemon report?"

Jet Portrait Base.pngAfter a few more minutes of uneventful nothingness, Jet ended up finishing his course right outside of the Pokemon Center. And so he huffed, looking up and down and remembering the architecture for all of them was give or take the same. They had to look very similar to one another after all, otherwise trainers moving from one region to another, as was common, wouldn't be able to tell them apart. With both hands in his jacket, he entered and looked around, seeing a few people scrambling about. Some were in groups, a few alone but waiting anxiously for their Pokemon, and neither looked particularly tough or well-versed in fights. A few looked bland, at that. Ah, the poor sobs...

It was while scanning the interior that he spotted what looked to be a peculiar couple. There was a goth-looking girl that seemed ready to cry at the tiniest word spoken her way, and some giant with 'unique' hair to say the least. The interesting part about this duo was that neither of them seemed to be in any trouble, all three Pokemon he could see were out of their Pokeballs and moving around. That meant he could probably fish for a fight, and if not, at the very least get some information on the place- he hadn't figured that they were actually tourists quite yet. The blond moved his right hand out of his coat's pocket, fixed his glasses on his nose a bit and slicked his hair back with a smug grin he thought would look warm enough. And to an extent, it did... He made sure to switch the music playing in his headphones to something more lax, and here it went.

"Yo.", he called out their way as he walked closer, and his eyes seemed to be fixed on Kasey more than they were on Ivy. He never did good with people that cried often, so if he were to talk with her, even he would end up just feeling bad and blanking out. "You happen to know anything interesting around here? About the Garden of Harmony, or someplace to find strong trainers maybe..?", he made sure it was perfectly clear he was talking to this duo and not the nurse behind the counter Kasey had been staring down up to now. When he seemed to get the tall guy's attention and some form of odd noise he thought he could hear from the girl, he waited until they turned around and closed his eyes a bit, widening his grin before going back to keeping that confident look on his face.

"I'm looking to train and visit the garden, if I can. It was too busy to look around earlier, so anything helps. So, know anything to help a fellow dude out?", he exchanged glances between the two, although it wasn't hard to tell which one he really was eyeing. And as rude as it seemed, he was more worried about Ivy speaking up than anything, so he tried to slowly steer the conversation Kasey's way. There was a map of the place pinned on the wall just further by the counter, walking over to it and pointing at it before gesturing for the lavender haired boy to walk over. "Map's gonna help, c'mere. Show me a thing or two.", he insisted despite not having gotten an answer on whether they even knew what was up, starting to get a bit pushy in hopes of squeezing out a bit of info, if not a challenge from the bruised lad before him.

Oh, the paparazzi were definitely going to make a spectacle out of those pictures. Elio could only ruminate over how the press would manipulate what they saw into something awful while he was dragged away from the airport and through the crush of people, but a sudden turn to the left pulled him out of his head. He stumbled to the ground and heard Aria start laughing and chuckled too, then also noticed the missing Eevee. He scanned the ground for Eevee but didn’t see it around anywhere. Aria stood up and began calling for it, but there were no rustling sounds or noises from the Pokemon anywhere around them. That was not good.

He got up too and grabbed onto Aria, pulling her into a hug. “It’ll be okay,” he murmured. “We’ll find it. It couldn’t have gotten far. Maybe it got lost in the crowd or something. We can ask the cops—”

Someone ran up to them and startled Elio. He released Aria quickly and saw it was the dude from a couple of days ago, the one who had gotten lost then been so insistent after Elio helped him out. Two of his Pokemon weren’t around but the Munna still resided on his head, which was still quite odd. The blond dude introduced himself needlessly and Elio squinted at him when he offered to help find Eevee.

Okay… Right. Yeah. A total stranger wanted to help find international idol Blooming Rose’s Eevee. That definitely was not at all suspicious. This guy was probably some fan who wanted to curry favor with Aria so that he could get freebies or something else creepier. Elio moved to put himself between Reggie and Aria, crossing his arms. “If you think it was lost in the crowd then why don’t you go look for it, pal? Or go find a cop for us? I’m pretty sure I saw some over by the Pokemon Center so—”

Another man approached them, this one in a blazer and some glasses that really needed to be pushed up all the way. Elio did his best to not scowl at the business card. One more stranger, offering to help out Aria, which was about fifty times more suspicious. Was this a tag-team effort to trick Aria into something? Maybe these guys had done something with Eevee and now they were planning to exploit the idol? He kept his mouth shut and forced his expression into a neutral pout as the probably fake detective drawled on and on. Well, he certainly talked pretentiously, but that did not actually mean anything.

“We should backtrack and see if we can find Eevee anywhere, Ria.” Elio turned to her, after eyeing both Reggie and William. “If these guys want to help then they can, but if Eevee really is missing then it’s better to file a report with the police instead of letting some guy with a card, which could be easily faked, help out. We might not even need to go to the cops - Eevee might have just gotten lost in the crowd.” Or nabbed by someone while they were running, or taken by these two strangers, but Elio did not want to put that thought into Aria’s head. “But it could be better to have more people looking, I guess.”

His phone chimed again, then again. Two messages from Kasey? He couldn't look at them now and instead pulled the luxury ball off his belt. He studied it for several moments, then sighed and let out Bells. The dragon shook herself off when she was freed and looked up at Elio expectantly. "Go search," he said quietly, nodding into the street. Bells ducked her head down and slid around Reggie and William, then darted out into the crowd.

They were mad. He just soaked two complete strangers and their pokemon and they were mad. The lady in blue was already shouting and it was only a matter of time until the boy and his Azuril were going to … offer a genuine question and introduce themselves? Oh. Ok only one person was mad. Definitely better but still needed to be fixed. "Ah I'm terribly sorry! Again! That's all my fault. Uh buh, wha-? Andy oh, uh, nice to meet you. I have some seaweed if you want it" Elias said as he held the slimy seaweed in one hand and brought it up to show. He was never particularly good at talking with people to get them to stop being mad at him. People seemed to get mad at him often. He noticed Kale was looking confused at him and pointed to the pack. An idea dawned at that point. When all else failed he knew he could always turn to his better skills.

"Wait, I know how to fix this. Andy, hold my seaweed!"
-Elias said, thrusting the clump over to him and in the same motion running over to his pack again. He rummages through and pulls out the previously stuffed coconuts, the foldable table, some metal skewers, a few berry pots he had and, most importantly, a bag filled with marinating beef cuts. With both arms full of items he confidently exclaimed - "My name is Elias Franes and you are about to witness a culinary masterpiece! Sit back and wait but a moment as I atone for my mistakes!" He tossed one armful of ingredients into the air and started placing down the table and the rest of the ingredients on it. He called out to Kale - "Start chopping. We need ribbons and halves" Then he pulls out another pokeball from his pocket and brings out a Vulpix. Vulpix trills happily as it is able to get some time out. Then it noticed the falling ingredients and begins frantically calling out. Kale meanwhile jumped up and started cutting up the ingredients that were in the air. He cut both coconuts with a single swish and moved on to swirling his claws while cutting through the meat in a fancy display of dexterity.

Still on the ground Elias began dicing away at the fresh berries that he was pulling from the pots. An array of oran and pecha berries were peeled and cut into perfect slices. The vulpix kept shouting at him until he finally turned his attention upwards. Both metal skewers in hand he punctured through the falling meat pieces and spun them in a circle around and round until they were in perfect little ribbons on the sticks. Vulpix dived over to catch the falling coconut halves, one, then two. Carefully placing them down with the liquid still somehow inside. "Well done Pepper!" -Elias happily clamored to the very annoyed Vulpix who angrily cried at him. "Yes yes I know. It's for a good cause though. Now can you help me out with some fire?" Pepper still huffed but complied with a spinning fire that enveloped the two meat kabobs. The heat radiated intensely as both of Elias' hands felt the familiar warmth of cooking meat close to them. With a big smile on his face he said to his audience. "Apologies for the delay. Your lunch is now served. Please enjoy these Sirloin a la Flambe with a cool berry salad and delicious coconut water chaser" -He gave one forceful shake on both hands to force the fire out. He then proceeded to hold out the skewers with a large proud smile.

Annette - Delphia
Annette balcony.PNG

Annette felt distracted as she browsed the aisles in the pokemart. She was thinking of Naka and her pursuit. What made it worse was that at this time she’d yet to receive any sort of response on her phone. She had gotten so distracted she had absentmindedly pulled out a cigarette while in the shop and had to be reprimanded by the store clerk.
Securing a fresh roll of film and a can of coffee, she exited the pokemart looking back down the way Naka had run off to. Cracking open her can Annette walked back down the busy street towards her hotel, she wanted to fetch her camera bag and make sure the film she’d gotten was the right fit. The streets didn’t seem any less crowded than they’d been before, she could see many families and trainers wandering around looking for entertainment on the day before the big event started.

Returning to her shared room Annette easily fit the new pack of film into her camera. Stepping out onto their balcony she took a quick shot of the landscape; the clunky camera spit out its photo and she shook it before examining the picture. Annette smiled, sitting down at the small table just inside the room. Opening up her phone she scrolled through the news, there were a lot of counts of theft in the area. She frowned, that was certainly something one would both expect and not want at a big gathering like this.

“Well, I’ll just have to be extra careful not to let my things out of my sight,” she said to herself, standing up.

Her first stop on this little island trip of hers was going to be Athenia, the destination for all of those wishing to participate in the region's notorious 24hour battle tournament. Her destination on the island itself was the Metamorphic trail; she was a history expert with experience in fossils and rock formations and volcanos were one of the best places to find ancient rock formations that could tell a lot about a region's history. The trails mythos of being home to Entei one of the regions guardian pokemon and a familiar name to the Johto region, was an added benefit.

Now, the best way to get to the island would be to go to the battle tournament, either as a combatant or a spectator, Annette thought to herself.

She didn’t have much knowledge of what was required of either, but she had her ever-present secondary purpose of training Tyrunt while here, so participating in a battle tournament wasn’t an unappealing prospect to her. The only problem was the lines. A lot of people wanted to participate and it was difficult to tell where the lines began as the lines themselves were full, in an area that was also crowded. Even with multiple sign-up locations across the city, Annette knew she'd be hard-pressed to find one that wouldn't require her to spend hours waiting just to enter her name to the box.

Annette thought about what was the best course of action as she rode the elevator back down to the ground floor. Leaving the hotel once more with a brief wave to the lobby boy she started down the road again, eyes peeled for a sign-up location for the battle tournament, now slung around her shoulders was her bulky camera bag, secured from potential thieves underneath her red coat. If she couldn't find a decent line to register for the tournament within two hours, she'd concede the opportunity to participate in the tournament and would just go to Athenia as any other tourist.

LOCATION: Delphia, Seascape Hotel WITH: No one
Claire had never been so relieved to see the inside of a taxi. Her body sank into the plush cushion seat like a bag of wet cement as her nose pressed against the window, her eyes struggling to focus on the world outside. The flight from Luminose City to Delphia was excruciatingly long. As it turned out, sitting in the economy section during the busiest event of the year really only sounded good to her wallet. Instead of relaxing, Claire spent the trip crammed between two passengers in the middle aisle with no working television screen and her back kicked by a restless child with an earache.

For hours, she wasn’t able to sleep a wink between the anxiety, boredom, and the passengers snoring on her shoulders. Somewhere in this mess of discomfort and fatigue, her mind began to wander, questioning her decision to come to this place at all. It wasn’t as though she needed to travel all the way to a new region to kick-start her Pokémon training. But where would the adventure be otherwise, she thought? Every story began with a harrowing journey.

Besides, Santoris was every bit as beautiful as the brochure had made it look. Flowering trees and sparkling sea greeted her at every turn, contrasted by stark white buildings and tall towers the closer they got into the city. Colorful banners and displays advertising the festival taking place on Delphia were everywhere, adding even more vibrancy to an already colorful view. Even the nearby Seascape Hotel with its gleaming exterior and marble fountain had allure, although she could only capture a glimpse of it.

The honking cars shook her out of her daydreaming. Blinking rapidly, Claire pushed herself forward to peer out of the windshield, her mouth agape as she noticed the cluster of vehicles and onlookers in front of her. Traffic was one thing, but even the sidewalk seemed congested with people staring at… something? What could it be?

Dilan Taylor
_.jpeg

So Dilan may have fallen asleep during the time he decided to lay on top of chubbs, who was also sleeping. Waking up, he stood and yawned as he rubbed his eyes. Huh? What the heck was going on.. Tilting his head, he tried to figure out why he had fallen asleep in the middle of a walkway and driveway.. Well more like why Chubbs had decided to do it. He turned to one side and saw some people helping others jump over a fence.. Are they planning to steal something? Of course Dila hadn't realized that Chubbs was blocking both the walk and driveway, well not like he was fully awake to understand what was really happening. “Chubbs, wake wakey earth shaky.” He said as he tried to wake up the Snorlax but to no avail. Shrugging, he jumped from on top of the snorlax and landed on the ground still trying to wake up from his nap.

As he yawned again, someone came walking up to him with an angry face. “Do you know how much traffic you have caused during the last 5 minutes?” The guy yelled at him but Dilan wasn’t listening at all as he saw Honey, his Teddiursa, eating some honey while sitting down on the ground from across. “Where did you get the honey from?” He yelled out to Honey, which caused the angry guy to get even more mad and try to grab him but Dilan bent down to pick up something from the ground. “Oooooohhh a flower, it's so pretty.” He yelled in excitement as he picked it up which caused his head to hit the chin of the guy. “MY HEAD..” He yelled as tears threatened to fall down his face. “That hurt.” He said but as Honey stood in front of him, while holding out her honey toward him. Shaking his head, he started walking to a taxi that was honking like the rest of the cars. Why were they honking? He was confused as hell, was it because of Chubbs taking too much space while sleeping. “Nah, I don't think that's why.” Once he got close to the taxi, he knocked on the window. “Hiya buddy, Could you take..” Huh, there was someone in the taxi already. Gosh darn it, he wanted to go to the hotel he had so that he could drop off his backpack.

Even when doing something as mundane as leaning on a counter did Kasey's competitive spirit manage to shine through. While waiting for Nurse Joy to give him the answer to his question, his whole presence was unexpectedly domineering. It came entirely unexpected, making this nurse wholly unprepared for the Kasey-Level Encounter that was unfolding before her eyes. She had to take a moment just to assess the situation. Making sure she wasn't overlooking anything about what was unfolding right in front of her. The duo wasn't of the 'correct age' to just be starting on their journey – and thus needed to learn how to use a Pokemon Center. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with their Pokemon at first glance either. Why was this boy being so unnecessarily assertive about getting this information? The more the nurse tried to piece together Kasey's internal reasoning, the longer it took for her to respond. The longer it took for her to respond, the more she was stared at by Kasey's intense, grey-blue gaze. His pupils were locked on tight too! Waiting with impatient eagerness for an answer while the nurse was starting to wonder if she'd somehow, entirely unwillingly, entered a staring contest with the lavender-haired boy at the other side of her counter.

But, unbeknownst to her, a staring contest was very much what this boiled down to. It was very much a 'Kasey thing' to assume breaking a locked gaze first was a sign of weakness. Thus, from the second they locked eyes, he would wait for the nurse to look away first. However, that meant ignoring the approaching person. Refusing to look away even when that person called for his attention with a 'Yo'. While Kasey did think himself rude for being unresponsive to a greeting, it would be even ruder to answer without at least looking in their direction. Simply giving up on this one-sided staring contest, though? No chance! Maybe if he pretended he hadn't heard it? Luckily, he didn't have to weigh his options any further as the nurse finally glanced away to check up on something behind the counter. Likely her own attempt at disengaging from this weird kid. No matter the reasoning, it gave Kasey the win, and the freedom to turn toward a glasses-wearing blond. He looked him over just as the blond started mentioning he was looking for strong trainers.

The other stuff he mentioned about interesting things or something called the Garden of Harmony didn't really appeal to Kasey. He could've been courteous had he suggested that Professor Oak's Laboratory was likely the most interesting location here. If not, in all of Kanto. However, it seemed like that ship had sailed already. Kasey had latched onto the 'strong trainer' comment before getting that far into considering potential answers.

Looking for someone strong? You know-” Before he could get a full, ego-massaging, response out, the blond had already continued about wanting to visit some garden.

Look, can you let people answer-” Once again Kasey was halted in his attempt to reply. This time due to the blond seemingly walking away from the conversation. That was it. Kasey was now hellbent on getting this smartass to listen to him.

As Kasey marched over to the blond, Snover noticed the clashing potential and wriggled herself loose from Ivy's arms. She was reluctant about leaving the girl, but at the same time, it was important that any situation regarding her trainer wouldn't escalate too far. The Snover attempted to halt Kasey by pushing back against his legs. However, it merely slowed him down before willingly stopping at the pinned-up map. “You don't look like a guy ready for a strong trainer to fight,” Kasey scoffed, shooting the blond a side-eyed glare born from his lightly bruised ego, “what're you even pointing at? 'Map's gonna help'” Before taking so much as a glance at the map, Kasey grabbed the wrist of the blond's gesturing hand and pulled it down to his side. He wasn't some kind of pet to call over, nor did he need anyone pointing out this map for him. Not anymore. Sure, he'd never been out of Saffron City before, but he knew where in Kanto they were. “Look!” Kasey let go of the blond's wrist and pushed his own finger with aggressive force against the map before them, circling it around the borders, “Kanto, Kan-to, you know it?

His voice retained a hint of annoyance until he moved his finger over the location of Saffron City. Only his home city wasn't there. Nor was it anywhere else on the map. Kasey let his eyes scan the map more thoroughly before realizing that this wasn't a depiction of the Kanto Region. He didn't quite understand what was happening, but he was done with whatever joke was being pulled on him. “You know,” he mused, eyes narrowing, an unusual calm in his voice before he clutched the blond's jacket, pulling him closer, “I can twist you into a keychain if you want to be a prankster this badly. What're you trying to pull here.

Jet Portrait Mocking.pngThe completely clueless response that came out of Kasey only made Jet laugh with almost sadistic glee. Hell, his laugh turned into a full on scene as he threw his head back, now pulled closer to Kasey by his collar, only getting louder and kicking the ground with one of his feet in an attempt to get over it. Tears almost started to well up on his eyes before he stopped, letting out a long exhale and giving him a snake-like smile that would only serve to anger the brawler more. "You have to be kidding. Did you say Ka-", he tried to repeat his words, before starting to laugh even harder than before, a tear escaping from the corner of his eyes. And so, another half minute or so passed before he calmed himself down, raising a hand to slap Kasey's hard enough for him to let go before he took a step back or two, with a wide grin on his smug face.

"I was in a neutral mood but my Arceus, you made my day.", Jet could barely hold himself back from laughing, coughing to clear his throat and taking his glasses off to wipe his eyes with the sleeve of his jacket as he exhaled. "F-Fucking Kanto, keheheh...", he snickered under his breath as he put his glasses back on, simply grinning at the man. "You caught me, I've been pranking you ever since you came in, meathead.", he hoped Kasey would welcome the new nickname with open arms, because after all the physical and verbal threats, he'd earned it.

His voice was absolutely chock-full of sarcasm, as he let out a low chuckle before everything clicked together and he opened his eyes, almost sneering at him. "W-Wait. Please tell me you don't-.", he seemed shocked for a moment, only for his face to tighten and his eyes to stay wide open. He was... probably having trouble not trying to go into another fit with that noisy, villainous laugh of his. "Humor me, please, Mr. Kanto Kan-to. Vermillion? Or are you in Pallet's most prestigious Pokemon Center? Perhaps the more exotic Cinnabar Island, hm?", his teasing and mocking knew no end, although he was probably starting to get mean spirited around now... Tormenting this poor lad though, and to be called weak by the very same clueless traveller that had probably ended up in the wrong region only minutes ago- the irony was too good.

"Happy to meet you, my good strongman; name's Jet.", he seemed to have snapped out of it, although that smile that was up to no good was still on his face. Even if he stopped mocking him externally, it didn't take a genius to tell what he was still laughing about in his mind. That's when things clicked- although it would be pushing it more than just a bit, he could definitely try to pull this guy's leg a bit more... "I humbly apologise for all the mockery and tomfoolery, truly. You are correct; this isn't the Kanto map. That's because I'd the staff change them out and replace them with a fake, made up one to check your perception. And you passed the task, with flying colors! Allow me to introduce myself properly; I'm Jet Cressfield, one of Professor Oak's assistants. I was informed to look around the Center, and here we are.", he uttered, his face more tense than ever, although with enough luck, it'd be mistaken for an apologetic look rather than the best attempt to not burst out into cackling. "This is a new Pokemon Center that was built just a few weeks ago, so I'm not too surprised you feel lost. Ready to go to the Professor's Lab, mister..? What's your name, tall fellow?"

If this worked, even slacking on looking around like this would be ten times worth it compared to the Garden of Harmony, at least for the time being. He wanted to scream and clap his hands to no ends, but that'd have to wait until after Kasey picked up on the lies, sooner or later... preferably later. Despite how convincing he sounded, he received a few justifiably weird stares with his story from the other trainers around, only to give them a quick glare and shoo them away in an instant. So, he turned back to Kasey with a hand stretched out as he awaited for his name, smiling from ear to ear.

Sylvie Vanderbilt ♡ Location: Pythiana Island ♡ Interactions: Andy, Elias

Sylvie wasn't really sure how to respond to this situation... These two people were just... the complete opposite of the types of people that she usually interacted with. So loud, so... earnest. It made her very trepidatious (and a little bit sick to her stomach...) But she supposed there was no use getting her crinoline in a crumble... it would just make her look unreasonable, after all. And she was a very reasonable young lady!

She took a deep breath, closing her eyes to gather herself for a moment, ignoring the terrible comment about her bathing suit. It was quite clear that this person had never had a bathing suit valued more than a single PokéDollar. "Enchanté, both of you," she said, her voice not incredibly enthusiastic, but still polite. "Sylvie Vanderbilt. The pleasure is all mine."

Admittedly, she was quite curious about whatever it was that the chef-- err, Elias-- was getting up to exactly. She had been to plenty of restaurants where they cooked in front of you, but this felt a lot more personal somehow. She was, admittedly, quite impressed, and that was something that rarely happened. She took one of the skewers and examined it for a moment before speaking.

"Errr... are there no utensils? It would be simply barbaric to eat this right from the skewer..."

"Ahhhhhh, this is the life" Matthew lays on the sandy beaches of Pythania. He'd actually arrived a few days prior, figured it would have been less busy. But even now, with the beaches and the crowds forming, he was still able to relax and enjoy some of that yellow sun. Though he burns up in the sun pretty quickly, so he made sure to pack along with an obnoxious orange umbrella; brolly is what he'll usually call it due to his life living in Galar. Next to him were Hitmonlee and Torkaol, The former was meditating as he usually does while Torkoal, was just sleeping as he usually did, enjoying the nice hot sun rays that blasted from the heavens. Of course, it wasn't as peaceful as it was a few days ago, he could hardly hear the waves of the ocean from all the tourists, screaming kids, stomping pokemon, and a screaming Kalos lady. That one particularly caught his attention-of bringing up bad memories. "Oh bugger we got someone from Kalos here too... ugh." He leaned forward and stretched his arms towards the sky. "Though~" He relaxed his arms, but he continued to sit upright. " I guess that's to be expected, this is a tourist destination after. For what's it's worth the beaches of Kalos got nothing on this place." His eyes began to drift to the shore, pokemon and people playing alike. It put a little bit of a smile on his face, "This is what Rob never understood. It's about money it's about the memories and enjoying one another... At least that should be the reality" He gave a short sigh, he was still bothered by the whole situation. No matter how much he tried to think about literally anything else, it always came back like some type of parasite. He was a good trainer, that's what he always told himself, sure he's never won any major championships, but he sold out plenty of times for sponsorship. Shuckle Juice, Barbroach Shaving Cream, you name it. He hated every second of it but it's what kept the money flowing and made Rob happy. He at least figured that loyalty would get him somewhere.

However, the sudden creature that popped out from the sand quickly snapped him out of his own self-deprecation, Lombre of course who else would it be. Just staring back at Matthew with his emotionless eyes. It... Unsettled Matthew a bit "Bloody Ell, Lom, I hope you're behaving yourself." He quickly turned another direction, and scanned the beaches for Raichu, who- unsurprisingly trying to flex about to different Pokemon and people "Ugh, Raichu you're supposed to be watching Lombre, you know how he gets!" Raichu tuned him out, too busy trying to impress all the creatures on the beach, to little avail. Lombre slowly sunk back into the sand, maintaining eye contact with Matthew before the sand swallowed him up. "You know I'd be worried for him if I wasn't worried about everyone else," Matthew said, looking at Hitmonlee, who was looking right back at Matthew, the two had a pretty close bond, being together for 10 years probably helps in that department. "So Lee, I know~" He began, Hitmonlee's eyes shifted with suspicion, and Matthew chuckled as he noticed, "I know, I wanted to take a break from battling but do you think we should do that tournament? The ball's in your court I'll let you decide." Hitmonlee simply shrugged, mainly for the fact he wasn't going to be an enabler "Oh come on Lee, it could be fun! Oh well, I guess we have time to think about it, maybe after we're done relaxing on this beach, we can go for some Ice lollies or some Ice cream!" Hitmonlee quickly nodded in agreement instead of his usual shrugs. "Aw yeah! That's an answer I'd like to hear! I can feel it now! We're going to get rejuvenated, and I can already feel the air starting to go our wa-" Suddenly, a Volleyball slammed directly into Matthew's face, and as quickly as it hit his face, it rickashayed as quickly from his face. Hitmonlee stared with utter disbelief, Matthew's face was pink-red, and his expression had a mix of shock, anger, and most importantly pain. "Oi! We be sorry mate, Machamp sometimes get's carried away you know how it is! He was actually aiming for this Raichu, little shit." a man, sounding partially drunk, yelled from some direction, Matthew couldn't really tell, all he knew was blinding pain at this current moment. "I can't tell... If my nose is broken... or if it's from the pain... or both..." Raichu slowly sulked over back to the rest of the group, "Oi, that's your Raichu!? You need to keep a better eye on your Pokemon I'll tell you H'wat". Raichu could feel the anger eroding from Hitmonlee's glare. Hitmonlee didn't really care what Raichu did at this exact moment, but he wasn't too thrilled. Hitmonlee tapped on Torkoal, pointed at Raichu, then the area where they were sitting. Signaling both of them to stay put, he grabbed then grabbed Matthew and slowly walked away from the beach.

"MMMM-MMM-MM-MMMMMM" Matthew doing the classic "MMM" speak whenever he gets hurt, his hand resting on his face, almost gripping it, that probably wasn't helping in the pain department but Matthew didn't really know what else to do. Hitmonlee was guiding him along, walking past a few people, paying no mind to some of the gawking comments that were thrown their way. "I didn't do nothing to nobody! Why did this happen!? It would be out luck right~ MMMM-MMMM" Matthew flailed about, despite Hitmonlee's best efforts to guide him, with Matthew's "over-excited state" It wasn't long until he accidentally bumped into someone, or possibly hit someone... His right arm flew to the side, straight into the direction of a simple doctor's face. Cassidy Jones.

Lombre wasn't fully aware of what was going on with Matthew, he was basically just doing his own thing, as he particularly did time and time... That time was always... Acting like a sand submarine, he dug into the sand, only surfacing occasionally, not to breathe but just to scan the world... with his cold... expressionless expression... but his scanners caught something interesting. Food. Finally taking a breath, his nostrils expanded, taking a huge whiff of the surrounding. Finally, it seemed a light clicked on into his head, before quickly being swallowed up by an internal blackhole. He slowly sunk back into the sandy abyss. Darkness and rough sand, then suddenly flash of light and more rough sand! But it was damp this time! He plunked to the side of the three folks, but he stared directly into Elias's eyes, not even looking at the kababs. He just stared with cold empty eyes.

Receiving a slap on the wrist, even if it was from a grinning madman laughing himself to death, served its intended purpose. It reminded him of other corrective actions he'd been on the receiving end off not too long ago. Whatever this clown was trying to pull paled in comparison, so why was he allowing himself to lose his cool so easily? Kasey released his iron grip on the blond's jacket. Not as a reaction to the sting of being slapped, but because it had been the catalyst for snapping him out of his confusion fueled agitation. He realized now that he was overreacting to the situation. During sparring, he would get pummeled for letting his opponent get into his head so easily. This was no different from a sparring match by the looks of it. This blond lunatic simply had a different 'fighting style' than he'd become accustomed to. Maybe he was strong, just in a different way.

Kasey didn't react as the blond stepped back from him. He could use the distance himself to formulate a plan of attack for dealing with this opponent. With the tension subsiding for a moment, Kasey finally noted the pushing against his leg and cast his eyes down. Snover was standing at his feet. She had been attempting to diffuse the situation by pushing out against both his and the blond's legs, but with minimal result. She'd only succeeded in straining herself to the point of exhaustion. Whether it was physical or emotional exhaustion, Kasey didn't know. However, it required his attention for a moment regardless. In turn, he let the blond go uncontested as he rattled off a string of glee-filled sentences.

Kasey only caught some mentions of Vermillion City and Pallet town as he knelt down and retrieved a minimized Pokeball from one of the slots on his belt. He hated the damn thing. It was such a restrictive accessory compared to his preference in clothing. However, the pros of carrying his 'trainer necessities' so conveniently outweighed the cons of having to wear a belt. Kasey tapped the button on the front and the ball expanded within the confines of his hand. He then let the ball rest in his open palm and extended it to Snover. “I'm sorry for straining you, take a break if you want.

Snover seemed relieved, to say the least. Not because of Kasey offering her a break, but because it seemed he'd regained his senses. The little frost tree extended her arm and pressed against the ball. Allowing herself to become enveloped in the piercing red glow before disappearing into her Pokeball.

Alright,” Kasey mused as he got back on his feet, slotting the Pokeball back on his belt, “seems you're done laughing,” he held his own hand for a moment and massaged his thumb into the palm trying to release some tension in his itching hands. “Sure, happy to meet you too, blondie, care to explain what's so funny about this map then?” his words didn't match the annoyance in his voice. Then again, there was no way he'd be happy to meet anyone acting out of line like this. However, in order to let Snover's effort not go to waste, he'd entertain the clown for a while – even at his own expense.

Listening to the ramblings of a madman, it seemed highly unlikely this person was one of Oak's assistants. It seemed even less likely that this map was actually a test of any kind. However, Kasey truly believed he did board a ship to Kanto. Thus, by process of critical thinking, it was the least likely that this 'incorrect' regional map belonged within this Pokemon Center. It seemed that the best course of action was to believe this fool for the time being. Even if it turned out he wasn't an assistant, he'd probably still know the way to Oak's Laboratory. “It's Kasey,” he uttered, his annoyance subsiding now that he'd made up his mind. Though, he wasn't ready to leave just yet and dug into his pocket to retrieve his phone. “You were saying stuff about looking for someone strong,” he mused, snapping a picture of the pinned-up map as he spoke, “also part of your test, or did you mean that?” He moved his gaze towards Jet after inspecting the photo, the glint in his eyes a mixture of suspicion and intrigue. "Well?"

It was hard to tell exactly what was going on from her position. Claire had half a mind to open her door, but it seemed like someone from one of the taxis in front of her already had the idea. Her curious gaze followed the man as he stepped onto the sidewalk to argue with, presumably, the person responsible for the traffic jam. The suspect, from what she could tell, then ducked and socked the man in the jaw, sending him back to his vehicle with a deflated look. This brazen act of violence only seemed to upset the other drivers more, and the volume of honking increased.

“This is crazy. Maybe someone should send out their Pokémon or something.” Claire said thoughtfully. The tips of her fingers dusted over a poke ball at her waist, her eyes falling on her paint-splattered shoes as she mulled over what to do. Chantilly might be able to defuse the situation and calm everyone down, but would that be enough? The other guy seemed pretty aggressive! Maybe a good bubble beam would–

Claire jumped at the sound of knocking on her window. Looking up, she felt the color leave her face as the person she was just speculating about appeared in front of her. He… didn’t look dangerous, exactly. In fact, for a crazy person holding up traffic, his expression seemed innocent, oblivious even. Were those leaves in his hair?

Her shoulders slumped. Slowly, Claire opened the door and stepped out, gaining herself a new vantage point to see what in the world was going on. Firstly, there was the guy with the red streak in his hair that looked relatively harmless. Then there was the cute teddy bear pokemon nearby– also harmless– but lastly, and most importantly, the cause of all their issues, the Snorlax sleeping in the road.

“Oh! Are these yours?” Claire gasped. Brightly, she pointed at the massive pokemon and added. “That one is huge! I don’t think the cars can get around it. Think you can get him to move a little, maybe?”

As Aqua bounces along and Andy's comment about bathing suits is ignored, he would introduce himself and then watch as this other teen has his own problems with words, at least it sounded like that, a trait he didn't mind as he had the same issue while younger. This teen offers him some seaweed...Seaweed? Andy looked at him quizzically for a second before getting an idea of his own, "Maybe I can use seaweed for baking perhaps?" he thinks looking to Elias who then had his own idea as he thrust the seaweed to Andy who would watch in wonder as he appears to pull an entire kitchen out of his bag.

It's here that Andy learns who this teen is. "My name is Elias Franes and you are about to witness a culinary masterpiece! Sit back and wait but a moment as I atone for my mistakes!" For now Andy stays quiet as Elias works his magic; inside he is elated, being able to exchange ideas for food, recipes, and just general cooking tips would definitely help him improve, the two could easily learn from one another about the different styles of cooking as evidenced by Elias absolutely putting on a show worthy of a cooking competition along with his pokemon. Andy now a bit jealous as he wasn't the type to intentionally do that given how he almost burnt his house down when trying to cook while younger.

Andy marvels at the display of cooking prowess that Elias and his pokemon show off, giving a whistle of approval when their lunches were served, sirloin a la Flambe with a cool berry salad and delicious coconut water chasers. Andy gladly takes a kebab and takes a bite savoring the flavors within that sirloin and the salad, making sure Aqua got some of the salad too in little bite-sized feedings as she was still a baby. Both of them enjoy a few bites before Andy would begin speaking, "So I see you are a chef dealing more in the meat and salad areas, very nice, I'm actually an aspiring baker myself so more on the dessert path for me, though I've never tried putting on a show like you and your pokemon have just done. Thanks for the treat in both cases " he smiles, Aqua pointing her ball tail up to show her approval along with her usual cheery eyed smile as Andy holds her again feeding her and himself more of the berry salad.

This continues until a tap is felt by Andy who looks around for a brief second and doesn't see anything until a greenish lilypad looking pokemon with arms surfaces looking directly at Elias, a tiny bit creeped out that is currently just staring at him, and nothing else. "Umm does this Lombre belong to anyone?" he now says allowed guessing that this pokemon had wandered away from its trainer if it had one.

The power of cooking had once again saved the day. What could have been a disaster has been easily and proficiently avoided thanks to a- What? Elias zoned back into the conversation to hear Sylvie commenting on the barbaric nature of eating a skewer. His demeanor probably reflected the inner confusion he had as he tried to wrap his head around needing things to eat food with. He literally shook his head for a moment to snap out of it and was able to muster a reply. “I mean I don’t think … Yea I probably do. Uh, sorry about that. You probably will need it. Haha, one moment”

Stumbling back to his pack he started his trademark rummaging again. He’s able to quickly find an elongated two pronged roasting fork. After a quick examination he declares that it’ll work and proudly comes back saying. “Yes! Here we are! You can use this fork and the skewer for ease of consumption. Enj- what was that?” - Elias got sidetracked once again as he hears Andy talking about baking. The fire in Elias gets ignited and he grabs unto Andy’s hand with both of his own. He looks deep into Andy’s eyes and carefully says- “You also like to cook? And you want to cook with me? It’s been so long. Thank yo- What the hell?”

Genuine joyful tears start forming in Elias’ face when a third interruption pulls him over to look at a Lombre that has emerged from the sand like a Sandshrew. “Oh hi. Who are you?” Elias’ words seem to have no effect. The Lombre keeps staring into him. The pressure of the world starts to weigh on his shoulders. There’s a sense of some greater longing, like an empty void that can never be satiated so it gets filled and filled with meaningless and inconsequential materials. The only thing that was really left for him at this moment would be to accept the unacceptable. There is no more truth there is only- FOOD! This pokemon was hungry.

“Oh yea you came here by the smell! Why didn’t you say something?” - Elias joked as the Lombre’s eyes still peered at his now visible soul. “There’s always more food at Ol’ Elias’ workshop” -He chuckled attempting and failing to dissuade the uneasiness through humor. He still managed to grab a handful of some leftover berries and handed them to Lombre. With a wink Elias said- “If you need more just ask”. Lombre only seemed to ever blink once but he seemed … satisfied? with the berries in hand.

Elias quickly broke the awkward staring contest and turned his attention back to the people who at least said something about his food and he asked- “So what’s the verdict? Does it meet your standards?”

kir.png Still not having any luck in her search, Kira stubbornly checked each building in a nearby radius, and every stand within the ongoing festival. Probably would help a little if she actually walked up to the booths instead of glaring at the stand holders from a distance though. Crowds were what she was looking for and so far, there's been no sign of any people crowding around anything useful to her goal today that she noticed. She must of looked like a lost tourist having had a few of the locals bravely attempt to come up and ask the complicated girl if needed any help, but with Kira being the person she is. It didn’t take too long for her to scream that she was fine, chasing the locals off with her immediate loud bantering, while Floofty cheekily laughed in her own way. Kira was still perfectly capable of finding her destination on her own, If Kira felt like getting help at all she’d ask the first cowardly weirdo the cream haired girl came across! Unfortunately, that person would probably end up like all the others too, running away, sometimes with a headache, and sometimes crying. Maybe even both! It's not like she's trying to be intimidating or mean though. They just don't understand what's she is asking for.

Kira slowed her pace, stopping in the middle of the sidewalk. She looked back towards the direction she had just came from, noticing that Floofty wasn't directly behind her and had fallen a bit behind. Seemingly distracted by some pictures that were posted up in a window of some businesses. At least she assumed it was food or even something cute perhaps. After all her current companion did share her love for bows after all even more then Marshy who often just rolled about and got them dirty. Though then food also sounded like a good option. The cream haired girl would be lying if she wasn't the slightest bit hungry the festival food did look good to an extent, and so did all the other places they passed! Kira shook her head, her pout returning to her now lightly roasted cheeks she had to keep her focus on the objective. Even if each option was very intriguing. “C’mon keep up! We can eat later after we find the sign ups!” She called to Floofty, rasing a brow when her own pokémon didn't even bother to spare her a single glance, and instead just kept looking at the papers. Kira huffed, a thud coming from her shoes as she stomped over to her companion

This place better be good whatever it is to stop for.” Kira said crossing her arms to examine the papers. Gasping in realization, on what they were.
Grabbing one the pieces of papers with her hand she began to crumble it up into a ball noticing one was specifically about tomorrows tournament. "Floofty!!! We're doing just fine and do NOT need these flyers!!! How do we even know if the directions are correct!" shoving the ball of paper into the pocket of her black jacket.

"Maaareeep!" The pokemon cheered tilted her head, staring up knowingly at her trainer.

No I don’t want it you're wrong! Now come on!” her cheeks grew red as she sputtered. Kira wrapped her arms around Floofty's waist hoisting her up into her arms. She doesn't usually carry her any of her pokemon only during special times or if she was flustered time to time. Especially her Floofty being the current heaviest, and it showed as she began to stumble backwards. Twisting to gain her footing she knocking into the side of a lady wearing a red jacket. The crumbled up flyer falling out of her own pocket as she tried not drop her pokemon.

"WATCH IT!!" Kira snapped although it was her fault.

Jet Portrait Base.png
Despite just how snarky he was being only moments ago, Jet seemed rather surprised by the fact Kasey appeared just to eat it right up. Although, rather than being all that taken aback by it, his smile just seemed to be a bit more genuine before it turned into a grin♫ again. Whether this guy was stupid or just trying to own up to Jet- he liked it. Strong or weak, it didn't matter. He was going to get his worth out of this man, alright. "I'm an assistant first and foremost... and a trainer second. I really am looking for someone strong, but- you're not the one. You just started out, didn't you?", he asked, seeming to be able to tell just how experienced Kasey was. Even so, his criteria for thinking so was wrong; it was like Kasey's Pokemon seemed to be training him rather than the other way around. "I can look for someone to train with after I take y-", he stopped and looked to the side as though he were checking something, although it was a feint to hold in laughter.

"... After I take you to the professor's laboratory.", he nodded to himself and with that, he pulled his hand back and shoved it back in his coat's pocket. Since he hadn't gotten to check out Delphia all that much, fucking with this guy seemed like a nice alternative to 'make up' for all the time he'd have properly spent otherwise. And so, he started to walk towards the exit and whistled as though calling for Kasey to come along, humming lowly to himself. "C'mon, follow along." Unlike a few moments ago, when Jet was trying to give him a bit of grief pretty clearly, he seemed to be a bit more relaxed now and didn't look like he was lying through his teeth the entire time. Of course, that wouldn't make up for the cocky attitude and the almost condescending whistling like Kasey were a dog, but that's just how the blond operated.

"So, how was your trip over?", he asked as he looked over his shoulder while the lavender-haired fighter was catching up, still humming to himself but with one of his earbuds hanging by his collar. From the way he moved one of his hands from his coat's to his pants' pocket, if he paid enough attention, Kasey could tell that there seemed to be three Pokeballs just barely in sight in his belt, all shining and in perfect condition. "You probably came by boat, hm? And on your own, too. Otherwise you'd have some other lost tourist trying to drag you around places.", Jet probably interrupted him once again, figuring he'd strike up conversation as best as he could to get the ball rolling.

The way that the two were moving, they were headed further away from the harbor and towards the inner part of the island, where the outskirts of town eventually connected to a small forest. The blond continued to look around left and right, looking if anything interesting would rear its ugly head so he could take it on. He hadn't the faintest clue where he was taking Kasey, so... he might as well enjoy the walk and see if he can get distracted with something on the way to wherever. Maybe it'd be funny if he took him in circles, though...

Cassidy Jones

“Clover, stop bothering Luna.” Cassidy called out to Clover who kept on trying to scare or scare Luna, who honestly just kept on dancing. Honestly it made him wonder how they are all completely different to him. His parents had always told him that one's pokemons took after their trainer but they really did not after him.. Except maybe Bubbles, who loved treating Injured pokemon. “So this is Pythiana '' He said to himself as he had taken the fastest type of transportation from Delphia to Pythiana. Why did he do that? Well it has to do with how earlier he received a call from his mentor that asked him to go help out a friend of his, so he gladly accepted the request even though for him, this trip is supposed to be his final training to become a full licensed pokemon doctor but at the same time it was supposed to count as his Vacation.. Not that he cared.

If he was being honest to himself, he sometimes wondered why he chose the path of becoming a doctor instead of a breeder like his parent’s or a trainer like everyone else. When he had first started his journey, he was doing fine as a trainer, heck he almost won all the 8 badges from Galar, but his journey stopped when his original starter was injured too much by some unruly trainers and now, there was a tomb at the Jones household. I guess that was his main reason, he never wants to see other trainers or pokemons go through that experience. As a trainer, he was always cocky and egotistical, but that experience made him into who he was, someone that would shut his emotions away but at the same time someone who is willing to save.. He looked ahead as he saw that was close to him but being stopped by Luna, who was using psychic. “Careful there, you almost hit me.” He said to the guy but kept a straight and blank look on his face. He felt Clover climb on top of his shoulder and start glaring at the man that had almost attacked her trainer.

Dilan Taylor

Dilan pouted, realizing that the taxi already has someone inside, and he knew how others aka the person in the taxi didn’t like to share rides. Now how was he gonna go to the hotel? “Ahh darn it, the one taxi I have seen so far since I woke up and it is occupied.” Dilan pouted and crossed his arm, not fully sure what to do. Honey came toward him to off him some of her honey but he shook his and patted the teddiursa head with a smile. “It’s fine Honey, you eat it all so you become tall and strong.” He decided to strike a pose when he said, Honey decided to do the same thing. He tilted his head as he saw the passenger door open and saw someone come out. He started to inspect the person that came, who started staring at him then Honey and finally at Chubbs. Huh?? Why was she doing that.. He turned to look at Honey, who also tilted her head and looked at him confused.. Gosh darn it, Honey looked so adorable doing that, he almost wanted to grab her and give her a hug.

“Oh! Are these yours?” He became confused when he saw her gasp and point at both Honey and Chubbs. He was about to say yes but the next words caught him off guard. “That one is huge! I don’t think the cars can get around it. Think you can get him to move a little, maybe?” He became all flustered as he realized why the angry shouting and honking was happening.. So he was to blame all along.. Damn, he just thought they were having some type of angry therapy, that's why he wanted to leave but no.. It turns out that he, well Chubbs, was to blame all along and that they were just angry at Chubbs for blocking both the driveway and pedestrian walkway. “I’m..re.a…lly…r…ea..lly…so..rry.” He started apologizing while stuttering, taking out Chubbs pokeball and returning him inside, so there wouldn’t be traffic. He covered his face, unwilling to face the lady, he felt too embarrassed.

Aria’s eyes widened, what the hell was she going to do? Eevee was her life, it was her best friend and now it is gone… The girl thought she might cry, but then appeared someone who seemed to want to help. She blinked her eyes a few times, listening to what the man had to say and pondering his offer. He didn’t seem to have any qualifications, well, that is until his small Espurr passed up a business card that was then given to her.

“You’re a detective?” She sniffled, raising an eyebrow. He seemed young, but his card said detective and he seemed like he knew what he was talking about. Her eyes flashed down to the Pokemon who she gave a small, but sad smile. Usually she’d be all over it, giving it pets and treats, but right now she was just concerned with finding Eevee.

As Elio began to try and tear the guy apart, Aria quickly placed a hand on his arm, “It’s okay, it’s okay.” She assured him, “I-I think he really is just trying to help.” She held out the card to her friend to show him what it said. With a deep breath, the blonde looked up to the man before her, “If you really think you can help find my Eevee, I’ll take you up on it.” Aria crossed her arms, “But, I won’t be paying you until I have her back in my arms, got it?” She said sternly, at least trying to be.

The last thing Aria was was intimidating, even when she tried her hardest. For all she knew, this detective guy could shrug and walk off, but he seemed intrigued enough to stop the two so maybe he’d agree anyway. Looking down as Elio let out his Pokemon, Aria smiled once more, mouthing a ‘thank you’ in his direction before holding out her hand to William, “So, Mr. Holton, do we have a deal?” She inhaled anxiously.
