Welcome to the Santoris Festival!

It was day one of the Santoris Festival and everyone was abuzz with excitement about all of the events to come. Some were signing up for the twenty-four hour battle while others were trying to register for the Pokemon Contest, wherever you looked though, people were busy! That was how the festival always was though, and on Delphia Island they were finishing up preparations for the end of festival music performance. The stage was huge and the barriers lining the front of it weren't the lightest things in the world, so it took a lot of manpower to get everything set up.

Meanwhile, on Athenia Island the line to register for the twenty-four hour battles continued to grow longer and longer. Of course, they had a quick check-in system: single or doubles, how many pokemon, etc. But even with it, the line remained ever growing with all of the tourists who had come from all around. One good thing though was that the sun was indeed shining on all four of Santoris' grand islands, making the festival that much more enjoyable for everyone there and everyone involved in the planning and setup of it.

Of course, Mykora Island just had the contest stadium redone with some upgrades and outside of it was a fashion boutique for coordinators and Pokemon alike! Everything was exactly where it needed to be for the week long festival to be a success and the Santoris locals were happy to see everyone else happy, after all, this festival was to honor their home and the Pokemon that saved it. Happiness was the least they could do to honor them.

Pythiana Island was filled with beachgoers and vacationers who weren’t there for any specific reason, or were just spending the lax first day catching some sun and meeting new people. Many wild Pokemon were also lounging on the beach, not as many as usual though, considering how packed the sands of Pythiana now were with humans.

On the main island of Delphia, flights and boats had begun to come in and drop off more patrons who had come to experience the festival. The Santoris Festival only happened every five years, so it was mighty special. You could see the stage being set for the last day’s music festival which was being headlined by Santoris’ own Blooming Rose, a point of pride for the region, especially Delphia Island. The Garden of Harmony is brimming to the edge with all kinds of wild Pokemon, some wanting to go on journeys of their own and some just intrigued by all of the new human activity surrounding them. Children were also in the garden, playing with these Pokemon who were all being watched over by Miss Elyssia, Santoris’ own Pokemon Professor and Champion equivalent. She was respected by all and seen as a grandmother to many too.

Everything was in place for this to be the most successful festival yet, then again that was said each time it was held. This year though, the locals really did put their hearts and souls into making it special seeing as it was an anniversary year of the day Celebi saved the islands. They wanted it to be extra special, just in case the Pokemon finally decided to make an appearance. Even if it didn’t though, which was usually how these things went, the festival is sure to be bigger and better than ever!

Wii Theme But Its The Worst thing ever made

Ivy wasn't comfortable. She was the type of person to sit on their ass every day rather than do anything productive, which made her engaging in a lot of ways that otherwise productive members of society would not be. Her fans enjoyed her carefully curated bits of herself shining on the internet but... well, it was safe to say she was very different in reality, and one of those differences? She was a coward.

She was always indoors, even after she had been kicked out. She was a freeloader, had been her entire life, and never wanted that to change, but of course Mama never liked freeloaders, so here she was almost fully cut off from every source of income, the only reason she had any money at all was that she had come here to San - Set - Something Region, she knew the name but she - red wooshed past her eyes, so many colors, people, living, bustling, breathing, crowding up the damn harbor.

With the sound of waves splashing behind her and the footsteps of all the people funneling out of the crowded harbor, she let out a noise of distress, it was too much, she had to get out, she just had to. She yanked sideways as someone stepped on her foot, tears already pricking the edge of her eyes she wouldn't cry right now or she would never get out of this trap.

She slammed into somebody else, it wasn't a hard hit yet it still hurt, "S-sorry...!" She called out. This crowd was like a river current trying to sweep her away into its maws leading her to be torn to - Shove! She was thrown out of her thoughts by yet another person hitting her, and another apology fell out of her lips.

It was hard to even see through the crowd of tourists around her and she had no way of finding a way out of this hoard of beings, so, Ivy began sliding through the mass - an impressive thing considering while she wasn't tall she also wasn't skinny either, but she was ver slithery, and there were too many people in general! How could anyone deal with this on the daily!

She heaved a sigh and steeled her nerves even as more tears pricked her eyes, this was just another experience that confirmed that inside a room all on her own was better! Everyone said friends, family, and lovers made every bad thing worth it, so just her luck that she was blessed with two parents who thought she needed to fix herself and zero of anything else! Ivy wouldn't be the first to say she lacked charm, she had been told that enough times for it to stick, she would never be like all those... People persons...

She was being spun around like a Kirlia in a washing machine and could only struggle and fail to right herself, she made a sound of sweet relief as she thumped into the cold of a stone or concrete wall, she couldn't tell with her eyes closed. It felt like it might be concrete by the feel of the rugged texture with small indents, like touching a half sandpapered rock, not that she would know how that would feel, even the ocean had been a new thing to her, everything was so different outside of her walls.

She let her soul settle back into her skin, wiping the stray tears that had escaped onto her cheeks, feeling Jinx curl up against her skin just under the soft fabric of her scarf. Her slightly panicked breath settled down and her jade eyes fluttered back open, the crowd was rushing by her crevice, and her vision shifted as she looked around, surveying her surroundings, she wasn't going to - "Awah!"

She hopped in fright, springing herself up into the air as if she was a Spoink, she could jump surprisingly high, the reason for her fright? someone was already next to her, how... Impolite, to scare her, he should have at least said something, she held her hands close to her chest and stared at him with large eyes. "Hu-helloooo?" Her soft voice asked more than stated.

While the boat ride wasn't too eventful, both Andy and Aqua were excited about this trip to Santoris. They had heard about all of the events going on in the various island areas of the region starting with the 24 hour battle, which he had no real interest in at this particular point in time as he only had his partner, and if he was to tell it, his better half Aqua; he wasn't about to toss her into such a fracas without both of them having several training sessions first not to mention more pokemon. There was the contest which would be perhaps more his speed aside from the shyness that is still a bit prevalent, though lowered thanks to Azurill and their early childhood interactions, but still there. He would need to also practice some complex routines as well.

He did look to perfect his baking craft while here as well, and he was going to need a kitchen area and some ingredients so that would be a bit later. For now, he would arrive on the beach in Pythiana Island and look to just relax and recover from boat lag? Is that a thing? Andy trying to be like the other beachgoers and just chill out, both he and Aqua just catching some rays and sight of a few wild pokemon just enjoying themselves. Andy would be comfortable right now spending the next 10 minutes lounging on the beach, the Azurill resting his belly just to be cute and have a nap, the day slowly passing by as they relax.

William stepped out of the grandiose lobby of the luxurious hotel he had checked into onto the sidewalk, shielding his eyes against the sun. Staying in overly luxurious hotels wasn't really his style but for once he had lacked the foresight to arrange for a place to stay before coming to the region and with the festival underway it had simply been impossible for him to find any other place available. Now that he had stepped out of the businessman filled lobby and onto the sidewalk bustling with all sorts of people enjoying the festival his attire earned him more than a few questioning glances. He shrugged, suits were what he was most comfortable in. Besides, no one was going to hire a detective wearing a floral pattern shirt.

"Say, Watson?" He said, glacing over at the small tuft of grey visible in the messenger bag hanging at his side. The small pokemon popped his head out of the bag, lollipop in hand which he quickly tried to hide behind his back. "I was going to ask if you wanted something to eat, though it seems you have already helped yourself to my personal stash and won't be needing anything else." He smiled as his partner made sounds in protest, waving the lollipop in his arms in the process. "We'll go get something later." He gave the pokemon a quick pat on the head. "For now I just want to see if there's anything interesting going on out here."

"Nothing, nothing, more nothing."
He quickly scanned the newspaper he had just bought while weaving through the crowd. "Hold this for me." He nearly shoved the cup of coffee containing an unhealthy amount of sugar he had bought with the newspaper into Watson's arms, the pokemon made a slightly disgruntled noise but held on to the cup, having to hold it at a weird angle so it didn't collide with its lollipop. William flipped the newspaper to the next page. "Annnddd... more nothing. Just festival stuff and some small thefts, go figure." He accepted the outstretched cup of coffee from Watson and took a sip. "Well, guess we could solve those theft cases if we get bored. Don't have to worry about the police getting the jump on us, if they're anything like the police in Sinnoh or Kalos it'll take them at least several days to figure out anything worthwhile and another day or two of paperwork before they'll actually do something about it."

He chuckled to himself. "Being as inefficient as the police is a skill in its own right." Watson just nodded his head in agreement before going right back to the lollipop he was still working on. William finished the cup of coffee with a big final sip, throwing it in the nearest bin. He quickly rolled up the newspaper and shoved it into the messenger bag next to Watson. "Well, I'm not too worried. With a crowd like this it's just a matter of time before we run into something interesting."

The ship swayed slightly as if it hadn't already been fastened to the pier. A plaything of the crashing waves brought in from the open waters, even now. The bridge had been lowered a fair while ago. Creating a pathway for the passengers to leave the vessel behind in favor of sturdier ground. A few feet to the left of this bridge stood the lavender-haired boy. Leaning onto the railing as he let the other passengers pass him by. Over his left shoulder the singular strap of his sling backpack. Clung to his right shoulder – and part of his arm – his partner, Slakoth.

While he was undoubtedly eager to set foot on solid ground, this vantage point was perfect for taking a photo of the surrounding area. Himself the main focus of the image, naturally. The camera on his phone flashed, creating the desired portrait in a few blurred tries. Himself surrounded by a few landmarks belonging to the pier below serving as the backdrop. After a quick inspection of the latest shot, a smile formed on his lips. He was satisfied with the result. Enough so to finally make his way off the ship as he spoke to the Pokemon who would accompany him during his time in what he believed to be Pallet Town; his Slakoth and Snover.

Heading down the bridge, Snover followed at Kasey's side diligently while savoring the lingering cold of a bag of crushed ice she kept pressed against herself. The 'present' that swayed the Pokemon to pledge loyalty to this boy. Meanwhile, Slakoth had more attention to spare for Kasey's words as they moved along into the crowded harbor. Only getting distracted whenever somebody would bump into his trainer more harshly than necessary. “I hope she'll be alright back home,” Kasey muttered to himself as he attached the picture he'd made to a text message before hitting 'send'. He stuffed his phone away and put his now free hand on Snover's head. Giving both of his Pokemon a reassuring smile. “We'll just have to knock this one out quick!” He exclaimed, drawing in more attention than any normal person would be comfortable with as he jabbed the air with a few technical punches, “The sooner the bell rings, the sooner we get back. First-round knock-out! Right?”

Slakoth responded with as much enthusiasm as you could reasonably expect a Slakoth to produce, but Snover remained silent. Prompting Kasey to fire off again. “Right, Snover... Snover?”

Kasey let his eyes search the sea of people and caught a glimpse of his runaway frost tree heading for an unknown target. The Snover stopped every few feet to watch Kasey power his way through the crowd ensuring he was still following along before proceeding further. The impromptu treasure hunt led to a visibly distressed girl hugging a wall as if it was her only lifeline keeping her afloat in this sea of people. “Hey, everything alright?” No response. Kasey glanced down at the sight of Snover holding out her bag of crushed ice for the girl to take. No reaction to that either. “Hey! Is everythi-!”

He nearly choked on the remaining letters of his sentence as the girl jolted with a loud 'awah!' followed by a softspoken, jittery 'helloooo' as the girl's eyes locked onto him. “Awah to you too?”

Kasey took the liberty of taking the bag of crushed ice from Snover and placed it shamelessly against the girl's forehead. “You having a fever or something? You're pale as all hell.”

“Name's Kasey,” he paused for a moment, maybe she was delirious from the heat? What person says that? 'Awah'. “Do you remember your name? Where you're from or something? The nearest Pokemon Center? Anything helps really.”

ELIO || Location: Delphia Airport || Interactions: Kasey Paperface Paperface and Aria temporarybliss temporarybliss || Mentions: N/A.
“Are you excited to see her?” his mom asked, gently pushing the last bright pink flower into the bouquet. She took a step back when it was adequately stuffed in with the rest of the colorful bouquet then smiled, looking toward her son, who unfurled the ribbon around his fingers and handed it over to her.

“Yeah,” Elio responded, picking at his nails, since his ribbon had been sacrificed to the bouquet. He watched his mom tie the red ribbon around the paper wrapping over the stems of the flowers and purposefully ignored the eyebrow she raised at him. “You really didn’t have to put that together for her. I was just going to buy something at the florist.”

“But we grew these together, Lio, so it’s much more personal this way,” his mom said with a smile, picking up the bouquet and holding it out to Elio. “Remember I’m leaving today so I won’t be home when you get back.”

“That’s only the seventeenth time you told me,” Elio grumbled, taking the flowers from his mom and stepping away from the island counter. “I got it. I’ll be fine. Thank you for helping with these.” He waved the flowers and side-stepped around Bells, who was curled up on the floor napping. “Think you could take Bells with you?” The Jangmo-o shifted at the sound of her name but did not rise. “I’m sure she’d like to see Dad and Darren again.”

His mom moved over to the Jangmo-o and nudged her with her foot, smiling when the dragon twitched and stretched, yawning. “I’m sure she’d like to be with you more.”

Bells, as if to prove his mom right, chirped happily up at Elio, who did his best to give the dragon a smile in return. She stood and stretched her back legs, squeezing her eyes shut. Elio squinted at his mom, who leaned against the kitchen counter, smiling gently.

“The only way to move on is to—”

“Yeah, thanks,” Elio cut her off and moved further away from the island counter. Bells trotted after him. “I’ll be fine, as always. Safe travels, as always. Love you, as always. Say hi to Dad and Darren for me.”

“As always, Lio.” His mom waved. “Try not to be too nervous, honey. I know you are but you’ll be fine. Try to have fun today, okay?”

“I’m not nervous, but okay, thank you.” Elio watched Bells walk past him and go over to the front door. “Talk to you tonight,” he said to his mom, following after his Jangmo-o and opening the door for her.

Elio Abernathy-Barrows was actually quite nervous, leaving his house, but he decided to act like the thumping of his heart in his chest was from excitement and not from the inevitable re-meeting of his childhood best friend after almost five years of not having seen her in person. A lot had happened during those five years, and he definitely was not the same person that she remembered now, but he was most definitely excited to see her again. Completely. He was sure that she would definitely like the current him and that nothing was going to be weird between them at all. He was very excited. She definitely wouldn’t be disappointed with how he was now or figure out what happened at all. His heart was only racing from how eager he was to see her.

If he kept telling himself it was excitement then surely it would become that, right?

Bells chirped up at him, distracting him from his nervous, correction, not nervous, excited, thoughts. She came back over to him and stood on her back legs to paw at one of the dive balls on his hip. He hadn’t realized he had stopped walking, honestly, but he touched the top of her head. “Not now,” he whispered, stepping around her and half stumbling/jumping down the front steps of his porch. Bells jumped down after him, pouting, concerned.

Elio brought his thumb to his mouth and started chewing on his nail, trusting his body to take him to the beach. Maybe he was kind of nervous, but he surely had no reason to be. Aria was his childhood friend and they talked with each other as frequently as they could while she had been out touring. She didn’t really know about what happened while he himself was traveling, but no one really knew what happened during that time, so he’d just not bring it up at all and hopefully she would not ask about it. He glanced down at Bells, who would not be helpful in keeping his past a secret. After a moment's consideration, he took her luxury ball off his hip and returned her. He studied her ball and held back a sigh, then heard his phone chime in the back pocket of his shorts.

He returned the luxury ball to the belt holding the rest of his Pokemon and pulled his phone out. The text could be from one of three people, and since Aria was on a plane and his brother was probably battling some poor unfortunate trainer, it had to be from the last possible person. He was right and clicked the picture Kasey sent, frowning. That didn’t really look like Pallet Town. That lighthouse did not look like a Kanto lighthouse. It actually looked like the lighthouse near the pier on Delphia, but that was not possible, because Kasey was going to Kanto. He glanced around quickly to see if there were any lighthouses nearby, but he wasn’t close enough to the beach yet to see any.

He sent a text back to Kasey with one hand, since his other was holding the bouquet of flowers - I didn’t know Pallet Town had lighthouses but congrats on arriving safely! - then slid his phone back into his pocket. Pallet Town could have added a lighthouse to their shores in the four years he had been there. One that looked a lot like Delphia’s lighthouse, sure, but it was possible. Not likely, really, but possible, because Kasey was not in Santoris, since he was supposed to be in Kanto. He had no idea what he’d do if Kasey was in Santoris, along with Aria being back. He couldn’t think about it. He needed to get to Delphia so he could be there to greet Aria when she landed.

Keeping his head down, he dodged around all of the tourists on his way to the beach. He didn’t pay much attention to any other tourists on the sand and found a relatively human free spot on it, then released Breaker into the water. Breaker cheered and splashed happily in the ocean but Elio reached his hand up to his head and cooed to him, quieting him. He could feel the eyes of the spectators already watching him and his Lapras, but he did his best to pretend they weren’t there and climbed up onto the shell of the blue Pokemon, then set out to Delphia.

A short Lapras ride later and he touched down on the sandy shore of the other island. It was very crowded. Elio returned Breaker to his ball and kept his flowers close to him and went straight to the airport. If things went well with Aria then he’d go explore the festival with her and reconnect at the same time. It was a flawless plan, really. He hoped it would work out well. No, it would work out well, because he wasn’t nervous, but just very excited. Excited! Yes! That was him, definitely!

There were so many people bustling around the landing strip. He really wished he had some scary Pokemon that could clear a path for him, but he did not, so he had to squeeze between the tightly packed people to get to the front, uttering quiet apologies and excuse me’s to the people he bumped into. The bouquet suffered some very light crushing during the process, but he didn’t notice and scanned the people getting off the plane, trying to find the girl he hadn’t seen in so long.

The small plane had just landed at the large airport in Oceanblue city, the only airport on all four islands. Looking out the window, Aria could easily see the photographers and newscasters awaiting her arrival, and it made her anxious. With a sigh she pet Eevee’s head, the small Pokemon looking up to her and cocking its head.

“Nothing to worry about.” The girl gave a fake smile, one that had been practiced for the past seven years or so.

Still, her partner knew her all too well enough to give her stomach a gentle headbutt which caused Aria to cough, “Okay, okay!” She huffed, though a real smile formed on her lips.

“All of the paparazzi are already out there… I can’t even come home without them following me.” The girl shook her head in frustration, “It’s just so unfair!”

“Vee, Eevee!” The small Pokemon exclaimed, placing a paw over the girl’s hand.

She rubbed its head gently, nodding as it spoke, “I guess you’re right.”

While Aria couldn’t actually tell what Eevee was saying, she liked to think she could understand a bit, and right now it seemed her partner was giving her a much needed pep talk. It was a thing that would usually happen in situations like these, when Aria would get anxious. Whether it be arriving at a new place or when she was about to go onstage, a quick hug and a few cries from her Eevee were the only things she and her team knew could make her feel better.

The Pokemon smiled proudly, sticking its chest out as the girl explained that it was right and with a chuckle, Aria scratched under its chin.

“Thanks, Eevee.”

With that, Aria’s security guard, Matt, came rushing in and explained it was time to get off and handle the paparazzi. Her manager, also known as her father, wasn’t far behind.

“Alright babe, this is it! The biggest concert in the world and you’re headlining!” He began excitedly, Aria only deadpanned as she waited for him to continue. Clearing his throat, the older man did so, “We’re gonna let them snap a few pictures of you and Eevee, kay? You can talk to five, and only five, reporters. Just pick the ones that look like they won’t twist your words.”

The girl scoffed, “Oh yeah Dad, let me just use ESP to figure that out.”

With a deep breath, her father bent down to eye level, “We’ve all worked very hard to get you here, Ria. It would be terrible for now to be when your anxiety and…. anger issues get the best of you, mmkay? So be a good little girl for Dad and show them your sunshiney demeanor that we all love.”

Though she wanted to snap, and almost felt like she would, Eevee did it for her when it tackled her father in the gut, causing Matt to catch him as the two fell into the seat beside her. Aria held her tongue, but laughed as it happened, giving her partner a small high five with one finger to its entire paw.

“That Eevee is a menace.” Her father sneered, slowly standing up.

With a gleam in its eye, Eevee turned to the man once more, gearing up for an attack before Aria sighed and stood, picking it up with her.

“Sunshine Aria, ready to go.” She said in a higher pitched voice, though her fake smile remained as she pushed past the two men towards the plane stairs. "Just remember, today is mine. I'm meeting up with Elio and I don't want to be followed." She glared back at the two.

She stood at the top, waiting for the door to be opened for her as Eevee nuzzled against her arm. With a small hint of a grin, Aria patted its head once more, stepping out of the way as Matt came to open the cabin door. She nodded silently in thanks, taking a step outside and immediately being met by the flashes and screams of paparazzi.

“Here we go again.”

The reporters felt like an endless mob, and the people were asking for selfies after they had already taken them. With quick smiles and a tighter hold on her Eevee she looked around for the familiar face she'd been hoping to see, trying to push her way through the crowd. Finally, her eyes landed on her friend from childhood, Elio and her eyes sparkled, letting eevee drop and follow her as she ran to him. Though, she let her anxiety get the better of her as she stopped just inches away, causing her small partner to run into her legs.

With a gasp, she turned around and apologized, "Sorry, love." She chuckled awkwardly before turning to the boy, "Hey stranger."

"Yawn-"

Ezian stretched as he walked out of the hotel, his back and limbs still a little aching from the plane ride the previous day. The finances department really put him on a flight that landed in the middle of the night because everything else was overbooked, even though he had to get up in the morning anyways. The dark circles under his eyes seem to be even more pronounced than usual, a Lycanroc strolled up beside him and nudged him in the leg, a vibrating cell phone in its mouth.

"Oh what? Oh, thanks buddy." The young man ruffled his Pokemon's stoned dotted fur pelt and picked up the call while strolling down the streets. It was one of those strange missions, there haven't been reports of particular threats to the region of the festival, but Ezian supposed that these international events would always warrant some sort of security. The local police and good-willed trainers tend to get stretched a bit too thin. It wasn't bad to do a more chilled-out job once in a while, he has been overexerting himself after all.

"Yeah I arrived last night- yeah yeah I slept, don't worry about it. What do you mean I sound tired? It's probably because I just woke up-"

"I'm getting breakfast right now, no I'm not skipping any meals, you always worry too much."

Ezian walked onto the bustling festival-ready streets as he continued to phone call, his family always worried too much about him, what was the worst thing that can happen anyways? "Uh huh- uh huh. It can't be helped the 2:00 AM flight was the only one left." He replied half-heartedly as he looked around for some nice local dishes that he can try before getting down to work, there were sure a lot of tourists around, people raising their cameras up high and children running ahead as they squeezed between adults, smaller Pokemon rolled down the hilly streets. Lycanroc was a pretty big Pokemon, considering how crowded the streets were, it brushed up against Ezian's leg trying to get out of the way of other pedestrians.

This bumbling peacefulness continued until something unusual caught Ezian's eye, it was a man that bumped into a wealthy-looking middle-aged lady. He quickly apologized and hurried on, but the angle and gestures of the encounter were all too familiar. "Uh, something came up just now, I got to go work, sorry mom talk to you later." With a soft 'click' Ezian hung up the phone call and sped up his walking pace to tap the man on the shoulder.

"...Excuse me sir, would you kindly return what you took from that lady?" He asked with a slight smile, but his clear blue eyes were cold as the ice being hurled around in festival soft drinks.

"W-what?" The man stuttered a bit. "I don't know what you're talking about." He slapped Ezian's hand off and turned around, speeding up his pace. However, a large fluffy Pokemon blocked the way. The Lycanroc growled a bit as its tail perked up. Seeing this, the man sped up again into a run, trying to maneuver past the Pokemon blockading the way. Ezian sighed deeply and gave the Pokemon a quick look, it nodded back.

With a flurry of dust the wolf-like Pokemon charged ahead and once again blocked the man's way, catching up to the human in almost an instant. Ezian himself stepped up with a few running paces and hopped off of one of the staircase railings in a nearby alleyway. He tripped the man still surprised at the appearance of the Lycanroc and grabbed his arm while he was off-balance, twisting it back at a particular angle. A small leather wallet fell out of the man's sleeve, it was lined in fine velvet and decorated in a few glistening pearls, clearly clashing with the man's general appearance.

-----------------------------

"Don't worry about it ma'am, that's what us police officers are supposed to do. Just watch out for pickpockets around tourist attractions, this type of thing happens a lot when it's busy." Ezian smiled as he returned the wallet to the middle-aged woman. Although he usually dealt with much bigger things, he wasn't against helping out when he could. The woman thanked him once more and went off on her way down the street, leaving Ezian and his Pokemon behind.

"Huh, what is it boy?" Kneeling down and ruffling Lycanroc's pelt again Ezian noticed the Pokemon's sitting posture was a bit strange as it wiggled its nose. It nudged Ezian on the hand with its snout and paw. "...Ah, I see." Ezian rubbed his fingers together and looked at the powdery substance on it. "Let's not jump to conclusions, rare candy powder in small amounts isn't an issue, I'll have to file a report to see if we can investigate anything later, okay?" He patted the fluff on his Pokemon's head again and stood up, continuing his sightseeing stroll of Delphia.

Three days have passed since he arrived on Santoris and he could say that he has been doing nothing during that, well besides reading some medical books, some of which he had read when he was still studying with his mentor. “Kir… Kirlia.” He turned and looked at his Partner Kirlia, who was currently dancing around Mimikyu. He had fed her earlier so he wasn't sure if she was hungry, Mimikyu looked stressed out, something he couldn't blame on the little pokemon. Now that he thought about it, he hasn't left the rented room ever since he arrived, having decided to read about what the region was all about… He almost regretted having decided to come to the region but the festival did sound somewhat intriguing. “Come back to your Pokeball, I feel it is time to at least explore the area.” saying that, he recalled both of them back into their Pokeball and exited the room. He started walking to the pokemon center to retrieve his Chansey, who had decided to help out the Nurse joy. Why you may ask? Maybe she wanted to help out injured pokemon instead of being stuck inside the room and watching Clover and Luna mess around. As he walked, Luna came out from her Pokeball and started dancing, making him almost want to sigh but he kept his stoic face. Maybe he should head over to the garden after getting Bubbles. Nah he didn't want to do that. As he entered the center, he saw Bubbles still working hard like always. When Nurse Joy saw him, she smiled but didn't say anything and returned Bubble Pokeball to him. With the Pokeball in hand, he walked toward Bubbes, who stopped to look at her trainer. “Come on Bubbles, it's time to go.” When she heard that she nodded and returned to her Pokeball. With that done, With that out of the way, he decided to call his parents. Ring once, twice, three times. He was about to end the call, he heard his mom answer from the other end of the line. “Hi, honey, why didn’t you call us when you arrived at Santoris. You need to enjoy this vacation or Travis will be upset that his older brother became such a workaholic.” “I'm gonna send the call now.” Which he did, he didn’t wanna hear anything from his younger brother. That kid was a genius but annoying and egotistic. Honestly, it reminded him of someone but he couldn't quite put on who it was. He turned to Kirlia who seemed like she wanted to tell him something but didn't.

Dilan Taylor

“Weeeeeeeeeee.” Dilan felt happy as he run around the ship that was sailing toward Santoris… Huh???? Why was he heading to that region again… “Chubbs, why are we hedging to the region again?” He questioned his Snorlax. Wait a damn minute, where was Chubbs?? “Oh no, Chubbs has been pokenap. Time to investigate.?” Dilan began to look around for the perpetrator that had decided to kidnap his Snorlax. The first place to investigate was his room but the only one there was Legion who decided it was a good idea to try and scare him. No, he did not jump and scream like a Lil girl… He hit his head on the door as he tried to run away from the said devil. “Owie, my face. Why did you do that?” Of course Legion wouldn't answer at all, all it did was chuckle and go back to doing whatever it was doing. The second place to investigate was the restaurant. Nope, Chubbs wasn't there… Hmmm, now this is mysterious. Huh, why are angry kitchen workers looking like they were watching something horrifying? Heading to see the commotion, what he saw didn't surprise him at all. Chubbs was in the kitchen eating the food, ready or not, without a care in the world. So the big guy wasn't pokenap… But he saw how either they were angry or afraid. So without anyone noticing, he recalled back Chubbs into his Pokeball and left. Nope, he wasn't gonna pay that money, he only had enough for the trip and that was it. Once he heard the announcement that the ship has arrived, he did the first thing he wanted to get once he got off. HE WENT TO BUY SWEETS. HELL YEAH.

After buying his sweet, he did what any other person would and went to challenge some random trainer. Said trainer had used his Scizor but Chubbs dealt with the bug steel pokemon when using a flamethrower. “Man I’m bored, what can I do???” So he co continue doing what he wanted to do and kept on battling random trainers while finding a new place. As he put one of the sweets in his mouth, his face twisted from happy to disgusted as the flavor was sour instead of sweet. “Noooooooo, this isn’t sweet, it’s sour.” But instead of going to complain, he gave the sweets to Chubbs while calling out Honey the Teddiursa. “Hiya Honey, Do you wanna eat?” Chubbs perked up at this while Honey nodded. A few minutes later, when the food came out, both pokemon faces went from excited to horrifying. Dilan food looked like it could kill someone instead of looking tasty. “Come on, taste..” He didn't get to finish as HOney got on top of Chubbs and somehow someway, Chubbs started running away as if his life depended on it. Maybe it did but Dilan didn't know. So he started chasing after them, kinda hard since Snorlax look like a speeding bullet while it ran and threw anyone out of the way while it run. Eventually, he caught up to them, almost falling to the ground but instead fell on top of Chubbs who was also on the ground while looking up. “I wonder if ill can meet Blooming Rose someday while here.”

It was early morning by the time the boat was docking and dropping off the passengers. One very eager Elias was bounding down the steps as one of the first passengers to set foot on the island paradise of Pythiana. With a backpack that was almost as tall as he was he confidently strode into the port. As he was grinning like an idiot the first thing that caught his eye was a sign for the beach. He knew that wherever you can find people you can find food. He knew that he had to try whatever this new region had to offer and then make it better. Tightening the straps on his shoulders he took off like a bullet.

It didn't take him long to reach the popular tourist destination. This early on people were still arriving and getting set up which made looking around unimpeded quite a simple task. Elias quickly found the object he had desired, palm trees. An entire row of them even! Today was his lucky day. He jogged over to the nearest one and set down his pack. He brought out his close friend Kale the Scyther and smiled brightly. Proudly he announced - "Alright Kale it's time for Operation Fly! That's our target" -pointing at the oddly shaped green coconuts.

With a sigh Kale agreed and knew what this meant. Putting both claws out he put one on top of the other and lowered them until they were about a foot off the ground. Elias hopped up and landed on the claws. Kale's claws dipped under the new weight but, as they had practiced before, came back up to toss the trainer through the air. Smacking soundly high on the tree the young chef merely had to climb a small distance before he reached the top of the tree and his prize. This was a good start.

Jet Portrait Disinterested.pngThis had to be the last day of Jet's first week in Santoris. He'd woken up a few minutes now, and they were just enough to get him up. A quick cup of coffee to get him going, and he hadn't wasted any time chugging it down like the monster he is, before he went straight to phone calls. "Yeah, I know. I've got it, I'll tell you if I see anything interesting...", he nodded along to whatever he was being told by the man on the phone, yawning and looking down at his belt lined up with the three Pokeballs he had in his possession, one for each of his party members. "I'll be fine. Just tell me if you need anything... Yeah, yeah, got it.", he sighed dismissively and hung up, putting his phone back in his pocket. And so, he took his pair of wireless earbuds out of his pocket, slapping both on and sticking a hand in his coat's pocket before exiting his room.

For how thoughtful he had been, it was godlike luck that even a week before the festival's start, he'd managed to get an apartment rented all to himself. So now he got to enjoy the luxury of having to look after a new home all on his own, while everybody else was... usually, cared for by whatever hospital they stayed in. Not his problem, anyways. He took his phone out of his pocket as he entered the busy streets just to hit play on his music, letting the metal tracks blare through his earbuds. Maybe a bit too loudly, he thought as he lowered the volume, humming and walking around. This time, he wanted to keep a low profile and avoid fights, as much as he could. As such, he made sure to take his pair of glasses along with himself, wearin them to soften his facial features a bit and ease up the cocky look on his face a little.

"... Garden should be... this way.", the blond went in the back of his head and wandered around the busy streets, slipping through whatever alleyway and walking past all the cafes until he started to see a crowd of tourists. Although the garden appeared to be closed off, it was there alright. A glimmer took over in Jet's eye for a minute, as he smiled with dubious intent. "... Celebi, huh?", he trailed off in the back of his mind, trying to blend in with the crowd and cut in line a bit to get as good a look as he could of the Garden of Harmony. With his height and how little he wanted to be forceful, he ended up getting shoved all the way back to where he started, accepting that he'd have to return later... maybe it'll be less packed in the evening.

He decided to look around the main streets a bit more, slipping his other hand in his coat's pocket and going back to humming along to the music in his ears as he strolled around and looked at the cafes, seeing couples talking with one another, friends planning their next destination, and trainers playing with their Pokemon. Jet would have taken the time of day to think about how stupid that all was, if he hadn't gotten distracted by the song's lyrics.

You want this power, then come try and take it. ♫

With a scoff to himself, he focused back on the street and kept walking down, paying attention to none other than himself. "Yeah, gotta get stronger first. I'll need to fight everyone I see tomorrow, funny enough. And then...", his mind trailed off once again as he simply smiled, continuing his walk down the street peacefully and with that look of arrogance plastered on his face once more. Sheer, unfaltering confidence in himself- that's the trait that defined Jet the easiest to anyone who saw him. "Let's do this right."

Sylvie Vanderbilt ♡ Location: Pythiana Island ♡ Interactions: N/A

Dingalingalingaling~ Sylvie's eyes softly opened as she heard the ringing of her wake-up bell, one of the villa's maids standing in the doorway of her room. She removed the plush sleeping mask from over her eyes and sat up, yawning daintily. What a day yesterday had been! She had gotten into Delphia Island late last night-- flying in on a private jet, of course-- and had to take a boat in order to make it to her family's villa. No one lived her for most of the year, but there was always staff on call in case one of the Vanderbilt's decided to take an island vacation on a whim.

"Thank you, dear~ You may leave~" she called to the maid before rising out of bed. She wore a nightgown, her elegant curls pinned up in rollers so that they'd be ready for another busy day-- well, another day, in general. This trip was supposed to be about ~relaxation~ after all!

In the corner of the room, Belle the Persian was asleep on her cat bed, while her other three Pokemon were sleeping peacefully in the garden of the large villa. Her staff would take care of them, but she always wanted to feed Belle herself. She got down on her knees, giving the sweet kitty head scratches and kisses.
"Well, aren't you just a little Pecha Berry~" she cooed, a smile on her face that only her Pokémon could give her.

As she scooped the premium Pokémon food into Belle's sterling silver bowl, Sylvie thought about what she would do that day. It was so odd not to have an entire itinerary laid out for the moment she woke up... It had been so frightfully long since she'd had a day to herself, much less an entire vacation! Luckily, her villa was right on the beach front, so she could muse over what to do that day. She had heard that there was to be a battling competition on another island. Perhaps she could make her much-anticipated return to the battling scene~? She'd have to send one of her staff members to enter her. Certainly the lines were dreadfully long!

She walked into the ensuite bathroom and took the rollers out of her hair, letting those long, golden curls cascade down her back, beginning her absurdly long beauty routine, of which the details I will not bore you with. But just 2 short hours later, she was ready for her day! Her curls were tied back into a high ponytail, a large, blue ribbon tying it together. Her outfit was significantly less-extravagant than the dresses she usually wore: a frilly blue two-piece bathing suit, with a light-blue cover up to match, along with a pair of wedge sandals. And, of course, a full face of makeup. She wasn't actually going to swim.

Before exiting her room, Sylvie put Belle into her Pokéball, putting it in her beach bag to come alongside her. She walked out of her room and down the villa's grand staircase, greeted by one of her maids and butlers. "Oh, bonjour, monsiuer and mademoiselle~" she said in that girly, sickly-sweet voice of hers. She just had to show off her Kalosian heritage, even to her staff. "Could one of you please sign me up for the little battling tournament that's happening on Athenia right now? I'll be using all four of my Pokémon."

Sylvie opted for a light breakfast that morning: a simple Nanab Berry, that she ate as she walked out of the back of her house, through the garden, and down to the beach. "Isn't it a lovely day, mon cheri~?" she asked as she passed by Rex, who had been nipping at one of the leaves of the large palm trees. "Why don't you come with me down to the beach? You could use some time in the sand," she said, scratching his hard, rocky chin as he lowered himself down.

Sylvie released Belle from her Pokéball as well, the trio walking down to one of the calmer, more tucked away beaches on Pythiana. Surely everyone on the beach noticed the thudding footsteps of the Tyranitar walking behind Sylvie. She grinned, her pearly whites beaming as she could feel every eye on the beach on her. "Bonjour, tout le monde~" she said, giving a cute little waggle of her fingers. What a gorgeous day this would be!

Well, being here for this week wasn't exactly the best idea.

The eccentric, rich, young man - Reginald clad in his casual suit with a Munna perched atop his head, a Shedinja in his pocket, and a glittering, Shiny Haunter hovering above him - set his sights for an island. Well, there were four of the huge landmasses, but that didn't stop him! On the first day of the week, he found himself on Mykora Island. He realized he was on the wrong island when he saw the stand nearby the docks that said "Welcome to Mykora" in big letters. However, that's when he did some snooping. Apparently, it's where the contest was being held. However, the start of the whole festival wasn't actually going to start for another week. A little upset, he decided to stay within Mykora before he felt a curious pull towards another island as the sights were soon growing on him. Taking another boat, he arrived on Athenia where there was the stadium. Of course, it was only two days before the start of the festival. A line was already building up into the Pokemon Center on one side, however. Being one of the first forty people, he waited in line, even sleeping in line and having his Pokemon stay for him when he needed to get food or run somewhere. Finally though, he was able to sign in, putting in that he was going to use three Pokemon in the fight, and then signing up with his three Pokemon for the contests.

With a couple days to spare, he took a boat that he was supposed to go to Delphia. However, he arrived on Pythiana Island instead and got hopelessly lost, using Delphia's directions and getting lost within the residential section of the island. He finally made his way to a beach where an admittedly cute young local with blue hair directed him to Delphia, even giving him a map and giving him a ride on his Lapras.

Finally, Reggie was on the correct island, and he was able to traverse it fairly easily. Being gifted a map by the mysterious lifeguard, the rich blonde wandered around, burying his nose in his map and bumping shoulders with others as he walked by when his Haunter didn't give him a wide enough berth, uttering apologies as he did so. He didn't know where he was going, he was just going by where his Munna leaned. Unfortunately, the Haunter realized something was wrong. The map was upside down. Taking the map from the man's hands and setting it right-side up back in his grasp, the young man sheepishly smiled and thanked his Pokemon.

"Now, where is the Pokemon Center...?" He mused, only to look up from his map. That was when he noticed a very large crowd by a plane. What? Confused, he looked around.

"Huh... It's the airport. Wait... How many lefts did I take? Where did I turn wrong?"

His Munna cooed, her eyes staring directly at the crowd. His Haunter merely grumbled, crossing his disembodied hands together as if he were crossing his arms and his gaze was half-lidded in mild irritation. Reggie just waved his hand nonchalantly as he continued to stare at the map.
"Hey, it's okay, Emeric. Besides, I think we'll be fine. Being wherever we are. Oh, the Pokemon Center is technically nearby. Okay!" Crushing the map in his hands, he pointed comically as if he were an action hero at a random direction that was dubiously the right one. "Let's go! We'll get there before dinner, at least!"

He swore he heard all of his Pokemon audibly groan.

That was when he thought he caught something at the corner of his eye. Blue hair...

The walking suit-and-tie peered through the crowd from quite a distance, trying to discern if what he saw was real and if that indeed was the mysterious blue-haired lifeguard who helped him into Delphia yesterday.

Just...
Where was he? In all the hustle and bustle, it was nearly impossible to see, but he can at least make out reporters were here. Was he famous? Was he with someone who was famous?

He had to investigate, but his Haunter grabbed his arm and growled, the gaseous hand feeling cold even through the fabric.
"What? Oh, you hungry?" He asked, with Emeric nodding. "Well, we'll eat once we figure out what's going on." With another growl, Emeric tugged harder. Reggie simply stared lazily at his floating body of a Pokemon. "You know, this looks like a random Ghost-Type is accosting me." Emeric made a lip movement that looked like 'food'. "We'll get food in a second, just let me see who this is." Emeric was not having it. His eyes began glowing blue and Reggie looked away. "Agh! Don't use Hypnosis on me!"

It was certainly going to be a long day today.

Wii Theme But Its The Worst thing ever made

Her green orbs flickered over the figure that had caused her such a reaction, he had bright hair, was bright in general, her wide eyes scanned him, Pokémon, two of them, were at his side, she felt her own weak pokemon stuck to her skin almost feeling as if it was melted onto her like a piece of tar or a baby Muk, it was this damn heat, she couldn't take all this when it was so houndoomishly hot.

She shifted uncomfortably for a moment prepared to bolt at any moment, but also aware that she wouldn't get far if the crowd had anything to say about it. Panic rose in her throat and more tears threatened to water her face, this was just an awful start to her day, any day outside for Ivy could have that title honestly, and while she knew that intrinsically it was a whole other matter to experience it for real.

He said a string of words that she was panicking too much to decipher, she flinched as he pressed something cold to her forehead closing her eyes reflexively, "Ehu!" another noise of surprise slipped through her lips before she peeked out of her lids, it was... An ice bag? She was confused and could only wonder why one would have such a useless item on them and why - Annnd she was leaning into the ice already.

What? this place was so so hot and the cold was... nice, "Hmmnnha" She muttered quietly, her body relaxing, practically rubbing her cheek on the ice, she noted his words absentmindedly and responded, "Dont think so..." She blinked, pale, she frowned, shoving her face in her hot scarf, her quiet words muffling, "M'not." She wasn't that pale... right? At least not that pale, was she weirdly pale? Was she freakishly pale? Was she going to stick out like a sore thumb, were people going to come up to her like this person? Oh no, oh no.

She sniffed and rubbed her eyes absentmindedly, leaning into herself as if she was trying to fold herself so small that not even a Flabébé could see her, this now self-proclaimed 'Kasey' paused for a moment and she caught a breath thinking, finally, he's going to leave me be! ...Before he started asking rapid-fire questions, she made another odd noise and gulped, well, it would be better to get this over with and answer his inquiries.

"Ivy." She squeaked, "Ivy Farchild." Her finger wrapped around a strand of her long back and hot hair, this weather really wasn't suited to her, "...From Sinnoh, Snowpoint City." Her voice got progressively smaller as she talked and she fidgeted more, she didn't know where a pokemon center would even be! She hadn't been in one since she was six, how would she know? There were all these people around and she couldn't do anything about it. She was just going to go to her motel and sit there all day, she...

Tears began falling down her cheeks, really it was only a matter of time, she was already overwhelmed, "Wha- Where is a pokemon center? Why would I know that?" Her voice shook as tears rolled down her eyes, as it all washed over her, "Today was the first time I've b-been outside in months! Why me? Where am I? What am I doing..." She paused to sniff loudly, now talking to the stranger without a second thought, "I don't even know how to use a Pokemon center, Kasey...!" She confessed in a warbly but quiet voice, still crying.

Jinx, was understandably annoyed by this, popping out of the now wet scarf it let out a cry at her, almost as if hissing at her, she flinched away, "S-Sorry." She squeaked.

Kasey rolled the shoulder of his free arm for a moment to pass along the silent instruction that Slakoth had to find a different place to cling to. Which the Pokemon did, albeit with reluctance. Letting out a disapproving noise as he dragged his body over to Kasey's back. Taking up the remaining free space next to the backpack already there. Using the reclaimed mobility of his free arm, Kasey brought his hand to the back of his head and ran his fingers through the lavender locks. Scratching his head all the while still keeping his other hand steady in place for as long as this girl deemed it necessary to nuzzle the crushed ice.

He was learning nothing about her situation from the odd mannerisms and disjointed responses – the majority of which barely classified as words. Until she provided an answer that would cross delirium off the board. Her name and hometown. “Ivy from Snowpoint.” He repeated the words back at her and moved his arm from his head towards the shoulder of this Ivy girl. He placed it on there and patted it a few times as a gesture of reassurance. “That's good! Very good! Don't worry, we'll sort this out. Definitely!

There was no guarantee he would sort this out with this girl, but right now reassurance seemed better than telling her the truth. That truth was that he himself had no idea where he was going with this either. Think Kasey, think! “I know what'll make you feel better,” he exclaimed with revived confidence after a moment of thought and snapped his fingers, “hold this for a moment.” He took the liberty of taking one of Ivy's wrists in his hand and brought it up to her face. Placing her own hand against the bag of crushed ice.

Back home, I have a younger sister who has some similar issues you do.” The words didn't mean to sound blunt, but Kasey was never one for finesse. He lowered his arm to let the shoulder strap of his backpack slide down over it. Landing in his waiting hand. “You're probably just anxious or something, right? Or stressed maybe? With that rambling, you sound it anyway.” He knelt down and set his bag down on the ground. An action which immediately drew the attention of his Pokemon, as Slakoth began leaning forward over Kasey's shoulder, and Snover already had to be pushed away before she'd dive face-first into the bag. “It's not for you two, what are you Mandibuzz?” he scolded the two greedy Pokemon for their behavior as he rummaged through his belongings. Searching for something that would supposedly aid in the situation. “Here we go!” Kasey exclaimed, visibly glad he was able to locate the bar of dark chocolate as he waved it in front of Ivy. “Take it! They say it helps with stress and such. And, after you calm yourself down just a little, we can go look for a way out of this crowd, together.

This is what he suggested before taking a look around their surroundings. This girl had done a fine job getting herself stranded here, but nothing he couldn't lead them through. However, only after this Ivy girl calmed down a little. Dragging her along in a state like this would only lead to more panic, no doubt. “Say,” Kasey mused, shifting his attention from the crowd towards Ivy once more, “is your...” He paused, pondered, sighed, and finally pulled out his Pokedex to run a quick scan of the hissing dishrag floating around Ivy. “Is your... Shuppet doing alright? Seems agitated about something.

Don't get him wrong: Elko was expecting to be apprehensive, but he didn't expect to feel utter regret when he stepped foot onto Santoris.

It was... different. To different, if you asked him. The festival was already in full swing, with the chattering of passing patrons and the chirps and bellows of Pokemon. He almost booked a ticket back to Johto then and there, but knew that...

He thumbed the locket on the side of his clothing, wrapping his hands around it tightly. He felt Aiko Jr. wrap his tail around his leg, and ran his fingers across his soft fur.

"All for Aiko, right?" He straightened his expression into a friendly grin, just to look more approachable. "I suppose we should start looking around."

Earlier, Elko had checked into his rooms, where he'd left all but Aiko Jr. to rest their heads. He was surprised Aiko Jr. didn't do the same, but he'd always retained the same voltage as his trainer. In a way, Elko appreciated it. He'd gone through brochure after brochure to make sure he wouldn't get lost on the wide island, much larger than his hometown. Aiko Jr. was there just for extra directions.

Arceus, it'd been the first time he'd left in...

He remembers his parent's shock when he suggested bringing himself back into the world. He'd even said he was prepping himself to reopen his gym, but just needed to get used to it first. He'd attended such a large festival, failing to realize what he deemed "exposure therapy" most likely should have been dealt with in small doses.

"Why don't we get some food first, hm?" Aiko Jr. happily chirruped. "I wish Elias was here to make us some. I'd rather not spend so much cash, but..." Elko winced as he remembered his disastrous attempt at curry in the hotel. "I think we'd both rather it not come to me trying another meal."

Aiko Jr. gave him a good shock for that one.

    "Ow!"

"Ugh, That’s the time I fly again" Kira grumbled, shaking her head as she crossed her arms against her chest. Glaring at anyone who dare spare a glance towards her direction or her the rather happy Mareep bouncing along cheerfully behind the irritated girl. A soothing bell jingled which each step the happy electric sheep took. Kira huffed as they maneuvered between the swarms of people who had gathered for the multi day festival, not really paying attention on if she might have bumped into anyone. She was not in the mood for this event, but then again when was she ever not in a mood and she needed food. Having only arrived a few hours prior to everything after getting quite caught up in a few cramped flight delays, and some layovers just to reach her destination. Plus, with the vain of her luggage being placed on the wrong plane! Such a great travel experience. At least her room was decent, and her luggage would be arriving there later this evening.

All for an adventure Kira totally didn’t even want to be on! Yet her mother didn’t give her much of a choice about the whole situation. Seemingly wanting the cream haired girl gone, for a while. You get into a polite conversation one too many times with one the neighbors and suddenly you’re being shipped away like a cardboard box! It wasn’t like she was trying to insult their grandmother who had just visited for the first time in ages, or her rather questionable cooking. It just sort of happened though. Shame the grandma couldn’t take Kira’s honest opinion over the simple fact that it looked weird. Though the neighbor’s grandmother did eventually have it coming to her after that tricky stunt she pulled in a card game of “go magikarp.” That old lady totally cheated, and Kira knew it! No way she had that many of her cards without it. No matter how many times they tried to defend the old lady, or kick Kira out of their home. She knew that lady was a liar.

Kira puffed her rosy cheeks up that memory. Now what was she trying to do? For she was trying to go out and find this sign up thingy for some battling thing happening on one the other isles, she heard the other tourists mentioning. Though had stormed off before she could learn the directions, because one of them stared at her like a weirdo. So now here Kira is trying to find something she had no idea on how it looked. Totally not mildly lost at all! Who needed directions at all or flyers? Just go where the biggest lines and crowds are right? Maybe she’d find a good place to get something to eat in the hunt too.

“Maaaaaarrreep!” Floofty cheerfully charmed in.

Wii Theme But Its The Worst thing ever made

Tears were still spilling out of her eyes, like a sink that had its water turned on long enough for it to overflow, or a pool that a Wailord had dived into. The stranger said empty words and actions of reassurance that didn't help her feel even a bit better. "No, we won't sort this out! Life isn't fair Kasey! It is an endless void of death and dread and no matter how much we wish it we will mean nothing at the end of all things, Kasey! Nothing!"

Stating that he knew what would stop her tears or at least make her feel a little more all right... Suspicious. What might make him happy could be torture for a girl like her, she opened her mouth for a moment wanting to argue or at least question what exactly he was going to force on her before she flinched slightly as 'Kasey' grabbed her wrist, she attempted to pull away, but with her ridiculously weak grip it would do nothing at all. She screwed her eyes shut, in anticipation and made a small noise, "Ueh!" until she felt her hand on the ice bag, "Ah - Oh." She whispered more to herself than Kasey.

A younger sister? She... Well, she wouldn't know a thing concerning that, she was an only child, and didn't even have cousins... That she knew about at least. He... Well, hopefully, that meant he wasn't some... Evil person, or wanting to hurt her, he had been okay so far... The frowned and her wet face got soggier, as the tears rained down harder as he continued his rabble. She didn't ramble... She was just... highfalutin! ... That was the same as rambling. Fuck.

He scolded the little pokemon from.. something, some item? She couldn't really tell, it was hard to see as it was with her hair, and damaged eye, crying only lead to a worse predicament. The stranger exclaimed loudly and she let out a "Heu!" in response, and flinched away from the rowdy being, peaking her green eye open to see a...? A chocolate bar? What?

You... You don't just give away your snacks, snacks are important things! This person was... generous, yes that was a nice word... Dont call him a fool ivy, that would be impolite. Even if he was one, snacks were so expensive, why would he try and offer them to her, was this something of a ridiculous test? Was she being tricked? She wasn't going to fall for it like an idiot! She would - She yoinked the snack from his hands with as much force as the underwhelmingly weak girl could.

...She couldn't refuse. Ripping it open with such fervor and stuffing it in her mouth, a whole half of the chocolate bar in her mouth, "Hrrmh." Was she odd noise of delight she made and... She had stopped crying, she sniffed, and wiped the wet of her teary face on her scarf, as Jinx yelled at her, hissing and spitting at her.

She relaxed into the wall, "Tha-Thank you... Hic... Sorry about the, endless void of death thing..." Her voice whispered and she flinched as the very angry shuppet bit her ear, her hiccups taking over her frame now that she had stopped sobbing so hard, "Jinx? S-Shes fine." The pokemon exclaimed in annoyance, obviously saying no to that statement, "It's just a - Nmf!" She exclaimed at the angry thing biting into her ear, "S-sorry! Sorry! i... I'll put you back into the scarf?" The shuppet nodded and growled at the person who had helped her before diving and nuzzling into her scarf, she frowned, "Sho-Sorry about her... Hic." She was embarrassed, she nommed on some more chocolate, to calm herself down.

The flight to Santoris felt like walking on eggshells and keeping an Ursaring at bay.

A blonde woman with a hairstyle that definitely didn’t match her profession sat nervously, situated next to the path for flight custodians and other flight passengers to walk through the plane. All her Pokemon were in their confining contraptions, including the one she wished she could hug right about now. Having an electrical mouse live on the plane wasn’t the best decision, so she reluctantly had to put her away for the flight. However, what really worried the grey-eyed researcher was her partner next to her. Reeking of anxiety and cigarette smoke, the historian looked to have nearly lost her wits about her as she sat there, anxiously bouncing a leg against the chair in front of them that held a child, who seemed a bit annoyed as he made those disgruntled child noises they do when exasperated. The blonde wished she could give her friend a pack of smokes, but she’d rather not get duct taped to the chair, and then have her plus one duct taped to the chair, as well…

“Hey, you alright, Annette?” With a calm, soft voice, the relatively younger woman asked the black-haired lady in a soothing tone, hoping that she didn’t set off the poor woman obviously struggling from sitting in the 12-hour-flight.

Annette anxiously sat up from her hunched position, wiping the sweat from her brow and sending a death glare towards the aisle at Naka.

“No... I’m fine,” she seethed through gritted teeth.

Hunching over again, foot tapping an ear-wormy beat into the floor of the plane, Annette squeezed her eyes shut trying to distract herself from her thoughts. It didn’t help that she was a taller than average woman, and the best her sponsors could do was Economy seating, not even business.

Two rows up, an unnamed child had somehow been allowed to let his Whismur loose, and the child and pokemon were practically making more noise than the engines. This had been going on for the last two hours and every attempt Annette had made to minimize the annoyance had failed; she seemed far more sensitive to external stimuli at the moment than usual.

With a frustrated sigh she sat up once more, her handkerchief had long since been soaked through and through and all she had were the leftover napkins from their breakfast. She tried to shift her feet but her knees were already pressing into the back of the seat in front of her.

“Ugh, my legs are gonna cramp if I have to stay like this for any longer. Can you see if the bathroom is free?” she asked Naka.

Nakano sighed and leaned out into the aisle. Just as she did so, she saw someone’s tail end enter the bathroom. With the bathroom taken up and the child and Whismur companion playing and being loud (ideally, who thought it was a good idea to base Whismur’s name on the word whisper? Is that relative to Exploud? She didn’t know), Naka let out an anxious sigh. That’s when she had an idea. She needed to hold something or get her aching, clammy hands to do something, so she looked to Annette with a sheepish smile.
“Well, why not stretch out? As in, like, back against the window, legs resting on me? Should help with your cramping… I could possibly massage them too, if they really are getting sore.” She didn’t know if that was invasive, but Naka was too sweet not to at least help a friend in need, even if the help seemed a bit much.

Annette didn’t need to be told twice, any sort of relief she could receive she was going to take it. Lifting her legs up quick, to the point of almost kneeing herself in the face, she swung them right, plonking her legs down onto Naka’s lap, pivoting in her seat so her back was against the wall.

She shut her eyes and stretched her legs as best as she could, her feet dangling out in the aisle. Opening them she looked at Naka and gave a weak but appreciative smile.

“That actually feels a bit better... Wish we’d thought of it before our trip was almost over,” she mused.

“Ah, that’s good. Glad you’re feeling better.” Naka gave her a bright smile, already feeling much better now that her partner-in-crimeresearch was feeling much better. Wiping the sweat from her hands on Naka’s own legs, she then got the antsy finger aches and began to massage Annette’s legs some, looking almost as if her eyes were boring through several seats in front of her as she zoned out.

A few minutes went by and the descent can be felt as the plane slowly lost altitude. Even the engines weren't as loud as the pilot on the intercom announced they'll be landing in the next twenty or so minutes. Naka sighed in relief, looking back at Annette with a more relaxed smile.
"We're almost there. Oh." An idea hit when she saw that kid with the Whismur get ice cream ahead of them. She lightly tapped on Annette's legs to get them off her lap, ignoring the irritated glances from the custodians as she called one over. "Hey, can we get some ice cream?"

Smiling in a way Naka figured was a bit forced, the woman nodded and made her way to the front of the plane. A minute later, she came back with two cups of ice cream, giving the two to Naka, who then passed one to Annette. "Here you go." She turned to the woman with a smile and thanked her before checking in on Annette. "Hopefully, that ties you over until we land. Then you can smoke all you want." She reassured in a cheery tone, digging into her ice cream and savoring bits of it slowly. While she’d like to eat the rest of it, if Annette wanted some more Naka can just give half of hers up so as to not bother the already agitated custodians due to Annette’s growing apprehensive nature.

“I do not need to smoke!” Annette retorted as she took the cup of ice cream.

She angrily took a bite, savouring the taste for a little bit, letting the flavour wash over her diminished palette.

“I just... don’t like flying. That’s why I’m anxious,” she continued bitterly, taking another bite of the dessert. This was an obvious lie, as Naka knew yet nodded silently anyway. Annette knew what was happening and it was withdrawals. She’d flown to other regions many times, she’d been carried by her Vibrava up mountainsides and cliffs with nary a worry. But this was the longest period of time since she’d been able to smoke. Other flights had been the same and she usually got by with just a patch, but the flight to Sinnoh was half as long as this one.

As she ignored her inner confession whilst snacking on her dessert, the plane successfully taxied in on the runway and reached the docking bay. The child's Whismur had also been put back into their pokeball and the atmosphere was considerably less irritating.

With a sigh of relief the wear seatbelt sign flicked off and the passengers ahead of them began to quickly file out, grabbing their overhead luggage.

Naka quickly got up after finishing her ice cream, standing up to quickly grab their luggage and setting them down, blocking the path for others to get through but she didn't really care all that much. If she had to be the crowd breaker, she would be the Haxorus to do so. After getting her large suitcase and then Annette's luggage, she grabbed her backpack and trainer belt, swiftly putting the belt on then slinging her backpack over, and moving out of the way for Annette to walk through.

As the two got their things and filed as quickly out of the plane as they could, they were finally met with civilization and the ground. Naka practically jogged through the building with Annette in tow, having not needed use for the heavy carry luggage as they passed through and made it outside in the bright rays of Santoris' Delphia Island.

It would be a lie to say that Naka hadn't missed smelling the cigarette smoke, now that Annette could indulge in her habit (and to a small extent, Naka's own). She missed it as much as she missed the ground, the grass, and hearing the Pokemon cries nearby that weren't stuffed inside a suffocating metal tube. Yes, she felt nearly at home here. Maybe with her card, she could buy a small cottage here, but for now, they had the money from Annette's vocational outing for research purposes. While Nakano's family wanted her to relax here, her mind couldn't settle. Already she was interested in the differences in genetics in Santoris' Pokemon compared to the ones in, let's say, Sinnoh or Kanto.

Yes, yes, relax first, but it was just oh-so difficult.

Naka turned to Annette and smiled warmly.
"Well, now that we aren't so cramped, how about we save some of that business money and share a room? It'll be like we're dorm buddies." Naka giggled, finding the prospect nearly adorable.

Annette took a heavy drag from her cigarette before plucking it from her mouth and poking it behind her ear as one would with a pencil. Pulling out a map from her carry on bag she began to examine the area.

“That works for me, actually I’m pretty sure the room they booked for me has a spare bed. I was originally gonna be going with Archie from the R&D department, she’s the one who gave me Tyrunt. But her daughter got the flu and her wife needed the extra hand at home. So yeah that can work for me,” Annette concluded, folding up the map.

“Awe, hope they’re doing okay,” Naka muttered with a pouty bottom lip, though she wasn’t sure if Annette heard that. However, Naka didn’t know Archie or her wife or kid that well, so her sympathy wasn’t exactly as enthusiastic.

From her brief examination of it they weren’t too far from the hotel that had been booked. This was basically a tourist focused island so there were countless hotels throughout the city, there were even piddly little one star hotels right next to the airport. Annette hailed down a cab and instructed the driver on where to go.

As they sat in the cab Annette, taking another drag from her cigarette and exhaling out the window, gave a concerned look to Naka.

“I’m surprised though. Are you telling me you came all this way and didn’t even have a hotel booked yet? It’s not just peak tourist season, it's a once in a lifetime tourist event. Like when all the region champions go to the Battle frontier for a tournament. There's no way you’d be able to stay at anywhere half decent without spending a lot of money,” she said.

Naka giggled, shrugging.
"I'm so busy, I barely have any time to spend on anything for myself. The only things I buy are, like, stuff for my Pokemon, college student level food for myself because ramen still hasn't gone out of style, aaand… Well, besides work expenses and rent and all that. Which isn't too much because I live with my parents. So I have all this money to spend and nothing to spend it on besides bare necessities. If I wasn't certain about you making accommodations or going with someone else before Archie doing family devotions, I would have booked a room earlier. Or forget and do it now. Which… To be frank, it would be the latter, given I've been on a roll the past week forgetting nearly everything, including my pants right before I left home." She giggled sheepishly, scratching the back of her head. "Ever since I started working, I don't have the brain to remember anything else but my job. Is it like that with you?" Realizing she rambled, Naka vowed to herself to stay relatively succinct with Annette.

Annette raised her eyebrows, shifting her gaze towards the pricemeter on their cab, hoping that her partner's confession of “too much money” didn’t wind up with their driver secretly upping the cost of this trip. Fortunately she saw no signs of tampering as the driver pulled over; they really weren’t too far from the airport. Annette let Naka pay, since she was getting free living while here, and the two went inside the foyer.

It was a modest entrance; the building itself was quite a few stories tall and from what Annette had read, had an impressive Penthouse that made this one of the higher end 4 star hotels on the island. The lobby was quite large with some decorative plants and pictures on the walls, there was an attached restaurant with a decent beer garden on the south side, with the hallway to the games room to the north. Annette briefly conversed with the man at the counter, securing two keycards and they were led up to their room.

Unlocking it with a swipe of her keycard, their guide briefly explained the rules of the hotel; room service, cleaning, extra expenses for things like alcohol and movies. After he left, Annette walked over to the balcony, stepping out and lighting up a fresh cigarette. They had a lovely view, it wasn’t directly facing the ocean, but towards the front of the building they had a good view up the thoroughfare.

“Well, the stuffs here now. I want to go pick up a few things. Namely, film. I don’t like using my phone's camera function but I'm fresh out for my polaroids. Want to duck to the corner store with me, or do you want to stay here?” Annette asked, quickly shifting into gear.

Naka had claimed a bed by setting her suitcase atop, and then began to empty out her backpack from all the stuff she didn’t want to lug around. What she ended up keeping was some of her research things, like a notepad, a sturdy personal laptop with a battery pack, some items for blood taking or storing of Pokemon hair/fur/other things that may hold DNA that won’t completely hurt the Pokemon if collected from, and a few other things, such as snacks and water. Of course, she finally took out two of her Pokemon, two bright lights flashing as two PokeBalls opened and revealed a relatively short Pichu with enlarged electrical cheeks and an extremely fluffy and slightly more beefed Flareon. Hugging her Pokemon, who jumped in her awaiting arms, she let out a pleasant sigh and then finally answered Annette’s question.

“Well, I’m coming with. I want to get a camera for sightseeing and stuff. Maybe take pictures of the people I meet here. Besides, I’m done camping out in places, I need to be outside or I’m going to lose it.” With that, her Pichu hopped on her shoulders and Flareon was held snug in Naka’s arms, holding the cute thing to her chest as he hung from her arms like a content plushie, tail slightly wagging. “I’m ready to go.” She said cheerily, looking like she was going to have jittery legs if she didn’t start walking.

Annette looked down at the Flareon in Naka’s arms and grinned.

“You look like a highschool girl who dolls up her pokemon for the school contest,” she teased. Naka just grinned wider at the compliment, though she wished she was brave enough for a school contest.

She hoisted her bag over her shoulder and led the way out of the room, giving the Pichu a little scratch between her ears - earning a squeak of delight - as she walked past Naka. Soon they were back in the lobby and heading outside to the busy street. Everywhere they looked they saw posters, banners, pamphlets and all sorts of advertisement for the festival. Stalls had been set up all along the paths and tourists and locals alike were darting in and out of shops to see the Festival deals.

It wasn’t long before they reached a small PokeMart; Annette was familiar with the type. They were general stores that offered a wide variety of useful items for trainers and researchers, as well. And sure enough they had a photo section; this was the type that both sold disposable cameras, film and had a red room so that you could print your photos before returning home. Grimacing at the no smoking sign on the door, Annette put out the butt on a nearby trash can and flicked it in.

“Alright, what I want should be just in towards the back. I trust you can pay for your own things?” She asked Naka as she stepped through the door.

“Yup-yup, don’t worry about me.” She smiled, dropping her Flareon to the ground so he could walk by her heel. However, the walk to the PokeMart not only was making her tired due to the jet lag, but also her shoulders were absolutely killing her. Her body had gotten so comfortable that the physical stress that she was used to carrying had diminished in its threshold. Sliding her backpack off her shoulders, she sighed as she set it in the corner of the store next to her as she looked through brochures of the island. Apparently, there was a battle and contest that was to happen tomorrow and the day after, respectively. But it was so televised with such a huge crowd, Naka didn’t think she’d be able to join at all. She’d be laughed out as she struggled to make a command and she….. No, she couldn’t, even if she had a competent team for a battle.

Her Pichu looked at the brochures with her trainer while Flareon sat by her backpack, protecting it like the good guard Pokemon he is. That’s when the little yellow mouse saw a Pokemon the clerk had behind the counter. Smiling, she hopped off and balanced along the shelves before hopping on the counter, waving and smiling at the cashier and his Indeedee. The Fire-Type’s eyes widened and, believing that Chu was causing trouble, ran up to jump on the counter, as well. The clerk looked at the Pokemon and waved, with Naka realizing her Pichu was not on her shoulder and somewhere else. Hearing squeaking and grumbling groans from a canid-like Pokemon, she looked over to see both her Pokemon on the counter, and the clerk asking if they were her Pokemon.

“Oh, yes, they’re mine. Chu and Fluffy. Sorry about that, they haven’t seen an Indeedee in a long while.” She whistled them to come back, with Chu hopping on Fluffy to ride while Fluffy hopped off the counter. That’s when he looked back at the corner.

Vacant.

Letting out a surprised yowl, Naka looked down at her Flareon, who ran quickly to the corner where she sat her backpack-

Oh fuck.

Panic surged in her chest, squeezing it tight as she looked around in a frantic dread. “H-Hey, who took my backpack?!” She yelled in near hysterics, only for a few people to point outside.

There was the perpetrator, running off with twenty pounds and possibly priceless invaluable research across the street. Letting out a surprisingly angry
“HEY!”, Fluffy and Naka gave chase, completely ignoring whoever may have tried to talk to her in favor of chasing him down.

Annette looked up from her browsing, she’d gotten distracted from a small tour guide listing some of the sightseeing spots. What had really drawn her in were the little tidbits about the myths surrounding some of the locations, like the Garden of Harmony. However, at the sudden cry from her friend, she put the book down and looked over her shoulder. Seeing the panicked look on the clerk's face, she rushed to the entrance and looked out to see Naka running down the street.

“Damn,” she muttered to herself.

The break in the sea of people had quickly collapsed again after Naka passed through. Annette briefly mulled over bringing out her Steelix to get a clear view of the situation but she hesitated. A Pokemon that big would definitely cause problems, there were a lot of people and a lot of traffic. She scratched her head in frustration but in the end decided to send a text to Naka’s phone, asking if everything was alright, before returning back to her purchase.

“Wait, is her phone in her bag?”

“Fluffy, use Quick Attack! We cannot let him escape! Chu, use Thunder Wave!” Naka ordered. They were still several paces behind and the crook was running through an alleyway. The bustling crowd had moved away to give Naka a wide berth from her yelling, giving her plenty of time to run through. There were still some oblivious passersby that Naka had to practically shove out of the way, apologizing and running as fast as her legs could take her. Fluffy blitzed past in a blur of white light with Chu hugging his collar for dear life, their eyes dead set on the man’s legs.

As they burst through the alleyway and onto a street, there was a well-dressed man with a Lycanroc nearby; Midday form it seemed. The uniform looked familiar to a police officer or something like an agent. Maybe he could help. As Fluffy got near the man’s ankles, Chu jumped forward and let out a weak electrical jolt, sending it into the man’s legs and paralyzing the thief, sending him crashing on the floor as his legs locked up fully extended. He dropped the backpack as he fell as Chu landed on Fluffy’s back and skidded to a halt, and then there was a crunch as the man’s stealing hand was suddenly stepped on. Yowling in pain, the man rolled over and held his hand to his chest, while the floral brown backpack was swiftly pulled up from the floor and slung over the owner’s shoulders.

“Don’t you EVER TAKE MY SHIT AGAIN!! YOU HEAR??” She yelled down at the man, her hands clenched until knuckles were white, body hunched like an angry predator, as it seemed like fire was spitting from her eyes with how furious she was. Taking a deep breath, she stood up, dusted off her thin, black jacket and cargo pants, and looked over to see that uniformed man with a Lycanroc. With a much nicer voice but clearly strained from trying to keep her cool and stable emotionally, she groaned. “Please, can you arrest him for taking my research equipment? I want to charge him for…. Thievery, what-have-you.” Realizing she probably broke the man’s hand as the hand swelled and bruised a nice array of yellow and purple, she winced and furrowed her brow. “Oh… I did it again, didn’t I?”

“Again???” The man on the ground asked incredulously. She’s hurt people before for taking her stuff? What rotten luck he had.

Endless void of death? What did that even mean? It seems he had been mistaken in his assumption that this girl was similar to his sister. Nobody was like her anyway. Luckily, she was still just as susceptible to bribery as she was. Thanks to that the chocolate seemed to succeed where his interpersonal skills would have failed regardless. Calming down rampant emotions had never been his strong suit. The surprising speed at which the chocolate left his hand pulled him out of his musings. As well as allow him to return his hand to the back of his head and scratch through the locks. "Heh, eh, yeah," he paused for a moment and decided to give in to the confusion caused by what he assumed his shortcomings, "yeah, I don't know what any of that means, so don't apologize and I won't take offense."

No offense to that at the very least. However, it wasn't difficult to tell from his expression that something was eating away at him. The imbalanced power between trainer and Pokemon was tangible just from being near this girl and her Shuppet. Could he even convince himself this Pokemon should be considered hers? Without Ivy's commentary, any onlooker could reason she was simply being assaulted by a potentially wild Pokemon. Taking a glance at his own Pokemon for comparison, Kasey noted Snover wasn't sharing his opinion on the matter. Or at least, Snover wasn't paying attention to it and instead seemed to only have eyes for the girl. Unlike Slakoth, who was very much throwing glances at the Shuppet from behind his trainer's shoulder.

"Jinx? Eh, no need," he cut off her second apology and placed his hand over his shoulder for Slakoth to nuzzle in an attempt to stop him from throwing glances, "if you're half as good at walking as you are at saying sorry, we'll be out of this harbor soon. We will sort this out!" Kasey glanced down at Snover and gave the Pokemon a nod in Ivy's direction – another silent instruction. "We should get going, Snover will stay close to you." The Pokemon cried out cheerfully in response. Confident she could complete the task Kasey had given her. "See?"

Kasey picked his bag off the ground and hung the single strap back over his shoulder. He still had no idea where they would be going. Sure, the Pokemon Center, but where would that be? Regardless, he had to pick a direction and start walking. The longer he waited, the more time he was giving this girl to come up with further objections. That simply wouldn't aid in their situation right now. Thus, he began cutting a path through the crowd towards an area that looked like it had a less dense crowd populating it. Having seemingly no objections towards nudging people aside in pursuit of this goal. All the while staying close enough for Snover and Ivy to follow along.

What was his game-plan here? He didn't know Pallet Town would be so populated. If anything, it should be called Pallet City. Pallet Metropolis. Pushing another person aside, he reached into his pocket and took out his phone. It was a long shot, but maybe Elio would know directions to Pallet's Pokemon Center. As the screen lit up Kasey noticed he'd missed a message already. Might as well kill two birds with one stone and respond with a request for directions. Thanks! I didn't know Pallet had such a large harbor either. But I need a favor. You've been to Pallet before, right? Where's the Pokemon Center? Send. Hopefully, Elio would respond soon. Preferably before he'd run out of places to bring this girl along to.

"Whew this feels good" the teen continues to lounge on the chair for the moment on the beach, the waves of nostalgia crash against his brain as he remembered the first meetup with his currently snoozing partner. He couldn't help gazing upon her peaceful form as she dozes, his right hand resting on her side for a second before having the better idea of swaddling her up in a light blanket. As he starts to get up in preparation for a bit of wandering around the rest of the beach, some giant thuds would jar both of them awake, thankfully Andy still had a hold on Aqua so she wasn't sent sprawling anywhere.

"Gah! What the pecha berry?!" he nearly blurts out now looking around for the source of the noise which isn't hard to find given the culprit is a 6-foot tall green mountain of destruction also known as Tyranitar, Andy staring in awe of the pokemon while Aqua would look to the Mountain pokemon and yelp in terror at the big pokemon and cower in fear, Andy just as worried about the pokemon until he saw the trainer with it. " Oh thank gosh someone actually has control over it" he sighs in relief going over to this person now, albeit still a little worried.

"Hello there, today is a gorgeous day isn't it?" he asks this lady with the Tyranitar, "though you kinda woke up my little Azurill here" he chuckles a bit nervous about how the two would react especially the giant dinosuar pokemon, Another look around would reveal a person with a Scyther getting some coconuts, the human climbing a tree. For now, he would just watch as he comes back down with a coconut, the blue mouse still worried about the giant rock type looming over them.

Elias had managed to drop the coconuts from the row of trees that were there. As the coconuts were dropping Kale did his best to open up the backpack and place them inside as best as he could. Easier said than done as the traveling bag was typically stuffed to the brim with everything from ingredients to everyday necessities. As he was making room he found some loose rope and he pulled it out of the pack. Only 2 coconuts were able to actually fit properly, the rest of them Kale made sure to keep them together in a pile next to the rope.

Proud of his hard work Elias came down to inspect his bounty. Upon noticing the pile and the rope he got to work on tying it all together while muttering “Geez Kale, you really couldn’t fit more coconuts in there? Well whatever”. Looking around he started seeing more interesting people arriving and hanging out around the beach. He swore that he even saw a Tyranitar following someone around. Sweat beat down his brow after he was done with the rope and he looked back at Kale with a mischievous grin. Kale tilted his head in confusion while Elias continued to say “Alright you know what beaches have right? Seaweed! If we’re going to make some great food that will definitely be a perfect ingredient to count on. It’s time for Operation Fly me to the Ocean”.

Kale got set up one more time to launch the eager chef into the beach away from beach goers. Again Elias jumped unto the claws only this time Kale didn’t have quite the precise aim he was going for and ended up throwing Elias off kilter. The trainer hadn’t noticed as he still managed to hit the water but it was definitely a rougher landing than anticipated. The area was shallower than what he expected and he even managed to hit his butt on the bottom of the ocean. Making the most of where he was he still gathered what little seaweed he could immediately see in this area he was in before surfacing and shouting back “That wasn’t your best throw but come on in, the water’s awesome!”.

As he looked up he noticed just how close he had actually landed. He saw a few figures that definitely got hit by the splash. A lady in a blue swimsuit and a very large, very annoyed looking Tyranitar behind her on one side and what looked like a living cinnamon roll holding an Azurill on the other. Elias’ smile quickly turned to shock as he wildly came forward to the shore, unintentionally splashing more water as he came. All the while saying “Oh my Arceus I’m so so sorry! I didn't mean to do that on purpose I just needed some seaweed and flying through the air is a lot of fun but Kale definitely should have looked at where he was aiming. Duh-buh-um, uh, sorry!”

ELIO || Location: Delphia Airport || Interactions: Kasey Paperface Paperface and Aria temporarybliss temporarybliss || Mentions: N/A.
Ugh, Elio felt like he might be sick, standing in the crowd, waiting for Aria to leave the plane. There were so many paparazzi around and he knew they’d snatch pictures of both him and Aria together. Would he have to say something to explain the truth about his relationship with her? Would the reporters even care that they were just friends? Would him coming to greet Aria at the airport with flowers be taken the completely wrong way? Maybe he shouldn’t have actually asked his mom to help with the bouquet. Maybe he should have told Aria to meet him somewhere else, instead of being here with flowers and looking very obvious. Maybe he could leave before she got out and send her an apology and say that he couldn’t be surrounded by the crowd and-

This wasn’t helping. He really did feel nervous. He inhaled deeply, discreetly, and exhaled slowly, softly. He’d be fine. He would be. He knew that it was better to just ignore the camera and questions. Sometimes give them a tiny little bit, but not enough for the paparazzi to know the truth. He had to remember how his parents handled the press. Poised, focused, confident. He could do that. Well, he could at least try to emulate that, a little bit. Possibly successfully, if he could remember how to be confident, for just a little while.

His phone chimed again and he was surprised he was able to hear it over the crowd. Ah, right, he changed the notification to a really loud ting a while ago. He checked to make sure that Aria was not leaving the plane yet and upon seeing she was not, decided to check the text from Kasey.

Where’s the Pokemon Center in Pallet Town? Uh, there wasn’t one. Elio felt his eyebrows furrow and he clicked the picture Kasey sent him again, squinting at the lighthouse. It really did look like the one in Delphia’s harbor. But there was no way it was. No, it couldn’t be, but this text didn’t make sense either, because Pallet Town did not have a large harbor. Where were there large harbors in Kanto? He tried to remember where the ship had docked when he arrived in Kanto, then it connected. No Pokemon Center when I was there, sadly. You can go see if the lab is there though! It should be a big brick building. But, uh, are you actually sure you’re in Pallet? It kind of looks like you might be in Vermillion City instead, with the lighthouse and the harbor and all that.

The crowd grew rowdier around him. He sent his text quickly then slipped his phone back into his pocket, then checked the bouquet in his hand. It was fine. Not wilted. The paper wrapping was slightly rumpled but none of the flowers were broken. He watched the door to the plane and had to swallow his heart back down to his chest when it opened.

Ah, there she was. There she was. Oh Arceus, his heart was about to explode.

There she was, right there, blonde haired and adorable and searching for something, then seeing him, running over to him, looking excited, then stopping only a few inches from him. He couldn’t contain the easy laugh that escaped him when Eevee ran into the back of Aria’s legs and smiled cheerfully when she said hey. Man, he was excited she was back. He really was. “Hey back at ya, stranger,” he said, poised and kinda confidently, ignoring the flashing cameras. He remembered the flowers in his hand and held them out to her, a soft smile on his face. The paparazzi collectively gasped at the gesture. “I got these for you. Welcome home, Ria.”

Jet Portrait Confused.pngJet's aimless walk continued around the town, until he eventually noticed some shortie exit a clothing store, squinting his eyes. He cocked an eyebrow, knowing their figure looked familiar. It didn't take more than a minute for things to click as they turned around, his eyes going wide as he stopped himself in his tracks out of sheer confusion. "Is that... What's that- the Unova designer. Fuck.", he tried to grind his gears together to remember their name, before it suddenly clicked after squinting his eyes at them a bit. "Ah, Spade. It's Spade. Damn, they're on holidays here?", the blond wondered to himself and took a hand to his hair to slick it back.

Realising he was just standing in the middle of the sidewalk completely still and gawking at the designer, he turned away when Ace seemed to be turning his way, and continued to walk forwards. Not even more than two streets down, he switched from his standard smirk back to a confused, awkward expression. He wasn't sure how to put into words the chase scene taking place before his very eyes. Fully at ease, he watched what looked to be a punk chasing after a guy, although he seemed to be holding some bag in his hands. "..? Did she get hit 'n' run?", he wondered as he ended up witnessing her Pokemona ssault the man, throwing him down and stepping on his hand with a crunch.

At that even Jet winced and turned his head away, furrowing his brows and shaking his head in disapproval. Absolute lack of self control, he thought as he sighed and went back to his merry way. Although this isn't quite what he had intended to do, the path he ended up taking seemed to be going straight for the harbor side of town. He wasn't interested in taking a boat to any of the nearby islands, and having arrived on one he was familiar enough with its layout already. The only interesting part to check in with would be the Pokemon center, in case they mentioned any of the other locations the later days of the festival on some more detailed schedule post or something of the like.

So with one hand in his pocket, changing the tune on his headphones to something more calm and less metal, he kept moving down the busy street, looking around at all the Pokemon walking next to their trainers. A part of him wanted to let his own out as he moved his free hand to feel the Pokeballs on his belt, but another just cared little for the idea.
"Walking won't make them stronger. It'll just tire them out faster, which means less training.", he gave a small nod to himself before he got an idea, his grin growing more mischievious by now. "... Maybe I can find someone in the Pokemon Center to challenge. Strong enough to keep me busy and with recently healed up Pokemon to boot."

As he finished his incredible plan for maximum gains, he knew that at this rate, he'd have a team strong enough to take on the Gym Challenge any minute now. Just a bit more, and his Pawniard would evolve... hopefully. The most important part was getting his Pokemon to be as knowledgeable as he thought himself to be, one trait of his that he actually didn't grossly overestimate for once. During any downtime in the Kalos region when he tried to start his trip back up, he made sure to study about Pokemon as much as he could on his own. Although his situation wasn't simple even back then, he had to make the most of what he could from his time away from home. And now, all he needed to finish catching up was just to get his Pokemon to become even better. Stronger, faster and more battle-ready than ever.

‘Slurpppppp-’

The sound of a straw trying to probe the last of an Oran Pecha Mixed Berry Smoothie was muffled out by the sound of the bustling crowd. Ezian wasn’t sure if this constituted as a meal, but it was the only thing he could find that didn’t require lining up for way too long, drinks were faster than full meals anyways. Lycanroc rubbed up against his leg and curled up, trying to recourse from the overly bright sunlight. But soon its ears perked up quickly and the Pokemon rolled up, slightly grumbling towards a certain direction.

“Huh? What is it?” Ezian narrowed his eyes and took off his sunglasses to get a better look at the direction his Pokemon was directing him towards. A running man bursted out of an alleyway in that general direction, another fluffy Pokemon, Flareon followed. As the Pokemon got closer it was clear that there was a smaller Pokemon too, a Pichu that went ahead and electrocuted the running man. Ezian thought about intervening, it was dangerous for Pokemon to just be attacking humans like that if they weren’t trained for it, but then a woman also popped out behind the man and Pokemon.

Ezian’s eye twitched slightly as he watched, it was one of those things that he probably should look away from but was trained not to. Or maybe untrained people won’t be able to look away either, it was a trainwreck. Perhaps it was his weird staring or the way he dressed that caused the (concerningly violent) woman to notice him.

“Uh…Ma’am…I’m-” I’m not the regional police, this isn’t exactly my job. But Ezian decided to not say it out loud, it wasn’t like he had anything better to do anyways.

“...Alright ma’am, please calm down.” He said after a light sigh and tossed the empty smoothie cup backwards into a nearby trash can. “Please try to be more careful next time, attacking humans with Pokemon shouldn’t be attempted if you and your Pokemon were not trained for it.” He said in a rather calm and professional tone while unhooking a pair of handcuffs from his belt and clapped it around the man. “From what I can gather, he attempted to steal your items, am I correct?”

Nakano, hands still shaking as panic refused to lessen its grip on her chest, stared at who she thought was a police officer or an agent of some kind. Her Flareon stood by her heel defiantly while her Pichu climbed up her leg and sat atop her shoulder, squeaking softly and petting her cheek. Yet, the distraught researcher did not react. She just stared at Ezian when he told her not to attempt attacking humans. She glared at him, but realized her heightened emotional state was aftershocks from having her things stolen. She tried taking deep breaths, and her sighs after came out very shaky. The adrenaline refused to leave her system and she felt like she could jog around the entirety of the island in less than a day from this, no matter how impossible that was.

Clenching and unclenching her hands, she finally got the words to speak, however they were shaky, near panic could be heard as she tried to calm down while talking. If she weren’t angry, she’d have cried as her tone sounded really close to doing so.
“Y-yeah, he uh… Took my life’s work. Research and items I need. And my phone and everything else…” Then, her tone became a bit more solid as she spoke her mind on the previous manner of her Pokemon attacking humans. “Honestly, when you experience one of your greatest fears and your Pokemon do nothing to hurt a human instead and let you do it yourself, I think it’s completely fine, if not a little irrational. Besides, Chu used a weak version of Thunder Wave for humans so the only thing that’s locked up are his legs and it will dissipate in a few minutes. I would never allow my Pokemon to hurt another human unless circumstances deem it necessary. Besides, these two are also used to weaken, but not outright harm, the Pokemon I research so they are plenty capable of holding back when they need to.” Realizing her pitch had risen slightly from passion and slight irritation, she took another deep breath and sighed, her voice still shaky but softer now as she looked away with some regret or guilt flashing on her features. “S-Sorry… I’m just… Shaken up. Didn’t think straight.”

Either way, she did feel bad for hurting the man’s hand. But she wasn’t going to apologize. He should have known better when there were Pokemon around to hold them until humans arrived to take care of them.

Ezian took a deep breath as he grabbed the handcuffed man and pulled him up, he was never good with dealing with distraught victims, that’s why he didn’t take individual cases. It wasn’t ego, it was that he was actually bad at them. Lycanroc circled the man menacingly, its rocky pelt rubbing on his body with the sharp ends out as a warning.

“It’s alright ma’am, you’re not in any sort of trouble, just some advice. I understand you are very stressed right now.” Geez. What should I even say? Ezian thought quietly. Greatest fear, huh? He shook his head a bit to clear his thoughts, can’t just start thinking about your own fears when others mention theirs, not in his line of work. Glancing back at the woman he gestured with his body at her a bit while looking at his Pokemon, the Lycanroc seemed to understand and began to gently brush its pelt on Nakano’s calf. Meanwhile Ezian pulled the handcuffed man over by his uninjured hand and asked sternly: “Is it true that you attempted to steal her items?”

Regardless of what the man answered he also asked the other a question too, “Ma’am, do you need a moment to relax? I may need an eyewitness account and confirmation on the state of your items, if you think you are of condition to accompany me to a regional police station.”

Nakano smiled at the Lycanroc brushing up against her calf. Her Flareon’s fur stood on end, but she let a hand down to scratch the Rock-Type behind an ear, easing the Fire-Type somewhat. Her shakiness lessened considerably, and she was able to sigh a bit easier now. Though, while she was emotionally distraught for the moment, she was still attentive. It seemed like he didn’t know how to handle emotionally ill people and she chuckled out of seemingly nowhere. The man had stuttered out a confusing amount of words at the question, all of which were excuses as to why he did it instead of just a yes or a no.

At the possible need to get an eyewitness account, Naka forced herself to consider this business so she could force a calmer state of being. Running her hands through the shaved sides of her head and grabbing her stripe of a hairstyle, she let go and shook her head.
“I can accompany you now, I think I’m good.” She clicked a few times with her tongue, the Flareon jumping up immediately into her arms as she situated her backpack accordingly and held the Flareon in her arms, the Flareon’s body dangling from her cradled grip. She then walked beside who she presumed was a cop and smiled at him a little. “Thank you. Your uniform looked familiar so I thought you were maybe a cop. Regardless if you are one here or not, thank you. What’s your name, if you don’t mind? I’m Nakano Saito.”

Ezian took a sigh of relief, he was really stiff from the whole ordeal, perhaps the stress was actually getting to him after so many days of non-stop work and travelling. “Reveton, Agent Ezian Reveton of the International Police.” He responded, seeming significantly more casual now, though his wording was still quite formal. “I would be providing you with my code name, but as of right now I do not have a specific assignment.”

He flipped open his cell phone to check for a regional police station, since ever since he got to the place, Ezian never even had time to catch his breath and just check out the local layout. Once again, he questioned whether he's been getting too stressed recently. “This way, there should be a local police station down the street over there.” Ezian reached out his hand to Nakano, “are you alright now? Can you walk by yourself?”

As Ezian introduced himself, her eyes widened and she held her breath. International police? Interpol??? Oh, Arceus, her hunch was right and he wasn’t even on duty. Then why the uniform? She blinked a few times at his providing of a code name. Was Reveton his code name? She would just call him Ezian, though she did have a habit of giving nicknames to those she liked. When he looked at his phone to find the place, she thought he would have already known it was there, given him being an interpol agent. Unless he didn’t have time or has yet to do that yet. She didn’t know how long he’s been here, but when he reached out a hand towards her, she felt confused. Was this a handshake? The purpose of such was odd as they already introduced themselves. Then she realized that the line of questioning he had about whether she can walk by herself hit her and she giggled, taking his hand like with innocent, yet confused glee, squeezing it lightly.

“Well, yes, in some form or fashion. I can walk by myself but uhm…” She looked around, her eyes looking wide, alert, and almost on the fringe of paranoia. “I don’t want to walk alone.” She muttered, almost ashamed at how she sounded right about now. Her Pichu had been staring at Ezian this entire time while her Flareon was getting comfortable, swinging his tail around playfully like a clock. Chu tilted her head, and crawled over on Naka’s other shoulder to get a closer look at Ezian. She blinked a few times before grinning at him and jumping on his shoulder with a squeak, rubbing her head against his cheek. “Awww, she likes you. I think she sensed something from you, I’ve never seen her stare at someone so hard before.”

“O-oh, is that so?” Ezian blinked a few times at the small yellow Pokemon and proceeded to rub it underneath the chin a bit and then up to its cheek pouches. There was the usual static feeling of electric types, but this Pichu also had some pretty puffy cheeks for a Pichu. Nakano mentioned how the staring was unusual. He didn’t think much about it, Pokemon were fickle and temperamental creatures and gaining affinity with them was often a mystery.

As they were walking a low humming sound came rhythmically from Ezian’s phone,
“...excuse me, I might need to take this, it’s work.” He flipped the answer key quickly and held the phone up to his ear.

[“Yoooo- Revy-------!”] It was a super loud voice, Ezian flinched a bit and quickly separated his head and the phone. [“Did you like the flight we got you, it was the only one left!!”] The somewhat high pitched voice from the other end of the call continued.
“No, what do you mean ‘did I like it’, I haven’t slept since the night before yesterday, it was awful!”

“Oh…Uh, sorry about that.”
After noticing that he was still with a stranger, Ezian decided that wasn’t the most professional or polite thing to do, even if it was a phone call with a way too smug coworker. “I’m doing something right now, if it’s about work just spit it out- and she hung up.” Another sigh came out of the young man as he turned the screen of his phone off and slipped it back into his coat pocket. “I’m truly sorry about that, I have some colleagues who can be rather intrusive.”

Nakano smiled as her hand returned to hold her Flareon with a bit more security, feeling a little bit better as her Pichu was getting attention. Chu squeaked softly and delightedly at the petting, choosing to sit on Ezian’s shoulder for a good while now that she received attention. That was when all three heard buzzing and when Ezian answered the phone- Arceus, that reminded her of her colleagues. Clear as day, she can hear the loud voice on the other end and giggled at the nickname and near cackling at his poor sleep. Oh, that hit way too close to home. She struggled to hold herself together and she giggled out a response. “No, no, it’s okay. It was kinda funny. Reminds me of my own coworkers back home. How long did you have to fly? I had to fly to Kanto from Sinnoh to get a friend of mine and then fly twelve hours to get here. Jet lag sucks. I don’t think I can sleep tonight, what with exciting work when I should be vacationing.” Ah, yes, she rambled again, to which she sheepishly giggled, still on that high from hearing the poor man get pestered. “Revy, though. That’s a cute nickname. Might call you that instead of Ezy.” And yes, maybe she was being a bit too friendly, but right now Ezian was helping her and she was now unable to stop the goofy aspect of her personality.

“...Glad to see you seem to be less stressed now.” Only if I could say the same about myself. “I was in Unova for a case, some money laundering scene in Castelia, wrote the report on that while flying to Mistralton, then they sent me here on the last flight at 2 AM in the morning, I basically just landed an hour ago.” Ezian shrugged as they made the last turn to the police station. “You said you have coworkers like that too? I was under the impression that you were a trainer…well, with moves like that. Trainers sure got it good, no office politics or rowdy coworkers to deal with.” He stretched and muttered half to Nakano but also half to himself. “Not that I want to be one, it’s not really the thing for me.”

Nakano giggled at his response to that, finally getting herself together with a clearing of her throat. However, when hearing about the money laundering scene, her eyes widened. Curiosity took hold and she was giving him that same stare her Pichu was giving him earlier. He just got here? Damn, poor guy. Then he asked of her coworkers’ existences and she chuckled sheepishly, way too many embarrassing memories flowing around. His talk of trainers was noted, however, even the muttering. So, seemed like he’s just stressed but doesn’t want anything else different to do, and he sure sounded like her - a workaholic.

“A money laundering case… In Castelia? Why am I not surprised?” She chuckled. “Damn, though, that sure must be rough. An hour ago, huh? I just arrived here around that time myself. But yeah, I work as a researcher in Sinnoh’s Sandgem Town. It’s an honor to work under Professor Rowan, even if I don’t see him too much. Though, I do a lot of journeying, but trouble just is magnetized to me like I got Magnet Pull and it’s a Steel-Type. But I used to be a trainer. Completed two whole gym challenges in Sinnoh and Hoenn, but was um… Well.” She sheepishly looked towards the ground. “When I heard there was an audience for the Elite Four, I uh… Kinda noped out, hehe…” She shivered before getting herself in gear. “Though, you sound stressed. You a workaholic or something? Starting to sound like me with all that work and little time to take care of yourself. When you said you weren’t actively on duty, I thought you were vacationing here.”

“Well…” Ezian didn’t exactly know what to say, workaholic? Was he really like that? A few flashbacks quickly flipped in his head. Of course he wasn’t, was he? “I’m assigned here to monitor the festival, it’s common for Interpol agents to be on scene for big international events just in case. I’m not on a specific case, but I still need to give regular updates on the region’s status.” He noted that the other said that she used to be a trainer, the same can’t be said for him though. “I haven’t been a trainer for…I would say twelve or thirteen years. It’s just not really for me, compared to this job that is.” Ezian said, somewhat self aware that the statement made him sound really old, but most trainers start out at ten or eleven, so maybe not.

As they arrived at the police station Ezian handed over the suspect to the local police while trying to not fall asleep with the process.
“Yes, yes, Agent E. Reveton, here’s my badge, yes there are witnesses, it’s not a big deal I’ll mention it in the footnotes-” He quickly tried to sort out the entire thing, silently complaining about all the stupid paperwork. Yes, he was almost definitely stressed.

“Did you think up of a testimony yet? No pressure, just say what happened.” Despite realizing that he was perhaps maybe almost definitely stressed, Ezian smiled at Nakano and encouraged her.

Nakano watched as Ezian did his job, the Pichu that was on his shoulder had retreated back to her own shoulder as they had gone through the doors. Ezian’s demeanor seemed almost tired or robotic given how he probably had gone through this a million times by now. He seemed almost burnt out, just hanging on by a thread. Nakano had been watching him with pursed, tight lips, unsure if she should try and get him to relax or actually take being here as a vacation. When was his day off? When she was asked about her testimony, she thought she needed to go to court, but realized it was just a statement for the paperwork.
“Oh, right, yeah.” However, her eyes were still glued to him. His smile seemed almost forced and she made up her mind. She was going to help him relax somehow while he was here, even with his constant job of being an agent.

She now felt bad in asking him for help earlier. If she could, she would take over the paperwork for him. She loved paperwork as much as she loved going outdoors and finding something new. Nakano had done this a few times, as she had saved either herself, her Pokemon, or her research from people who wanted to do her harm before. However, that was in Sinnoh, and this was in Santoris. Still, the process seemed the same.
“Hey.” She put a soothing hand on Ezian’s shoulder, her voice way softer and smoother in contrast to her angry yelling towards the thief earlier. “Whatever you do to make it easier on yourself, do it. I’ve been through the ringer before, as I had a good friend of mine do this process with me several times. Sorry for asking you to help, but thank you for helping me.” She pulled her hand off his shoulder and smiled at him. “You need a vacation.” She giggled, almost as if it were a joke. “When was the last time you had a vacation? Or even a day off?”

“Day off? It wasn’t that long ago it was-” Ezian blinked a few times and pondered what he has been doing in the past few months, but another voice from inside the station rang out. “Are you the Interpol guy? Your handcuffs are still on that suspect, we need the key.” After the question was asked Ezian’s eyes finally perked up a bit. “I knew I forgot something, come on Ky-Rii, go unlock that guy.” He said as he pulled a Pokeball from his belt, released as a large metallic Pokemon, Ezian’s Klinklang, Ky-Rii. The smaller gear turned significantly faster than the bigger one, but they both floated into the station in sync. “All our cuffs are electronic and matched with a Pokemon’s electric attack as a key, Klinklang knows what to do just let them work!” Stretching his neck into the station a bit, Ezian yelled towards the people inside.

“...Oh wait, sorry, what were we talking about again?” Putting Klinklang’s empty Pokeball back on his holster belt, Ezian tilted his head and tried to remember what he and Nakano were discussing.

Nakano was rather amused at the question, but as she watched the Klinklang with wide eyes, she watched the Pokemon. It was obvious - as she found with Doduo and Dodrio - that their personalities were different between multiple brains, and if she were perceptive enough, she could see the differences to allude that the being had other thoughts. The Klinklang - and their pre-evolutions by extension - were known to have differing personalities, but the only ones Nakano had seen had incredibly similar paths of personalities and behaviors. Seeing the two very clearly different personalities in the Klinklang gears, seen from movement alone, was astounding. She’s never seen such an obvious behavioral or personality split ever. Even her Pichu was drawn to the Steel-Type, as it was preparing to take the cuffs off.

Interesting that Ezian’s cuffs were only taken off by an identifying electrical tag based on voltage amount. She nodded with an impressed look on her face at the device, before looking up at him again when he asked her what they were talking about. She chuckled, a huge grin on her face.
“It’s decided, I’m going to attempt to get you to relax a bit while you’re here. You desperately need a day off. You were going to say you had one earlier, but I highly doubt it’s been anything less than a year or two since you’ve had one.” Her Flareon dropped to the floor and sat by her heel as she crossed her arms, giving the agent a rather amused look.

“Huh?” Ezian wasn’t sure if he was hearing things, but this basically stranger wants to help him? Sure, he had accepted that he might be a little stressed or tired, but was it really that obvious even a person he just met can- Klinklang who had returned from their task bumped into Ezian, apparently it was there trying to get his attention for a while now.

“...I-Is that so?”
