Name: Elias Franes

Age: 22

Pronouns: He/Him

Hometown: Kanto - Fuschia City

Reason for Visiting Santorias: To become the world's greatest chef he wants to immerse himself in the culture and cuisines of this new region. As a bonus, when cooking isn't enough he knows that training pokemon on the side will also allow him some leeway to explore more dangerous areas that might have rare ingredients.

Bio: Elias always had a curious personality and an even more curious taste palette. Ever since he was young he would mix and match whatever he could find and taste. His parents got tired of constantly keeping an eye on him and decided to help him in his culinary career. They taught him everything that they knew, as little as it was. He went to culinary school and learned how to mix and match everything from spices to apricorns and berries. He learned how to cook for himself and for pokemon.

One day when Elias was out gathering ingredients in some near the safari zone he was startled by an angry Scyther. It was small, hurt and worst of all, starving. Rather than run away Elias talked to the Scyther and slowly got a small meal out of his personal pack. The Scyther took it and ran. Elias kept coming back day after day and kept leaving a meal for about a month until the same Scyther, now looking much healthier greeted Elias. Ever since then they've been inseparable. Scyther seemed to be quite adept at cutting things and was a major boon in the kitchen.

After teaming up with Scyther, now nicknamed Kale, Elias set out on his journey across Kanto to learn all the different plates and cuisine that there was to offer. Meeting a very friendly and lovable Vulpix along the way they set out and found the joys of trainer battles. You know what they say after all, "Nothing works up an appetite like a good fight!".

Now Elias dreams of journeying across the globe to become the best battling chef this world has seen. His latest interests have made him arrive in the delicious sounding Santoris region.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Curious, Fun loving, Excitable, Hot headed.

VIRTUES: Always makes sure to feed anyone that's hungry. Tries to help anyone in need. Does not give up and keeps striding for his goals.

VICES: Does not put up with people wasting food and may fight someone who does, definitely a taste something new before questioning anything kind of guy, can be pretty cocky at times.

FEARS: Afraid of his friends being hurt, absolutely terrified of heights, afraid of disappointing his parents.

DESCRIPTORS: Tan, black hair with a bandana, usually a big grin on his face

OCCUPATION: Travelling Chef and trainer on the side

Chase Hiroshi.jpg

Name: Jet "Hardass" Cressfield
Age: 20
Height & Weight: 5'7" (174cm) / 143lbs (65kg)
Pronouns: He/Him
Occupation: Trainer
Hometown: Unova, Nimbasa City
Descriptors: Bold, Crass, Knowledgeable, Secretive
Personality Traits: Despite the nice smiles, Jet tends to be a pain to be around. He's cocky and arrogant, despite seeming self-aware of his own situation. He will purposefully avoid looking out for others, and will guide whoever's willing to blindly listen to him. Even so though, he does have a soft side. A confused one at that, that's hard to bring out. Maybe though, that's a good start if somebody wants to talk some sense into him and get to understand him better.
Virtues: Jet has the courage to lead away anybody who wants to follow behind him loyally. He'll do whatever he can to achieve his goals, and doesn't get downed very easily. He's confident in his abilities in battle, as well as his Pokemon's, and has no doubts he can beat anybody when push comes to shove. He finds himself too ashamed to back down from a challenge and will do whatever he can to prove himself 'stronger'.
Vices: The trainer's confidence is a bit over the top, making him get cocky more often than not, and being rather unbearable to be around. He'll mess with whoever he can just to get a rise out of them, and he can be bold enough with words to the point of upsetting others intentionally or not. Add to that his apathetic demeanor when it comes to comforting others, and if he gets on someone's bad side, it's bad to really go back. He hates relying on others and sees it as being pitied, causing him to lash out on the spot. Despite all of this behavior though, he's confused beyond belief on the inside and just puts up a facade to avoid facing it, for however long he can.
Fears: There's not many things that Jet's afraid of. Being a man who uses logic and raw instinct to get along, he hates being encountered with anything he can't explain. Affection and sympathy, any unknown feeling will confuse him and make him uneasy. Likewise, he doesn't want to get attached to people, and puts up a strong front to avoid getting close to others. His strongest and most natural fear at that, are fires and flames. Any Fire type Pokemon with flames on its body is enough to unnerve him, because of it.

Background: Since he was a child, Jet used to get along with others pretty well. He was pretty social and somewhat scared of Pokemon, despite being a trainer now. He overcame his fear when going to a contest to watch his mother perform around the age of 9 or so, and decided to become a trainer when he saw just how friendly and welcoming they can be alongside humans. And so he studied to catch up to everybody who'd begun to delve into knowing all about Pokemon from earlier, so he could participate for a few years in Trainer school and eventually embark on his own journey.
When he was around the age of 13 and deemed ready to get going, his mother fell ill and rather than set out, Jet chose to spend as much time as he could alongside her. Sadly though, she never got better and eventually passed away, leaving him and his father in shambles. From there on out, things mellowed out and the both of them started to lose contact with one another, trying whatever they could to pick up the pieces, but to no avail. Neither of them ever truly tried to reach out to the other and close the growing gap between the two, until when he reached the age of 18, his father finally made a move.
Having cut off contact with most of his friends, Jet had turned from a sociable young kid to someone more bitter, self-centered and raw, but now? All he had was himself to count on and an egg his father gave him in his possession. Not too long after he took it in his care, he understood what his father meant to tell him with it. It was a new start, for him and his freshly hatched Pawniard. To get away from all of this, he'd even bought him a ticket for Kalos, where he could kickstart his career as a trainer and take on his first gym challenge.
Something unexpected occurred once he rolled out on his adventure though, and set him back a year or two. Now with a fresh drive to get started, he thought to head on over to Santoris, and take his life by the reins. No more getting pushed around or settling for less. He was going to be on top of things this time and nobody would tell him otherwise.
Reason for visiting Santoris: Getting stronger and succesful as a trainer, and racing through the gym challenge. It's a new start for Jet that presented itself and he won't let it go to waste.
Interested in being of the Chosen 6?: "I don't need to rely on prophecies like that, get outta here." (No)

Partner Pokemon: 1653130963351.png
Pawniard | Adamant Nature
Nickname: n/A
Moves: Beat Up, Metal Claw, Fury Cutter, Quick Guard
Ability: Defiant
History: A Pawniard hatched from an egg Jet's father handed over to him when he entered adulthood. Despite being together for two years, he's not too well versed in battle, although he's very careful and loyal to his trainer.

Other Pokemon: 1653131620870.png
Minior (Shiny) | Gentle Nature
Nickname: n/A
Moves: Rollout, Swift, Confuse Ray, Acrobatics
Ability: Shields Down
History: Just after he'd started his adventures in Kalos, he stumbled upon this peculiar star-like Pokemon stuck under some rubble in a mountainside. He helped it out and despite not intending to keep it as his own initially, he seemed to have grown on it, so it followed him around. Feeling too guilty to just let it be, he took it in and is training it as his own now.

Rufflet | Jolly Nature1653132087972.png
Nickname: n/A
Moves: Peck, Hone Claws, Wing Attack, Leer
Ability: Sheer Force
History: On his stay before the festival in Santoris, Jet was wandering around and managed to run into what looked like a bird Pokemon, but more... unusual. Due to its distinct charm, the two of them duked it out, and the trainer came out on top, capturing it as his own. Despite his size, he seems quite formidable and dependable, even if the blond doesn't brag about it too often.

Kasey Kallisto63b7b2c29cc634fd68cccfca0dcf71e2.jpg
Age
: 19
Pronouns: He/Him
Hometown: Saffron City, Kanto Region
Occupation: Professional, hard-working Dumbass (Ph.D.)
Reason for visiting Santoris: Boarding the wrong ship
Interested in being in the chosen 6: Yes, but there may be more suitable candidates (see “Occupation”)

Basic Description: Kasey has a severe case of “anime-protagonist hair” as the lavender hue is the natural color of his messy cut. His eyes are a more natural blue-gray color, nicely accentuated by the healing, crimson scrapes and white bandages covering his face – usually. Other notable features are his pierced lip and triple-pierced ear. Kasey has a penchant for “sporty” or loose-fitting clothes in neutral colors – if the option for simple black or white isn't immediately available.

Personality Traits: Too much. He's a high-octane, self-proclaimed “kind of a bad guy” dumbass living for the thrill of battle and more than ready to cause some chaos – intentional or not. Kasey is the kind of guy who has not one, but two devils on his shoulders egging him on, and then he turns towards his devils and suggests a worse plan than the one they came up with. If you can tolerate this, he's loyal to the end. He is an outgoing and cheerful addition to any group of people, but you can be sure his presence will lower the average intelligence by a few points.

Virtues: Kasey cares deeply for friends and family, and displays an unwavering loyalty towards those he deems within either of those categories – usually friends. It's hard to add people to his family without – never mind. He's self-confident to a fault and will try to instill similar confidence in those he surrounds himself with. Especially his Pokemon. Often stating he chose his Pokemon based on the glaring weaknesses they have, which he wants to overcome alongside them.

Vices: Kasey loves fighting and lives to battle opponents stronger than himself. An uphill battle is fine, throwing yourself into certain death if there's a chance to survive is also fine. Another problem with this is that he will always put his current goal or objective on hold just to participate in an intense battle – no matter how pressing the current objective. He also considers “wild battles” to be an absolute free for all. Joining the fray alongside his Pokemon when training out in the wild on more than one occasion.

Fears: Compared to his brash and chaos-infused external world, Kasey does have some meaningful worries and fears that occasionally sneak upon him. For one, the thought that he won't amount to anything does keep him up at night. His family doesn't think much of him and, sure, he's got fewer wins than losses, but if he just continues to work hard the odds will eventually turn. They must. Other than that, the current bad reputation of the family business getting worse is a noteworthy fear. As are heights, but that's a bit less pressing than existential worries and family matters.

Background:
Kasey hails from Saffron City, Kanto, one of the busiest and largest cities in the region, but the blood of a free spirit unsuited of city life courses his veins. Practically growing up within the walls of the Saffron City Fighting Dojo, he was raised by his upper management mother and his Black Belt father. Never enrolling in trainer school, he fluked his way into becoming a registered Trainer on account of the exam including enough Fighting-Type related questions to make up for his below-average understanding of most other types.

With a Dex on hand to make up for his personal lack of knowledge, he was eager to set out. However, this got postponed a few years on account of the Dojo having no Pokemon to spare for a 'kid like him'. Add to that the increasingly poor reputation the Dojo was getting thanks to a smear campaign started by the Saffron City Gym – allegedly. Had he been able to head out at that time, he wouldn't have needed to witness the steady downfall of the family business as well as learn just how little the Dojo members thought of him.

It never damped his spirit though. If anything, it made him want to prove them wrong by surpassing the expectations he had so far been unable to meet. His chance came when the Dojo was presented with a possible new “member”. Some trainer who clearly wanted to get rid of their Slakoth by pawning it off to the Dojo under the promise that it would be a worthy addition after it'd evolved. Kasey's mom knew full well this one was a Normal-Type and wouldn't have a place in the Dojo, but she accepted the offer and ditched the Slakoth with her son. Clearly a hand-me-down, but enough for Kasey to brave the tall grass.

He had a plan too! This was just the last piece he needed. He'd head to the harbor in Vermillion City and pay someone to ferry him to Pallet Town. Hoping he'd find himself another “free” Pokemon at the lab of Professor Oak. Yet, his request was misunderstood by the staff at the harbor, and Kasey was too dense to recognize the mix-up. Two weeks, and a pleasant cruise, later he would find himself disembarking at a harbor in the Santoris Region – drawn in by the abundance of people and Pokemon flocking the area.

Kasey hails from Saffron City, Kanto Region, where he was raised under the oppressive, ever-watching eye of his ruthless mother. A constant pressure only alleviated slightly by the calm, peaceful nature of his at times ignorant father. Long before he was born, his father, Nicolas Varon, had already mastered his martial art and became a cornerstone of the Saffron City Fighting Dojo – believed to be a talent that would be able to stand up to Sabrina's Psychic Types. The promise of fame and recognition that would come with such a feat wasn't something the man had any interest in, but this wasn't the case for his soon-to-be wife. Enter a ruthless career woman by the name of Emilia L. Kallisto who sank her teeth into a managing position at the Fighting Dojo and quickly rose to a higher management position.

They say love makes blind, and so it did. Nicolas fell for the fighting spirit of the woman, never realizing it would willingly destroy anything in pursuit of desired fame. To this day, even with two of his children recognizing the toxicity, the man remains in love – and denial. Speaking of children, they had three in total. The eldest, Lloyd. The youngest, Winona. And the one in the middle, Kasey. All three were homeschooled and groomed to different degrees, but we'll focus on Kasey. Even though they lived within one of the busiest and largest cities in the Kanto Region, he rarely saw any of it. Practically growing up trapped within the walls of the Fighting Dojo.

He never went to get a proper education. He never enrolled in Trainer School. He was groomed to be the successor of his father as a martial arts protegee along with his older brother. Now, you might think, this isn't a way for a child to grow up. You'd be right. However, Kasey knew no other life than the constant pressure of becoming a martial artist worthy of his 'family legacy'. This was it, and this view of the world didn't change until his teenage years. Tension had been steadily rising within the family for a while before the first crack reared its head. Lloyd had become disheartened with the idea of becoming a martial artist and chose to leave for Kalos. Pursuing a career as a rancher near Camphrier Town.

No matter how their mother objected - and fought back - against the idea, Lloyd had made up his mind. He managed to get his hands on a Pigeot and left to find his own dream – not his mother's. And that was the last time they saw Lloyd. Or so their mother would have them believe. Filled with spite she has made it impossible for him to contact his family overseas and spun the tale that Lloyd had died after falling off the Pigeot supposed to ferry him across to Kalos. She was willing to instill Kasey with this grief – that would later grow into a crippling fear of heights – rather than let Lloyd speak to the family he had 'abandoned'.

To this day Kasey does not know his brother is alive and well, nor was he given the time to properly mourn the loss. With Lloyd no longer in the picture, Kasey became the new primary subject of their mother's obsession. A strict, near inhumane training regime was pushed onto him where his sparring partners were replaced by Fighting-Type Pokemon with the hopes Kasey would improve faster than with a (human) partner of similar prowess. The second crack came roughly a year later...

It started as a day like any other, but it would turn out to be a turning point in Kasey's life. His future best, and only, friend Elio walked through the door accompanied by his brother Darren and the adoptive father Corbin Abernathy-Barrows - a member of the Elite 4. Kasey had never seen his mother be so accomodating to another person in his life – nor had he ever seen a single Pokemon take out that many of the Fighting Dojo's trained Pokemon. If his current progress sparring with their own Pokemon didn't please his mother, maybe a stronger sparring partner was the solution.

He approached the Pokemon, a Walrein, and studied her for a moment before turning towards the newcomers and requesting to take it on in a sparring match. They agreed and, due to the match-up, settled for a contest of strength similar to a sumo match. An entirely one-sided contest, but simultaneously the catalyst for a budding friendship. Disregarding the total defeat, Elio seemed impressed by the attempt alone. The words he spoke that day were Kasey's first taste of validation, and he internally made a pact to himself that one day he would win against that Walrein. To show he was worthy of that validation.

Of course, they would eventually have to part ways, but not without exchanging a method of contacting one another. Something Kasey's mother heavily opposed, but since there was a member of the Elite 4 present who approved of the idea there was no way she could disagree. The only thing she could do was block incoming and outgoing messages except to the number belonging to Elio – a rather desperate attempt to prevent the slimmest chance Lloyd might try to reach out through Kasey's device. Of course, she did try on one occasion to break up the two by replacing the phone assuming her son wouldn't have the number memorized – he did.

And a good thing that he did. This phone would come to serve as the metaphorical scissors that would cut away at the strings his mother had been playing him with all these years. Talking to his friend made him see how problematic his situation was. How unhealthy his relationship with his mother had always been. He realized why his brother had tried to leave the Dojo behind. But he wouldn't go down that path. Not quite. If he left too, his younger sister would be next in line. But, if he didn't leave, the situation would never get better. Kasey spend countless nights trying to make a decision – until he reached one.

Against his mother's wishes, he took the exam that would make him a registered Pokemon Trainer and passed – barely – due to there being enough questions regarding Fighting-Type Pokemon to make up for his below-average understanding of most other types. With his own Dex and a Trainer License, he was ready to set out and pursue his goal. However, this got postponed a few years on account of the Dojo, or rather his mother, having no Pokemon to spare for him to take as a partner.

Yet, this never dampened his spirit and his chance finally came when the Dojo was presented with a possible new 'member'. A trainer who clearly wanted to get rid of their Slakoth by pawning it off to the Dojo under the promise that it would evolve into a worthy addition with some training. Kasey's mom knew full well this was a false promise, but a Slakoth would be an ideal partner to set her son up for failure – forcing him to return home. She would dash that dream and crush his spirit through this useless Pokemon partner.

However, she didn't take into consideration Kasey's tenacity. Add to that the fact that he had a plan too. This partner was the last piece he needed and together they would make it work. He set out for Vermillion City with the intent to pay someone to ferry him to Pallet Town. But, not before he would get himself a permanent reminder to never let himself be used like that again. This reminder is a wrist tattoo shaped like a barcode, reminding him how his mother viewed him and his siblings, with underneath the bars a string of numbers forming the phone number of Elio, so he'd never be able to forget it.

After this, he set out for the harbor. Yet, his request was misunderstood by the workers, and Kasey didn't realize there had been a mix-up even after he boarded what was clearly a cruise ship. Two weeks later, a healed tattoo and a pleasant cruise later he would find himself disembarking at a harbor in the Santoris Region – Delphia's harbor to be exact. Onboard, he'd won over the friendship of a lost Snover with a kind offer of crushed ice to help the Ice-Type combat the heat, and with another companion added, the small group was drawn in by the abundance of people and other Pokemon flocking the area. Seeking adventure – and the lab of a Professor that didn't live in this Region...

Partner Pokemon:__slakoth_pokemon_drawn_by_huiro__44e97cd95e50df8087c698035a924d56.png
Slakoth | The Slacker Pokemon | Level 16
Nickname: N/A
Moves: Feint Attack, Icy Wind, Scratch, Slack Off
Ability: Truant
History: A hand-me-down partner ditched by a trainer that didn't see any potential in it. Kasey has been working hard to lift the sloth's self-esteem and/or energy levels, but the results are far from noteworthy. Though, it does seem Slakoth recognizes the effort Kasey has been putting in because the Pokemon heavily opposes the notion of serious harm befalling his trainer.

Other Pokemon:556-5560899_i-think-theres-a-tree-in-here-snover.jpg
Snover | The Frost Tree Pokemon | Level 18
Nickname: N/A
Moves: Grass Whistle, Icy Wind, Powder Snow, Razor Leaf
Ability: Snow Warning
History: A pretty reserved, slightly apprehensive Pokemon who'd gotten lost on the ship headed for the Santoris Region. She did not seem to take the climate of the open sea well and was happy to tag along with Kasey after being bribed with a kind offer in the form of crushed ice taken from the onboard bar. Whether this Snover got separated from her original trainer is unknown, but unlikely. Given that she never seemed to doubt her decision to take after Kasey.

FIRST | LAST Andy Richter

AGE (16+) 18

PRONOUNS he/him/his

HOMETOWN (region & town/city) Mahogany Town/Johto

REASON FOR VISITING SANTORIS Right now he would be looking to perhaps start a bakery out in Santoris, as well as improve his baking as a whole. Possibly may go into contests if those are a thing, but for now, training to do contests or gyms is more accessible

BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND
Born into a quaint, moderately sized house in Mahogany Town Andy was an introvert at the start of his childhood, clinging mainly to his parents, Bob and Martha Richter for protection due to extreme shyness. This led to him being homeschooled and learning basic reading, writing, and math from them. The parents wanted him to make some friends with any other kids at their favorite spot, which also happens to be where the parents met, Corsola Cove, around Mt Mortar, dubbed that due to the abundance of Corsola present. However, if they tried to help him he would run away without saying a word with a very scared expression on his face, thus leading the local kids in Mahogany to label him an oddball.

This continued until age 6 during one routine day at Andy's now favorite area. He was busy making little designs in the sand, with his parents watching him while they were lounging around. That is until a Water Ball pokémon popped its head out of the water. The Azurill, as identified by Mr. and Mrs. Richter who still carried pokèdexes just in case, merrily bounced up to the trio with a squeak. This was Andy's first encounter with a pokémon so initially, he recoiled away from it. The Aqua Mouse Pokémon just waved its bouncy tail at him, smiled and squeaked once more which made Andy more cautious now more than afraid as he reached out to pet the Marill of which it took full comfort in. Bob and Martha saw this occur and became overjoyed that their bundle of nerves seemed to have taken a shine to a pokémon and potential new friend. After a whole day of play by Andy and his new found poké-friend, Azurill, the Richters got ready to return to Mahogany Town. Before they left, she squeaked again, waved using that tail of hers, and walked back into the lake.

From then on, Andy slowly became more outgoing. By age 10 thanks to repeated visits to see Azurill, he was at least being more vocal with the Mahogany Town locals, unless it was the first time meeting a person, in that case, he would start out timid but warm up to him or her after a few minutes of conversation. Andy's homeschooling was going well too, he was learning Middle School levels of reading, writing, and math. Though he was homeschooling well, he wasn't as interested as much. His love of nature though never really diminished, still wanting to go to places along Johto such as Corsola Cove, Ecruteak City, and Olivine City, as well as trying to learn how to cook foods for pokemon. His time practicing this would be using a sort of easy bake oven type thing, however, this almost resulted in him burning the house down.

During the year before his 16th birthday, Andy’s adventurous side started showing up. He would sneak out during the night to explore the areas around Mahogany; not going too much farther than that because he didn't want to worry his mom and dad, he was very respectful of them after all. He yearned to head to the rest of not just the Johto region, but any other region out there learning about the many cultures and pokémon present throughout with his own pokémon, little did he know they both were planning quite a surprise for him. One being he was headed to a new region to pursue his current aspiration to be a pokemon chef, in spite of that previous attempt nearly going so horribly wrong, the region being the Santoris Region. The other would be revealed on his 18th birthday, the parents letting him have a chance at his own adventure, before all that though, was the usual happy birthday Andy followed by the birthday cake and presents which included a backpack, a flashlight as well as a very special, secret surprise that Andy's parents decided to keep secret from him, a certain blue mouse. The soon-to-be nurse was very excited about all the goodies until he remembered he still needed a pokémon. Suddenly, he heard a familiar-sounding squeak. He lit up like a Blitzle charging up a Thunder attack. He picked up the Aqua Mouse and paraded around the house and hugged it followed by the parents for getting his first real friend. Andy became ecstatic, he now had everything he needed to start his adventure; with that, he bolted out the door and headed for Santoris with all the gifts and Aquamarine, an affectionate name for his first pokémon, in tow after one last goodbye hug from his parents.

to think this all started upon meeting a tiny little blue mouse.

3-5 PERSONALITY TRAITS
Andy is eager to observe the world around him and somewhat inquisitive. That inquisitiveness has made him very bright in terms of knowledge of nature but has also led to an unhealthy sense of danger because of it. Due to still being young, he is still a little naive, which results in him falling for pranks, such as April Fools pranks. However, when this does happen, he will see it as a learning experience and, in fact, occasionally going along with it knowing full well that it’s a prank for the sake of humor. One example of this comes from Ratattas or other prankster pokémon hiding his items all over Mahogany Town, the pokémon themselves belonging to other trainers. The scavenger hunts don't bother him as he sees the pokémon as being playful or silly. Andy has high morals and won't allow anything to happen to his friends, going out of his way to try and settle disputes between other locals, even though it's clearly none of his business, telling the truth whenever he does something wrong, or just being around for people that have had bad days. This does lead to him getting into some sticky situations, however, such as people ignoring Andy during a dispute, at which point he will leave them alone.

Andy will start out shy to any person or pokèmon but will gradually warm up to them as time goes on and strive above most things to keep his friends happy, beware he will run away from anyone that lashes out at him. Battle-wise Andy favors being more on the defensive side, envisioning pokémon battles to be more like chess matches rather than matches of power preferring to pick his opponents apart with strategy instead.

WILLIAM | HOLTON
Age
: 23
Gender/Pronouns: Male (He/Him)
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Hometown: Jubilife City, Sinnoh

Reason(s) for Santoris Visit:
The festival piqued his interest. He’s hoping to enjoy himself at the festival and taste all of the local sweets while solving any case that he comes across, given that they are interesting enough.

History:
William grew up in the middle of the bustling city of Jubilife in Sinnoh. From a young age he took an interest in detective work, an interest that only grew stronger when he uncovered a pokemon smuggling organization by himself and rescued the pokemon being held captive, among which his partner Espurr.

Over the years William and Espurr worked together on countless cases, making a name for themselves as a genius human and pokemon detective duo, said to be able to solve smaller-scale cases within half an hour. William also solved multiple large cases of pokemon disappearance that left the authorities completely in the dark making him famous region-wide as Sinnoh’s top detective at age 20 and earning him a small fortune.

After that he started traveling the world to see some of the sights and in hopes of finding some intriguing cases to take on, having gotten bored of the ever-repeating similar cases in Sinnoh. He spent two years in Kalos solving the occasional big case in between his sightseeing and making a bit of a name for himself in that region as well, though he’s not nearly as well-known in Kalos as he is in Sinnoh.

Personality:
William is a laid-back and friendly guy. He’s amassed a fortune large enough to live out his life in comfort so he no longer takes cases he’s not interested in, favoring large-scale cases that he actually needs to somewhat put his brain to work for to solve. He is, however, extremely easy to bribe into taking cases he initially declined with any and all sorts of sweets even though he has more than enough money to buy them himself.

Virtues: Kind, Confident, Observant

Vices: Impatient, Arrogant, Petty

Fears: Pokemon getting hurt, heights, meeting a villain capable of outwitting him

Occupation
: Private Pokemon Detective

Partner Pokemon:
Espurr - Watson (Will not evolve)

Pokemon Team:
- Lucario - Lestrade
- Noibat - Moran (Will evolve)

Interested in being one of the 6?: No particular interest

Ezian Reveton

AGE

25

PRONOUNS
He/him, They/them

HOMETOWN (region & town/city)
Motostoke, Galar

REASON FOR VISITING SANTORIS
It's his current job. As many tourists from all over the world flock to the region, he is assigned to monitor the large-scale events for any suspicious or problematic happenings as a member of the International Police.

BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND
Ezian was born in Motostoke to a relatively average family, he had parents and a younger sister, as well as a few household pet Pokemon that belonged to his parents when they were young. His parents lived mostly in the city, very rarely venturing outside to the routes and wild areas of Galar. They were quite overprotective of their children and didn't let them go on a Pokemon journey like many of the other kids Ezian's age. Being left out of the de facto activity done by the others his age, Ezian naturally grew a bit rebellious. During a family vacation when he went to visit the Isles of Armour, Ezian snuck out by himself and wandered deep into a local cave. As he didn't have a Pokemon of his own, the boy was soon attacked by wild Pokemon. This, however, didn't faze him much, as he was quite naturally nimble and capable of outrunning or outwitting the lumbering cave Pokemon. This was until a small creature that was just as mobile and nimble as him charged Ezian, it was a Rockruff that became separated from the rest of its pack. The two youngins fought it out on a dusty cave floor, and after both where exhausted, the Rockruff seems to have formed a bond with the human child.

Ezian took the Rockruff back, and after about three days of continuous whining, he was allowed to keep it. After the family returned to Motostoke, he decided to challenge the local gym with it, and totally lost despite the type advantage. After that Ezian decided to wander in the wild area and eventually captured his second Pokemon: a small Klink. Then he lost the gym challenge again. Ezian, was in fact, not really cut out to be a trainer. He did quite poorly in stadiums and arenas that restricted what he and his Pokemon could do. But he didn't give up on becoming stronger and did continue to raise his Pokemon, though his parents didn't exactly approve, thinking it was too dangerous of a pursuit.

As Ezian grew up he never really abandoned his Pokemon training endeavors, although he never tried to partake in the gym challenge or make it as a full time Pokemon trainer. He got a relatively normal job at Wyndon for Rose Tower, doing some desk work on the PC system and accounting. Until one fateful day where a few thugs tried to rob the counter he was at during a shift. All the Pokemon trainers were doing their matches at the time as a tournament was going on, and security was thin in areas away from the stadium. Almost without thinking Ezian threw out his Rockruff and Klang (which evolved some time ago), being the best Pokemon user on shift that day he tried his best but was outnumbered. As his Pokemon were nearly defeated, the young man decided to do something that people in Wyndon never expected to happen, he tackled the robbers while bypassing their Pokemon, while encouraging his own to get up and continue to fight. This was when both of his Pokemon evolved into Lycanroc Midday and Klinklang.

After the incident, the police arrived on the scene and transcribed what happened. After learning of what Ezian did, an International Police agent working with Galar's local police decided he had the aptitude to become an officer. Even though he did not have an extensive record of battling, he was quick-witted and knew need to be done in the moment, and knew when to jump out of the circle of conventional battles. Ezian accepted the offer and has been working as an International Police officer for most of his adult life.

Recently, he was assigned to Santoris to monitor the local festive events and make sure nothing goes wrong, or at least report it if something did. But one small issue was raised, Ezian never told his family about his career change as they would deem it too dangerous, he always told them he was an international sales representative for Macro Cosmos to explain his time away from home. For this trip, his sister wanted him to take care of her Wooper for her as it would like the climate of Santoris, which posed a huge problem as the thing disliked Pokeballs and Ezian's work may entail danger for such a small and weak Pokemon.

PERSONALITY TRAITS
Ezian is a very professional person in his work, he is always formal and polite when the situation is calm, but becomes commanding during emergencies. It is mostly a result of his training and experience. He is also a practical person and quite proactive in solving conflicts involving Pokemon, often personally jumping into the fray, which makes him seem a bit reckless. However, it's just a different lifestyle (according to him at least). Outside of work he is a bit more mellowed out and often seems tired, being constantly overworked and needing to encounter high-stress situations. But his maturity and responsible demeanor stays much the same, he always tries his best to help out others that are in uncertain situations and also never wants to worry others, especially his family.

VIRTUES
Very responsible and is able to keep his cool in most situations, doesn't like to engage too much or add fuel to the fire in conflicts. He is efficient at dealing with things and is very reliable, quite proactive at protecting others from danger. And well, he actively chose putting his own life in danger for the sake of others as a career.

VICES
A bit reckless, especially if he perceives himself as the only person who can deal with the situation. It is partially arrogance and partially difficulty in trusting others to be able to do things right. He's a bit too focused on maintaining a professional persona to the point where he could seriously overexert himself while being too prideful to ask others for help.

FEARS
His family finding out about his job
. It's not like his job is something that he should be hiding, but he doesn't want to worry them. In a similar vein, he is scared of getting seriously injured or even killed in the line of duty because that would cause the people and Pokemon around him pain. Although he knows that his loved ones are generally always in a safe place, he sometimes does worry about his family after dealing with incidents that involved normal people. But most importantly, he's scared of being completely powerless or paralyzed and letting a harmful incident play out.

DESCRIPTORS
Matte black hair
and bright blue eyes, in uniform the majority of the time, 6'4/193cm tall. Has a calming air around him, being a responsible person that does a lot of adulting. Seems tired most of the time with dark circles under his eyes that he would cover with sunglasses to insist he isn't tired.

OCCUPATION
International Police Agent

PARTNER POKEMON

Lycanroc (Midday) - Amour (Male)
Ezian's first Pokemon that evolved into a Midday for Lycanroc. Named after the Isles of Amour it is firecly loyal, although one won't really see it on the surface as he "attacks" its trainer sometimes, only because he knows how capable his trainer is. Amour is able to switch between police guard Pokemon and friendly household Pokemon personas in an instant as Ezian brings him back to family vists.

Klinklang - Ky-rii (pronounced "ki-ri") (Genderless)
The two gears on its body are actually separate consciousnesses, it took a while to get used to it when it first evolved. It's thankful to Ezian for help it through that difficult period. The larger gear (Ky) is a bit dorky and constantly follows the rest of the team's lead, but it's very powerful and reliable, and often serves as an emergency power supply. The smaller gear (Rii) is more proactive and aggressive, it will often prompt Ky to attack when it is having trouble keeping up with the situation.

OTHER POKEMON

Wooper - Woopsies

It belongs to his sister, Ellina. It's very clumsy and...suboptimal in battles. However, it dislikes being in Pokeballs and always wanders into danger, whether this is on purpose or by accident is unknown.

INTERESTED IN BEING THE CHOSEN 6?
No, not really, one full-time on-call job is enough.

    Age: 24

    Pronouns: He/Him

    Sexuality: Heterosexual

    Hometown: Motostoke, Galar

    Occupation: Pokemon Doctor -In- training

    Reason for visiting Santoris:
His mentor asked him to come to Santoris and study there while he is on vacation. It's his final assignment before he is ready to take the final test and become a real pokemon doctor

Interested in being in the chosen 6?: No, Maybe

    Descriptors:
-Most of the time he keeps a straight face.

    Personality Traits:
Cassidy around another human can be Cynical, Calm, and Lazy. He thinks that he spends too much energy speaking with other people and that he would rather conserve energy and either let them speak or just ignore them. He finds himself more comfortable being around pokemon than humans, maybe it has to do with how he was raised around pokemon when he was little. But don't let his personality fool you, he is always there to see that everyone is fine, doesn't matter if they are humans or pokemon.

    Virtues:
He always sees the good in people, maybe it has to do with how he was raised, or maybe because they intrigue him somehow. He is always there to lend a hand if necessary, even if said person doesn't need it. He is always calm in most situations, be it dangerous or safe.

    Vices:
Cassidy just finds it troublesome when it comes to speaking or starting a conversation with someone, he thinks it's better to conserve his energy than to speak with someone. He believes that humans are never being honest or always want something, that's why finds it hard to trust them, he can even count how many friends he has with one finger. Having parents as breeders, he thinks he knows everything there is to know about pokemon, and when someone knows more than him, he thinks what he knows is all there is, deciding to just ignore them or not listen to them anymore.

    Fears:
He fears Tauros and Bouffalant, mainly because when he was a kid, his parents had decided to bring him to a farm that had a lot of them, there was a stampede, and he was in the middle of it, luckily he survived but he has feared them since. Besides that, he doesn't fear much, well except maybe not being able to save any injured pokemon or being unable to become a doctor and having to become a breeder like his parents.

Bio: Why, out of all jobs, did Cassidy decide to become a pokemon doctor?? Sure he could have been a trainer, maybe a ranger, or even followed his parent's footsteps and become a pokemon breeder. But no, I mean sure he loved pokemon, really loved them, but he always hated how they got hurt, being a trainer or a ranger, those jobs hurt pokemon so he never went with those jobs. Sure being a breeder like his parents sounded like a good idea, but being stuck in daycare and raising pokemon all day every day for his whole life, Nah, that job wasn't for him. So what job did he pick?? He decided to become a pokemon doctor, someone that saves pokemon and maybe even trainers alike. So once Cassidy had made up his mind, he decided to study under Nurse Joy, as he grew up and learned how to take care of pokemon. Eventually, his mother would contact one of her friends who was a doctor and he began studying under him. Time will eventually pass by and his mentor will assign him over to Santoris while the Festival was going on (stupid mentor having him work during his vacation) as a final assignment.

Sylvie ♡ Vanderbilt
Age:
20
Pronouns: She/her
Hometown: Laverre City, Kalos
Occupation: Luxury Pokéball Designer

Background
Sylvie was born and raised in the Kalos region, region of beauty. Being the heiress to the Pokéball Factory fortune (owned by the Kalos Pokéball Company), Sylvie was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and expects nothing less than absolute perfection. Her parents had a lot of complications with pregnancy before she was born, so she's like their miracle baby. With her parents being overjoyed not only to have an heiress to the family business, but a gorgeous little daughter as well, they practically gave her anything she wanted. Of course, with parents willing to give her whatever she wanted, naturally Sylvie became quite spoiled, pitching a fit whenever people didn't do what she wanted them to do, or something wasn't exactly to her expectations.

Once she got to that certain age where it was expected for her to go on her own Pokémon journey, Sylvie absolutely refused. Leave home and get all dirty just so she can get a couple of crummy badges? She couldn't possibly! Instead, she begged her father to buy her the full set of gym badges and an amazingly powerful partner Pokémon of her own. While he was a bit reluctant at first (and unsure if that was even possible), he was able to pull some strings and get her the complete set of Kalos gym badges, as well as an amazingly strong partner Pokémon: Tyranitar.

The very next year, Sylvie entered to compete in the Kalos Pokémon League, but found herself knocked out in her very first battle. While money could buy her the badges, they certainly couldn't buy her any talent as a trainer. Of course, it was simply mind-boggling to Sylvie that she could possibly LOSE a contest that she had zero training or preparation for. So, instead of accepting her loss gracefully, she made a HUGE deal about it. The Kalos Pokéball Company is notably litigious, suing many independent Pokéball crafters for "stealing" their designs, and they lended her their best lawyers to build a case against the Kalos League.

Of course, Sylvie knew from the start that this case wasn't going to go anywhere. She had bought her way into the League, and had no experience as a trainer. BUT, that wasn't what mattered. What mattered was getting every person in Kalos to know who she was! And, naturally, she received plenty of media attention for being THE girl who was brave enough to SUE the Kalos League. News outlets covered the trials extensively, and when Sylvie ultimately lost the trial, she used the momentum to start her own line of designer Pokéballs (produced in the Kalos Pokéball Factory, of course!)

Since then, Sylvie has lived a fairly average life-- well, as average of a life as an heiress can have. She spends her days going to classy business meetings and charity galas, designing a yearly line of her luxury Pokéballs, and touring throughout the world to promote her products. But recently, life has just gotten so busy, and Sylvie just needs a break. With her family owning a villa in the Santoris region, maybe now would be the perfect time to travel there and just... unwind a little bit. Plus, she could do some promotion there, too!

Who Is Sylvie?
Reason for Visiting Santoris: Life as an heiress can just be so exhausting! Sylvie has decided to take some time off in the Santoris region and stay in her family's villa. She also wants to do a little bit of promotion for her latest luxury Pokéball collection, inspired by the various stones of the Pokémon world.

Personality: First and foremost, Sylvie is very spoiled. She wants everything, and she wants it handed to her on a silver platter. She hates working, and she rarely lifts a finger for anything, outside of her Pokéball business. However, she's very outgoing, and is blessed with the gift of gab. Despite her spoiled tendencies, Sylvie has a natural charisma to her. She loves to talk and meet new people, and she can be very charming. Growing up in Kalos, she has a natural grace and elegance to her. She speaks eloquently and chooses her words very carefully, often peppering in French words and phrases to show off her heritage. This elegance also leads to a heavy degree of superficiality from the girl. Sylvie judges people based on their appearances and is very blunt about it, unafraid to tell someone that she thinks they're unstylish or annoying.

Vices: Sylvie is very spoiled and has a hard time being told no. She hates doing things she doesn't want to do, and is very prone to whining and pitching fits. She has a superficial nature, and only cares for things when they reach her high standards. Sylvie is a show-off and is very boastful about her family and her achievements. Many people see her as arrogant due to her self-absorbed nature and the importance she places on beauty.

Virtues: Sylvie is outgoing and loves to meet new people. She can carry along a conversation with just about anyone (even if she doesn't necessarily like them), and can be quite persuasive when she wants to be. She is also quite elegant, moving with grace and dignity, always keeping her head held high. She speaks very properly, and has impeccable manners. It is very rare to see her with even a hair out of place. You might not think it by looking at her, but Sylvie is very creative and quite resourceful. She knows a lot about business, and has an eye for design. She can come up with solutions to problems if she's given a little bit of time.

Fears: Sylvie fears losing her family's fortune and thus, her place in society. She fears failure especially. While the Kalos League loss gave her attention, it was also quite humiliating. She worries if she fails again, she won't be able to bounce back from it. She also fears Bug-type Pokemon. Gross!

Description: Sylvie is quite recognizable, just based on her signature hairstyle. She has long, blonde hair that looks as if it were spun from gold, curled into several ringlets. She is always dressed elegantly, wearing dresses with all kinds of frills and accessories, inspired by the typical fashion of young women in Laverre City. She's quite short naturally, but wearing her high heels, she gets boosted to a solid 5'6".

Reginald Valerias1653261623966.png
(Snapshot from Anime: Mob Psycho 100; FC: Arataka Reigen)

Nickname: Reggie, Reg
Age: 21
Date of Birth: August 1
Location of Birth: Hearthome City, Sinnoh
Hometown: Opelucid City, Unova
Occupation: Pokemon Trainer (of 4 years) and resident goofball
Gender: Male
Pronouns: He/Him
Sexuality: Bisexual
Interested in Being the Chosen 6?: Yes :3

  • Height: 5'11" (180 cm)

    Weight: 160 lbs (72.57 kg)

Hair Style: Short, usually combed back

    Hair Color: Blonde

    Eye Color: Bright Sapphire

Basic Description: Reggie has an average body build; not too skinny, not too fluffy, but barely any noticeable working muscle either. He usually wears something pretty close to travel-okay business-casual clothing. He has dark grey dress pants, black dress shoes, black socks, a purple trainer belt with PokeBall slots, a dark purple dress shirt, and a green XTransceiver on his right wrist. He also has a simple black phone that should have a Rotom, but is fit with a sim card instead. Finishing off his look, he has a black dress coat with golden cuff buttons and a yellow and red striped bowtie. He occasionally wears a black trilby with a hot pink sash around the base. He absolutely loves his trilby and will make sure it doesn't get damaged or lost.

For more casual clothes when he knows he'll get dirty, he has black combat boots, baggy dark grey pants, a simple t-shirt with a silhouette of a Giratina, his purple trainer belt, and a grey coat with red and black stripes on the front, yellow spiked pockets and cuffs, and the hoodie has yellow fluff around the hood's edges. Wherever he goes, he has a large ruddy red camping backpack on his back that holds items for a small pot, a small tent, bowls, utensils, rations, extra clothes, hygiene equipment, rope, and other such items used for a Pokemon journey that isn't just survival.

Pokemon

  • 1653262894717.png
Species/Type: Haunter - Ghost/Poison (Being a Ghost-Type, he cannot be trapped by any trapping moves or abilities, including the binding effect of moves like Infestation. However, he can still be affected by the other effects and damage by such moves. Being a Poison-Type, he cannot be Poisoned or Badly Poisoned unless affected by a Pokemon with Corrosion. These special effects can be lost if he loses his typing, such as from Soak.)
    Nickname: Emeric
    Gender: Male
Ability: Levitate - Emeric floats a few feet above the ground naturally, rendering him immune to damaging Ground-Type moves; the ability Arena Trap; the moves Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Sticky Web, and Rototiller; and all terrain (Misty/Psychic/Grassy/Electric). Because Emeric floats, he cannot neutralize/remove the Toxic Spikes as soon as he switches in. Of course, the effects of the move Gravity, if forced to hold an Iron Ball, under the effects of Ingrain, has been hit by Smack Down, or is forced to touch the ground some other way will make the ability's immunity to the moves and abilities fail.
Appearance: Haunter has a shiny palette, but other than that, his appearance doesn't change much from his average height or weight, and he doesn't have anything else setting him apart from the other Haunter. His ethereal fur(?) sparkles and his tongue is blue. So is the energy that coats his hands. Emeric is 5'03" (160 cm) and weighs 0.2 lbs (0.09 kg).
Nature/Personality: Modest | Emeric is confident in his abilities inwardly, but doesn't like to show it off or boast. He is loyal to a fault to those who prove they are not bad humans (whatever that is), but he is initially wary of people. He's grown out of that when he evolved, but he generally doesn't get close to people, even if they have a knack for bonding with Pokemon faster. His human is Reggie, and he won't dare find a comforting solace in another human. However, that wouldn't stop him from pulling pranks on those around him. If he really likes or dislikes you, you'll find yourself being pranked on more. It will be obvious if he doesn't like someone, as the pranks can get kind of malicious, as per his nature. He is also rather intelligent and will make sure to use the correct move if Reggie forgets and has one of his infamous blunders.
History: A Gastly was caught by Pokemon hunters from within a reportedly haunted area that was in need of being cleaned out of the supernatural presences within. While being caught within a Luxury Ball, the Gastly was terrified. Why was he in here? The humans that took him scared him and he didn't know what he was supposed to do. The comfort of the confines terrified him, yet he couldn't escape.

And so, he laid there, unable to see or hear through the contraption despite having the ability to do so. Was he in a box? Why was it so dark? Not even he can see in the darkness.

That was when light broke through, surprising him into another fit of terror. Then he saw the man who caught him giving the Gastly to an older gentleman in exchange for some paper. Gastly had no concept of money besides trading, so his pride and ego shattered upon seeing how much his existence was really worth. He was an intelligent, ethereal being capable of scaring people to death (literally), why was he being traded away by something that seemed so worthless?

Then, as they traveled in to the expensive building, he saw before him a young man.

Was he plucked from his new home, stuffed into darkness for what felt like days, traded for some useless, pretty paper, only to be given to a teenager - a mere child nonetheless?

When he was revealed to the boy, the boy held such adoration for him. Why? Why was he looking at him like that with such glitter in his eyes? Normally, people would turn tail and run, scream and shake in terror. But no, the only shaking from his boy was from excitement, and he just about squealed in delight. And he was given a name of Emeric. It was strange. He held back on his intent to maliciously prank and throw fits around the house and waited it out. Turned out that the boy, who's name was Reggie as he would find out, wasn't that bad. In fact, he was a sweetheart. He had good food, good entertainment, a house to fly around in and through, a companion, Ghost-Types to talk to, and even though he was owned by a human, he wasn't like those that were told in those horror stories..

Emeric stayed with Reggie, and rarely separated from him. He liked traveling with him, liked battling alongside him. He later evolved for him during the fight against Burgh in Castelia City, becoming a Haunter. Even though he was a forgetful goofball, Reggie had proven time and time again that he deserved Emeric's company, loyalty, and trust. He would trust his life in Reggie's hands.

Of course, that still didn't mean he wouldn't act outside of commands in a fight. The Gas Pokemon loves the boy, but sometimes his forgetfulness would cause a loss in a fight, and he'd rather take his own initiative if he had the wrong call like that one time he was told to use Shadow Ball against a Tranquill.

Moves: Being his first Pokemon of choice, his moves are tailored for both use in battles and contests. They have trained for quite some time on creative and unorthodox methods on how to use most of the moves he knows at his disposal. For this reason, I won't explain the different methods of use. Also, for in-game equivalent nonsense, he's Level 28 in terms of battling experience.
Shadow Ball - Ghost - Special - Has a 1/5 chance to lower the target's Special Defense when hit. Can't affect those with Bulletproof. It looks like a blob made of shadowy essence.
Confuse Ray - Ghost - Status - Confuses the target with eerie, floating lights.
Sludge Bomb - Poison - Special - Has a ~1/3 chance to poison the opponent. It has no effect on targets with Bulletproof.
Hypnosis - Psychic - Status - Puts the target to sleep. If the target allows it and when it's not within a battle, he can make them do a few actions before they break from the trance.
Dark Pulse - Dark - Special - Created by dark thoughts and manifested as dark, pulsating aura, Dark Pulse has a 1/5 chance to cause flinching.
Dazzling Gleam - Fairy - Special - Shines a bright, magical light and can damage multiple targets.
Giga Drain - Grass - Special - Damages the opponent with glowing orbs and about 50% of those orbs come back to heal Emeric with the stolen energy. Emeric will take damage if the opponent has Liquid Ooze, and won't work if Emeric is under the effects of Heal Block.

Annette | Queen

AGE (16+): 27

PRONOUNS: She/her

HOMETOWN (region & town/city) Cinnabar Island/Kanto, works in Pewter City

REASON FOR VISITING SANTORIS: Work - sent overseas to Santoris primarily to research the legends of its pokemon protectors, those formerly thought to have only been found in the neighbouring Johto region.

BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND: Annette is a kanto girl, born and raised. Originally from Cinnabar Island Annette often travelled with her mother, a tour guide writer, to the Sevii Island archipelago or to the mainland. She was still a young girl the day the Cinnabar laboratory burnt down and like many residents wonders what it was that caused the terrible incident. Travelling on so many tours while being cared for by her mother, with a father always working abroad, she wasn’t wowed by the fire like many other residents. Growing up she moved inland, getting a job working at the museum in Pewter city as a tour guide. However, that was only a casual job until earning her degree from the Pallete Town laboratory in pokemon history, majoring in fossils. She works primarily in in the various cave systems in Kanto, Victory Road, Cerulean Cave, Mt Moon and Mt Silver. After quickly earning a name for herself, Annette would often travel to other regions when fossils and ancient artifacts were found, bringing many back to Pewter to study or display in their museum.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: To put it bluntly, Annette is tired of humans. Spending most of her early life accompanying her mother on pokemon tours she learned quick how two-faced humanity can really be. Seemingly kind and excited individuals were cynical and tired behind closed doors, and rude and aggressive individuals wallowed in self-gratification in private. When at work she is quick to skip past small-talk or to stay longer than she is needed. She has a great love of history and of looking at how society has grown as well as a love for pokemon as they come across as far more simple, and in her words, trustworthy. When with likeminded people who share the same interests as her, and she knows quite well, Annette does enjoy discussing her topics of interest a lot, and sees herself as an educator to younger people with similar interests.

VIRTUES: While coming across as cynical to others, she’s a very honest person. If people need help she’ll be quick to jump in to give a hand and whatever advice she can, though some may not like what she has to tell them. She can also get very engaged in her work, showing a lot of dedication and care to the ancient parts of pokemon history.

VICES She smokes, it’s hard-pressed to find her without a cigarette in her mouth or dangling from her hand over an ashtray. Her job get’s stressful and when things don’t go well, things get damaged or someone just won’t stop talking to her she can snap and get quite aggressive.

FEARS She is afraid of cave-ins and lava. In her early days of study, she went on an overseas excursion to Mt. Chimney with her professor to investigate newly found hieroglyphics of the Legendary Groudon. During the excavation process, another inexperienced digger broke down a wall accelerating a cave-in. Trapped with slowly encroaching molten hot lava coming towards them it was only thanks to a rescue team led by the gym leader that they got out alive.

DESCRIPTORS: Black hair, tied back. Red eyes, slightly tanned skin, 6'2 and lean. Nice legs, often wears leggings, gloves and probably has some level of dirt covering her. Big boots that are fluffy inside. A cigarette, most often a business suit with skirt and large red coat with a fluffy collar. She changes to more work appropriate attire when in ruins; tank top and jacket, khaki shorts and work boots. She has a silver lighter with red ingrain resembling the mythical mew's hieroglyphics; a gift from professor Oak on achieving her masters - it now has a small glowing silver orb in the back (with more red, metallic ingrain surrounding)

OCCUPATION: Historian/Researcher

PARTNER POKEMON:

Vibrava (lvl 44)
- Her first pokemon, she got her shortly after she started studying as a gift from one of her professors, the vibrations help with safely uncovering fossils in the ground.
1653288489160.png
Steelix (lvl 54), caught in the wild as an Onix in Mt. Moon. He evolved via an application of the metal coat while at work. They were once attacked by a swarm of unknown in the Shinjoh ruins, Annette protected the research team with Steelix and their sponsor Mr. Stone gifted her a Steelixite as thanks - she hasn't used it. If asked she'd consider Steelix her partner.
1653288466428.png
Tyrunt (lvl 34), a recently revived pokemon that was gifted to Annette in order to train. She is very aggressive and playful, and tends to accidentally break things. She has been reprimanded by Annette many times.

    Age: 18

    Pronouns: He/Him

    Sexuality: Heterosexual

    Hometown: Fuchsia City, Kanto

Occupation: Freelancer / Currently studying to become a pokemon professor.

    Reason for visiting Santoris:
As a soon-to-be professor, he felt it was his job to go see this new area for research, on the plus side, he might be able to meet his favorite idol, Aria.

Interested in being in the chosen 6?: Maybe

    Descriptors:
    - Has the chokers on (sometimes) to show he is free from his parent's grasp

    Personality Traits:
"Hiya there, I'm your soon-to-be best friend." Dilan is an enthusiastic young pokemon trainer with big ambitions and a huge commitment to everything he is. He is a hyperactive, outgoing, cheerful Lil fellow. He loves his sweet just as much as he loves to talk with new people and find pokemon that he has never seen before. He tends to get loud and excited, easily getting lost in his world when he gets too excited. But that's only when it comes to people he knows, around those he meets the first, regrettably, he gets apologetic and flustered... Especially towards women. He is a fool that is easy to impress but don't take kindness as his weakness, far from it. He is very gullible. But once he finds out that he is being used for something bad, he will use everything in his power to take the said person or persons down. If he gets bored, he may or may not start dancing randomly

    Virtues:
    He never gives up.
He will always be kind, either to his friends, enemies, or people he doesn't know.
It's very hard for others to get him mad, he will always smile even if something good or bad is happening.

    Vices:
He is always kind, so people use that to their advantage against others.
Easy to fool, so if you show him a bit of kindness, he will defend you.
He hates too much candy, that he shuts down when he doesn't have any with him.

    Fears:
Ariados - was attacked by an Ariados while trying to unsuccessful infiltrate Koga's gym.
Ghost types - May or may not have gone to Pokemon tower while in Kanto before he left on his trip and was swarmed by Ghastly.
    Claustrophobia.

Bio: "Hiya there my friends, my name is Dilan and I'm from Fuchsia City in Kanto." Dilan has been sheltered all his life and barely went out as he grew older. All the experience he has comes from books or television. At least it was until he first started his journey as a trainer, sure he was like everybody else but what else could he do, he wanted to be free and chose the best path that he could have.

But unlike others, he didn't start his journey on Kanto but decided to go to Hoenn. Why did he pick Hoenn out of all regions? Well, it had to do with how he had always been a fan of Steven Stone and he wanted to catch a Beldum so that he could train it into a Metagross. Plus he considered Hoenn the best region with the best gym leaders. Throughout his journey, many people used his gullible personality to have his bad stuff. At least until he found out. After his journey in Hoenn was over, he decided that maybe battling wasn't his calling so he went around studying many different types of jobs, but he never found any that he liked. He went from being a researcher, even working as a miner, but he always quit those jobs once he found them boring. Well if he was being honest, he always got let go because he was still too young to be working those types of jobs. Eventually, he decided to follow in the footsteps of his one true idol, Professor Oak, and become a Professor himself.

🌊 ELIO ABERNATHY-BARROWS 🌊

AGE
Nineteen (19).

PRONOUNS
He/Him.

HOMETOWN (region & town/city)
Hau'oli City, Alola, but he considers Pythiana, Santoris, his real hometown.

OCCUPATION
Part-time lifeguard. Pokemon Trainer, too, but only occasionally.

REASON FOR VISITING SANTORIS
He's not visiting, Santoris, it's his home! The festival is something he remembers having a lot of fun at so he's very eager to go to it again.

INTERESTED IN BEING THE CHOSEN 6?
He'd honestly love to be a hero, so yes!

DESCRIPTORS
Elio dyed his hair blue about a year ago and now it is one of the few things people recognize him for, although before the hair color changed his very green eyes were what people noticed most. He also has several friendship bracelets tied around his left wrist and his leftover punk phase earrings still hang out in his ears.

PERSONALITY
When one initially meets him, he comes off as very unassuming. This isn't to say he's dull or boring or uninteresting, but simply that he is shy. With people he is not familiar with he is reserved and unforthcoming, but even with that being the case it's easy to tell he's a nice guy. He's got a gentle aura to him and a sweet smile to offer to anyone, and he cares greatly about both Pokemon and the humans he is near at any given moment. This extends into the side of him that he shows to people he is friends with. Those he befriends get to see the less hesitant and more affable side of him, although he still does not share most of his secrets even with those he is closest to. He doesn't voice his personal thoughts often, however, he is more than willing to say if he thinks something is wrong or if a plan needs amending or if he has an idea. Feelings, though? About others? Or even about his own self? Nah. Elio'd rather learn more about anyone else than share anything about himself. This results in him being viewed as enigmatic even to his friends, which works out well for him, because he does not want people to really find out much about him. Not that he's hiding anything truly scandalous! He'd simply rather be viewed as a nice, quiet, sweet, unproblematic guy then how he was in the past.

VIRTUES
Although shy and soft, Elio is not a pushover. He stands by what he believes in and is loyal to his friends, and he is not likely to be tricked or manipulated into going along with something. He's intelligent enough to avoid falling for tricks and he has good intuition, which has yet to fail him. He attentive of his surroundings and the ways that people behave so that he can have a better understanding of things, so that he is better able to fit into whatever he needs to. He's not easily swayed but is open-minded and will consider several options or the opinions or wants of others. He's also practical and realistic but understanding, tolerant, and mostly considerate, as well as being somewhat, sometimes, but not always, trusting.

VICES
He's incredibly secretive. Like, very very secretive. He also can be very stubborn and bullheaded, though he will usually not make this easily known. He's nosy and curious and likes to keep mental notes on people and pry a little bit into peoples personal business, but he, again, would not make that very obvious. Because he was severely humbled and got into trouble when he was younger, he now struggles with his confidence and keeps a lot of what he thinks restrained. He doesn't want to say something wrong then upset someone or break the image he's created. If someone grinds his gears too much, though, then he may be very tempted to snap at them or even punch them. On top of all of this, he actually holds grudges but never lets anyone know that, and he can be quite manipulative in order to get something to work the way he wants.

FEARS
Caves. If the cave isn't too dark and deep then he might be alright, but he would much rather not go into one if he can avoid it. Toasters and toast, because he does not trust them anymore after one caught his parents kitchen on fire. Snapping and destroying the person he's worked hard to become.

LIKES
Pokemon (obviously), anything water related, the beach, boats, exploring/adventuring/traveling, his parents, reading, stories from other people, thunderstorms/rain, arts and crafts, people watching, making his friends happy, playing with his Pokemon, cooking, Alolan culture, bugs, most fruits and vegetables.

DISLIKES
Very deep water, know-it-alls, braggarts, flying, his hair, his personality, himself, people recognizing his parents, nosy/curious people that ask too many questions, people that worry about him, people not responding to him after a day, carelessness/recklessness, being stared at or observed, people mistreating Pokemon and strawberries. He also dislikes the allergy he has to cat-like Pokemon because he loves them but can't have them.

BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND
TL,DR: Elio's biological parents were well known marine Pokemon researchers based in Alola. He loved them a lot when he was a kid, but they died underwater when he was six years old. He was taken in by his parents friends, the Abernathy-Barrows, who are famous trainers, and ended up moving to Santoris that same year. He grew up in Santoris and was invited to go traveling with his family when he was fourteen, and he accepted the offer immediately. Several things happened during his travels, including him taking on several gyms in all the different regions and the Champion of Johto and winning, and also losing one of the most important Pokemon in his life, and he returned to Santoris at seventeen as an almost completely different person.

Born to two marine Pokemon researchers based in Alola, Elio grew up surrounded by sand, sea, sun, science and ice/water-type Pokemon. His parents lived at the research station and raised him there, teaching him from a very young age all about oceanography, marine biology/mammalogy and chemistry. His parents were well respected and high ranking in the scientific community and had many international friends and colleagues, so there were often visitors to his home. During those times, his parents would sequester him away with the Pokemon in the study, so he was out of the way, because a very young four year old child would be incredibly distracting to all of those very important scientific meetings. His primary Pokemon guardians during those times were Bells, his fathers' Kommo-o, who was fiercely protective of him, and Amica, a research Quagsire, who was very gentle with him. He disliked being hidden from the adults and often spied on his parents and their friends (with the help of Pokemon) because of his insane curiosity and desire for socialization with those who were not related to him. On more then one occasion the colleagues/friends of his parents brought their own children along for their meetings and he got to play with them. One of these set of parents and their son would one day become Elio's new family, but he did not know this when he was a child.

His life in Alola was very good. Surrounded by loving parents and Pokemon and a tropical paradise, it was one of the best ways to grow up. Even though he didn't get to attend public school, instead being homeschooled by his parents, or go over to play at any other children's houses or explore outside by himself, life was honestly super great. It became less great when his parents decided, when he was six years old, that he was now old enough for them to leave him with a babysitter to go on expeditions. That honestly sucked. He wanted to go with them because he was not a fan of the babysitter they chose for him, but he was far too young to join them as they explored below the surface of the ocean in their submarine. He pouted about this decision and was not happy to be stuck at home with his dumb babysitter and all the Pokemon, but he got over it quickly and always was there to wish his parents luck when they left and greet them with hugs when they returned. They told him about their discoveries that he loved hearing about and brought along new Pokemon to research, and although they were gone for weeks sometimes, Elio didn't mind that much because he knew they'd come back with fun new stories to tell him.

Except for the one time that they didn't come back when they said they would. This time, they said they were going to explore a cave they found, because they thought it'd hold very interesting Pokemon. It was next to a valley among the sea floor and they were hopeful there'd be rare Pokemon inside of it. Instead of finding anything rare or exciting in there, all they found was death.

He waited for them to come back home. He didn't understand why they weren't responding to the messages his babysitter sent them. He didn't understand why they didn't respond to his own messages. He didn't understand why his babysitter cried when she was calling the cops and he didn't understand all the stuff that followed. What did it mean, lost at sea? What did it mean, unable to be recovered? What did it mean, he had no other family to come get him? His parents would come get him. They weren't gone. They'd be back soon, he knew. They were just taking a long time to come back to him. He kept believing they'd come back, until the day he got dressed in black.

The death of his parents made the news. He hadn't realized his parents were actually famous. His parents friends all attended the funeral. So many scientific people came. So many news people came. So many strangers came. He knew basically none of them, except for one boy and the parents of said boy who stayed by him and protected him from all the prying eyes. He heard them talking after the funeral about who would look after him now, who would take care of him, but that was less important then the researchers who were whispering about taking the Pokemon in the research station. They technically were owned by the company his parents worked for and it was fully in their right to take them, but Elio would not accept that.

When he was returned to his home by his friends parents, the Abernathy-Barrows and their son, he grabbed as many Pokemon as he could and hid their balls in his backpack, then threw it in his closet. He didn't have time to grab all of them before the researchers came and took away the rest of them. They asked for the other Pokemon that were there but Elio told them they had run away while there was no one here to watch them. This was a believable lie, and the grieving six year old managed to get away with stealing several Pokemon from a very big and important scientific company. He didn't realize that was what he was doing at the time, and to this day he still does not think that what he did was wrong. They were the Pokemon he grew up with and who his parents loved, so of course he was going to hold onto them, because he had nothing else left. He also found the balls of his parents own personal Pokemon and kept those, too, because he needed them to be with him.

The Abernathy-Barrows asked him if he wanted to live with them, after the researchers claimed the research station that was the only home he ever knew. He agreed, because he was friends with their son and he liked them and he needed somewhere to live. They moved him to Santoris and kept letting him stay with them and eventually decided they would foster him until someone else was able to take him in. This was strange, but the family was very supportive of him and got him into therapy, so it soon became a new normal. They decided to adopt him when he was eight and he wanted that, too, so it became official without any complications. His last name was changed and his adoption also made the news, because the Abernathy-Barrows were a famous pair of Pokemon trainers, with the father, Corbin, being a member of the Johto Elite Four and the mother, Felicity, being an international trainer/coordinator with several titles attached to her name. Because of their fame and traveling, they had teachers come and homeschool both of their children, but the homeschooling this time wasn't as bad because Elio had someone to share everything with.

Life was good again, and it continued to be good. He spent several years in Santoris and grew to love it even more than Alola, but then his parents asked him and his brother if they would like to travel around with them when he was fourteen. He said yes, obviously, because he loved the idea of going to different regions and catching Pokemon there and experiencing other cultures and challenging all the gyms. His brother also agreed, since he has always been Elio's toughest rival and closest friend, and the teacher of both boys had agreed to come with, so they set out. The traveling was somewhat of an accomplishment, because Elio managed to defeat the Champion of the Johto Lague and won against many Gym Leaders, but he views his traveling days as more of a disaster. He lost Bells to a terrible accident and got into fights and was arrested not once, but twice, almost thrice. Elio likes to call it his 'punk phase' and is glad he was away from Santoris when everything bad happened, although, admittedly, his punk phase started even before he left the region.

When he returned from his traveling at seventeen, he was quite different. Reserved and taciturn and gloomy, it was very obvious something happened while he was away from home. He kept to himself for a while, stewing in self-hate and pity, but his brother was able to pull him back to a better place and bring him back into the world. Since then, he has become who he is today, but he likes this person much better then the person that he was before, even if this person he has become is not entirely how he would really like to be.

PARTNER POKEMON
dewgong.png
Arbillus
Personality: The chill one. After the death of Elio's parents the then Seel became docile and mellow and affectionate, often escaping his dive ball to sleep next to Elio and lounging around whenever Elio woke up. He has kept this personality even after being trained and evolving into a Dewgong, but he will battle anything Elio wants him to, since he trusts Elio completely. He likes napping and playing with Elio's other Pokemon, often taking on the babysitter role for Kala'e and Rafta or even children on the beach. He's one of Elio's helpers for his job and he enjoys it more than battling. Occasionally, he will go diving to find treasures to bring back to Elio, as gifts.
Backstory: As one of Elio's biological parents research Pokemon, Arbillus has been with Elio the majority of his life. He was one of his parents' very first research Pokemon, after being discovered and caught in deep water outside of Shoal Cave. He had been abandoned by his family and was struggling to survive by himself, so being captured basically saved him. He was one of the Pokemon in charge of watching out for Elio when he was a child and he is the one who taught Elio how to swim. Back then, he was just a Seel, but he's always been incredibly protective of Elio. His life has been closely tied with Elio's and he is one of the Pokemon that Elio always has on his party. He's also been one of the biggest supports in Elio's life and Elio has been the same for him.
Ability: Icy Body.
Moves: Icy Wind, Aqua Ring, Ice Beam, Brine, Aqua Tail, Protect.

OTHER POKEMON

walrein.png
Glacius
Personality: The tyrant. Glacius was very close with Elio's biological parents and to this day still misses them badly. She was just a Spheal when they died, but their deaths impacted her and made her into something of a nightmare. She's confrontational and gets into tussles with Rafta and Breaker frequently, but she does not go after other trainer's Pokemon or humans. She has a desperate need for attention from Elio and will refuse to stay in her dive ball until she's gotten to spend time with him. With just Elio. She's fine without any of his other Pokemon coming out, although she does have a soft spot for Kala'e and doesn't mind Arbillus that much. She gets jealous easily and throws fits when she is unhappy, much to Elio's chagrin.
Backstory: One of Elio's biological parents research Pokemon. She's been with Elio through all of his ups and downs of life, and she much prefers to be his Pokemon than being a wild Pokemon. As a Spheal she was harassed and attacked often, and if Elio's biological parents had not taken her in, then she would have died. She owes her life to them, and when they died that debt was transferred onto Elio. She was dead set on not leaving Alola and went into the ocean to try to find them and only came out when Elio went in after her and almost got swept away by a current. She accompanied Elio on his travels and helped him win against many battles and she wants to go back out and fight more and more Pokemon.
Ability: Oblivious.
Moves: Ice Fang, Rollout, Brine, Blizzard, Earthquake.

floatzel.png
Rafta
Personality: The hothead. Even back when she was a Buizel, Rafta has always been a feisty fireball of energy. She is outgoing and extroverted and a troublemaker, often running head first into situations without thinking about much of anything. She does care about the well-being of others and throws herself in front of dangerous situations to protect Elio or his party or any of his friends. She has a fierce rivalry with Glacius and almost always wants to prove that she's a better fighter than the Walrein is, often fighting against her just to impress her trainer. She can focus very well when she needs to and is one of Elio's helpers for his job, which she quite enjoys, because she loves to play with beach-goers and help those who struggle in the ocean.
Backstory: One of Elio's biological parents research Pokemon, though she was a pretty new catch when they died, so she wasn't very close with them. She played with Elio's biological parents and eagerly went into the dive ball they showed her, and she was one of Elio's playmates back when he was a child, before the death of his parents. She got lost during Elio's travels, which was not a first occurrence, and was not there to help when Bells the Kommo-o got involved in the accident. She was found by Elio's brother and curled around Elio when she saw what happened and cried with him. She hasn't gotten lost since and has become much more reliable, though she is not a constant member of Elio's party.
Ability: Swift Swim.
Moves: Crunch, Swift, Aqua Tail, Scald, Iron Tail.

lapras.png
Breaker
Personality: The mischievous one. Unlike all of the regal and posh Lapras out there, Breaker loves to play around and trick or prank Elio and his party. He's rather sneaky for a big Pokemon and likes working together with Elio's other Pokemon to set up surprises for him. He also enjoys challenging Elio's party or other trainers, although Elio usually keeps him in his net ball so he doesn't get to initiate battles very often. He wants Elio to rely on him more but Elio has a rather complicated relationship with him, thanks completely to Breaker's ties to his biological parents. He's the Pokemon Elio uses now to get between the islands, but he doesn't have him help with his job.
Backstory: The Lapras was one of Elio's biological father's Pokemon, and Elio isn't entirely sure about most of his backstory. He knows he was found somewhere in Alola and he had been with his former trainer for quite a few years, but how they met is unknown to Elio. The history Elio has with Breaker is not very long, as he's only recently had the courage to bring him onto the party and battle with him. He took Breaker with him when he challenged the Johto League and was very impressed with the strength he had, which made Elio think that his biological father must have been a pretty good trainer.
Ability: Shell Armor.
Moves: Life Dew, Water Pulse, Body Slam, Ice Beam, Avalanche, Thunder Bolt.

Popplio.png
Kala'e
Personality: The sweetheart. Kala'e feels it is his responsibility to make Elio smile and if Elio is not smiling then he will do everything he can do to pull one out of him. This often means nuzzling against Elio, or making cute noises, or bouncing any number of things on his nose, or performing acrobatic stunts, or playing with his other Pokemon, or bringing another human over to elevate Elio's mood. When Elio is happy or at least not frowning, Kala'e is outgoing and very vocal and curious. He doesn't seek out danger but if he finds something weird he'll bring his trainer over to it so they can investigate it together. He prefers being held and carried to flippering around on the ground.
Backstory: Out of all of Elio's current team, Kala'e is his newest addition. He found the little guy when he was visiting Alola three years ago and befriended him after he got a beachball to toss back and forth with him. It hadn't been Elio's intentions to catch the sea lion; he simply wanted to play with him to make both of them happy. Kala'e followed after him and would not leave him even when he went to his hotel, so Elio offered a dive ball to him. He accepted gratefully and has been Elio's companion ever since, choosing to stay in this smaller form so Elio can more easily pick him up and cuddle with him.
Ability: Torrent.
Moves: Aqua Jet, Sing, Bubble Beam, Encore, Hyper Voice.

jangmo-o.png
Bells
Personality: The smartest one here. Bells is very quick-witted and adept at handling herself both in battle and outside of it, although Elio's overprotectiveness of her makes him rather blind to this. She's good at bringing together Elio's team to help him and she knows how to fight well from watching him train his Pokemon, but her limited experience with battling makes Elio use her pretty much never. She gets annoyed at the immaturity of some of Elio's other party members and is honestly the most mature one out of his Pokemon, right before Arbillus. She doesn't engage in the battles between Rafta and Glacius and she rarely plays with Kala'e, instead choosing to remain as alone as she can. She does this in retaliation of Elio babying her and refusing to use her in battle, but Elio has yet to notice this. Despite her annoyance at her trainer, she does understand that her mother was important to Elio and curls next to him and sleeps with him so he doesn't have nightmares.
Backstory: The Jangmo-o was hatched from an egg that Bells the Kommo-o laid, before the accident happened. Elio hatched her quickly so that the Kommo-o could meet her child, but he then kept the Jangmo-o in her ball for several months after Bells the Kommo-o died. He was unable to even look at her without remembering his biological father's partner Pokemon, but with encouragement and support from his family and his Pokemon he brought the Jangmo-o onto his team. He named her Bells in honor of her mother and has tried to train her but is terrified of losing her, so he only trains her against weak wild Pokemon or his other Pokemon. He has yet to use her in a trainer battle although she is more than willing to prove that she's strong and that he has no need to worry about her.
Ability: Bulletproof.
Moves: Dragon Tail, Headbutt, Protect, Dragon Claw, Dragon Breath.

Pokemon

  • 1653457472298.png
    Species/Type
: Pichu - Electric (This type allows Chu to prevent paralysis via ability or move)
    Nickname: Chu
    Gender: Female
Ability: Lightning Rod - Chu’s biology forces lightning from nearby to become drawn to her body, her body hardening to take the power of lightning without a sweat. Her pouches are far larger and more absorbent than the rest of her species without this ability, allowing her to draw in a 15 foot radius, absorb, and utilize the lightning within the Electric-Type attacks to boost the potency of her Special Attack. This ability gives better phone reception, even when there shouldn’t be any reception. It also causes Electric-Types to become drawn to this Pokemon with this ability if she is out of her PokeBall.
Appearance: Being a runt, Chu’s height and weight is less than that of her species (1’00” | 30.5 cm, 4.4 lbs | 2.0 kg). Instead, she is 8 inches (20.3 cm) and weighs 3 lbs (1.4 kg). Her cheeks also look a little thicker around her electrical pouches.
Nature/Personality: Timid | Chu is naturally shy, naive and quick to run off after assessing the sound as dangerous (even if it isn't). After getting to know someone, she’ll become bubbly and mischievous, playing practical pranks on those she deems as friends and just being a happy, silly ball of fluff. She is quite emotional though, unable to control herself when feeling a strong emotion, whether negative or positive. That’s due to her more psychological baseline as a Baby Pokemon. She will be more in control of herself and be less naive if, and when, she evolves.
History: Chu was born from league-fighting Pokemon from Nakano’s father, who raised Chu from infancy. Nakano aided in taking care of not only Chu, but other Baby Pokemon he had, but found herself more attached to Chu as they grew. Nakano received Chu as a gift from her father as soon as she reached the age of 10. The two of them rarely ever separated, going through thick and thin with each other and seeing each other at their worst. They’ve had fights, they made up, they supported each other, and they have both nearly died protecting each other as they journeyed alongside each other for years. Chu had helped find the rest of Naka’s team and was a welcoming hostess to Naka’s party. Five times Chu almost evolved, and each time she refused, preferring to stay as a Pichu. Nakano always thought this strange, but thought it was a comfort thing for Chu. In fact, there were plenty of times Chu should have evolved and it would have been easier for them if she had, but Chu stayed as a Pichu not because it was comfortable and she was used to it, but because she thought their relationship as best friends would change and Nakano would regard her differently if she had evolved. She thinks they’ll be together forever, her naive mind not realizing that time exists beyond the passage of day and night and that there won’t be a forever, but a human’s lifetime and that something can just easily whisk her away from right under her nose.
Moves: Due to Nakano being a bit creative, I will only be sharing the effects the moves do. Her Pokemon generally know more moves due to remembering them well. In-game equivalent level is 30.
Thunderbolt - Electric - Special - Has a 1/10 chance of paralyzing the opponent.
Volt Switch - Electric - Special - Deals damage and switches out the user, but won't if it misses. Can force a switch even under effects like Ingrain, Arena Trap, Shadow Tag, Mean Look, Spider Web, or Block.
Electric Terrain - Electric - Status - Electrifies the field, lasting for a 5 of my posts and affects all Pokemon that are grounded. Boosts the power of Electric-Type moves for those affected by 30%, prevents Pokemon from sleeping (Rest will fail, and so will being drowsy from Yawn), Rising Voltage does double damage, Terrain Pulse becomes Electric-Type, Nature Power becomes Thunderbolt, Secret Power may cause paralysis, Mimicry changes user of ability to Electric-Type, and Camouflage changes user to Electric-Type.
Magnet Rise - Electric - Status - Makes the user rise from the ground, making them immune to Ground-Type moves and Arena Trap for five of my posts. It is negated when Gravity is used, Smack Down hits, or when holding the Iron Ball.
Charge - Electric - Status - Charges up so the next Electric-Type move directly after will deal double damage. It also raises the user's Special Defense.
Thunder Wave - Electric - Status - Sends a weak jolt of electricity to paralyze the opponent.
Flash - Normal - Status - Makes herself shine in a bright light to lower the target's accuracy, temporarily blinding them. It can also be used to illuminate the darkness.
Helping Hand - Normal - Status - With increased priority, she shares energy with a nearby ally to double the damage their attack deals.
Return - Normal - Physical - Using the power of friendship with her trainer, Chu attacks. If she holds resentment for her trainer or she's in a bad mood towards her trainer, this deals less damage.
Disarming Voice - Fairy - Special - Hard to dodge and affects all adjacent foes, but can be dodged. Doesn't affect those with Soundproof. Can't be used if affected by Throat Chop's effect.
Charm - Fairy - Status - Lowers the Attack of the target considerably by pouting.
Nasty Plot - Dark - Status - Thinks nasty thoughts and dirty schemes, raising her Special Attack considerably.

PRONOUNS

He/him

HOMETOWN
Galar, Wedgehurst

REASON FOR VISITING SANTORIS
A much-needed vacation

BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND
Born in the little old town of Wedgehurst, Matt has always dreamed of excitement. He was constantly staying up late watching internet videos of racing, parkour, and of course, Pokemon battling. He felt it was one of his true callings and at the age of 14 he participated in the minor division in the Galar league. He never finished it, only ever getting 5 gym badges in this division, but it was a much-needed experience, and still managed to impress some powerful folks looking for a new rookie that could shake things up for cheap. So, he was signed onto the Braven Bravaries where he has a pretty long career in Pokemon battling and adventuring, with the new resources provided to him he was able to barely scrape by to reach the pokemon league in the major division. Even won a match, but didn't get far into the tournament. But his more energetic personality and rather unique way of fighting quickly gained him some fans which lead the Braven Bravaries to begrudgingly renew his contract. Thankfully for his sake, Matt improved quite a bit on his other adventures and even participated in other major league tournaments like Indigo, Sinnoh, and Unova; frequently reaching farther the more tournaments he did with few exceptions here and there. He made quite a few friends they rubbed off on him, while he was partially in it for the glory, he had an absolute blast traveling with other trainers or just exploring the regions.

While his battling improved, his personal behavior began to mellow out. He wasn't as hyper as he use to be, while he kept some of his sarcastic twangs, he became more mature, and tried his best to act like a good role model. However, that would mark his own little descent into obscurity. While he was making some higher rankings, his fanbase began to either move on from enjoying pokemon battling or grew tired of seeing mediocre trainers in their eyes. If you aren't winning Championships, do people really consider you good? This began to strain the relationship between the Braven Bravaries and Matt. It all came to a head when he was actually in the Galar league again and surprisingly managed to make it to the quarter-finals only to get basically crushed by a rookie trainer, it was embarrassing for Matt, his more dedicated fans, and especially the Braven Bravaries. What rubbed salt in the wound further was the fact that the rookie lost in the finals. They refused to renew his contract, and kicked him to the curb. He never got to have a graceful retirement, only forced one at least on paper. Nothing is technically stopping him from continuing but his ego was rather shaken up. Both by losing to the rookie, and just being tossed to the curb like he was nothing.

He needed some time to reevaluate some things. Whether he's truly as great of a trainer as he thought he once was. Make no mistake, he still enjoys pokemon battling, traveling, and meeting new people. But to himself, he feels that his own personal worth has been brought into question and it's a new feeling he's never had to encounter. So, he decided to take a little vacation. To hopefully renew his spirits and get that fire burning once more again!

3-5 PERSONALITY TRAITS
While not as obnoxious as his earlier teen days, he has still kept some of that sarcastic twang that he's never been able to outgrow. Making some light jabs at some people and the situation at hand. Never purposefully mean-spirited, though sometimes he may be breaching a line that wasn't meant to be breached here and there. But he is still nurturing, he'll often be the first one to realize someone needs some emotional support, and even though he has his own issues he'll try to provide for others. This doubles so for his own pokemon, he truly loves each and every one of them. He's bitter that he can never take more than six at a time, but he tries to spend an equal amount of time with them. That being said, while he has matured from his youth days he can get pretty frustrated easily, Not so much from battling but from the more mundane everyday things like trying to figure out how to open a sealed cardboard box with no box cutter. Though he can still get agitated from certain things happening in fights. But at the end of the day, he tries to be more carefree, acting more like a free-spirited type of fellow. Of course, that bit of personality has been repressed a tiny bit due to his own ego-filled trauma. But he'll also try to repress his own self-loathing to himself.

3-5 VIRTUES
He is fearfully loyal to his friends and pokemon, always living by the motto of "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours"
He understands compassion and isn't quick to judge people when they make mistakes, often focusing on moving forward-at least to other people.
He's pretty inventive when it comes to his own battling style, he doesn't just call out moves and hope for the best, he'll use the terrain as a form of combat, to use moves in different ways that don't directly attack his opponents. He's always trying to change his style of combat in order to remain a bit unpredictable.
He's always ready for action, he could be resting and relaxing but the moment something sounds fun to him he will drop everything thing he is doing and go do that thing. So it makes him a rather good buddy to tag along with.
Believes that everyone has potential and can push past those limits to greater heights.

3-5 VICES
He's very reserved when it comes to his own personal problems, letting them build up inside like the move toxic, the more he dwells the worse he feels and he is rather stubborn to talk about his own issues.
He can be rather stubborn, often trying to things one way, this is apparent in his fighting style, while on the surface it seems unpredictable, a lot of fights could end quicker if he was more straightforward. He doesn't have a great gauge on the best time to unleash savage blows unless it is plain dead obvious.
He loves to talk, he'll talk up a storm and unless someone tells him to literally shut up, even then he probably won't stop talking.

3-5 FEARS
Fading away in obscurity is one of his own fears, he wants to make a mark and he doesn't feel like he's been able to do that.
He doesn't like spider pokemon all that much.
He's actually sorta formed a fear around rookie trainers as weird as that sounds. He'll spare if he has to but he'll cancel the match without finishing it claiming "Ah that was a good training session for ya wasn't it?" He doesn't mind losing battles, just losing to rookie trainers.

3-5 DESCRIPTORS
(outfit is very similar to the anime picture just with a few color changes)

He has long brown hair that he covers up with a black and orange baseball cap, usually wearing it backward. Normally his battling attire consists of an orange shirt with a back jacket with the number "075" on the back of it. Orange fingerless glove on his right hand and a black fingerless glove on his left. Black tinted jeans and some orange and black shoes. However, his vacation attire is pretty varied. From colorful graphic tees to actual polio shirts and shorts, he's pretty much dressed for a lot of occasions. He has brown eyes, is 5'8th, weighing around 160. When he isn't wearing his hat, his hair makes him look like a bit of a rockstar but he doesn't like wearing it without his hat because then his hair bangs cover his eyes.

OCCUPATION
Pokemon Trainer
PARTNER POKEMON
Hitmonlee
106Hitmonlee.png

Hitmonlee was actually Matt's first pokemon, or rather when he was a Tyrouge. When the two met they fought, not like emotionally but they wrestled one another. Matt didn't have any pokemon at the time. They bonded in their little scuffle and became partners. Tyrouge wasn't the pokemon that gave up easily, always trying to push past its limits. This obviously resonated with Matt, and these two are rarely apart and grew a strong bond that still stands today as a Hitmonlee.

Hitmonlee while a go-getter, is actually milder than and calmer than Matt. He can be seen often meditating and trying to use his own smarts to figure out solutions. But he has complete trust in Matt and will follow whatever order he throws out with no hesitation. He can be a bit indifferent at times, usually shrugging if Matt asks him a question.

OTHER POKEMON

Raichu
26-Raichu.png

In his journey through Kanto, Matt managed to discover a little Pikachu. Like Tyrouge before him, he was quite the go-getter. In fact, he was the first one to attack Matt, but this eventually led to him getting captured. But they seemed to sync up really quickly, their personalities were basically the same- at least when Matt was a teenager.

Raichu is quite ready for any fight. He'll often jump at the chance to fight anyone, whether he has a type advantage or not. One thing that makes him rather unique is his affinity for physical attacks. Raichu doesn't like using his more long-ranged attacks, not for any traumatic reason, he just rather run up and punch his foes. He can be seen often flexing and taunting his opponents, this usually leads to him getting KO'd

Knoctowl
164.png

Knoctowl, Hoothoot at the time, was Matt's second-ever pokemon. Despite the disadvantage, Matt managed to prevail over a flying type and added her to the team. She's quite but also affectionate in her own way. When she gets the chance she will fly on top of Matt's hat, then take off with it. This leads to Matt getting frustrated but he can't help to get mad at her for long.

Copperajah
879.png

Raising her from an egg to become a massive powerhouse, Cooperjah is able to turn the tide of battling when she gets launched onto the field. That being said, she doesn't like fighting small pokemon. She fears for her own strength and she can't comprehend something to be so small. She also tries to stand 20 feet away from Raichu.

Torkoal
324.png

Torkoal is pretty relaxed, in fact, he's not much of a fighter on Matt's team. Torkoal was caught while he was sleeping, and Matt realized that he has little desire to fight anything. But he can be a nice makeshift cooking stovetop.

Lombre
271.png

Lombre is quite the party animal and will be the first one to cause trouble if he gets his pawns on any Pinapp berries. Matt hopes to mellow him out on the vacation...but it might be in vain.

IN PC BOX
Scolipede
545.png
Scolipede was a pretty amazing find for Matthew, finding her in Pinwheel forest as a shiny Venipede. She was quite weak however in her earlier stages, but with love, compassion, and dedication, she was able to evolve into the strong powerhouse that she is today. Unlike Copperajah, she holds nothing back when it comes to fighting. Aggressive and to the point she will barge through any obstacle like an unstoppable force. She is a bit more reserved to other people and pokemon, often walking away from those who approach her. She likes Matthew though, and that's the important thing.

Roserade
407.png
Roserade is an interesting Pokemon personality-wise. He's seemed to take up the persona of a superhero-type figure. Always the first one to action to defend those who are weaker. He's overactive, always trying to make a flashy entrance and attacks. But his heart is in the right place.

Octillary
224.png
The best word to describe Octillary is clueless. In fact, him getting caught was literally an accident. He was just rummaging through Matt's bag and accidentally clicked a Pokeball button. Matt didn't even realize he had him for a bit. Yet, he's also quite a bit of a jack of all trades moves-wise, is he really that oblivious or has it always been an act?

Druddigon
621.png
This pokemon is quite prideful, often thinking he's the strongest pokemon around. But despite being proven otherwise on countless occasions, he's never deterred. When he isn't battling he can be seen relaxing and doing his own thing.

AND MANY MORE!
But those Pokemon won't be a part of this story.

(Moves, and Natures to be determined with more clarification also at the time of writing this it is 12 o'clock and I wanna go to bed lol.)
INTERESTED IN BEING THE CHOSEN 6?
If you think it could be a good fit, sure why not. It doesn't matter to me. Chosen one or not, I can adapt to it :3
Writing Example
A sunbeam illuminates a room from a window, on the walls, you can see various awards and pictures. Suddenly, the door slammed open, a young adult kicked the door, and chucked a box onto a bed. He grumbles, walking towards a desk and opening the drawers. "Box cutter, box cutter, how do you not own a pair of box cutters?" The person trainer rummages through the draws, he suddenly stops and slowly looks at an ID card. It's an old trainer card, with a young teen in the frame. "'MATTHEW MAROON' in association with the Bravely Bravaries" He stares at the card and lets out a long and drawn-out sigh. He begins to have a flashback to his meeting.

Matthew walks into an office and closes the door behind him, it's colored with red and blue colors, with various awards on the walls. A portrait of trainers could be seen next to the wall, all other trainers that were a part of the "Braven Bravaries" Matthew's portrait was mysteriously gone. his heart was racing a bit, he wasn't used to such anxiety. It seemed that after his crushing defeat a lot of circles have just begun to turn their back on him. "Ah, good you're here, sit down," A bigger man said, looking at a newspaper without even glancing at Matthew. He had a normal suit on, his tie was the variation in color, that being a dual red/blue color scheme. A gold-plated name tag lays on his desk ROB ROBERTS Matthew sat down on the seat before he could get a word in edgewise, Rob began to speak. "alright, let's make this quick, your contract ended, and you're fired. Get out of my office." He quickly and efficiently berated, still without looking away from his newspaper. Matthew just sat there in shock, a little dizziness, and a mix of other emotions. It all just came at him so fast, that his brain couldn't process the information that was thrown his way. Rob finally turns his head to Matthew, with a curious but obviously annoyed look on his face. "Did I stutter?" Rob asked, "No, no-no you didn't stutter I'm just..." Matthew struggled to try to finish what he was trying to say, stuttering and making longer pauses in his speech. "No, I understand you're a great speaker but with everything I've done I didn't expect to get thrown out... like this?..." Matthew finally finished. Rob face grew more annoyed, his head tilted downwards "Was that speaker comment meant to butter me up? No, I'll you what Matty, have you been reading the news articles about the tournament?" Rob demanded, Matt, shook his head, "To be honest, I haven't been paying attention too much." Matthew said, "Yeah, yeah of course you haven't." Rob slams down the newspaper on the table, the main headline plastered on front 'NEW ROOKIE SENSATION CRUSHED COMPETITION'. Mathew picks up the paper, he glances at it for a few seconds before dropping it on his lap. "Sir, this is a tabloid article!" Matthew, now growing more irritated at this whole situation. "Doesn't matter, you lost, people read the tabloids, and I'm tired of you being connected to us." Matt finally rose from his seat and rested his hands on the desk. He was angry, he felt tossed to the side, not giving his due credit, and to be stabbed in the back like this, after all the things he's done to appease this company, he finally lost it. "I lost multiple times yes! But I've grown consistently and constantly get higher placings than I use to, in fact, all the trainers under this company haven't won a single championship, and most companies don't have trainers that win the championship. I've been with this company for a long time, I was the main reason why The Braven Bravaires became a bigger name!" Matthew snapped, his hands making various erratic movements as he spoke, almost knocking over a lamp at one point. Rob stared at his and simply chuckled, he opens a drawer and pulls out a long list. It seemed to have a bunch of different brand names and sponsorship deals plastered onto them. "You did kid you were very profitable, for the first five years. We've lost many sponsorships and gained very little after this 5-year mark, you're an old has bin, most trainers your age retire and do other things like being a gym leader, or... other things-look I don't care." Rob said dismissively, "Yeah, so, this whole thing isn't about the money, it's about the love for the sport, making friends, and trying to be the very best!" Matthew retorted, "It's not about-" Rob began to speak before scoffing, "Alright kid, get out of my office. We are done here." Matthew's angered expression, quickly changed to sadness, "But sir-" "YOU'RE FIRED" Rob snapped, raising his voice at Matthew, he took back the list of sponsorships and threw it back in the drawer, slamming it shut. Matthew, stood there, feeling numb. Finally, after what felt to be an eternity, he turned around and headed for the door. He reaches for it, but the door opens by itself. The person who opened it was a youthful kid, the two locked eyes and they stared at one another for a few moments. It was the rookie, the same one who crushed him in the semifinals. It seemed fate wanted to punch Matthew in the gut one last time. Matthew, gave a loud, exasperated sigh, before brushing past the rookie before they got in a word. Rob could be heard in the background, his voice fading as Matthew got farther away. "Ah, good you're here! I'm glad you decided to take the time to look at our company, I know you've just been flooded with requests-"
Matthew snapped back to reality, his hands begin to grip the ID card, causing it to bend in his hand. He then chucks it across the room, slamming it against the wall before sliding it to the floor. "Yeah-yeah just-just-just rub more salt in the wound Arceus why don't you. Remind me of my failures!" His hands gripped his face and he begins to massage it, rubbing his cheeks to his temples. A figure walks into the room, it was Hitmonlee. He holds up a pair of scissors and hands them to Matthew. He looks at the scissors and gives a little chuckle. "You know those aren't box cutters you know. Getting the tape off these will be a pain-and let's not forget the residue." Matthew grabs the scissors and walks over to the box. He stabs it and quickly pulls the object down the tape line. Placing the scissors on his bed, he finally opens up the box and pulls out a single ticket. "You know, I wonder who was the brainiac who decided to put a single ticket into a box?" He smiled, Hitmonlee closes his eyes, seemingly to make a pleasing impression. "We needed this," Matthew said, Hitmonlee quickly shook his head and pointed at Matthew. "Well, you guys are coming with me regardless" He gave a snarky, yet pleasant scoff. "Well, let's be on our way," He walks over to the door frame and turns around to see Hitmonlee picking up his trainer's ID card. "No-no please don't," Matthew interjected. Hitmonlee walks past him, giving a small shrug while holding the card. Matthew pauses for a few moments, only to give a small smile before he closes the door to his room.

Kyle | Harstung

AGE (16+): 21

PRONOUNS: He/Him

HOMETOWN: Olivine City, Johto
REASON FOR VISITING SANTORIS: Kyle has come to Santoris to visit the upcoming festival as well as continue his training to one day take over the gym in Olivine City.

BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND
Kyle was born in Olivine City in the Johto region, his father works as the current gym leader in the city and his mother worked at the local pokemart. At the age of 6, his father gave him a Pokeball and told him that there was a surprise inside of it. He was curious and most children are excited to get a gift. He looked over the Pokeball a few times not really sure how to open it. After a few moments, his father pointed to the button on the front of the ball which he pressed. A moment later a sheep-looking pokemon was now in the middle of the yard a few feet from him. His father told him that the pokemon was called a Mareep. Which Kyle named Khan, the two would forge a strong bond rather quickly with the pokemon and would play with it every day.

As he got older his father started to teach him how to be a trainer and was taught to respect all pokemon and to treat them kindly. He would spend hours at his father's gym as he watched trainer after trainer come and battle his father. Some of them won and others not so much. Eager to get to battle as well, he would battle with his father from time to time. Though he always lost every time and would battle with the other children around his age. He had a lot more success with that and eventually at his Mareep evolved into a Flaaffy the second evolution of Mareep. He had been told about pokemon evolving but he hadn't seen it happen until now.

At the age of 13, he set off on his pokemon journey with the goal in mind to one day beat his father in a battle. He traveled from gym to gym challenging the other gym leaders and finding some success and failures as well. By the time he returned to Olivine City he felt very confident that he would be able to beat his father. With a team of six pokemon under his belt and the newly evolved Amphros he thought he couldn't lose.

The first battle he lost with his father, who put an end to his winning streak that had lasted for the last two gyms. Though he lost he wasn't about to quit yet, so he trained for the next several days to battle other trainers as well as wild pokemon that eventually on the third battle with his father he won and received the badge. He would go on to fight in the Johto league though in the semi-final round he was beaten. He was glad he had made it that far but he knew that he had a long way to go.

Over the next several years he would travel to other regions participating in their leagues or the equivalent. Upon his return from the Sinnoh region, his father told him that one day he could take over the gym. But before that, he needed to experience the world some more and learn more about the pokemon in it. He even did a festival or two just to see how they were. Though he learned very quickly that he didn't really care for them. Now his journey has taken him to Santoris where a festival of celebration was going to happen soon.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Kyle loves to travel the world and see new things, which he has done for the last 8 years. He will talk to just about anyone regardless of who they are. He has traveled alone since the start of his journey and lacks a bit when it comes to working in groups with other trainers. With that being said he doesn't lack empathy. He does like to joke around with people that he knows as well.

3-5 VIRTUES: He will always help those who ask him for help even if it puts him in a rush to complete his own personal task. He is a hard worker and will not give up on something until he has used every means available to him. He will also place himself in harm's way to protect those he believes will not stand up for themselves.

VICES: Competitive, stand-offish at times, lacks teamwork with others most of the time, and blunt.

FEARS Heights, haunted places, and getting lost in the middle of nowhere.

DESCRIPTORS: White hair, blue eyes, white top with a cape and a red string, black pants, fair-skinned, athletic build.

Atlas | Kollias

Age: 19
Gender/Pronouns: Male, He/Him
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Hometown: Santoris, Delphia
Occupation: Pokemon Trainer
Chosen Six?: yes, if possible

Appearance: Dark black hair covers most of Atlas's head with it reaching to the base of his neck and bangs that often obscure his vision. Behind them lies eyes as blue as the sea, his skin is fair, though it can tan depending how long. He stands at an average height of 5'10 with a rather average build though he has gained some muscle from all the odd jobs he's taken which has also lead him to have pretty callused hands. Clothing wise Atlas has a pretty limited scope, most of which are hand-me-downs, worn out, or anything in between. It's not uncommon to see rips and tears or patches from completely different fabrics on his clothes. They're not filthy by any means, they've just seen some better days.

Background: Born on Delphia Island Atlas's father was a sailor, a jolly man who would tell stories of the voyages he went on and the places he's been. While not a trainer he would partake in Pokemon battles as a hobby and brought this passion into a young Atlas who'd soon be obsessed with battling and the Pokemon league. His room would be covered wall to wall with league posters and books regarding training and battling. When Atlas was 12 he was gifted his first Pokemon, a Gible which his Father found on a trip to Sinnoh. The two quickly became inseparable and whenever you found one the other would surely be there.

Though shortly after that Atlas's father would go on his last voyage with news of his vessel being lost at sea. Atlas and his mother still held hope that he was out there, but as the weeks turned into months and eventually years it became clear he wasn't returning home. Atlas's mother was a kind but sickly and tried her best to maintain their life but with her health quickly declining it wasn't long until they had to downsize into a smaller house outside of town and that was when Atlas had to step up, losing his childhood in the process.

As he grew older Atlas worked a number of odd jobs, most of which was manual labor or helping out neighbors in the more rural parts of Delphia, it was tough but he was willing to do anything to help his mother. He was often picked on by the other kids, usually for his worn out clothing or his now reclusive nature as a result of them. This caused Atlas to become more open with Pokemon rather than people, he wasn't scared to interact with people but he was more open to be himself around Pokemon. Though as he grew into a young adult Atlas's mother would convince him to follow his own dream of being a pokemon trainer, wanting her son to be happy and to be himself.

Personality: Atlas can be a different person depending on how comfortable he is around you. He might be 'average' or boring around strangers and even a little awkward around them, but his good nature still stands out. Around people he's comfortable around, especially Pokemon, Atlas will show more of his true self, and ambitious, passionate, scatterbrain. It's easy for him to ramble off about something that he enjoys or really about anything if you give him enough space. He is a determined individual who will see his goals to the end, whether or not that is good or bad is up for debate, but he often gets himself in situations where he's way in over his head.

Atlas is also a bit self conscious from the bullies from his childhood, so he's constantly aware of how his appearance isn't the best, how his clothes are worn out, torn, and that he's obviously not the most well off financially. And he constantly worries how other people view him. This also makes him pretty hard on himself for every mistake or every battle he loses, even if it was out of his control.

With a groan the boy rolled over to look at the alarm clock sitting atop his nightstand and with a groan he pulled himself up, swinging hims legs off the side of his bed, the floor boards creaking as his feet met them. Atlas's room was small, barely having enough room for his bed, desk, and dresser. Along the walls Pokemon and league posters were haphazardly placed along the walls, and a number of Type match ups and basic trainer books were placed on his desk, covered in a layer of dust. His Pokemon Gibs was curled up in the corner of the bed, not even stirring as her trainer got up from his bed and let out a groan as he stretched. Opening his door Atlas was met with the smell of pancakes and syrup and after following it he found his mother making breakfast.

Making his way beside her Atlas would pick up some unwanted dishes, "you feeling alright?" he asked her while placing some of the dishes in the sink, she returned with a warm smile, "Well enough to make you breakfast," She replied before flipping a pancake on the pan.

Atlas let out a little chuckle before a envelope on the table behind them caught his attention. Turning around to get a better look at it he noticed it had his name on it. Picking it up he turned to his mother with a puzzled face, "what's this for?" He asked while flipping the envelope around to get a better look at it. His mother paused for a second, turning off the burner she placed the pan down before turning to him, "I think you should open it up and find out," She told him, a mischievous look in her eyes.

Still confused Atlas opened up the envelope and out came a trainer's license and a good sum of PokeDollars. A mix of emotions swelled in Atlas, he knew what was about to happen next. "I pulled a few strings and called up some old friends to get you a certification," she said warmly, placing her hand on his shoulder as he stared at them. Atlas felt excited as if his long dead dream was now burning brightly, but also a feeling of dread and guilt he can't just get up and leave his mother.

His guilt overcame his excitement as he shook his head, "I can't accept this mom, you need this money more than I do," He pleaded pushing the money towards her but he felt her grip slightly tighten on his shoulder, "You need to follow your dream Atlas, I can see it's hard for you," She said, looking right into his eyes, softly pushing the money back to him. He could feel his eyes start to water, "but what about you? I I can't just leave you here, what if something happens to you?" He said before his mother pulled him into a hug, "It's okay, I can handle myself," She finished as the two broke the hug and Atlas wiping on of his eyes, a newfound surge of passion swelled in him.

"Alright!" He announced confidently, slapping his cheeks to focus himself. "I'll become the best trainer Santoris has ever seen, and then you won't have to worry about anything!" He finished before sprinting back to his room and a few minuets later coming back out fully dressed, bag slung over shoulder, and a half-asleep Gible in his arms. Racing through the kitchen he stopped right before the front door to turn back to his Mother, "If anything happens I'll come back no matter what, I'll swim to Delphia if I have to!" He announced before racing out of the doorway.

OUTFIT
Emilia almost exclusively wears white and blue colored clothing. Her favorite outfit and the one she wears most often is a white dress accented by blue ribbon. She even made a belt out of extra ribbon to strap things to. Right now she just has her music player stuck to it, but she's already prepared spots to stick her pokeballs to for when she's a real Pokemon master. Emilia loves listening to her music, so she's usually got her headphones on her head playing something or another. Her sandals and her music player were specially designed to match the brooch she always wears, a gift from her mother.
MY TRUE SELF
PERSONALITY
Emilia's personality isn't exactly one of her best qualities. All most people will ever see of it is the typical stuck-up rich girl persona she loves showing off. She's cold to new people and doesn't like interacting much with people she doesn't need to. If someone serves no purpose to her, there is no purpose for her to talk to them. She's going to become the champion after all, dealing with weaklings will only slow her down. That said, she is truly a rich girl, and quite a bit of her persona is just how she really is. Emilia is naive about so many things, but rather than playing it off and pretending she knows more than she does she's far more likely to admit her mistakes and learn from them. She is proud, but her desire to grow stronger always comes first, and she knows that won't happen if she can't admit faults and take action to fix them. One doesn't become the best by being stubborn and refusing to change. The quickest way to earn Emilia's recognition, if not respect, is to beat her soundly in a Pokemon battle. That pretty much guarantees she'll return in the future for a rematch after she's trained and prepared better. A true champion cannot leave any mark against them go uncorrected. Sometimes others, and even Emilia herself, lose track of the fact that she is still a young girl. The only ones she really lets see her softer warmer side is her parents, no one else. She secretly loves cute Pokemon and thinks contests are amazing. But cute Pokemon aren't strong, and contests won't make her Pokemon stronger, so she refuses to waste time on them. A true champion doesn't waste time on weak Pokemon or trivial activities.

STORY
Emilia's mother is a famous singer, her father a successful businessman. Needless to say, she hasn't had to deal with failure very often in her life so far. Her mother left six months ago to tour around the world, one of her longer trips but nothing particularly new. She left on those kinds of trips every so often. Sometimes Emilia got to go see her when she was in far-off places, which was always fun. When she was really little her father and her had gone with her mother on the entire tour. It's still one of her more precious memories. Speaking of her father, he's truly a wonderful man and a loving father. No matter how busy he may be with work he always takes time out to spend with his daughter. He buys her whatever she wants and spoils her of course, but he also just spends time with her, takes walks around the city with her, shows her all kinds of Pokemon, reads stories to her. Those stories of mythical Pokemon just waiting somewhere out there, for someone strong enough and worthy of their power to appear stuck with Emilia through the years.

But what really set her mind on becoming a great Pokemon trainer was seeing the Johto Dragon Pokemon gym leader battling on television. At first she just watched her battles because she thought they kind of looked similar, a little bit, but Emilia fell in love with watching Claire's battles. Her Pokemon were incredible, and she was so confident, and she was always so dignified whether she stomped her challenger or even if she lost. The Blackthorn City gym leader became young Emilia's idol. Her parents had always told her that she could do anything she wanted wit her life, and they weren't very surprised when she said she wanted to leave on an adventure to become a Pokemon trainer. What did surprise them was the ambitious words that followed. "But not just another weakling, I'm going to be the champion, one so strong that even champions from around the world can't beat me." Her father laughed loud and hard. "That's my girl! Nothing less than the world is enough for her!"

REASON FOR VISITING SANTORIS
A 24-hour tournament is a great place to measure her current strength and skill levels against a variety of trainers. Win or lose she needs a baseline in order to track future improvement.

INTERESTED IN BEING THE CHOSEN 6?
Not particularly.
WRITING SAMPLE
It was almost the big day, in 24 hours she'd finally take the first step towards her dream. Well, less than 24 hours at this point. The sun was already high in the sky above Strivion Town, and Emilia had yet to extract herself from her overstuffed bed. She'd been awake for hours now, she was just finding it a bit difficult to take the next step. For all she knew this would be the last time she'd be able to sleep in as late as she wanted for quite a while, and she intended to enjoy it to its fullest. A beep interrupted her music. Someone was calling her. She pulled the caster she was using to listen to her music closer to see who it was, though there was really only one person who it really could be.

"Hello Daddy," she answered into the mic on her headphone's cord. "Yes, I arrived safely. No, I haven't had time to see much of the city yet." Not really a lie, she really hadn't found the time what with sleeping taking up so much of her precious time. "Eh, n-no, I'm not still sleeping!" Less of a lie since she was now sitting up in the bed. "Fine, yes, I mean no, I haven't left the room yet." She was quiet for a while her father lectured her about how she wouldn't be able to sleep the day away if she was really serious about wanting to be a Pokemon trainer, especially if she was aiming as high as she was. Didn't he see that was exactly why she was wasting this last day away? "Yes, don't worry about me. I'm prepared Dad. I know. I said I know. I love you too, tell Mom I do too." She clicked the button to hang up and fell back down onto the fluffy mattress with a sigh. "No Emi, you can't go back to bed. You have to get up." She took a deep breath. "Get up now!" Drawing on willpower to move her body she jumped out of the too comfortable bed.

About an hour later she was finally all ready to go. The sun was already on the second half of its trip across the sky by the time she finally emerged from the hotel her father had gotten a room for her to stay in so long as she was in the city. Emilia set off to spend the rest of the day she had left exploring as much of the city as she could. But first, breakfast. Not getting out of bed until past noon meant she'd missed the usual time one normally ate breakfast, but in a bustling town of this size there had to be somewhere still serving pancakes.
THE TEAM
PARTNER
VULPIX (ALOLAN) "KEO"
HOW THEY MET
It's already been almost three years now. Emilia was in Alola on vacation with her father. Her mother was performing for a festival on Ula'ula island, in the famous Malie Garden, and they were there to see it. Emilia remembers having a wonderful time travelling around the islands of Alola with her father, and her mother too when she was able to get away. The entire region was so beautiful, and all the people were so friendly. It's a truly wondrous place.

Well anyway, the day of the big concert to wrap up the last day of festivities, Emilia was doing some last-minute shopping with her father before they headed to the show. Her father was busy talking with the store owner about something Emilia didn't care about then and doesn't recall now, so she went outside on her own. Alola was a safe enough place for her to do that much. She remembers noticing that it had gotten foggy all of a sudden, and for the first time on the islands feeling a chill.

She saw him then, his bright blue eyes staring at her from out of an alley. He was so beautiful that she chased after him. He scrambled back down the alley, towards the other street. He stopped before leaving the alley though. The young fox just stood barely inside the alley's shadow, staring out. When it turned its head back towards Emilia and let out a pleading cry her heart just broke.

She knelt down in the alley and just hugged the pokemon as it whined for her to do something. It was a while before anyone really noticed the girl in the alley, they were too occupied dealing with the scene in the street. Some tourist had gotten drunk celebrating and gone for a drive. They hadn't even seen the white Ninetales when they'd hit it. Worst yet, the ice covering the street and the cold mist said it hadn't died right away. It was a tragedy, and that was before anyone found out it had been a mother.

Emilia didn't let go of that little fox for more than a second over the next few days. No one could make her, assuming anyone was willing to try. It was a local that suggested to Emilia's father that she keep and raise the fox, and after thinking about it a bit he gave er the choice. Of course she wouldn't leave it behind, it needed a mother. The locals of Alola have a name for the unique snowy Vulpix that can only be found on the islands: Keokeo. It means white. It's the name Emilia decided to give to the little fox.

She thought she'd have to constantly shower Keo with affection to cheer him up, but he proved to be much stronger than she'd given him credit. The Vulpix's curiosity and playful spirit brought it out of its depression in no time at all. In only a few weeks she found herself needing to scold the little fox for playing too much. There are still times when he seems to remember his mother, but mostly he's just an excited little ball of fluff and teeth with too much energy. But Emilia hasn't regretted her choice to raise the Vulpix even once. Not even when he froze her pillow or turned the bath icy cold or got sick and filled the house with snow. Actually that last one was pretty fun.

SNOM "NOMS"
HOW THEY MET: Emilia has actually had Noms far longer than Keo, it's just... he doesn't do anything, so it's hard to really call him her partner. Emilia had been asking for a pet for a while, so returning from a trip her mother dropped this guy in her lap, the most low-maintenance pet imaginable. After a period of being super excited, young Emilia quickly realized she'd been duped, and now she's stuck with a useless pet ice worm. Despite doing literally nothing, he always seems to find a way to cause trouble for his owner.
NOMS

HATTREM "GLOSS"
HOW THEY MET: While on vacation, Emilia watched a wild Hattrem pick up Noms and run off. So she finished what she was doing and then went to go get Noms back. She found Noms, used him to beat up the Hattrem, and dragged the Hattrem back to the hotel with her.

MAWILE "CHOW"
HOW THEY MET: Emilia lost Noms while on vacation and eventually found him in the mouth of a wild Mawile getting treated like a teething ring. She stole Noms back, used him to beat the Mawile up, and dragged the Mawile back to the hotel with her. It's hard to tell whether Chow and Gloss get along or hate each other.

TYRANTRUM "ZILLA"
HOW THEY MET: Emilia's father was worried about his precious daughter running off into the wild, so he paid an unreasonable sum to a museum to have their main attraction - a giant Tyrantrum fossil - revived and given to his daughter. Now she has an unbeatable pokemon with her and he can rest assured that she is completely safe no matter what happens. At least that's what her father had intended. The actual result is Emilia now has an uncontrollable giant dinosaur that constantly is going on rampages until she can freeze him and shove him back in his pokeball to never ever let out again, at least until he unthaws and breaks out again. And just to further annoy his trainer, he also keeps trying to eat Noms!

PRIMARINA "SONNET"
HOW THEY MET: Sonnet is actually Emilia's mother's pokemon. She had concerns about the monster her husband had left their daughter with, so she lent Emilia Sonnet to keep things from getting too out of control. Emilia is free to send Sonnet back to her mother whenever she thinks she can handle herself with her own team... including Zilla. It might be a while before she returns her mom's pokemon.

Potentially interested. Fitz doesn't know where life will take him. For many years he had seen himself finding success and building a career as an actor; aspiring to be a hero to a new generation of kids that would watch his movies. Since his downfall, he has been searching for a new path to follow.

Whatever happens, happens. Alon isn't really the type to care nor obsess over some kind of prophecy or to believe that faith has decided his path for him. As he has been all his life, Alon will merely rely on his own strength, his own determination and his own willpower to see where his own path eventually ends up. He will grasp and attain the lofty aspirations that he seeks and not rely on an outside force to predetermine that for him.

  • Reinamxregion.png

    NAME: Reina Cortez
    AGE: 19
    PRONOUNS: She/her
    HOMETOWN: La Paz, Mitztli Region
REASON FOR VISITING SANTORIS: Reina has been visiting different regions to try and improve herself until she feels worthy enough to become champion in her home region. Santoris is just another challenge for her to face. She hopes to learn from different cultures all she can to improve her skills and knowledge while gaining experience. .

    3-5 DESCRIPTORS

Reina comes from the Metztli Region (based on Mexico) and she is a pride patriot which shows on her personality and outfit. She wears a white long sleeved buttong up blouse over a black tanktop. If the weather is a bit chilly though she has a cream colored sweater with red and green stripes near the neckline. If the weather is too hot, she resorts to taking off her white blouse and tieing it around her waist. She wears gray jeans and black ankle boots. Around her neck she has a green bow with a red line in the middle of it, followed by two earings representing the religion that has the biggest presence in her home region.

What stands out from her physical look, would be her eyes. Reina has green emerald eyes, due to her ancestors coming from a far away region that attempted to conquer Metztli but in the end, they ended up mixing with the local natives. Because of this, Reina is taller and has lighter skin than most girls in her hometown, but around the world she could seem pretty normal. She is 5"6 in height and weights 141 lbs. She has a toned body due to training under a famous wrestler when she was growing up, she might look simple, but she can throw down.

INTERESTED IN BEING THE CHOSEN 6? Yes, but don't mind being a tag along oc either.

    OCCUPATION
Reina has gone from student, to wrestler, to professor aide and now a traveling trainer. She hopes to get an official position in the Pokemon League once she is done with her training and has learned her fill from the rest of the world.

    • Reina was born in La Paz, Mitztli Region. She was born to an upper middle class family, being the only child and the pride of her parents. She was educated in a all girls religious school up until the age of 10. She had a tough time trying to decide what to do with her life, wanting to be a researcher, cordinator and trainer. She decided to at least start her journey at the age of 11, getting a Mudkip as her first Pokemon. During her training she agreed to help out along with some other trainers, a local farmer who was faving trouble with his Tauros. The job resulted with Reina capturing the leader of the pack. Feeling a bit confident she decided to venture even further away from her hometown and get to know her region.

Reina traveled south were she became an apprentice to a professional wrestler known as Blue Demon. He was undefeated along with his shiny Hawlucha, which inspired the young trainer to want to be like him. Reina ended up getting her own Hawlucha, named after her master and training on and off, visiting him two or three months a year to continue her training until she was 17. However, during the rest of the year she would help her hometown professor, Professor Poncho, with errands, one resulting on her capturing a Lotad, and sometimes she would attempt to qualify for the Pokemon League, failing to do so everytime.

After feeling she needed to expand her wings more, Reina left her region and traveled to Kanto, expanding her team to a Dragonair, and a Clefairy. She did managed to defeat two GYM Leaders in Kanto, but after getting destroyed by Blue and Sabrina, she decided the Kanto League was, well, out of her league. This inspired her though, making her want to become a top trainer. Ever since she was little, she could ace any obstacle presented to her, sometimes she would struggle, but she always managed to overcome anything that stood in her way. The only thing she hadn't been able to accomplish was becoming a top tier trainer and that was her new goal.

The Metztlian trainer then continued her journey in Johto. Where she met lots of friends, captured some new Pokemon and got into some whacky and dangerous adventures. She managed to improve herself with new battle styles and techniques she learned from the local GYM leaders. Her team expanded even, capturing a Lapras, Lilligant, Misdreavus and evolving some like her Dragonair to Dragonite and Mudkip to Swampert. Reina managed to quilfy to the Pokemon League, but saddly lost in the top sixteen. The journey has given her new hope though, now with the age of 19, she is looking to travel even more to unkown regions and learn about the great cultures and traditions around the world.

    Age: 20

    Hometown: Goldenrod City, Johto

    Pronouns: He/Him

    Hair: Brown

    Eyes: Red

    Occupation: Pokémon Trainer, Former Gangster

    Face Claim:
    Samatoki Aohitsugi

Reason for Visiting Santoris: Wants to explore the region and learn its secrets while also getting stronger himself through the gym challenge and battling other trainers. The 24 Hour Pokémon Championship challenge on Athenia seems like a good way to test him and his team as well as earn a potentially bountiful prize.

Interested in Being One of the Chosen Six?: Sure, it could be cool if it happens, but there are probably better options.
