It was the mid afternoon there was a young woman sitting on a bench, she was in a bright green, long dress. Her hair was a blonde color, she had bits of freckles in between her eyes. Her eyes we're a dark green, on her ears we're flower shaped piercings, hidden on her right shoulder shows a tattoo of what looks to be of a Poochyena. The sandals she wore we're white, she looked to be relaxing as she slowly moved her feet. She was taking a break after walking a long way from her home in Rustboro.

She worked at a place called Bloombright Flora, that sold mostly flowers and various berries as well too. Her boss asked her to check a Greenhouse inbetween Mauville and Fallbador Town, even though she warned Imogen to be careful given her Pokemon. But Imogen didn't worry too much on it, her Swablu was enough. She trained Swablu ever since she was a teenager, which was her first ever Pokemon growing up. Unlike most kids she hardly cared for going out on a adventure to try to compete in the Pokemon League, even if the gym leader lives in the same town as she herself.

Imogen was waiting was for someone and she saw a small Pokemon fly down, it was her Swablu. She tweeted happily as Imogen smiled at her. " Is everything ok ? " she asked as Swablu nodded happily flapping in the air as it floated down to Imogen's head. She chuckled as she stood up, Imogen asked Swablu to check on the route towards the Greenhouse for anything suspicious and from what she saw from Swablu's reaction it seemed ok. And with that Imogen stood up from her seat as she walked towards the route to the Greenhouse, Swablu was often accompanying her out of her Pokeball while Roselia was kept in her Pokeball. Mostly cause Imogen only caught her a few days ago but that was because she was being attacked by some Nincada's. The two are close but Roselia was still too scared to even go outside right now.

María's first Pokemon. Julieta was hurt and crying when María found her; María hugged her, brought her home, and they were inseparable ever since. Julieta is cautious around new environments and experiences, but she can get really into something once she gets the hang of it. She's always looking out for her trainer. If it weren't for Julieta, María would probably have trouble sleeping soundly.

María'd only recently arrived in Hoenn. There was no reason for her to be here and not in her native Johto (or, well, adopted Johto, since she was actually from Mikan Island) other than to explore the unknown and gather new memories in a drastic way. Lately she'd been stuck in a sort-of rut and, on a whim, she'd decided to come here, to Hoenn. Needless to say, it wasn't going as well as she hoped. Well, it wasn't going badly either... it's just... she was still bad with maps! Even with all her practice!

"It's always," she let out a huff, "the same," huff, "bullshit, ugh," she cried as she walked the upwards slope that she'd gotten herself into and finally reached normal ground. Julieta, her Alolan Vulpix, was right beside her, and when they got to the top, she jumped on top of her shoulder and pet her. "Ah... I'm sorry, Juli, it's just... you know..." she trailed off. What even was it? Being angry wouldn't get her anywhere, would it? And Juli was right, she just had to keep trying... but sometimes, it was too hard. Well, hopefully her bad 'luck' would end now. She was back on track and (supposedly) ready to go again! She was heading towards, well, towards Lavaridge Town, apparently, though she couldn't see it anywhere and hadn't found it not even in the distance.

Today, the weather was terribly hot, at least for someone who wasn't accustomed to Hoenn's weather as María, and had chosen the wrong outfit: green baggy trousers (which, admittedly now, had not been the best choice in the rather scorching heat of the Hoennian North Forest), a red-and-black flannel shirt with a white blouse underneath, red sneakers, black socks, and her trusty brown backpack. Her vivid green eyes darted around in search of an opening in the forest; yes, she'd wanted to explore the forest... but not to get lost in it! Julieta followed close beside her looking for an opening too. But what they found was not an opening but... a Pinsir. Staring straight at them. They stood still for a moment. Oh, you must be kidding me. Both María and Julieta had scrapes all over their body and clothes and were pretty dirty and tired, too. They weren't in the mood for a fight. For that reason, María tried to slowly lifted Julieta off the ground and just bolt out of there to protect her, but Julieta stood her ground and launched an Ice Shard attack; it was fast, but the Ice Shards took its time to create and fall down on the Pinsir, who swiftly moved away. The Pinsir was agile and healthy, while Julieta was tired and weary, which was taking its toll on her moves. The Pinsir launched itself forwards with its scissors out to get Julieta, who barely managed to move away as she formed and Icy Wind, but the Pinsir was resilient and, though slowed down and slightly freezed, kept on pressing on. Julieta was growing tired, and María, not wanting her to get hurt, managed to grab her. "Leave her alone!" Then, on a whim, she kicked the Pinsir in the abdomen, only making it flinch... but angrier. So, the Pinsir bended down, and its pincers closed and opened, signalling it was going to start attacking. At that, María ran for her life.

She ran and ran through the forest, her trousers getting scratched and part of them almost tearing off, but she always kept Julieta well-protected, surrounded by her arms. It was after a while, probably ten minutes but what must have felt like an hour to María, that they reached some sort of path and ran to it. There, she tripped and fell to the ground, scraping her knees. When she tried to get back on her feet, she tripped again at the pain, and looked back at the Pinsir who was catching up. But she also noticed a bright green dress, a mass of blond hair... it was a girl with flower piercings and a Pokemon tatoo, and María didn't hesitate to just gulp down her pride and shout. "Help, a Pinsir's out to get us!" Maybe she roped the girl unwillingly into it but... I mean, what choice did she have?

Imogen was walking with Swablu as she sings a melody, " Mhmm, gonna catch them all. Mhm, mhm, gotta catch them all.." she hummed to herself as she walked and danced shaking her arms around with her hands rolled into a fists. Swablu was dancing with her wings, " Getting into the grove too, huh Sable ? " she asked her Swablu. Imogen had only named her Swablu, Sable for her Roselia she didn't really know what to give her for a name. Imogen wasn't too sure on having other Pokemon on her team. It's crossed her mind from time to time though, but then suddenly she heard a scream in the distance. " H-huh..." she stopped humming as her eyes went wide as Sable floated up. She heard Maria's screaming about a Pinsir as she put gripped her blonde hair with her hands, " P-Pinsir...oh dear, I hoped I wouldn't have to fight. Sable you said it was safe ? " she asked looking up at Swablu as Sable sighed. " I apologize..." Sable spoke but of course it was her Pokemon language. As Sable flew in front of Imogen, she looked ready to fight the Pinsir drawing closer.

Imogen looked at Maria coming to her, " I can help you !! " she yelled but then she looked at Swablu, " I hope..." she whispered to herself. The Pinsir looked agigated as it cryed out, it was still charging towards Maria that is until. " Sable ! Use Mist around the Pinsir !! " she yelled to Sable, She understood as she flew around Pinsir and slowly created a mist from it's fluff. Sable flapped rapidly in the air to make the mist surround more around the Pinsir. The mist enveloped only around them, but Swablu could fly so she flew up above until she was out of the mist. The Pinsir looked around it's surroundings slowly closing it's pincers then reopening them. " Ok...good " she whispered thinking as Sable turned around to Imogen waiting for her next command. " Mhm...I haven't battled in so long..." she thought thinking what her Swablu could do next, That mist wouldn't last forever now. The Pinsir within the mist started to harden it's body, in preparition for a attack. " Oh ! Sable use Gust next !! " she yelled as Sable chirped and began to flap it's wings fast as mini tornado fired out from her fluffy wings towards the Pinsir's direction.

The gust made direct contact towards the Pinsir as it was pushed back towards the ground, it had sustained cuts on it's body but thanks to hardening it didn't knock it down yet. But it looked slightly weakened as it jumped towards Sable, Then slowly opened it's pincers wide and gripped her Swablu into a tight Vicegrip, the Pinsir crashed down onto the ground slowly gripping down on Sable's body as it chirped loudly, Imogen looked horrified. " N-no Sable !! You gotta break out !! " she yelled out as Sable shook in fear for a bit, but then it remembered it's been in fights before with scarier bug Pokemon. It tried to extend out it's peak from the Pinsir's grip and peck down slowly down on it's long pincer. It was mustering what strength it had to break Pinsir's grip for even a little.

María nodded as she tried to get up. She held onto Julieta, not wanting any harm to come her way. She was trembling a bit, well, they both were, this was dangerous and unpredictable. Meanwhile, both looked at how the fight was turning out. A Mist was being formed around the Pinsir thanks to a Swablu's cotton. It was pretty neat, and María felt that that girl—of which she did not know the name—and her Swablu, that seemed to be called 'Sable' were very brave. The Pinsir looked disoriented as the Swablu flew above waiting for a chance to attack. A moment later, a strong Gust came from the Swablu's direction, its wings were flapping intensely and María watched in awe. María had stood up now, and Julieta was in her arms, watching intently.

The Pinsir, though showing cuts here and there, was still holding strong. And in a mad rush, it jumped towards the Swablu and gripped her forcefully! María made a grimace, and so did Julieta. At that moment they both realised they couldn't just stand there watching, doing nothing to help! It was outrageous. Sable, as the girl had called her, seemed to be holding out and doing her best to break the grip, pecking and moving around as the Pinsir held her in the ground. But the grip wouldn't let down! With no doubt in her eyes, Julieta jumped off from María arms.

"Vul, Vulpix! (Hang in there!)" she cried to the Swablu, and before María could even utter anything, she was already launching an attack. It was an eerie light ray of greens and purples and yellows that emanated from the Alolan Vulpix and was directed straight to the Pinsir. The bubbles of light all pinched the Pinsir one after the other, rounding beside it so that they wouldn't hit the Swablu. It was a Confuse Ray! María had no idea Julieta could do that, she'd never done it before nor had they ever trained with it. The myriad of lights confused the Pinsir, who slowly opened its pincers and let Sable go. The Pinsir stood there, confounded, but it seemed to be regaining consciousness slightly, looking around every now and then. But Julieta would not lose any more time! She had trouble staying up, and her breath was ragged, but she knew what to do. A chilling breeze formed around the area, and lots of snowflakes were forming all around the White Vulpix, before the Pinsir could react, all the snow and the chilling gust moved in its direction, freezing its pincers and its legs slightly. "Juli, you did so well!!" María crouched and hugged her instinctively, patting her head. But the Pinsir still held, standing there, as if trying to destroy the ice that crept up his body with some sort of hardening. It was tired, weary and hurt, but it wouldn't run.

Imogen's eyes worried watching Sable struggle in Pinsir's powerful grip, such faintly heard Maria call out her Vulpix to fight the Pinsir, " H-huh..."
she thought in her head, everything to her eyes happened in a blink as she saw beams of light head towards the Pinsir. " C-Confuse Ray..." she whispered recognizing the move, she watched Sable get out of the Pinsir's gripped as she looked up at her. Sable flapped her wings slightly weak showing light scratches across her body. " Sw-Swablu !! ( Thank you Frosty ! ) " Sable chirped with glee as she flinched a bit from the pain, she was still flying strong. As Imogen watched the fight, she felt the cold breeze that Vulpix let out as she shivered a bit. " I never seen this type of Vulpix before..." she whispered. She saw Vulpix run back to her trainer as she looked at Maria with a smile. Then back up at Swablu, " Sable ! Let's knock this Pinsir out while it's frozen ! Go for Disarming Voice ! " Imogen yelled out as she pointed her finger towards Pinsir. Sable closed her eyes for a brief moment as it opened up it's mouth slowly, it unleashed a loud voice, accompanied by large circles and tons of colorful music notes.

The voice bashed towards Pinsir as it was knocked across the field, it's icy state kept it frozen so it was basically stiff through out, The Pinsir was knocked head first into a tree as it's body started to slowly move again. It was looking weak, the Pinsir slowly began to stand but before it was going to counterattack, it crashed down to the floor with it's right knee layed down on the floor. Sable watched from the sky, as it stopped using it's voice. Imogen watched the Pinsir making sure it wasn't going to make any sudden movements.
" It seems like it won't cause too much trouble now, but it's still willing to fight though. Hm, " she turned her eyes to Maria as she walked towards her. " Hello, my name is Imogen by the way. As much I wish to fight this Pinsir I think we should get going while it's weak. " Imogen then waved towards Sable signalling it to come down." Sable ! Come on ! We need to get going, before the Greenhouse closes, ok ! " she yelled as Sable looked at Imogen with a annoyed look, wanting to keep fighting the Pinsir.

Imogen puffed her cheeks as she put her hands on her hips.
" Sable sure loves to fight, but mom told she was a fighter through and through..." Imogen mumbled, she then snapped her fingers as she had a idea. " Sable come down ! And I'll give you a Pokesnack !! " she yelled up as Sable's eyes looked less annoyed as she chirped happily understanding Pokesnack she then zoomed down towards Imogen as she crashed down towards Imogen's face. " A-ah !! " she yelled as she fell on the ground as Swablu crashed with her with it's wings fluttering rapidly out of excitement, cotton was floating off her wings as she chirped. " Swablu ! Swablu ! ( Pokesnack ! Pokesnack ! ) " Imogen sighed as she lightly pet Swablu's head as she grabbed her with her hands and stood up.

"Vulpix, Vul! (You're welcome, name's Julieta, though!)" María was still snuggling her Alolan Vulpix, Julieta, when she noticed the Swablu hovering overhead. It looked a bit hurt, though hopefully not too much, only mild scratches around her body. Then, a loud voice and music notes were heard by everyone as weird light circles hovered towards the semi-frozen Pinsir. It still seemed like it wanted to fight, but the Swablu wouldn't back down.

The Pinsir ended up frozen and rammed against a tree, it couldn't even get back on its own two feet! It seemed like the battle was over. The Swablu hovered above still, looking at the Pinsir should it try something funny. The Swablu seemed like she was eager to continue the fight, though. But before that could happen, the girl interjected and introduced herself. At that, María stood up with Julieta in her hands. "Hello, I'm María. Thank you for helping me fight this Pinsir and saving me and Julieta, I am indebted," she bowed slightly, "ah, this here is Julieta, my beloved Vulpix. It is a pleasure to meet you and... Sable, is it?"

The girl, Imogen, seemed pretty excited to get to 'The Greenhouse', whatever that was, and rapidly changed her focus to her Swablu, Sable. She made a cute pouty face as she scolded her, but she gave her a Pokesnack and it seemed like the Swablu was happy, at least because of how it chirped and all. In fact, so happy that she tumbled down with her trainer included and all when she was offered the snack. Imogen promptly stood up, though. María, meanwhile, just pet Julieta and watched intently. Suddenly, an idea occurred to her. Or, rather, two ideas. But first things first.

"Uh, Imogen," she called, in hopes of getting her attention, "would you mind if I capture this Pinsir? After all the trouble it caused, maybe it'd be the best, it seems like it wants to fight and I and Juli may be able to re-direct that energy of its to other endeavours or at least, better fights," she smiled and grabbed a Pokeball from her backpack. She glanced at Julieta, who chirped with doubt in her voice "Vulpix! (Sure?!)". María reassured her with a mumble that went something like "Well, we'll try and if not we can just let it out, right?" and a caress to her snow fur. Then, she glanced at Imogen, who seemed alright with the idea, and threw it towards the frozen Pinsir. "Pinsir! Pins--! (No, what are you--!)"

As the waited to see if the Pinsir would be caught, María spoke. "And also, would you mind if we... uh, escorted you until the next city?" In fact, it was María who needed escorting, but she couldn't bring herself to say 'tag along' and something along those lines and ended up blurting that lie out.

Imogen listened to her introduction as she had a gleeful smile, " Happy to meet you and Sable..." she grabs her up as Sable flaps out of her arms and lands on her head. Imogen shifted her eyes up as she chuckled a little, then she shifted her attention toward Julietta. " Is that a Vulpix..." she blinked in surprised, she never saw a Vulpix with light blue fur to her, how cute it looked to her. The ones she saw in Kanto we're red and they we're fire types at that. Sable looked at Julietta as she chirped, " Sw-Swablu ! ( My name is Sable and this is my pet here Imogen. ) " she flapped excited to meet another friendly Pokemon, but she cringed a bit in pain.

Imogen grabbed Swablu to check her injuries as she heard Maria wanting to catch the Pinsir, " Go right ahead, I don't really catch Pokemon, I have Sable and Roselia who I caught a few days ago. Im not sure on a name for him though. " she wanted to take Swablu back to the Pokemon Center. " Hm, oh hold on. " she grabbed a small potion out of her dress pocket. As sprayed on Sable's wounds, the wounds slowly started to disappear and Sable looked much better. Imogen put the Potion back into her pocket. There we're still a few sprays left for one more dose of small healing. " Escort you ? Hmm sure, I be happy to I think for main cities go, next is uh, Fallarbor Town ! But that's quite a distance though, oh but first I need to stop at this Greenhouse I actually found something very rare. " she explained as took out of her other dress pocket it contained a pokeball with her Roselia and a small berry incased in a very small glass jar.

She showed it to Maria, It was a berry in the shape of a disfigured moon with patches of craters in it, the color was a dark purple with some shades of blue and white mixed into it. " I spoke with a researcher at Devon Corp, they never seen a berry like this before. " she smiled with excitement. " They said it's probably some rare berry of sort not documented, so I was hoping to make more of these, they wanted to buy it off me. But I wouldn't let them, I wanted to grow this berry into the best ever yet. So I decided to get some high quality soil and fertilizer for it. I tried Verdanturf Town but sadly they didn't have what I needed so they recommended me this large Greenhouse inbetween Mauville and Fallarbor." Sable flew down to Julietta looking at her, as she chirped happily.

The sight of the Swablu atop Imogen's head was pretty funny to see, which brought a slight smile to María's expression. Julieta, meanwhile, looked intently at Sable. "Vul, vul... vulpix!? (I'm Julieta... and... what--your pet?!)" astonished as she was, she still waved with her paw. "It's indeed a Vulpix." María said as a matter of fact, sensing Imogen's surprise as she blinked. Julieta worried a bit that the Swablu's wounds were severe since it cringed for a moment, but thankfully Imogen sprayed her with Potion and all seemed to be alright now.

Well, Imogen sure was a chipper girl, she was pretty lively and never ceased talking. María wasn't exactly like that, but she didn't dislike that either, it was comforting, in a way? She went to grab the Pokeball with the Pinsir that had been caught and put it back into her backpack. Meanwhile, she listened as Imogen rattled off all about her rare berry or something that, well, María didn't really get entirely, but it seems like it was something fun and good for Imogen so she smiled courteously.

At the mention of a Greenhouse, María pondered for a moment. "Hmm," she wasn't planning on visiting any Greenhouse, and Imogen had mentioned Fallarbor and not Lavaridge... was that closer? But, well, all could be sorted out later, and it certainly wouldn't hurt to visit a Greenhouse along the way, would it?

"Not documented yet, huh... that's interesting... it's good that you didn't sell it off," María was more of a history gal, but mysteries were always intriguing for her, of any kind. She loved reading or watching anything about detectives, for example. When she looked at the berry, she ended up fascinated. She'd never seen a berry like that before. A dark purple with shades of blue and white, and the form of a broken moon with craters. How was it even real?! It looked so abstract. She needed to find what was behind this berry. "Wh-where did you find this? I mean, it looks mesmerising..." she said, losing her composure for a moment. Then added: "Very well, we shall head towards that Greenhouse."

As if ignorant to their whole conversation, Sable flew down and chirped happily in front of Julieta. Still on María's arms, the Vulpix slowly lifted its paw to touch the Swablu's cotton, it looked fluffy and cute so she just couldn't help herself.

Imogen smiled at Maria's interest in it, as she put the berry in the jar back in her pocket dress. " Im glad to hear, I actually found it the same day I found my Roselia, it's strange the berry was growing out of the ground in a lone area of Rustboro Hills. " she spoke smiling as she held her hands together. She always was excited about Berries and Flowers even taking snapshots of them with her Pokenav, " I'm glad you're tagging along with me, I'll admit it gets lonely with just me and Swablu often going out on long trips like this. "

She would usually go out to Verdanturf Town mostly since it was the closest and it was a shortcut from Rustboro instead of the main road. Though the Rusturf Tunnel was a little dangerous given all the Whismur's and Loudred within it. But Sable protects her from them, " Well I guess off we go to the Greenhouse. " she smiled as she looked at Sable enjoying the Pokemon company. Sable flied looking at Vulpix as she smiled, she extended out her right wing to feel Vulpix's head fur. She shivered a bit, but Sable was curious she never saw a Vulpix like this before, ever.

Imogen began walking as Sable followed beside flapping, " Oh how is your Vulpix by the way, wait I almost forgot there is another town, Lavaridge if im right you can get there by cable car instead of taking this area called the Jagged Path. I rather avoid the path entirely too many fire Pokemon there. And I really, really don't wish to deal with them. " Imogen often loved to talk a lot, often speaking to the point where Sable has to speak back to tell her to relax. But that was Imogen in a nutshell if she met someone who seems okay she can talk for hours on end.

Imogen made a loud gasp as she realized how talkative she was going on. " I apologize, im doing it again. " she spoke as she crossed her arms shifting her upper body, sideways from a left to right motion. " I tend to talk a lot, but I like having company, Sable is good company but she can't talk back to me, then again I heard the Devon Corp was working on a way for humans and Pokemon to talk with each other. Buuuut ! I'll be a granny before that even happens, but there is a rumor of a Talking Meowth. " she shruged smiling as she saw the forest where Maria came from, " So this is where that scary Pinsir came out of huh, Pray we don't see any Beedrills..." she shivered in fear of them, seeing how big one can get and how agitated a Kakuna could easily get as well too. But Hoenn mostly had Beautifly and Dustox, while not threatening but could pose to get angry easily as well.

"Mhm, mhm," so the berry was somehow connected to Imogen's Roselia? That's pretty odd... Plus, its form... shouldn't it resemble a flower rather than a moon? One would think it may have something to do with a Lunatone instead. There was definitely something they didn't know that wasn't showing itself to them. Rustboro Hills, they'd have to keep that in mind... whatever Rustboro is. María was very enthralled by this mistery, yet the mistery of how Imogen could move so animatedly and cheerfuly while talking about anything also garnered her interest, she was smiling and holding her hands together, clearly excited. "I'm glad, too." In a way, María was rather curt. Not that she wanted to be curt or brash purposefully, she just kind of ended up that way because she didn't want to give herself away too much, or something like that, she wasn't sure. It was kind of a mess. Even getting that out had been hard just now.

As the two talked, Julieta and Sable had their fun; Sable just flapped around and Juli was mostly amazed at how Sable could flap its cotton wings so effortlessly. She'd always wanted to fly but... it seemed she could never do it... maybe she could ask Sable to carry her later, just maybe... When Sable reached out to touch her fur, Juli recoiled for a moment at the suddendess, but Sable beared no ill-intent of course, and she eased into it quickly.

"Lavaridge, I know. Those seem like a nuisance, huh." María uttered. She was barely paying attention to her surroundings as she'd to pay heed to what Imogen said, but, it was fun, and the non-silence was a welcome change of pace, if an odd one. They were walking through a path that veered here and there but mostly kept them going north, at both sides the forest with tall trees that were sparsely situated stood.

María was taking aback by the sudden gasp. Compared to her, who rarely showed genuine or such dramatic emotions (dramatic from María perspective), this seemed, like, kind of unreal. But she wanted to reassure Imogen that it was alright, even though... she'd kept talking anyways. "Hey, it's alright." I like it. She'd wanted to say it, but her words were cut short by her own self, indecisive and, honestly, fearful, of how that would come out. At least, she smiled a little.

"A Talking Meowth... intriguing," she said. A talking pokemon, what was that about? And Beedrills! Hopefully, they'd stay away from them. She'd rather see some Beautifly, they were known to be calmer than Beedrill. Well, maybe if they found a calm Beedrill, that could be fun too. Or none at all, they had to get to the Greenhouse, after all, and they were already pretty hurt.

"Ah," Imogen had asked about Julieta, but, well, it was muddled in all her other talk and she forgot to answer, "uh, Juli is alright, I think she can endure until we get to the Greenhouse, right Juli?" She ruffled her Vulpix's head playfully and beamed. Plus, she'd kind of forgot to bring Potions. María looked at the distance, to the east. Several buildings could be seen at the distance, one seemed like a farm-house and the other had an odd design with glasses and windows all over. She had no idea what that was or what the Greenhouse looked like at all, actually.

She smiled seeing Maria was glad about it, she looked excited to see her Swablu and Maria's Vulpix getting along really well. It made traveling together all the more easy. Imogen wanted to show her Roselia but she is very frightened of not only Pokemon but people that she never met. She worries Roselia will never will want to come out again. As she chatted with Maria, she looked upon the distance to see buildings. " Ooo, you sure though well Juli looks like a tough cookie and I must say. " she smirks raising her hands and she bawled them into a fist. " Is a sweet name for your Vulpix, but im so ever curious on it. " she smiled still wanting a Alolan Vulpix of her own one day. As she lowered down her hands and felt excited on seeing a new area she never been too before.

Sable raised her wing at Vulpix as she flew up in the air, " Oh she is already on it. " Imogen said looking up as she shifted her eyes toward Maria. " Sable often scouts the area for any danger, since I only have her and well..Roselia whose too shy right now. I have to be careful, I heard some criminals broke loose recently. I was more worried when I heard they we're last spotted going to Verdanturf Town..." she explained as she started to check out the various places in town, seeing Sable wasn't reacting to anything, it must be safe. Sable soon flew back down to Imogen and slowly hopped her way along next to Julietta. She could see the Greenhouse up ahead in the distance as she smiled.

" When we're done here why don't we go shopping for a few things, I can show you my hometown if you want Maria, I can give you a sweet deal on flowers if you so wish. " Imogen spoke as she started walking past a couple vendor shops nearby. Selling various items from cheap Potions, Super Potions and etc. Even painted artwork of various Pokémon as well too. She was curious on some of the shops on what they we're selling too. Along with that she perhaps found a new friend in her travels too. She was closing in the Greenhouse as she looked up at it. " My it's huge..." she thought to herself.

"Thank you. Eh, curious? Well, she's a Vulpix that's most commonly found on Alola, a variation from the usual Vulpix you can see in Kanto and other regions," she said, matter-of-factly. She was glad that Juli was getting attention, to be honest; lately she'd been worrying that Juli had not been able to make any friends or interact with many Pokemon. Imogen balled her hand into a fist, and it almost made María giggle. Imogen really had funny, cute ways to express herself.

Juli watched as Sable went about her scouting. It was nice knowing Sable would inform them of any danger, that was pretty cool! "Huh, Sable does that? Neat. And criminals... maybe Pinsir will help us, though we really should get to a Pokemon Center if we want him to be unfreezed," Sable soon flew back to them and matched their pace, close to Juli and hopping about. So Imogen also had a Roselia travelling with her... I wonder why her Roselia's not out.

"That'd be... nice, I accept gladly." It was a nice offer, and both she and Julieta could do with more company in her travelling. She'd have to convince Imogen that she was cool and fun to be around, probably, so that could be hard. Imogen was fun to be around, so no troubles there. And it'd been a while since she'd travelled with someone, too. It could be really fun. She did wonder what was gonna happen once they got back. And, she was interested in seeing where María was from. Ah, they also needed to see what was the deal with the berry, cure Pinsir, get to the Greenhouse... so many things.

Eventually, they passed through some sort of open market along the trees, with vendor shops lined up on both sides, they sould potion, artworks, and other miscellanous things. "Ah, do you know what the Greenhouse is like? Are we near it yet?" María asked.

Imogen was surprised at their being Pokemon on a region she never heard of, let alone in variations. " W-wow, that's amazing...I never heard of Alola though. Kanto and Johto but not Alola, is that where you're from ? " she asked as she saw the Greenhouse up ahead. " Oh ! This the place actually. " she said pointing up towards the large building in front of them, she went glee in excitement jumping in small hops rapidly. Sable looked up at her with a annoyed look as she sighed as she felt embrassed. The entrance inside was wide open and next to the building was a outdoor Pokecenter, there was the usual Nurse Joy that are in often in every Pokemon Center. However this one looked different from the rest.

Her hair was tied in a very long ponytail and she looked very tired. Yawning every few seconds or so, Imogen looked at the Pokemon Center then at Maria, " Hey we can get your Pinsir healed along with our Pokemon too." Sable slapped her leg in demand at not wanting to be healed. " Don't try to be tough missy..." Imogen said picking up Sable in her hands as she started to walk inside the building, as she saw the inside it was pretty massive, their we're various groups of people admiring the displays of plants and flowers that we're in mini potters. They're was various pathways that lead to different areas inside the Greenhouse, the one Imogen was interested was in was the Fertilizer Area, but she needed to speak to someone who was a expert on berries.

She needed to be discreet about her berry, being it was rare onlookers would be interested in her berry as well. " This is it Maria, I only have one spot to go too but we can check out other areas too. " she spoke as various Sunflora's walked past them checking the flowers and plants out on display. They cried happily as Imogen smiled watching them go by.

"I guess it is," she chuckled lightly at Imogen's enthusiasm; not out of malign intentions, she was just really surprised at how she voiced all her thoughts all the time. It was... a nice change. "Oh, no, I'm from the Orange Islands, though I moved to Johto a while ago," she said. She still considered herself an Orangian, but Johto had grown on her, so she was a Johtonian too.

As soon as Imogen mentioned the Greenhouse (and María didn't even have time to ask Imogen where she was from), María looked ahead and up. But then she heard Imogen hopping beside her and turned to look. She looked just like an over-excited kid to María, and, again, it made her giggle gleefully. Maybe she needed to loosen up, but she wasn't ready to admit that yet, and by hell it wouldn't be easy to act on it either! Juli just looked at Sable, who seemed to be heaving a sigh because of her trainer's 'foolishness'.

Apparently, the Greenhouse had a PokeCenter, like, inside of it, or to the side of it, María didn't know what was the Greenhouse or not at this point. Juli laughed at Sable's attempt to appear tough. "Vul, pix, pix! (Don't try to be tough, missy...")" she remarked good-naturedly and still in her trainer's hands.

There were many plants and flowers all around, and paths that lead, presumably, to different areas for different things. It was a really big, glassy Greenhouse. María had never seen anything like it.

Then many Sunflora walked past, and Marí alooked at them intriguingly, as if trying to figure something out. They chirped and kept on walking. Then an Oddish came hopping, and she too smiled at the pots and kept on hopping.

"It seems like all the Pokemon here are in good spirits," she said to Imogen as she approached the counter with the Nurse, who had her long pink hair in a ponytail and looked, frankly, exhausted. "May our Pokemon be healed, Miss? Pinsir has been mildly frozen, and as you can see, Juli here," she said ruffling her favourite baby's fur, "has some scratches from fighting, well, said Pinsir," she stated. "While Sable is also hurt."

"Very well..."
the lady answered, clearly tired.

For some reason, at that moment, María felt like she had to say something, because that woman was over-working herself. "If you feel the need to rest, please, do," she said, and promptly pulled out a sandwich from a tupper in her backpack. "Have this, too."

Imogen's eyes sparkled at hearing a place she never heard of. " The Orange Islands ! " she gasped in joy, " I never heard of the place before but it just sounds so amazing. I would love to see it as she spoke back, as she saw her go to the Pokemon Center, the nurse did look overworked a bit. The nurse looked at the sandwich offered to her as she smiled a bit, she took it from Maria. " Thank you " the nurse said quietly as Sable flew down looking at Vulpix, " Sw-Swablu ! " ( I am tough and one day I'll be like those bigger birds and you will be um..bigger too I bet. ) Sable spoke to Vuplix referencing one day she will be a Altaria and Vulpix will be a Ninetales. Sable had been a Swablu in what feels like forever even though it's only been a year actually. But a year felt like a eternity as she wished to be as strong as Altaria one day.

The nurse yawned a bit as a small Happiny hopped over to her side. " Why of course madam...." she turned on a machine that had six Pokeball slots that could be set into it. " Set your Pokemon in there, you don't even..." she yawns mid sentence as she moves her elbow up wiping bit of sleepiness from eyes. Imogen watched her as she smiled lightly, " Um, we get the picture miss. " she spoke out seeing she was clearly tired for some reason, perhaps a late night or she was busying taking picture of flowers that was only really Imogen's mindset. The Happiny quickly ran off to another room then came back with some water holding it with both her hands. She held it up to the nurse's right hand, " H-Happiny ! " ( Oh dear, I wish she wouldn't worry about the beast in the woods...) The nurse took the water as she dranked it slowly. As she sighed, " Apologies..." she spoke looking least tired, " Um, yes you can place your Pokemon here even without a ball. " Imogen nodded as she grabbed Sable as she looked very upset, she thought the scratches made her look like a tough Pokemon like Tyranitar or Salamence. She set Sable in the sixth Pokemon slot.

Imogen turned to Maria waiting for her to go, " You are right, it's good everyone is in good spirits. " she looked at the nurse, " Hey um where is the person who works with fertilizer ? Or manager " she asked, The nurse sipped some more water, " Oh that would be Flora she actually manages most of this building, you would be better talking with her. She should be on the second floor, her office is actually straight ahead, towards a large wall above with a large door. You can't miss it, her plaque on the door should say Director Flora. "

Imogen smiled as she nodded, " Thank you so much. " as the nurse replied with a wave, " Of course deari-...." she yawned again as she stopped talking as she opened up the top of the lid of the tupperware.

"Oh, trust me, it is," and I am totally willing to take you there. Yes, María thought that, but she didn't say it outloud, just, a simple thing like that, it was hard for her. "Vul, pix, vul! (Well, tough you are... but we'll have to wait and see for that, fluffy!" Juli said and giggled. But, honestly, she thought that it'd be great to see Sable as an Altaria and herself as a Ninetales... she wondered when that would happen, if it would. And Sable really was tough, after she had withstood that Pinsir attack...

"It's fine, don't worry" The nurse seemed even more tired now. But a Happiny came back and gave her water, it felt more like Happiny took care of her than the other way around. María followed Imogen's footsteps and gently placed Juli in the machine, as well as the Pinsir Pokeball. Juli, though, asked the Happiny: "Vulpix? (Beast in the woods?)"

María waited for Imogen to ask her questions. So she wanted fertiliser? Well, she'd follow Imogen and see what it was all about. Did it have something to do with the rare berry?

The Happiny saw her trainer was tired so she activated the machine. Sable overheard what Happiny said as looked down at her, " Swablu ! Swablu ! " ( Hey you there, you mentioned something about a beast. What kind of beast ! ) she chirped loudly as Happiny looked up at it as the machine started to activate. As healing vapor glowed from the machine healing the Pokemon's wounds as a chiming noise played, the process took a only a minute. The machine soon stopped as the nurse started eating and soon finished her water. " You're Pokemon are fully healed, thanks for stopping by..." she said as she set her sandwich back into the tupper. " And thank you for the food again miss. " she replied. "Ha-Happiny " (Oh ? The beast um I don't know much about it, maybe it's a Pokemon ? It was huge I saw it with my own eyes...you two be careful if your heading into those towns...) Happiny spoke to Sable and warning to both of them as well.

Sable felt herself being pulled as Imogen grabbed her up, " Well you better show me Maria. " Imogen giggled as she turned towards a spirial staircase a few feet from where they we're. She saw a few people walk up to it, " Oh by the way im actually from here, Hoenn has been home for, well like in forever really same with Sable here too. " she said petting her head. Happiny waved yelling to them, " Happiny ! " ( Remember what I said ! If your walking there go only during the day ! Warn your trainers ! " Happiny warned as Imogen looked at the Happiny, " Hmm quite the active Happiny, huh Sable ? " she asked as Sable watched the Happiny, Imogen looked up with a bit of confusion, " I wish I could understand Pokemon..." she thought as she looked at Maria. Remembering her earlier questions.

Walking towards the spirial staircase, " This fertilizer, called Cacnegrow, said to help make berries and flowers grow as tall as them. It's going to be good for the, " BERRY " I found a Oran Berry of course im growing a bushel of them " Imogen said with a wink trying her best to keep a low profile, but Imogen was never the best at telling a lie nor subtle either. " I want to see if the Director may know something about this, better than asking someone else here as I said..." she moved closer to Maria in whispering distance, " I don't trust anyone else besides you or someone else who knows more about berries. So perhaps if I can grow this at home. Maybe it could grow into something beautiful, I always loved flowers, people compared me to those sparkling Aroma Ladies. They're not wrong, but I don't care for profit I rather grow this berry into something beautiful. " she whispered as she had a bright smile on her face looking at Maria, they we're soon on the second floor. " I always wanted to go into a career being the Best Botanist, but it was only a dream though. "

"Don't mention it," María said nonchalantly. She was really glad the Nurse was now, at least, fed. Hopefully, she would take her due rests in the future. "Be sure to take breaks," she said and then turned towards Imogen. "Oh, I will then," she answered, actually excited that Imogen wanted to come with her. Meanwhile, Juli had a less-fun conversation. "Vul, Vulpix!!?? (A beast!!?? Oh dear... Sable, we must warn them!)" Juli said, exhasperated. Then, María picked her up.

"Mhm," so Imogen was from Hoenn? Well, that was great... though it made her look even more stupid in trying to 'escort' someone from Hoenn, so she was a bit embarrassed inside. When Imogen petted Sable, María thought it was really cute, and she reflexively pet Julieta, finding comfort.

María giggled, genuinely. Imogen was just really goofy in apparently trying to hide her newfound rare berry and talking about it that María could barely understand if she was being serious or not. And... Imogen trusted her? Wow, that was new. She'd never had someone trust her so soon and readily and so out of the blue. "I'm sure you can be the best botanist out there, who else has found such a rare treasure, plus..." And out of the blue, at the mention of beautiful, María blurted out, without thinking, her bare thoughts: "You're beautiful." And a light blush spread through her cheeks.

For a moment, all thoughts about the berry, its mistery, the Greenhouse, the fertiliser banished from her mind, because... Yes, she... probably liked this girl she had just met, and it was dumb, it was a dumb crush, a juvenile, stupid, overly-romantic, crush, but there it is... and she'd never fallen so fast, and gods what would she do if she ever confessed and Imogen said no, she wouldn't know what to do, but for now, she'd have to try and keep it a secret... as long as she could, which, by how things were going, didn't seem that easy. Hopefully Imogen didn't think anything wrong about her compliment and just took it as a normal compliment, but María's mind was going at 200% with this new, ultra-fast revelations that she was smitten like an idiot with feelings that she tried to repress. Oh, dear.

Sable was thinking about what Juli said, then thinking what was the beast like. Was it scary ? Huge ? Or even a legendary Pokemon. Highly doubtful though but she shook her head as she looked at Julietta. " Swablu ! " ( Oh...I suppose you're right, but how ? All we can really do it just flap our wings. Well in my case but for you, perhaps we can make them stay here for the night. Im sure there is one of those beds in this town. ) she spoke flapping her wings understanding Julietta's worries. As much as Sable was curious she didn't want Imogen hurt, she made a promise that she would protect her.

" Correct. but I do appreciate you wanting to keep me company at the very least. " Imogen smiled as her eyes we're half closed, as she held Sable close to her, in a instinctive way. She found Maria to be interesting, not many would stick close to Imogen. More so her mannerism and her overexcitedly she gets at times. " Aww, thanks. I appreciate that Maria. " as Imogen saw the Director's door she set Sable then was about to rest her hand on the doorknob, but she heard something that made her pause. She looked Maria as her pupils gushed with excitement.

She made a slight glee in her voice, " Mariaaaa..." she said in a cutesy way, making her A's sound like a echo. " That's just so, well adorable. " she clapped in place as she pulled Maria in a soft hug, " I think you're beautiful too. " Imogen said giggling a bit feeling a lot more excited with tagging along Maria now. She pulled out of the hug as she could see Maria looked a little flushed in the face. Was she sick or was Maria still adjusting to everything that happened ? " Hmm what's with her ? " she thought thinking Imogen should get her some tea later, after talking with Flora. She blinked thinking where we're here manners. It was good thing Maria stopped her otherwise it would've been permission without entering. Imogen knocked on the door softly as she heard some rustling inside.

" Hello ? " a woman's voice ranged out as Imogen tilted her head a bit. " E-excuse me ! My name is Imogen I would like to speak with Director Flora ! " she yelled out through the door. " Well come on in, no need to yell like a bunch of Chatots ! " the woman said as Imogen opened the door, there was a woman standing by the window, her office looked like any other offices but their was very flowers and berries spread out around the area. The woman had dark pink hair, parts of her hair we're in drill curls, her light blue shirt had a chibi version of Hoppip, her vest was a light brown color and she had ripped areas of her tan shorts. She also wore regular black tennis sneakers, she smiled happy to see the new guests. " Hiya ! My name be Director Flora. Pleasure to meet ya on this dandy day. "

Juli thought for a while and then answered. "Vul, pix. (We'll have to try and make them stay here, maybe the nurse has some spare rooms she can lend?)". As they talked, María and Imogen were walking towards Fiona's room. And as focused on getting them out of harm as Juli was, she obviously couldn't ignore the obvious signs of a crush forming on her trainer, her beloved María; she knew her for years already and she wouldn't miss those cues. But she was surprised she was acting on it so fast... or maybe it was just a slip-up, either ways, it was good that she was letting her emotions show more, Juli had always been worried that María repressed her feelings endlessly and that hurt her. She'd opened up to Juli, at least, but seeing her opening up to another human being and to someone she'd met just hours ago... it was amazing.

But more taken aback was María, who definitely wasn't expecting for Imogen to reciprocate so genuinely and easily... though maybe it was to be expected, being who Imogen was. And of course, that sent María back to a red blush that she couldn't hide at all but she could only focus on Imogen, how she said her name in a goofy and cute way, how she clapped in place like an over-excited baby and how she pulled María into a soft hug, oh, how was this even happening to her? What had she done to be so blessed after being so monotonous and dumb and cold and idiotic? Well, she would fret over that later, but for now, she was grateful, and she gladly accepted Imogen's hug and hugged her, slightly, shakily, as if she would no longer be there once they parted, but she was. And she thought María was beautiful!? And that it was adorable? Oh, my. Imogen giggled and she seemed to be in good spirits... maybe María did have a chance. Finally, Imogen pulled out of the hug, and María tried to compose herself as they entered Flora's room. She wanted to say something, but only a mumbled "Thank you," escaped her lips, she was too excited or confused or just smitten to answer.

What greeted them was a 'Hello?' coming for a woman in her mid-40s. Imogen, none the wiser but always the fastest, greeted her and exclaimed excitedly, to which María sighed, still a bit pink in the face from before, since that definitely was no way to introduce oneself to someone of Flora's caliber, who was apparently the one who managed this whole building. "Excuse Imogen's cheeriness, she's terribly excited to talk to you... I am María, it's nice to meet you, Director Flora." She tried her best polite impression... again, maybe she should loosen up, but it was almost a reflex. Flora was looking out towards them with the window behind her, she had dark pink hair with some drill curls, was wearing a light blue shirt with a chibi Hoppip, which María found cute, and had a brown vest, shorts and sneakers. The room was overflowing with flowers and pots and berries all spread out everywhere, while sunlight entered through the many windows and filled the room, it looked cozy, warm, and happy. María tapped Imogen's shoulder slightly, as if to motion for her to talk to Flora about what she wanted... though María was sure Imogen could do that fine already and needed none of her help... meanwhile, Juli, who had been talking with Sable, climbed all the way up through María's body to her soulder and snuggled on her cheek, trying to get her to smile. And a faint smile could be seen on María face, although, she'd been smiling like an idiot when hugging Imogen already, a rare sight indeed.

Sable listened ignoring the adults talking as she looked at Juli, " Swablu ! ( Yeah maybe some trainers will be able to defeat that beast or whatever. ) " she replied back to her. Though she did look disappointed on not being able to see the beast for herself, nor was she probably ever going to get the chance to do it. She flew on top of Imogen's head as she rested on top. Imogen smiled a bit as she was used to it. " Happy to meet your acquaintance Director Flora ! " Imogen beamed as Flora's smiled lightened a bit. " Easy girlie, no need to be so sweet smilie. " Flora said as she looked at Maria's direction, " Oh no need to apologize, happy to meet ya both all the same. Now im gonna assume you got questions for me ? " Imogen nodded as she closed the door behind her, " It's something actually really important. Only me and my new gal pal here well I guess some Devon Corp employee but... " she sighed composing herself as she was a bit nervous and sort of excited about this berry. Imogen reached into her dress pocket as she took out the Moon Berry inside the container as Flora eyes widened a bit.

" Can you tell me anything about this berry here ? I found it in Rustboro City ! It was well...specifically in Rustboro Hills it's a large grassy area with tons of tress around it, nothing too special about it. " Imogen explained as Flora smiled as she grabbed her magnifiying glass on the table, she held it up to the berry as she examined it carefully, Imogen blinked curiously as she was wondering what Flora would say. " W-well... I don't believe it..." Flora stopped examined as she stands back, " You discovered a very old berry, this berry was documented years back when Aerodactyl, Anorith's and other fossil Pokémon used to exist...This was lost in time most researchers actually believed this berry was extinct as we're a couple others. Some even say this was a berry used to help extend a Pokemon's power during long periods at night...it's sibling berry you could say was the Sun Berry. " Flora went over to her desk to grab a book titled, " Ancient History of Pokemon Volume 5. " she flipped a few pages as she stopped on the page she was looking for.

" A-ancient berry, how is was it still thriving though...and does it nee-" before Imogen could continue her freak out of question Flora whistled loudly, " Let a gal finish will ya blondie, now look here and I'll even let you keep the book. " she showed her the page Flora stopped on. It had information on both the Moon Berry and Sun Berry with pictures of it in light brown photographs. Imogen nodded quietly as she looked at the page, " The Sun Berry was supposed to do same thing as well too expect with Sunlight..." she spoke out reading on the berries, Flora handed the book to Maria. " I trust you more with this book if anything. And yes if you plan to grow more, I be careful..." Flora said as Imogen was going to go on her next question. " I am miss ! I was wondering if you had Cacnegrow, my boss would tell me she would always get it here or Verdanturf Town but they didn't have any. " Flora nodded no with a sad sigh, " I don't have any to spare, thanks to the beast in the forest, they been cutting my supplier and it takes just as long by Air...so I say...come back in a month and I'll have some. " Flora said walking over to her desk as she set her magnifying glass down back onto the desk.

Imogen's eyes looked horrified at the wait time,
" I-I can't wait that long..." she replied as Flora shrugged as she sat in her chair, " Try Lilycove City or some other places maybe they got it...as I said I can't help and I need the stuff for my plants here in the Greenhouse. I can recommend some other fertilizer that'll do the job decently too..." Flora suggested but Imogen didn't want either the options, she plucked up some courage as she bursted out. " I can fight the beast !! " she yelled as Flora laughed not in a mean way but with disbelief, " Nice joke, neither me or a couple of good trainers that passed could fight the thing. And it only comes out at night and plus on top of that ! The police themselves can't find the beast...your only one girl and plus you got your friend here, right ? So why not just...well go to Lilycove...trust me it's a lot safer of a bet. I don't wanna see you in tears from bruises cause that beast ain't afraid to attack people either..."

"Vulpix! (Hopefully...)" Juli answered, looking at Sable from her vantage point in María's right shoulder. Sable was nestled atop Imogen's head, which was cute, so they were practically eye-level since María was a tad taller.

Flora was really easy-going, and María was surprised that she'd tell her that. "Eh? Sure..." was all she managed to get out before Imogen and Flora engaged in a rant conversation of sorts with lots of information thrown in, since Flora cut right down to the chase. Imogen mentioned María being her gal pal, and, well, María couldn't help but genuinely smile, she was really glad that Imogen considered her a friend already. Then Imogen took out the Rare Moon Berry, and Director Flora couldn't hide her surprise.

Okay, how cool was this from a scale of one to ten? Eleven! María was really excited, Imogen had made such an awesome discovery... and Flora had a really cool history book that she'd lend them?! Oh my, this was getting better and better.

"Hey, calm down, Imogen..." María said, putting a hand to Imogen's shoulder. Truth be told, she wanted to give Imogen some sort of nickname, if that'd be cute? Immy? Well, but she would be so embarrassed if she said it so she just said her name and that was about it. When Flora showed them the book, María leaned forward to check it out too, but immediately found that Flora trusted her to it before Imogen... well, she'd take great care of it and make sure Imogen didn't do anything too wild, she chuckled at the notion and mustered a quick "Thanks" at Flora; meanwhile Imogen was already going on tangets about the Sun Berry and whatever she had been able to read from the book.

The book was old, dusty and its pages were yellowed out by time, but it still wasn't in that bad of a condition, all pages seemed to be well-maintained, at the least. María had seen far worse in the libraries around Azalea. But, most importantly, this was... an ancient berry?! María had never heard of that, and she knew of the fossil Pokemon, but they were extinct (even though some sightings were said to be recorded at places in Kanto), how could this berry be here, present, and alive? Was it real? It must've not be a fake, since Flora would know, but... how could it be? The mistery deepened and María couldn't help but feel the need to decipher it, like her favourite detectives, like Sherlock Holmes, would.

María carefully slid the book inside her brown backpack and then fished out her little notepad from and jotted down some stuff, like the pages where the berries were shown in the book 'Ancient History of Pokemon, Volume 5', to 'be careful when growing the Moon Berry', and last but not least, some possible nicknames for Imogen—Immy, Mo, Genna, Gen...—that she may or may not have the courage to use.

It seemed that the fertiliser that Imogen needed had not gotten to the Greenhouse because of some... beast, apparently? Whatever that was... not a Pokemon? Now María was intrigued... although given her recent encounter with a Pinsir that had her running for her life, well, she wasn't that enthusiastic about the idea of chasing down some random monster they knew nothing about. But Imogen sounded so determined... she was willing to budge, but first she'd try convincing her.

"Maybe... we should just go to Lilycove? This beast... it seems dangerous, you know?" she told Imogen, turned to look at her in the eyes. "Vul, vulpix! (Mari's right, you know!)" Juli exclaimed from atop María's shoulder. "I mean, I'd love to see what this 'monster' is about, but..." I don't want you to be in danger, you know, María thought but didn't say it, concerned for Imogen's well-being, seeing as how she probably was reckless, not to mention how Sable was reckless and wanted to look tough.

Sable looked at Juli as she sighed, Imogen was thinking at what Julietta said. " And you can't ask for it during the day ? " Imogen asked insisting on other ideas. Flora nodded no, " Not that simple, even if I did people are still getting hurting come down from Fallabador and Lavaridge..." Flora said as she looked up at Imogen. " Im sorry...I don't have much time to talk...go around from Mauville then go to Lilycove it's a walk sure. Unless you got a-" before Flora could finish she was interupted. " N-no ! I mean I need to get back home too. How about a deal ? " Imogen insisted as Flora sighed in annoyance with her eyes closed.

" I swear you just as stubborn as Gym Leaders..." Imogen smiled as she helds her hands together, " Please let me try, I have Sable and my Roselia with me. And Maria here too, um if she wants. " Imogen didn't want to involve Maria in her problem, she looked at her. " You don't have to help me if you don't want too. I wasn't trying to volunteer comparde. " Sable was a bit surprised at Imogen's answer as she looked at Juli, " Swablu ! ( Seems like we can't avoid it. And I didn't even need to peck her for a answer. ) " Sable cried but secrely deep down she was a little worried about what to expect. But she wouldn't show that in front of anyone. Flora groaned a bit as she rubbed the right side of her temple. " Look tell you what, if you can somehow beat the beast of the woods I'll give you my Cacnegrow. That sound like a fair deal flower girl ? " Imogen nodded smiling at the idea. " Good, now that thing only appears at night and it's on the road towards Fallabador and that desert area. So as I said be careful...don't take a fight you can't handle..." Flora scolded but Imogen was too determined to listen, it may be a silly idea but she had to try.

She didn't want to cut through to Fortree City nor cut through to Route 118 that required a Water Pokemon, which she lacked plus she didn't feel like trudging through the large grass at all to get there. Besides she wanted to show Maria her hometown eventually too. " I just hope Sable and my Roselia will be enough. Though Maria may be upset at this silly wish of mine. " She thought sadly, she looked at Flora who seemed to be looking at her journal, " Hey how do I reach you Diretor Flora ? " Flora pointed to her office phone that was connected to a landline, " Call a random Tele Booth, I'll answer it don't you worry. The phone has a miniscreen so you can show me the beast you two bag..." she said not focusing on them at all, believing they couldn't beat it.

" Got it !! Off we go then Maria. " as Imogen was going to run for the door, " Hey ! Make sure the info I told you stays between you both...Heaven forbid if someone we're to know you had something that valuable..." Flora warned.

María looked at Imogen as she still tried to bargain with Flora. She would have tried to stop her... but it seemed useless. Imogen was dead-set on doing this... and, of course, that left María with no other choice than to go along with it. I mean, sure, she could... just leave Imogen there to fend off on her own against the beast but... no, that was not like María at all, or maybe it was just because it was Imogen... and even though she'd practically just met her, well, she liked her, and she'd follow along. Maybe Pinsir would be of some use after all.

She was with her palm in her face, almost groaning at Imogen's idea. Of course it'd come to that. Lilycove sounded fun, though, so maybe she'd as Imogen to go there later... and maybe they should formalise this 'are we travelling together or what' thing, although, María had a feeling that Imogen wouldn't even care and maybe already accepted it. When Imogen mentioned her, she lifted her hand resolutely, well, no way out now. "Of course I will," she said matter-of-factly. "Vulpix! (Of course we would go... María wouldn't just leave Imogen like that...)" Juli sighed.

María was quick to note Director Flora's number in her notepad... yes, she was sure Imogen would forget it once they got out of the room. She'd even memorise it just in case, they needed her number to call Flora and get Imogen's Cacnegrow, after all.

Yeah, that didn't seem like an easy task, Flora. Making Imogen keep a secret, well, María would have to be careful, they really didn't want anyone else to get involved. María didn't want anyone else to get involved, for many reasons... not the least of them having Imogen to herself, most probably. She excused herself with a quick "Thank you," and then added "I'll be sure to take care of Imogen," to which Flora simply smiled knowingly. Then she left the room behind Imogen.

Before Imogen could run off anywhere, María caught her by her elbow... and then regretted not going for the hand like a romantic idiot. "So... this dangerous journey of yours..." María sighed, "let it be said: I don't approve," María stated bluntly, but before Imogen could answer, she went on, "but, of course I will go with you. And we will beat that beast. In that case, I think Pinsir will be helpful," she said as she got her notepad back to her backpack and looked for Pinsir's ball... which was nowhere to be found. She kept rummaging and rummaging, but nothing... of course she didn't want to just say 'I lost Pinsir's ball' to end up looking like a bloody idiot in front of Imogen, but with how long she was taking Imogen was bound to have noticed by now...

Imogen felt Maria's grip as hey eyes sprung to life as, she looked at Maria's eyes, she listened to her while keeping a nervous smile. Putting Maria on the spot like that wasn't something Imogen often would do to other people, but she had no one else to look too. Her co-workers we're all the way in Rustboro along with her friends as well too. So Maria was all she left really. " Ok, ok don't be a Negative Nancy, Maria " she replied but then her eyes we're half closed as she then smiled. Relieved she was going to help, " Thank you Maria...You're right though. We definitely will !" Imogen said as she watched Maria rummage through her bag. She felt a dark presence as she looked around the various groups of people upstairs admiring the floral paintings on the wall or we're entertained by the Sunflora's dancing and working at the same time.

" Odd...I felt someone watching me...and not in a good way. Like in one of those creepy, axe murderer way...was someone listening on the conversation I had with Flora ? Nah...but her doors we're really soundproofed either. " Imogen thought but then she saw Maria still looking for something. Imogen tilted her head, As Sable flew down. " Swablu ! Swablu ! ( Well at least we get to work together more.) " Sable said with a happy chirp, feeling a little happy to be hanging out with another Pokemon. However Imogen looked a little worry, " Something the matter. " Imogen asked out of concern wondering what Maria was looking for, Then she gasped overdramatically, " Don't tell me ! You lost you ultra super important item ! " she yelled out as Imogen was trying to lighten the mood and was gasping at straws what Maria was looking for.
