Ringo Kiritu leads the Goldflower Pirates throughout adventures in Paradise and beyond. Though the One Piece seems like the obvious end in sight, there's more to it than that. Ringo wants a family and he's determined to form one through the members of his crew by helping each and every one of them achieve their hopes and dreams. In the end, his dream will be real as well.

The Basics:
217-2174730_cute-anime-guys-hot-anime-boy-anime-sexy.png
Name: Ringo Kiritu

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Race / Species: Human

Height: 6’2”

Hair Color: Blue

Hair Style: Meh… however it is when he wakes up

Clothing Preferences: As little as he can get away with without getting bashed in the head by anyone…

Role on Crew: Captain

Combat Information
Fighting Style: Fists and feet are Ringo’s primary tools of combat, although he’s also not entirely opposed to bashing someone with his head every once in a while when the situation seems appropriate for such a thing. He knows how to throw a punch in a lot of different ways and although he’s never been given the names to any of the fighting styles he’s been taught, he’s well versed in martial arts.

Weapons Carried: Ringo carries a pair of brass knuckles although he rarely uses them.

Devil Fruit: Tanso Tanso (Carbon Carbon) Fruit

Devil Fruit Abilities: Ringo’s fruit is a paramecia fruit that allows him to alter the hardness of the carbon in his body thereby allowing him to harden any part of his body (yes, even there). He can use this to make his attacks hit harder and he can use it to make other peoples’ attacks hurt him less. Ringo can effectively become as hard as diamond, but he does need to will it to happen. His body isn’t simply made of diamond.

Devil Fruit Weaknesses: Like most devil fruit users, Ringo cannot swim. Additionally, he is still susceptible to elements of any kind. Unexpected attacks are also difficult for him to defend against because if he doesn’t see it coming, he cannot will his body to harden where it will land.

Other Unique Abilities: None.

The Personal Stuff
Personality:
On the surface, Ringo is a very laid-back and casual guy who’s out on an adventure hoping to leave some stories for the world to share with the lonely and abandoned souls in various places. He’s almost always got a smile on his face, he’s very good at finding something to laugh at, and even in the face of serious situations, he never takes things quite too seriously. He’s very good at making friends and always open for a social interaction with almost anyone he might encounter on his way to his destination. Speaking of destinations, Ringo’s not very good with those. He very rarely knows where exactly he wants to go. He’s much better with knowing what task he wants to complete than with knowing where he needs to be to complete it.

However, underneath his pleasant casualness, Ringo is fiercely determined to protect his family with everything he has because that’s the sort of energy and passion his grandfather instilled in him during the brief time he got to spend with the man. No one hurts his friends or family and gets away with it if Ringo ever comes to hear of it in the slightest. He’s also a very kind soul. He likes to help people even if it means going against the grain of what is expected of him.

Skills:
  • Inspirational Orrations
  • Fist fighting
  • Bringing people together
  • Eating food
Personal Strengths: Ringo is a caring person. He likes to help people and has a very high moral compass. He values family above all other things. He’s determined and he doesn’t easily give up.

Personal Weaknesses: Ringo does not grasp onto the fact that one cannot help everyone in the world. He is stubborn. He’s immensely opposed to alcohol despite declaring himself a pirate. Ringo will also go against his moral compass if it means helping his family. There’s nothing he won’t do for family.

Primary Aspiration: To grow old with a crew and have a whole bunch of stories to share with the world. TO FIND THE ONE PIECE! DUH!

Backstory:
Ringo Kiritu grew up on a small farming island in Paradise. He was an unintentional child belonging to two adults who wanted nothing to do with each other and who wanted nothing to do with life. Yet, they somehow ended up sharing a house and a farm despite it all. Thus, to cope with it all, they both drank more than their fair share of booze daily and Ringo essentially got left to manage himself once he was four or five years old. Quickly in his youth, Ringo noticed that he was missing something that other kids had in their lives and although he couldn’t quite pinpoint it on his own, Ringo quickly sought to fill the whole that he needed to fill.

The young boy sought out different people on the island to teach him different things. The only one he really actually learned from, though, was a monk who taught him self-defense skills. Ringo took to that really nicely and even utilized it to break up fights his parents would get into when neither one of them could actually stand up straight anymore. One lady gave him really good food whenever he would stop by and he learned that his stomach enjoyed it best right after training. Ringo developed an appetite that wouldn’t quit which didn’t help matters much since his parents rarely prepared meals for him. Instead of learning to cook for himself, he simply became more reliant on others for meals. It wasn’t all bad, though. The people in his village were friendly enough. Despite having supportive people, though, Ringo still didn’t really have what the other kids had. It was disappointing.

One day, though, that changed when a pirate ship docked in their teeny tiny port. All the kids - Ringo included - had to investigate that situation. He was 14 at the time.

The man who came ashore asked for his son - Kaide Kiritu. Ringo knew that name. It was his dad’s name and he ran home to find his dad and ask him about this stranger. Though his dad usually wasn’t much for conversation, he thought maybe this would be the exception to the normal he’d become used to. However, it wasn’t. Actually, that was the day he found both his parents dead on the kitchen floor from alcohol intoxication. He ran out of his home screaming, and the villagers noticed. The stranger came to find him, actually.

“Well, I’ll be.” Needless to say, the man was shocked at Ringo’s existence. Those two were never meant to produce children and particularly not together. The fact that they hadn’t killed the boy by accident before he reached this age was a miracle. The man was Salazar “D.” Kiritu and he was Ringo’s grandfather. He’d left home a year before Ringo was born to set sail on the seas one final time because the sea had been where he’d met his wife and where he’d lived most of his life. The only reason he stayed in one place for too long was to raise his son after his wife died; it was one of the things he’d failed at in life because his son never turned out well. Having failed there, he returned to the sea for one final adventure. He wanted to try and find the One Piece himself since he’d heard so many stories of so many who’d failed.

Finding his grandson, though, gave him even more reasons to stay this time around. His life was drawing to an end, and he spent the last of it - 5 good years - with Ringo.

Ringo learned that what he’d been missing all along was family. Salazar talked to him about how he’d found his family in the form of his crew. He told Ringo stories of their adventures, stories of how cruel the world could be and of how they tried to make it better. Ringo’s eyes lit up at all those stories. He still visited the other people who had become part of his life, and in particular he trained more when he could so he could defend others and not just himself, but now Ringo had more reason to go home at the end of each day. After five years of knowing what life was supposed to feel like, Salazar passed away peacefully. He left his ship to Ringo and told the boy to go find a family all his own.

Taking that advice seriously, Ringo set sail the next morning with his grandfather’s ship. Naive to the world, he landed in a pirate port called “Tortuga” and got himself into more than a little trouble. People weren’t as nice as he thought they would be and unlike his father’s stories, not all pirates were simple adventurers. Some of them were actually thieves. He was tricked into gambling away his grandfather’s ship and then spent the next almost two years working to get it back. He did make one friend along the way - a mermaid named Iris Daphne Tsumire - who helped him to get it back after he stood up for her when someone tried to snatch her out of a market without thought or care. Together, they got his grandfather’s ship back and she mentioned a better place to go to find friends.

Together they’re traveling there - to Anzen.

Possessions: A gold flower amulet that was his mother’s.

“I spent 20 years in captivity. I’ll die before going back.”

The Basics
Name: Iris Daphne Tsumire
Nickname: “Two Face” or The Silver Bow Smith
Age: 45
Gender: Female
Race: Mermaid
Height: 6 ft
Hair Color: Bright red
Hair Style: Usually it’s in a ponytail or a messy bun. She doesn’t like to let it get caught in her work.
Clothing Preferences: When she knows who she’s going to be around, and they are people she trusts, Iris loves wearing things that show off her scales like skirts, shorts and dresses. If she doesn’t know where they will be going, though, she’ll hide it all and try to appear as human as possible.
Role: Smith / Backup Shipwright

Combat Information
Fighting Style: Iris fights in two unique ways depending on her environment.
  • Water’s Wrath: Iris swarms her opponent with speed that’s inhuman and fish that follow her commands and answer her calls. This style of fighting is feral and relies on speed more than strength. Iris appears more animal than sentient being, but she has a lot of wrath inside her that demands some release. She only can use this style of fighting when she’s in water.
  • Hammer Force: Although it’s extremely slow, it’s what she has on land. Most people are so shocked to see her lifting such a massive mallet that it usually buys her time for one good hit which is usually all she needs. Iris’s reach is extended with the mallet’s reach and it's heavy enough that even without too much muscle, one hit hurts an awful lot.
Weapons: Iris carries a giant mallet that was designed to be wielded by a half-giant.
Unique Abilities: She can talk to fish. She can swim really fast.

The Personal Stuff
Personality: Iris is hyperverbal and will spew her life story to anyone that will listen. Well, almost anyone. She’s not particularly fond of other women who she considers to be pretty because she knows that she would have turned into a beautiful lady herself were it not for her burns. She’s highly envious of them and this makes her interactions with them particularly sharp and unpleasant. Iris is never afraid to speak her mind and if she doesn’t like someone else’s idea, she will outright say it. However, Iris is also capable of accepting the fact that she may be outvoted on some things. Iris is not very good at keeping secrets because she’s never had anything to hide so she doesn’t quite understand the concept of needing to keep certain things to herself. It’s something that will likely require reinforcement by her crew before she’s any good at it.

Skills:
  • Smithing
  • Swimming
  • Dancing
  • Selling things
Personal Strengths: Iris is honest. She’s mostly friendly. She’s talkative.

Personal Weaknesses: Iris cannot keep a secret to save her life. She’s very blunt and forward about things. Iris doesn’t give 2nd chances to those who betray her and her wrath, when unleashed, is deadly.

Primary Aspiration: To create a weapon for the pirate king / queen.

Iris was born into the freedom that the sea offers and she absolutely loved it. Growing up with two loving parents who had decided to abandon the larger merfolk population in preference for isolation, Iris didn’t realize that she was missing out on being socialized. She was just happy to swim wherever she could without many limits being placed on her at all. Needless to say that she likely would’ve ended up spoiled rotten had she stayed in that living situation much longer than she did. Whether fortunate or unfortunate, that was not what happened.

Swimming too far away from her home, Iris was captured in a fishing net when she was only six years old. Taken from her home and thrown into a black market that she couldn’t make sense of, her life became restricted to the tank she was kept in. All she could discern from everything everyone said was that her kind was rare wherever they were going and that they were planning to make a pretty penny by selling her to the highest bidder. There were other individuals of varying species kept around her and in the naivety of her youth, Iris tried to talk with them and get to know them a little bit. She was the youngest of them all, though, and no one was really interested in entertaining all of her imaginings, hopes or dreams. Young six year old Iris didn’t truly believe that anything bad would come of her in those early months.

It wasn’t until she was in a tank on an auction stage four months later that the reality of her situation - that she was never going home and that none of these people would ever let her go - really became a fear in the back of her mind. Iris was purchased by a man who only ever referred to himself as “The Collector”. He referred to all of his goods as “antiques” even though a fair few of his goods were actual living beings - Iris included. The young mermaid spent the next 20 years of her life in captivity controlled by “the collector.” Some of their time was spent traveling because he would put all his goods on display at circuses and the like. Iris quickly learned to dread her life and her lack of freedom. She hated being trapped in a little tank, but she couldn’t get out because she lacked legs to walk.

Eventually, though, Iris did manage to befriend some of her fellow captives - one in particular, actually, became as close to a father for her as anyone else had ever been. He was a half giant blacksmith and although he was on display as a rare species as well, there was another element “The Collector” used him for. Haldor was also a blacksmith trained by the man who made the first Pirate King’s weapons - all of them. Of course, this blacksmith’s work was legendary, making Haldor’s close to the same. “The Collector” learned he could make a pretty penny off of forcing him to create weapons on the side in addition to using him in his exotic displays. Iris was often in a good position to watch Haldor work and she was always fascinated by the flames of it all. Eventually, he noticed her curiosity and started talking her through all the steps in his process. For the first three years or so, Iris just watched, wide eyed and awestruck as he produced weapons that were not only deadly, but also absolutely beautiful.

One day, when he decided to give her a go, Iris didn’t quite realize it at first. All she noticed was that Haldor’s workstation was set up closer to her little tank than it usually was. He was gone for something or other - surely “The Collector'' was behind it. Nonetheless, Iris investigated what was nearby and found that even though she’d been watching Haldor for several years, she still knew next to nothing about what each piece of equipment did. Iris reached for what she could and explored the make of each tool. Most of it was too big for her, but she could lift most of it nonetheless. Experimenting on her own definitely wasn’t the wisest idea, though, and Iris paid a master price for it. Leaning over, Iris knocked her tank over - something that had never happened before - and the hot coals from the forge flew skyward, landing over half her body and burning it to shreds. Iris cried out, gaining the attention of both Haldor and “The Collector.”

Furious, “The Collector” brought in medical supplies immediately and left her in the care of Haldor. “If she dies, you die too. She’s valuable merchandise and you put her in danger.” Six months of burn treatments still couldn’t get rid of the scars, but Iris survived and so too did Haldor. She lost most of her sight in one eye in the process, though.

Despite the accident, Iris still wanted to learn Haldor’s craft. She spent the next ten or so years learning under him when they had time and weren’t out on display as part of one of “The Collector’s” antique shows. Eventually, Iris created her own signature - a silver bow.

Tired of captivity, Iris and Haldor created a plan to escape. They would wait until “The Collector” brought them onto a ship because that was when escape would be the easiest and that was when Iris would be the most mobile. If she could get into the water, she knew she would be able to get anywhere she wanted to be. She would have freedom. That’s what the sea meant to her - freedom. Haldor pulled her out of the water and ran out with her once the timing was right. However, “The Collector” had been anticipating a pirate raid on their journey. He had guards on the deck, prepared for trouble. Gunshots fired once they were seen trying to get away and Iris knows a few of them hit Haldor right away. However, that wasn’t what killed him. A cannon ball from an oncoming pirate attack actually hit him squarely, knocking both him and Iris over the deck and into the sea below. Iris was finally home, but she couldn’t leave Haldor. She pulled him to the surface, onto a wooden board that barely supported him.

His last words to her were of his daughter, whom he lost when “The Collector” captured him. She’d been killed by him and she always wore a silver bow in her hair. Iris’s signature changed that day. Her smithing signature is a silver bow to remember Haldor.

Returning to the water, Iris knew she had four years more of technically being trapped, though in a different sort of cage. She couldn’t walk the land yet, and see all that freedom offered there. She couldn’t resume her craft. The water prohibited it because all the fires ceased there. However, that didn’t mean there weren’t things Iris could take care of. She learned that “The Collector” survived and Iris gathered up all creatures of the sea that she could find. After all, they spoke the same language she did. “The Collector’s” ship was swarmed with sea life and pulled beneath the water where Iris found him. For hours, Iris tortured him as punishment for the captivity she’d endured before leaving him weighted at the bottom of the sea.

He was dead.

It was over.

But Iris’s life was not. She enjoyed the freedom of the water until her tail split in two and then she took to the land with eager enthusiasm, learning everything that surface life had to offer. It was what Haldor’s life had been and she wanted to know all the pleasures of it to make it easier to remember him. She resumed her work as a blacksmith. She traveled. She made a name for herself, too. Eventually she stumbled upon a weapon Haldor had made that “The Collector” had sold. Sneaking in overnight, Iris stole it and made it hers. Though it was two sizes too big for her, Iris strengthened herself to carry such a tool. It was a mallet and it would allow Iris to smash anyone who tried to obliterate her freedom.

Finally, after ten years on land, Iris realized where true freedom lied. It existed in the life of a pirate. That was where she wanted to be. Haldor had been trained by a man who forged the weapon of a former Pirate King. Iris wanted to do the same. It kept her close to a home she’d been away from for far too long and gave her new purpose. For five years now, Iris has been searching for a man who inspires in her the same courage that Haldor did, for a man worthy of a crown. Perhaps she’ll find one in the South Blue.

The Basics:
Name: Brinley Smith
Age: 23
Race / Species: Human
Gender: Male
Height: 6'5"
Hair Color: Black
Hair Style: Long and wild
Clothing Preferences: Brinley prefers loose clothing and if he can, he'll wear it open.
Role on Crew: Cook

Combat Information
Fighting Style: Brinley uses his tremendous skills as a powerful swordsman to down his enemies. He doesn't practice any specific style but he does know how to wield a sword. There is immense power behind his swings and he is precise in what he cuts so he gets by without mastering a style. Although people say he has developed his own style.
Weapons Carried: A sword

The Personal Stuff:
Personality: Fighting is everything to Brinley. He lives for it. It's not always winning or losing, morality, the motives of his allies, or even the glory that drives him so much as it is the opportunity for a good fight. He isn't academically competent, but he shows great skill and talent. Or rather he is more than capable, he's just lazy. He'd rather relax and figure things out on the go. One of Brinley's bad traits is his almost suicidal recklessness and impulsiveness. He often recklessly charges into situations or acts without thinking twice. He could care less about status or authority and will not tolerate disrespect to those he cares about.
Skills:
  • Cooking
  • Causing trouble
  • Swordsmanship
Personal Strengths: Brinley is highly optimistic. He always sees the bright side of situations or anything that goes wrong, and takes matters with a smile and an upbeat nature. Brinley is also very fearless. He doesn't fear anything, not even death. He is extremely loyal to allies and friends and would die/fight for them. Brinley puts and thinks of others before himself and is actually a kind and caring person.
Personal Weaknesses: Brinley doesn't take crap from people and can be quick to anger, especially when it comes to his allies or friends. Sometimes when he gets heated he can do some rash things. His recklessness and impulsiveness are probably his worst traits. You'd think he didn't care about his health or value his life.
Primary Aspiration: Brinley sought to travel the entire world and be acknowledged as the best chef. He wants to learn and master different cultures and styles of cooking.
Backstory: Brinley lost his mother when he was born and was abused by his father in training, but was given a relatively stable upbringing with his aunt. His father forced him to train like an experienced adult day in and day out and times when he wasn't training, he was spending quality time with his aunt. His aunt was an outstanding cook. One the family claimed the best. Brinley first displayed an interest in cooking one day when he watched his aunt make dinner.

From then on, they'd practice together and she'd teach him all her secrets and recipes. Brinley's father did not like this. He much preferred Brinley spend time training and growing stronger than waste time meddling with pots and pans. It got to a point Brinley and his aunt had to secretly cook and practice behind Brinley's father's back. Eventually, Brinley suffered a traumatic experience after witnessing his father nearly kill his aunt and her killing him in self-defense.

His father grew tired of his aunt trying to interfere with his growth and trying to lead him down the path of a cook. He tried to get to Brinley but his aunt stood in his path, causing her to be physically abused. Brinley's father got so angry he nearly choked her to death had she not stabbed him in a fatal organ and protected herself and Brinley. Later, Brinley suffered an even more traumatic experience one night when his aunt was killed in a mugging. They had went on a walk to get supplies for a new recipe and on the way home, they ran into some bandits. The bandits mugged the two and killed Brinley's aunt, leaving Brinley because he was young.

From that point forward, Brinley swore he would become one of the best chefs that had ever lived. For his aunt, and the love they shared for cooking. The most effective way he thought of that he could go about it, is becoming a pirate and sailing the various seas. Brinley spent the next several years training like he would with his father except a little more forgiving. He physically trained his body and practiced cooking all day everyday until he was prepared to set sail. When he turned 20 he set sail and began his journey of learning and discovering different cooking styles and techniques. It's been just a couple years and he's learned a handful from various islands and villages. Now he's wandering around on an island named Anzen.

Combat Information
Fighting Style: Talin is not one to eagerly engage in close-quarter combat, instead preferring to stay a good distance away and bombard his enemies with a myriad of different firearms and gunpowder weapons. As he says “Never seen a man walking after being shot 58 times” He uses a different type of shots depending on the situation and if worst comes to worst he owns two daggers that Talin can use for close-quarters combat however people at best can describe his knife skills as “He could probably survive, maybe...”
Weapons Carried:
- Two straps of single fire flintlock pistols across his chest, each carrying three pistols
- He also straps a flintlock rifle on his back,
- A few powder horns containing gunpowder for use,
- Finally two shabby daggers.
Unique Abilities: “I ain’t unique, I just shoot until whatever it is ain’t moving!”

The Personal Stuff:
Personality: Talin is known for being a bodacious flirt, saying that he wants little more than to meet all the beautiful ladies of the Grand Line. Though he has never been successful with his attempts and is often comically ridiculed by his peers. Talin is also passionate about shipbuilding and constructing various designs of contraptions and vehicles, spending days and tireless nights diligently work on perfecting his craft. Wanting to create his Magnum Opus, a ship that can withstand anything that the Grand Line throws at it, unrivaled in its beauty and efficiency. However, with this comes his extremely prideful opinion of the ships he builds, believing that he is the best in the Grand Line. Anyone who even says a small flaw in his design that he didn’t previously notice will be scoffed at.
Skills:
  • Ship Building
  • Firearms/Shooting
  • Designing Contraptions
  • Flirting
Personal Strengths: As someone who will put tireless hours into his inventions or ships, Talin is diligent to the point of obsession, which pairs well with his innovative and shrewd nature.
Personal Weaknesses: Talon is too prideful of his craft, refusing to admit he overlooked a flaw in his design no matter how large it can be. He is also an extreme flirt, often causing problems for himself with his attitude and even to whom he addresses. He is also apathetic to doing tasks that disinterest him and at times will even avoid doing certain chores entirely if he can.

Primary Aspiration: “To meet and enchant every beautiful girl on the Grand Line with an unrivaled ship of my own creation!”
Backstory:
Carter Cruz was a renowned shipwright in the South Blue, building for Pirates and Marines alike, the vessels he made were beautiful, smashing through the waves with might and majesty. But as time passed and Carter grew old he desired to raise a successor to his craft, someone who will create a perfect vessel, one that can even withstand the Calm Belt. One night Carter heard the sound of metal clashing against metal outside of his house, coming out to see he found a young boy, alone, trying to break into Carter’s workshop using a small hammer to break open the lock.

That young boy was Talin, orphaned by plague at a young age he spent many days doing what little things he could to survive. From manual work to small-time theft, Talin managed to scrape by in the port city. This time he believed that Carter held valuable materials he could sell at a scrap shop so he decided to try and break-in. However, he was caught, after much talking and explaining Carter decided to take the young boy in as his son, to teach him the ways of a shipwright, and to live a stable life.

Much of the young boy’s early life with Carter was spent at the workshop, learning, practicing, and absorbing as much of his mentor’s craft as he could. Waking up in the minutes before dawn and sleeping at the end of dusk Talin developed a love for the craft, for designing new ships and contraptions. The sweat and blood poured into each of his creations, even if they never worked he had pride in them, in building them. He was talented, Carter knew that and at such a young age he knew that if Talin stayed the course he could be all that he wanted.

But during his adolescence, Talin grew confident, arrogant, and started to argue with his mentor. He flaked out on work instead of hanging out with the local teens, playing around, and causing trouble for the aging Carter. During this time Talin met a young girl, a noble who he spent many days with and fell for. She was looking for a shipwright to commission a vessel and Talin claimed that he could make the vessel that would be the envy of the South Blue. He spent countless months making the ship, “La Reina” he dubbed it, the ship was beautiful and Talin knew it, but his ego got the best of him and he bragged heavily about the ship to all those who would listen claiming that it was the fastest ship in all of the South Blue and the father of the noble girl took his claim upfront.

He organized the initial trip on the ship with himself, his daughter, and Talin. They sailed across the open ocean, gliding like a heron over the blue sea, the waves crashing against the hull. Talin was glowing with pride, he began to be more reckless with the ship, making wide, flashy movements. But he overlooked a sea stack that the ship was approaching at dangerous speeds, mixed with his inexperience at the helm resulted in the ship smashing into the rocky cliff. Talin was thrown off his balance as the ship began to rapidly take in water, Talin looked around but couldn’t find the nobleman and his daughter, running around before being forced to abandon the ship.

Talin drifted back to shore as he watched “La Reina”, his pride and joy, sink into the watery depths below. Coughing up seawater on the shore Talin slowly looked up as he felt a sharp point on his neck. Looking up Talin can see the nobleman’s face, filled with tears and anger “YOU KILLED MY DAUGHTER! I COULDN’T SAVE HER!” he yelled at Talin, the young girl had met a watery grave at the hands of Talin. His face paled with realization and he started stammering, how could it be? How could he have messed up? It's, it’s impossible, right?

The nobleman filled with grief raised his blade, readying to take Talin’s life, but he stopped before he delivered the final blow. “No, no you will suffer, you will live as a reminder of your actions. Death is too easy for you, it isn’t enough for my daughter,” he said as he swung his sword, cutting Talin’s eye. The pain was excruciating as he tried to find his way back to Carter. The blood flowing down his face, his breathing ragged, stumbling every few seconds, Talin was in hell. Finding his way back to Carter he was brought to health and bandaged, however, Talin forever lost his right eye, cursed to be unable to see with it again as a reminder of his stupidity.

Talin started to grow as a person, mistakes happened, and decided to live life to the fullest, haunted by his past but not limited to it. He started to learn how to defend himself if the nobleman ever wanted to finish what he started, however, no matter how much he tried Talin was always too hesitant in close quarters combat, the fear from that blade remaining with him. He compensated that by becoming skilled with gunpowder weapons, learning that shooting a man from 100 feet is more efficient than cutting him from 1, learning how to handle and maintain flint-lock guns through old blueprints that Carter owned. He became an infamous flirt, attempting to seduce all the young and beautiful ladies of the island, but always failing. He never grew from the arrogance of his craft, but he started to dedicate more time to perfecting it, working with Carter on multiple projects, to never make the same mistake of ruining a ship again.

Eventually, Talin decided to leave his past and travel to Anzen, to work as a shipwright for an old friend of Carter. To finally go to the Grand Line and fulfill his dream of meeting all the beautiful ladies of the Grand Line as Carter once proclaimed “No girl is as beautiful as those at Paradise!” and to one day build a ship that Talin can proudly claim as unmatched! With the wind at his back and a patch over his eye, this diligent flirt is sure to see it all!

The Basics:

Ruva Verium

Age:
17

Race / Species: Human

Gender: Male

Height: 5'6" (170 cm)

Hair Color: White

Hair Style:
Messy spikes, despite any attempts to change it.

Clothing Preferences: Anything long sleeve, but always tears off the arms instead of buying short sleeves.

Role on Crew: Doctor

Combat Information

Fighting Style: Ruva specializes in hand-to-hand combat, specifically only with his fists. Because of his ability with 'God Hand,' he takes battle with his fist to the next level, striking at an enemy's weak points when the situation arises, but that comes secondary to beating the enemy until submission. The God Hand fighting style focuses on avoiding attacks while hitting the enemy with solid blows and flurry of attacks. However, his knowledge of the technique is still only that of a beginner, leaving much room for growth.

Weapons Carried: None.

Unique Abilities: God Hand: The body has many pressure points not visible to the human body clumps of nerves, muscles, and veins that, if you push correctly, you can cause the body to respond in the way you want. While the Ophidian Bane used this ability to give negative responses from the body, the God Hand turns it on its head, working in reverse to offer positive effects. All points are not present at once; they appear and disappear based on the target's mood, which is why the clan is best at assassinations before the target can tense up and such. God Hand overcomes this, though, as it can use its healing effects to cause hidden points to reappear, despite the target's mood. The God Hand is not a replacement for actual professional treatment. While he can use the skills to treat minor health effects and or boost properly treated ones, it can't go as far as heal a significant wound. For this reason, the God Hand's specialty comes from offering quick and helpful boosts to one's body by drawing energy from other places within the body, such as strengthen your resistance disease, freeing up your limbs, putting more strength into your muscles, etc. God Hand's abilities cannot be used on oneself, at least not without having nearly inhuman levels of precision to strike without sight.

The Personal Stuff:

Personality: Ruva is very growth motivated, taking everything around him as a chance to learn and grow his abilities as a doctor and increase his affinity with the God Hand. For that reason, he's very adamant about meeting new people and going to new places, constantly asking questions about how and why. He sees the world as a place filled with potential and that there's a reason for everything.
When it comes to being a doctor, Ruva takes things very seriously; but is constantly looking for excuses to test his abilities and knowledge. He'll sometimes go as far as to encourage people to make reckless actions, promising to heal them up afterward, ally or not. However, when actually risk is at stake, he quickly blocks everything else out of his mind, focusing only on the essential duty, protecting those he cares about.

Skills: Adept Precision
Medical Knowledge
Reading body language
Magic Tricks

Personal Strengths: Ruva won't hesitate to help anyone who's injured, asking questions later. He tries to see the other side to everything, not liking to believe anyone is genuinely ill-intentioned. He has a lot of pride as a doctor, and won't hesitate to snap back at anyone who questions his skills. Even in desperate situations, he can keep a calm head and evaluate things.

Personal Weaknesses: Ruva is very naïve and innocent. Despite his knowledge in medicine, he's nowhere near bright enough in other areas, susceptible to taking nearly anything someone tells him as truth until disproven. He's very immature, laughing at the simplest things, along with letting himself getting in a bad mood over them. Because of his obsession with learning and growing stronger, he'll commonly spend many nights without having any sleep, giving him a half-dead look.

Primary Aspiration: To find his mother and understand her reasoning, then apologize to the people of Trampoli Island together.

Backstory:
Ruva was born on the sea waves aboard a small merchant boat headed toward the island of Trampoli, located in North Blue. His mother, Saph Verium, was a blood relative to the Verium Clan, an infamous family of assassins. Learning a way to use their unique assassination technique, 'Ophidian Bane' to help people rather than harm, she gave birth to the 'God Hand' method and fled the clan for reasons unknown. Spending years upon the sea, she had finally found the place to call home, Trampoli, an island currently being ravished by the plague. With the newly born Ruva cradled in her arms, Saph came to the island, boasted of doing what numerous other doctors couldn't, and saving the town from the plague.
Within the first month, with her medical knowledge and the God Hand, she cured the village, not a single person dying since she stepped foot on the island. Everyone and Trampoli loved her, and by relation, loved Ruva. Saph had created the perfect environment for her child to grow. Ruva grew up to be 12 years old on a peaceful island, surrounded by kind villagers and friends. His mother spent as much time as she could be the town's doctor and train him to succeed her, not only as a doctor but also as a God Hand user, drilling the basics into him. There was one person who he came to know the most fondly, a sickly girl by the name of Kirreh. Because of her condition, the girl was commonly at Ruva's house while his mom looked over her, leading to the two having a good friendship, Ruva keeping her company while she was bedridden. While his mother was unquestionably a kind woman, she was a brutal teacher, but Ruva loved that side of her too. Then, one night, a pirate flag swung in the breeze near the shore that changed everything in his life.

unknown.png

The villagers hid in fear as the ominous ship loomed in the distance. Saph was the only one who was brave enough to confront the pirates. Telling Ruva to stay put inside the house and watch over Kirreh, the woman walked down the shore alone. It was not long after until the pirates raided the village, their weapons drawn and torches lit. The villagers screamed, fending for their lives as they were attacked and robbed, screaming for help. Ruva rushed to the village after hearing the commotion; he and all the villagers were treated to the same horrifying sight. Saph stood there, watching Trampoli being destroyed without a tinge of emotion, standing with the pirates. Ruva yelled at his mother at the top of his lungs, questioning his mother for her motivations, as tears and snot rolled down his face, but the woman refused to even look at him. He could not do anything as the pirates began to leave, accomplishing their goal, as Ruva's mother left along with them. Then, in a brief moment of clarity, he remembered Kirreh, who had left at home and rushed back. With his mother gone, no one could treat her. So began another nightmare within the same night.

Kirreh has entered critical condition, the sounds of the raid sending her into a shock as she realized what had happened. Ruva scrambled, trying to do whatever he could to save the girl, but there was nothing he could do. He lacked the knowledge and the skills of his mother. He was powerless to do anything as he watched his best friend die in front of him. The shock of both events shook the child mentally as he let out a scream that could be heard over the whole island. The villagers, still recovering from the betrayal, were now faced with the body of an innocent child. As they carried away the body, Ruva could feel their cold stares on his back as he kneeled against the ground, defeated. The scorn of the mother had transferred to the child, as silent and alone, the villagers had left him.

Ruva locked himself away from the inhabitants of Trampoli as he tried to piece together what had happened. What was there to do from here? His only solstice to be found in reading the medical books, but even that only reminded him of his mother. Was his mother lying to him his whole life? Was she not the woman he had believed he knew? He toiled with these questions for days, which turned into months, then years, barely eating and sleeping as the weight of everything attached to him. Finally, however, one small thing brought him out of the darkness. Sitting nestled in the final pages of one of his mother's books was a small note left by her. It was addressed to Ruva, congratulating him for making it this far. Ruva didn't realize the tears that spilled from his eyes as all his questions felt answered. His mother was a kind and genuine woman. That much was true; she must have had a reason to act as she did. He still wanted to follow in her footsteps and become a great doctor and master the God Hand. So he used Kirreh's death and his desire to reunite with his mother as goals to return to the world around him.

Even so, the teen had something much more important to do before he could hope to track down his mother—the hatred within the village towards him and his mother. He feared leaving the town in this state. Would he ever be able to call it home again if he left as things were now, even if he came back with her and apologized together? As a merchant boat docked at the pier, Ruva pushed those thoughts aside, sneaking aboard and seeing where the vessel takes him next.

Possessions: Kirreh's Bandages: The bandages that Kirreh wore while she was hospitalized, he keeps it as a reminder of what type of doctor he wants to be.
Doctor's Knapsack: A large bag filled with Ruva's various medical equipment and books, keeping a special compartment for the things he took from his mother. He always carries it on him, only taking it off when he's sleeping, relaxing, or taking something seriously. He moves around very nosily because of it, constantly bumping into people in crowds.

Height: 5'3"
Hair Color: Red
Hair Style: Long hair with bangs in the front.
Clothing Preferences: Cute swimsuits, sandals, a tank top or T-shirt, shorts, or a sundress.
Role on Crew: Cabin girl

Combat Information
Fighting Style: Cait can use the dagger-like fins on her wrist to stab or slice, she can also make slashes of wind with her fins; but as far as style goes, she hasn't really developed one. She can use her shark teeth to bite, or kick with a fishman's strength, but she's very inexperienced when it comes to actual fighting.
Weapons Carried: None
Unique Abilities: Cait has the strength of a fishman, allowing her to lift heavy items, like cannonballs, with ease. She could throw a cannonball if the situation demanded it.

The Personal Stuff:
Personality:
Cait is a friendly individual and likes to present herself as a happy person. When she's around, it's like having an older or younger sister (depending on your age.) She's adventurous and full of energy; very willing to try out new things. Despite what she was told about the world, she maintains a positive outlook, but she is still quite naïve. She views the world with a child-like wonder and is easily impressed by the simple things, grand things, and things she hadn't seen before. Sometimes too much newness can be distracting. She doesn't like missing out on things and childishly puts on a pouty face at times.

Skills:
Swimming
Singing
Playing guitar
Fishing

Personal Strengths:
  • Friendly, sister demeanor.
  • Tries to be helpful.
  • The small things can make her happy.
  • Determined to complete her goals, despite being so young.

Personal Weaknesses:
  • She's been told how the world works, but a lot of it she hasn't seen for herself; She hasn't been tainted enough by life to be cynical and generally trusts people at their word unless they are openly hostile to her.
  • She hasn't seen how violent the world behind her island home can be. She can be overwhelmed by scenes of intense violence/atrocities, leading her to freeze up and/or break down crying.
  • Trying to be daddy's happy little girl formed into a habit; she tries to present herself as a happy person and tends to grieve alone. especially when the source of her sadness stems from missing her parents.
  • Can be pouty.
  • Can be distracted by new things/experiences.

Primary Aspiration: She wants to go to Fishman Island and, hopefully, find her mother there.

Backstory:
Scott Merlin was just an average fisherman when he came across an injured tigershark fishwoman. He placed her on his boat and brought her back to his home; Fischer Island, a humble island in Paradise. Thankfully the fishwoman's injuries weren't life threatening. He had his doctor friend patch her up and was advised to keep her hidden until she healed up. It wasn't a secret that most of the islanders didn't like them even though they weren't a common sight.

Scott kept her hidden, for a while...he learned that her name was Tora and they quickly fell in love. Later, Cait was born. Scott loved his family, but they weren't integrated into life on the island thanks to the prejudiced neighbors. The doctor and his family were the only ones with an open mind. Tora tried to put up with the prejudice, but the deck was stacked against Scott and it became harder and harder for him to make a living, being outed as a fish lover. Tora decided that it would be better for her to leave the island. Not wanting to break Scott's heart more than she already would, she left Cait behind; she was just a child at the time.

Scott was devastated, but life did get a little easier...financially. Scott was able to make a full profit on the fish he hauled, but he'd sometimes drink himself to sleep at night as he missed his wife. He wanted to search for her, but decided to prioritize being a father. Cait was also saddened by her mother's departure, but seeing the effect it had on her father made her want to be his happy little girl. She hid that she was grieving from him; running off to cry alone or play her guitar.

One day, Cait decided that she'd leave the island to find her mother. She announced that she was going to go to Fishman Island and bring her mother back. Scott told her that she had to wait till she was thirteen. After turning thirteen, he still wouldn't let her leave. He told her how cruel the world was, how life wasn't fair; if she wasn't careful, she could wind up a slave or dead. A part of her knew that he was just trying to protect her, but she pouted through his lecture anyway.

After her father fell asleep, Cait wrote a note to her father explaining that she was leaving anyway. She had to find her mother and convince her to come back, or maybe get things arranged for them to live somewhere else. She packed up some essentials and her guitar; she also made sure to wear her locket, and snatched some of her father's money. She bought a ticket to Anzen. Although there were others on the same ship, they all kept their distance; no one even smiled at her. Wanting to find her mother as quickly as she could, she planed on joining a pirate crew. She knew her way around her father's ship and figured she'd make a great cabin girl. Hopefully she'd find a crew she could be real friends with.

Possessions:
A locket with the last family picture taken; It has her mom, dad, and herself as a child.
A guitar

The Basics:
Name: Françoise T. Applegate
Nickname:
Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivruski IV, Walking Circus
Age: 19
Race / Species: Human
Gender: Female
Height: 5'3
Hair Color: Dark Red
Hair Style: Ponytail
Clothing Preferences: Ed prefers wearing an outfit she can move in. She often adds a hoodie, trendy hat, and her trademark facemask.
Role on Crew: Navigator

Combat Information
Fighting Style: Like a... monkey. She claims to know a super-secret evolved Rokushiki technique that she calls 'Goritsuki' (Gorilla-punch). In reality, if she gets into a hand-to-hand fight, her fighting appears to be nothing more than flailing, or drunken boxing at best. However, someone that knows the Soru technique might notice a resemblance in her movements. Either way, this wouldn't be a likely situation, as she tends to fight with her brain and environment rather than her fists.

Ein is mainly a distractionary fighter, running circles around enemies and using his quickness to find ways to bite. Popeye will attack on command, taking a liking to the ears and eyes of his targets.
Weapons Carried: Brain, Ein the Mongoose, Popeye the Cockatoo, Rope, Paint.
Unique Abilities: Rokushiki -- Goritsuki (Soru?).

The Personal Stuff:
Personality: Ed is a conversationalist who likes to explore all sorts of interaction. In general, she's more animated than Mickey Mouse and just does life off the cuff. She also has an insatiable curiosity and seems to have a short attention span. Although when a situation demands, she can get in the zone and get the job done quicker than most. Edward is prone to finding trouble and always throws a wrench into the mix of what's going on. If there's one thing all should know, it's not to underestimate her because of her animated personality that seems to lack seriousness.
Skills: Artistic, Musical, Navigation, Intelligence, Slight of Hand, Sneaking.
Personal Strengths: Conversationalist, Animated, Free-Spirited, Curious.
Personal Weaknesses: Troublemaker, Free-Spirited, Self-Focused, Rule-Breaker
Primary Aspiration: Find a family that accepts her for who she is.
Backstory: Françoise was born, the typical savant child to a high class marine family. She was thrust into formal schooling a year earlier than most children, yet she seemed to excel above the rest of her class as if she had been held back a year. She was particularly exceptional at math and science. On top of all this, she managed to complete more than one grade every year. Part of this was due to the regimented schedule she had. Being such a gifted child, her parents found it important to micromanage every minute of her day. By age 9, she had surpassed the standard school system and had been awarded a personal instructor. It was the hope that through this new instructor, she would be shaped into the perfect Marine, the leader of the next generation.

Not only was she proving to be smart, she was also quite receptive when it came to training with her father. Her father was the reason for their high status. He was one of the esteemed members of CP9. As such, he had begun to teach his daughter the Soru technique of the Rokushiki. She would later adapt this technique to her own style, calling it 'Goritsuki' -- or Gorilla-punch. At first, Ed found the learning quite fun, and reveled in her earned achievements. However, being a young child, she grew to detest the long hours and strict schedules. She wanted to explore and play with the other kids she saw outside. The problem was, every time she'd try to do her own thing, she'd be strictly dealt with and have more of the nonexistent freedom taken away. So one day, she decided to use this knowledge everyone else seemed to cherish against them.

She snuck out of her house one night by throwing a rope out her window. She didn't bother to change out of her pajamas, as she found all the formal clothing she was forced to wear rather uncomfortable. She brought with her nothing more than her goggles and a few other odds and ends used for navigation. After all, she took much better care of her instruments than most others did. They were her best friends. She snuck through the night and climbed onto a small vessel whose crew was hitting the tavern. The few guards posted were snoring loudly and never noticed her pulling away from the dock. Using her navigation skills, she somehow managed to commandeer the small marine boat. It wasn't that long after that she crashed the boat into a nearby island.

Ever since, the girl has been wandering from place to place just making ends meet and living life the way she wanted. She met her Mongoose friend, Ein, on that first island, and it stuck with her ever since. That was because Ed had found the poor Mongoose with a broken leg and took the time to nurture it back to health. Ed was just happy to have a new friend. They'd become inseparable. Ever since her escape, the Marines have been chasing her. However, every single time they pick up a clue, they seem to pick up ten other clues that seem to point in the most random directions and have not been able to pin down her location. This is partially due to the fact that she picked up a different name for herself. Now, she's still the same person as she was the day of the escape. In fact, she has so much fun with disguises and messing around that there might be a number of minor misattributed bounties that really belonged to her.

Then came something that would change her life. Ed found herself stowing away on a ship one day, minding her own business as it was stolen and passed into the hands of a budding new captain, Scarlet Johanna Ingrid. It wasn't long after this that Ed was discovered. To her surprise, she wasn't chased off the ship. Instead, this new captain was looking for crew members and decided to make Ed her first mate. Normally Ed didn't like staying in one place too long, but this seemed like an interesting opportunity. So she decided to play along for a while.

Before she knew it, a crew had been assembled, she had spent a few years with them as the first mate of the Red Ribbon pirates, and had made their way to the Grand Line. It was there that trouble arose. Soon after arriving at the Grand Line, they encountered a pirate warlord that drew them into a battle they could not win. At first they seemed to be doing well, until the warlord's trap was set. Then everything started to fall apart. It wasn't long after this that Ed was knocked out by something hitting her in the back of the head. She was out for most of the fight as her crew mates were taken out one by one. The ship was destroyed and all was lost.

Finally, Ed started to hear some ringing in her ears. It sounded like someone was screaming. Suddenly, she popped up with a start, blurting out, "To the left! Hoist the wheels! Batt'n yer swiggets! ... huh?" She found herself on a large piece of driftwood from the destroyed ship with Ein making noise next to her. For a long time after that, all that was left on her face was a blank stare. They had lost. She had lost. For the first time in her life, Ed had lost at something. Everything was a blur and she couldn't figure out what went wrong. She felt like it was all her fault. Her first mistake had cost so much that she felt she was dangerous to have as a navigator or in any position with important responsibilities.

It took a while for her to recover from this, but over time she started to gain interest in musical instruments. Whatever she could get her hands on. She mostly remained speechless, but opened up and became more animated when she played her music. Her music eventually attracted the interest of a Moluccan Cockatoo that not so subtly inserted itself into the little family. Now there was Ed, her Mongoose Ein, and the Cockatoo. This Cockatoo helped her to break out of her shell a bit more. Eventually, she named the Cockatoo Popeye. From there she started to dabble in other artistic fields such as art and storytelling. During this time, she made her way to Anzen so that she could work through her problems without worrying about someone showing up to collect a bounty on her. Then, it came time when she had finally built up the courage to step foot onto a pirate ship again, but she was not intending to take on any specific roles for the time being.

The Personal Stuff:
Personality:
Mai is a good person at heart, but the adjustment from riches to rags hasn't been easy. Mai is a vain woman; she cherishes her beauty and it takes her longer than it needs to to prepare for the day. She's used to having all the necessities in life and doesn't like to spend more time in the "great" outdoors than she needs to. She's not a fan of bugs, snakes, the heat, the cold, etc. She's very vocal about her displeasure about things and can be quite theatrical. Though she's loyal through and through. If she gives up, but those around her haven't, she'll stubbornly start doing the activity again.

For her disposition, she's surprisingly good with kids; but even she has her limits and they can stretch her patience thin. She especially doesn't like it if they keep interrupting her stories. Mai can be tactful and polite when she wants to be, adressing people with the honorific -han (a different dialect version of -san). She quickly drops the honorific when she's being theatrical, using it more when she's trying to be polite, flirty, and/or wanting something.

Skills:
Storytelling
Reading/Writing
Sewing
Cooking

Personal Strengths:
  • Loyal
  • Good with kids
  • Generally gives off a mature air
  • Tries to find the positives

Personal Weaknesses:
  • Vain/overly concerned about her appearance
  • A vocal complainer
  • Rude when annoyed
  • Smokes whenever, wherever.

Primary Aspiration: To experience the world, find a new place to belong, and learn more stories.

Backstory:
Born on an island called Saga, Mai was born into one of the wealthier families. Saga is an island in a corner of Paradise that is stuck in the past. They aren't very trusting of outsiders and they don't teach woman how to fight. Mai's mother taught her the homely arts of cooking and sewing, hoping that she'd make a great wife for someone in the future. She also was taught how to read and write. She read a lot during her free time, and re-read to the point where she could tell the stories by memory.

Mai grew into a beautiful young lady and continued to tell stories, drawing in a crowd of people. Her stories weren't the only thing drawing in the crowds. Soon she found herself with multiple suitors, each giving her gifts. One adventurous young man gave her a weird, peach-like fruit. Mai ate it without knowing that it was a Devil Fruit (the Smooth-Smooth Fruit). It tasted awful. She gave the young man some harsh words and sent him on his way.

After a while, she noticed that her skin looked cleaner and smoother. Did the fruit taste so bad because it was meant more for medicine? She went to the young man's house, planning to apologize. What she saw was a young man at his breaking point. Financial troubles and being rejected by Mai was driving him toward taking his own life. He was out in a field, ready to stab himself with his sword. Mai tripped and slid down the hill, colliding with the young man as he tried to stab himself. He ended up stabbing Mai, but because of her new Devil Fruit powers, the blade slipped across her skin and didn't harm her.

"Sorry...," she apologized for bumping into him. She was about to apologize for how she acted earlier, when a witness started to scream about a devil. Mai was confused, but the woman was screaming about her. People tried to grab her, but her smooth skin kept helping her slip out of their grasp.

When everything calmed down, Mai was shunned by the villagers. Everyone, even her own family, was convinced that she was possessed by some sort of demon and was lying about the weird fruit. Mai was banished from the island. Angry and hurt, Mai packed up a truck of clothes and put it on a small cart.

Anzen wasn't her first stop. On her way she found an island with a library and found books about Devil Fruits. She also found reading material about pirates, the marines, and different islands in Paradise. That's were she learned about Anzen, after spending most of the day in a library reading books for free.

Sometimes things don't make sense until the end of the story. Maybe being banished was secretly a blessing. Now she could experience the world, learn more stories, and wouldn't have to worry about being stuck as a Saga housewife.

A smoking pipe
A paper fan

Name: Ralph Trinity

Nickname: Crow

Age: 12

Race / Species: Human

Gender: Male

Height: 4’10’’

Hair Color: Dark brown

Hair Style: Like a crow’s nest most of the time.

Clothing Preferences: Googles, tank top, jeans, belt, and a pair of fingerless gloves

Role on Crew: Thief, Scout, 2nd Lookout

Combat Information

Fighting Style: Ralph fights using trickery for the most part, though he does know how to throw and punch and a kick when he has to, he’s not particularly trained in any form of martial arts. He mostly just flies around his opponent and waits for an opening before swooping in to kick them in the crotch or something. What Ralph lacks in power, he makes up for with speed and ability to fly. His wings as a crow are decently strong/durable and his talons (as well as beak) are sharp.

Weapons Carried: A set of lockpicks.

Devil Fruit: Crow-Crow fruit.

Devil Fruit Abilities: It’s a zoan type fruit that let Ralph transform either partially or fully into crow. Users gain all the advantages of a crow, increased speed(especially during flight), light yet durable feathers that can cushion impact, sharp talons, and become adept at voice mimicry. If there are other crows nearby, he can call them to assist him.

Devil Fruit Weaknesses: While he does gain the increased speed/strength of a typical zoan fruit user, crows aren’t the fastest nor the strongest birds of the predatory birds out there. His full bird transformation actually shrinks him to the size of your typical crow (albeit a bit larger than average). Users of this his fruit also gain an attraction to shiny things.

Other Unique Abilities: N/A

The Personal Stuff:

Personality: ‘Finders keepers, losers weepers’ was the mentality that Ralph gained growing up in a thief’s guild. A believer of personal freedom, like his adoptive Father, Ralph doesn’t believe anything in the world is truly owned and doesn’t really feel guilt taking things that people just leave out in the open—especially shiny things. Friendly and fun-loving, Ralph enjoys the challenge of a successful theft rather than the item itself, though he’s also a bit of hoarder and likes collecting things as trophies. Shiny things appeal to him. He takes great pride in his skills as a thief and never turns down the challenge to steal something. Due to his adoptive father not being the best parent around, Ralph grew up to be independent and resourceful, but he's not immune to childish stubbornness at times. He's still only 12, after all.

Skills: Thievery, stealth, pickpocketing, lockpicking

Personal Strengths: Clever, Friendly, Determined, Free-spirited

Personal Weaknesses: Impulsive, Driven by curiosity, Greedy, A little short-sighted, Stubborn, Mischievous and likes playing pranks.

Primary Aspiration: To steal a great treasure worthy enough to be recognized as master thief like his dad.

Backstory: Raised by gang of thieves on Clockwork Island, Ralph never knew his birth parents. His adoptive father, Master Thief Jack Trinity, found him as a babe crying in the trash can one day. The young man did his best to raise the child, but, truth be told, his adoptive father wasn’t the best parent around. Sometimes the go-lucky thief would forget to feed him. Sometimes he would leave the gang’s acquisitions within the child’s reach. That was how the young toddler—barely a two yeras old—accidentally came to eat the Crow-Crow fruit. Obviously the thieves weren’t too happy about the item they planned to sell being eaten and Ralph considered it fortunate that Jack Trinity wasn’t the kind of man to sell him. Ralph never learned to swim, so the young boy never really mourned his loss in that regard. Instead, the winged boy took to the skies. He loved flying and practiced diligently so that he could grow up to help the gang of thieves that raised him. Learned many tricks of his adoptive father’s trade.

However, while the gang didn’t deny his help from time to time, Jack Trinity never let Ralph officially join. Refused every time Ralph asked. Jack claimed that his skills as a thief still weren’t good enough to do the dangerous work they did. That the boy was still too young. Frustrated, Ralph, at the age of 10, swore to not return home until he stole the greatest treasure, better than anything his adoptive father could steal, and make the Master Thief regret not letting him join. It’s been two years since then. Flying from island to island as a crow stealing things, Ralph eventually found his way to Anzen Island.

He didn’t intend to stay for long. He just wanted to rest his wings for a bit on an island protected from marine influence.

Possessions: A colorful feather accessory that had been found on him since birth and a good luck coin that Jack Trinity had given him once.

*Atophobia, fear of being alone like she was on her island before meeting Hardwin.
*Atraphobia, fear of thunder and lightning, the loud sounds and sudden flashes of light terrify her.
Primary Aspiration: Per her own words, all she does is enjoy the simple life with her friends, and her motivations are rather simple: they revolve around protecting those she cares about.
Backstory: Davina was born to parents who belonged to one of the smaller colonies that housed one of the few remaining Poneglyphs. She lost her home and entire family to a Marine attack at a young age, and wandered the battlefield afterwards. She wondered the battlefield for days after the vicious attack on her home island. Her knees and elbows scraped and caked with dirt, tears running down her face formed lines down her face amidst the dirt and grime that covered it.
Davina knew that her family was dead, and there was nothing she could do to change that fact. She decided then that she would stop feeling sorry for herself, accept fate, and learn something that would make her useful to anyone that found her. Problem was, other than reading Poneglyphs, she didn't know how to do anything! She also knew to keep her ability to read those ancient things a secret, as that was the reasoning for the attack that killed everyone she knew.
A week of her alone on her island, eventually she heard the sounds of people talking and footsteps coming her way. Davina hoped it would be some local pirate group or a trading, unfortunately life wasn't so kind. She made herself scarce, which was easy to do, considering how tiny her body was. As she peered from behind rock, ash covering her face, only the whites of her eyes were visible, she watched as a group of Marine's combed the area looking for survivors. After a while of finding nothing, the group was ordered to split up, and report their findings immediately.

She figured, if she were to find a better hiding further away from the danger of being found, now was the time. When the last of the Marine's were out of sight, Davina turned to run away quickly when she ran into something hard that knocked her to the ground. This marine stood out against the grey of the world around him, with his bright white suit, his large white smile, and his white and blue cloak. He stared down at her with his glowing green eyes. Davina began to panic, not knowing if she should try to escape from this man or if she should just give up and accept her fate. The man uncrossed his arms, Davina flinched and closed her eyes as tight as possible, not seeing that he was offering her a hand to help her stand. When he spoke to her, his voice was sweet and kind, and she decided to crack open one of her eyes. She stared up at him in confusion. She was a survivor, wasn't he supposed to arrest her or kill her on the spot? Was this a trick or some kind of sick joke? The man sighed and bent down, gently taking her arm in his hand and lifted her onto her feet.

After convincing Davina that he was not going to turn her in, which took a lot of time as she was very un-trusting of Marines after all, but she ended up smiling her biggest smile up at the man before furrowing her brows and asking "B-but, won't you get in big trouble? Saving me, while I appreciate it, but those other guys seemed really serious about finding survivors, so.. You could get in big trouble." She said as she looked at him, but the man shook his head smiling warmly down at her. "Don't fuss over things you need'nt worry about. Since I was the first to find you and not those others... Well, they don't know that you were here, Right?" Davina looked down at her feet, feeling somewhat guilty. She didn't want to cause any trouble for the first person who was kind to her... But at the same time, she couldn't stay here alone for much longer. She'd starve.

So, she followed this man, who she later learned that his name was Hardwin, to his ship. At first the crew questioned their captain's decision to bring this small girl onto the ship. They wondered if he'd gone insane or lost his mind being on the island that held a Poneglyph. He held up a hand to silence his crew and smiled and motioned to them. "Can you bring yourself to murder this small child, one that is nothing but skin and bones? We brought her world crumbling down around her, killed everyone she ever knew! If this does not bother you, then I ask who will step forward and did what I could not. No one? Then stop questioning my choice and do as I say! Take her to the kitchen and get a meal into her. After that, find her some clean clothes that fit her! Understood?!" Davina stared up at Hardwin, she felt her cheeks flush, and reached up to touch them. What was this feeling rushing into her, causing her heart to beat fast, making her legs weak, and making her smile in a stupid way? Davina had never felt this way before, and didn't understand what it was that was causing it.

She took the hand of a crew mate that led her away from Hardwin and to the kitchen area, asking her what she wanted to eat. She looked back at him and shrugged, not having eaten in such a long time anything sounded good. The man twisted his mouth, unsure of what to get this small child to eat, but he eventually made his way into the kitchen.. He brought out a bowl of fruit and placed it before her, looking to the door as Hardwin enter and join her at the table she was sat at. He couldn't help but chuckle at how big her eyes had gotten when the food had been place before her. He warned Davina to take her time eating that it would make her sick, but he was ignored and she began to stuff her face. She smiled up at him as she finished the bowl and threw her hands into the air as if she had just finished a race. Not soon after her face turned green and she rushed out onto the deck and emptied the contents of her stomach over the side of the ship. Wiping her face of with the back of her hand, she looked back and found that Hardwin had followed her outside, holding a drink out to her, saying that she should wash the taste vomit from her mouth after chuckling at her.

After that embarrassing moment in her life, time passed for her, as it tends to do. She got older, but stayed the small skinny girl that Hardwin had found way back on her home island. The crew all began to accept her and she began to develop her own boisterous personality. While she was unaware of the dangers of the world around her, as long as she was on the ship surrounded by the crew and in close proximity of Hardwin, nothing could damper her spirits.
Eventually, Hardwin noticed that even though she had a smile on her face, Davina had nothing to do with her time aboard his ship. After a great deal of thinking, he called his own shipwright to his office. After much arguing, mostly about the fact that she was too tiny to learn the art and craft that was being a shipwright, Hardwin won the battle and got the man in charge of repairing and keeping the ship going to speak with Davina. At first, she was weary about the idea. She knew that it would be tough on her, and she knew that the shipwright was certainly not happy about the idea. However when she was told that Hardwin wanted her to do this, all her doubts melted away, after all... She did want to impress him and try and make her notice her.

And yet again the years pass, as they always do, and bit by bit she began to learn the craft of being a shipwright. At first she struggled with it, and was unsure that Hardwin had made the right choice with his decision to have her learn to do it. Davina didn't want to disappoint her crush, but at the same time.. Everything to do with this task was so time consuming and it really tested her strength and the shipwright, Lucas, patience as well. Bit by bit, however, she got stronger, and did things the way that Lucas wanted them to be done and finally she saw him smile. When she won over Lucas, Davina couldn't help but rush to Hardwin's quarters and threw the doors open. She said that she'd finally mastered what he'd set out for her to learn. He smiled at her and patted her on the top of her head, as if she was a child. It was then that she knew that he'd never see her as anything but the dirty little girl that he'd found hiding behind that rock. She rolled her eyes and, smiled beneath his hand. After that, things changed quickly and so did her life.

Hardwin explained that her last lesson would be sword play, and the fact that she had put muscles into her arms, would help keep her safe from others who would cause her harm. She stared at him in confusion. "Well... But, why would I need to learn something that'll keep me safe? I have you and all of the crew! They all care for me, and I know you do too.. So--" She stopped mid-sentence, as she saw that he wasn't the same vibrant, laughing Hardwin she was used to. Davina watched him as he sighed and walked away from her, sitting behind his desk. He put his chin into the palm of his hands, looking down at the paper on his desk before looking back up at her. "Davina, I need you to seriously listen to me. I need you to hear what I say, to not interupt me as I speak, and be silent until I'm finshed speaking. Is that understood?" He said, his soft voice that he usually spoke to her in had hardened, no smile wore upon his face. Why was he speaking to her like that? What could've possibly happen to cause this change in his personality?

He then began to explain that she could no longer stay on his ship and everything he was teaching her was so that, if they ever got separated was so she could live without them and survive on her own. Hardwin then began to tell her that word had gotten out that he had saved a survivor of the cursed island and was being called in to reprimanded, and that she shouldn't be on the ship once they reached the Marine headquarters. It was as if she had been punched in the gut, all the air was drained from her lungs. She began to nervously laugh, as if he were telling some kinda joke. But when his expression didn't change she knew that he wasn't being a funny, that he was worried for her and didn't want her to die. Then she realized why his personality had changed so severely
So, after a few months of training with him, and he didn't pull and punches, which left her with many scars she had learned enough sword play, enough that she'd be able to defend herself from the very basic of attack. Hardwin then began to head to an island that he knew that Marines never traveled to, and they'd never think to look there as it wasn't an exciting place to go and nothing ever happened there. The last remaining days, she spent with Hardwin attempting to cheer him up to the best of her abilities and fine tuning her shipwright abilities with Lucas, fine tuning them as best as she could. There wasn't much more to learn, as Lucas was an astute teacher.

As they approached the island of Anzen, all the crew members told her their farewells, Lucas gave her his bag of tools choking back tears, giving her a shakey smile. Hardwin handed his sword to her, explaining that he wanted her to keep it and to never forget the lessons she'd learned while aboard his ship. She smile at each of them, not shedding a tear as she wanted to show to them all that she was strong enough to live on her own. Hardwin's final gift to Davina was a bag of gold coins so that she could find herself a place to stay, which she took from him as she tried to keep her hand from shaking. Saying her goodbyes, she stepped off the ship without looking back at them. If she did, she was worried that she may loose her calm demeanor and break down into uncontrollable tears...

Possessions: Tools for ship repairs, such as hammers, tacks, nails, bolts, etc...
