It was raining that June morning when Faye Donovan went into labor with her first child, a daughter which she named Georgia. Faye's husband, Edward, was nowhere to be found when Georgia came into the world. The heir to the Donovan throne had been born a girl, which disappointed Edward, and his father, Dorian, greatly. Instead, Faye's trusty housekeeper was by her side, guiding her through the difficult birth that threatened both Faye and Georgia's lives. All the money in the world couldn't guarantee that both mother and child would make it out of the private delivery suite of Pinegrove General. But, by some miracle, Faye and Georgia survived what could have potentially been a tragedy.

Faye wasn't the motherly type from the get-go, and for years, Georgia wondered why her mother refused to spend time with her. In public, she seemed like a doting mother who just wanted the best for her darling daughter. Even after her brother, Henry, was born three years later, the nannies were busy again instead of Faye, raising both Donovan children as best as they could. But Georgia was determined to protect her baby brother from the turbulent internal chaos that occurred all too regularly inside the Donovan mansion. Georgia's father, Edward, preferred to run around on Faye with many a woman. Faye didn't take too kindly to Edward's infidelity, which led to screaming matches at all hours of the night. Luckily for Georgia and Henry, they were swept away and sent to boarding schools in Switzerland before the worst of it started.

Georgia stayed in Switzerland even after blossoming into a young woman. She didn't want to go back to the Donovan mansion. She had her trust fund, and she had her wits about her, and that was all she needed. She waited until Henry was old enough to make his own decisions about his life before she decided to go back to Pinegrove. Edward wanted Georgia to stay at home and be a socialite, like her mother, but she wanted to go to business school, and she did. Henry wasn't old enough to take on any responsibilities at Donovan Enterprise yet, so Edward reluctantly allowed Georgia to start working at the company, albeit at a lower position than she would have liked to be at. And that's where she is today, butting heads with Edward on where the company should be heading.

Headstrong as only a Donovan could be, Georgia prides herself on being a hardworking, passionate individual with many strengths. Her one weakness? Love. In the past, she has been quick to fall in love with men who just want her money, not her heart. She has given her heart away to countless men who leave her heartbroken every single time. Georgia has tried to be cautious as she's gotten older, but the love bug just keeps biting, and she can't help but fall for scumbag after another scumbag. She is a gentle soul who's eager to please, but if someone hurts her or her brother, then her claws will come out. Other than that, Georgia's an open-minded, reasonable woman who's trying to break out of the Donovan mold built around her.

Marcus Coleman had never heard of the town of Pinegrove prior to his mother's untimely death. It was only upon her dying request that Marcus go to Pinegrove. Marcus was skeptical - after all, she had never spoken about Pinegrove before, so why the sudden change of heart? Marcus decided then and there that he was going to take it upon himself to travel the four hundred miles to Pinegrove.

Born to a single mother on a snowy January evening, Marcus Sidney Coleman never got to meet his father. His mother, Mara, had always told him that his father had passed away prior to his birth, and he had believed her wholeheartedly for the first twenty-two years of his life. It was only until Mara lay dying in a hospital bed that she mentioned Pinegrove. She barely had time to explain before she passed away, but she had told him that Pinegrove would have all the answers he was looking for. It would be difficult for him to know what kind of questions he needed the answers to, but it was worth a shot, right?

What makes Marcus Marcus? His athleticism, ambition, and his all-American spirit, that's what. He's the ultimate boy next door, but don't test him. Marcus can and will fight if provoked. He's a no-nonsense kind of guy, taking pride in whatever he puts his mind to. Marcus is always up for a challenge - the more difficult, the better. He's a realist, knowing full well that Pinegrove might (and probably will) be a total bust.
