Keep in mind when choosing a quirk that I will deny quirks I believe could pass a hero exam. Exceptions can be made for those who have a reason not to use that quirk (it causes pain, it requires human sacrifice, etc)

Up to two characters will be allowed

Name: Hinata Masomora
Appearance:

images

Gender: Neutral
Age:26
Costume:
images

Hero Name: Reaper

Personality: 'Like water of a ducks back', that was a phrase that could describe how Hinata felt about things. Even at a young age they never saw much use in worrying about life. Of course their apathy towards stress shouldn't be taken as apathy towards life. Hinata is very much an out of the box thinker who enjoys living and experiencing life.

Background: Hinata never knew their parents, instead growing up in a pleasant little orphanage. It was during this time that they discovered their quirk, waking up one morning without their skin. The staff were horrified and there was panic all day; though soon everyone realised it was just their quirk. Still, Hinata's lack of skin made it hard to find parents willing to adopt him. But eventually they were adopted by a single mom who also had a mutation quirk (Lobster).

During school students used to pick on them, telling them that they was going to become a villain because of their ugly quirk. Hinata never listened. If anything it just pushed Hinata to become a hero that much more. They'd prove that anyone could be a hero, even if you look vilanous.

Quirk: Bones - Hinata has nothing but a skeleton, held together by their quirk. They can detach any of their bones and reattach them at will, but if they loses a bone theyll have to find a replacement. They can also control their body when their head isn't attached, but will die if their head is destroyed. Despite having no organs Hinata still breaths, eats, and sleeps.

Trivia:
- Hinata smokes
- no one knows whether Hinata was born male or female; except for doctors and other school staff

Itadori Tsurigi
Appearance:
1615938805776.png
Gender:
Male
Age:
19
Hero Name:
Bypass
Personality:
Itadori can be summed up in one word: logical. He does still feel emotions, but he very rarely acts upon them. Instead, he takes his time to process all relevant information in order to form what he believes is the best cause of action for himself. In his eyes, being a hero is what makes the most sense. They get paid the most money, everyone loves them. In fact, heroes can basically get whatever they want. In some ways, they're above the law. Why wouldn't he want to become one?

The emotion he most frequently falls a victim to, however, is arrogance. He has so much confidence in himself that sometimes he'll refuse to listen to other people's input, and even if he is proven wrong, he will come up with some excuse to say he was, in fact, correct all along. He will frequently turn down offers of help as he thinks, once he has formulated a plan that just involves him, that they will only slow him down.
Background:
Itadori, for the most part, had an easy upbringing. His parents weren't the richest, but they definitely weren't poor. In fact, his mum and dad both had fairly well-paying jobs, meaning that life was comfortable. Comfortable and boring. Itadori failed to see why his parents were so happy being complacent, but as he continued to grow older, he stopped questioning it, coming to terms that whatever he said to them was pointless. He was just a kid so why would they listen? If he wanted to be successful, then he had to do it himself and he could rely on nothing but logic in order to make it.
Quirk:
Switcharoo- This quirk allows Itadori to swap places with the last thing he had touched with his hands. However, once he has swapped places, he must touch something else in order to use his quirk once more. Using this ability in quick succession will disorientate Itadori.

As it is swapping positions, if he swaps with a person, they will be facing the same way Itadori was before he activated his quirk, and momentum is not lost. However, momentum can be gained from the swap.
Trivia:
Despite relying on logic, Itadori is fairly average when it comes to intelligence, hence making his logic flawed half of the time.

Name: Sakura Baunsu
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Costume: Lacking an official costume, Sakura does however hold specialized shoes to cushion impacts as well as offer suction cups that can be deployed. An Emergency pack is also carried that deploys a rapidly inflatable single-use surface. The rest of her current outfit includes padded layered fabrics for the most part to reduce her quirk.
Hero Name: BB

Personality:
The model daughter on the surface holds a deep genuine love for their family as well as the few true friends she has managed to acquire. She is, however, no stranger to advances and those seeking her friends for their own gain, nevertheless, she plays her part and accepts their company. Despite all this, she can be genuinely friendly and kind if overly cheerful with a slightly immature side as her interests draw her into trouble. Regardless she puts forward confidence and determination to whatever she sets her mind to.

Background:
A popular girl from new money, her parents having amassed a considerable fortune from the stock markets to the point they were capable of living off more than comfortably from the interest alone. While she has also been making her own money through online methods, she had dreams of hitting the big time with perhaps helping a few people along the way.

Quirk: Bounce
The user's body has proven very durable and holds the incredible bouncing potential when kinetic force is applied, however, does not include methods to deactivate the effect leading to uncontrolled movements unless they strike a soft enough surface, caught, or meet enough resistance that is not a solid surface.

Name
Kiyoshi Teruma

Hero Name

Personality
Sardonic || Apathetic || Lazy

Kiyoshi has a bit of a mouth and dry sense of humor, but he is never loud with either. He is more likely to mutter or say something flatly that is likely to go unnoticed by everyone around him and is even more likely to think whatever he said was hilarious even if it was rather insensitive and unkind. He has a rather grim view on the world and others and will often watch how they interact with others and try to play the reasons out in his head as if he is watching some kind of movie or show that doesn't actually involve him and act like some kind of critic as he reviews what he sees, even his own part in it, with a detached sarcasm. This emotional distance and apathy has been a part of Kiyoshi for some time now, the distance and removal of himself from the 'situation' and 'life' is a defense mechanism. He knows, better then anyone, how much something can hurt, what pain can do, and he tries to avoid it. If he comes to care about someone, and sees them hurt, he will try to fix it... He doesn't want to break himself to fix others. It hurts. This refusal to get close to people has slowly manifested into an intense laziness. Kiyoshi has pushed himself so far away that he often feels like he can do nothing so why bother doing anything? If he goes out, he may meet people. If he does something he enjoys, he may find others that share that habit which, in some way, shape or form, would create a connection. The only thing Kiyoshi works hard at is... not working hard. Kiyoshi does everything in his power to seem boring, plain and devoid of any interesting features and has gotten extremely good at it, almost scarily so. The distance is fine, its safe, its fine, everything will be fine so long as he stays a watcher, an unseen face, as long as he doesn't try to become a hero.

Background
The only thing impressive about Kiyoshi's life is how unbearably average it has been. He was raised in an average two parent household in an average two child home with an average financial situation. He was neither incredibly intelligent, good looking or driven, in fact, he was... pretty average in all of that. His sister, Yoko, is the opposite excelling where Kiyoshi resides in the middle of the pack. Despite being two years younger, Yoko discovered her quirk first, Impulse, the ability to strike something and alter its vibrations to cause anything to shatter. Kiyoshi didn't discover his quirk until he was eleven and was thrilled. He used it to cure small cuts and scraps of other kids and never noticed the cost of his ability, after all, he was always a creepily fast healer so cuts and scraps disappeared, often, before he even noticed and the pain, the intense sting or mind numbing throb, was just the price of using a quirk, at least, he assumed it was.

It wasn't until the new transfer student, Akina, arrived that he learned the cost. Akina had been in a house fire years ago and was covered in burn scars, scars that never truly healed as it hurt her whenever she moved or bent certain ways. He had never tried to heal anything that bad, but he could try, right? After all, a part of him always wanted to be special like Yoko, when he touched her, she was whole again. Her skin unblemished as if the fire had never happened, a nightmare, an echo of what was... But before Akina could even marvel at the disappearance of the pain, of the sensations of touch as the nerves, long burned away, were refreshed, Kiyoshi screamed. His skin disintegrated as black dust caught in the wind, his mind shattered into a thousand pieces as he felt it. As he felt the layers of his skin burn and peel away revealing new layers of raw nerves to sear away. The intense pain she felt in the hospital as she was wrapped up, as dead flesh was cut and moved away, the discomfort and stinging pain she had dealt with for years whenever she moved wrongly, whenever she tossed and turned in bed, all condensed into a single moment that lasted an eternity. When he came to his senses, he was in the hospital and it had been three days. All the damage had healed, as if it had never happened, but the memory remained. When he thought back to it, his body froze, his hands would shake and no matter how much he told himself it was over, he couldn't make himself do it again. He couldn't heal anyone else. The mental trauma had scarred him far more then the non-existent flames ever did... How many more times? What if he healed something so bad and he never came back from it?

As the weeks rolled on, Kiyoshi became more and more withdrawn. When he saw people, he didn't see them. He saw their old scars, their possible pains and injuries, and he thought of the pain again. At first, he tried to fight it, tried to stick it out, tried to open up with his parents about what he was going through, but... he eventually decided to stop fighting it and accept it. It was a part of him now and if it helped keep him safe and together then what did it matter? It would be four years before he'd use his Quirk again. A super villain was attacking the city, which, in itself, was not out of the ordinary, Kiyoshi can't even remember his name any longer just that he seemed to have the ability to take a bite out of anything and then spit it back out like some kind of cannon. One of the new aspiring heroes, Lady Lancer, was fighting him. Quick and agile, with the ability to shift her arms into impossibly dense and sharp spears and coupled with her hero gear that let her rapidly accelerate in straight lines, she was like a charging knight of old. She was dodging the hail of miscellaneous bullets. It was an accident, a slip, Lady Lancer landed on a railing that gave out and tumbled to the street. With the opening, the Villain managed to pelt her in the leg, wounding and slowing down the normally quick hero. She would take three more shots, each putting another hole through her body all whilst Kiyoshi watched from behind a corner. It was all happening to someone else, the world was like a tv show, it didn't matter, the other heroes would be here soon and they'd back up Lady Lancer and bring down the Big Bad Evil Guy just like they always did. That is what they were paid to do. That is what modern day society was built upon. That is what he kept telling himself even when a particularly nasty shot put a clean hole through her stomach and she could no longer stand. His mind kept telling him it was going to be fine, it was expected, this was how the world worked, it wasn't really real anyways and didn't concern him. It was what he told himself. But it didn't seem to tell his legs as they frantically bolted towards the fallen hero.

Kiyoshi felt the impact that rocked his body as the projectile pierced through his arm and shattered his bone, but he couldn't hear the villains' mockery over the loud beating of his heart that drowned out the world, his panic stricken mind didn't quite understand what was even happening as he dived towards Lady Lancer and touched her hand.. But he did understand the pain that followed. He once again woke up in a hospital, this time, it had been only a day. He had saved Lady Lancer, healed her wounds and fully recovered, she quickly defeated the villain of the week that had been 'terrorizing' the city. His defeat stayed in the news for a few days until the next Big Bad Evil Guy showed up, and his own role was barely mentioned which suited Kiyoshi just fine... What didn't suit him just fine was Lady Lancer's visits. She came by multiple times in the hospital, first time she thanked him and asked about his life... Shortly after he left the hospital, a letter arrived inviting him to some hero academy, one he had never heard of and, as far as a quick internet search said, didn't exist, so Kiyoshi did what anyone does when they get spam mail, he tossed it in the trash. A few days later, Lady Lancer showed up to ask if he had gotten the letter.. The letter he had thrown away, the fairly obvious 'this is con' letter.. which now seemed to not be so fake. Lady Lancer explained it was an academy for people that, for some reason or another, didn't have ideal quirks. An academy that would help them excel. She knew this because she had gone to the academy and they had turned her into the hero she was today... Kiyoshi refused and pushed her out of his house. Lady Lancer would drop in on him randomly over the next week or so, poking and prodding him into agreeing to take the test, but in the face of his stubborn refusal, she did the greatest move of all, she approached his parents.

As his sister had been accepted into UA, to say they were thrilled that their.. rather underachieving son had a shot at becoming a professional hero was an understatement and any arguments he had died in the face of his father giving him the 'Second Best Father Glare' and informing him that he would be taking the entrance exam. Lady Lancer may have won that round, but not the war, Kiyoshi would not become a hero, he would not waste his time with forced heroism classes in some school for wash outs, after all, all he had to do was flunk the test, how hard could failing be?

Quirk
Absolution

Kiyo's quirk is... useful yet not useful. Powerful but weak. Absolution allows Kiyo to heal someone else and unless they are, quite literally, dead, they will instantly recover. Not just new wounds, but old wounds as well regardless of their age. Absolution can return lost limbs, can heal old scares, snap bones back into place, remove foreign objects from the body, can cure sickness and return organs and tissue back to a 'prime' condition. The only thing Absolution cannot heal is mental trauma. However, the injuries don't 'disappear', not truly. Kiyo 'absorbs' the injuries onto himself. If he used it open a woman who lost her leg, her leg would rematerialize as if by magic as his own disintegrated. The wounds Kiyo take are not... as lasting as they are on the person he healed as the taken wounds will heal, at a very rapid pace. If he fixes a broken arm, his arm will be broken for a few days as it rapidly snaps back into place. If he repairs a severed limb, his own lost limb will slowly regrow [and yes, it is very gross] over the next week or so. This goes for his own natural regeneration as well so if he were to cut his arm, he could watch the wound he just made rapidly begin to close.

If they do not have.. quite the same 'body' as a normal person, the damage he takes will be 'equivalent' to the amount and location they got it on.

However, Absolution does not just take their wounds. It takes their pain. Every ounce of pain they ever received from that wound from the moment they got it to the moment he touched them and he receives it all instantly, in one large lump sum payment... This is then followed by all the pain he has from suffering the wound, himself, as he heals from it overtime. His Quirk will not allow him to pass out, the pain cannot be blocked nor suppressed, until that initial 'burst' has been felt, Kiyo will be conscious of it. In that moment, as they see their body healed, in that single instant, for Kiyo, it is an eternity as his senses are stretched and his body torn to shreds.. only to slowly be rebuilt to do it all again some other time.

Important notes: Kiyo does have an unnaturally high healing ability, however, for obvious reasons, he cannot use his quirk on himself nor can he pass on pain or wounds to others. He may only take them and has to be through physical contact. He cannot control what he heals, so when he does it, he heals everything. If the damage he heals is immense, he will almost certainly pass out after the initial rush of pain is over making his power a perfect example of 'use only in the case of emergences' as there won't be anything left for a second person.

She approached his parents.

Shortly after, Kiyoshi found himself applying for Phoenix Academy, a place for drop outs with little power could go and pretend they had a shot at becoming heroes.. Well, he never said such around Lady Lancer as she was a graduate of the academy, proudly, and seemingly with no shame, informing him that she had only been able to harden a finger until they taught her what for.... During the entrance exam, Kiyoshi went out of his way to bomb it.. But was accepted with a polite letter informing him that Lady Lancer had warned them that he would be trying to flunk it and that he was being accepted on the grounds of a glowing referral of a former student... And so Kiyoshi's life of forced heroism classes began.

Excellent character with a very nice quirk (It will actually be interesting to see his interaction with the principal who has dealt with similar quirk based troubles ;3)

One note on the history. In the future it would be appreciated if you discussed with me first in regards to details about the Academy. Overall I don't take too much issue with him being referred by a previous student; but my vision is that the Academy is a secretive kinda place. Invite only, secluded, that kinda thing.

So only changes id ask for his history are:
1. His parents don't apply, they receive the letter (they can still force him to go)
2. Lady Lance isn't open to everyone about the academy, she just tells Kiyoshi
3. The exam won't happen till we start, but he can still try to flunk when we do.

Hope that's all okay with you ^_^

DapperCharmer2.0 DapperCharmer2.0 My bad. I assumed it was a normal hero academy just one that specialized in taking people with 'less ideal' quirks and helping them overcome so not remotely as famous as the others, not a secret spetsnaz-style hero training academy that the government helps keep hidden for plot related reason.

Yea, the parents didn't apply for him [Although it would be funny to imagine the cast of My Hero Academia watching their parents do the actual test for them], they forced him into doing it via the power of being parents.

Alright, I'll make the edit to the exam not having been a thing yet and.. I don't think I had Lady Lancer telling anyone besides him about the academy, I think the only thing that was publicly aware is that she was an up and coming new hero. But I'll double check to ensure that I didn't have it as a common knowledge thing.

The Lady Finger thing may have been me misinterpreting "proudly and without shame"
Apologise if that's the case

Name:
Mamoru Tanaka

Appearance:
Pink Brown hair with amber eyes. Mamoru could be considered to be more physically built than most people his age. While not a complete athlete, he does train his body for his hopes of maybe one day being a hero. He's built much like the human version of a Clydesdale, with thick arms, a wide chest, and tough legs. He has a goofy smile, and a bit of more average face, though he doesn't let that bother him in the slightest. All in all, he's fairly confident with his looks, despite how outside the norm they might be.

Gender:
Male

Age:
20

Hero Name:
Matrix

Personality:
Mamoru is very much the dad personality of any group. Very helpful, almost to a flaw, and gentle to those who are younger or less mature than them, Mamoru strives to make others feel as comfortable as possible in any situation. This leads him to be more level-headed and calm in a group when the same situation with him alone would leave him frazzled. He often would guard his friends from any sort of danger, regardless of the toll it took on him. Walking his friends home in the dark, buying his friends food when they forgot their money, helping them study despite being only average in intelligence, etc. It didn't matter to him because he wants his friends and family to be safe, happy, and successful in their exploits. His flaws would definitely be his clouded judgment, more likely to believe a friend who is wrong rather than look at things from an objective point of view. He can be overprotective, which can annoy new people who don't know him that well.

Background:
Mamoru was born to a doctor and a model, and not the order you're thinking. Much like his mother, he had her average looks and got his father's average intelligence, coming out to be the most average person that his parents could have possibly created. This only becomes more apparent in his siblings, one of which carried a strong mind and beautiful face, and one who inherited his mother's amazing quirk to read minds. He, on the other hand, got his father's painful, painful quirk. While it might have its uses, and Mamoru often used it despite the warnings he received from his family, he learned early on that it was not a quirk that would ever be considered to be top material, especially after his rejection to UA. Watching his sister succeed where he failed made him proud, but he couldn't help but feel a little bitter at the way the cards had fallen.

Quirk:
Astral Shield

Mamoru can cast an astral projection of a shield in any shape that fits into a 5x6 square. The shield can block damage from oncoming attacks from allies and even become a dome of protection. The shield does have a two-second cooldown, however, real problem is that the shield transfers the pain of the attack directly to Mamoru's body. While he won't sustain any physical damage, the shield will only last for as long as he could stay conscious. At the point that he passes out, it will shatter and the protection is gone instantly.

Trivia:
Mamoru is very in tune with people's emotions, although he has trouble deciding between the nuances of several of them. What is boredom to one person, he sometimes reads as annoyance, often leading to a misunderstanding or two with him.

Looks great ^_^
Question on the quirk: 5x6 inches or feet?

Yeah, I thought about making it feet, but I figured it would be a bit decent then lol And I don't want that.

(Running the quirk by you real quick, since its sorta... out there. Could be a little too powerful for the setting, Also its weird.)
Quirk: Monstrous Appendages (Names also a work in progress.)
____'s has manifested in the form of 5 fleshy, snake like appendages that are attached to ____ at the waist. These appendages are about 6 inches wide. They vary in length, from anywhere between 6 to 10 feet long. At the end of each appendage is a bulbous head with teeth filled mouths. Additionally, these bulbs lack eyes, though they do have holes for hearing. ____ has absolutely no control over the actions of the appendages. Instead the appendages act on their own violition, each having the intellegance of a household dog.

The manifestation of this quirk caused major strain on ___'s body. As a result, ____ is etremely fragile, very VERY sickly, and has been diagnosed with an extreme case of anemia. ____ is prone to fatigue and randomly falls in and out of consciousness.

(Just the basic idea. Ive done it before, but it gets denied a LOT.)

Cut down to three tentrils and max then tendrils to 6 feet. Other than that, I'm happy with the quirk

Welcome aboard

Name: Alexander Rookstone

Appearance: Usually found wearing a suit, formal attire hailing from his privileged upbringing.1616474926538.png

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Costume: Black fully armoured suit, meant to compensate for his lack of special abilities, full of technology and gadgets1616475001098.png

Hero Name: Not yet decided upon
Personality: A protective, kind-hearted person who wants to be a hero to fulfil his ideals. He is hard-working due to his "quirkless" nature and has always been really dedicated. His recent bout with depression has led him to be a stronger man, but he constantly fights with that depression every single day, almost like he has something to prove to the school and his classmates.

Background: Growing up in a wealthy family, everything was laid before him for whatever he wanted to choose. Seeing the hero Eraser Head when he was younger, he was inspired by how someone with a relatively weak quirk was able to stand toe to toe amongst the greatest. When he was 4 years old, he thought he was quirkless and truthfully it might as well have been. He is hard-working and fiercely intelligent, and he simply thought that his commitment and dedication was what led to his dominance in fields like his academics and athleticism. It's only until he attempted to take the UA entrance exam and fell at last place, that he realized that there are barriers he couldn't overcome from sheer hard work alone. He fell into a deep depression, and even with his family's help, he was, for a long time, completely inert, but that changed when one day he received a letter, an invitation that promised him he could be a hero. With his parent's blessing, he set out for a new path, one that would put him on the path to being a hero. A path filled with the blood, sweat and tears of his own making, that will push him beyond his limits.

Quirk:
Homo Superior - His quirk means that he is stronger, faster, more durable and is smarter than the average person. Strong enough to break through concrete walls with a punch and able to leap over trains, fast enough to outsprint a car and jab fast enough that if you blink you might miss it, and durable enough to have baseball bats break if swung at him, although the pain is still there. These physical improvements though are insignificant in a world filled with people who can destroy city block with air pressure from their punches, people who move and think as fast as a speedster and can harden their skin to exceed the strength of steel.
Even his intellect, boosted by his quirk, still pales in comparison to the other intellect-based quirks in the world of heroes. The best way to describe this quirk is "better than nothing", which in the world of heroes is essentially nothing.

Trivia: He wears a cravat because during pollen season, he sneezes a lot and it doubles as a discreet handkerchief.
