Help Pasting Codes in Spoiler Tags?

How do you paste a code in as a plain text, inside a spoiler tag? I’m trying to paste the plain text of a code into a spoiler tag, but when I view the tag, it doesn’t give me plain text. Just the code preview, so how do I just put the text of the code into the spoiler? I’m confused
