Character sheet: Here!

Gimble was born from the union of a rock gnome and a forest gnome, Boddynock Waywocket and Breena Raulnor.
Boddynock was taken with his father, Orryn Waywocket, away from Lantan 1350 DR before the Spellplague hit. Orryn traveled the land with his son when he heard word that Hillsfar needed a jeweler. Many artisans would not travel so far away from the Sword Coast; however, the naivety and optimism of the gnomes speaks for itself. Orryn and Boddynock shipped for Amn and traveled north past Cormyr and the Dalelands, eventually settling in Hillsfar and beginning their own business. Orryn was a specialist jeweler and though he passed on the techniques he learned in Lantan to his son, without the high-end tools of that region, Boddynock became versed as any other jeweler artesian in Faerun. Eventually life caught up with Boddynock and he began searching for someone he could start his own life with. This search brought him to Breena Raulnor, a forest gnome who had been playing pranks on Boddynock as he searched Cormanthor forest for caves and possibly gems. Their story unfolded with them getting married.
1357 DR whilst Boddynock was getting hitched in the forest, Maalthiir overthrew the established government of Hillsfar and banned all non-humans from the city. So, when Boodynock returned he was rejected entry to the city and took Breena and himself to Yulash there they met back with Orryn.
Fast forward 1365 DR. Yulash is at war with Hillsfar, being a proxy for Zhentil Keep, the Waywockets knew they had to flee as Hillsfar was winning the war, but Breena was pregnant and Yulash had started drafting…. Boodynock had no choice but to fight, or his family would not be allowed to leave. He urged his family to flee, so they did.
1366 DR Gimble Sparklegem Waywocket was born in Zhentil Keep from the union of a rock gnome and a forest gnome, Boddynock Waywocket and Breena Raulnor. Gimble never knew his father, his mother and grandpappy did not speak of him much, but he knew from what they did speak about him that he was considerate and brave. Gimble however was not, Gimble was constantly teased with the sparkle of raw gems behind his grandfather’s workshop doors and knew that they were of incredible value. The gems were the reason his grandfather had a job! Why they had a roof over their heads and food in their bellies. The guards of Zhentil Keep just couldn’t keep up. Whenever Gimble walked the streets of the town he always had his eyes out for a gem’s illustrious glimmer. Whenever he got a haul in is grandfather would berate, sigh and then teach his grandson how best to turn his ill-gotten gains into a profit. His mother Brenna enjoyed admiring the spoils of her son’s “pranks”, showing him how to cast the minor illusion cantrip to increase his “pranking” capacity. As Gimbo grew his hobby turned into a specialty and was earning him a bad reputation with the law however, when Gimbo turned twenty he experienced something worse than any punishment the law would have given him.
1383 DR. The Shadovar came, destructive wizards whose homeland was located somewhere in the Shadowfell, destroyed Zhentil Keep. Only with his own skills and his mother’s sacrifice was he able to escape with his grandfather Orryn. All he was able to remember her by was a bottle of perfume she had left behind. Gimbo and Orryn turned to Phlan as their next destination, the trip sufficed to say brought both gnomes’, especially Gimbo’s outlook on the world to a bleak state. Gimbo slipped into depression for a while in the first year in Phlan, eventually his grandfather got him out of that state by forcing his grandson to do something, anything, to keep him busy. As time passed on Gimbo accumulated more and more lessons from his father on the art of being a jeweler. Still keeping his pranking skills, and inventory of raw goods full whenever he had the chance.
Thirty-nine years passed and Gimble had received an invitation to a guild! had enough gold and technical know how to put himself on the road, and journey out as his father, and grandfather had. His destination, the guild, in mind he set off to the West where *reads letter* Daggerford, Awaits him!

Character Sheet:

Please list your languages in the Tools & Languages box. You should know Common, Gnomish, and one additional from your background. Also list Thieves Cant from your class.

Please also list your background feature (Guild Membership).

Please mark that you are a FOREST Gnome. Also list your Natural Illusionist feature. With the Minor Illusion cantrip, please mark that it uses your intelligence for spell casting and cantrips are actually listed to the RIGHT of the word Cantrips. (The spells are listed horizontally, not vertically in their grouping).

You attack bonus is correct, but for damage, your rapier and short bow would also deal +3 damage from your dex stat. So rapier: 1d8+3 and shortbow 1d6+3.

How do you have 123g? If you sold items, you cannot before the game starts. At most you should have 15g + 1d10 (rolled in the dice channel with your stats), and you start with the gear from your class and background.

Character Bio:

Overall the backstory is fine, however the characters are not supposed to know Barovia exists. I believe the characters are supposed to meet in Daggerford, so you could very easily switch those two names out and it'd be fine.

When you're ready for another lookover or have questions, feel free to tag me ( Abrahms Abrahms ) in the discord channel!
