"Arte and Eric work for the people hunting you?" His stomach twisted. Eric was his best friend, Artemis was like a sister to him. How had everyone else been put together, but they were... his jaw clenched. No, it made sense he just didn't like it. "Jesus Christ. That's fucking insane" He didn't know how else to respond to it. Somewhere out there, there was an Aixa suffering from serious brain damage. His first instinct was to find her, find some way to help her. He pushed the thought from his mind. That was the exact reason that he had had to leave his own Aixa. One couldn't work with Team 73 and also try to save one single person. Though, he'd keep in mind to bring some kind of pain relief the next time he vanished from the Island, for the head aches this Aixa was dealing with. "You put up with a lot of shit, huh?" There was a small, crooked, comforting smile tugging at his lips. It was softer than the smiles he gave anyone else, but he couldn't help it. No matter what universe she came from, it was stil Aixa. "I'll do what I can to make this place a little less effort then. Just let me know what you need from me, okay?"

AIXA

'When I tell you to turn left, turn left,' Aixa signed. 'That's really the best I can ask for.' This Xander seemed to understand her, that she was choosing the future she thought was best. It was refreshing; her own Xander had of course said he understood, but he hadn't had to make the sacrifices this one had. Or the sacrifices Aixa had. 'Hey, do Kade and Thea exist with your team? It sounds like Kade doesn't.' Aixa didn't need to focus on her pain. Or rather, another Aixa's pain. She wasn't the first of her selves that she'd felt through the multiverse, and if she died, she wouldn't be the only one. Feeling herself die was the worst kind of feeling, but at least after it... well, it was over. 'Thea has to, at least. She's badass, powers or no.'

Xander gave a nod. Now that he understood exactly what he was dealing with, or more, what this Aixa was dealing with, he wouldn't ask questions about where to go if she said to. He also wouldn't ask questions about the future. It wasn't something he wanted to know. He was a soldier first and foremost, and while as a sniper he did have to make snap decisions, if someone who knew better was giving an order then he followed. "Kade doesn't. I'll look back and see if he exists is our world, but I've never heard of him. But do you mean the cop? Thea LeQueen? She dated Vince for a couple years, about a year back, but when it came to the Team or her, Vince chose the Team. It tore him apart. He leaves every now and then to check up on her still. Non-contact, and she's under government order to stay silent about us." He wasn't sure how that sounded, but at least they'd met after the Team so he didn't have to pull the whole dead act.

Aixa smiled--a true smile, maybe the first she'd had since she came here. 'So she really did become a cop.' Of course, it was sad that Thea and Vincent weren't the power couple they were in her world, but... it was nice that one of Thea's dreams had come true. It was nice to think that some of them could lead normal lives in the next universe over. Pain and tragedy would always be a part of them, no matter the universe--that was life. But a little less pain and tragedy was nice every once in a while.

Darren Chikara

Darren awoke with a burning pain upon his left arm. His eyes darted towards his left forearm, unsure what could be causing this agony. He found, that it was a thin blade burrowed straight through his arm and pinning him to what appeared to be a palm log. His breath became quick, as the realization of what he must now do struck him. He has to pull it out. Trembling, his right hand homed towards the blade's handle. It was dark brown, with an eagle craved into the end, and a tight leather grip. He tugged, tugged, tugged and, eventually, just ripped it out. The scream released from his mouth would've been heard for miles if he had not covered his mouth with his blood soaked hand. He ripped off part of his shirt and tightened it around his wound. It wasn't a proper bandage, but it would do for now. He staggered to his feet, dizzy, strangely exhausted. He was on an island. A large island. Oh, so very vast, so intimidating. Where to begin?

Xander couldn't help but match Aixa's smile. God, it had been too long since he'd seen it. He nodded. "Yeah, she's a cop. Actually, apparently she's a detective now, which is bad ass." It was kind of sad to know that such a little thing like someone getting the job they wanted was good enough to bring that smile to Aixa's face. Her world must have been worse than wack. Nonetheless, he was glad to see it. "So, you guys are being hunted down by a cannibal and another mutant group?" The smile faded from his face as he finally put it together. "You should tell me about that. We might be able to help." Thanks to the new job that the Team had gotten, they were able to cross over certain multiverses and do what they normally did on a broader field. If this was something that could be considered a part of their normal gig, he might be able to convince Shilo to take it up as a job. Though, saving themselves from whatever was going on... It would be a lot of work to convince Shilo of that.

Three

Three listened to the little girl's explanation, then nodded in agreement. Yet, her gesture was lacking conviction. It really felt like gasping at straws here, relying on a child to get herself out of that situation - even if it was an adorable one. She was still woefully unaware of her situation, and assumed her head shake was just lack of information from her guide's part. The bounty hunter was getting ready to turn and leave when a sound caught her interest:
"No more stopping for adults. They're stupid."
Upon hearing that, Three froze and a careful observer could pick up on her eye twitching. She stomped her way to the boy, put her hands on her hips and leaned forward to stare him down, brows furrowed as if she was making an effort to fathom the boy's petulance. Her upper lip pulled up a bit and bared some teeth, a visual growl that was almost begging for him to give her just one more reason to slap him. It was all she asked.

'Thea's half-brother, Drake King, who killed my parents years ago, is now, with a team of mutants, hunting us, another team of mutants,' Aixa signed, her smile fading. 'I really don't know if your team should face him, though. Drake can heal indefinitely, even from a head shot. This is a powers against powers thing. Kade has a plan to kill Drake, I think. we just have to hope it works.' Aixa gestured to the island forest. 'I'm much more interested in this right now, to be honest. I don't know what this place is, or why we're here. I can't see that far in the future yet.'

Shilo looked over her shoulder again when Kade spoke, but hesitated. She really shouldn't be talking to strangers, adults especially, but this one fell and it didn't seem like she could talk. When the little girl looked back toward Three, however, she found that the older female was making her way toward Kade. "Don't!" She wasn't sure what Three was going to do, but whatever it was, Shilo wasn't okay with it. The five year old hurried over and stepped between Kade and Three, putting her own hands on her hips. The cute and innocent look that she normally had was gone as she looked up, meeting the other's eyes. Despite still having a rather comfortable home life, she had seen her father angry enough to be able to match the glare almost perfectly. It aged Shilo by a bit, her teal eyes turning to stones. "You touch him, and I'll scream, and that man has a gun and he's already shot someone because they threatened to hurt kids." At least, that's what she suspected to have had happened. She had left before it all went down. "So, if you're smart, you'd just let him run his mouth. It's not like his words hurt you. And if your feelings are hurt by what a kid has to say, then you're sensitive and should grow up." The girl flinched when she heard Xander yell and looked up. Before the man could ask what was going on, she was already explaining. "This lady appeared and she tripped, and then the boy called me an idiot and told me to keep up and stop talking to her because adults are stupid, and now she's mad because she's an adult but she's a baby."[/div][/div]

KADE and AIXA

Kade whirled around, perfectly happy to stay behind Shilo. He was already infinitely more on edge; he'd let Three move on him while his back was turned... "Yeah!" He snapped. "She's a baby! And she won't even say real words!" Kade snapped, looking pointedly at Aixa as if her muteness had been contagious. "I'm tired of all these fucking adults!"
Aixa took a deep breath, trying to remind herself that Kade was five. The pitch of his voice was different, but the childish insults, the fighting... it was exactly the same. She rolled her eyes, and then looked at Three, tilting her head. She hadn't seen much of Three in her visions. Had Three been unimportant? Or did Aixa just not interact with her much? If she was mute... well, Aixa didn't speak in vague hand gestures. Her motions had a flow and a language to them.

Three

Things were getting out of control fast.

A lot of things happened in quick succession, and Three was clearly having issues dealing with all of them simultaneously; she had a silent gasp at the little girl, surprised at her maturity and level-headedness. The bounty hunter was leaning on following her advice when Kade's words hit her right where it hurt; she took another step, now gritting her teeth visibly and with her hands hovering a over her crossbow while she wondered if this "gun" she spoke of was strong enough to beat her magic.
Thankfully for the sake of - well, probably herself to be honest - Three stopped dead on her tracks and backed down. It seemed that she had drawn the attention of others to her, a handsome young man and a lass, with the girl's gaze dragging itself on the man a bit longer. From that on, her movements and posture grew anxious and defensive, looking like she could run at any second.
When asked about her name, Three looked at him, pointed at herself and raised 3 fingers as an answer, the other hand hanging clenched at her side. She then pointed at the young man, awaiting for his reply. Why was she asking for a stranger's name? She couldn't tell, but she had a feeling that she wouldn't like the answer anyways.

Shilo's gaze turned on everyone else as they spoke, though landed on Aixa when Kade gave her his accusatory stare. "I-I don't care if she can't talk," the little girl murmured, her levelheadedness and more mature demeanor melting away as she tried to make sure that the pretty lady didn't get mad at her. More than that, she wanted to show how mature she was by not caring about stupid things like not being able to talk. The little girl's face flushed a little as she realized she was looking at Aixa for a little bit too long and she switched her attention to her shoes. [/div][/div]

KADE

Kade mumbled stuff under his breath and looked down, kicking dead plant matter at his feet. He felt like he'd been reprimanded, and he didn't like it. It wasn't one of those stupid reprimands that meant nothing, too. He minded if Three couldn't talk, but that was the same reason he minded Aixa couldn't talk; they couldn't slip up and tell him what they were really thinking. The older you got, the better you got at hiding things... and the worse the slipups were. And that was why, though he hated everyone here, he hated Shilo the least. "I just want to get to water, and she's slowing us down," he mumbled.

AIXA

Aixa stepped a little closer to Three. 'Can you understand sign?' She signed, honestly not hoping for much here. Three hadn't used sign up to this point, after all. If Three couldn't sign, it was going to be even more impossible to communicate with her than it already was with everyone else; at least she could hear and understand speech... but she wouldn't be able to understand Three.

Three

After that initial scare, the situation seemed to be on its way to stabilizing. Three's expression went back into a neutral, attentive one as she focused on the young man known as Xander, eventually holding her chin and staring down as she took his words in, her blue eyes shifting quickly from left to right in quick, cutthroat self-reasoning. Eventually, the offer to join the group was made. She seemed to twitch in repulsion when the clear implicit mention for the brat was made. Yet, after a quick hesitation, the answer was a decided nod of agreement. Taking in Xander's demeanor and loadout a little better, Three began to nurture a suspicion he could be a bountry hunter as well; those were the ones she was the most inclined to trust, since their intentions usually aligned with money and that made them predictable, as well as surprisingly fair. Whether that was true or not, it was a solid enough theory at the moment for her to stay.
When Three overheard Kade, her attitude had shifted a little; instead of going after him directly, she shifted her feet eagerly, indicating her readyness to move, then glanced at him again to judge his reaction. She was interrupted soon after, however, by the sight of the last girl as she approached her. This one was a tough nut to crack, with an appearance and aura the likes of which the bounty hunter had never seen before; not only that, but she suddenly began performing complex hand movements at her general direction. Was it some exotic form of Heartspeak? Three leaned back, arm readied between herself and the stranger and eyes widened in panicked worry. But nothing followed. No glow, no magic, not even a sound. Three's brows dug into her eyes with the uncertain disapproval a Neanderthal would have staring at a car's working engine. Eventually, the newcomer turned herself towards the direction the group seemed to be heading, watching the mysterious girl over her shoulder the whole while.

"We're not dying of dee-high-dray-shun," Shilo slowed the word down, saying each syllable carefully as she sounded it out. It was one of those words that she always said wrong, and so had to work on saying it slower until she got it down. "We can be slowed down a little bit." she pointed out. She didn't mind getting slowed down if it meant getting another good adult on their side. Though, the jury was still out on Xander, the little girl had all the faith in the world that the beautiful lady was a good adult. The five year old couldn't help but give her another look, teal eyes trailing over her features and seeing how they all connected into making someone so beautiful.[/div][/div]

AIXA

Yeah... Aixa would prefer that Nara not be there, but Xander's Nara was likely different. She hadn't hurt her like Aixa's Nara had. Aixa kept walking towards the water, catching a glimpse of Shilo looking at her. She'd been so preoccupied with comparing young Shilo and Kade to their current versions that she hadn't quite realized what the current one was doing, and she blushed and looked to Xander. Shilo?! *Shilo?!* 'There should be a waterfall ahead,' she signed to Xander.

Three

The explanation Three received for the girl's curious hand movements left her even move baffled. She cringed slightly, then shifted her gaze from Xander to her own hands, naively pinching her thumb and fingers together - akin to a sock puppet - a few times and half-expecting it to produce a sound out of thin air. She gave Aixa a wondering gaze. Once they'd set up camp, she'd definitely try and reach out to find out more. It was around that time that the young man instructed the group to press on forward, to which she followed without hesitation. It definitely felt good to be on the move again. The man also offered her some new, rather cryptic instructions, to which she had little to answer with but with a short, nonchalant nod. Her blank expression following it didnt exactly scream 'retention', either.
As the group pressed on through the afternoon, Three's focus shifted out of the others for a moment and returned to the exotic enviroment surrounding them; having never seen such a dense, humid forest herself, the young bounty hunter had to employ quite a lot more care than the usual to avoid tripping over all the vines and bushes along the way. That vivid green all around felt alien, even, when compared to the bland green of the plains she had grown accustomed with. As Three heard the sounds of flowing water creeping up ahead, her face lightened up some, but there was still something definitely in her mind: the glaring visual disparity she had just noticed, alongside all these new and unusual names, faces, explanations and warnings, were ever so slowly contributing towards making her comprehend a reality that in hindsight should have seemed clear as day:
Three was a long, long way from home.

This... being could speak?!
Victoria wasn't quite sure how to react. This... being, whatever it was... it could speak.
Which was enough to throw the robot for a loop. Victoria swiftly ordered the Drone to maintain a safe distance and fly off a bit, back towards itself.
The Droid received the same orders, and within seconds both combat robots were backing off, away from this odd lifeform.
As for itself...
Victoria turned to face Grace and Dani, Tankbot cautiously hovering around.
A single word issued from the mainframe.
"Greetings."
The tankbot was hovering in front of Victoria. If Grace or Dani tried anything, the Tankbot would block it all.

"Where... the bloody hell... am I."
On one shore, a figure rose to his feet.
Max Wellington, XCOM commander, dusted himself off.
"What is this, some ADVENT trick? Ugh, gotta find a way back, and fast."
Max's heart sank as he realized where he was. An island, and no supplies on him except for an assault rifle, a grenade, and a knife.
Yeah, this wasn't looking promising. But Max had seen worse odds.
He would survive.
Max set off towards the forest ahead, wondering what lied ahead.

Three

Following the noise of flowing water, Three ended up reaching the waterfall. She took a few seconds to take in the crystal clear flow of water down the hill, then went over to the river's margins, crouched in front of it and scooped up a bit of water to drink. Things felt awfully quiet, however, when it came to human sounds. The girl turned around and felt her heart drop as she realized her group was nowhere to be seen. Had she gone ahead of them? Had they got lost, attacked? Has she gotten lost? There was no way of knowing for sure. She opened her mouth, then bit her lip intentively.
Three was definitely not one to wait, so she went at once back to try and find them, hands hovering over her crossbow and eyes zipping left and right for any signs of life as she ran through the forest. Eventually, she did find a man with a beret, calmly making his way ahead. The girl dug her feet into the earth to slide to a stop and pointed her crossbow directly at the stranger, giving way to a bit of a standoff a few feet apart from each other. Her eyes quickly glanced around, then looked him up from top to bottom, trying to make up any recognizable gear or symbol. Her gaze stopped at the symbol of his berret, furrowing her brows and squinting her eyes in mild confusion. Her stance and the grip on her crossbow both softened a bit, but she didn't lower the weapon yet, waiting to see the man's answer.

Ingram was falling through the sky. He was falling intensely. He wasn't going to die but he surely was going to hit the ground hard, bounce back up, and keep bouncing until he rolled into somewhere else. He hated that. Unless someone picked him up he'd have to roll around until someone else finds him. How he ended up in the air he didn't quite know. Right now he just needed to find a way to stay in one place. His teleportation didn't cool down fast enough to keep him steady. His glowing didn't help in any way. The only possibility? Someone would be there at the ground.
"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"
Ingram's scream was cut short as he landed in front of a random blonde girl. Thankfully he landed on a relatively flat surface, which meant the bounce didn't send him so far. Except he didn't bounce. He felt himself go flat.
fffffffffffffpshhhhhhhhhhhh-
There was a pointy rock on the flat ground. It decided to stab him with the momentum he gathered. Luckily, there was a countermeasure for that. After a second, Ingram sprung back to life, the hull breach perfectly repaired. Back in tip top condition.
"Hah! Immortality! Indestructible! Rubber ball power!"
He yelled into the air. Then he 'turned' to the blonde girl in front of him(metaphorically because he can't really turn around).
"Greetings fellow human! How do you do? I used to travel around the world, figure out many things! Like that once when chocolates weren't tasty anymore! Toblerone! I want toblerone chocolate! Do you have some?"

Max was trudging along, noting the odd environment around him. Trees growing where they weren't supposed to. Max was no botanist, but he knew full well pine trees don't grow on sand.
This was one helluva island. The XCOM Commander knew for a fact that if he got out of here, he would have a story to tell the troops.
Max was mulling over his cruel fate when he was alerted to a crossbow ( CapRock CapRock ) being aimed right at him.
Mentally cursing, Max ran straight to cover behind a nearby tree, preparing for a bolt to whiz past his head.
Except that crossbow bolt didn't appear when Max managed to turn back around to see this... entity, fall from the sky and onto the ground. The XCOM commander's assault rifle was out and aimed at the entity that just fell from the sky. ( RandomBlobMan RandomBlobMan )
Upon hearing the entity's words, Max Wellington only had three words he could possibly spare for this odd situation.
"What... the hell?"

Three

As the soldier Three found ran for cover, the girl's finger touched the trigger and her aim followed towards the tree as she prepared to fire the first shot. However, there was an hesitation. A shrieking sound, coming from above. There wasn't even enough time to react before the UFO (Unidentified Falling Object) came down crashing and, well, leaking air all over the place and causing the young Blonde to fall over her back in surprise. As if that wasn't enough, while Three tried getting up, the mysterious object filled itself back up, then began speaking, talking over his story and asking for chocolate as if they were close friends. As Max had best put himself, it was one hell of a situation.
Three did hold out her crossbow towards the terrifying rubber ball again, the weapon visibly shaking as she held it out vaguely on its direction. In her eyes and open mouth, visible confusion and frustration were the most prevalent. She glanced over at Max, trying to gauge his reaction: his words only seemed to heighten her anxiety as her pupuls shrunk at the utter hopelessness of the situation. The pent up rage had reached its peak, and her aim and sight grew true and her confusion was taken over by a decided scowl. There was a rather sturdy tree right behind the ball; she figured pushing the thing into it would put its immortality to the test. And thus, her finger finally pressed the trigger.
Anyone who expected simple ammo to be fired off from Three's unique weapon, however, would be in for quite the surprise: instead, a red energy like smoke build up in her arm, then into the weapon as it unleashed a bolt of red energy, recoiling a bit and letting out a bit of smoke from the heated shot. The projectile itself made a beeline for its rubber target, leaving behind a wooshing sound on its trail; at this point, impact was all but iminent.

As a magical arrow shot him into a tree, Ingram let out an earsplitting scream.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-HAHAHAHAHAH! I AM INDESTRUCTIBLE!"
The ball inflated back as its regeneration made it bounce off the arrow and back to the ground. He bounced up and down on the spot a few times until he stopped and lolled around. Obviously, this silent stranger was not the type for conversation. That was bad, all he did was talk. Or was it good? Since he could talk all the time? What a wonder, there was only one way to find out. Using his supreme magic, Ingram teleported back in front of the girl again, falling down to the ground while passing right in front of her face.
"YOU CANNOT RID OF THE GRAND MAGE INGRAM! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"
He laughed out in victory.

"...yeah, the troops are going to have a field day listening to me."
Max pinched himself to see if he wasn't dreaming. And to the commander's dismay, he wasn't.
Max figured that the best way to handle this was to just go away. The commander needed a minute to himself. Energy bolts and an invincible but evidently immortal wizard. Just...
This didn't mirror reality at all. Max, hoping to evade undetected, slowly sidled away from the odd duo, praying that he was not spotted. If he was...
Well, he was kind of screwed. Max wasn't wearing the most advanced arrow around, and a shot from that crossbow-or a spell-could prove lethal.
