Brooke "Lucky" Weisz

Brooke did not understand anything that the vice-headmistress had said. Nada. Zilch. Especially about the wars that had weighed a big impact on the earth. Three Gods? What was that? World War II? Or was it the first? He wasn't sure what the woman was talking about, he was hardly serious about school. Let alone, history. He suddenly felt a bit dejected, if it weren't for his luck, does he even have any redeeming qualities? Other than his cute face and caring personality. People shifted as they were asked to line up, something that made him end up somewhere. He took a peek at who was in front of him. A few heads ahead was a Filipina who conjured a small flame in her palm, he immediately thought that what she had was amazing. Nobody can just conjure fire, but then again everybody in this island has some sort of power no matter how bizarre or how common it seemed.

Brooke wasn't gonna lie, he was the third next person in line to get asked if he was gonna put those goop and it stunk. That's how bad it smelled. He was presented with it, and it was so awful that he felt just a little smell made him feel a lump growing in his throat. He wasn't used to this kind of things, these kind of smell. "Uhhh." His stomach felt like it was swirling, putting a hand on his mouth to stop the liquid that wanted to escape. "Hrrgg."

The mere thought of touching it was too much for him, the smell of it and seeing it. No. No. It was coming. "Blaaaaaargh!!" He instantly grabbed the bag of goop and hurled vomit in it, immediately disgusting the people around him. Realizing what he had just did, he covered his mouth once again. The contents made its way through the cracks of his hands, leaving stains on his clothes and shoes leaving behind odor not wanted. He felt weak. But the eyes of people staring at him with shock was something he wasn't used to. He wasn't used to this, why did he even think that the place is nice? He clearly isn't cut out for this. Why couldn't he just be born normal and live a normal life? He quickly ran away, unintentionally making his way towards the labyrinth. Not bothering to look back, he just wanted to escape those unfamiliar stares.

Kore
Her smile had its work cut out for it, what with this one's drunken attitude. Maybe she didn't choose right... could this dude really not hold his liquor? Or how much had he had to drink? He demanded of her that they get going after pouring alcohol on himself and she couldn't help but sigh. Another girl walked up and commented on her choice of teammate. This was all happening rather fast, wasn't it?

She blushed and nodded a little, "Ah... uh... my name is Kore. Nice to meet you, Cassie. And... erm... Vincent, I'm not planning on getting any of that goop on me." Especially not after that other kid threw up in it. Ew. Not worth it, even if she did fail.

"Vincent," she repeated, looking up at him again as she began walking towards the labyrinth, "Try to sober up. If you can make yourself focus for this and pretend that you can hold your liquor, then I'll repay you by growing a varietal of grapes for you. And, erm... Cassie, I'm happy to have more teammates in this little impromptu group."

Kore looked at both of them now, pausing a little as she brushed her hand against one of the first walls she could, "Okay. Let's take this seriously. Do either of you have a lighter or some way to start a fire?" Vines coated in leaves started to clamber their way around her arm like a snake, making their way down the wall as though they were her pet. Her face was serious and somewhat annoyed, though even still, she found it hard to look either of them in the eyes. She bound them up into a ball of mostly leaves and looked at the two of them expectantly. Mister delinquent here probably would be the one to have a lighter, but then, she didn't know anything about this other girl.

"To explain, I want to make filter material first and foremost. The hydra's breath is poisonous. In this case, as she said, it'll knock us out. To avoid that in a pinch, I'd like to make us some carbon face masks. Burn plants, you get carbon. It's really one of the best filter materials... for gas or liquid, actually. It's why they use it in Brita filters and stuff."

Moss

To steal something from it’s hoard… simple enough. She could just make a few sounds, maybe the sound of leaves where she wasn’t, close it off with an illusory hedge, snatch something, and be gone. Moss had no interest in the fire gem, fire didn’t mix well with wood. Just take the minimum of what was required and be gone. Perhaps use the rest of her time to toy with the other students. It had been over a day since Moss had been dropped off here, and she was longing for some kind of familiarity. So she remained aloof, reveling in her speculations, watching the people in line, watch one vomit at the smell of something and flee. Moss was glad she was not downwind of the stuff they were handing out.

At the smoker girl's cheeky words Mikoto burst into laughter. He couldn't help it, her response was just too...interesting. Sure, lots of people disliked him. But to have someone go off on such a blatant list of assumptions right to his face, it was just so strange and unexpected.

Catching himself he was able to quiet his giggles long enough to throw back a reply. "Aw, so you think I'm a 'Straight A' student? That's so nice of you, thanks." He met her smirk with one of his own, proudly holding out for two whole seconds before the laughter started up again. Most of the time people's attempts to rile him did little. Well...that is, as long as they left his height out of it. But he wasn't going to think about the angle at which he had to turn his head upwards to speak to this girl.

"Yeah, yeah," he finally managed to get out. "I'm the 'rule stickler.' Just here to try and prevent people from making stupid mistakes." But by the time he had finished she had already turned around and left. Well. That made three women to ditch him in the past 10 minutes alone. Wait, did he really want to be keeping tabs on that?

When I'm dragging you to the Disciplinary Office you won't be able to walk away. He thought with the tinge of salt.

So much for losing his place. But he didn't really feel like immediately following the girl back into line, anyway. He could see from his aunt Reiko's actions that its sole point was to gets students to have some strange concoction applied to them. The smell of it caused Mikoto's nose to wrinkle. Whatever it was carried a terrible stench...but it was also...somehow familiar. But yeah. No. He'd much rather have the Hydra swallow him than feel disgusted by his own body. As one might expect from the prefect student, he was one to keep himself in immaculate order. Ironed shirts, styled hair, and cold showers every night of the week. Besides, rather than spend his evening in the bathroom scrubbing his skin raw he could better use that time studying. And why not spice up an otherwise boring mission by adding a little 'danger'?

So it's less of a chase and more of a treasure hunt, huh?

His aunt dangled the challenge of the ruby before him, turning his eyes crimson with possibilities and thirst. He could care less about its worth or powers (though it might make a nice New Years gift to send home to his mom), but to obtain it... that would mean everything. His expression hardened as he continued to consider it. Without the ruby this task was an easy one. But with it there...shimmering tantalizingly from the Hydra's neck, came an extremely high probability of failure. And what kind of message would that send? One a million times worse than not taking the risk and finding success at the easier task. And this was "Hero" class... perhaps that was the whole point. Not to get too greedy. But if he could pull it off...

Though he had voiced it to no one (having, admittedly, no one to voice it to), it was Mikoto's goal to follow in Reiko's footsteps to becoming the Academy's top student by the end of the year. Competition was stiff...when it came to intelligence he was the son of a tempestuous sea god, after all, and when you have kids blessed by the likes of Athena and Thoth no amount of studying feels like enough to keep up. Not to mention athletics. Despite his training, despite his agility and wit and speed, he just didn't have the brawn or bloodlust of the many war and conflict demigods. Yeah...what exactly had his father given him, anyways? Anger management issues, rain clouds, and the ability to squirt people. Yeah...all super helpful stuff. There was more than one reason he almost refused to rely on his powers when it came to getting ahead.

But the crux of the matter was that if he obtained the ruby here and now it would become a symbol. Like sticking down a flag in territory previously thought claimed. "Im here to be this Academy's top student. Just try and stop me." Everyone would be forced to pay attention then. Not just the teacher pet with the stick up his ass... he would become someone capable. Someone honorable. Someone worthy to feel proud of...

A wretched but all-too-familiar sound broke him from his thoughts, drawing his (along with many others') gaze to a lanky student with his head in the putrid bag. Mikoto sighed, realizing that it was an inevitable result of slopping a foul-scented poultice all over vulnerable teens. And they hadn't even gotten into the labyrinth yet, where the stench of the Hydra and all these lathered up kids running around would be one hundred times worse. And the scented handkerchief he kept just for these occasions...? Right. He had left it in the pocket of his jacket, the very same that was now with Thorn. Just...great.

Strangely enough, instead of reacting how one might normally, the kid who was obviously in need of medical attention decided, as if in a daze, to drop the bag and turn running towards the maze. What? Was he an idiot? Things were only going to get worse from there. If he was already sick...

Mikoto rubbed the brow of his nose, his brain telling him over and over that it wasn't his problem, that he shouldn't get involved.

But screw it.

"Hey, kid! Wait up!"

Throwing caution to the wind he ran after the boy into the dark.

"If you're sick you shouldn't participate in this activity. Here, let me take you to the nurse's office."

It was only too late that he realized they were a fair ways from the entrance so...getting out might not be as easy as getting in. And in his rush to catch up he hadn't been paying attention, which was mistake #1 for getting through a maze.

Just one of those days.

Moss

As she contemplated just what she would do, Moss watched someone else run into the Labyrinth after the first student. In the Labyrinth, alone, before they were meant to be… the temptation was too much. In the blink of an eye, Moss was entirely invisible—followed the two. An inhumanly fast dash toward the maze brought Moss eye to eye with the second student. She maintained the invisibility glamour, and waited for him to turn a corner before dropping it. A flourish of her arms warped the light around her, and an illusion of a hedge—uniform with the rest of the Labyrinth, made the exit disappear. A grin slowly cut across Moss’s face. Oh, how she missed this! Another charm of invisibility and she was off again, following the second student.
People running through a twisting place they weren’t supposed to be? Perfect.

Friday
1551458873162.jpeg
Friday was a couple paces behind Sir Lucky when he unceremoniously barfed in the foul-smelling horrid bag and she decided right then and there that she definitely wasn't going to have Brookes insides smeared all over herself; so she skipped the bloody line and just went straight into the labyrinth; watching as the rule-stickler ran after Sir Lucky, saying about being sick and shit, and elf-girl followed soon after, turning invisible. She followed Elf Girl or rather followed her outline. Scarcely visible as it was. She smirked, Elf-Girl probably thought she was completely invisible, and that amused her to no end. She watched her drop her illusion for a moment, unaware that she was watching, as the man turned the corner before a hedge suddenly appeared, sealing it off. Only it was clearly a hedge while the rest were stone walls; not exactly a good way to seal someone off, considering that it was far too obvious.

She had been tracing the edge of the labyrinth with her finger, careful not to get lost. Labyrinths were tricky and it was easy to get lost in them. Fortunately for her, this labyrinth had an open skyline. Big mistake on their part, she thought, smirking. Labyrinths were only effective if your participants stay earthbound. Not that she cared about the activity to put in any real effort, and her conjuring up her wings took a lot out of her. They want to put her in a labyrinth, fine. She looked down and saw other students filing through the entrance several feet behind her.

The kids branched out, already having formed their impromptu groups, and went off in several directions in the maze. It reminded Friday that she also needed a group, or else the maze could make her go temporarily mad. But her entourage of delinquents had split up much to her discomfort, and outside of Brooke, who had just ran into the maze like a lunatic with that small Asian boy trailing after him, she could see no one she was familiar with. She was alone.

Just as she always has been. Just she always will be.

No need to dwell on it Friday, she thought, just focus on the task at hand.

And just like that, her wings emerged from her back as the sheer amount of energy needed for their manifestation caused her to gasp for air as this languidness crashed over her like a wave. The wings themselves were majestic, and black. It was impossible to tell if it was leather wings or bird wings from a distance. And they were completely ethereal, only creating the illusion that they were physically present, nevertheless they got the job done. Friday closed her eyes for a bit, waited for the languidness to pass, then jumped, flapped her wings once, and took off.

The walls of stone towered over her as she walked into the maze, large, imposing and insurmountable. Misty gulped as she glanced over at them, already her highly imaginative mind was on overdrive, conjuring up the dreaded twelve heads of the hydra looping over the walls and gunning for her. The headmistresses had said that monsters had a scent for demigod blood and she was, apparently, a demigoddess. Though, even now she wasn't entirely sure this even was real. This could just be a massive hallucination conjured up by her insane mind and she could actually be a straightjacket right now. That thought gave her some small comfort, it helped align her reality. For none of this could be real. It shouldn’t be real. Gods and Goddesses? Monsters and Hydras? Being a demigoddess? Nonsense! Complete and utter nonsense! She couldn’t even accept the idea of there being one God, and now she had to accept the idea that there were several!? Yet her senses weren't denying her, she was actually here, in the labyrinth surrounded by others of her "kind" because she wasn't human. That's what she gathered. She wasn't human. She was something else, something inhuman. Her world had come crashing down around her when the so-called "messenger" had come forward, clad in exactly what she visualized Hermes would be. Her shock when she found out that he was actually Hermes shook her to her core, and that was when her world was destroyed. The gods have destroyed her world, or at least, her perception of the world and dragged her here and now she was walking through the labyrinth . She had avoided smearing that repulsive stuff on herself when that boy had actually vomited into it, vomited into it as if it were a bucket, and now she felt exposed.

They were supposed to get a coin from a hoard of treasure and they had to do it without getting detected!? What? That was impossible. She wasn't a warrior. She didn't have any powers at all. And she highly doubted beauty counted as a power. Hell, she wasn't even that beautiful. Pretty maybe. But gorgeous? No.

Focus Misty focus! Now isn't the bloody time to fucking worry about your bloody looks! If only she was as brave as the voice in her head, it would do wonders. She looked around, and saw several students branching out into the maze. No one noticed her nor even glanced over at her just standing there. She was even in the back of the class where the fight broke out, and still no one had noticed her. And she was supposedly the daughter of Aphrodite herself. Funny isn't it, how no one notices you when you don't want to be noticed, but people do notice you when you do want to be noticed? Like that time in prom!

She found herself walking further into the maze, away from the safety of the entrance when she inevitably came across a fork in the road. Two paths branching left and right. The common decision one would make in a maze. After a moment of deliberation, Misty decided to just follow a the first group of students that came across this fork in the road.

After all, being alone in a maze is the worst mistake you can possibly make

Chloe Thanes
F8ojTwl.png

Looking around she could spot a one or maybe two of the faces that she had seen at the assembly, but none of the faces that she had actually interacted with. She sighed. In her amazement she had lost sight of the only person that actually had held a conversation with her, and now she couldn't find him to apologize for walking off without a word.
She'd have to worry about that later, they were all lining up to get the contents of that bag smeared over them.

She didn't see it happen, but one of the people farther up front had managed to get sick from the scent of that bag and as a result spilled the contents of his stomach into the exact same bag that had caused the stirring of the stomach to begin with.
Once the word of what had happened reached Chloe's ears she stood frozen. What was she going to do? She wanted to do the assignment right, to use the contents of that bag as was instructed. (Even if she had her doubts how useful it would truly be) But on the other hand, vomit wasn't something you should spread over your skin, especially not someone else's.

To that extent, now the foul smell of - she didn't actually know what it was - had gotten mixed with something of human origin. That would surely tip the Hydra off, right? She sighed. On her own with just the powers she had she wasn't sure if she'd be able to make it. With or without the muck. But her chances certainly dwindled severely without the masking.
Chloe didn't have the power to conjure up any kind of plant she wanted, only grow what was around, so even if she wanted, she couldn't make anything useful as a substitute.

She glanced around again. Some were forming groups. That was smart. She should join a group... but at the same time... Just randomly approaching someone like that was scary, way scary. If anything she definitely didn't want to drag a group down and annoy them.

So alone it was. Chloe sighed. Here went nothing. As more students were gathering at the labyrinth Chloe too walked over to the great big Greco-Roman building. It reminded her a bit of the ancient temples, only then not deteriorated.
If anything it was actually really pretty, and she would have stopped to take it in, if it hadn't been for the looming danger of the hydra at any possible corner.

Taking a big gulp of air Chloe stepped past the threshold, her heart beating like mad in her chest, the vines on her arms slithering down every few feet to latch themselves onto the ground, roots digging deep into the marble floors. Chloe wasn't adept at finding her way in a maze, so she'd make sure to plant a 'rope' to lead her way out. Assuming all went to plan of course. Plus it helped the vine to stay strong even if it was cut.

Misty watched two groups of people decide to take the left path, but neglected to join them in whatever endeavors they had planned; turns out she was waiting for the right person to arrive, though she didn't know why or how she was supposed to know who this person was. She watched more people take the paths, they didn't even acknowlege her just standing there, watching in that creepy way of hers. It was then, after what felt like minutes of waiting that her eyes trained on someone. A young girl (Chole) trailing a vine behind her. She looked like she knew what she was doing at least. Trying to keep a smile on her face, she walked toward the girl. Only to freeze in her tracks, not knowing what to say. She stared at the girl for what seemed like minutes before finally saying ...."So um, hello. You --- you seem to know what you are doing? Want to team up?" As she sat there, waiting for the girl to answer. She began to wonder how useless she, herself, was going to be.

Iki
WOW this was fun! Big scary sun goddess lady, flash of light, a friggen hydra (whose name is apparently Old Bessie?), and then another light which wasn't as bright and... now this. A battleground of sorts. Exactly where she loved to be. It almost made up for the fact that she had been taken from her home so unceremoniously. Almost. She was looking forward to having a word with her Dad about this mess. He couldn't have just picked her up instead? Geez.

Find the treasure, navigate the labyrinth, avoid the hydra.

Got it.

Could she punch the hydra though? Like... that sounded like way more fun. That breath would be a problem, but she really wanted that necklace. It didn't really matter if she failed, after all. This was so impromptu and random that they were probably just using it to get a feel for everyone.

Some people were grouping up, getting all buddy-buddy with each other. She probably wanted a friend or two for this whole thing. She hadn't seen her Father at all yet. She didn't know anybody here either. She certainly wasn't gonna get smeared all over with the barf bag. This whole thing was trying super hard to be a stressful mess...

Sooooo... yeah. But who would she be teaming up with? As she scanned the crowd, a few people stood out to her. There was some drunken super buff dude. If he wasn't so clearly drunk and off his rocker, that'd be a good option... There were a number of strange people who had already gone in, including a short-stack who ran after the one who made the shit-bag a barf-bag. There were, however, a number of people left.

Iki sighed, dwelling over the craziness of the day in general. There wasn't much choice, or at least, there wasn't much she could choose while being informed. She wasn't informed about much of anything right now. But hey, that was high school, right?

She walked up to the entrance of the labyrinth and leaned against the wall for a moment, scanning the crowd once again before meandering into the maze itself. Maybe she'd meet someone along the way.

((Open for interaction. Edited.))

Reiko Watched as everyone entered, Noticing that people were thinking outside the box, she smiled. Heracles patted her shoulder and smirked. "Heracles they maybe what the prophecy spoke. It's not often that we get people think outside the box." Reiko spoke quickly Heracles looks over at a Tablet Reiko had that showed her the positions of all the students, and the Hydra. His voice was soft as he responded to her.

"The Last Prophecy was with my Half Sister Amelia Earhart. We All know that the Dragon's Triangle is a bad idea to send Demigods to...Just like when your group went to stop Typhon At the Bermuda Triangle 2 years ago ...And That wasn't even prophesied...." He had a long and deep scowl on his face and Reiko sighed and Responded with a huff at Heracles. "But. Haven't you noticed that each one match the description for the Prophecy of the NIbelung? That can't be a coincidence." She spoke swiftly and Herc placed a hand on his chin then patted her shoulder once more. "You gonna get Gray hairs if you worry to hard.", Reiko rolled her eyes and they stared at each other for a brief moment.

Heracles "Reiko. While the Students are going through the Labyrinth wanna see if you can still beat me?"

Reiko "Pfft The Only way I won last time is by manipulating probability. And even that took all my effort."

Heracles tossed a sword to her causally the Blade a regular straight sword. Reiko caught it and smirked. "You really want to see who will beat the 1000 arrow shot first? We shouldn't play around Herc. Otherwise we are gonna get in trouble. We already know how much of a Tyrant Amaterasu can be when cranky." Herc laughed and passively looked at the tablet seeing all the progress the Students are making.

"Though I am surprised no one has encountered the other monsters in there...." Herc gripped his own arm, and Reiko's eyes widen.
"HERC I HOPE YOU DIDN'T-" Reiko started and then suddenly looked back at the tablet seeing many small little dots. "COCKATRICE?! HERC!!! DAMN IT! Those are more dangerous than the Hydra currently!"

Cockatrice are small chicken fowl that have a snake head for a tail. They have the ability to cause petrification within the skin of the enemies that are around just by using their feathers. The Feathers are cursed with a dark magic that will forcefully petrify something from inside out, and turning into stone is not the safest thing for anyone that is around . Without proper care one misstep may cause someone to become solid stone. Reiko bites her lip hoping none of the students came face to face with one.

Thoth
Not one to hide his name nor appearance, Thoth was treating this job as simply as any other - as himself. He knew no other, after all, and he had not a hint of guilt about it. The other teacher gods and goddesses seemed to be spread throughout, not all of them watching Amaterasu's display. Not that he was watching it either. A waste of time. Something that they never should have started with... and now this? Not even a hint of time to get used to their surroundings? Were these Japanese deities taking too much influence from their country's anime?

Ridiculous.

All the same, there was little he could or would do about it. He wasn't the one in charge of this little dance, and nor did he wish to be. He was stationed in his library, the place he loved the most on this godforsaken island. Having to deal with other pantheons' deities nearly made him wish he hadn't taken the job... but this was for the kids, not for the self-important, powerful children that the others wished to call gods and goddesses. Just looking at the history of the Greek pantheon made him sick. A mess of ruined relationships and lives.

His job was important and he actually did it right without taking pleasure in sleeping around at every possible opportunity.

He sighed, looking out at the thousands of books within line of sight. Perhaps he could at least go see what they were all up to. His ibis was out and about, doing whatever it felt like at the moment, but that wasn't good enough. He felt it was appropriate to actually show his face.

With that, he stepped outside and took flight, a beat of his massive wings taking him high into the sky. He could see the vast labyrinth from here, a maze straight out of the Greek mythos, if he was not mistaken. Always with the dramatic flair when it came to the gods... such a task for the newbies. It was unfair, but it certainly would sift out the extremely talented or clever ones. (He was one for the second category.)

He made his way over and dropped from the sky as fast as a dropping boulder, only to land beside the rather concerned-looking Reiko. He hadn't heard what they were chatting about while he was so high in the air, but he raised his brow, "Do I want to know whatever has you looking so concerned, Miss Reiko? Or should I not even ask for fear of the answer?"

Reiko looked at Thoth and sighed showing him the Tablet. "a certain KNUCKLEHEAD didn't Want to put up the Cockatrice that are now in Labyrinth. If someone gets hit by one of their feathers they will turn into stone. Do you have the petrification reversal spell? We need to retrieve anyone who gets turned into Stone. If we let them even have the slightest crack it could kill anyone of them and or cause massive damage." the tablet showed every Cockatrice that was released. There was bout 23 all together. Reiko but her lower lip hard turning from a beautiful pink to a pale white.

Heracles folds his arms. "You can always let Bessie Eat them I am SURE they taste like Chicken to her." He spoke with a more lower voice as he nodded to Thoth.

friday

original.gif
The maze so far was utterly boring. So jading that Friday found herself wishing she wasn't capable of flight, it just wasn't as .... fun when one could just fly out. And besides flying was tiring. After a while of looking upon a endless mass that even she grew disorintated after a while, Friday finally flew to the one of the maze walls and sat on, took out a cigarrate and light one up as she looked down at the numerous groups below. More stupid impomptu groups and yet no Hydra. Not she wanted the Hydra to come crawling around, or maybe she did. It would be very amusing watching these people shit their pants. But if her knowlege of mazes was correct, these teachers probably had other tricks up their sleeves. Maybe more than one monster? She didn't know.

She was looking down at the groups of people fanning out when she noticed (or rather picked out) a couple of people. A tough-looking japanese chick that was just meandering into the labyringth, and a shy looking girl using some sort of vine to guide her way through the maze. She smiled a bit as she blew out some smoke. She needed some teammates, and the japanese girl seemed more her type, than the little blonde . Making up her mind, she unfurled her wings and jumped off the wall, flying toward the japanese girl before landing right beside her. Not even bothering to furl her wings.

"You seem more my type than the rest of the bozos here, what do you say we team up?"

Thoth
"I suppose you're both probably far too callous to simply call off the event due to safety concerns? Or is it your relative, the headmistress, you're worried about?" He quipped, absolutely seething with contained anger at their incompetence. His hands clasped in front of himself politely as he sighed and breathed in to calm himself a bit, "Why- No. Past is the past. I will not dwell on why for now. You queried if I have magic that could free them from petrification? I'm certain I do, though that's not exactly the most common of complaints. The bigger issue is, certainly, the potential for breakage. They are new to this class and therefore these sorts of tribulations. Putting them through something almost as grand as one of Hercules's-erm, Heracles's challenges right at the very beginning is hardly fair. Do you want them to fail?"

"My answer," he paused, gently putting his hand on the tablet, pushing it back towards Reiko, "Is dependent upon your answer. How we should proceed depends on what your goal for this exercise is. If it is for them to face great challenges and ultimately fail, then, by all means, continue. If it is to test their abilities, failing likely though not guaranteed, then we should continue with caution. We should have a safety net in place. If it is simply for fun or humiliation or some attempt at a first class... I would recommend stopping, as it is a massive waste of their and your time."

"If the first, nothing needs to be done as you are accomplishing failure wonderfully," he paused again, looking over both of them with the irritation of a parent, "If the second, I think a suitable safety net would be some sort of teleportation protection. If they were to be removed from the labyrinth into the nurse's waiting room upon the time that they would have been incapacitated, then no one actually gets too hurt... or turned to stone. This is complicated, however, and I would need some time to set such a thing up... so we should have done so before the event. Regardless. This option would probably take me... about twenty minutes to set up, on average."

"Tell me your choice and I will assist you in cleaning up your mess."

Moss

Oh, now there were more students.

All the more people to trick!

Still using the glamour and remaining invisible, Moss stopped to listen. Another pulse of magic allowed her sense to reach beyond the ordinary range of earshot.

Chatter. Building teams.

Other monsters. A cockatrice? What was that? Apparently more dangerous than the hydra.

Still invisible, Moss approached one of the walls of the maze and held one hand up beside it. Slowly and near-silently the hedge began to part and she slipped through. The branches wove back among each other behind her. She repeated this, following the sound of other students’ voices until she came into a lane around the corner from one group. One of them wore wings.

With an illusion of sound, Moss created the low rustle of the movement of a serpent. If any of the group cared to listen closely, the sound would circle around them; the nonexistent would be snake gauging it’s prey. The caster of the illusion stayed hidden both with her glamour and behind the corner of the hedge, listening. As soon as she heard someone notice the sound, she would block their path with the image of another hedge, cornering them into a three-walled dead end.

Others’ fear was delicious.

Friday

As she waited for the damn person to respond to her question, Friday heard faintly a rustle of what sounded like a snake. She looked around, and saw only the stone walls surrounding them. Yet the sound clearly sounded like something rustling through hedges, not slithering through stone walls. Then she remembered the not-so-subtle hedge blockage from before and the elf-girl’s blatant use of invisibility. She smiled as she put two and two together. Almost as soon as she came across that conclusion, the rustling grew louder, surrounding them. Circling them, as if gauging their prey. Friday blatantly ignored it, lighting another cig and blowing out smoke. If her theory was correct, this rustling sound was clearly the work of an illusionist, one that is either incompetent, an amateur, or just foolhardy enough to mess around with other students - so the teachers were out of question. Not because they won’t mess with students but rather, their illusions would make sense. Rustling in an maze filled with stone walls didn’t make much sense, either did random blockages being so obvious unless —- unless the illusionist in question didn’t see the same maze as she did. Could it be? She looked around at the labyrinth, the walls seemed solid enough and she knew they were solid as she literally sat on one of them. But she didn’t quite understand the maze, could it be that people saw the maze differently? She would have never have figured it out if it weren’t for the blatant hedge blocking out exits in the middle of stone walls. That just didn’t make sense unless it was a student doing the hedges and they somehow thought they were surrounded by hedges instead of stone walls. That implies that it looks different to everyone. But was it based on the individual or based on something more important, like say what pantheon you are from? Fuck, this was so confusing.

She turned to the Japanese girl, and asked simply. “Question: What pantheon do you originate from?” She was clearly Asian and she assumed she was part of an Asian pantheon but after her last assumbations actually made the small Asian boy genuinely laugh at her, Friday was now more cautious with them. Besides the Gods and Goddesses were fickle and very amorous, she wouldn’t put it past them to have children of numerous races running around.

Iki
Teammates apparently rained from the sky here. She smirked at the sudden girl and nodded a bit. Teaming up. Sure... though she wasn't sure what this kid meant by her "type". Maybe it had to do with her smoking? Gross addiction... could demigoddesses even get cancer, though?

There were a number of sounds and rustling, and she at first looked around, concerned, but this other girl didn't have much of a response. Did she not hear it? Probably wasn't a worry then. She could ignore it... though, it was pretty weird.

"Greek," she explained, smiling a little as her eyes darted around to try to find the source of the noise, "My dad is Ares. My mom is from Japan. What about you?"

"Oh. Also, my name's Iki by the way, my mom named me since dad tried to name me Ares Jr. like a weirdo," she said, laughing a little and smiling at the thought. He was here at this school, right? It was useless to worry about it, but... what if he wasn't?

She sighed, looking around at the maze. It was stone to her as well, though it was speckled with a variety of plants. They were scattered along the ground and up the walls through the cracks. "We should probably have some sort of a plan, yeah? I'm tempted to go for the hydra directly, but I don't really want to get knocked out... I dunno. Usually, there's something at the center of mazes, yeah? Maybe we should try to get there and go from there?"

friday
Friday noted the look of contempt in the japanese girl's eyes, a look that she had grown used to ever since she had taken up smoking. I'm sorry, Iki. And apparently she was the daughter of Ares.

"Well, I guess that makes us cousins then," she said, smiling at her, "for I am also Greek. Your father and my mother might even know each other." Though she highly doubted that Ares even remembered her mother, she isn't exactly a known Greek figure and her only contribution was a slighted wedding and being an indirect cause of the Trojan War. Other than her connection with Ares, her uncle, and the birth of her numerous siblings. Eris didn't feature much in greek myths and legends. She was probably the most obscure goddess there was. Second only to Nerites, and no one knew who the fuck he was.

"Naturally, the center might hold something sufficuient, or it could it be that the Hydra is in the center of the maze. The goal is to get a coin right? And do it undetected? Hard to do that with a monster with twelve heads and nostrils, even those with invisibility still has a bloody scent." She said the last bit a little more loudly and pointedly.

The rustling was getting louder, but so far nothing popped out at them. Either the creature in question was the most patient motherfucker there was or the illusionist in question was waiting for some cue that they noticed, which meant only one thing, they had to be listening to them, yet not actually looking at them.

"But yes going to the center of the maze and going from there sounds like a good idea."

In truth, Friday didn't much care for the activity and would rather get knocked out, but that didn't she couldn't bloody try to get a coin. She just didn't care if she were caught.

"So what can you two do exactly?" She proceeded to ask, smirking a bit as she added the invisible elf-girl to the mix as if she knew she was there. "I already gauged one of ya. But what can you do Iki?"

Iki
"Cousins, huh? Wow. I guess I'm gonna have to be careful about who I choose to fuck later... Not that I meant you, ya know? I saw at least some cute people out there before heading in. But... we might be related to half these people, who knows...? Gross thought," she shook her head, "Well, I'm happy to have a cousin that's a chick. As happy as my mom would be for 'more boys in the family' and all that, I'm not. Japanese thing. Bleh."

She shrugged at her question, though she gave her a weird look about half a second later as she realized Friday had said "two".

"Uhh... ok then. The noise-maker, I'm guessing?" she mused, looking around again, "You still didn't say your name... but anyway, I can hit things really hard, basically. Super-strength. Super hard to hurt. Quick healer... uhhh... plus I guess I'm kinda good at getting my way? Basically, I'm just a mini-me of my dad. I don't really know how it can help unless we decide to go punch the hydra. Now. What can you do, miss 'I haven't said my name yet'? Also, good job noticing someone else around."

Iki smirked. She was genuinely pretty happy to have more family. The thought of how much family she might have was a little daunting... something she hadn't really considered... but still. This would be good.

friday
Friday took a moment to drag out a smoke. "Friday. Name's Friday. No surname. Just Friday. And I make bad things happen to people. Supposedly." Her mother wasn't very clear exactly how her power worked, then again she only spent a day "teaching" her."

She frowned at the impilication of superstrength and the "more boys in the family" nonsense.

"Superstrength is great but not exactly great for this activity. We can't just punch a hydra in the face and boys are, in essence, overrated. Don't get me wrong, they have their uses, being the stronger sex and all that jazz but outside of their strength, most of them are just pigheaded muscle-flexers. I would take a weak, but smart man than a secretly insincere douche who feels the need to flex his muscles everyday."

Which was why she was less than impressed with lion-boy and though she would never admit but rule-stricklers, while annoying, at least didn't need to just punch their problems away.

There was a fine line between manly men and pathetic men who just think they are manly.

One was after all, much hotter.

God, I feel like a feminist.

Moss

They did not react. One of them spoke as if she knew Moss was there. The other mentioned something about ‘good job knowing someone else was present.’

This was abnormal.

A labyrinth with walls of wood and leaves was her element. Was it that these children were Demi-divine? Possibly; Moss had never met someone like that. But all her illusory tricks in the past worked on ordinary humans without exception. She scowled and felt her face flush—still invisibly. In an admittance of small defeat, the false serpent’s sound softly ceased and a small orb of green light materialized beside the two other students to hover silently. Moss continued to listen to their conversation, but didn’t understand who they were talking about. This ‘Ares’ was a name unknown to her. She fell back to listening without attempting to interpret what of their words she didn’t immediately understand. Moss did take mental note on the self-descriptions of ‘making bad things happen to people’ and ‘punching things really hard.’

It came freshly into her mind how Moss disliked this place.

Reiko stares at her tablet for a long moment. She gives a big sigh and looks at Thoth. "While I hate going against my sister's orders I rather not have our students turn into stone. Let's just get everyone out of here. Lets get them a warm Meal and usher them to their sleeping quarters." she spoke loudly, and Herc went around the otherside of the labyrinth he was going to make sure Old Bessie fell asleep.

Reiko then slapped the Tablet terminating the app that was on and started walking towards the Labyrinth herself whistling for Thoth to follow. She was going to go to the entrance and use the speakerphone to call everyone back. Despite how reiko seems she really cares for her students. She even started thinking about having exceptions from Hero class, but giving them at least the ability to survive in the world that they come from. She was Soft...mainly because...She was only in her twenties, she was no deity, she wasn't even truly a hero, Just a demigod who wanted to make sure the next generation survived. Even if that meant going against the gods themselves.
