  • The village of Kemurigakure since its inception has always been an odd village out. It was funded as a 'side project' by the Aurum family, one of the founding families of the great industrial city of Koseki. It was developed as a source of loyal mercenaries who could take care of jobs primarily within the city as a 'police force' of sorts for the black market sleeping underneath the city. It grew from its humble roots, drawing in many rogue ninja and expanding in size over time. Its growth continued, fueled by the support of the city itself. What started as a small village ended up blossoming into a much more respectable one. It might of not been anywhere near the scope of the Great Villages, but it held a position of wealth fueled by residence of the city finding a place within the village and the Aurum's consistent cash flow helping to support their its growth. Unfortunately, all good things can't last forever. In the third great war, Kemuri found itself entangled with the great conflict. It became part of the Yuniti alliance, consisting of the great villages of Chikagakure and Namigakure. It was through this alliance the shinobi of the village found themselves purposely thrown into more dangerous tasks, used more as fodder then anything else. As the numbers took their toll, ultimately with the loss of the village leader, the village withdrew from the conflict. A great deal of disdain was built from the members of the Yuniti alliance, and further to the other involved villages. As peace finally was settled upon, Kemuri was left completely out of any of the dealings. The village itself found itself separated from the Aurum families consistent cash stream and was left to die having less then 20% of its shinobi left over after the conflict from deaths or many abandoning the village all together. Over thirteen years have passes since the village fell into ruin. Its once active streets have become bare as most of the village is left abandoned. The newest leader has worked hard since the obtaining the position to try and piece back together Kemuri. The village struggles to keep itself above water, fueled only by the loyalty of those who are left to stay afloat. Now, the newest line of Shinobi have ventured out of the academy seeking to prove themselves. They are rather naive to the world, the stories of the great village Kemuri once was only sounds as if they were stories when venturing through the abandoned homes. They face the world unaware of the past events and the hurdles facing them in a world which views their village as not deserving to exist. Will they be able to survive in such a harsh world?
