  • Carmainerose

In her rush to get to the stables as quickly as possible Carmaine had completely forgotten about the need for supplies, only realising so well into her stride. Thus, a brief pit stop had to be taken at the guild’s kitchen, where only the most basic of supplies (Water, fruit, veggies and some bread) were bagged up for the expedition. At least this way they’d have access to some nourishment in case the surrounding lands were as barren as they looked. With this brief but necessary sidetrack out of the way, the group was now free to continue.

Ah, the stables, a location Carmaine was all too familiar with. A by-product of her race and preferred class was that of a far limited mode of transportation without the aid of an outside force. This usually wasn’t an issue considering she was part of a guild with an ample selection of capable magicians, however given the current situation it was best to keep teleportation to an absolute minimum. The world was far too different now to what they knew after all, proper reconnaissance of the surroundings was a must. Plus, to put it bluntly, Carmaine was never a fan of such direct means of transportation, to her teleporting around was simply too dull. As such the dark knight had developed a passion for collecting any and all mounts, no matter how silly some of them looked. Out of all of them though Carmaine had only one in mind for today’s task.

"Try not to be too impressed you two, though if you ask nicely I am sure he wouldn't mind if one of you chose to ride along with me." She said somewhat smugly to Fritz and Adelheid before she began searching. After a few seconds of browsing around Carmaine made her way back to the awaiting duo, following closely behind was her mount of choice. The steed closely resembled a black Clysdale horse due to the way it was heavily built, however the similarities ended there, for this one’s limbs were shrouded in fire and smoke, with stern orange eyes that remained attentive at all times. Anyone with enough game knowledge would immediately recognize this to be an “Inferno Ruiner”, an exceedingly rare mount from one of the game’s first ever seasonal raids: “Dr.Ranken’s Carnival of Agony”. While the raid was seasonal, the rewards it provided were ever changing, thus the prize pool was always different from year to year. The “Inferno Ruiner” had only been seen during the raid’s first ever iteration, thus explaining its rarity.

Before Carmaine could say anything or even saddle up though, what could only be described as the single worst sin ever committed towards the game's music department began assaulting the ears of everyone within the fortress, followed closely by the single most obnoxious entrance of the day. Really though only one of them was necessary for Carmaine to immediately know who it was.

“Long story short, Zagreus and Egaloth are off their leashes and we are heading out to see if they’ve sniffed anything out. For everything else, we are just as lost as you are. Shame, I am sure your viewers would've loved to see your reaction right about now.” Carmaine answered Koku’s inquiry with her usual flare. Despite the fact that her overly flashy nature was hard to get used to Koku was still a solid enough choice to have for such a predicament. With no time to lose the red-haired girl placed the supplies inside a saddle bag before she herself finally saddled up, redirecting her steed towards the stable’s exit. “We are leaving now, try not to swallow any bugs as you fly off.”

After taking a few steps into the barren outside Carmaine took a moment to absorb her surroundings. Shockingly though the wild duo had left no obvious signs of their desired route, a surprising fact considering she fully expected them to leave behind a trail of destruction. Granted though, there really wasn’t much to destroy in such a desolate place. As Carmaine attempted to decide on the best course of action, a sound that I can only describe as “glittery” suddenly made its presence known to the girl’s right ear. Carmaine immediately recognized it. Flying into her field of vision came a fairy, who politely bowed once the dark knight became aware of its presence. Carmaine chuckled and turned her head back to face the fortress, her sight firmly set on a window where the faint light of a candle could be spotted.
“Working hard as always, eh Oberon?” She said as she nodded in appreciation. Once her gratitude had been expressed, Carmaine returned her attention back to the fairy. “Very well then, lead the way towards those meatheaded fools.” Eager to obey, the fairy happily twirled in the air before it was off flying in a direction deep into the wasteland, leaving behind what appeared to be a trail of glitter for the party to follow. “Alright everyone, we are off! Don’t worry about Tempesta for now, knowing her she’ll be catching up in no time. YAH!” And thus Carmaine was off, and as she rode off she made sure she kept the fairy within her vision. The last thing they needed was to get lost in such a place.

Penny
Location: Meeting Room

"Sitting around doing nothing is a waste of our limited time... though, we might have more time than we thought would have." Penny watched as the taller woman drapped the oversized jacket on her. She found it really interesting that such elaborate actions can be done now. She started to connect the dots and though some possible explanations of what was happening right now. Though her mind suddenly focused at Tempesta's words the moment she offered her to join the guild's first adventure at the new world.

"Just like old days." There's a gleam on her eyes as she mumbled to herself. Exploring new places was her absolute favorite things to do in YGGDRASIL. Back when the devs were still active at updating the game she would grind supplies for a few weeks before the new expansion was released so she would be able to join the first batch of expedition.

"Count me in." Nodding at the offering, she suddenly realized that she was already prepared for a long travel since she just came back from Far North. Everything was there, ready in her inventory. Now if only she could actually access it...

Raising both of her hands, Penny started probing the air as if she was trying to find an invisible button midair. She couldn't open the menu but she might be able to find the prompt somewhere. Although it wasn't a window prompt like she expected, she did discovered something important. A portal of light suddenly appeared in front of her hand. Ruffling inside the light hole, she managed to pull out a pair of gold-trimmed white guns from it. Her multi-purpose default weapons, Dual Solutions. Curious, she put her harpoon gun inside, close the portal and then take out her harpoon gun again, put it back then close the portal again.

Conceptually it was no different than the game's system but she found the sensation of using her mind to search for items quite fascinating. Her merchant class and some paid items gave her a really extensive item box capacity and sometimes searching a particular items inside can be such a pain. She continued pulling and putting items from her inventory, as if practicing to use it as quickly as possible. Another guild member came into the room and asked what happened.

"We are going on new adventure. Join us." She nodded at Eschaton.

Cupping her chin Keiseikeikoku would slowly nod to Carmines words, composing herself somewhat and putting her game face back on, all the while her maids continued to flank her stone faced. "Ah yes, While those viewers are no longer present physically that i can detect, Its not as if their benefit has entirely left, nor that it is impossible to replace such. Hmm well then, I suppose you can escort me along to new potential ones." giving a small wink and chuckle before starting to make her own preparations, or think of which to make.

They didnt know the distance and since others were using mounts simple walking was out of the question, flight as well, so that meant she needed to use a mount of her own but the question was which one?. What sort of initial impression did she want to make? she had a variety to choose from and sadly lacked the randomize feature to make the choice for her now.

She was very much curious about the new area so a carriage would be out of the question due to limiting her view, A Hortonphant did have a viewing platform above its back and more room, and allowed more to be seated but that didnt fit the forest and could scare off people. So something cute was the best choice, though that did not narrow it down given her expansive collection of earned and donated mounts. The stables in question was a good staging ground but it naturally could only display mounts that had been set in the available slots with the rest being stored within a players mount collection menu, so it was perhaps a good time to try and use that.

While consciously she really wasnt sure how to actually access those, it seemed unconsciously she had the knowledge be part of her character, similar to spells and other abilities and so she just had to try and hopefully it would work. Reaching out she would close her eye and make a series of elaborate gestures, spinning on the spot in a short dance and calling out as she let her ability flow out "Divine Stead of Kawai Kirei Kurakura Neko Neko Nii!".

A blinding light and golden dust would coalesce into a large and wide form, before with a burst a giant ball of fur with a reclined seat atop its back. Finally turning around the smiling face of what seemed to be a extremely overweight and fluffy cat like creature, though despite appearances it was still deceptively fast being at the same tier of movement as other exclusive mounts. The K3N3 mounts were each given exclusive names upon gaining them, hers having been named "Lovecraft" to fit for her persona by chat poll. Though she honestly could not even recall how she gained the creature now she thought about it, it might have been a donation from a sub or a host of other methods, the downsides of having so much is keeping track of what came from where was a nightmare sometimes, at least without her black book cheat sheets to recall which subscribers to mention and keep sweet.

While distracted by the thought however, her maids had already approached and each crouched, extended a hands to create a makeshift step to help her onto her creature which she took with glee, seating herself upon the luxuriously soft fur of the creature. Now this was something she could enjoy, the fluffy warm fur was something you couldn't appreciate without the new sensations of the game becoming reality. Laying down atop the creature she hugged the fur while it purred away, seemingly not noticing each of her maids had taken their place upon their own mounts resembling twin giant blonde afghan hounds with braided hair and matching colored ribbons.

Keiseikeikoku was broken from her admiration of the cat mount finally by Carmine speaking once more announcing their departure, causing her to sit up somewhat, though more accurately still reclining as if posing relaxed for a portrait as directed it to follow along and keep pace with her fellow player. "Yes, Yes, I am looking forward to seeing the world with new eyes as well, I mean just thing of all the benefits now its actually reality!, I always did get hungry watching those cooking animations and reading the descriptions, oh and tightness aside the cute outfits that would cost a entire months worth of subs like being wrapped in divine silk, Minds a flutter with all the possibilities now." truth be told she was perhaps accepting the situation rather quickly given the strangeness, but its not like she could do anything to change it so acceptance was the easiest option for now. Besides its not like their old world was much to miss in comparison, polluted air, dead earth, and the countless towers of densely packed corporation controlled cities were something to miss. Sure there might be a few real world amenity's like internet and the like missing, but she was sure she could learn to manage or find alternatives, especially with magic now being a thing.

Running a hand along her side in thought she smiled about all the other benefits once more as well before idly turning her head to Carmine again. "So...How are you enjoying all the changes? Never really recall seeing you in the IRL but always struck me as going with the whole mousy sweatpants and glasses deal. I mean thinking about it really glad i went with human for the race, the whole Devil Succubus route? The cloven hooves, tail and wings would really have taken some getting used to, Hmm, Oh thinking on that wonder how the undead or golem thing feels? That might suck a little now i think about it, you know with the whole unfeeling undead slash contract things, and the weird demon bodies all together" she mused to herself pursing her lips at the final thought before giving a light laugh "Oh wow, I think i just remembered, most of the demon and angel true forms are as anatomically correct as a Ken doll. That really is going to suck" her sweet laughter echoing around them as they traveled.

Tempesta could hear Penny clear as day with her heightened senses. It was very odd, especially now that she could hear things she didn't before. Never once did she think she could hear as well as she did now. Snapping out of her thoughts, her lips curled into a smile as the girl agreed to go out adventuring "Perfect." she said in response. Though what came next was the amusement of Penny actually messing around with reaching into a portal of light, pulling items out and pushing them back in. Is that how we would access our inventories? I mean, after all, I'm sure we all had things sitting in them before the shutdown... How does she access it? it was a question that was going to have to wait. Why? Well because there was the sound of someone walking down the hall and soon was walking into the room. Crimson eyes shifted over and noticed the large familiar knight known as the Type Knight. Well, to her he was known as the Type Knight. All he did was type to the guild all the time, and hearing him speak actually was quite a difference pace. Raising an eyebrow, she turned fully toward him "Just to narrow it down for you Type Knight," the vampire began.

"We're not in a game anymore. This is just as real as real life." the woman removed one of her gloves and brought her wrist to her lips "I'll demonstrate." her fangs dug into the flesh and there was visible pain to the womans face before she pulled herself away. Tempesta revealed the wound to him, showing the blood that slowly spilled out before closing up as if it was never there "We are the characters that we've created in this world and the guild itself is no longer in the location it was planted in." she then wiped the blood away from her wrist and slipped the black glove back on "We're looking as a guild to investigate the area. As you can see, Penny is looking forward to the Adventure." those pointed ears of hers twitched just slightly "Everyone else has already gone ahead, especially Ega and Zag. Which -by the way- keep an eye out on them. Apparently they can hear voices in their heads." she tapped her temple to emphasize.

"You in, Eschaton?"

His reply would only determine which mount she would use to transport the team. Knowing her, she always tried to get the multiple person mounts. Sure, there were some singles, but the multiple rider ones were the fun ones to obtain. Even if it meant spending some cash, or even grinding for hours to get the mount drop. If he was coming, she'd grab the Cerberus mount that she literally went through hell for. That raid alone made her want to throw herself out the window, but luckily Tempesta pulled through and got a massive mount for her team to use whenever she was on.

What his guildmates had just said was a lot to take in. It sounded like something that came out straight out of an anime plot. Should he feel excited? Should he be scared? What dangers will this new life pose to him and his friends? So many questions and only one way to find out. The knight starred at the vampire's girl demonstration of how truly "real" everything was. Though he wondered why she choose such a graphic and painful way of proving this hypothesis. If he had a face right now, he would look fairly bewildered. But fortunately, or unfortunately for him, he is a half-golem and lacks many organic components.

Strangely enough, Sento wasn't too saddened about being whisked away to another world. Its not like had anything going for him before in the real world. Sure he was a content creator, but due to his addiction to the game he had little to no social life apart from the people of his guild. And even then, he had a hard time talking to them. But now was not the time to think about the past. According to tempesta, several of the other guildmates were also present aside from her and Penny. Good, at least he won't be lonely.

"I see." he replied, indicating he heard and understood everything she just said. At least, that's what it should sound like to her. Upon being offered to accompany them to investigate the new world, Eschaton paused for a moment, thinking about whether such a choice was an appropriate one, after all, if everyone was going out, the palace would be left without a player character to guard it. A scary thought. But if what Tempesta said was through, this shouldn't be a problem. Placing his free hand on the eye emblem on his chest, multiple small portals, or communication windows, were opened, revealing the lead knights of Eschaton's court. If Sento truly has become Eschaton, then the next step should work without any issues. "What is your bidding, Exalted one." The knights spoke in unison, immediately recognizing their master. "Omega-Lambda-7-XL-9" It was a code for something supposedly only known to him and his NPCs. Despite him having explained to his guildmates numerous times, none of them seemed to remember what it was. But his knights sure did, immediately responding in unison towards his coded orders. "It will be done, Exalted one." It was simply order to engage the palace's defences, ordering all his Knights to patrol their assigned halls and eliminate any hostile intruders.

"Let us depart at once, Tempesta, Penny." And with that, the knight was ready to leave with the two, confident that no hostile force will disturb their variable fortress.

ADELHEID BACH
W/ FRITZ CARMAINE & KOKU
"You know you can just use the fly spell, right? You would have no need for a steed."

"I could use a fly spell, but we're a team! If everyone else needs a mount, I'll use a mount. If the others need to take care of their steeds, I'll be there to lend a hand!" Adelheid cheerfully smiled to Fritz, clearly lying through her teeth. As soon as they reached the stables, she had no intentions in wrinkling her clothes or tending to a steed. Instead the decision to reach the stables was influenced by the people she was accompanying rather than the goal—a need for a brief reprieve from the rowdier members of the guild, following her more embarrassing interactions with Zagreus.

Eventually the trio reached the stables, with Carmaine being the first to retrieve her mount. Following a few short moments, the dark knight returned with her fiery mount. Adelheid had seen the mount a few times in the past, though this would be her first encounter with it "in-person". It was admittedly a splendid mount, one Adelheid had nearly no ways in obtaining as she wasn't an early player of the game. Though before the sorcerer could really react to the mount, from afar she heard a familiar, ear wrenching song accompanied with its even more obnoxious introduction.

"Oh—Koku! So glad to...see you!" Adelheid greeted, her face scrunched as Koku's introduction music continued to play. She was friendly enough and had an eye for vanities that she appreciated, though unfortunately for Adelheid she no longer had a mute button for her guildmate's intro theme.

Following some chatter, Koku summoned her mount—an equally as impressive cat mount. It was indeed cuter than Carmaine's flaming horse, though Adelheid would still prefer flight over both mounts. While riding the cat, she would have to deal with a wad of fur sticking on her clothes, and with the horse the fur would instead be soot. After a quick cast of her spell, Adelheid followed Carmaine's lead as Koku began to further converse with Carmaine.

"Me too," Adelheid nodded in reply to Koku's mentioning of becoming other races. "Some of the others are dealing with voices in their head or a taste for blood...I'm glad the only thing I need to deal with are a pair of pointy ears."

Tempesta.png
1660527802125.png

Tempesta was surprised that Eschaton was able to summon and talk with his own NPCs just as easy as Penny opening her inventory portal. The vampire wondered if her own NPC was still hanging around. Maybe he was just waiting for her within her room? She'd have to take a look as she would gather some belongings. Once he had finished, she gave him a firm nod "Great. Let me stop by my room to gather some supplies. Especially for some of our more..." eyes shifted briefly toward Penny and then back "Human-like members." walking past Eschaton, she then paused for a moment "We're taking the Cerberus mount, by the way. Meet me at the stables." with that said, Tempesta slipped out, her heels clicking throughout the place. I can head into my room, grab what I have inside my inventory chest, and see if maybe my own NPC can assist with opening my inventory. If he even is an NPC any more. she thought. Her wardrobe change was in order as well. She couldn't go outside in her suit, surely she wouldn't want to ruin it if things got a little rough out there.

Adjusting her hat, she started to feel more of her skin. This was her body now. She was no longer in the real boring world where a job was needed just to get by. No longer from a world that she would hate as she got older. Slowly a smirk started to tug her lips We can do whatever we want here. We're a strong guild. Strong people. I don't have to be afraid any more. it was time for her to have a hell of a time in this wonderful world she was now going to call home. Pace was quickened as she came closer to her chambers and as soon as she got there, Tempesta pulled the door open to see the darkness that lied within. It felt like eons that she stood there in thought, that was before a voice spoke up and gave her a bit of a jump "Tempesta, my lady. I didn't think you'd be back so soon after saying you were leaving for quite a time." Oh shit, Vladimir was still here! Within the darkness, she could see his eyes glowing and looking directly toward her "Well, I may have changed my mind. In fact, the guild and I will be going to do an adventure instead. So I suppose that yes, I'll still be going for a little while."

She stepped into the room and the door was shut behind her. These were so many different feelings around her. Between the sounds, the feelings, the smells. It was a little overwhelming to say the least. That's when she began to feel the hands brushing her shoulders. I didn't think feeling Vlad's touch would be pretty intense. "Lady Tempesta, would you like me to take your suit off? Would you like something a little more...Adventure worthy?" he asked within her ear. Tempesta couldn't help but laugh into the dark "I have just the right outfit, Vladimir. Don't you worry. In fact, I have one job for you." she turned and grasped his jaw within her hand "Show me how to open my inventory. It seems I've forgotten how." her eyes glowed as they bore into the soul of Vladimir.

It didn't take him long to show her how to open the inventory once again. He did not disappoint as he also helped her gather the right outfit, the supplies, and enough blood to hopefully prevent her from biting into anyone. Departing from the room and she made a bee line toward the stables while her silver strands followed behind her. Her cloak flowing in the breeze she created with her pace "I apologize for being late." the vampire called out as she stepped inside "It's possible that releasing Cerberus in here may be a bad idea considering the damage he could make... Mmm... Lets head outside." it was quite obvious she was settling into the skin that was hers. Once outside, she opened her inventory and reached inside, pulling out a familiar Hell Event Coin that she tossed towards the open field. For a moment it was silent, before suddenly magic started to swirl around in an orange hue, soon revealing a three headed dog who's fangs were bearing and chains were hanging off the feet. "Say Hello to Cerberus."

She approached the large dog and climbed up onto him. Using his Fur to climb.

JUST WAR CRIMES
Zagreus Kayn
The flapping of wings ringed in Zagreus’s ears. He saw Empyrean descending from the sky, looking as angelic but crazy as usual. The psychopath finally decided to leave his Labitory and all it took was him to be stuck in the game. Before he could say anything, Umbra yelled “UNKNOWN INCOMING!! PROTECT THE GREAT ONES!!” Creo summoned two wolf spirits, one of pure light and the other of pure darkness; she proceeded to get in a defensive position. Umbra cloaked herself and charged toward the angel. “STAND DOWN!” commanded Zagreus. He apologized for his guardians' behavior. He knew that they meant good but they should know friend from foe. If they don't then this is going to be bad in the future.

"Egaloth, Zagreus where are you two headed? Are we the only ones here?” Zagreus waited for his guildmate to land before he answered him. “Well..” Before he could even answer the angel, Egaloth opened his mouth. "Nah, Fritz and most of the gang are back in the guild room. I was just uh.. tired of hearing them running their mouths, you know? Also: Turns out being a cursed character isn't all that it's cracked up to be. I've got some asshole in here who is just dying to be let out." With a little annoyed look on his, face Zag pinched between his eyes and pointed at his fellow demon “What Eggo said.” He lifted his head up and saw the curious look on the angel’s face “We are about to go pillage the village nearby. Do you want to join? You could get some excellent test subjects there.” He said with an evil grin.

The sound of horses and wagons for heard over the hillside. The village was in reach and the feast was about to begin. Zagreus never thought he would be so excited to quench his thirst. "Victims! At long last.. God, seriously.. the rest of the Guild is missing out, man.." he smiled in agreement. Maybe after all this chaos, those damn voices would stop nagging at each other. “Can't you tell the others about the village?” Zagreus overheard Egaloth say to the Angel. The demon scoffed at his remark “Pfft… I say fuck that. If they wanted to come along they would’ve been here by now just like Empy over here.” He said as he tried to put his arm around the floating angel. The wings made it difficult for him so he just gave up and gave him a side hug instead. The demon loosened himself up with a few stretches and said with a sadistic look in his eye. “So who’s hungry because I am?“ Zag licked his lower lip and from fang to fang. He started to walk towards the town.

Penny
Location: meeting room -> outside

Eschaton suddenly talk didn't surprise Penny at all, he's a real person behind the avatar after all. However, when his NPCs appeared and talked as if they're truly alive she became really curious about it. Should she call The Sisters to find out? Maybe later, one at a time. She should focus on preparing herself for the journey ahead now.

As Tempesta went into her room, Penny simply opened her inventory portal and started pulling some items from it. Since now the game became reality she wasn't sure how similar the outside world would be to the real world, previous real world. She wouldn't be surprised if out there was filled with inhabitable heavily polluted land with few corporate-controlled mega cities, but she hoped the new world would be more like the game one. Still, there's no harm in being prepared. Penny pulled a beaked gas mask and put in on her face, then she pulled a white-trimmed black veil to put on head. Lastly, she changed her weapon to a golden semi-automatic rifle, with engravings on the handle. Now she's prepared, probably.

Following Tempesta outside, Penny squinted hard as she looked over the horizon and was thankful that so far she didn't see poisonous miasma or ugly sky scrappers. Looking back to her guildmates, she nodded at the mount summoned by Tempesta. She didn't think a cerberus would be the best choice for a three-person ride but at least it's not the April Fool edition mount where the devs gave their players a rock as a mount... Wait, would that thing now became alive too?

"Hello." Patting the cerberus' hind leg, Penny let out a brief stream of holy energy from her wingpack, just enough to propels her onto the large canine's back and positioned herself accordingly.

The bustling village was going about its day, the two hundred villagers doing the various tasks they were set out to do. The nearest town next to it was twenty miles away, making the village isolated from much of the woes of the world. The village was surrounded by herds of sheep, the plains making excellent pastures for them. The village was mostly self-reliant, all goods and food made in or caught in the surrounding areas. Crime was nonexistent here, as everybody knew everyone. The village was the definition of peaceful, but it would change this fated day....

Fritz appeared to be ecstatic that so many of his guild members seemed to be stuck with him, but he was less than happy to hear the entrances and appearances of his fellow guild members. "Perfect... I can't even suffer alone." He mumbled to himself as he watched everybody gather their mounts. He wasn't interested in partaking as he had no need for one. He also wanted to get high enough to catch a glimpse of the two maniacs before they do anything out of hand.

He walked outside nonchalantly, silent casting the fly spell, propelling into the air. He looked down at Eike below him, barking a command to him. "Patrol the perimeter of the castle, I don't want anything getting near this place." Eike saluted Fritz, bounding off to do his duty. Many of the guild members have already made their way after them and he was going to as well like Carmaine had suggested, but he stopped himself after catching sight of Penny and Eschaton. He might as well go say his greetings before they depart.

He hovered over to the trio, lowering himself so they wouldn't have to crane their necks trying to talk to him. "It's good to see you Miss Penny and Sir Eschaton. I hope Tempesta already got you up to speed to our current situation. Egaloth and Zagreus have fallen to their inner desires and have wandered off like a bunch of children. I hope you are both much more level-headed, as I don't want to have to be a disciplinarian." Fritz was on edge, but who wouldn't be? It was no longer a simple game and to make silly mistakes like those two oafs can threaten the whole guild.

Another issue is if they find villagers. Pretending to be a villain is fun, but taking the life of someone who is actually real? Fritz couldn't imagine himself doing it on a whim, as their circumstances had drastically changed. All actions have consequences to them, some apparent and some unrealized. This was their real world now and there wasn't any way to get back to the old world. The last thing he wanted to do was to ruin his new life, as he wasn't confident he would get a second chance.

Eschaton remained silent as he waited for Tempesta to return, observing Penny's use of the inventory system. She was pulling out her beaked mask, a signature style of her along with her golden gun. From that, the surmises that all the good lot he had on his character should be with him as well. Who would have thought all those years of hoarding items would finally pay off. With that in mind, he wondered what else had transferred over to this new world. Unlike Penny, Eschaton already had everything he needed in his character. It was a habit of his to make a few premade loadouts for any situation.

A few moments later, Tempesta had returned, with a new outfit. He quite liked this one, of course, he would never say such a thing out loud. Too bad she was a bit of psycho, or maybe she's just playing a character. Either way, it was difficult to tell how the guild members really are in real life. That brings to question, how many of the other guild members were in the same predicament. Perhaps the most worrying was how they would react to this "new" life.

He took a moment to enjoy the summoning animation of the rare mount. It was even more spectacular than how it is usually portrayed in the game. Perhaps things wouldn't be so bad out here after all. Eschaton took a few steps upwards, using his boots to generate temporary magical platforms that allowed him to climb the large beast. It was then he remembered he didn't actually didnt need a mount since had an alternative form of getting around. But then again...it was pretty rude to get off once he was already on. Considering Tempesta through all the trouble of dressing up as well.

Upon meeting the guild leader outside, he instinctively greeted him with a respectful bow, befitting a knight. Based on what he told him, his worst fears have been realized. With two of their guild members already fallen into madness, apparently. However, based on what Tempesta told him, something about hearing voices, Eschaton already had a working theory. "Lord Fritz, it is likely their strange behavior is the result of the backstories programmed into their character and class being turned into reality. It is best that we deal with this situation before it escalates any further." So far, based on his knowledge, he didn't write anything trippy or weird about his own character, in fact, he based the personality of Eschaton a lot on himself. Or at least he wishes he was.

"Lord Fritz, if you so desire, I can attempt to bring them back into the guild compound, by force if necessary." He knew how chaotic some of these players are, with his experience with hunting griefers in Yggdrasill, and PVP prowess, surely it wouldn't be too difficult. Though he wasn't sure how keen Penny and Tempesta would be in hunting their old friends. Regardless, he was prepared to proceed alone if necessary.

Empyrean
Angel/Priest/Sorcerer

1660663069162.png

So the others were here as well. Right away that gave Empyrean pause as he had to then think ahead and weigh out the options next steps he would take. It was no surprise that Zagreus and Egaloth wanted to raze a village and revel in a chaos of their own making. The two were standard frontline fighter material and they enjoyed the thrilling of combat so who could expect them to be anything different. How could they be judged though when the guild itself was supposedly an evil one. But would the rest of the group be willing to dirty their hands and their souls? Empyrean had awoken in this world with blood already soaking his hands and he couldn't deny the thrill that he felt getting to see his work in person. Plus the fact that the two of these brutes were out here alone meant that the others may already have disagreed with their course of action.

"I think that I will join you." Empyrean declared before he turned away from the two and floated higher up into the air just above the tree line. He could see the village more clearly now and it seemed full of life. Watching these two disrupt their daily routine and observing how the inhabitants reacted would make for good notes on the behavioral patterns of this new world's denizens. "This will be the perfect field test for you two, the first chance to see what your new bodies can truly do." The angel said in a tone that was meant to spur excitement in his guildmates. He too was curious as to what they could really do and eager to see the limits of their power in this new world.

Without further delay, Empyrean crouched down while in the air and then seconds later jettisoned upward into the sky. His white hair whipped around as he soar into the air above the village and came to an abrupt stop. From here he had the perfect view of the incoming chaos and as his golden armor gleamed in the sun's light, he was barely visible to the humans down below.

Tempesta made herself comfortable atop of Cerberus's middle head to have a good view of where they'd be going. After all, wouldn't want to run into anything on accident should anything arise in the way. Shouldn't take us very long to find those two. she thought as she glanced behind her and down at the pair that were beginning to approach and climb onto the dog. "They are very much brought up to date about our current situation with our meatheads for guildmates." she stated, turning her attention over toward Fritz. Eschaton spoke up and she remained quiet for the moment, petting the mount's neck gently. He was definitely fuzzy, and luckily with summoning and de-summoning, grooming was not even needed to take care of such a mount...Hopefully. While continuing her petting, the vampire began to think of ways to shut down the boys. They had voices, demons in their heads. Now that they were actually experiencing such side effects for real this could mean that they could become the guild's enemy.

Zoning back into the conversation at hand, she caught the last bits from Eschaton. "I believe that is something you're most likely going to have to do, Eschaton. We don't know how much they're listening to the voices in their head. They could have a massive influence on their actions for all we know." who knows what those voices were saying into the boy's ears "As much as they are our friends, they'll prove to be a problem if we let them do what they please. In fact, they could become our enemy in this world and make our lives difficult." while she voiced her thoughts, the woman adjusted her hat and returned her attention to Fritz "Are you aware of the direction they had gone toward, Fritz? We could get there fairly quickly with the legs of this one" she patted the neck of the dog. Granted, she could use her nose but...She wasn't like a dog, on top of it all they were in an open field now. Which means the wind could carry the scent a different direction.

Penny
Location: outside

Still sitting on the mount, Penny simply nodded at Firtz' greeting. What he said about some members waltzing on their own actually gave her a bit of relief since she knew for sure that there were quite a few of her guildmates who got thrown into this new world. She didn't worry much about what Egaloth and Zagreus would do though, if they want to trample over a few NPC sites like usual then so be it. Though she was curious about how alive the NPC of this world would be so she wanted to see some of them.

"I'm not interested in senseless destruction, if that's what you are worrying." Penny let out a low-pitched raspy voice as her plague doctor gas mask filtered and distorted it far from her regular voice. Her gloved right hand gently swiped across the barrel of her golden rifle, as if giving it a playful rub. "But I'm ready to kill."

She then listened to Eschaton stating an interesting theory that caught her attention. She didn't write any flavor text for her character so she didn't feel anything different, but if that's proven to be true then wouldn't they become overgeared now? They're a bunch of lvl 100s with item descriptions that would level countries to the ground. One of her weapon even had a text about it being a god killer but it was nowhere near the the top meta weapon in the game simply because the weapon lacks the big numbers and broken effects. Checking the in-game knowledge consistency would be something she needs to do later.

Tempesta was wondering about the directions of where the duo went and Penny immediately thought of this as an opportunity to try something herself, spell. She used escape, she saw Tempesta summoned cerberus and she saw Fritz fly, but she hadn't cast any spell directly herself.

"Retrocognition." She huffed.

The moment she muttered the spell she felts like reality was suddenly multiplied and overlapped with each other. She saw glimpses of the past on top of the current one and it took her a few moments to finally able to discern both realities. This was surely much more overwhelming than simply using it in the game, but she couldn't help but become intrigued by it.

"There." Raising her index finger and pointed at a direction, Penny showed Tempesta the direction towards a village in the far distance. "Empyrean is also with them."

"This will be the perfect field test for you two, the first chance to see what your new bodies can truly do." Egaloth wasn’t exactly surprised to hear such encouraging words from his guild mate, knowing that Empryean was a frequent harbinger of chaos like he and Zagreus. However, what he wasn’t expecting, was the sudden windy exit, the air pushed away by Empyreans wings making Egaloth’s raven-hued locks fly all over the place.

Pushing his hair away from his face again, Egaloth sighed wistfully, glad to finally do something fun again. Life is a game now, and, up until this point, it felt like most of the people around him were simply trying to dull the experience. Bring real life into a place that clearly didn’t need such tragic qualities. Needless to say, Egaloth’s grin was nearly inhuman as he quickly made his way closer to the bustling village.

The closer he got, the louder the low, rumbling voice within him spoke:

Poor village. So stupid, so naive. They do not know that their time has come.

Egaloth couldn’t deny that this demonic curse he had was pretty egotistical, and kind of a dick. But he also couldn’t exactly deny that he felt the same. Villages like these were perfect opportunities to level up, loot, and possibly earn new quests. He wondered if the same would happen now.

Unfortunately, reality began to set in. They weren’t going very fast.

“Damn, if only I had a horse..”

HORSE?! What kind of peon do you take me for?! Release me this instant and you won’t have to make such stupid comments any more!

Would the demon get them there quicker? Last he remembered, the berserker form was quite powerful, but was only active for a certain amount of time. Egaloth didn’t want to waste it for transportation purposes.

Fine, then use our boots, coward.

Egaloth furrowed his brows in confusion, before looking down to find what looked to be iron boots that were.. on fire? It took him a moment or so until his memory came back to him.

Oh, shit! That’s right, he had earned himself boots that nearly tripled his speed when sprinting. With a smirk, Egaloth dug his feet into the plains beneath him, bending his knees, before speaking up: “So, meet you there?”

Without waiting for a response, Egaloth took off, running at full speed.

Everything around him was a blur, making the fighter practically giggle as he ran. What an odd sensations to be going so fast, when in real life, he’d be a heaving pile of sweat on the floor at this rate.

  • Carmainerose

It had only been a few seconds into the whole mount experience when Carmaine was hit by a sudden realization: Never before in her life had she even touched a horse. Being born and raised within the confines of the big city meant that her experience with farm animals was limited to those you see through indirect means such as a magazine or movie. Being a med student also wasn’t exactly helpful either when it came to expanding her horizons in that front. Despite it all, as of this moment riding felt oddly familiar, or rather simplified at least. Still, having to chase after Oberon’s fairy and keeping up with the Inferno Ruiner’s breakneck speeds were all proving to be a tad bit overwhelming. At the very least her mind was kept at ease thanks to the conversation Koku and Adelheid had started.

“Ha! Couldn’t agree more, just seeing the way Zagreus and Egaloth are acting makes me thankful for my choice of classes and race. Hell, even someone as reserved as Tempesta makes my appreciation that much stronger. Did you see the way she was looking at our necks? Feels like the lot of us won the lottery at this point.” Carmaine couldn’t help but laugh about the whole situation along with Koku, it was downright ridiculous. The laughter soon faded though, leaving behind a far more stern expression. “Though that choice of theirs may just leave behind some unhealable scars. Look.” Ahead of the group, still a few good miles away, sat an unassuming village. By all means average, it looked just like any standard low level town one would come across multiple times throughout a playthrough of YGGDRASIL. However, such a pleasant location was bound to attract the attention of rabid hounds in search of a quick laugh. Ahead of the advancing party were both Zagreus and Egaloth, both making their way towards the town, the latter moving with a brisker pace. “Tsk.” The dark knight couldn’t hide her frustration, it almost felt like she was looking at a pair of predators ready to rip off their prey’s neck. What sort of lives had these two been living back in the real world for this to be their immediate choice? Whatever the case, it was time to act, the last thing they needed was to lose the one possible source of information they currently had at their disposal. Plus, if there were actually villagers, Carmaine had something else in mind for them.

“Okay you two, get ready for the worst. Koku, try to take on Zagreus, knowing him I am sure he’d be happy to listen to you if you talked to him like you usually do. Adelheid, you’re with me, do me a favour and cast a barrier large and strong enough to encapsulate the entire village. I’ll take on Egaloth for now. Alright, GO!” Carmaine yelled at the duo, putting full trust on their skills.

With a strike to the Ruiner’s side the mount was off, and had Carmaine not anticipated the sudden shift in speed she could’ve easily fallen off her steed. The reason for her sudden change in demeanour stemmed from the fact that it seemed like Egaloth had equipped an Icarus branded pair of boots, effectively tripling his normal speed and greatly limiting the response time that the team had to deal with. The cursed knight was practically a brakeless train in collision course with the village, forcing Carmaine to push the Ruiner to its limits. A massive cloud of dust and debris formed as she closed the distance between herself and Egaloth. She didn’t even have the time to give Zagreus a second look or even notice Empyrean’s presence, her sight was firmly set on the bloodthirsty player. At last though, Carmaine had caught up and rode right next to her guildmate, but rather than attempting anything at that moment she instead chose to keep riding forward, placing a sizeable enough distance between herself and Egaloth. She wasn’t about to strike at her friend right there and then without warning, despite everything that was happening the last thing Carmaine wanted was to injure Egaloth, all that she wanted was to avoid the destruction of the village. Once the distance was ample enough Carmaine brought her mount to a halt. Without warning she drew out her sword, the blade igniting with a blistering flame once it was off its sheath. Still atop of her horse’s back, Carmaine pointed the sword directly at Egaloth, ready to strike should the cursed knight chose to ignore her warning. “Not a single step further, Eggie. I am not about to let you destroy the first source of information we ran into. Don’t make me do this, dude.” Carmaine’s tone and expression were grim. Countless times before had the duo sparred, the results usually landing in a firm 50/50. If that coinflip had to be taken right there and then though, all that she could hope for was for it to land on her side.

"If it deems necessary to use force, you have my permission to do so. Don't go overboard though, I don't want to have to plan a funeral today." Fritz wasn't joking when he said that. He didn't know if resurrection spells still worked the same way as in the game and he didn't want to risk it. Fritz wasn't aware of which direction they went, but Penny came in to save the day. "Excellent Penny, you will always remain as one of my favorites." Fritz said, levitating higher to see if he could view the village from this position. He could barely see it on the horizon, but it was there. He lowered himself again and gave a final address to the trio. "Empyrean isn't as rash as the other two but keep an eye out for all of them. Let's hope we're not too late."

Fritz propelled himself forward in the direction Penny had pointed, feeling the wind almost take his hat off. "Gotta remember to hold it down now..." The demon mumbled to himself, holding his hand on his hat. The village was slowly coming into view and so was the miscreants that set off alone. It seemed Carmaine had already intercepted one of them and the other was going to soon as well. "Hmm... Penny did say Empyrean was here as well.." His gaze searched around for his figure, not being able to find him on the ground. It was only when he looked towards the sky did he spot his figure. It looked like he was observing the village as if they were animals in a zoo. "That's unsurprising.." Fritz didn't know his intentions, but as long as he made no movement towards the village, he wasn't a danger.

Fritz landed on the ground, a distance from Egaloth and Zagreus as they approached the village. "If we are going to attack the village, we are going to do it my way."He said to himself, holding his hand out. "Come forth HELLHOUND!" Fritz shouted; a demonic dog creature being summoned before him. He did this a few times, though paused for a second as he did so. At this point in the game, he'd get an error message for having too many summons. Since there was no message to be had, it was possible to go over the limit. Let's create a few packs shall we..." Fritz popped out hellhounds as if it was a factory, stopping once he was satisfied. By the time he was done, he had 100 hellhounds under his command.

This was where the fun begins, "Round up the villagers!" Fritz shouted to the hounds, watching them stream away towards the village. If he could round them up, he could ensure their safety from the more unstable members. Then the village would be under their control, and he could oversee it with a more moral attitude. All Fritz had to do now was hoped it worked and that Egaloth and Zagreus could be tamed.

Thoughts of how she was riding along where the furthest from Keiseikeikoku's mind, the comfort and relaxing bouncing just had a smile to her face distracting her from how in the favour of the now. Besides its not like there were any such mounts to compare them to in the overcrowded megaopolis she used to call home, and outside a few collectors and zoos the countryside was too toxic or barren for them to survive either. The closest she came was a few dozen plush gifts that littered her bed at home, and now she thinks about it she could likely add the same to her new bed if she wanted or get one of her other entourage to get to work on some should they also still be around.

Thinking back to her NPC's in general it was likely a given that Vert and Rouge would be sticking to her like glue, though as for the others she honestly would need to check when they get back. If they moved too Federica would be found somewhere getting into trouble, Shirely asleep in or IN the gardens, and the rest scattered doing whatever she had written for them to do, which she was struggling to recall in all the excitement but that was something she could focus on later.

Keeping up with Carmine, her golden lockes would be flying a good distance behind her with the wind in her hair. another pleasant sensation as they were heading to a situation that might be not so pleasant. Her lips would curl upwards further in her smile as she listened to Carmine speak, patting her own neck before she responded.

"Yeah i hope she remembers a few of the finer details given everything that transferred, Golden blood might seem enticing but the whole divine vessel thing may have her sensitive constitution taking exeption to sipping on that. But yes, full eight ball lottery win ten times over but its not like there is any amount of cash that could buy a makeover like this"

Her expression turned more curious noting Carmines sudden change in demeanour though "I mean, Its not like your suddenly going to forget all morality right just because we jumped to a better life, right?...." she keeps her gaze before going a bit more nevrous "Right? I mean just because you get handed a gun doesnt mean the first thing your going to want to do with it is shoot up a...." she pauses once more in thought her eyes widening having finally realized, panic seeming to set in "Crap baskets, we have a bunch of schizophrenic edge lord man children each with their own big red button"

Giving her mount a bit of a kick it redoubled its speed and Keiseikeikoku herself began spamming buffs like crazy, setting of bright golden flashes as she did. "Ok lets see erm, dammit why couldnt we have our macro's move too!...Greater Sanctuary!, Maximized Mana Shield!, Aspect of the Dire Cheetah!, Haste!, Shield of Faith!, True Blessing!, Divine Guidance!, Foreseight!...." As she continued to call out spells and their speed increased time and time again among other enhancements. Koku really was trying to get everything they could out, recalling the names of so many spells was a nightmare, almost as much of a pain as recalling the names of all her tier subs.

Taking flight she would stand up atop her mount, right as the speedy fluffball's feet left the ground, running into the air with a trail of golden light and dust in its wake, her maids jumping from their own mounts and following along with summoned angelic wings. "Vert, Rouge....diplomacy first of course but be ready to bind just in case we need more time" The maids looked at each other and seemed to meld into new forms, the outfits shifting away to display a disturbing amount of leather, or maybe not enough given its placement. Blinking Koku cursed herself, she should have been more specific with the whole binding thing, It didnt help that they each now had whips at their side, why the heck did she even give them Dominatrix....oh right, the subs. Shaking her head from the distraction she tried to push it from her mind from now as she shot across Zagreus's path and came to a sudden halt, game face now on.

Music began to play as she began her performance like a angelic choir, a bright shining glow now being visible from the village as her voice echoed along as well, along with golden feathers of light seeming to fall to the ground from the sky "Take heed devil of abyssal war, no harm should come to the innocent. By the light of Delphine they will be saved!" the theatrical display quickly ending as she lets the mask slip off and her voice goes back to normal "Hey yeah, i came over too, can talk about all that later, Look Zaggy, Baby, This world is like our new house right?, So can we please not just trash it before we even properly moved in? If you want to get some energy out we can put on a show but seriously. if this is all real going on a rampage down there is like killing real people right? We play bad, but were not that bad? drop the roleplay for a second and lets deal with this properly, I swear its going to be far better in the long run." she debates something before smirking with a wink "Plus are you really gonna let on little internal demon mess things up? I mean your self control isnt that bad is it? So heres the deal, Im going to pretend to drive you off, gain the praise of the Village down their as a savior that we can use to build off, and then we can talk about this all later in a nice calm setting," She gives a big grin, before going back to her booming voice and show for the villagers below, noticing familiar hounds and the rest with a wince.

"Divine Ritual, Protection of the Goddess, Come Forth Angels and Servants of her light to protect in your warmth! Noble Trinity Hounds! Knight of the Red Heart Rose..." dammit, she needed a fluffed up term for Adelheid "Mage of the moon and stars, bring forth your followers in my name, Monarch Keiseikeikoku!" she threw up another burst of light that would flash over the others at the same time to try and make the villagers see them as the same group before stopping to take a breath.

Upon hearing Fritz's approval, the half-golem knight immediately nodded and responded with an acknowledgment of that order. "It will be done, my lord.". Now he just needed to know where his targets were. Fortunately, Penny was able to immediately locate them with her spell. While Tempesta suggested using her mount, he had a much faster method of travel, and given the seriousness of the situation, he decided that it was time to skip the pleasantries. "I can cover more ground alone. I will drop a teleport beacon once I reach the area." He explained to both Tempesta and Penny. It wouldn't be the first time he used this tactic, in fact, he often used this method to flank opposing armies or raiders. Hopefully, Tempesta and Penny would be patient enough to wait for the signal.

"Mimic: Rocket Wings." He commanded, prompting his cape to immediately shift shapes into two silver wings with organic thrusters. They were the wings of a Valfalk, a dragon with rocket-like wings, capable of traveling at hypersonic speed. Perfect for traveling long distances, not so much for stealth missions. The knight leaped upwards before letting the power of the wings carry him forward, causing a noticeable "boom", the breaking of the sound barrier. While flying, he would recite a few buffs, in case things do go south and the need to fight his guildmates arises.

From the skies, he could see that Fritz had already summoned a horde of hounds towards the village. He wasn't exactly sure what his plan was, but nonetheless, he had his objectives. Upon arriving in the area, the knight would immediately stop mid-air, throwing the teleport beacon spear into the ground, allowing his allies to use it as a checkpoint. He hovered over the area, staying between the village where Fritz was and his other guild mates. There were more of them than he thought there would be. From what he can see, there were two opposing groups, one who wanted to harm the village and the other wanting to protect it. Based on what Fritz had told him, Zagreus and Egaloth. And Penny had mentioned Empyrean was there was well.

The golden armor was a bit much for his taste, but then again, his gothic-styled knights were not for everyone. But now was not the time to discuss fashion.
"Cease all hostilities." Eschaton's voice boomed, capable of being heard by everyone in front of him. In all honestly, he didn't know he could do that. "Egaloth, Zagreus, Empyrean. You are all required to return to the guild at once." Despite the severity of the situation, Eschaton's voice remained calm and polite, showing no fear, no hesitation in what needed to be done. And if it came to it, he was more than happy to show them why and how he is a top-ranked PVP player. He was fairly confident he could win a straightforward fight. However, Fritz's condition of taking them in alive would make it exceptionally harder. Though it's not like he wanted to kill them anyways.

Apart from the trio, he also noticed the jarring musical number performed by Koku's entourage. He knew she liked to make an entrance, but was this really the right time to do this. Nonetheless, he appreciated her attempt to defuse the situation with her words. Afterall, she was a charisma oriented character.

The other member was Carmaine. While she too used her words at first, its clear that she was much more willing to throw hands with these fellas, not that he blames her. He has seen their fights in the past, it was always a 50/50 but as long he was here to tip the odds, the fight should go their way.

From a tactical standpoint the trio were probably outnumbered and outgunned if the right moves were made. The odds were not in their favor, though thats not to say it would be an easy victory if they were to fight.

Empyrean

1660923781509.png

While he floated in the sky high above the village, Empyrean caught a glimpse of a host of their guildmates coming this way. It seemed the demons had told the truth and for that he was glad. He wanted to take action against the village, but for the sake of not being made the black sheep in the guild, he would not, yet. Keeping his eyes on what was developing between the demons and the other guild members, Empyrean was now more curious about the results of their fight, should they choose to engage in combat. "What will you two do now?" Slowly he floated away from the center of the village and closer to the gathering of familiar face. However, he stopped when he saw the small army of Fritz had summoned. Hellhounds. His goal couldn't be to destroy the village because if that were in fact his desire, he would have let Zagreus and Egaloth do as the please.

"A round up?" He spared a glance back at the village and the people that wandered around within. For a workforce perhaps or more likely, information. "How dull." Asking NPCs about the new world was a boring way to gather intel and would be a boring spectacle as well. Then came Eschaton, insisting that they return to the guild hall. While he wasn't in the habit of taking orders, Empyrean also wasn't interested in fighting outnumbers against foes that were on the same level as himself. That would be a pain.

His golden wings glistened in the sun as he descended just over Egaloth and Carmaine to be within talking range of the rest of the group.. It might not be the best idea, but he would follow Egaloth and Zagreus' lead. If they chose to fight he wouldn't participate, but he would offer them some support as a healer. Watching the guild clash against one another would be just as informative as watching the demons devour the village.

“Master Zagreus we have company” Umbra said to her Demon Master. Zag turned around to see his guild mates rushing towards him. A face of disbelief followed by one of confusion as he saw Fritz begin to summon hell hounds. What the fuck is this short stack doing this time. “..Round up..” was the only thing that he heard before he saw a swarm of hell hounds rush towards him and the village. Has this fool gone crazy? If he didn’t want me to enter the village he should’ve just used his words. Not wanting the hell hounds to attack any of the villagers, Zagreus began to cast some of his elemental spells. he backflipped and shot fire out of his feet and hands directing his flames at the hellhounds killing a few of them. “Umbra, protect the villagers. I don’t know what Fritz is up to, but make sure his new pets don’t kill anyone.” Zag then cast another spell to deal with more of the dogs.

Screams of a young woman came from behind Zagreus; She was being cornered by one of the hell hounds. He flipped into the air and landed on top of the hell hound; punching it once in the back of the head shattering its skull, killing it instantly. The woman was shocked, unsure if she should thank her hero or be scared to death of him because of his appearance, resembling a demon-like humanoid. “Hey don’t be scared..” he reached out to help her up. “.. my name is..” realizing he shouldn’t tell this lady his real name he decided to give her a fake one. “..um.. I’m Cerberus you can call me Cerb.” Nervously, she took his hand and thanked him for saving her.

A booming feminine voice blasts over the village. “..If you want to get some energy out we can put on a show but seriously. if this is all really going on a rampage down there is like killing real people right?..” He was at a loss for words. Wait, who said I was going to kill people? I just wanted some blood for my new hunger. Why was he the bad guy? His guildmates were riding on mystical creatures and flying in like it was normal to the people of this land. At least he walked here. Also, he didn't.. summon a pack of hell hounds to scare the villagers to death. “..Plus are you really gonna let on little internal demon mess things up?..” I can control them, ..mostly. I want them to shut the fuck up so I can think. Now I’m in a ‘PVP” match with my whole guild minus crazy 1 and crazy 2. "Divine Ritual, Protection of the Goddess, Come Forth Angels and Servants of her light to protect in your warmth! Noble Trinity Hounds! Knight of the Red Heart Rose…Mage of the moon and stars, bring forth your followers in my name, Monarch Keiseikeikoku!" Zagreus shot flames out of his feet projecting him up into the air. He grabbed Kuko by the arm with one hand and with the other he snapped one of the small magical hourglasses that he farmed for, during a summer solstice event. The item would freeze time for everyone except the person casting it and anyone they were touching. “Okay.. so… since I have you alone for a few minutes, let me explain.” He elaborated that he isn't trying to kill anyone. He just wanted to collect the blood from the bodies that Egaloth killed in his blood rage. “..So if you want me to play the ‘bad guy’, sweetheart, then in 5 seconds hit me with a low tear light spell that can knock me back.”

A moment later, Zagreus got hit with a beam of light that crashed him into a small shed-like building. “I told her a low tear spell…... She is lucky that she is hot” He said under his breath as he got up from the pile of rubble. "Egaloth, Zagreus, Empyrean. You are all required to return to the guild at once." Zag cupped his hands around his mouth to make his voice louder “Zip it… Easter Island Head; Im fighting my dear lady and would like for you to respect our duel.” Zag overheard Empyrean's offer on being the support of his “battle”, but Zag just wanted to put on a show and get as far away from the village before everything got out of hand. “I wanted to use this new body, but I never plan on ‘killing’ the villagers. I just want some blood that didn't taste so bland. How about we play along and test our new bodies out at the same time.” Before the priest could answer his arrogant teammate, Zagreus used his flames to fly again. He flew at Kuko, trying to go for her legs in order to pull her off her mount and away from the village. He spoke so only she could hear him. “Tell me when we are far enough away from the village.” He winked. Zag gabbed her legs pulling her off the mount, trying not to hurt Kuko that much. He dragged her through the air away from everyone else. Anyone that watched Zag PVP before, would know that he clearly was holding back. “Sorry if this hurts, I'm still getting used to this body.”

ADELHEID BACH
W/ CARMAINE & EGALOTH

Adelheid nodded eagerly at Carmaine's command. "Of course, right away!" Adelheid grinned, watching as the dark knight rode into the horizon until suddenly—the sorcerer's smile disappeared. A high tier protection spell was a waste of Adelheid's MP if it were used on some negligible, low-level village. Instead, she felt as if her talents were better suited as an insurance, should the opposing trio attack her guildmates rather than the village. If the situation was resolved through words rather than by force, the barrier would have been for naught. Though while Adelheid held no desire to cast the barrier herself, she knew of another way to accomplish her mission.

"Hey, I'm not sure if I remember the spell so..." Adelheid's voice trailed as she turned to what she thought was Fritz, but instead was an empty dirt road. Evidently, her guildmate had already split off from the party, eliminating her odds of pawning her task away. A wave of disappointment and annoyance washed over her as she turned once more, now focusing on the nearby village. Unfortunately enough, it seemed as though the barrier could only be cast by her hand. So, with a hearty huff, Adelheid silently recasted her flight spell, soaring towards her goal.

Eventually, the sorcerer was hovering over the village. Adelheid lifted her right palm, such that it faced her target, and with words void of any enthusiasm, she called out the spell's name, "Greater Shield Wall!" Immediately, a glistening, translucent blue dome encased the otherwise mundane village, allowing for a level of protection against the assault of her guildmates. Though given the strength of her fellow Enigma Guild members, she had doubts it would be enough. With the spell complete, she began to focus on those around her. By now, Zagreus had flown off with Koku, insisting he didn't intend to harm any of the villagers. To some extent, Adelheid believed the half-demon. If he truly intended to harm them, he would have done more to Koku than simply fly her away. So instead, the sorcerer made a beeline towards the standoff between Carmaine and Egaloth.

As Adelheid eventually found herself by Carmaine's side, she dispelled her flying spell, joining her in her stand against Egaloth. "Egaloth, can we please go back to the guild hall?" she whined in a sharp and irritated tone. "We all have better things to do than waste our time here." She addressed the situation as if she were a child begging her parents to take her home. While Adelheid was apathetic towards the affairs of the village, she heavily valued her own time—something that was being eaten away by her impulsive, murderous guildmates.

Tempesta raised her eyebrow and turned to look at Penny as she pointed in a direction. Absolutely perfect, everyone was settling into their skins so easily. It was almost like second nature at this point. "Empyrean?" so he was online when the game had shut down. I do wonder where that man was hiding.( Spoiled Bread Spoiled Bread LadyOfStars LadyOfStars ) While hearing this, she overheard Fritz basically giving the group the A-Okay on using force if it had come down to it. He then praised Penny for her work, which yes, she did do a good job and usually gets right onto what needs to be done with no time wasted. ( Slav Slav ) Her crimson eyes shifted to Fritz, taking note to watch for all three of the men that were out there already. Who knows what they'd do had we not been here. she thought. Giving a firm nod in affirmation, she began to shift Cerberus in the direction in which Penny had pointed. In the process, Eschaton decided to jump off and claim he'd be able to cover more ground. Oh really? This is Cerberus, the Cerberus. He's a large mount and a dog at that. How slow does he believe this animal is? in a way, she was almost offended at his words. ( TreasureSniper TreasureSniper )

After mentioning a Teleport Beacon, the vampire was not going to sit around and wait for that to be placed. Once he had taken off, she spoke "Hold on, Penny. Tightly." with that, she commanded her dog forward and he took off at full speed. In fact, she had to hold her own hat so it didn't go flying off in the wind. Now, he wasn't like The Flash fast. But he was fairly a quick ride. The ground shaking no doubt underneath his feet and causing tremors. The village slowly but surely came into view and she could see plenty of her guildmates not only stopping Egaloth, but also stopping Zag ( leviohsa leviohsa StealthyShades StealthyShades ). While Empyrean himself was hovering, merely observing the situation. Of course he'd just be up there and watching things unfold. Despite being the last of the few to arrive, she could already tell that this was only the start of whatever was going to happen. There were Hell Hounds rushing into the town, surely not to hurt the villagers, right? Taking a few quiet sniffs of the air, there was no sign of blood being spilled. Thank God. Otherwise I think this would have been bad for someone like me. The woman stopped Cerberus not too far from the group who were already surrounding Egaloth. But where was Zag?

Hopping off the dog, she commanded it to stay as she put her hat back on. Koku wasn't around, which meant she was possibly going after Zag. Her light magic was definitely strong against the demons, so she could handle him just fine. At least, that was as much faith as the vampire put into her. ( All All ) Who else was missing? Taking a good look, it seemed everyone was on Ega. Carmaine, Fritz, Adel, and Esachton. ( Servant Servant Pyosimros Pyosimros ) I think it may be due to the fact that he's an actual demon class. He wasn't just like Zagreus who happened to get cursed. To get to the bottom of what happened so far, she thought it would be a good idea to maybe have a chat with Empyrean himself. Since he was currently tagging along with the two. Maybe he could give them an Idea of what was revealed "Empyrean!" she shouted, lifting her eyes toward the floating man "Could you come down here for a moment? I won't bite." So many voices. So many annoying voices.

Since when did his guildmates care so much about NPCs? These people, this world.. it isn't real, so why on Earth (Or wherever the hell they were) did they suddenly care about morality now? Did they suddenly forget what the premise of this silly game was? Egaloth had to admit, it stung a bit that his own teammates all decided to make him a target.

Egaloth fought many a battle for them. Always the brawn for their tactical agendas. Without a question, when playing the game, the cursed man always followed orders and would sacrifice himself for the betterment of the Guild. It was the name of the game as a berserker cursed knight, but, damn. A little bit of patience or understanding would've been nice.

Instead, Egaloth skidded to a halt, his fiery heels digging into the soft soil beneath him. His feet slid until his armor just barely tapped the tip of Carmaine's blade.

Traitors! Filthy traitors! The demon within him bellowed out, making his skull throb. They no longer deserve our allegiance! Peons! I will scatter their innards along these plains! Foul, loathsome little insects!

The insults kept coming, making Egaloth groan out in frustration, irritation bubbling up within him at a rapid rate. Nobody's words of warning were reaching the knight. The demon made sure of that.

Taking a stumbled step backwards, the demon sloppily slapped Carmaine's blade away from him. Resting his palms against his armored knees, Egaloth leaned forward, now hunched over and heaving at an increasingly alarming rate. As he breathed, his body began to grow larger and larger.
"God, just shut up, all of you!" The more he talked, the deeper his voice grew, indicating that he was beginning to enter his character's berserker mode.

"Damn it. I didn't want to do this yet!"

By now, Egaloth was towering over his guildmates, no longer taking on his human form. Instead, a pitch-black, ominous demon loomed over them. Egaloth began to chuckle, "At long last.." The demon stretched out his limbs, before stepping over Carmaine and Adelheid to walk further into the hound-infested village. The demon decided to deal with those traitors after getting a feel for his powers.

His movements were slow, but with each step he took, the ground beneath him shook violently, almost as if an earthquake was about to hit the area. Frightened villagers ran, hounds zooming past the demon to round up whoever was left in the unassuming town. The demon chuckled, his laughter reverberating through the buildings and out to the plains behind him, until he felt a slight stinging feeling on his back.

Egaloth abruptly stopped and spun around, looking down to find an NPC quivering in fear, a bow and arrow in hand.
"Impressive, little insect! A brave man like you will be a great appetizer!" Typically, the more kills Egaloth got, the longer his berserker form would last, so the demon knew that he needed to get to work, quickly.

Killing is exactly what he did. Leaning down to the now running NPC, Egaloth grinned maliciously. Pointing a long, sharp, index finger forward, the demon immediately stabbed the innocent man through the back with his talon-like finger. And in an instant, the man was thrown into Egaloth's mouth.

From one body alone, Egaloth could feel his energy surge, practically bursting with power that made him feel like he could conquer empires. Visually, a pulsing red light enveloped the towering demon.

"You know what? I think I'll ditch the dusty Guild Hall! In fact, I won't ever step foot in that god-forsaken castle again!" His demonic voice made the NPC's cower, "I didn't play this game to be the hero.." As he spoke, he grabbed another villager, dangling them in front of his guildmates before tossing them into his mouth like it was nothing.

Because to him, the NPCs were nothing.

Throwing his arms out, the demon's grin was unnaturally large, encompassing nearly all of his face as Egaloth began to throw his fists into buildings, watching them crumble and fall to the ground. And with a final roar, the demon let out a fiery blaze from his mouth, setting the poor village ablaze. At this point, Egaloth wasn't paying attention to his guildmates. All he cared about was prolonging the feeling of such intense power that was coursing through his veins.

Penny
Location: Outside

Holding tight just as she was instructed, Penny thought that she would cling for her dear life during the ride. Unexpectedly for her, while the beast was indeed fast she had no problem holding onto its fur. Her grip was firm and her sense of balance was so good she didn't even feel bothered by the bumpy ride. Hesitantly, Penny raised her hand and took off both her veil and gas mask. She wanted to feel the clear wind brushing against her cheeks. She couldn't hear much because the wind was rushing past her ears but the girl briefly closed her eyes and indulged herself in a short moment of bliss. Unfortunately the giant dog was too fast that Penny couldn't enjoy the wind more. She let out a subtle sigh and get off from the mount. She wanted to feel the wind again later with her wingpack.

Penny wasn't concerned with the fate of the village or the NPCs there so instead of taking a side like her guildmates she simply scanned her surrounding to gather some information. There's not much interesting landmark around so her sight naturally attracted towards the village. Her sniper's vision gave her enough clarity of the village even from the distance but she took a step further by activating another of her skill.

"Mark targets."

A crosshair appeared on her right eye as she activated the skill. In the game it would simply let her marks any eligible shooting target within the range of her current weapon so she could follows it up with another skill. Here, it seemed the function stays the same but the sensation of having more than three hundreds marks appearing on her vision was, once again, overwhelming. She also noted that the skill also marked her guildmates and Fritz's hounds, which mean friendly fire was a possibility in this world.

For a moment she was pondering the idea of obliterating the village herself, just to stop the brewing conflicts between her guildmates. Since the village seemed like something that can be find in the first area of most RPG, it would be reasonable to assume that each NPCs would probably had low level. Considering that, her current gears and the skills in her avatar she should be able to kill every villagers there in... 1 second. Of course that's all just a thought, killing a bunch of low level humanoids would be a massive waste of her karma.

Her train of thought was cut when something unexpected happened. Egaloth, for some reason decided to enter his berserk form. She found it weird, if he wanted to fight Carmaine he should reserve that for the right moment. She watched curiously as the towering demon approached the villagers and when an NPC decided to poke him with a bow, the only thought that crossed her mind was how fucked that NPC would be. She didn't expect that much blood to came out when Egaloth stabbed him. Actually, she didn't expect blood at all. She used the creator tool to make her game blood free. Once again she was reminded that the current world was pretty much real and the realization made her feels really uncomfortable. The sniper's vision perk that allows her to see details from afar now enabled her to see the gorefest that was her guildmate dropping a human into his mouth in maximum resolution. She had seen a lot of death but this was her first time witnessed someone being eaten alive. It was repulsive.

"Messenger." Casting a simple spell, Penny tried to make a psychic connection directly into Egaloth's minds but all she could hear from his mind was a maniacal laughter of a demon before he disconnected the spell. She just wanted to give him some warnings but it seems he didn't want to talk with words, then the only options would be to talk with bullets.

Opening her item box, Penny pulled a particularly bulky white round with intricate engravings around it. It looks more like an expensive porcelain than something that would be slotted into a gun, but that's what she did. After the bullet was loaded she aimed her golden rifle towards Egaloth. Once again she tried to reach him with messenger but he didn't respond. She exhaled a long tired breath from her mouth.

"So be it. See you in resurection chamber." She squeezed the trigger and launched the white round towards the big demon. The bullet slightly arched downward and silently buried itself into the demon's right thigh. A moment later holy energy emanated from that part and a blinding explosion occured. Although the sound of the explosion was drowned by the blood-chilling screams of the demon.
