Sir Roostervelt was a bit caught off guard by the sudden attack. "So crazy Necromancer has returned." Sir Roostervelt said to himself before using two rings on his finger, one to turn invisible and the other to teleport away to a safe distance to command his troops. As the ethereal wall of death passed the army of Magi-tech machines, Faust would notice it did very little to them (being the fact one instant doesn't work on things that are not "alive" and two constructs like these have a mild resistance to magic and very resistance to necrotic damage.).

Kodbromaal, who decides to start his fight with ruffly five Ultimas, was starting off strong will the element of surprise but shortly into it became apartment that the Ultimas were far tanker then Kodbromaal and could deal serious damage to him as well. Other parts of the battlefield were fairing better as the undead army and Faust mainly had to deal with Havoc's end more lower-tier machines who were mainly present to search the wreckage and guard the site. But of course, that would be changing soon.

...Mr.Faust... I have read the reports about you and this guild during the time pre-shutdown... And I got to say while our organization prefers to recruit fresh players entering this world, your guild was just too much of a pack of wild and impulsive idiots... Which is why I was happy when we destroyed your ship... Faust could here this message play in his head. ...But even with your faults, I do have to thank you for optuinity to get a promotion after getting the materials from your base and bring you undead skull back to Emporer Spector... Another message spell was sent delivering this message as portal began appearing onto the battlefield, with magi-tech soldiers walking out of them. Soon an army of ruffley three hundred magi-tech soldiers appeared. Though their equipment was slightly more geared to current battle as their bullets were enchanted with holy magic.

With these new soldiers in play, a large portion of Faust army seemed to outmatched and even Fasut, if hit by a holy bullet, would definitely be hurting from it. But that was not the last of the troubles. ...Mr.Faust I have good news... I have just gotten clearance to use a more recent addition to the guild for this battle... Now I good go into detail of its massive strength and power but those words are a lost on a man with your IQ... So instead I'll put it in simple words you would understand... another message spell stated as a massive portal appeared over the battlefield.

...Get pawned...

4a0bf622998efe9c7eee9536adcb1af2.jpg

It also has a mechanical collar around its neck.

A Massive dragon head and a small portion of its neck leaned out of the portal. It staired down at the battlefield, comparative of a god looking down at ants. After one look at the creature, Faust would rember the dragon as well known and powerful raid boss in the plane of fire, usually taking a party of fifty-plus level one hundred players to beat, and even then it was hard and grueling fight. While only having its head and part of its neck out of the portal it used its breath weapon to launched magma onto Faust army, cause great losses including some of the undead kings...

Inside the sleep oak inn, the elven innkeeper was cleaning things up after the short panic of a massive dragon flying over the city. He looked outside his front window as he swept the floors to see a shirtless man karate chop a child's forehead. The innkeeper quickly made his way to the window and opened it up. "What are you doing to that child? In front of my respectable inn no less, fucking degenerate human parent." the innkeeper complained to Adam.

Soon a small group a drow were escorted outside to grounds. There presumably the comrades of Drow speaking with Sweater already. "It seems my comrades are here, and so is my time to leave," the drow said looking to comrades with a smile. Then he looked back to Sweater. "I understand where your getting with this talk of peace and getting what without violence. But with that, you miss the point. It not about getting back what was lost, it about paying back the old debts for making use loose our land and make good on our deal with our goddess." the drow said walking over to his comrades. "Again I thank you for freeing me but if you do talk the side of the city-states, next time we meet I will not hesitate," drow said as he and men were escorted out of the city.

"Well as you can see, that is what the city-states are currently dealing with. If you want peace I do what I can..." The elven king said as he was mentally wrapped around Sweater's finger. "...But just some things are impossible, like taking a dragon hoard or quickly mending deep old infested wounds." Elven king added.

Faust Windfallow

Faust let out a 'tch' as he watched his Super-Tier spell pass through the Magitechs, dealing almost no damage. It didn't surprise him - machine-type mobs were mostly immune to necrotic damage, and what little hope of Faust taking his foe by surprise with the near-guaranteed instant-death was driven through the ground as well, having been trashtalked by his opponent over message.

Damn, this was going sour real fast. Faust didn't know how, but these pieces of shit seemed to have an inexhaustible supply of soldiers. No matter how many he nuked, several times more came to replace them. "Fuck, this is literally cheating," he moaned in great annoyance. However, his troubles wouldn't end there: shortly after the annoying voice in his head had momentarily ceased, a horde of roughly 300 of those Magitechs came for reinforcements, and upon first glance, Faust realized they had holy bullets. Though 300 was less than his army of undead, the advantage in range and element effectiveness made up for the difference by a mile, and within a short while, Faust's undead had already been reduced to about three-quarters of their original size. More than that, Faust had quickly realized after a quick scan that his Undead Kings were getting chipped down bit by bit as well.

Kodbromaal was not doing too well either - even though his armour was absolutely mind-boggling-ly overpowered, it somehow seemed that the Ultimas were powerful enough to tank Kodbromaal's insane damage output, while also putting dents into his own defense. However, what really sealed the deal was the appearance of an enormous serpent, and - "WHAT THE FUCK?!" Faust yelled out, genuinely shocked. "They have a fucking Raid Boss?!" The enormous Magma-Dragon spewed flames at Faust's summons, reducing his undead to ash within moments, and Skeleton King Alainon too - fell to the colossus.

"Fall back, FALL BACK!" Faust yelled at what remained of his forces. At that moment, the remaining undead fled, as did Kodbromaal who begrudgingly abandoned his fight with the Ultimas, reduced to less than a quarter of his HP, though - somehow, taking down two before his forced retreat. "Change of plans!" Faust declared; "Gate!" A vortex opened in the air, as Faust's forces began to retreat, save for Faust himself, and Gremory. "Oi, Gremory, I think I'm way over my head on this one. Give me a hand - take my Guild Ring, I need a few things from there. First, in Ragna's floor, he has this tome called 'The Glory of Science, and The Beauty of Magic'. He keeps a spare one in his desk drawer, the 'Timeout Cube' should be in there too. Next, I need you to go to my quarters, and retrieve 'Heart of the Deathgod'." If Gremory opened her inventory, she would find that the Guild-Ring had already been sent there.

With that out of the way, Faust turned his full attention to the fight at hand. He grumbled as he saw the 300-odd Magitechs attempt to run him down, opening fire on the Lich. "Ice Block." Faust began to spam the defensive spell, over and over again to shield himself from the onslaught of bullets, as he began to cast his counterattack. Suddenly, an enormous spire of pentagrams rose into the air, signifying that an immensely powerful spell that was at least super-tier was being cast. It would, of course, take ages, meaning Havoc's End had more than enough time to absolutely obliterate the Lich while he was casting, unless...

Faust opened his palm, to reveal a small, hourglass-like object. "Welp, here goes nothing." He murmured, as he clenched his hand and...

"Grand Catastrophe!"

In an instant, a cataclysmal AOE came down, quite literally wiping most of the Magitechs off the face of existence. "Seriously, you guys didn't code an anti-kiting algorithm or something? You guys gotta do better than that, I thought you studied up on me? Honestly, I don't know if I'm flattered or insulted." With the inconvenience of all the small mobs out of the way, Faust turned toward the Raid-Boss: Desor, the Magma Dragon. He remembered it well - especially it being a pain the ass to beat - his normal routine of just 3-manning the raid didn't quite work, and it took them an eternity to find party members who were fine with clearing the raid while being under-manned. And being more of a pain in the ass to beat than Kodbromaal aside, Faust didn't have find memories of the boss due to its horrendously badly-designed mechanics, and cheap tricks that made it feel like the devs didn't quite put any effort into making it. For the time being, Faust could only go on the defensive. "Take notes, you mentally braindamaged love-deprived parentless hentai-loving ******s, this is why you can't beat me, even if you refuse to 1v1 me because you're all literally trash," Faust spat in disdain at Havoc's End, as he reached into his inventory and retrieved Pancalibur.

"Let's dance, fatass!" He screamed at Desor, in an attempt to draw aggro toward himself.

Alice

Alice's blank eyes flickered lazily from the insects below to the important person beside her, to which her crismon eyes would light up in a happy glow. Once hearing the knight's declaration, that snapped her from her bliss-filled imagination and towards the small party. "You... how dare you!" Alice looked at the humans that dared to call her precious one a monster; her disdain was evident in her eyes as she looked down upon them. Even though her eyes were blank, those around her could definitely feel the bloodlust radiating off her body.

They who shared the same body had different personalities and different clothing to suits their own side, which influenced the people around them. The two personalities were each side of a coin, as long as they co-existed with each other no harm would be done to the other. Compared to Myu who held her emotions behind her smile, Alice was not one to back down at voicing her own opinions when it came to something she personally disliked. Alice didn't mind this over glaring fact, that eventually one day one of them might completely disappear; ending with their very being swallowed up by the original body and ceasing to exist.

For now she thought of herself as a "ghost" inhabiting this body. "Vail... do you want me to handle those magic pests? I will make their deaths painful since they have disrespected you, Master." Her voice lacked empathy as she referred to the humans as pests, rather than the powerful beings they thought of themselves as. Sadly she couldn't bring herself to deal with them in time, her spotlight was taken by Aurora and her own familiar Orochi. "It seems like there was nothing to worry about." In truth the young vampire had forgotten that there was another of their guildmates standing next to them, instead she had focused on her guild leader solely.

While watching the destruction brought upon by Orochi, Alice couldn't help but to feel bad that she couldn't drink any of that blood from the humans. Even though she thought of them as mere insects, the fact still stood that she needed their blood partly to live. Her blood was still boiling inside but she was holding herself back from making a complete fool of herself in front of Vail.

Putting her hand to her temples for a moment at the turn of events she could already tell this entire ordeal would be a headache, the Drow so obsessed with the revenge part that they sold themselves away to another most likely, such would make it difficult as anything else than some serious charms would work and even then do so to the entire population with this goddess around would not only be futile but also earn the ire of the race for trying such. So now she had to come up with something. be it putting the object of their revenge out their reach and hope they give up at the futility...something that would likely take some time if they ever did, convince them that justice was in fact served, or hammer through the result of the path chosen.

"I see, as I said i prefer no side, though I suppose the desire to pay back old debts by increasing such as well as more to another seems counter to the entire prosperity of your people though in time one of us may be granted the wisdom to truly understand. Yet for the moment i see blood beget blood and on and on will the cycle continue until one runs dry and the remaining far emptier for the efforts"

She gives a faint bow as they leave but the ideas are still turning within her mind of how to handle all this;
Separating them by an impassible barrier just seems like it would have it fester
Mixing the two would cause infighting...
Done so with a new generation of such in a more physical sense? well resentment could be compounded on that new race and isolated on both sides not to mention the time such would take
Her Fantasia? though to do such to two entire people would take equally as long or a prolonged ritual preparation maybe? who knows what this new world holds so such a utility may exist when combined despite overall the strength being lacking.
Removing one of the races in a fashion is the inevitable solution if no action is taken, but perhaps if it is chosen how to occur with tact there may be a way to do so without any loss.

Shelving the topic, for now, she turns back to the king in general as he speaks, putting on a somewhat wounded face, traces of vulnerability and pain in her expression with a tilt of her head into an open palm, moving an eye towards him

"Nothing is Impossible within this world should one be willing to pay the price. Be it time, effort or another sacrifice...it does wound my heart so though to see the prospect of such waste and ugliness perpetuating" looking for a moment now at the far calmer dragons and mind turning towards the next step. "I will need some time I think if you would not mind waiting a little longer for my efforts? Calming beings of great power and the revelations of such things atop of my recent travels can leave even myself slightly wearily" A hot bath, fine food, rest and enjoying these worlds now more realistic physicality would do a lot for her mood, she also needs to figure out a few finer parts of how their classes and items function now without the digital medium...yet more work, ugh.

  • Alastor
Interactions/Mentions: ChazGhost ChazGhost Continuing towards the manor Alastor would listen intently to Silvangold's words, each of them seemed somewhat calming to his mildly bewildered mind. He must have been part of a large wave if this had been the case... or at the very least something else had come through with him earlier. That explained why the small, angry girl and muscly gent were in the middle of that fountain. Staring to the ground as he walked, a scowl took over his face, this world was supposedly holding thousands captive- not just himself. YGGDRASIL had just shut down a matter of maybe a few hours ago if there were already people who had been transported here prior to that... had they come when YGGDRASIL was still active? That would be illegal on so many levels, the devs had to be out of their mind if they were testing this isekai-esque adventure on their players. What had been worse than that was that most players would likely have no clue about it either, how would anyone be able to reasonably explain their transportation into an in-game avatar and then another world.

Glancing up from the floor, back to Silvangold, his face now blank of expression. "Oh. Of course." Alastor offered a small bow before stepping a short distance away. Placing his back up against a nearby building he began to ponder yet again. Normally he'd look for a way to get back home or some sort of escape, but that didn't seem to be an option right yet. If anything, he would need to secure some sort of income, housing, and information to begin formulating a plan to escape. His lower lip served as the glutton for punishment, his teeth clenching it tightly with irritation. Glancing back to his guide, he noticed that the man was still seemingly conversing. "My first step then... I should find a way to make some coin. Perhaps there's a quest board or a guild around here." He muttered to himself as he scanned over the area behind them, he didn't seem to notice the guild outright. His attention snapped back to Silvangold as a summoning circle appeared before the man.

An imp? Ah, a messenger for the elven man. Pushing back off the wall he approached his guide again. "No need to ask for my pardon, I'm the one who's troubling you if anything. For that I humbly I apologize." His lips curved into a small smile, not one of joy, rather one of courtesy. As the two approached the gates Alastor immediately had his attention to that of the clockwork hound, its design appeared quite complex- granted he was probably far more challenging to understand. Turning his head to face the gate and what lay beyond caused a shift in Alastor's expression. A mild sense of amazement, "Quite the stunning home you have here. Given its visage, I take it you're rather well off in this world. Perhaps you married a duchess? Or a lady of the land?"

"So, essentially, we just got isekai'd. Nice." Guildenstern gave a sinister loli smirk as she contemplated the implications of this. "The VR equipment isn't advanced enough to simulate touch and stuff, and especially so since I bought a cheap Chinese knockoff, so..." Nodding, Guildenstern suddenly realized that being isekai'd was, in fact, not a good thing for her - not when their idiot self, Adolf Schulte, had logged to their joke account prior to shutdown. "Whatever, I'll blow this entire city up for XP or somethi-"

Guildenstern's thoughts and plots of mass destruction were interrupted with a sharp pain to the head - courtesy to Adam's karate chop. Shockwaves resounded through the air as Guildenstern's face was driven into the floor, leaving a loli-shaped dent in front of the poor innkeeper's shop. "OF COURSE IT FUCKING HURTS YOU IMBECILE!" Guildenstern yelled, enraged with blood dripping from her forehead. "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, YOU LITERALLY ALMOST PK'D ME, MUST FEEL NICE BEING LEVEL 100 AND BULLYING A 55, HUH?!"

After a short while of yelling, the innkeeper came along, seemingly disgruntled at the pair's ruckus. Guildenstern stared deadpan at the innkeeper for a brief moment before a (figurative) lightbulb lit above her head. Almost immediately, the girl began to tear up as she looked over at the innkeeper with beady puppy-eyes. "Big-brother keeps bullying me... And he always hits me for fun, and..." She began to cry to the innkeeper, and just generally attempting to create trouble for Adam.

Most of the Magi-soldiers were either taken down and the rest were in hibernation mode to self-repair from losing most of their health after the Grand Catastrophe spell hit. Though the rest of the Ultimas were still active and where just waiting and aim their weapons at Faust, waiting for the order to fire.

Desor attention was quickly drawn to Faust. It's rawr could be heard from miles around and was almost deafening close up. Desor then began spewing magma once more at Faust, which even with a miss could deal fire damage for just getting close to Faust.

Meanwhile, Sir Roostervelt appeared above Desor, being able to stand the heat barley with a magic ring of near fire immunity. "Mr.Moron today you fall with your army flee and you falling, by my hand proper gentlemanly hands. I am Sir Roostervelt, former guild leader of the Birdmen Gentlemen and now a high officer in the Havoc's End organization." Roostervelt said pulling out a straight sword from his cane hilt. "High holy enchantment!" Roostervelt said as his blade was enchanted with holy energy. "Now... Fire!" Roostervelt ordered point his sword at Faust as Ultimas below let loose an onslaught of magical bullets and blasts at Faust from below.

Still on the floor, Neire sulked that her invitation was rejected by the Beastman she met earlier, yet, curiosity filled her as a new guest appeared before her door

"..."

"What will you do, my mistress?"

The maid kept silent, but the Ghost, with a smile attached to her face, asked her creator the next step to take.

"My plan was to invite the beastman so we would have a nice detour in that town...but it seems my action picked the interests of someone else..."

I still don't know much about this world, that person knew about YGGDRASIL, so maybe there will be more like him

"It doesn't hurt to hear them first, but I have been bored as of late"
her face did not display any change whatsoever, but her tone did, almost as if she was mad "I will greet our guest first!" she stood up and jumped "you two be on standby in one of the empty rooms in this house, if I need you I will summon you"

"As you wish"

"As you wish"

Both creations agreed in unison, the ghost disappearing from sight, and the maid slowly walking out to a different room.

"well then!" She clapped her hands twice "You may come in, mysterious guest" She said to nobody, yet she knew they were listening to her talking. "But I suggest you pick your words carefully...you see...I am currently in need of joy, adventure, amusement!" she then kicked a chair that was laying down on the floor, smashing it to pieces "So do not be b.o.r.i.n.g"

Faust Windfallow
Sky Fortress Wreckage | Prince_ Prince_ ChazGhost ChazGhost

Faust was assaulted with barrages of magma - no, to call it 'assaulted' would be an undestatement, insulting both Desor's firepower and the Lich's self-inflicted ordeal. Of course, even the 'impulsive idiot' knew that he was in no way, shape, or form to be tanking. That said, he wasn't exactly tanking. "And this, is why you can't hope to defeat me." Faust muttered to himself, much quieter, with less certainty than usual. Two more meteors of flaming, hot dragon-puke were flying at him, and he had little margin of error. Raising Pancalibur, Faust's hands moved almost as if they had their own minds, colliding with the first enormous fireball, exploding upon contact, which sent the Lich flying several feet from his position.

"Shit." He cursed, regaining footing and continuing his game of catch with the Dragon. However, it soon became clear that even if he were to block the brunt of the damage, Faust still would not be able to hold for long, regardless. If only there were a way to bait the ringleader out. Any need for a plan, however, was completely foiled as the Raven-Birdman appeared of his own volition, on top Desor, rapidly drawing his blade and enchanting it with the Holy element. The Dragon's assault seemingly paused as Sir Roostervelt gave one of those classic villain introduction monologue things that Faust abhorrently despised. He let out a disinterested chuckle, lowering the frying pan, his dots of soulfire meeting Roostervelt's condescending, beady bird eyes. "Is that how we're going to do this?!" Faust yelled from below, "Guess it's my turn!" Pretending to clear his throat, Faust placed Pancalibur back into his inventory as he counterattacked with his own cringey introduction. "I am Faust Windfallow, member of the Mage Triumvirate, one of the Founders of the Gentlemen's Alliance, and The One Guy With The Frying Pan! Here and now, you will fear me as Death, Destroyer of Noobs!" Faust's last line was also complemented with the middle finger, making clear that the last insult was directly aimed at Sir Roostervelt.

However, in terms of following up on his oath of destruction, Faust fell flat on his face. Shortly after his mockery of Roostervelt, and by extension, Havoc's End, he was bombarded with a relentless onslaught of gunfire. Holy bullets pierced his body through and through, and when the dust settled, Faust was already on the ground, on all fours and visibly struggling to get up. He made choking sounds, like a human with their lungs full of water would. "AAAAARGH." Faust let out a cry of agony as pitch-black ichor spilled out from beneath his mask, soaking the ground. Though it was common knowledge that undead were vulnerable to Holy, that was especially so when it came to Faust's racial class, The Hinterland Overlich, who suffered seven times the normal damage from Holy than one normally would. It was already a miracle Faust was alive - but it was clear he was surviving off only a sliver of HP. If Roostervelt attempted to view Faust's MP, it would also show that it was near-depleted, with barely enough to cast a teleportation spell.

"Fuck." Faust cursed again, raising his head to face the Raven. "COME DOWN HERE AND FIGHT ME YOURSELF, PUSSY!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, coughing up more ichor in between his words.

He then shoots back up and walks back to the loli player and pulls out what appeared to be a golden apple, "Here......Take a bite and you should feel better." he tosses the apple gentle to the loli's hand and looks out to the bustling street as to make sure there weren't any guards in the area. "Oh, now you're acting all goody-two-shoes, dipshit." Guildenstern snorted as she brought the golden apple to her mouth, taking a generous bite out of it, chewing for a few seconds. "vis is ackchually khind ov ghood," she commented in midst her chewing. Before long, the entire apple was gone, core and all. Her headache subsided soon afterward, and wounds closed almost immediately. Next, she looked at the innkeeper apologetically. "Sorry, mister. Room for two, he's paying." She said, pointing backward at Adam.

Immediately afterward, she reached into her inventory and whipped out what appeared to be an enormous bottle of whiskey. Popping the lid off, she took a massive swig as she began to head inside the inn.

Apron and her giant friend looked towards Ignis, becoming aware of the fact they were still present. "Right, sorry! "Sorry, but the uhm...Head...angel needs us, says he knows you have this all under control. We're...needed somewhere else! Good luck!" Jessie stared at the zombie like she had lost her mind, but said nothing.

The young girl occasionally shouted out directions and corrections to their course as they made their way to her village, giving a soft whine as it came into view. It was still standing from the looks of things, but as they got closer, it slowly became more macabre. Buildings near the outside of the village had been completely burned down, or sides of them had been hacked out with something, likely an axe. Each desecration said something different, though all rather forboding. 'For Havoc', 'Praise Havoc', 'For the cursed god' were the more common ones. Seeing all of this, another choked cry escaped the girl. "My village....what did they do?"

The entire village looked completely deserted, the market in the center burned to cinders and charcoal wood, all life completely absent. But besides the outlying buildings, and the market, it looks like the village had never been inhabited...the church stood near the marketplace where everyone had been supposedly led, a massive white building that seemed to herald good will and peace. How sad, that it was now the silent observer to a ruined town.

The other party who was present (hunters and spirit forest syndicate members) were hidden from view, angled JUST right by the tree line to be hidden. Below him was the forest that had been inhabited by the spiders, treeline shaking every so often as something moved...likely the arachnids. To the east was a relatively small town, barely a speck on the land, too small to be a real city. As he hung in the air, ravens began to circle him in curiosity.

"Oh, bold words coming from a dead man. And before you say it, I'm calling you dead man because your an undead, no it's because I'm about to kill you. No respawns, no retractions. Nothing, Just your magma covered body." Roostervelt said not falling for Faust possibly trick of trying to egg him on to a possible trap. "Any further bold last words? Other than "It's burning" Roostervelt said as Desor charged up magma fireball and the Ultimas began circling around Faust blocking his escape.

As Pineclaw walked through the town, many races from goblin and lizardfolk to beastfolk and wood elf went about there lives, dodging Pineclaws steps. The city they lived in was home to a variety of different building styles, most likely do the variety of races living there.

As Pineclaw walked a wood elf poked her legs to try to get her attention. "Hey man, you know about plant right, sense... you are a plant?" the wood elf said tilting his head. "Anyways if you do I and fellow herbalist could use your help. During some recent attacks on the farm just outside the city the plants were damaged. Now I'm in the town to pick up some stuff to repair the buildings but if you can come and repair the plants, that be righteous man" the wood elf added hoping for help.

"Well shiiiiiiiiiiiit." Faust trailed off, whistling as he casually returned to his feet. Apparently, he had not taken as much damage as he had let on. Moreover, his MP immediately returned to a yet still high level. "Guess the bait didn't work. Good job, you're at least not a bird in the brain department," the Lich complimented the Raven, voice laced with sarcasm and a tinge of venomous disdain. "Plan B, it is." He muttered in a disappointed stupor.

The Ultimas closed in, and Desor began to charge one of its enormous party-wiping AOE attacks. Faust slowly raised his hands to the air, both middle fingers flicked out like a switchblade, only moments before Desor unleashed a wave of scorching magma, and the Ultimas opened fired. Their attacks impacted with Faust's location, kicking up an enormous explosion of smoke, dust and debris.

If any normal person had witnessed another normal person caught up in the attack, the death of the unfortunate victim was all but assured - scorched with such infernal savagery that not even ashes remained. And yet, neither the victim, nor witness existed under the realm of normality and logic - a high Officer of the third most powerful guild known to Yggdrasil, and a player who broke the rules of the game, and thus, neither Roostervelt could be absolutely certain of the Lich's death, nor would Faust accept such a laughable demise.

Perhaps Roostervelt could sense it, that Faust had most definitely evaded the attack, and above that, was already casting another enormous spell, evident by the immense mana that permeated the air, and the enormous spire of blinding light that was... only a few feet from him. Faust had cast Greater Teleportation, only mere moments before the attack's impact. Unfortunately for Roostervelt, such a maneuver, which would require unbelievable reaction speed was only made easier for Faust in the New World, where his garbage 200ms ping was a non-factor. However, with Twinspell Fury, he had simultaneously cast a second spell, and as evidently clued by the enormous circle, was his fourth, and final Super Tier. In his hand, he held another miniature Hourglass, which had been shattered instantly upon arriving at his desired location. Unfortunately for Roostervelt, Faust's APM was just too high. "Soulbond Duel."

Some form of ethereal tether chained itself to Faust and Roostervelt, for only a second, before both would completely disappear.

Actually, disappear wasn't quite right. Witnesses would still be able to see a floating red and blue mote of light, relative to where their positions would be in reality. However, Faust and Roostervelt would only see a grey reflection of what their surroundings would be, barred by ethereal walls in some sort of 'arena' that was only 80 feet wide in diameter. Furthermore, it would be evident that both their stats had been shifted - their stat totals had both been added up, then redistributed equally among all parameters. The spell would last four minutes, or until one of them were dead. Soon, Roostervelt would find himself facing the end of a frying pan. "I believe I've said this before. Let's dance,

The humans attention jumped to the new round of new faces, internally sighing...so much for a small group to do this then. "It is pleasant to make your acquientance, Centurion. Your aid is accepted, as is the rest of your party. We will fill you in on the information as we proceed...we are clearing out an ant infestation through use of poison and then using a queens pheromone gland to stave off further incursions against the city. I am Mira, and this is Ragem...Lady Jane, Lady Soma, I must accompany my companion as he goes about the routine of getting what he needs for the concoction. We will meet you outside the city, as for the rest of you...you may join us, or meet us on the outskirts." With that said, the duelist gave a brief bow, starting off with her dwarf companion, who was currently lost in thought...Was that a lord of the rings reference back there?...Was that another player then?

It had taken just about fourty five minutes to procure ingredients, have Irma convince the shop keeps to allow them to use them given the fact that...his coin was no good here it seemed since they had 'never seen of that kind'...definitely not in YGGDRASIL anymore then. After getting ingredients, he had spent time mixing together the vial concoction, putting it in correct containers, and just generally getting prep work done. Now, with all of that done, the human NPC stood ready, her dwarven creator at her side. "Bringing a lot o' people around for a simple mission...let's hope they're nae idiots." he muttered under his breath, waiting on the rest.

With the apparent player having finished her schpeal and Dean more or less calm, her own rage had calmed down...more so from lack of use than anything thus far. Walking over to the taller woman, she flashed her a brief smile as she grabbed her wrist in a not so gentle fashion. "Miss, you have such fine word craft...If his highness is willing, I'd like to speak to you and the fearsome dragon...alone." The unspoken words in her eyes were less than pleasant, but at least they weren't outright 'going to kill something' anymore. She frankly was still ready to slap Dean through a wall, and she wasn't sure what to make of this woman...probably bardic classes if she had soothed all of this so easily. The first sign of bardic touch on her though...and she was going to lose her temper again.

"Huh, you are still full of surprises, even when you on the verge of death," Roostervelt said readying his blade as Faust placed them into an arena. "But if you think you'll win with this, you are mistaken, illusionary clones!" Roostervelt said as he threw a smoke bomb from his belt down and created a smoke cloud. Once the cloud dispersed there were fives Roosterveltsuround Faust. Though based on the spell Roostervelt used, only one was real and the rest were fake, but it would be hard to tell which one was the real one. "So Faust who will you attack? Because if you attack the wrong one, the real one will slash you with a holy blade" the roostervelt said in unison.

The Lich snorted in response to Roostervelt's almost laughable attempt to perform some form of outplay. Moreover, any intention Roostervelt had to outsmart him was immediately undermined by the relatively long time it took for the smoke to disperse, and the further gloating and pointless talk. In Faust's mind, he had already conceived several options to respond to Roostervelt's illusory clones - he could cast Eye of God, granting himself True Sight to. Alternatively, he could simply nuke the entire arena with an AOE, or cast Sonata of Silence for the AOE dispel. He opted for the second option.

"Arcane Burst!" Waves of pulsating energy exploded outward from Faust's body, rippling through the air and dealing force damage scaling with the amount of mana poured into the explosion. Luckily for Sir.Roostervelt, Faust had only put a minute amount of mana into the spell, resulting in minimal damage output. However, dealing a large amount of damage was never the objective - he was after the visual effect of the spell. When the wave collided with a target, it would ripple and waver, whereas with illusions, it would pass straight through them.

Faust surveyed each 'clone' of Roostervelt intently, and immediately after noticing the arcane wave interact with one of the 'clones', or in this case, the real Roostervelt, he immediately followed up with a second attack, this time, undeniably aimed to cause large amounts of damage. "Judgement of Helheim." A ring of violet glyphs appeared in midair, forming a circle around Roostervelt, granting only a second of reaction time before dozens of pitch-black icicles exploded inward from the glyphs, aiming to literally skewer the target. Then, while Roostervelt would likely be preoccupied with evading, Faust cast Arcane Minefield on the ground near himself, to prevent Roostervelt from being able to make a direct all-in without taking large amounts of damage in the process.

From what Faust had seen thus far, he had deduced that Roostervelt was likely not very specialized in ranged combat - as firstly, an archer or mage wielding a sword is simply silly as swords that grant some sort of bonus to those classes are always suboptimal, and even downright bad compared to numerous other options, and secondly, Roostervelt himself had not cast a single ranged ability on him, despite likely having full leverage and safety to do so throughout the entire previous ordeal. Next was Roostervelt's entire asthetic - his whole 'gentleman' getup led Faust to guess that he had specced into some sort of Duelist class, and thus decided that it was for the moment, his best option to keep zoning Roostervelt until he deemed it safe to cast a single-target nuke, and reliably land it.

Alice

"Well that's not what I see you as..." Alice mumbled this under her breath as a faint blush appeared on her cheeks. She didn't see him as a monster that couldn't be loved, rather she saw him as a powerful being that she respected with all her heart. When Vail delivered this so called bard in front of her, she tried to keep her posture as respectful as she could under the presence of her leader. However this didn't stop the young vampire from clicking her tongue, and mumbling curses under her breathe, at the foul human in front of her. "Don't mind if I do." Alice quickly thanked Vail before turning to the fallen bard in front of her.

"Now, how about you choose your death? I tear those lips off your face before I rip your limbs off one by one. Or do I simply drain your blood before you can even blink?" Her face held a note of innocence as she asked such questions towards the scared bard. There was no way to conceal her bloodlust now as her eyes began to shine a bright red as she looked down at her victim. Let there be no mistake however she was fresh out of mercy; she only gave him the pretense of getting to select his death prematurely. Without even hearing an answer one by one Alice began lightly kicking the bard's arms and legs, applying minimum pressure to them but yet the bone still ended up breaking under her grasp.

This earned an mute cry from the bard as he screamed at the top of his lungs when blood began to pool out of his body from the bones shards piercing his skin. It was too bad that she couldn't hear his screams from the mute spell over him but that made it all the more enjoyable. There was a sense of pure joy on her face the more she continued to break his bones while seeing his mouth contort into soundless screams, the more she found pleasure in punishing the human more. By now the man was wiggling around in pain as he tried his best to crawl away from monster torturing him, only to no avail from the claw holding him in place.

"Scream more for me okay? Then maybe I'll grant you a quick death." Alice's shoes were covered in his blood as she smiled darkly at the man without even batting an eye at the carnage she was causing to his body. As such was the punishment for those that disrespected her precious one in her presence. In the end she simply decided to end the bard's suffering quickly, growing tired of his pale soundless screams in her direction. Extending her two sharp teeth and sinking them immediately into the human's neck, a warmth of blood flowed into her mouth as she began to suck out the living essence of his life force. When she was finished with drinking the remaining blood from his body, the bard was nothing more than a shriveled husk of skin and bones; it looked like a bigger version of raisins.

"Hm... not the best meal I've ever had. This was so bitter, I don't understand what these things eat in their spare time to make their blood taste so foul." Alice was visibly disgusted by the human blood aftertaste in her mouth. It was like she swallowed ten times the amount of vomit in one sitting, it didn't sit well on her tongue either. The only thing vaguely "happy" about the meal was her stomach; to which it let out a satisfied grumble after devouring that male's essence. Seeing as Vail was done on his side and coming to join them, she lightly used her sleeve to wipe her mouth clean from the bard's blood. It would be embarrassing to no end for him to see the aftermath of her eating habits.

"So what are we to do next?" Alice asked this as she took note of the map in Vail's hand.

"So the Counsel would like your help to defend the city if they attack and in return, we are willing to give you a king ransom worth of gold"

How desperate

"AhAhahaHAhaAhh..."
The doll simply laughed at the proposal of the hooded man, and shortly after, the house started to echo her voice across the rooms and hallways

"really now, I wanted amusement but this is better than I expected" she pretended to wipe tears from her eyes and suddenly her eyes were filled with killing intent

"But I hate fools too you know?" in an instant she jumped towards the man with the intention to clash on his body, but in a quick motion she tangled wires to the ceiling and her own legs and arms, holding her back by just a little of distance. Her body however, was raised enough for her to meet the hooded man's vision, in short, she was practically facing him almost as close to get a kiss. "Did you say help?"

"Yes he did!"
A new voice surged behinds Neire body, not only matching the exact tone of voice as hers, but also the same body. A dummy.

"Should we help?!" Another one appeared next one to the first, the same replica of Neire

"But why?" and yet another

"Will it be fun?" and yet another

"but we don't care about gold!"

"No huh!"

"We just want to have fun!"

More and more replicas were spawning behind Neire's tangled body, one of her skills allowed her to create dummies with the puppetmaster skill, and controlling them was just a simple trick.

"Fun!" "Fun!" "Fun!" "Fun!"
"Fun!" "Fun!" "Fun!"
"Fun!" "Fun!"
"Fun!"
"Fun!" "Fun!"
"Fun!" "Fun!" "Fun!"

"It seems we have reached for an answer Mr.Guest"
the tangled body said with a smirk "Time to di-"

"But wait!" Before the tangled body could finish, one of the dummies behind her spoke

"Maybe we can meet new friends if we are allowed to freely act in the city!"

"*gasp* What if one of their enemies will be fun to play with?"

"This house is boring!"

"A battlefield sounds good!"

"Lets just help them!"

"Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!"
"Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!" "Help!"

The dummies continued to chant the same word as they approached the tangled body

"What...?" Confused, Neire watched as the dolls approached her little by little, and in a quick motion they all created a small spear.

"We shall help the city until we please. But keep in mind we hold no promises or attachments to the welfare of the citizens!"

One of the dummies addressed the hooded man. After that all the dummies impaled Neire's body repeatedly until her body became a mess in the ground. Shortly after all the dummies collapsed on the ground.

"Kuku, do we have a deal then?" the broken parts of neire's body continued to speak, even with the mess her body had become by her own will.

After the wave passed through the illusions and interacted Roostervelt and his clones cursed under there breath. Roostervelt then activated his shoes, which were enchanted to give instant and speedy flight. Roostervelt then flew as fast as he could out the magic blast zone, only suffer damage from the outer radius of the spell. "Clever trick, but I have my own" Roostervelt said as the clone began running to Faust. "Holy enchantment," Roostervelt said as he enchanted the clones with holy magic, making enveloped in bright and holy light

Once any of the clones got close to Faust they would jump at him and try to catch off guard by exploding in a small magical holy burst of energy. On there own these explosions wouldn't do much damage but with Faust weaknesses and the number of the clones, Faust was in trouble.

The hooded took a deep breath and stayed mostly calm as the doll and its puppets began putting on a horror show. The man was still mildly disturbed but also annoyed. He had lived for many years and see many horrors in that time... And if this horror truly meant to kill then he would have at least know that his comrades would know his disappearance meant Neire was untrustworthy and needed to be dealt with, somehow.

"As long as you protect the city from these invaders, we will be good and you will get your reward." The man said trying to keep his voice calm, though there was uneasiness to it. "But if you also do your best and keep the citizen safe we can offer something that I think even peek your interest, entertainment," the hooded man said walking over to a window. "The clock tower in the center of town is a mysterious place and the few records have of the inside talks about how it's full of traps and clockwork beings patrolling and protecting its halls. It sounds like a place that might interest you, doesn't it?" the hooded man said turning back to Neire. "But the only way in is a key, and only one who knows of the key's location is the true master of this city." The hooded man said, thinking he now had the upper hand in the negotiations. "So you protect the city AND it's people, and then you get the key to a place where I'm sure you'll have plenty of fun. Deal?" the hooded asked putting his hand out to shake.

Centurion and Koshisuji
In collaboration with: Blackvelvet Blackvelvet
Do I know you from somewhere? was the question that flashed through Koshisuji's head at the moment. it had both surprised her and made her curious at the same time, because out of all the people in this world no one had recognized her up to this date, and the fact that she had taken the appearance of a real world idol made it seem like he was referring to said idol when he asked that, which meant he must have been from the real world. Along with the obvious LOTR reference and the quality of his equipment being top tier it was obvious to her that he was a former player, and a good one at that. She paused for a moment mulling over her next words very carefully. That's when the one named Mira spoke up, addressing the group that they would be going to pick up ingredients. Koshisuji looked towards the man, "You, come with me" She said, "I need help prepping and you look like you'd be alright, oh by the way if we are going to be getting in bed with each other you might as well call me Katelina, the two behind me are Meledy and Gloria" She said pointing to each of her companions.

Centurion was stood up paying attention to the group and what was going on, then the girl whom he had addressed earlier told him, no, demanded him to go with her. Her tone wasn't exactly the kindest but he could tell there was no ill will behind it, but he didn't let him self think about it too much ether. "Alright" he said as he proceeded to follow her. "So what exactly was it you needed help with, if you don't mind me asking" He asked as they found themselves outside of the ear shot of the rest of the group. "So you're from the real world too?" She said stopping in her tracks. "Yeah of course" Centurion replied bluntly. "Well than could you be any more of an idiot!" She shouted at him, "I mean, using your character name as your real name and dropping references that non players wouldn't understand here could possibly get you killed if not worse, and we have no way of knowing if we can revive here or not" She said, partially in anger but she was more caught up in the moment of finding someone else from her world. "Haha, I'm not the cautious type, I'd rather just do as I please. Oh yeah, now I remember, you look like that idol whose name I can't seem to recall" he said. "Yeah, I was a fan of her so I made my character look like her" Koshisuji responded, "Well at least I found someone else who got sent over, even if he is a total idiot".

Walking up to the site where they were set to meet the the pair, accompanied by their companions made their approach near Ragem and Mira. "Yo" Centurion said as he approached the two taking a seat on a near by rock. "So I haven't really heard the whole plan yet, though I'll probably just kill what needs to be killed to be fair" he said. His companions, who stood near by, seemingly simultaneously sighed. "Oh, Gloria undo the spell you used on me and Meledy, if we are going to be working together we might as well be open now before the time on the spell runs out" Koshisuji said and with that he horns and wings reappeared as did Meledy's wings. "Yeah so I'm a demon and she is a fallen angel, hope you don't hold anything against either of the races" she said, seemingly more open before, mostly due to her relief that that was someone else like her in this world. "As for the plan as mentioned by Centurion we know the goal but how are we going to clear out the infestation with poison and how are we going to go about getting the Queens pheromone gland?" she asked.

"Ararara" Neire said as strings started to band together with others, slowly grouping her body parts and attaching them together. "Now that is something interesting!"

With the bottom half of her gone, all she could do was to raise her body with one of her arms, her face wasn't still completely repaired, revealing the hollowness of her head.

"Gold? No...! but that key does sound intriguing so I will play along"

With her legs barely fixed, she stood up "Just keep in mind that you know what will happen if you do not fulfill your part on the deal yes?" She grinned, yet she said that without any malice, a simple remark.

Faust WindfallowThe Shadow Realm | ChazGhost ChazGhost

The atmosphere around Faust lit with diabolical delight following the simultaneous cursing of the Roostervelt clones. Cursing, after all, didn't seem quite gentlemanly and in Faust's eyes, causing Roostervelt to break character, even if in an inconsequetial manner, was a indicator that he was applying sufficient pressure onto his adversary. Good, a little more and he'll break.

In his mind, Faust let out a silent cackle that echoed in his skull, reverberating through his bones and filling his empty heart with a rush of pure excitement, and savage bloodlust. "Dumbass," the Lich spat following Roostervelt's pathetic, and possibly panicked excuse of a counterattack, extending both hands outward, raising them in the air, as if welcoming the dastardly, illusory, stomach-churningly holy suicide bombers. The first dived at Faust, its illusory surfaces cracking like glass exposed to sudden, sub-zero temperature. Rays of blinding light shone through the crevices that had now enveloped the surface of the illusion before bursting into a brilliant flash of holy, purging light, so great in its divine enormity that it would be difficult to notice ebon mist manifesting around Faust, coagulating into a protective layer around him, sparing him from a portion of the Radiant damage; the buff Body of Black Mist, which provided a flat percentage damage reduction from Radiant damage, and also completely nullifying the first sum of Holy damage dealt to the caster. Moreover, there was a good chance that beneath the Lich's jet-black lay hidden one, if not several rings of Holy resistance, and perhaps even a Ring of Holy Immunity. That being said though, his racial class also came with a crippling detriment that immunity against Radiant from equipment would be changed to a flat resistance.

Two more Clones were able to collide against Faust as he presumably either prepared a counterattack, or writhed in agony. It would soon be found, likely to Roostervelt's dismay, to be the former as a ring of black glyphs extended outward, with Faust at the epicentre. "Purge of Silence!" Upon colliding with the Clones, they would be immediately dispelled, and after colliding into Roostervelt, he would also find himself under the 'Silence' status for three seconds. Following the three seconds of silence, the channel for Faust's second spell would be completed in the nick of time. "Domain of the Frost Monarch!" An enormous ring of runes that covered almost the entirety of the arena. From the ring's epicentre, a rotating orb of what appeared to be ice exploded, sending icy mist in all directions, which quickly gathered into snow, forming a blizzard of snowflakes sharp as razors, spinning in an icy maelstrom, like a tempest of blades, dealing a distressing amount of slashing and cold damage per second, and heavily restricting vision. Normally, in such a battle of endurance, even with both sides having their stats evened out to the average of all their stats combined, Faust would, without a second thought, lose. Unfortunately, he was immune against cold and slashing.

"Bahahahahahaha!" Faust's mocking laughter tainted the air, its location distorted and twisted by the howling wind; an almost maddened cackle assalting Roostervelt's ears. "Do your best to survive this!" Immediately following the Lich's taunts were several AOE attacks in all random directions, covering quite an unfairly large portion of surface area. Explosions of arcane energy, lances of black ice thrown in all directions, and a dozen more different AOEs flew. Evidently, Faust didn't know the exact location of Roostervelt, and was attempting to snuff him out with large AOEs - and should Roostervelt attempt to dodge, would probably run into a mine or perhaps even two. It was quite clear that this was the decisive moment, and Faust was finally going all in.

This was an all or nothing gamble - should Roostervelt come out alive, Faust would be out of MP and a sitting duck for slaughter, and should Roostervelt slip up, an overpowered Lich would soon dine on fried bird.

Taking time to readjust her heavy braids and a slow breath it seemed that there would at least now be a brief reprieve for some well-deserved relaxation, the dragon was tame, the king was content and her new home, for now, would see a literal palace. Taking in the details of the castles a little more she does idly make note of...minor adjustments that would be preferred to be more towards her taste, the king likely not saying much to the contrary. A relaxed smile on her features she idly wonders if she should change the hairstyle up a little, while it was iconic for her she would need a servant or two to be able to handle its care.

A grip on her wrist got her attention as she turns to glance down towards the new arrival, a fellow redhead but garbed more like a peasent...if it was not her manner of the approach she would have assumed them another servant or serf of the kings. Well, it would just be one more act of charity, barely anything but the smallest of destruction for her approaching relaxation yet the look from the eyes did lead to perhaps it being not so small and a further drag of issues on the ever-growing list, resisting the urge to rub her temples she instead just reply in the usual tone.

"Why of course my dear, Should those bear their heart I am not one to idly cast such aside, especially for such a simple request" a wide gesture with her hand, a dainty wave and a short nod to the king as she moves away to a more secluded location guiding the enamored dragon with her. Now away she leans against a wall ever so slightly and looks down to the woman. "Now regardless of the much-needed fashion advice I suspect that is not the nature of this conversation, a simple makeover would maybe be far too simple for today at the given rate." a casual gesture to the side as she readies herself for the trouble to come.

Yapora
Smiling all the while, she moved with the woman towards a secluded space, withdrawing her arms and putting them across her nonexistent chest. At the statement about her 'fashion' she could feel her eyebrow twitch, just a smidge. Keep calm...keep calm. Glancing towards her guild mate, she weighed the approach in her head...dean had already messaged he'd found players, and that was likely the only thing tough enough so far to sway his brain like it was...best address this head on then. Keeping her voice as gentle as she could, she started to speak. "Please...tell me you don't actually talk like that. And I like my outfit just fine, I don't need fashion advice. My guild mate already gave me the Message that you're a player, so I'm hoping you're either more tuned into the current situation than I am, or just as lost..."

Glaring daggers at the dragon in hiding for a moment, she turned her focus back on the woman. "Nothing thus far has shown to even be able to sway him, so my bets are safe that you're in the same boat I am. I've been stuck in this throne room for a good few, watching you silver tongue with the king and anything else in the room. So can we...not do that sort of thing, and just talk like a sane couple of people? I've already been talked down to by high elves today and I don't need to bite my tongue or play court with anyone right now.....So let's start simple. Who are you, and why is my friend here head over heels....ahem, more than normal."
