ZYMPHON

I suppose I must make this convincing

"Oh wandering spirits.." she started chanting, raising her staff towards the skies "hear my call on this land devoid of life..." more spirits started to raise from the ground, as a druid, Zymphon had the ability to communicate with nature, even this land had fertile soils with animals and plants on a distant past. "lend me your aid like a raging storm!" countless of spirits of different kind of animals started to surround her.

So it is like YGGDRASIL...is this truly the game?

"My friends, assist the dark knight in stopping the undead horde" After giving her command and pointing her staff at the group of undead heading towards them, the spirits quickly moved towards the dark knights location, surrounding him as he slaughtered the undead on his own, acting as a barrier that shielded the knights rampage. The undead that came in contact with these spirits were burned to a crisp.

"I guess we are part of your threatics, you damnable puppet..." the girl picked the puppet who was in the ground after Ragare tossed her to Zymphon, Neire remained motionless with a smirk on her face as she was picked and dragged on the ground by the young druid.

Was my assistance needed...? She sighed after witnessing the Dark Knight slaughter the last zombie, the spirits that were surrounding him went back to Zymphon and then started to fade away in the wind one by one.

With the puppet in her hands, Zymphon jumped next to the Knight "I am...just a traveler looking my way back home" she addressed the group of knights after the Dark Knight next to her did it.

Hearing the line going blank, Acles opened his eyes and climbed down the guard tower.

Acles' mapping did not rely on sight, however, he did not wish for Lady Alishia's spell to fail due to imperfection of his scan. As a reassurance, he visualised the target area for [Gate] using both his map and his sensor. Lady Alishia would be able to approach the demon now, but Acles had another trouble.

Lady Alishia did not give him any order before closing the line.

A fraction of a second distraction in battle could cause death. He did not want to cause his Creator's death. Even so, he wanted to help. To do something in this time of danger. If he was alone, he would go toward the demon without any hesitation. But he was not alone.

"Iota, what do you think our next step should be?"
Acles turned to Iota to ask.

"We can return to Lake Coven to take resources or we can help the guards to protect the citizen,"
he said, turning his face toward the demon. "alternatively, we can help Lord Milton and Lady Alishia to fight the demon."

"Aaand done!"

Candy wiped an imaginary bead of sweat off her forehead as she finished Harvest insignia on the incubus' backhand. The remaining five Temptation Devils had started their round helping with evacuation. It didn't feel good to be left behind on doing Daddy's request, so Candy wanted to hurry. The insignia still had to be perfect, though. Only perfection!

"All right! Let's start helping everyone!" said Candy with a grin, excited. Just as she stood up, the five Temptation Devils returned. Their expression showed no concern, but they did not show any smile either.

"Applaudable spirit, young lady. However, there is a problem in our mission."

"Yes?"

"There is no one to help."

"..."

"..."

""""""......""""""

Apparently, the city was located in the middle of nowhere, so there was nowhere to run or evacuate to anyway. If the spawnlings went through, the citizens would be doomed, either by starvation, the spawnlings, or wild beasts as they run. The only way to really help the citizens was to stop the spawnlings from invading the city. Of course, Candy and the Temptation Devil Clique were too far to help any time soon.

Candy fell to her knee.

"Dad..." whispered her quietly. His last order was still clear in her mind.

Keep on helping the mass. A good first impression is crucial.

"There isn't even any evacuation to begin with! I hate you!"

Imagining Drevis' mischievous grin and is that so? when she complained later did not do much for Candy's mood. She was tricked into not helping. Her shout might had been too much, as she could sense the Temptation Devils stirring behind her.

"If I may offer you an advice, young lady," said one of the succubus. The most veloptuous one, it seemed.

"...what?" said Candy, pouting. She was sulking. She definitely was.

"the heart of the order is to create a good impression of the Harvest, no?" the succubus pulled down the opening of her cleavage, showing the Harvest emblem drawn. "there are many ways to create a good impression other than helping those in need."

"...you're right!"

Her mood better, Candy jumped into a stand and surveyed her surrounding. What would be a good way to make a good impression? There was only one answer possible!

"Get ready, Devils, because we will be selling candy!"

And they did.

Rex

Amaz

Rex had stopped firing the great black bow and now hovered silently in the air looking over havoc his undead were inflicting on the battlefield. He had summoned numerous zombified creatures, from hounds to bears and elephants, as well as mobs of undead warriors With each skill cast the number of undead grew and with it the chaos, the Spawnlings and undead were evenly matched in savagery though the numbers favored the spawnlings the dead were relentless. Even as an undead was overwhelmed it kept attacking and those stronger undead cut bloody scars through the battlefield. Rex watched them, intrigued by the actions they took, their orders had been broad 'kill the Spawnlings.' The lesser zombies and skeletons simply hurled themselves at the nearest foe with an utter abandon while the Death Cavaliers had grouped up and dashed in and out of the battle. The Undead Swordbearers would pick one of the massive Spawnlings and cleave it's way through scores on a single minded mission to annihilate the foe.

"Let's see how they handle orders," he spoke as he began to concentrate on the undead until he could feel the tether between himself and the dead. As he began to reach out with his commands the battlefield began to shift soon the undead had forming into a battle line. Calvary and undead beasts on the front with a mass of infantry in the middle and ranged units to the rear, the more powerful undead stood ahead of the line thinning out the spawnling's numbers before they could reach the undead formation. Rex was satisfied with his troops, he doubted they could perform complex orders without a commanders, but when given a task they would work to complete it relentlessly.

"I think I understand how the basic dead are conjured, but what about something more substantial?" With that he had decided on his next test, [Dark Sacrement: Pit of Ba'al]

Before the mass of undead soldiers a great maw opened in the earth dozens of spawnlings roared as the fell into the depths. The sides and bottom of the pit was lined with spikes of bone on which the creatures were impaled. As they died their bodies broke down into a sickly black ichor that pooled at the bottom of the pit.

"The offering demands more!" Rex spoke loudly and his undead lurched into action. The line of undead began to push forward against the surging horde and soon the spawnlings where being forced back, towards the pit. The Death Cavaliers and undead beasts hit the flanks and hemmed them in, while the Death Knights and Undead Swordbearers tore through the enemy lines and began pushing swaths of spawnlings into the pit. With each body the pit filled with more of the vile blackness until it was brimming, then suddenly the substance crystallized. The ground trembled slightly and then cracks appeared in the hardened ichor, rays of black shone from the cracks as they began to expand. A glowing black shard rose from the pit roughly five feet wide and ten feet tall, the light of the setting sun dimmed in the of the dark light that streamed from the shard. Though the shard itself could not directly attack ones mind those who looked upon it were filled with a gnaw terror. Without warning the shard shattered releasing the creature within.

Ull.jpg

The creature was curled up like an infant, but it rose revealing it's true size and form. It stood 15 ft tall towering over even Rex, but to look at it it seemed bigger or rather that as one looked the world appeared to contract around it. One of the massive Spawnlings charged the new formed being and swung a savage blow as it's club like fist neared the undead it disintegrated like black wisps of smoke, this effect rapidly consumed the Spawnling leaving nothing.

"Ba'al, dead god reborn, kill them kill them all," Rex spoke a he pointed to Ba'al. Ba'al did not respond he merely swung his hand towards the bulk of the Spawnling horde, as he did dozens of black orbs flew from him smashing into the horde each orb then expanded consuming scores of Spawnlings.

Sigvold

As Jaxter neared the tower a single beam of light shot from the tower in a cone that enveloped them, a powerful defense that would send anyone not affiliated with the guild to one of the districts at random. As the light faded Jaxter would find himself standing in the heart of an immense arena. The Arena itself was immaculately built, constructed of the finest materials in Yggdrasil. At the edges of the Coliseum floor the item Five Pillars was built into the meaning that reaching the the only way to leave the Coliseum was through one of the massive doors at either end of the Arena grounds. The Coliseum was deserted save for three humans standing near eachother. The one nearest to Jaxter seemed elderly, slightly hunched over gently holding his cane with two hands, his head was tilted to the right and his eyes were closed. Behind him was a warrior who was resting one hand on his sword, he was wearing a fine suit of armor and had a stern gaze. The last one was wearing Taoist robes and held a warfan, he was a far distance further from Jaxter than the other two and seemed to be observing intensely.

The oldman began to work his way towards Jaxter, using his cane to probe his way. "Heheh it's nice to have a good visit every now and then, there is some commotion out there it's good that your safe here with us." He spoke in a kindly voice, one that conveyed no hostility or fear of being attacked,

His hand was outstretched as if he was going to take Jaxter's hand and offer him a drink. As he did the man in Taoist robes sent a message to Rex.

Amaz

Rex received the message from Water Mirrior and hovered silently for a moment, his anger welled up inside, but it hadn't triggered his effect yet. Rex looked down to Ba'al, "the undead are yours to control let no Spawnling passage follow the orders given to you by the others of the guild."

Rex did not wait for a response instead he held a glittering red gem etched with his sigil, as he crushed the gem in his hand he was enveloped in a churning red light and vanished.

Coliseum

Rex arrived at a room that was connected to a balcony overlooking the coliseum grounds, the balcony was reserved for guild members and second only to Selvernas' personal vista. Rex exited the room and walked out to the balcony, he looked out at the intruder and wondered how they would handle this situation. If it were up to Rex he would kill them and then use the [Compel Dead] spell to extract information, but he didn't know what Selvernas wanted and so decided he would follow her lead in this.

Drevis was a few meters away from the city wall when he thought of wearing his Mask of Abaddon. It was a Legendary Rank equipment, however, since he obtained the Divine Rank Prince of Hell's Circlet, he rarely wore it anymore. The few time he did was when he wanted to play around. Here, too, he intended to play around. As long as the foe was not a level 100, he could take it easy. Besides, a mysterious masked stranger... he always wanted to be one.

Due to his delayed arrival, (the mask was a bit deep in his inventory) the battle was already in full swing when he arrived. He could see Ignis rampaging ahead with Juxe Box - the music was difficult to miss - and two familiar NPCs. There too, seemed to be individuals with the same prowess as Ignis. And what luck! Ignis seemed to be acquitted to them. Drevis, satisfied with the current condition of his guild leader, shifted his attention to the battle field.

Seeing everything from aerial point of view made everything clearer. One thing drew his attention more than the rest; the priority of the attacking demons.

"Hm... let's start with something simple," said Drevis from his position on the air above the city wall.

"[Summon: Servants of Evil Lord Envy]"
envy-paul-cadums.jpg
They rose from the ground below him, just in the middle of demon hoard trying to scale the wall. Their appearance was that of thin, green sickly women wrapped around in translucent white cloth with a snake on top of their head. They were not very strong. Not that it mattered. As soon as they were summoned, the demons started targetting the servants instead. Servants of Evil Lord Envy possess the special trait of always bearing a maximum agro. With the number of demons around, the Envy Servants were killed in the matter of second and the demons returned their attack. The moment they returned was the crucial time Drevis waited for.

"I see..." he murmured.

The demons were not targetting the wall specifically. It seemed to the demons, Ignis and his friends bore higher agro value than the wall, from the number of demons aiming at them after he forced their attention at the Envy Servants. If that was the case, if he blocked their advance to the wall, they would target Ignis' group instead. If that was the case,

"they will need to work harder. Hehehe."

Chuckling suspiciously, Drevis descended toward the city wall and stood high on it. He raised his hand into the air and casted a spell he was oh-so-familiar with.

"[Hellfire Wall]"

Ablaze in front of him was a huge wall of hellfire. Oh, it did not inflict physical damage. Demons, unlike most devils, possessed a high defense attribute. Hellfire special property was its ability to incinerate the soul. Lowly demons wouldn't possess soul protection. Demons... hah! They were only crude things created to be used by those with intelligence. Like him!

"Hm, they should be fighting nicely down there," said Drevis calmly as he peered down the wall, as if he didn't see the demons grasping for the edge, passing through his [Hellfire Wall] and groaning in pain. "well, I will help them if they get in trouble, so there shouldn't be a problem."

Talking to himself, wearing a mask, and descending from the sky with a pitch black wings, of course, gained the attention of the defenders. Not that Drevis cared. Their equipments, bows and armours, looked as shoddy as a hedge knight in fantasy novel. In fact, he would applaud them if they manage to somehow hurt him. They simply did not interest him. All of them, except for one. Among the defenders, there was the rare sight of a woman, holding a conspicious turqoise spear among the iron spears of the defenders. Drevis approached the woman, the battlefield and Ignis momentarily forgotten.

"It's quite rare to see a woman in a battlefield," he commented offhandedly.

Talking shop in a fight, of course, was generally a bad idea. However, Drevis had confidence in his Aspect of the Devil Wings and the high stats of his equipments. Even if he got hurt, it wouldn't be too bad, he reasoned. Besides, Ignis and the rest seemed to be managing quite well.

Ignis
Ah, a response he expected from Fabulous. Yet, he wanted to disagree. Slaughtering weaklings was not really fun. But before he could voice his thoughts, a bigger amount of spawnlings appeared. This time different types, and even some large ones. A certain NPC of Harvest would have sure had some fun in this situation given his settings, yet Ignis did not want to bring him out of the guild. Not yet.

He stopped a bit to admire Rex's glorious undead army, as well as the summon of Ba'al. There was no kill like overkill. Yet...

"These things are unworthy to die by my scythe." With that said, he put his powerful scythe in his inventory and took out a divine class sword. He then unmounted his horse, ran and then jumped right in the middle of the new, fresh spawnling horde.

[Thousand Blades Asura]

Ignis traced out lines in the air with his sword, leaving blade-like after-images in its wake, finishing the movement when his sword pointed skywards. He then brought his sword down, releasing innumerable sword-like projectiles, covered in green chaos flames, omnidirectionally.

"That was refreshing."

Ergo

While his creator was busy causing mayhem, Ergo took a different approach.

[Sage Forest]

Suddenly, a great forest appeared near Amaz. Vines held the lesser spawnlings in place while Ergo approached each of them one by one.

"You will love being a slime." He said to each of them, on a deadpan tone, as he pierced their torso with his hand and converted them into Lesser Yellow Oozes (level 35). "Go out and attack the spawnlings." He commanded, and they obeyed. These slimes could melt things on touch, and would not immediately die, instead separating themselves in two weaker slimes once upon defeat. Once they truly died, they'd become a sticky substance that would hinder something from moving.

Ergo proceeded to climb the tallest tree in the forest.

[Eos Lumos]

Ergo generated something akin to a miniature sun that grativated above the forest.

[Summon Greater Plant: Lord Solaris]

Some sort of gigantic sunflower (lvl 80) rose from the ground, towering above the tree that Ergo was standing on. "Do not let any spawnling get near." Ergo ordered. Lord Solaris absorbed energy from the fake sun and struck spawnlings from a distance with light beams. The slime was not done yet, though.

[Summon Medium-Tier: Mushroom Squad]
1545245902028.png

Ergo got off the tree and summoned a group of mushroom warrior, composed of a fighter, a sorcerer, a healer, an assassin, a monk, and an archer, all level 60.
"Assume defensive position. Protect the people of this place from the spawlings."
"Understood!"

[Double Summon: Leaf Fairy]
1545247001913.png
"Cater towards the wounded." He said. The fairies (lvl 65) obeyed and flew around, healing those in need.

Scarlett & Paracelsus

The female Aasimar grew a pair of wings and soared through the sky. She assisted Ignis with sound-based attacks, launching sonic screams left and right. She also wanted to play the guitar, but it would have not been in harmony with Juke Box's song, so she refrained from doing so. Scarlett hated cacophonies.

Meanwhile, the wizard casted [Fly] and was near Scarlett, also assisting Ignis against the horde.

[Meteor Shower]

As the name suggested, many meteors fell from the sky.

BB was glad to see Akudez and Nerono arrived at the scene as well. With that, the intruder surely didn't stand a chance to...

"Damn it!"

The young man used a few debuffs to slow down their movement and was dashing towards the entrance to the castle. BB was enraged. Bloodlust overflowing. Yet that did not hinder her ability to think. She looked at anything that she could use as a weapon, to get in Jaxter's way. Her eyes set upon a marvelous figure, truly the best weapon to use in this situation.

[Strength Boost]
[Speed Boost]

"Lady Akudez, I am sorry." she said as she grabbed Akudez and princess-carried her for a second. "I am sorry!" she said as she lifted Akudez with one hand, a firm grip on her curvaceous behind. And then BB threw her towards the demon boy at full force.

"I AM SOWWY!" she said. Again.

Mighty fine posterior.

But as she threw the Aku-Ball towards her prey, a ray of light made them both disappear from sight.

"Ah yes. I forgot we had a mechanism like that, since no one got this far before." She said, talking to herself, before facepalming.

Nemo, Nyx, and Lumiere

Nyx and Lumiere got damaged a bit because of their short fight with Cantabel. Well, mostly Lumiere, since Nyx was nearly immune to the fire element and very resistant to fire magic. Unfortunately, it seemed their opponent was resistant to fire as well. The caster also had ways of dealing with both of their attacks, which was increadibly annoying.

After Lumiere finished healing himself, Nyx started playing with his hair and whispering in his ear.

"Are you ok? Do you require some more... h e a l i n g?" she whispered. She became careless. Since Selvernas was dealing with Cantabel, the Demon Queen thought she could take it easy.

[Message]: Oi, Nyx. Save your flirting for later! We don't know how many enemies are still out there.
[Message]:
Ah, I apologize, Lord Nemo.

Seriously, how could she be so carele-...

"It seems someone is asking for death."

GAH! Oh...

Fabian's Great Five Legionaries...or something like that. He always talked about them. Some of his proudest creations. Seeing their humane interactions, despite the subject and their sadism, made Nemo smile. But then he quickly snapped out of it.

"Lord Nemo, Where do you need us? Who's blood shall we spill for the Guild and out master?!"

Nemo thought about it a bit before answering. He had a general idea. It was good enough. But before he could speak.

[Message, from BB]: Lord Nemo, one of the intruders tried to enter the great castle, but Lord Rex's defense mechanism kicked in. I... threw Lady Akudez towards the intruder and she was teleported as well.
[Message]: Hahahahahahahaha...sorry. I wasn't expecting you to throw Akudez towards the intruder, but knowing you, I belive you had a compelling reason. Thank you for the update, Ball Breaker.
[Message]: It is my duty, Lord Nemo. I am unworthy of such praise.

Returning to the five in front of him Nemo issued his order.

"I have just received confirmation that one of the intruders has been teleported to Rex's arena. With that in mind, I need one of you to be near Selvernas and assist her if necessary. Another one will go to the arena and make sure the other intruder is completely subdued. As for the other three: the Oyster Squad is protecting one of the four cardinal directions, I wish that each of you would protect the remaining three cardinal points, and remain outside the walls. Take subordinates with you, just in case. That would be all."

Hex

Hex looked at the cat slightly confused for a second. Then he heard it speak. He knew who/what it was. He was wondering if he should have scared it, kicked it, or eaten it. But in the end, he reconsidered.

I probably won't be able to scare it. If I kick it, it will just pester me more. I can't eat it since I don't have any cooking ustensils. I dislike raw meat. Ah, whatever.

In the end he looked at the Thing-Cat intensly for a few seconds, then he lifted it up from the ground and placed it atop of his head.

Meanwhile his Flying Eye demon died because of something. He received the memeories before its death, though. An angel boy appeared out of nowhere and started fighting the demon, but it seemed he was in trouble.

"Apparently an angel is trying to deal with this demon. What do you want to do, Mr. Cipher?" he asked, on a serious tone, with Thing-Cat on his head.

Iota pondered abit, thinking of what's their next step of their game plan. She thought of going to Lake Coven out of curiosity and know more about the Guild that she got into, yet realized their delay might cost her new found master's life because she wasn't there to assist, then she thought of assisting the people of this town called Trost in defending themselves against the demonic attack that is occurring right as they think of a next course of action. But the more she calculates those ideas, the more time is wasted, Iota had to act fast as time is on the line for them. But then she realized.

"Acles-san." Iota spoke as she has finally decided the action they'll take.

"As sworn in the contract that I have formed as the servant of Master Hamilton... Let's help them out against the threat in this town at the same time we can help with the defense of this walled city and by helping out Masters we would indirectly help out the civilians in this city, if not. we escape with them and be united." Iota firmly said. her posture has changed into something more serious.

"I am now of Lake Coven and it is bound by my duty as a Servant of Master Hamilton and as a Battle Maid to protect him. Let's get to our Masters, Acles-san." She added with a serious look on her face, a face which does not suit her yet a face which is a rare sight to see, showing how far her free-will has evolved into from the the advanced programming made by her creator who she considers her 'Mother'.

Iota stood beside Acles with a reaffirmed smile, before giving him the nod as a signal that they should go.

"Let's go, Acles-san. let's not keep them waiting." Iota went back to her usual serene look on her face, assuring him that she too is confident of her selection yet calm at the same time.

"Hrrkkk! An angel?! How...? Why...?! No matter.... I must heal.... The fool shall regret this..." The Demon hissed as it tunneled through the ground underneath Trost. Be it luck or a whim or fate, the angel's attack had caused enough chaos for him to escape after its initial barrage. The Light magic seared its skin and that crushing strike had managed to cause one of its horns to snap and it was desperate for some life to heal itself with. A simple use of [Life Leech] would be enough to jumpstart his still dormant healing factor. The angel shall pay! It shall! As it tunnel through the ground, its claws struck something that made it hiss with pain. A holy barrier? Must be the work of that angel above. The demon growled with rage and loathing.

"He shall pay.... HE SHALL PAY!" It growled before sinking its claws into the barrier and using [Curse Blessing], started to corrupt the barrier. Its holy properties distorting and corrupting into its opposite properties. The mildly confusing mist suddenly started to surge into the Church, clearing the air within Trost funnily enough. To the guards in the area, they looked around in surprise as the mist seemed to be sucked away, or rather, into the church. The Kindly Guard and his squad rushed after it, no doubt knowing that something terrible was about to happen. As for the interior of the church, the confusing mist soon condensed into a thick, choking fog of psychosis inducing confusion.

"W-What is happening?!"
"I cannot see!"
"Priestess where are you going!"
"E-Everyone please remain calm!"
"Please keep us safe, Mister Angel...."

"Its your foolish Guardian Angel's fault...." To the fear of one of the priestesses who stared helpless at the horned, looming shadow burst out of the ground before her. Before she could even scream, the Demon sank its claws into the priestess, her body quickly shriveling up and then crumbling into ashes within seconds as the Demon absorbed her lifeforce. The Demon sighed with relief as his wounds started to heal but his horn remained damaged. Its malice filled eyes glaring at the helpless people before it. It merely grinned before howling and then.... Chaos. The cured patients entered a state of panic induced psychosis, striking out at unseen foes with whatever they could get their hands on. The Priests and Priestesses did their best but some found themselves in the clutches of their maddened former patients who started to attack them. One brave Priestess gathered as many children as she could towards a corner of the church and by some miracle, erected a small wall of stone to protect herself and the children before trapping her own limbs in the wall to stop herself from hurting the children. Screams and shouts started to emanate from the church as the guards attempted to enter but found themselves halted by a sinister red barrier that radiated with a blistering heat.

As for the Demon, he stood to one side of the church and sneered at the sight. Humans, such easily manipulated creatures.

"Oh God... Do you all hear that...?" Hamilton muttered, his gaze looking towards the direction of the church. Just a moment before he was snickering at Hex's rather snazzy new cat hat when he could barely hear the screams coming from the church. Add the fact that the mist was now gone, it was clear that something was very much off. He readied his Lancelot rifle and began scaling the closest building, once on the rooftops, he could see the Angel Hex was talking about hovering over a flattened part of the city and the very obviously corrupted barrier surrounding the church. He grit his teeth in anger at the sight. What the hell is going on here?!

"Alishia. Set up a Gate exit point outside the Northern wall. Hex, I need you to infiltrate that church and see what the hell is going on here. I'm going to try something...." Hamilton grumbled as he began to run across the rooftops. He simply moved around the city, thinking. Planning. He only needed more pieces.

Meanwhile the Captain was utterly confused. The Demon was inside?! How could it possibly be inside! And then there is this tall, strange lady talking to him. A bephomet? What in the Ancestor's name is that? "You seem awfully calm about this whole affair, Miss... And the one I am looking for is a Hamilton Cipher, not some tall woman! Urgh, how many of you Outsiders are even here?! Fine! You want to help?! Get that thing out of my city and then we can talk! I'll rally the men and keep the citizens safe as you so politely requested, Outsider. Everyone move out! Be ready to open the gates at any moment! Spread the word! Hurry, go now! Yes Hermann, now! All the Gates! Go go go!"

The city was going to hell, the Captain thought to himself. And may the Ancestors ever forgive him for not keeping her safe enough.

As for the Guards outside, the North Gate Squad had their own little problems. The armoured being had lifted their commander right off the ground like it was nothing. Armour and all. As his men readied their weapons, the Gate Sergeant felt a different feeling. Hope. Clearly this man intends to help.

"Very well.... But I don't have the authority to order the gates opened and by the sound of things, it will remain shut for the time being... All we can do now is pray and hope for the best but as for you." The Sergeant chuckled softly. "You have a strange way with words... There is no falsehood behind it. You must be one of those Heores from another World... I wonder how badly must things be for a vampire like you to be considered a hero..."

Wrathful AngelHeleL

Though Helel waited for the demon to again rise, or else for his presence to fade in death, the demon did not reappear. Yet he waited, until he was struck by a feeling of an icy hand clawing against him. He knew where the demon had gone to, it was the one place it should not have been able to go, was not allowed to go. Helel was filled with righteous fury against the beast that dared ignore divine law as his godly form erupted into being in the streets just before the church. What he saw there only enraged hi further. His holy blessing of protection had been twisted and corrupted into something vile. Its own power that should have repelled any and all evil now pushed him away with its own evil force. Helel raised his right hand towards the barrier, and the blinding light pouring off of him was driven back, the hand of his skin blistered and burned as he pushed closer, until he was forced back. A god's protection, corrupted, was now powerful enough to keep out that very same god.

[Descent from Heaven] Helel's radiance and wings were extinguished as he was replaced by a human child dressed only in stained cloth, but his righteous fury continued to burn hot. [Inspiration] [Protection from Evil] He prayed, a promise to himself to bring divine justice to the evil he faced, and stepped inside the cursed unholy church. The first step inside nearly brought him to his knees, and his flower crown wilted as if dead, but Helel steadied himself and forced himself further into the evil. His eyes that saw through the corrupting mist, now more like a choking smoke contained within the small space, seemed to shine in the darkness. They settled on the demon. A white blade carved with the likeness of an angel formed in Helel's accepting palm. He held it tight as he walked through the chaos and smoke to confront the demon. Each human that was driven by madness to attack him on his way he cast [Inspiration] on to free them from its hold, and they recognized him as the angel and retreated, else put themselves back into harms way by trying to control their maddened friends.

"I am here," the human child with the eyes of a god spoke to the demon. He said it with a finality, as if that was enough. He was here, therefore evil could not.

[Extend Magic Dimensional Lure] [Widen Magic Reverse Gravity] [Extend Magic Deconstruction] [Earth Shake] [Widen Magic Overgrowth] [Twine Plant] [Boost Magic Shock Wave] [Blessing of Lightning]

The interior of the church crackled with magic as Helel crossed the distance. The demon may have thought an angel powerless inside this unholy place, but Helel was not an angel; he was a god, and a god had more power than the light and blessings that this place repelled. Everything inside the church began to float, and the old stone that made up the building itself moved as each one separated and was shaken away from the rest. Sunlight struggled to pierce the smoky darkness as the structure broke apart and floated away into the air. But the people were grabbed by the vines that had reached throughout the room and pulled away. These same vines ensnared the demon's legs and feet even as the stones beneath it shifted and shook. An invisible force buffeted it further to unsteady it further off of its feet. That was when Helel was floating over it with his holy blade wrapped in lightning. [Gravity] He plunged through the air even as the demon was pushed towards the ground.

Jyeen
Jyeen looks to the man and replys "Jyeen, and i have encountered such before" a short nod before they vanish from sight and across the city, vanishing into a invisible intangable spectral form and pasing through the terrified citizens with only a cold sensation for a moment as they do. Though as they arrived it seemed a child like angel was more intent on the theatrics that results....but noticing a open gate spell along the way her cause was set.

Passing through the gravity and holy field as if it was nothing her hand pulls back as if to strike the demon, though instead of a punch her hand seems to palm the creatures head just as its about to hit the ground, a glow of dark red energy as something shifts below the sleeve and shoots along in a netlike formation to give leverage, the tight threads digging in to the hide of the beast as the titan of a woman pulls it along with her and towards the created gate. "Ill be back for the other moron later, kill or destroy anyone else and the sames happening in return" her tone calm and cold with only a eye moving to the smaller individual. She had no time for formalaties at the moment, those could come later, though she does change her mark to the divine creature instead.

"[Living Fortress],[Dimensional Lock].[Grip of the Titan]"

The initial shockwave of her impact with the demonic creature and tighten of fingers around its skull was only a prelude as the speed continues pulling it along with her through the gate and pushing its skull downwards as their positions change in the air, knee embedding into its back as they hit the ground and it grinds along the hard earth for a good distance making a trail of gouged earth from their new location outside the walls and tearing away at the side of the creatures face from the friction. As the cloud of dust settles, Jyeen remains their pinning the creature down, knee firmly between its shoulder blades to prevent the arms for moving and the other leg anchoring them downwards.

"Now im going to give you two useful pieces of information. One, That girl you attacked first? was a attack against not only her but also her entire family. Two, any who attack our family has no place in heaven or hell they can hide from retribution.......Now, why did you feel the needs to tear into the city?" pausing for a moment before pushing her hand down with slightly more force as her anchoring aura and intimidation leaks out directed at the creature, a quiet rage bubbling beneath the surface. "10 words or less". Despite the difference in size, the weight was far beyond what should be possible feeling as if a mountain was on the back of the behemoth with the strength to match.

Thing
Meanwhile the cat infront of the group merely smiles at them as it turns their head to the sound of the final impact "Oh sisters here!.....that mean old goat really did mess up didnt he? Want to go watch?, there outside the city now" curling around ontop of their new perch and letting out a yawn "Though as fun as the chasing was, this is nice Uncle Hexy. Though maybe another round of tag once this is over.". Across the city overlooking the area beyond seems to be another Cat sitting on the wall watching the entire exchange outside, this really was a pain...she should have just pulled herself together and joined in but this way she keeps the whole protector angle for those who saw the excahnge and cover in general...while also letting sis have some fun of her own. I mean it was something right? this was their first time outside in a long while so it had to be memorable. Somehow the second cat seems laughing raising a paw to its mouth.

A short while after Alishia went through [Gate] to Trost

The last sight of Lady Alishia disappeared when the Gate flickered to a close. Just to be safe, Avena casted [Detect Evil] and [Reveal Evil]. No respond. [Gate] was the best 10th tier spatial spell for mobilisation of large group of individuals and moving a large number of artifacts. Lady Alishia, in partnership with Acles, had been able to rewire the spell to allow her to visit locations mapped by Acles, making it even more useful. However, its lack of security made it easy for assassins and thieves to slip through if not guarded carefully. Thanksfully, there was no intruders this time around.

With Lady Alishia going off to help Lord Hamilton, the defense of Lake Coven was left to Avena and other Guardians. The Secret Library, important as it was, was located on the lowest floor of Lake Coven. It would not do for her to let the outer layer be destroyed. Equipping her Sagacity Staff, Avena made her way to the Courtyard. The open ground in front of Witch Garden entrance gave off a homely, countryside feeling. However, it also left the guild building open for attack, with the forest surrounding them diminished.

The first priority, she thought to herself, would be to return the forest that served as a first cover.

To the side of the Courtyard was a herb garden, where two homunculi were harvesting red paste berries. Avena approached them, with a question ready.

"Have you seen Guardian Aule anywhere?"

"As you command Lord Nemo. Let's Biggity Bounce People!" Alexandru barked. As soon as Nemo had blinked, the five were gone. As if they were a trick of the mind, they had vanished, appearing in their assigned locations. The Twins and Alexandru, taking up positions outside the city, prepared for any threats perceived or not, all the while Georg snapped into existence behind the guildmaster's current foe.

Without a seconds hesitation, the Legionary lashed out with both dagger and greatsword, fire and hoarfrost trailing in their wake as the elite loosed a flurry of strikes upon the invader. "Looks as though you could use a hand Mistress Selvernas~" Georg Purred, landing beside her after avoiding a vicious counter attack from the unknown attacker.

Meanwhile, the smallest and sadistic member of the Iron-bound appeared behind the lord of the Coliseum himself, Lord Rex. Loosing a giggle, the girl stepped up beside the undead warrior. "Lord Rex, Lord Nemo has sent me to... Assists in the apprehension or destruction of this invader. How can I serve you?"

Fabian hacked, slashed, and casted a bloody swath through the abominations as he and his old friend and ally fought side by side once again. As soon as the Spawnling's giants were spotted, fabian's smirk turned into a feral grin under his visor before, retreating several meters back. "Ignis! Cover Me! It seems the little bastards don't know how to play fair." The frost cried out, before downing a mana potion. Sheathing Scourge, He began dumping his mana once again. "Maximize magic, Perfect Warrior. Maximize tripple magic, Glacial Titan"

Upon finishing his castings, Blue Glacial ice shot out and enshrouded the Knight Magi, growing at a greater rate than the previous time he had used it. Within moments, fabian stood, towering over the battlefield and city, in a carapace of blue ice, his laughter booming out of the colossal form. With but a though, the Titan's "Arms" morphed into massive sything blades, before charging the first of the massive Spawnlings

Soon during the battle, a friend of the guild, Ingis, showed up. "Welcome to fight, just make sure to keep burning the monster okay?" Drix said running pass him and punching a spawnling near him. After some time fighting, it seemed like the hoard was not letting up, even with the amount of spawnling everyone was taking out. Then massive spawnlings started bursting from the tree line. "Well, this is going to be interesting," Drix said looking at the huge spawnlings.

Then Drix heard Fabian yelling and turn to see Fabian casting spells before becoming a giant ice titan. "Sometimes I forget all things we can do" Drix commented to himself as Fabian charged at the huge spawnlings. Drix himself couldn't grow giant so he decides for a moment to let Fabian handle the big spawnlings while he tries thin out the small fires. "Come girls let show that even if we can't grow big that we can kill more then the ice titan," Drix said to his NPCs before they doubled there efforts against the spawnlings.

Hextur the Fabulous

Is he... giving me orders?

After all that mambo jambo, Hamilton decided to simingly give Hex an order. He didn't know what to think of that. Was it Hamilton's way of asking for help? Was he obliged to do it? Should he do it? Should he care that much? Why?

Because I am human?

Right, he was human. What did that mean anyway? It meant he was part of a certain species. What weight did that hold? He was also an individual. It meant he had reason, he had free will and the ability to choose. Hamilton wanted to save the citizens from the demon. But did Hex want to save them? What if he didn't? They would be...

"Abbandoned." he said out loud, talking to himself.

Abbandoned. Just like I was...

Right. Why was he asking himself such silly questions. He would help Hamilton. But he would do it his way. As soon as he snapped back to his senses, Hex jumped from building to building (with the Thing-Cat still on his head) until he reached the church. Hamilton wanted him to investigate it but... what church? It was no longer existent. Reduced to tiny pieces. The demon, the angel, and the lady with amazing abs were duking it out. Should he interfere?

[Detect Magic]

From the looks of it, several barriers where active. Undoubtely high level. What should he do? He thought about it for a few seconds, and then it hit him.

[Widden Magic: The Yellow Sign]

Hex generated a black sphere with a strange yellow sign inside it, the size of a football, then kicked it high in the air until it simingly disappeared in the skies.

"To the people of this town. I will help you, but... I am sorry. This will hurt for a bit."

The Yellow Sign appeared above the town, as if imprinted on the sky, and bigger. And without warning it would burrow itself in the minds of the town's folk like a worm, causing insanity.

[Memento of a Yellow King]

1545568226775.png

Hex transformed, looking like one of the various depictions of the Eldritch God Hastur. This skill transformed him in an abberation, gave him a lot of useful passives and some strong, unusual active abilities, while also increasing his regeneration, defense, and destructive power, but made him unable to use abilities and skills from almost all his other job classes, except the first two (which where based on ki), while also making him vulnerable to astral magic. In this new world, it also affected his personality a bit.

"I am an eldritch abbomination. Tehe!" He said, as he struck a pose.

The effect on his personality was bizzare.

[Curse Eater]

Hex absorbed the sign in the sky as well as the curse of insanity that affected the people of Trost. He grew twice in size.

[Big Sheep]

A sheep that was bigger than usual appeared near Hastur-Hex. He grabbed and threw it towards the demon. The pressure from the various barriers squeezed the sheep and killed it, making it burst in blood. But that's what Hex wanted. The blood of the sheep was corrosive and filled with astral magic. Slowly but surrely, it would fall on the demon's head.

"What are you going to do? Little demon. Little parasyte." Hex said, in an attempt to taunt the demon.

"Very well, then," said Acles.

The devouted and loyal answer given by his new comrade was a pleasant surprise to Acles. It was difficult to find a subordinate so genuine and determined outside of Lake Coven. He turned his transmitter once more, to send a short message to Lady Alishia.

Lady Alishia, Iota and I will support you. We will soon arrive near the demon. Do tell Lord Hamilton of this.

Lord Hamilton was a strategist. He did not want to disrupt his line of thinking with his message. Lady Alishia, too, should be in battle soon. Acles turned off his transmitter before he turned his gaze toward the demon. The creature had entered the city wall, occupying an area of the town. They should hurry.

"Come,"
said Acles gently. "we should help our master."

Acles grabbe Iota's hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. Then he stepped forward, pulling Iota with him as he activated [Fast Travel]. They went pass worried citizens like water, breezed through the unstable road as if they had wings on their legs. And at a point, when the road was blocked by a toppled carriage, they stepped on the roof. Wings on their legs might not be too far off.

The skill [Fast Travel], which allowed him to cover large distance at a short interval, was different from the branch of spatial magic. It was a skill intended for map exploration, unearthing large area while traversing it swiftly. The skill could not be used with a threatening enemy nearby, however, as Acles and Iota were vastly stronger than the citizens, they were able to pass through them without stopping.

Alyssa Morrow

So command the wake of dreams
To restore the world, cut 'way the seams....

"On it!" Alyssa called back to the frost before taking flight again. Once she had a good vantage to oversee the battle, she got an idea, but it would have to wait a moment or two. Selvernas, we aren't the only players from Yggdrasil. We've just come into contact with some members of Harvest. She would've gone into more detail, but Opal suddenly chimed in with an update on what was going on in Sigvold. The half-dragon's features darkened considerably and she gave her NPCs their orders. Focusing back on the battle, she felt a need for this to end - quickly. Her hand clenched her bow as she dived to the nearest of trees, only to unfurl her wings and land on a fairly sturdy branch. Putting her free hand on the tree, she used a Ranger skill, [Nature's Ammunition]. A moment later, a base of arrows formed where her hand had been. It would only last a minute or two, and be a drain on her MP, which would only go down faster with the next skill she planned to combo it with. [Conflagration] was a delayed fire augment that wouldn't activate until the arrows struck their mark, and now that she had her munition renewed, she fired upon the largest creatures, regardless of where they were, hoping to taking some of them down. Her next idea hitched on removing what she assumed would be the higher leveled monstrosities, and so she fired until her MP was all but gone and [Nature's Ammunition] went into cool-down.

She popped a mana potion (admittedly, one of the few she kept on her person) and quickly planned on how she wanted to use her next set of skills. She didn't know if it would work, if these spawnling creatures could even be counted as beasts, but if they did, she would have plenty of fun with it. Leaving her high perch, again, she walked back onto the battlefield with all the confidence, aggravation, and impatience she felt obvious on her face and body language. "[Mantle of the Master]," she said aloud as a faint glow popped off with each skill she activated. "[Heed the Call].... [Absolute Obedience]... [Will Bestowal]." Mantle of the Master would give Alyssa bonuses to her other Beast Master skills, as well as make any suitable creatures take notice of her immediately. Heed the Call would focus that on any commands she spoke. Absolute Obedience would make any affected by her other skills thus far be unable to resist her commands, just as the name of it implies. And finally Will Bestowal was an explicit Master and Beast form of message, but on a complete telepathic wavelength that usually led to them acting scarily in-sync for the perfect tag-team. The order she gave was a simple one. `Cease and desist your actions.` She hoped they would obey her. This was a fifty-fifty gamble on her part. She'd be a wide open target if this didn't go she way she wanted. Luckily she had what she needed to help cover that, but... she truly didn't want to use it.

The Wyrm Lair

Opal had relayed her mistress's orders to the others and the dragon-kin all began following them. Opal, Iolite, and Almandine would remain behind and guard the treasury should the worst happen, using Opal's magic to better ambush any who entered. As for Melanite, the large black dragon would be leaving the Lair to join the battle. While generally lazy, Melanite was more than enthused at being his lady's top pick for the battle. He made his way out of the Lair and exited through the massive gate that lead into their district. As he exited the low-lit tunnels and walked in the sunlight, his scales, though naturally black as pitch, shone with an iridescence not unlike oil on water. His gaze roamed, taking in the sight of all that was happening. Unwitting to his mistress's plan, he found the flame and its destructiveness beautiful. Still, the dragon's eyes wandered until he saw a suitable quarry, relevant to Mistress Shizira's orders, and approached, being mindful of all his surroundings and moving quite nimbly for his size. "Lady Nyamiko," he greeted as he dipped his head low, "my mistress bid me aid you."

And yet, it wasn't the slime in particular he was ordered to help. Melanite will go forth and lend the first of my compatriots he sees aid, and follow their orders until the situation is under control. Follow their commands as if they were my own. That is what his mistress had the tiny faerie dragon relay, and he would follow through. "Your orders are mine to follow until the battle's conclusion." While he waited for any orders she might give, Melanite took a defensive stance, noting all the others who stood at the steps of Iรฐavรถllr: a few members of Master Fabian's Legion, Master Nemo and in the distance, some of his own people, and of course, Mistress Selvernas, who was in the sky. All were doing their part so far, and Melanite itched to do his own.

Reoite/Clair
"Hmmm, so that's how it works... how interesting. How exciting! I can actually do it! I can cast magic as if I was Reoite myself... well I guess that would make sense since I'm currently Reoite... Yes, it TOTALLY makes sense. In fact, this is probably the first thing that makes good and rational sense at all! Wouldn't you all agree!" Okay so maybe you caught Clair at a rather bad time, a time in which she was practically ranting and raving away to herself while locked safely within her throne room. Well as safe as any one being could be in a devote dimension of undead creations. Of course, realistically Reoite (or Clair) was perfectly safe in this dimension, perhaps most safe but in fairness to the woman she had been through a lot since the shutdown! First of all, did you know a kingdom made up entirely of rotting and decomposing bodies smelled absolutely foul? As in absolutely nothing could surpass how foul a stench it actually produced. As in for perhaps the first few hours while Clair's mind was making the transition to her new body and race archetype she was vomiting and or gaging non-stop! Yeh, it sucked! IT really fricken sucked! And if that wasn't bad enough she also had a very scary run-in with an undead dragon who wanted nothing more than to receive any bit of affection from its master and was practically like a puppy scampering around its owner for a pat or treat. Yeh a colossal puppy that shook the ground with every step and lifted the mage from the ground every time it went to nudge her with its nose. Look it might sound funny or cute in hindsight but in the moment it was terrifying.

And on top of all that the poor woman couldn't find a moment of peace to herself due to the sheer number of summons moving around the place. But fear not after some amount of time Reoite finally managed to calm herself down either that or the system did so for her. And with this calming wave came the clear mindfulness and inquisitive mind of a sage. Reoite went about experimenting with commands, spells, skills, items and effects. She came to no longer fear her undead creations and the smell grew on her. The woman slowly but surely settled into her characters body, spirit and mind and the two became somewhat of an amalgamation. An amalgamation she felt more suited the name of Reoite than Clair but none the less was still Clair. Look it was some complicated shizzle that she decided on but ultimately the moral of the story is! After all the time that passed, Reoite was finally comfortable in her new body and felt she knew an acceptable amount about the operations of her new skills/abilities and the world around her. Reoite was ready. She was finally ready to take her first steps outside her Dark Avalon. Hopefully, the outside world would be just as she imagined. Like Ygdrasil and hopefully connected to the guild.

And so taking a very brave step forward Clair raised her staff and focused on her highest tier spell yet as of the shutdown "Gate!". And with that Clair had done it she had cast open a gate connecting her to the very guild hall she couldn't have been happier to see. Lake Coven. More specifically she had opened the gate within the hidden library itself and with a swift motion, she had finally passed from her realm to the realm of the living. Well hopefully at least. But hey for all she knew everyone could be dead.

Closing the gate behind her with a mere flick of the wrist Clair proceeded to wander around the library with a sense of great pride and relief. Her undead aura which was currently not being suppressed was most likely sensible throughout all the guild hall floors and was more than likely to bring someone to investigate all on its own. Clair didn't know she was even emitting such an aura at current and so continued to wander around the bottom floor in search of any signs of life.

A few hours before the events unfolded

Since the arrival of the Komodo Dragons chapter, the warriors were quick to befriend the populous and making an ever lasting impression. Despite their intimidating looks, their jolly and happy attitudes and good intentions of protecting and establishing friendly relations with the populous. Some found it odd how friendly the Komodo dragons were, as they would be seen helping in odd jobs, gathering and hunting food for the hungry, and even giving medicinal treatment to the ill without needing of repayment of any sorts. Yong despite being the leader and having the responsibilities of managing the chapter, would be seen at the town square telling all sorts of funny tales and adventures to children. Yong who was left as second in command, was mostly stationed at the barracks doing "boring" chapter things (Lots of record keeping, meditating, and giving out orders and such to the troops).

Two Komodo Dragon warriors were both stationed at the northern wall, surveying the terrain and humming songs. One of the warriors turns to his brother with a cheery voice, "Battlebrother, if you may be oh so kind to converse with me on a typical topic. I have noticed that we have yet to greet our creator.......When we were first summoned, I was truly joyous to see all our familiar brothers and sisters once more. Including father!........Yet having the absence of our creator leaves us heartbroken........" He stays silent and the warrior beside him gives him a comforting pat on the shoulder, "I understand where you are coming from brother. I believe everyone in the church misses him, there is not a day where we pray for his return.....DO NOT GLOOM NO MORE! FOR WE ARE THE KOMODO DRAGONS! PROTECTOR OF THE WEAK! THE CREATORS VERY FLAME WHO BURNS THOSE WHO GO AGAINST HIS WAYS!" The two thus commence to laugh in unison and continue to brighten each others day. That was until the attack happened.

(Now)

"DIE FLESH EATERS!!!" The sound of the cracking sounds of mana bolts echoe across the northern walls, piercing through one of the spawnlings chest and sending it off to hell. The Komodo dragons vigorously fight their way up to the northern walls. Within minutes of the spawnlings swarming the walls, the troops manning them were quickly starting to lose cohesion and begun to panic. Yet the arrival of the Komodo Dragons had brought hope to the remaining troops. Several spawnlings who had leaped onto the wall turn their attention to the leading warrior, letting out a terrifying screech. The creatures began to spring towards the warrior, one of them grabbing a soldier by the neck with his back turn. Is seen having his face planted to ground, leaving his head a bloody pulp. The Komodo warrior seeing the creatures lets out a battle cry and inpales the first creature with his massive bastard sword. Yet the creature continued its vicious slashes at the warrior, allowing the other creature to lunge on top of the warrior and bringing him down. "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAH BRUTHA I AM PINNED!!!" Just as he screamed for help a mana bolt lands on the creature on top of the pinned warrior, a splurge of blood splatter everywhere as the now lifeless creature slumps to the ground. Suddenly a burning gauntlet grabs the impaled spawnling from behind and rips it from the sword, having half of its lower body dangling by a mere strand of flesh and its severed exposed spine. The savior throws the creature aside and reaches out a hand to his fallen brethren, who gladly takes it. "Thank you brother *begins blasting nearby spawnlings*, It would appear that these creatures are far more energetic then any foe we've faced thus far!" An eruption of flames can be seen from one of the towers off in the distance and the following chanting, "FOR THE CREATOR!!! BURN! BURN! BURN! YOU FILTHY FLESHYS!!!"

Over at the gates, both Yong and Hanja both back to back and hammering every spawnling that dared to challenge them. Most of which could not bear the intense light and heat that emitted from the two. Yet the creatures continued to grow as more began to befall upon them from the walls, throwing themselves off and landing with a splat of blood and crushing bone. Yet they continued to move their bodies vulgarly. "OHOHO I LAVA GOOD FIGHT!" Hanja freezes in place and looks at Yong with a annoyed look, "Really brother your going to throw puns in a middle of a fight *Hammers creature*."

"Oh come now brudah *uses flam thrower from his hand and scorches a group*, this fight has me......("Don't you dare say it.") BURNED UP! AHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Acles. Do you know where Master is now? I detect a Hostile presence in form of a Demon." Iota's senses activated and her scanners showed the same Information that the Lake Coven had. However. Hive Emperor| Cantabel & Jaxter |Demon King
Cantabel's boasting fell silent as he found himself entrapped and the enemy did as he'd asked and loosed their attack upon him. A small sound, stolen by the wind and urgent sounds from below, was the only sign of him doing anything: the tiny crack of thin wood. Another assailant appeared from thin air just behind him, but Cantabel was too slow to do anything to avoid the two-bladed attack that sliced through his back. He was thrown forward from the attack, but he'd been lucky in the equipment he'd swapped to. The demonic bug had swapped to his mind control set: on his head was a wicked-looking obsidian crown with a glowing violet gem that gave off the vision of an eye staring back {Mad King's Crown}, his body was draped by, nearly buried beneath, a massive heavy cape {Skin of Behemoth}, and around his neck was a thin silver chain with a small blue vial resting over his chest {Blue Heart}. This item set was intended for being invincible against noobs while he tormented them with mental magic, but it was also his most defensive loadout. He'd need that defense if his magic couldn't save him here.

Despite its incredible defensive stats, {Skin of Behemoth} was technically a robe, which meant that Cantabel was able to wear it despite being a pure magic caster, but the trade-off was something that caused any sensible magic caster to settle on more convenient equipment. Its weight was such that the wearer became unable to fly or even jump, and it cut their movement speed to an unbearable crawl. More than being thrown by the surprise attack, it was that weight that sent Cantabel plummeting and crashing down at the bottom of the sphere of sealed off space that the radiant warrior had created. He glared up at her, but he was not yet ready to concede victory to her. [Weaken Mentality] [Boost Magic See Evil] [Boost Magic See No Evil] The violet gem set into his dark crown affixed its eerie gaze onto her and together with his magic cut through her mental resistance. Suddenly the one standing below her was the dual-wielding NPC ally, about to be shredded by countless burning weapons flying through the air. Where he'd been standing right next to her was instead Cantabel. He laughed and plunged a fiery greatsword towards her heart.

The real Cantabel felt the invisible floor beneath his feat seemingly vanish, though really it had simply let him out due to the caster recognizing him as an ally. He finally let go of the charred husk of a dead star that he'd been holding onto as his body was pulled by gravity out of harms way. The countless weapons of Tyr's Armory slammed into the bottom of the sealed space, unable to reach their intended target. But they did manage to pierce the husk left behind by [Pashupatastra], and a flameless burn consumed the weapons one by one, reducing the weaker weapons to cold ash and leaving the most sturdy weapons grey and charred. The burn intended to spread further, but found itself unable to eat away at the invisible barrier. Cantabel breathed a sigh of relief as he fell like a brick of lead towards the ground. His impact left a large crater in the street where he landed, but {Blue Heart} used his MP to shield the damage. He broke another quick-change stick to unequip {Skin of Behemoth}. The penalties were honestly too much, as he'd complained so often in YGGDRASIL. And upon finding that {Blue Heart} must have used the last drops of his MP by his failure to cast [True Flight], he was forced to use up yet another of the cash-shop sticks just to swap out the blue pendant for its red counterpart {Red Mind}. Now he was able to successfully cast the spell, at the cost of some health. He stumbled and had to correct himself at he took flight, an unsteady flight towards the outer wall of the city. He only slowed to send a [Message] to his brother and set off the multiple castings of [Animate Flame] he'd left throughout the city during his earlier flight. He'd raided enough smaller guilds to know the value of preparing a good distraction ahead of time when it came time to bow out. He began to say the words to leave a much larger parting gift in the form of a massive flaming meteor, but they died before reaching his tongue. Just casting that small amount of magic to fly away and send Jax a short message using his own health as MP had felt unpleasant. He didn't like it. So he just turned and continued flying away.

Jaxter found himself teleported, somehow, to an entirely new location. [Detect Magic] hadn't given him any warning, so it must have been some sort of long-distance casting? He could only guess, but it made him uneasy not to know how something had affected him. One of the nephilim had evidently been caught up in the move as well, if the sight of them flying towards him was anything to go by. [Black Virtue of Pride] Jaxter's body flashed with a black aura right as the enemy crashed into him, but with him being invincible in that instant it was as if they'd slammed into an immovable wall. He resisted the natural reaction to counter.

He looked around the space he'd been moved to. He was inside an arena. Looking up he was able to see the high tower, so he was still within the same city. He hadn't been moved far. In a way that was worse. It made sense to teleport something you didn't want to deal with far away. But if he was still this close to where he'd been, there must be a reason for it. This location must house some sort of trap. Certainly it wasn't the three humans inside it, those were no bother at all, and the nephilim had been sent here seemingly by chance. So it must be some other property or function of the arena here. Without knowing what that was, he was at a severe disadvantage.

One of the three humans, an old man with a cane, stepped closer and spoke,"Heheh it's nice to have a good visit every now and then, there is some commotion out there it's good that you're safe here with us."

Jaxter thought that he must be talking about brother's distraction. The old man held out a hand, but Jaxter did not take it. He hadn't yet decided to slaughter his way out of here, and to come into contact with the enemy otherwise would simply leave himself vulnerable to their own attack. Just because the one in question was a human, and an old man no less, did not mean that Jaxter would lower his guard even slightly. He instead took a seat right on the ground in the center of the arena.

A [Message] from his brother came in. It said only one word: "Out." For a second time in as many seconds, Jaxter was forced to decide between slaughtering his way out of this arena and city or wait and see what happened, though the latter now meant going against his brother's direction. Jaxter kept his guard raised, but his many offensive auras dropped. His eyes - golden rings floating in blackness - drifted across the inside of the arena. He hoped that brother wouldn't be mad at him for not coming right away.

Aulรซ Tel-Quessir

Location: Lake Coven's Outskirts | Interacting with: Damafaud Damafaud | Mentions:

In a sharp contrast to everything that was happening with most of the recently arrived players and NPCs - who mostly reacted quite strongly to finding themselves in a whole new world and quickly found themselves entrailed in the weird happenings of this foreign new environment - the lone figure of a slender male peacefully strolled through the outskirts of the Lake Coven's guild base, quietly walking through the surroundings at a fairly slow pace while occasionally stopping to curiously check one of the surrounding plants and demonstrating an unusual degree enthusiasm while doing so, almost to the point resembling a kid who just gained a brand new toy.

Truth being said though, while the apparent lack of visible wariness about the new world may seem a bit weird by most, it was far from something anyone in Lake Coven - and thus capable of recognizing Alishia's second NPC - would find really weird as long as they took a second to remind the personality programmed in Aulรซ. From the very beginning, the Druid was never meant to be someone who paid any attention above the absolutely necessary to anything that didn't interfere with either his job or personal interests - both things that changed very minimally after the transference to the New World.

In fact, if one thing was weird about this whole situation, it was most certainly the fact that the ever-so-indifferent Aulรซ was actually excited when messing around with the common plants around the territory that circled the guild base. In the end, while it was undoubtedly true that the Druid was indeed very interested in herbs and plants - For he was, after all, not only a druid but also the guardian and keeper of the guild's magic garden - that interest was generally reserved to the rare, hardly ever found kind of vegetation whose properties would shock even experienced beings such as himself, not the regular, easily seem grasses that grew all around the location - who were, by all means, remarkably mediocre.

With that being said, even if one wanted to find the unusualness in the scene it would be ultimately impossible to do so, for the peacefulness was disturbed barely ten seconds after the druid resumed his walk after stopping to examine one of the surrounding plants as Aulรซ seemingly found something else to do, rushing towards the nearest native tree and touching it with one of his delicate fingers - causing the spread of a weird ripple not unlike what you'd see when someone touched the surface of a lake as he connected the tree to another, much more familiar tree located inside the Coven's territory - and directly entered the resulting portal to once more step in the garden's whose protection was his responsibility and answer the call he felt through his connection with nature.

"Their assistance shan't be needed, Avena. I am here." The druid quickly voiced as he stepped out of the tree, making haste to quickly reach the other guardian as he didn't wish for his recent wandering to be discovered, quite obviously not all that satisfied with failing to hold his desire to explore the new world back and thus temporarily abandoning his duties - for that was how he saw it, even if he was still in the immediate surroundings of the guild base - and most certainly not very willing to let others know about it. "May I ask what is the reason behind the sudden visit?"

Mirtillo and Nemo

"No, not so fast."

As Cantabel tried to escape and fly towards freedom, another figure in the air addressed him directly. It was Nemo. He was in the sky since the begining of the fight, ready to stop the intruder in case he tried to flee.

[Message:] Mirtillo, shoot at him. Just once.
[Message:] As you wish.

[Arcane Bullet: Blitz Hunter]

Just one electrically infused magic bullet was shot towards Cantabel. It was a bullet that followed its target, dealt electrical damage, and 3 seconds of paralysis to the target and any hostile units near it (tier 8).

As soon as the bullet got into close proximity to the Bug Wizard...

[Walls of Jericho]
[Greater Gravitational Increase]

Incredibly tall walls of stone formed around Nemo and Cantabel, and the gravity in the area increased exponentially. Nemo also ordered all the three Gravity Balls he previously summoned to stand above the walls and use [Law of Repulsion] if the vermin mage somehow tried to escape.

[Gravity Defier]
The Doppelganger cast a buff upon himself to resist the effects of his own spells.

"Do you think this is funny?" Nemo asked as he made a pair of brown eyes visible. His tone was cold and harsh.

"Does this still look like a game to you?"

The sudden appearance of Aule was a pleasant surprise. It was usually quite difficult to grab hold of the Magic Garden's guardian due to his habit to wander. On a particularly bad day, they would need to sweep the whole floor to find him. It was quite task, even with the help of garden and farm NPCs. Finding him without the need to search was truly a strike of luck. Avena started her explanation before she lost Aule's attention.

"Would it be possible for you to cooperate in strengthening the cover for Lake Coven? If I recall correctly, you have the 10th tier spell [Cultivate Forest] in your array of spells."

[Cultivate Forest] was a spell normally used by druids or wizards specialized in crowd control. When YGGDRASIL was still a game, the spell was often used to limit the scope of vision with the intention of catching those relying on precise long distance attack off guard.

"The forest around us as of now is... thinner than the Lady Lake Forest. The chance for a random traveler passing by our garden would not be small."

Before Avena could say more, a flash of red covered her entire vision. Something had activated her [Greater Detect Evil]. Furthermore, from the location of the evil presence...

"Aule," said Avena, strained. "a change of plan. We need to get to the guild hall immediately. Something passed through the temporary barriers I set up and I don't think it has a good intention."

Avena equipped the Staff of Solomon's Death. When she fought outside of the Secret Library, the staff was her most versatile weapon. The gardener NPCs felt something was wrong with Avena's tone and had scurried away, hiding to avoid being targeted by the intruder. While she made haste toward the guild hall, the fact that someone -- or something -- had entered the guild hall and triggered her [Greater Detect Evil] yet did not activated her [Ally Barrier] disturbed her.

What could this possibly mean?

Trost
Madness. It gripped the farming town of Trost like a vice ever since the Demon showed its hand. Lives were lost, buildings were shattered, hope seemed bleak. Or at least that was what a certain masked man thought to himself as he stood atop a roof overlooking the market square. The smoldering remains of the church was his main focus, as is the distant shouts and sounds of a fierce struggle that ensued. So many things happened in such a short amount of time that he wasn't even sure if the people could ever recover or even move on from this.

"This is my fault..." Was all he muttered as he shouldered his rifle and took out an item from his inventory. He took a deep breath and grasp the skull-shaped item that materialized in his hand, [Hopefell Horn]. An underappreciated item dropped by Heart Carvers. Its value in-game was simply to attract the attention of enemies towards the user so its used by tanks. How short-sighted. Hamilton knew the true effect. It didn't just draw aggro, it also lowers the target's defense in exchange for making their attack skyrocket. Hamilton paused as he grasped the horn. If this plan were off by even seconds, he would surely die. He sighed and smiled.

"Nothing ventured...." Hamilton drew the horn to his lips and blew, a loud, shrill, and almost human-like scream echoed throughout the city. The [Hopefell Horn] crumbled into ash in his hands and he crouched, readying his rifle. "Nothing gained...."
"Alisha, get ready."

5 Mins Earlier

"Fools.... HehehaHAHAHAHAAHHA! FOOLISH! TRULY FOOLISH IS WHAT YOU ARE, MONSTER!" The demon cackled as it seemingly dissolved under Jyeen's grip, being replaced by the shredded remains of what used to be a Priest. Nearby, a lifeless corpse rose up before its features melted and the Demon shed another one of its disguises, cackling with sheer glee and delight. The demon hopped up and settled onto one of the cracked pillars, sneering down at the angel, woman, and some sort of yellow man.

"He was the nicest man I have ever known and now he's nothing but mush beneath your monstrous strength. I bet that felt really good, didn't it? To feel a lower life form just being reduced to a paste between your fingers? Hah! Humanity? What do I have to say about them? They attacked first.... All those years back... We demons simply wanted order.... Peace... But then these... PARASITES came... Ruined it all!" The demon hopped about as it started its little rant. It clearly had something it wanted to say. "Then the REAL parasites from the North showed up... Those unkillable, crawling, chaotic worms that prowl around. We just wanted to live a peaceful life but then the HUMANS had to kill us. For peace and order they said. BAH! Excuse me, fleshlings."

The Demon snarled and suddenly leaped away, it was about to bound across the rooftops when the shrill sound of a human scream rattled its ears. The demon screeched and fell onto its knees, its eyes and head darting about for the source of the noise when it saw him. The distant figure of a man aiming a weapon.

"Smile you son of a-!" The loud crack of the rifle echoed through the night as the mana forged bullet whistled through the still air and struck the demon right on its arm. The demon howled. Why? Why did he feel the urge to just rip that man to pieces? It lunged with renewed vigor and strength towards the roof where the man stood. As for Hamilton, he kept calmly aiming his shots and firing. Each seemed to not do much as the demon shrugged off the shots but that wasn't the plan anyway. As the demon got closer, Hamilton quickly descended from the rooftop and backed himself towards the building. The demon snarled and Hamilton could hear its loud cries steadily growing louder and louder. He fired off one last shot as the demon drew close, its charge was never faltering. Hamilton smirked.

"Now, Alishia!" He ordered before diving out of the path of the demon's final lunge. A [Gate] materialized onto the path of the demon's lunge and it promptly dived into it before it closed. "That.... Was a little too close..."

"Alright, now for the rest. Hex, tell the people in the church to keep still. Same for you Acles and Iota. Time we fight on our terms. Alishia, do it." Hamilton sent that [Message] to his fellow Guildmates and ally. A few seconds later, a [Teleportation] magic circle appeared under all the Other Worlders and they were teleported to where the real fight began.

Northern Farmlands, Trost
"What is this...? Where am I...?" The demon sniffed the air and turned about. It was clear that he wasn't in the city anymore and when it turned around.... "I'm outside? Grrgh... No matter.... But it seems more scum appeared... Where did you come from, Bloodsucker?" The demon hissed at the armoured Helnex and the 4 Outer Gate Guards standing about a mere 10 meters away. Before it speak another word, a few more magic circles appeared nearby and a few familiar faces materialized before the demon. And in the middle was a sight that made the demon snarl with pure spite. "You..."

"Well... I guess with this we can all cut loose, don't you think?" Hamilton smirked, drawing out and cocking the hammer of his revolver.
