Before shutdown

Caveria had planned the guild's last event, it wasnt something grandiose as a final raid or such things the other guilds were doing. it was a simple, party, to let everyone remember their times together within the guild and possibly get a real life meet up. At least to the ones that are still around. She had expected there to be little show up but she didn't expect the guild numbers of active people to have dropped this low, she knew that the players dropped drastically after they announced the closing of the game but... Sighing she walked around to talk with some of her fellow guild-mates, some already leaving for work tomorrow unable to be around for the final moments of the game. Where the halls were once filled now were only a dozen or so players left. Some of them she knew very well and others not so much. The latter was much more true unfortunately, looking at everyone she tried to remember from the top of her head everyone and her interactions with them.

The first person her eyes fell upon was Kafka, Caveria didn't think she talked with her much but she does remember her being in most of not all the raids and events when she joined other than that Caveria couldn't think of much great person to fill in space she supposed. The Next member her eyes glanced upon made her eyes shift. "Nyamiko" She was quiet and honestly somewhat scary, she never really had much interaction with her but the moments when she saw her "work" it was quite, disturbing. After that shiver causing eyesore, next was Nemo. There wasnt much for her to say about him other than a dependable guy although she wasn't sure it came from his class and playstyle or his actual personality or not. "Ah, Johnathan" She mumbled to herself. Greer Impetus, real life he was a employee working under her, in game he was quite the reckless wart and loud to a fault, opposite of his real life counterpart now that she thought about it. Oswald Gent was next, he had only joined the guild a year ago, she didnt know much about him but seemed nice so she didn't intrude too much.

Caveria was starting to think there wasn't much to talk about most of the members staying until the official boot out and end of the game, most of the people she had spent most of her time with had either left or just left to begin their busy lives. But Drix was next fun going guy although annoyingly reckless, she remembered a time he ignored instructions and rushed forward, one of the party leaders gave him a verbal lashing for that. Smiling at the memory she went on to the next person Sanguis, Caveria wasnt sure if he was one of those roleplayers that would rather be a completely different person that they would be in real life or not, but if she were to pick she'd hope so. good in a fight though. Fabian, was a unusual case study, Like Sanguis he felt more roleplayer than person in fact she wasn't sure if he was a npc or a player at this point. Last, but not least was Voided Rift. Caveria wasn't sure of what to say about him shy but also cheerful, unusual at the level of 96 at the games end she supposed he was a new comer.

Caveria probably wouldn't have asked for this particular lot to see the games end with but she would rather have them than be alone, with a smile creeping across her face she started up at the clock, 15 seconds until shutdown. "Alright everyone! prepare for the toast!" She corralled everyone into a circle and to take cups of various beverages in their hands, counting down the server shut downs at 2 she held her hand up for a toast and thankfully she felt others peoples cups hit it. Before striking one she closed her eyes and chugged down the virtual beverage.

After shutdown

Caveria tasted something in her mouth, she supposed it was a placebo but when she opened her eyes she was still in the game. Looking around she saw that the other players were just as confused. Maybe they extended the shutdown date? Putting down the beverage she looked at the clock, still running after midnight. They werent going insane, were they? Walking outside she opened the main doors and a rush of ice cold air came in from the outside. Questions raced inside her head, first off the game wasnt supposed to simulate world temperature and second Sigvold was in a temperate climate area, it shouldn't be this cold! Third was the appearance of her one of her npc's walking up to her, Akudez, without permission to do so. She had a grim expression on her face and her whole body language was that of worry and urgency, Caveria was understandably shocked, She didnt have that animation setting. What made it all the more shocking was when she got within earshot of her and bowed down.

"Milady Selvernas, we have detected a disturbance outside the walls." Akudez's voice was serious and professional, not high pitched at all but also not overly deep. Caveria simply stared at Akudez wondering how everything is happening after a cold brush of wind passed by to wake her up from it she shook her head and looked at Akudez once again. "u-um, what is it?" "Skost has reported that the surroundings of Sigvold has changed where there was once plain now is a forest with snow." As soon as she said that Caveria felt snow fall from the night sky, she reached out for a flake to fall on her hand, then she looked at it before it melted within her hands. "I... see, tell her to keep watch and inform me of any new developments." "Yes, ma'am." Caveria glared at her npc still bowing wondering if shes broken or not. "you can stop bowing now..." Akudez got up and smiled at her holding her hands in front of herself.

Caveria slowly went back inside the building and closed the door. "something is definitely wrong" Walking over to the other players she explained their situation to them, The entirety of sigvold seems to have been teleported somewhere, the NPC's are talking and moving independantly, and something is very wrong with their bodies. Sending everyone off to deal with this themselves she stayed behind in the hall and once everyone had left she started to panic. She had kept herself calm until now, but who can stay calm when they were transported into a game and in a completely different body? Her wings were a completely different limb and she could feel them! a sensation that wasn't there before...

Act 1
A Healing World

One day After

Once the dawn sun had appeared over the horizon the Denizens of Sigvold could see the land that appeared in front of them was a long tundra, forest stretching as far as the eye can see, caked in the white snow with a massive river flowing right next to the cities western wall. Curiously the ground near the river was not covered in snow and it seemed to be running from north to south. To the East appeared a singular mountain far off in the distance. Although within Sigvold itself Several NPC's were talking to each other making a ruckus about the situation they were in.
Caveria sat ontop of the highest room in Iðavöllr peering out into the new land, she had tried several times to log out with no avail and was now taking in the geography and sights. With Akudez and Nerono to her side she turned around to them. "Is there anything new to report?" "the denizens of the great Sigvold are uneasy, they are in a new environment they had not been in before. They are confused and need you and your lord's guidance" Akudez bowed again. To be completely honest the bowing was getting annoying to Caveria, she had Akudez's settings to do this and she was doing it rather flawlessly but she never realized how much it would agitate her. "The wildlife sorrounding Sigvold seem cordial at best, most are scared of a city appearing overnight in what looks like a remote patch of land" Nerono's words were quick, and quiet just like the shy man he was programmed to be. Well at least they acted how they should, Caveria turned back around pondering on how to deal with everything, it was going to be a stressful life ahead of her.

Dorian looked about in wonder from the northern wall at the cold and wooded landscape of the taiga. It reminded him of the surrounding area of his home town in Alaska. Spruce and pines stretched out before him as far as the eye could see, as flakes of pure white snow drifted upon the light chilled wind. Unlike the others whom had panicked when they couldn't log out and found themselves in this new world, Dorian was among the first to accept the situation for what it was. A new start. No longer was he Dorian the apprentice blacksmith, but Fabian the Master of the Great Forge of Sigvold, Enchanter of the guild of Insomnia, and Lord of the Blacksmiths. No, he did not fear this new situation, but took it as a gift.

Turning his gaze beside him, his eyes fell upon his aide and companion. "Granuaile, I want you to take Eins and scout out the surrounding area, and then report back to either me or the Guild master of your findings. We may be well stocked now, but our supplies are not infinite." He said to the Sprite woman, getting a salute in response.

"It will be done sir. Anything you'd like us to look for in particular?" She asked rather casually for an npc to their creator. Her demeanor was just as he had programmed, respectful but casual and familiar. He personally hated groveling and formality.

"Mineral veins, clear water springs, and a strong stand of trees for timber, and most of all, any threats to the guild. Eins will handle possible food for hunting and foraging. Now go." The Frost replied before making his way toward the center of the city to meet up with Sylvernas, leaving his assistant to fulfill his orders.

Sitting atop the Grove Heart, Kafka would silently contemplate everything that has transpired in the last two days. Normally, in any similar situation, she'd take to the city, but for some reason she found herself compelled to visit the Grove instead. Multiple wisps and spirits danced through the air above her, singing melodies to distract from the current situation. The atmosphere was pleasant, with only the occasional cold breeze to disrupt from the harmonical stillness of the situation.

The cold breeze... that's right, she can feel such things now, this is indeed her new "real" body. Her guildmates get to be dragons, heavenly angels of war, vampires and she's here, stuck as an overgrown weed... Well, such is still better than what would've awaited back on Earth, that's for sure. This event on its own is very exceptional, something to not forget, unlike all of those mundane days of the past.

"Grey... right?"

She'd mutter, before sighing internally, patting the Grove Heart and standing up. Climbing down from the branches, she'd realize just how tricky this whole situation is; the Grove was created with a moderate climate in mind, a tundra won't bode it well. Something will have to be done in order to compensate for the newly cold and snowy biome, some sort of artificial heating system, maybe? Inari can adapt easily... maybe something similar could be done for the rest of the Grove as well? Maybe just bring this crisis up at a guild meeting, a solution's bound to be found there.

Ground at last. Kafka would take a deep breath. Breath... is breathing even necessary now? At least during the day? She'd stay still for a while, concentrating, unbreathing.
...
So she can do it then. "Breathing" through the skin, basically. That might come in handy sooner or later, who knows?

Her experimenting was suddenly interrupted by a certain Great Horned Dryad, approaching loudly, staring deep into her eyes.
"Inari, awaiting command, I presume?"
She'd manage to keep her calm when approached by an NPC at this point, however, something still felt a bit wrong.
"With the current situation... just make sure that no plant or creature wither, take good care of every--"
Every-one? Every-thing? Bah, what does it even matter...
"You get the point, don't you?"
The four-legged giant would not offer much of a response, turning around and walking off almost immediately.

Kafka would sigh again, what now? Just wait for a command? Think? She'd let her body drop to the ground slowly. Wait and think, that's it, wait and think in the grass...

"Here's to see each other again in another game..." Kevin said as everyone toasted and took there last drink. Kevin closed his eyes and waited to return to his room... And then he didn't. Kevin looked around at everyone as he started to feel strange, like something was attached to his back. The object swinged back and forth. Kevin looked back to see his tail. He sigh in relief before realizing that he shouldn't be feeling his tail at all. Then he felt the cold chill of the air as there guild leader opened a door to the outside. Kevin held himself tightly as he said "Hey close that door it cold in...". Kevin stopped when he realized it shouldn't be cold. The leader, Selvernas, came back and explained what was going on. Kevin was done founded but he it all added up so far. Kevin left with everyone else to there "homes" and see what was going on.

As Kevin walked down the streets to his own, using self made magic fire in his hands to keep him a little warm, a dark skinned demon flew down to him. As she landed her wings disappeared as she look to Kevin. "Mr. Drix! I'm glad to see you. I was looking for ever sense, well it started snowing" the women stated gesturing to the snow. The demonic women in front of Kevin was the NPC who ran his business, Ebony.

Kevin was slight for a second as the idea of his NPC having a real conversation hit him. "Ya... It's good to see you to" Kevin said before sneezing. "Hey could we continues this at the warm the magic shop?" Kevin said. Ebony nodded and traveled with Kevin the rest of the way to Brawler's street. Once there they turned down a ally way. Then Kevin pressed a brick in and magic portal appeared. Kevin and Ebony walked into it... and appeared a brightly lit and warm shop.

"Oh, hey big man. What's up?" A chubbyish human man said behind a counter

"Cold and confused, Tom" Kevin said walking up to the counter. "Get me a warm coat" Kevin said as serious as anything he had ever said before.

"Got it. I already got two coats of minor cold resist for the twins" Tom said going into the back to grab the coat.

"Oh ya the twins... That'll be fun..." Kevin thought about what he would have to deal with in the near future. But for the now he would try to calm down and get warm...

Next day...

After a night of warming himself back up from the chilly weather outside Kevin put on a coat of minor cold resist and head out into the cold city. Kevin began making his way to the center the city to hopefully meet up with the rest of the guild or at least the guild leader to see what there next action were. As he walked down Brawler's Street two cloaked figures jumped down from the roof above and bowed down in front of him. "Typhoon and Fang, good to see you. How are you two holding up" Kevin said looking down to the twins. "You guys can get up already"

With that said the twin lizardmen female got up and removed there cloaks. Under the cloaks they wore thick coats similar to Kevin's. "We are doing well master. We were able to handle to the cold thanks to that human under your employ" The twins said at the same time. "Now master what are your orders?"

Kevin blinked as looked at the two. ...I should of guess this is how they would act... Kevin thought before sighing. "Continues patrolling Brawler's street... and maybe more of the city as well. I have to go check with the rest of my guild mates" Kevin said and as he said the last word the twins bowed once again and jumped onto the roofs and began their patrols. With another sigh Kevin continued to the center of the city.

Nyamiko
"Anee-san, you sure you're gonna be alright?" Ichi's question pulled Nyamiko out of her stupor. Stopping in her tracks, she pulled the cloak closer to her body and 'stared' off towards the sky. A light snowfall sent snowflakes gently drifting down from the heavens and she reached up to catch one. Ichi, the number two and sole human of the Yoshiwara Inn Servants, simply stopped and chuckled as he watched his creator just stand in the middle of the snow while looking like a lost child. Opting for the stealthy approach, Nyamiko and Ichi forgo their armour and only carried their swords, a comical sight as Nyamiko's was long enough to be considered a nodachi when she is in her unarmoured state.

"Snow... Its been awhile since I have seen such clean snow.... Come Ichi, we have some distance yet to cover." Nyamiko muttered as the few flakes that fell onto her palm melted. Smiling to herself, she adjusted her cloak and continued on with her trudge back towards Sigvold. Their new home in this strange New World. Her initial feeling from the night before had long since faded. The idea of being stuck in a body that she must constantly focus on keeping its shape was unsettling to say the least. Add the fact that she had altered senses of perception and 'sight' made her feel little more than confused. Still, she was a little happy. Her own NPCs, the little, slightly dysfunctional crew of Yoshiwara had come to life and were acting just as she wanted them to be like if they were alive. Ichi the dependable and sadistic one, Niiko the energetic and bubbly one, Sanzo the gentlemanly and kind one, Yonju the silent and sarcastic one, and lastly, Go the eagle-eyed and loud one. More than just a loyal crew in Nyamiko's eyes, they are her family now.

"Anee-san, you want to stop smiling like that? It makes you look disgusting." Ichi chuckled as Nyamiko turned to shoot him a 'glare'. His easy-going response of simply shrugging with the same old cocky smirk made her happy. Ichi was definitely her favourite out of the lot.

"Right, right... Seeing as we're almost there, how about this...." Nyamiko sweetly smiled as she reached into her cloak. Ichi raised his eyebrows and wondered what sort of trick his creator was going to pull. "Last one to the gate has to give the loser a massage. Okay? Go!"

"Te-oi! T-That's dirty, Anee-san!" Ichi growled as Nyamiko suddenly took off, shouting out mobility spells to increase her speed. Sighing, Ichi jogged after her. "I hope my massaging skills are up to task...."

5 Minutes Later
"Hm.... I change my mind, Ichi..." Nyamiko grumbled as she 'glared' at the laughing Ichi. The pair made quite a sight at the gate with Nyamiko's immature cheering on her victory only to see Ichi calmly strolling towards the gate. Much to her embarrassment. "Since you made me look bad in-front of Guards... You'll have to buy the whole Crew drinks for the rest of the week. And no taking from the personal stock"

"Anee-san... That only makes you look even more petty... Well... I won't say no to a drink though. I humbly accept my punishment." Ichi chuckled while Nyamiko looked a little too pleased with herself.

"Well. You head back to the Inn first. I'll have to report our findings to our Illustrious Leader." Nyamiko chuckled softly as she said her invented title for their leader. Ichi nodded and watched as Nyamiko teleported away. Finding himself more or less alone on the streets, he gazed up towards the sky.

"Clean snow... eh? Wonder what she meant by that?"

Connor was angry. No, he was beyond angry, he was furious, although he kept it hidden behind a mask of indifference. The rage boiled deep within him, constantly threatening to spill over the edge in a great wave, and making him do something he would regret. Although he was furious, he was also baffled. And for a good reason.

He should not be feeling these emotions.

And yet he was. Any other time, he would have laughed and brushed it off as a dream or an hallucination. But the burning anger he kept locked in a cage within him felt all too real. He could smell the blood of the living beings around him, like the delicious aroma of chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven. The scent of his food being so close had nearly overwhelmed him. It had only been an extreme effort of will that kept him from attacking his living guildmates right there and then.

Of course, now he was hit with an extreme sense of guilt at his near failure at self-control. Hopefully, his friends had not noticed his constant twitching during the meeting, but he couldn’t be sure.

The moment the meeting had ended, and the others left for their respective Districts, Connor had practically sprinted down the streets of Sigvold, shoving NPCs out of the way. He’d managed to reach the Bastion of Skulls and the Fountain of Blood without killing anyone, but it had been a near thing. The moment the blood from the fountain had brushed his lips, his mind began to clear and the red haze that had been sliding over his vision dissipated rapidly.

It had been a day since then. He’d gone out into the city a couple of times, but hadn’t seen any of his fellow guild members. It was during that day that he’d learned of the NPCs….changes, for lack of a better word. They appeared to be alive. With their own thoughts, needs, and emotions. This included both the city’s citizens and his own lieutenants, likely those of the others as well. He wasn’t sure how he felt about it, even though it was satisfying to see others bowing at his very approach.

“My lord, I wish to inform you that the Imps have reported the return of Lady Nyamiko from her voyage into the surrounding area. It appears she has found something worthwhile”

Connor inclined his head towards the voice that had just spoken. “Thank you Magnus”

“Of course my lord” The huge shape retreated into the shadows, vanishing as if it had never been there. For a Demon, Magnus was surprisingly agile and stealthy. Then again, player designed NPCs were typically unusual like that.

Connor let out a whistling sigh through his teeth, before downing his cup in one go and getting to his feet. Picking up his helmet from where it lay on the armrest of his Skull Throne, he placed it on his head. The moment the helm was secure, tiny crimson sparks flew up from the chestplate beneath and seemed to connect to the helmet before fading.

“Guess I’ll go and see what the Torturess has found” Connor muttered, striding towards the door. Suddenly, he paused. Then turned and walked back to his throne. On the other armrest lay a flask. He picked it up and placed in his inventory, which took the form of a miniature violet hole in the fabric of time and space. Despite not being able to access his console, he had quickly discovered that he could bring up his inventory with but a thought. He didn’t know what he would have done if he didn’t have access to all of his potions and equipment.

It was the same with his HP, MP, Skills, etc. He could feel them all, and tell how much they would cost to activate. Unfortunately, warrior builds were restricted in that they possessed few skills that required manual activation. The skills that did, were usually just Passives that could be toggled on and off.

He strode out of the throne room, the enchanted doors swinging shut behind him with a harsh metallic clang. Guarding the entrance to the room were two of his Disciples clad in blood red armour similar to his own, and wearing skull shaped helmets. They snapped to attention at his approach, armoured fists pressing into their chests in a salute. He nodded in return, sweeping past them with broad strides that quickly carried him down the dimly lit corridors.

“Perhaps this news can help distract me from this fury I feel”

Shizira
Alyssa Morrow
Current Karma: +50

Secretly sleeping until the time comes...
...Becoming the 'definition' of withered, what do I wish for?

Alyssa sighed when she awoke and looked at her hands, seeing they were still her very much draconic. She had gone to bed after failing to log out, thinking to wake up from the obvious dream. And yet, here she was still. She sat up, processing everything as she once again realized her wings and tail. She'd get used to those eventually, if this was indeed a permanent thing. The idea of being in a new world as Shizira....that sounded like fun. In her previous life (was it too soon to call it that?), she did alright, but never really got ahead. As Shizira in Yggdrasil, she got ahead not only financially, but power-wise as well.

She wasn't sure what time it was, the only drawback of having her Wyrm Lair underground, but she got up and started roaming around. She soon learned it was early morning, so she took the opportunity to fine-tune her brain to become used to her wings. Her tail, she wasn't really worried about, but she had aerial combat specific skills and if she couldn't get used to the fact she now had wings, she might as well not bother leaving her lair. Her NPCs were helpful, in their own ways, though her drake, Almandine, was more than a little salty about flight practice, so she promised him they'd play with fire afterwards. After three hours, she got a good bit of confidence with her wings and her fire-breath, too. Satisfied, she started to head out, wondering about the plan of action. She didn't much care what they did, as long as it benefited her. As she passed through the entrance to the Lair, Opal landed on her shoulder. The foot long creature curled around, multi-color scales shimmering in the new found light of day.

"Mistress, you're going to have fun today, yes?" the small creature inquired.

"I hope to," Alyssa replied, meandering slowly up to Iðavöllr as she took a path that featured large opening for city surveilance to enjoy the air and sight of Sigvold as a winter-land. As a brisk wind picked up, she shivered and wrapped her wings about her like a cloak. She didn't have to worry about acquiring cold resist, half-dragons weren't especially susceptible to any particular element (though they didn't have very high resist stats for them either, managing to be rather average in that regard). "Why? You have something in mind?"

"Maybe?" Opal answered coyly, earning a giggle from her creator.

"Hold off on whatever you have in mind. Others won't take your humor well right now."

"Aye, Mistress." The poor creature sounded dejected, and Alyssa tried her damnedest not laugh. The previous night when she had entered the Wyrm Lair, she had been shocked to find her NPCs seemingly sentient and as self-serving as she had designed them. Of course, she designed them to be respectful to her and other Insomnia members. That did, however, leave a loophole in their settings....She didn't design them to have any sort respect or reverence for the NPCs made by the others. That could potentially cause problems, but as long as Alyssa's NPCs listened to her and same of the other NPCs for their creators, the problems should be minimal. Of course, she enjoyed her quirky little pet, since that's how she really saw Opal. She wondered what kind of plan Selvernas would come up with. She hoped in involved conquering the surrounding land. Alyssa liked going up against other guilds, and the principle remained the same. She paused in her walk briefly, looking out on the city and all that now surrounded it. This is going to be fun.

Before shutdown

"To the glory days!" Jonathan toasted as he tossed back the drink. Friend and unfriendly alike here was deserving of that much. The game's animation didn't register skeletal avatars as not having throats, so liquids went down fine.

After shutdown

Jonathan tried to blink but couldn't. For some reason his eyelids wouldn't close. And he felt something wet dripping down his chin. Reaching up he felt a hole where his throat should be. This wasn't right, the avatars shouldn't be conveying this. Liquid dripped down and he stared in a nearby mirror as his wine fell through his empty skull.

Jonathan then realized he wasn't feeling things right. His sense of touch was barely there and he couldn't smell or taste anything.

And that there were no menus.

Clutching the sides of his skull with gloved bones, Jonathan screamed.

One Day After:
"AGAIN!" Greer shouted. A few terrified carny NPCs shoved one of their number into the dueling ring. With a flick of his wrist Greer conjures a flock of skeletal crows with glowing cores, which streak towards the carny and explode on impact, reducing it to a burned smear on the wall. The NPC regenerates from the clown tent and moves off as fast as it can.

Rubbing his skull with irritation, Greer tries to calm down. He can't sleep, can't smell, can't taste, and can barely feel anything. Battle helps, but any member of the Guild able to give a proper fight can't be risked getting injured. They'd be needed for when he and the others took over this land and set about finding out what had happened.

But this wouldn't do. Greer drew air into non-existent lungs before exhaling without breath. He needed to stay calm and focused. Jonathan had been too weak to take the strain, so Greer had taken over.

All that was left was to clean up here. With a command, the beer tent opens up and the Carnival NPCs swarm it as their morale is raised. He'd always had trouble with the NPCs, but hopefully that would end soon.

Greer teleports to just outside the highest room in Iðavöllr. Striding in, cane in hand he puts on the air of a rakish gentleman. "And when will we be paying a visit to the city below us, Lady Selvernas? The longer we wait the harder this will be."

Caveria was looking out into the white landscape beyond the city walls thinking about her next course of action, first would have to be scouting the surrounding area seeing how there might be more than just trees out in this forest. Second would be solving some of the city's main concerns being mostly the heating. The former would be the easiest to solve while as for the latter would be trickier, she had an idea but it would only be temporary and it would require herself to lock her inside Iðavöllr until a better solution would come up. Perhaps the other guild members could find a better solution? Stretching her wings which still felt quite unusual she turned around about to address her NPC's to gather the lords, at least, until Jonathan showed up demanding she goes to the city. Earning him a glare from Caveria and the NPC's distain.

"Thank you Jonathan, i was about to go down there myself" She forced a smile and walked past him before turning around to the NPC's "You may resume your duties Akudez, Nerono." They both bowed to her and left through the door without a question. "Message the others to come to the meeting hall, we'll talk about the urgent matters first and work to solve them before working on the less urgent problems." Although she couldn't think of a way to solve the food problem they were going to have, water should be too much of a problem with the large river running by and she guessed they could fish on it but she wasn't sure if there would be any fish during this time of year or was it all year round? They couldn't expect this world to work completely like earth, they haven't even gotten an inkling of what this world has other than what is presumably pine trees in a tundra. Walking out the balcony she spread her wings out feeling the chill, she had a thought about practicing flying but having second thoughts she supposed right now wasn't the best of times fluttering them once again she closed them behind her back and head out her hand in front of her and closed her eyes.

Opening her eyes Caveria was suddenly at the main doors of the great spire, Iðavöllr and opened it to walk to the end to wait for everyone to come in, planning out her list of events shes heard. But before that could happen, in popped in Nyamiko and shortly after that Fabian. A strange combination but she didnt complain, quickly everyone 'filled' the meeting hall, it was orginally made for the party leaders during the heights of the guild to discuss raids and such but Caveria had opened it to everyone soon after the events died down with the playerbase. The walls were adorn with screenshots of the old guild leaders Caveria knew very well as well as a few decorations like their signature helmet or accomplishments like a raid boss defeated with their guidance. The center was a large empty table the food and drinks from the party long cleaned up by the maids, the room was lit up with chandeliers holding several glowing crystals. At the end of the table furthest from the entrance was an elaborately decorated chair, although all the chairs were quite decorated with various gems and weapons and such.

Once everyone was settled and quietened from sharing their experiences, a few in particular earning her pity, Caveria began the meeting with a tired smile. "Thank you all for coming, i know we all have problems right now but we need to solve the more immediate ones. First of all is getting a map of the surrounding area so we know we aren't blind to whats around us. Second is the most obvious, to solve the heating problem i have a temporary solution but we will need a permanent one. The Third is finding a sustainable source of food, some of the npc's inside sigvold are farmers but im not sure this land right now is very good for it." She paused for everyone to take the situation in, hoping they take this seriously and not still think its a game.

Meanwhile by the fork of the river four dark humanoid figures walked out of the forests with Spears, fishing poles, and baskets. They growled and grunted at each other sniffing around for any threats and began to settle their equipment on the ground. "We appear to be safe, make sure you know where your stuff is before the evening settles, especially you Laffa" The humanoid said to another. Two of them sat down near the same spot and cast their fishing lines into the river while the other two walked off to the edge of the rivers fork to cast their lines. "Last nights attacks from the spawnlings are growing fiercer by the night, what do you think the chieftain will do?" "I am, not sure. I've heard rumors we would seek asylum within the federation" One of the scoffed at the thought. Finally they reached the fork and set their equipment down, but before they could cast their lines one of them saw something in the horizon...

"u-uhh.." He looked up mouth agape "What is it?" The other asked before looking off to where the other was and eventually had the same expression. After several seconds had passed the two broke out of their trances and ran back to the other two to explain what they just saw then the group ran back to their village to in form them of the large spire they saw reaching for the skies.

Kafka was on the verge of falling asleep when out of nowhere, she'd jump to her feet. A voice resounded inside her head, telling her to attend a meeting inside the spire. A few seconds would pass before she'd stop frantically looking around, seeking a source of the voice.
"Oh, that's right..."
In embarrassment, she'd let out a loud, dry cough, using hand motions to signal to the nearby spirits to leave immediately. A meeting already, huh? She was about to take a quick nap as well, what a bother. Either way, she'd fix her disheveled hair with the use of a comb she'd pull out of a void opening, appearing out of nowhere. That must be the inventory, weird how she didn't take note of that before.

Using the teleportation ring, she'd beam herself in front of the meeting hall, silently moving through the gates and taking a seat, right before Caveria started speaking. Falling further into hibernation with each passing word, when at last the guild leader stopped her speech, she'd yawn and raise her right hand, simply the way she used to garner attention.
"If I may, the outer layer of the Grove teems not only with wild berries but wildlife as well. We don't need to fully depend on the native land, eh?"
She'd say with a reserved tone, her facial expression not bored, but rather a bit exhausted.
"Hunting in such a dense and thick forest might be a bit difficult, but I'm sure we can handle it."

Letting a short moment pass, she'd open her mouth once more, this time with a more urgent voice.
"Although, if I may again... The Grove itself is in considerable danger. If I could, I'd like to ask for the elevation of Problem n.2 to top position, as I am very unsure just how long the Grove can survive, suddenly thrown into such conditions, without any sort of preparation time."
With that, she'd lower her head slightly, letting it lean on her right arm, which was formed into a fist. Hoping her interception was formal enough, Kafka would lay silent, allowing anyone else to speak up or so, nothing else needed to be said, nothing important, anyway.

Nemo & Co

"Nemoooo-sammaaaa, waiting here is boring!"

Ah, of course, that's how he made her settings. "Yes, Pandemona, I know it's boring. But until we get a better understanding of our surroundings and the potential danger, we must stay put."

Truthfully he was surprised he got over the shock so fast. When he first realised that he actually became his game avatar and that the NPCs where alive, the first thing he did was to ask Mirtillo to shoot him, just so he could test if he were dreaming or not. And the NPC, albeit reluctantly, complied. Yes, that hurt. Definetly not a dream. He was incredibly happy. He had nothing truly worth living for anymore back in his original world. But he didn't know if his remaining few comerades felt the same. Nevertheless, he could not help but be excited. The same could not be said about Pandemona though...

"Since we where transported to an unknown land, couldn't we do some recon with the others? This is the most interesting thing that has happened in a while."
"Pandemona, you are bothering Lord Nemo with your childish behaviour." A deep voice could be heard from the young demon's shadow. "Don't be such a bore Demonbane! Seriously, I can't belive I have such an uptight brother. No wonder you never have any luck with the ladies." No reply was heard afterwards from Demonbane. He was sulking...from within her shadow.

"Pandemona, we understand you are restless, but we where created by Lord Nemo as the main line of defense, the Oyster Squad. Remember your job." Said Mirtillo, the half-elf gunner, second-in-command within the barbican. Demonbane nodded...from within Pandemona's shadow (not that anyone could see him, but he did it!).

"Ehhhh, no way! Mercy, you agree with me, right?" She asked the mare. "I...I am terribly sorry, Miss Pandemona, but I cannot agree." Said the mare, shaking... in its invisibility. "Ohhh, come on Mercy. Don't be like that!" She pleaded.

"His reaction is reasonable Pandemona. There are times when we need to stop and wait." Said Demonbane, from within her shadow. "You speak wisely brother. As expected of a centuries-old lonely old guy with no love life. Hahahahahaha...ha..."

Oh boy...
Ouch!
That was harsh

No reply was heard from Demonbane.

"Please, Nemo-sama, could I just go and survery the area really quick?" She asked with puppy-dog eyes. Gah, that look is too cute, too hard to resist, someone save meee! Nemo was in a pinch.

"Pandemona..."
"Yes, oh wise forever-alone?"
"Behave."
"I will never give up!"

At that point Demonbane got out of her shadow and talked in a cold and authoritary voice. "Enough."
"Yes, big brother. I am sorry." She replied, looking down and pouting. Demonbane, however, felt bad that he spoke that way, and returned to sulk... in her shadow.

"Nemo-sama, please for-..." Before she could finish she felt Nemo's hand as he patted her on the head. "It is fine Pandemona, I forgive you." He said, calmly. The young demoness faced the other way, blushing and acting emabarassed.

Excellently done Lord Nemo!
As expected of a Supreme One!

I shouldn't have made Pandemona as cute as an overly-energetic puppy. I cannot counter such attacks...

It was funny actually. Nemo couldn't act with his NPCs like he did with his guildmates. Probably because they had this impression of him as the cool leader of the Oyster squad, and he didn't want them to be disappointed, or change their oppinion of him for the worse. But with the other guild members, he didn't care...

He was one of the latter ones to arrive and quite frankly, he felt somewhat useless in this situation. He had no idea how to solve the problem with the cold, nor solving their sustainance problems, neither of which where an actual problem for him, but it was for quite some people. As for the map, spies like Nyamiko could obtain something like that rather quickly, if they'd find any town or village closeby.

"I guess we need to..." Nemo changed his appearance to that of a blonde elf with blue eyes. "Do our best." He added, in a pseudo-dignified manner. After a short and awkward pause, he changed back to normal. "On a serious note, though, the only thing we can do is to adapt. Unless we find a way to change the environment to fit our needs." This time he was no longer goofing around. He could mess around more once they sorted out the more important issues.

Drix Drake

Drix already on his way to the tower got the message about the meeting. Drix shrugged and kept going. Son after that he got to the meeting hall and sat down in the nears chair to the door. Drix listened to Caveria and two other guild members. "I think we need to solve the heating problem soon. We have a lot of magic and magic items at our disposal I'm sure we have something to create huge green house dome or something to control the temperature here. If don't want the plants to die we kind of need to do that... And me and the other reptiles in town don't do well in the cold." Drix said before adjusting his coat of minor cold resist. "I have to wear this to not shiver to death" Drix added.

"With that said, I can't do anything to help with that" Drix said chuckling nervously a little. "So I can go out and explore the area around here. I am one of the fastest people here on foot. And if I fine a village or town I can send my NPCs... I mean my people to go there and start forming trade with them and hopefully get some good information of our world. I got many pretty good golem merchants that look like humans." Drix added leaning back in his chair.

Fabian for the most part had just sat there listening to the demands of what was needed to be done for their people's survival. As much as he loved the cold air, and the snow, he had to agree. Standing from his seat, he quickly gained everyone's attention. "Guild brothers and sisters, I should let it be known that i have already sent out two of my own to scout the surrounding area. If Eins finds anything to satiate the needs for sustenance I will report it to Selvernas. On a lighter note, I may be able to manipulate the climate, but i will need some time and 24 large Citrines. If you lot can bring me those, i can construct an array that'll put Sigvold in a permanent state of spring. The surrounding area, in theory could be affected as well, by at least four miles outside the city. Giving us ample room for farms. In theory." The Frost blacksmith announced, his helmet's visor hiding the smug look on his face.
"And just for old times sake..." he said before clearing his throat. In a lighter tone he spoke. "YOU HAVE BEEN OFFERED A QUEST: SPRINGTIME IN WINTER I; Fabian has alerted the guild that he may be able to build an array to keep the guild in a constant state of spring. Bring the Frost 24 large Citrine gems (100 karats each) so that he may enchant them. Quest Reward: Not being cold and avoiding the wrath of Shizue. Unlocks Quest: SPRINGTIME IN WINTER II Do you Accept? Yes or No?" He said trying to keep from laughing. It was a hard battle, but he managed to suppress the urge. "In the meantime, I will have our people open the vents, and allow the heat from the Great Forge to temporarily take care of the heating problem. With the combined heat of the coals, molten alloys and steam, it should make the air warmer for a time. But I can only do so for about three days at most. Anymore than that, and the foundries and furnaces will go cold."

Greer motions with his cane.
"This still doesn't answer how we approach those below us. We're obviously more powerful than them, so we should make it clear we come from a position of strength. If we are to attempt infiltration, I'd suggest using the Carnival. As for mundane solutions to the heating problems, I doubt we're low on flammable materials. Fires will work for now."

It's impossible to tell his expression since his entire body is skeletal, but his tone seems matter of fact.

"Also we're going to need a plan for how we're going to structure it when we take over this world."

This is also stated matter of factly.

"We don't currently have the numbers for it, but with work and perhaps some recruiting from the inhabitants of this world I'm sure we can get an army together."

Oscar sat in his room in the Hunter's Refuge doing his best to try to understand what was happening. The change in weather, the change in location, and the fact that he couldn't log out of the game were troubling... however he currently had a different issue on his mind. That issue being that his head was currently sitting on his desk looking at his body and he was still alive. He could just take his head off and put it back on like it was no problem. What the hell? Sure he had made Oswald a Duluhan because he thought it was cool but he had never thought that he Oscar would become Oswald. If he had known he was going to become his actual character he wouldn't have made himself a Duluhan. Man this was freaky....

Standing up his body reached out and picked up his head. Sliding it back into place and wrapping the scarf around his neck to hide the line where perpetration occurred. He left his suite and went several flights of stairs to the main bar area. There were several NPC's... no they were people now. There were several people sitting in the bar with his two Assistant managers at the bar. Sergey the large goat man was behind the counter dressed in his usual bartender outfit cleaning cups. Gisselle was sitting in the seat directly across from Sergey with her head down on the table. As Oscar entered the room Sergey let out a greeting in the form of a sheep's bleat. Gisselle raised her head and waived at Oscar, "Evening boss, you going hunting?" He was about to respond when a message about a meeting popped into his head. "Not tonight. Guild is holding a meeting. I will be back later." Sergey and Gisselle both waived goodbye as Oscar dissappeared.

Arriving in front of the guild hall by teleportation he made his way inside and took a seat before the meeting started. He listened quietly as the others talked and gave their reports. All the objectives made perfect sense, and it gave him an excuse to go hunting and mapping. Now that he was thinking about hunting his right hand twitched. He really wanted to go hunt... like really wanted to go hunt. The desire to mount his chariot and ride forth was almost overwhelming but he would have to hold it back for now.

Rex had been silently sitting in the corner for some time listening to the concerns of his commrades while pondering his own worries.

Pushing his own concerns aside he stood up and walked towards the group. He wasn't wearing his warrior armor, but instead was adorned with a purple robe in the fashion of a Roman emperor on his head he wore a exquisitely crafted wreath of laruels crafted with gold. The crown was one of his most powerful items it radiated with a soft light that hinted at its magical properties.

"Fabian's plan to address the climate is proably the best long term solution to that problem, however we could proably use weather control spells of the 6th tier or higher to hold us over until then." He paused for a moment scanning the room before continuing, "if necessary we could also use super tier spells to change the weather, though that may be overkill."

He then turned turned his attention towards Greer, "while I don't doubt our strength I believe it might be a bit premature to begin planning world domination. We know so little of this world, for all we know we might be standing on the tiger's tail as we speak."

He paused again as if in thought then shrugged and turned his attention back towards the center of the group, "I suggest we focus on preparing our defenses and establishing a perimeter as well as concealing the guild with illusionary barriers."

"As for the issue of expanding our forces, I agree with Greer supplementing our forces with natives will be more cost efficient than using guild funds to summon mercenary monsters."

Rex then raised his hand to emphasize his next words, "however we do have another solution available to us," with that he, somehow, snapped his fingers and a skeleton vulture flew into the room and landed on his shoulder.

"While conducting experiments I killed a bird using a skeleton vulture summon I then cast the skill again only to find that it used the corpse of the bird as a medium. That was nearly 24 hours ago and this vulture has yet to disappear, we're as the first one I summoned vanished after a short time." Rex allowed the implication of that statement to sink in, as he did he scanned the room again, his goal was to see if he could discern emotional reactions in his guildmates faces.

Ah yes, the Spire. The centre of Sigvold and the Guild Insomnia. A true testament to the dedication of the Guild members. It had taken a long time to build, with much of the Guild’s time spent on grinding the materials needed. The Spire was a gigantic magical conduit, absorbing mana from all around itself. Just by standing near it allowed one to replenish their mana almost instantly. If the city was ever assaulted, and the attackers reached the Spire, the defenders would have a near limitless source of mana with which to make a last stand.

As Connor ascended the flight of steps, he found his mind drifting back to a day when Sigvold had nearly been taken by an alliance of enemy Guilds. He remembered it then, fighting desperately to hold the many breaches in the wall with his guildmates and the army of various NPCs by their sides. The battle had been long and fierce, many buildings in the guild were destroyed, armour rent and broken, mana pools depleted. He had no idea how they had triumphed, but they had.

And then the glorious campaign of revenge had begun. Oh, it had been so satisfying to strike back against their enemies. One by one, enemy strongholds had fallen before them like bowling pins. None could stand against the determined rush of vengeful players. By the end of it, their enemies lay vanquished before them and they had returned home victorious. Those memories were among his favourite of the game.

Game. A word that did not describe their new existence. Not anymore.

He finally reached the meeting room, the guards saluting as he opened the massive doors that blocked his path. He walked in and surveyed the gathering, noting that most of his guildmates had arrived first. It appeared that they had already started the meeting.

“I apologise for being late” He spoke softly, yet with weight, offering a slight bow that was directed towards the Guildmaster. “I hope I have not missed anything important”

Alyssa Morrow

Secretly sleeping until the time comes...
...Becoming the 'definition' of withered, what do I wish for?

Alyssa had just started walking back up when the message came, loud and clear. With an amused sigh, she moved up to the meeting hall. She listened to what everyone had to say, but she was a bit disappointed. Then again, the fun stuff would be saved for later. And she'd help ensure everyone made till later. That being said, she could help map out the area and hunt some as well.

It seemed like part of the third issue was solved by the Kafka's Grove, but that made the urgency for a solution to the sudden climate they found themselves in increase. She felt Opal shift as Nemo take his own turn speaking. Upon hearing the faerie dragon hiss softly with laughter, she stared pointedly at the creature until it ceased and hid within the confines of her wings. She listened on as Drix spoke his mind on the matter as well. He brought up several good points. And the other's continued offering various solutions as well. Fabian even went to far as to announce part of his idea as cheesily as before. Shizira had to cover her mouth to ensure she didn't burst out laughing. Luckily, Opal didn't seem to be in on the joke. It helped with the conversation turned serious again, but she still felt very light-hearted. Especially when Greer voiced his own want to go about conquering the land. A man after my heart, she thought. But that would have to wait. The needs of the guild was more important than solving their boredom.

Rex was the next one to offer his opinion and he brought up were interesting as well. The implications of having their spells and skills last longer were dazzling, to say the least, though it made little difference to her. Most of her skills didn't last long, as her build wasn't made for long and engaged combat scenarios. Shizira was made to get in, take 'em down, get out. It made soloing hard, but in a group, it was divine. Still, she could see how her guildmates, and herself in the long run, would benefit from it all. Sadly, however, she had nothing of note to be said, so she merely listened on.

Nyamiko
Guild Meeting
Of course the heat issue will be the first... Nyamiko quietly thought to herself as she listened to the points brought up during the meeting. Despite being the first one there, she simply opted to let the others speak first, knowing that her revealing the fact that she went out of the city without approval from Selvernas would likely be met with an uproar and panic due to her... actions in the old game. Still, she secretly enjoyed surprising her fellow guildmates by being useful once in awhile.

"Well... Now that the heat and food issue is out of the way. I-" Nyamiko started before the doors to the meeting room opened to reveal Sanguis ambling into the room with almost no care in the world. A sight that made Nyamiko 'narrow' her eyes in barely contained disgust. The sight of him just ambling in with a half-assed apology somehow reminded her of her old life with that one pain in the ass assistant manager who comes and goes as he damn well pleases. Shuddering slightly, she shook that thought from her head. Times have changed and there is a new law in action now. A New World awaits.

"Nice of you to finally join us, Sanguis. You didn't miss much, just a few potential solutions to the heat problem and food. Oh and Fabian saying something silly which I shall not comment on. In fact, you are just in time for the best announcement yet." Nyamiko smiled softly before reaching into her yukata and pulling out a rolled up scroll. "I know how some of you feel about me acting without permission from our Illustrious Leader but I took the initiative and went off for a... stroll with Odenta to scout out our surroundings. I even had him draw a map while we're at it."

Smiling, she shuffled towards Selvernas and placed the scroll before her. Rolling it open reveled a simple map showing a few distinct landmarks within walking distance from Ioavollr.

"Now, we were able to identify 3 areas of interest from our little morning stroll. The first is what seems to be a temple off to the Southeast, across the river to the east. Since its winter and I don't want to know if slimes can freeze, we simply noted down its location. Second, it looks like a bunch of ruins in the forest to the West. Not wanting to risk my life and Odenta's, we didn't go close to see if there was anyone or anything living there." Nyamiko paused for a moment to let it all sink in.

"Now to the North is nothing but a big rock and another river but what I saw from the top of that rock may be the best thing yet." Nyamiko smiled softly, her eyes narrowed as she pointed at the drawing of a cluster of buildings to the North. "We found a village, about medium sized with humanoids in it. It was from a distance and I'm not a magic caster so I couldn't use any high tier scrying spells to get a better look but I suspect that it might be a trading town based on the size. And with that, I end my report." Nyamiko bowed before shuffling back to her seat and settling into it. A small, barely noticeable smirk forming.

Sanguis

Connor narrowed his eye behind his crimson faceplate at the thinly veiled jab in Nyamiko’s words. Nevertheless he said nothing, merely taking a seat beside Dorian/Fabian. He didn’t care much about Nyamiko’s insults. It was her way, or at least the way of her character, and he had never let himself take offence at such petty behaviour. He’d gotten lots of negative looks and comments back in the real world from people who saw his helpful attitude as pointless. As such, he was quite experienced at ignoring those kinds of people. Taking off his helmet and placing it on the table, he fixed his blood red eyes on the assassin as she made her report. By the end of it he was nodding. The first signs of civilisation. Good. It meant that they could acquire more information about the world they had ended up in.

If they were going to survive in this world, they would need information, and lots of it. Who knows what could be waiting for them out there. There was no guarantee that they were stronger than the peoples of this world. Caution was the best approach right now. It wasn’t really a berserker type thought, but breaking character was the least of his worries.

The temple and the ruins sounded interesting too. Not as a source of information, but rather a chance to blow off some steam. He felt he needed it. He was still keeping his anger under lock and key, but he knew that it was only a matter of time before it was unleashed. He would prefer to let it out in a manner of his choosing, and not a passing NPC, or worse, his guildmates. Yes, these two locations seemed to good an opportunity. He could only hope that something was there for him to fight.

Reaching into his inventory, Connor pulled out his blood flask and looked at it for a moment before shrugging and taking a swig. He wondered if there was such a thing as consuming too much blood, and if there were any negative effects. The sweet taste was certainly no different. He sighed in appreciation as he put away his flask. If there was such a thing as too much blood, then he would find out at some point.

“Well, I think we can all agree that this is good news”
He remarked with a nod in Nyamiko’s direction, before gesturing at the map on the table. “At the very least, we know that this world is inhabited. If we send a party to this town, we may be able to find out more about this place and the people in it”

Voided_Rift

Every since the guild meeting began, Void had been stacking pillars of stolen coins on the table where he rested the elbow of the furry hand that held the side of his face. It was a funny feeling, having fur and all that, and after running through the snow-capped city all night that day, he'd picked up a few things and learned the relevance of staying calm. Though to contradict that, Void had been thinking about the Pros and Cons of possible permanent residence in this strange land. Then again it wouldn't really be strange since he and all the players here already ventured about it a few times in order to get where they are now. Of course, that's before their bodies changed with their new surroundings, both being very real; how real, they had yet to find out.

Taking a soft breath he tried regaining ground in the current meeting, his actions surely coming off as rude, but at the same time he himself didn't have anything to add that the others hadn't already sorted out. For instance he recalled food being brought up, and surprisingly enough, Void and his crew currently had in their possession a ton of edibles left behind by the players to last them through til.... Lacking an estimate his saddened features rose at Nyamiko's discovery, and the mention of forming a party caused a minor shift in focus as upon stacking his seventh pillar he got carried away with its height, and merely froze as all 45 coins clattered across the table and floor.

"...Sorry about that everyone..."

Greer cocked his skull to the side.
"The question then becomes who do we send. We know next to nothing about the inhabitants of this world and don't want to cause too much of a stir until we've gathered intelligence. They should be able to blend in without drawing suspicion and gather resources along with intelligence. Of course a raid on an isolated settlement would remove the need for that and I doubt the survivors would be able to withhold information."

Greers fingerbones twitched. He needed a release. At this point even an attack would be welcome for the opportunity for battle. He was the best duelist in the guild when it came to spellcasting and using battlefield.

He'd picked up a habit of clacking his bones together that helped keep his mind settled. It wouldn't do to lose control.

Void had just made a mess. With a snap of his fingers, Greer caused the coins to rise and stack themselves into stacks of 5. "Stay on track, Void."

Before Nyamiko post
Caveria listened to everyone's suggestions, thankfully there were few other problems than the ones she had listed and the ones that were talked about had been solved other than their lack of information they had. But there were a few she still had concerns with, turning to Kafka who was the first to offer a solution to a problem. "Are you sure your grove can supply us with enough food to sustain us? what about storage? or what if we need to go on a long trek?" It was great that they had some sort of sustainable and renewable supply of easy to get food but her time being in a leadership position both has guild leader and as a real life ceo had taught her that she should have back ups for everything. Plus she doubted berries would sustain most of the inhabitants of Sigvold, perhaps she can order some of the NPC's to level some of the trees around here...

The next problem was the heat and climate control of Sigvold itself, Kafka herself said that the grove might not survive in it so climate control has been bumped up as the number one problem for now. Luckily there was more than one solution presented, the first one was from Drix, it was her least favorite out of the four and possibly the most ridiculous although she hid her thoughts about it not wanting to discourage others from throwing out ideas. The second proposal however was her favorite, From Fabian out of everyone. it sounded like the perfect permanent solution but the downside to it was that it required resources, resources that apparently they didn't have? Which had struck her rather dumbfounded but she didn't question it has she had to get through the other recommendations, maybe she'll talk to Fabian later.

The next man to talk had knocked her train of thought out of order, It happened to be none other than Jonathan, earning another glare from her. "Jonathan, what are, 'those below us'?" Was he talking about our own NPC's? it couldn't be he was talking about infiltration, Jonathans further disregard for his fellow guild-mates was both disturbing and agitating. Putting her hand up toward him after he finished signalling him to stop she started questioning him. "Hold on a second there, what do you mean 'take over the world'? who said anything about taking over the world?" Caveria was starting to question if he was still disillusioned that he was still in a game or not. Maybe she'll have to talk to him too later, although rex's words about their lack of knowledge seemed to have brought Jonathan's ego down.

Rex? she didnt remember him during the party... "A control weather spell would be the best temporary solution but do we have any casters here that knows this spell?" But before she could make that point clearer he started talking about what Jonathan had said about using inhabitants of the world. "No, we will not be using any inhabitants of this world, Greer, Rex." Her tone was firm, she was very much against the idea of starting fights, she honestly couldn't believe how some of her guild-mates seemed to think of it as an after thought... Once things have settled down she should have a one on one with everyone.

After Nyamiko post

Normally, Caveria would've been upset at Nyamiko for going out on her own but for the fact that she had brought back valuable information of the surrounding area she was grateful of her usefulness, but it did seem that she only got a overview of the area without too much detail. Ruins, a temple, and the one that will bring the most discussion, a village. The village being so near Sigvold made her worry, not just of them being discovered but also because of Jonathan, who seemed all too eagar to start fights and Rex who, at least was interested in the idea. "Great job Nyamiko." She forced a smile to her. "You said that you spotted humanoids around the village yes? can you elaborate? were they human?" The less than idea situation had made Caveria somewhat stressed out and agitated, some of the guild-mates didn't alleviate that problem either. It might've been better if Nyamiko had giving her this map in private before showing it to everyone.

Putting a finger on her chin she studied the map, "there are roads from the village that leads further up north, there might be a larger country than this village here. Which means we should be extra careful with how we approach this." Caveria was thinking out loud, but making sure the others heard her words in case there was some miscommunicatio- Her train of thought was interrupted once again when Voided Rift dropped some coins, rather loudly which pried her eyes away from the map to give him a stare before turning her attention on Jonathan again. "How large is this village again?"

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

A little bit away was a peculiar bird that landed in a nearby tree that seemed to stare at Sigvold with curious eyes, on first glance it was a perfectly normal bird however on closer inspection its chest was completely caved in and hollowed and it was missing an eye. Cawing once, it took flight once again to circle the strange city with the glowing spire twitching its head left and right reconing the area most notably taking a look at the walls buildings and inhabitants, the more magically sensitive that could see the magical flow that was being siphoned into Ioavollar could see that this very same bird was avoiding the streams with heavy magic. Doing this a few times over it finally decided to land on the spire resting and watching the city from up above.

On the ground there was a a hare that hopped into view of Sigvolds walls tracing the entire place until it found a gate, or a weakpoint of the defenses. The hare had completely white fur to blend into the background with beady black eyes and two stubby horns on its head. After seemingly accessing the walls it hopped away. Skost's guard noticed the hare and reported it in but didnt think too much of it.

Words, words... Words. Words? Words!
Kafka's eyelids were already closed as her name was being mentioned by Caveria, trying to act as if she was paying attention the whole time, she'd straighten her stature and stutter out her first sentence, a look of disarray resting on her face.

"O-of course, as long as the entire animal population is not genocided on the first go..."
She'd offer a nod, her facial expression shifting from panicked to lightly cocky, mirrored by her tone.
"Doubting me is outright silly, that should have been established over the years, right?"
Surely enough, Kafka was not one to usually fail, although when she did, she did so hard. Brushing that thought aside, she was indeed fairly certain of her ability to keep the Players and at least a part of the city well fed. With that said, after a short while, she'd close her eyes once more, she's just resting them... not going to sleep or anything.

...

By the time Rex even started speaking, Kafka had already drifted away to the world of dreams. A silent transition, one that was hard to even notice, since, during meetings, Kafka was usually about as active when awake as when she was not. Her short siesta would be brought to an end however, when a certain someone decided it would be fun to loudly scatter some coins around the table.

In spirit, Kafka would jump all the way to the ceiling, in body, her reaction was way tamer, a simple flinch in her chair, as she threw Void a soul-piercing look of absolute hatred and contempt. She was not the overly expressive type, but may the gods help anyone who disturbs her sleep...

Regaining composure and restraining herself from yawning again, she'd now give up the thought of sleep entirely, instead listening to what was being said, since a map had been brought into the equation. Her knowledge currently restricted only to the fact that there is a village of some sorts, she'd eavesdrop anything and everything, hoping to catch on to more information, since asking for a recap would raise un-needed suspicion.

Fabian looked on in silence, as his eyes traced over the map. Apparently not too far to the north of Sigvold was a small mountain. This would prove useful as both a quarry for stone, but a definite mine for useful minerals. Even if it were a lowly copper mine, he would find a use for it. Especially for some of his more daring projects. Reaching out, he tapped his finger on the portion of the map representing the mountain. Upon removing said finger it left a small icy structure resembling a small outpost. "On your word Selvernas, I'll send a score of Sprites and the Forge Master to begin mining operations. If it's barren of any mineral wealth, the quarried stone could prove useful." The frost said clasping his hands upon the table in front of him. "Sending the Forge Master will ensure they're not accosted by any of the natives, while also carving out a usable road from here."

Sitting back in his seat, Fabian continued. "With any luck, if allowed, the mine could sport a large quantity of quartz. If that were the case, then the possibility of finding the Citrines we need will be all the more higher. I will also send Eins along with the Forge Master to prospect the area."
