Personality: In real life ????????? ? ? ? ????????????????? ? ? ? ???????????????? ? ? ?????????????? ? ?? ? ? ? ? ? ?? ?????????????? ---------- - ----------- ------------------------- ----------____ _ _ _. Inside the game, Hex generally had a friendly and outgoing personality... with some people. Quite frankly he only had nice interactions with the higher echelon of players, who were not childish enough to go on and on about Heteromorphic crusades. In fact, he was the opposite. He killed humanoid players (without carring about the temporary penalties), which is the reason why his race is marked as "tainted". He even seemed to have a sadistic pleasure while doing it. He was one of those gamers. Regardless of liking other players or not, though, Hex was always cryptic and ellusive when there where talks about life outside of the game.

Background: During Yiggdrasil's years of glory Hex was known as Mr. Kill Joy (along with less nicer monickers, carefully selected by salty players, but let's keep it PG-13), because he always killed humanoid players when they where praying on noob heteromorphs, to gain exp and access to certain jobs. Obviously, this enraged many humanoid players, but most of them where reluctant to attack him, and those who did failed miserably. Not necessarily because he was great in PvP, or had the necessary knowledge and tactics to shake them off, or because there would have been penalties on their side for killing him as well, but mostly because he had connections. Even if he played solo, he was friends with powerful players, humanoid and heteromorphic alike. And those players belonged to great guilds.

Hex went through many difficult quests and tricky requirements in order to gain some unusual job levels and to evolve to a transcedental human once he reached level 100. Because he killed humanoids and chose the eldritch path when he had a choice between "redeem" and "accept the horrors of the world" during a quest called Spiritual Convergence, Hex's racial class was deemed "tainted", which gave him a series of advantages and disadvantages similar, but lesser in scale, to heteromorphs. Nonetheless, even if his race was still humanoid, from that point on the system treated him like a heteromorph. In other words: no penalties for killing him. When people found out, some of the salty ones formed an alliance just to kill Hex every day, and hopefully for them, force him to quit the game. It did not work like that...

Sure, he died a few times, but Hex and his allies made sure to pay them back ten fold. And during his rampage, he also stole a world item called the Metacoin.

Despite all the help that he gave to his online friends and viceversa, Hex never joined any guild. He stayed solo...even on the game's last seconds.

Outside of the gaming world---ERROR---

Guild: none

Noteworthy items:
  • The clothes he wears are actually high level equipment.
    • His gloves function like wands/scepters for close-quarter combat, but also have the ability of doubling the range of his attacks.
  • The smoky, hat-wearing skeleton on his shoulder is a level 100 NPC which Hex called Omen, created by the Metacoin, an administrative-type World Item, which is based on probability and transforms into a trickster-type NPC which varies in level and skills depending on the user's luck when flipping the coin, and which will attach itself to the user like an extra item. Omen can become invisible, sense the moment of death, only cast a few strong spells, with a 50% probability of success, depending on dice rolls, and cannot attack, but is imperivious to physical damage and 50% resistant to magic. If killed or taken away from Hex upon possible defeat, it will revert to its original form, Metacoin, inviting the new user to try his luck with getting a new NPC.
    • Omen 50% chance spells:
      • Double Trouble- doubles damage against a foe if succesful (regardless of the level of the skill and regardless if it's magical, physical, or both). Reduces damage by half if not.
      • Purity- deals pure damage to a foe if succesful. Deals no damage if not.
      • Boost Maybe- Increases physical attack temporarily, twofold. Halves it if not successful.
      • Arcane Bane- Increases magical attack temporarily, twofold. Halves it if not successful.
      • The Wall- Increases magical and physical defense twofold, temporarily. Halves it if not succesful.
      • Need for Speed- Increases agility temporarily, twofold. Halves it if not successful.
      • Miss Match- user can evade one attack or skill regardless of power, if succesful. If not, it will cause Hex to take double damage.
      • Wheel of Fate- when Hex is close to death, Omen forces all enemy forces to stop their movements until he throws the dice. If successful, Hex will not die, regardless of the effect(s) of the item(s), spell(s), or physical attack(s). Self-explanatory if unsuccesful.

(As Ragare Lupus)
His mind is under the effects of the Cursed Knight, limiting his rationality and ability to think.
He gives off nothing but murderous intent and the thirst for blood, his deep hatred of humanity radiating out from him
enough that he can easily be sensed even when he is hidden. He is unable to speak properly, only resorting to Groans, Roars,
and distorted short words to speak in and out of battle.

Armor of the Sangvis Ferri / For Wrath's Glory:
A Legendary-tier Armor owned by Medraud and was given to Ragare, the armor harbors the essence of wrath and that of vengeance. enhancing his attacks by 20%, boosted by 10% if the armor is covered by blood. The Armor also absorbs the blood spilled on to it, healing Ragare for a small portion of health. it also allows Regare to be immune to Instant-kill attacks and negate 25% Physical Damage dealt to him. The Armor also has an active cosmetic effect, a black fog that emanates around the wearer causing him to look like a shadow. the only things visible through the black fog is his blood-red eyes radiating anger and the silhouette of his armor, the armor is also capable or repairing itself and the user should it takes damage, twisting back a dislocated limb to its proper alignment should it comes to it. causing immense pain which fuels his bloodlust.

Ragare renamed this armor to honor his friend that helped him get used to this armor.

Background:
(As Amamiya)
Born to a rather wealthy family. Amamiya was that of an Upper-class living in comfort along with his brothers, Prior to YGGDRASIL. Amamiya loved to play Video Games with his Brothers, often playing as a Knight who wants to save the people and slay those who dared to break the peace. at age 25, Amamiya watched his father get arrested under the charges of corruption, He was nonetheless angry at the what happened to his family, He couldn't take the real life anymore, thus he looked for ways to get himself amused until one of his brothers showed him a DMMO RPG game, Amamiya at first didn't like the idea as he might become toxic due to being lost in it and get easily enraged, but an Idea came into his head, Immediately allowing his Brother to install the MMO RPG game YGGDRASIL, he played on this time as a Berserker, focusing his anger more on attacks rather than being toxic to the world chat. as well as to release the stresses in his life while his brothers took care of the business.

Since then. he earned some respects from a few players for being a ferocious player in battle. forming the Knights of the Abyss with a player named Gwenthelian and her Brother Arcturus_the_Lion.

(As Ragare Lupus)
One of the former Gwenthelian's Knights of the Abyss Guild member before its disbanding, Ragere Lupus is an unholy warrior, A Black knight with an unbendable will of steel and unmatched skill with a great sword. He gives off nothing but murderous intent and the thirst for blood in battle, fighting like a beast than a man, despite all of these, Amamiya just acts out as him causing his fellow guild members to actually think he is enraged but in truth he goes does it to release stress in life as well as hide the fact he is still soft inside and trying to be in character.

When the news of the game shutting down reaches to them, Gwenthelian ordered those who are able to go online back to the Guild. from there. Ragare Lupus came immediately along with the Knights, Bedwyr, Gwalchmei, Agrovale_the_slayer, GarettBeaumaine7, Medraud, Parzifaforever, Their caster and healer Morgaine Defaine, their Range specialist Tristão47, Gwenthelian's brother, Arcturus the Lion and Kay who is the eldest among the Guild Members. As the time draws near. they decided to have a one last hurrah before they stop playing for good, a Friendly match was decided with the aim of battling against each other, Ragare emerged victorious.

despite of the nearing shut down. he told all of the guild members that he will be staying online until he is forcibly logged out for good, Thieir leader returned the home they once lived in back as a normal dungeon before. one by one they said farewells to each other until he was the only one left. Ragare left their place and kept walking and walking until he could not see their former Guild house anymore while watching the timer ticking down while walking to the unknown before coming to rest on a Stone in a middle of a field to close his eyes for abit.

Creator/Owner: Right0fAll & N0thingLeft
Right0fAll was a male half-elf (human and high elf) paladin. N0thingLeft was a female half-elf (human and dark elf) assassin. In-game they were half-siblings, and an extremely competent team. Outside of the game they were just a couple who loved gaming together, though IRL Right0fAll was actually the girl and N0thingLeft was the guy. They always got a kick out of confusing people with that.

Name: Helel

Ein Sof (5) (Requires one to have fully leveled every class of angel and defeated the Ten Great Angels of the Tree of Life and summon the secret 11th Angel)

Personality: Helel believes himself to be god. Not an omniscient god nor omnipotent god, not yet at least, but a god nonetheless. He tries to be a benevolent god, who would rather heal and protect the lesser beings than destroy them. Well, except undead and demons, those he wastes no time sending right back to hell. Everything and everyone is a lesser creature to him aside from the Supreme Beings, whose status is higher than that of gods. Even if it goes against his nature, he will obey the will of the Supreme Beings, but he tries to comply with their orders in the most gentle way he is able to come up with. Helel also has some very child-like parts of his personality. He can be impetuous, stubborn, cheerful, and sweet, just like a real child might be. Helel truly believes himself to be the reason that his creator left, and it's that thought that torments him constantly. His entire personality can break down in an instant if that issue is brought up.

The players Right0fAll and N0thingLeft were not the first players to defeat the Ten Great Angels of the Tree of Life, not even close. But they were the first players to collect the cores from all ten and then discard each one in order at the top of the world tree, fulfilling the conditions for the secret 11th Angel, Da'at, to appear. Before you ask, yes the programmer responsible for this was a huge Dragon Ball fan. Da'at gave to the pair a consumable item: 'Bit of Yesh', with the description 'Just a little something for your trouble. -Yesh from Ayin'. Having absolutely no idea what this item would do, it was a while before they decided to use it. But when they finally did... it summoned a level 1 angel. Woo.

But after their initial confusion and disappointment, the pair found that they had full customization control over this summon, and that it wasn't really any kind of summon at all, but a permanent NPC. Helel started off useless and weak, having to soak EXP from his creators' kills, but soon he was able to solo most monsters the group encountered, and once that became too slow they had him grind out the last few levels by doing the Ten Great Angels. They even went through the trouble of summoning Da'at again, thinking it might give them something again. And it did. Da'at gave to the duo an unreasonable amount of gold and rare crafting materials, and to Helel granted the title of Ein Sof. The duo received a notification congratulating them for completing the secret 'Birth of Ein Sof' questline.

Right0fAll and N0thingLeft continued playing consistently for a full year after that, excited to search out more hidden secrets within the game, but they never managed to find anything quite as amazing. During that time, especially towards the end, they poured all of their time and resources into powering up Helel, "their baby" as they called him. The best items, the best armor (which he rarely wore due to having bonuses when not wearing anything), and the strongest weapons. Eventually they started to log on less often, but even if weeks or months passed, the instant they appeared online Helel would be there waiting with his programmed greeting. The last gap where neither logged on lasted for over a year, but still Helel was there waiting when Left0fAll's half-elf materialized.

He walked, and Helel followed, and he talked about how he was getting married and really didn't have time to play games anymore, and he talked about other things, and Helel listened. Right0fAll had just wanted to see if Helel was still around and how he was doing, but after checking Helel's equipment and items, he changed Helel's settings so that they could fight (even though Helel was still unable to deliver a fatal blow to his creator, the settings meant for practicing). Right0fAll, being a skilled player with access to a special class and all of the best items and equipment, should have been able to beat an NPC whose every spell and move he knew by heart, but that wasn't how it went. Right0fAll didn't use his most game-breaking weapons and skills, and even being rusty from not playing, he wasn't fighting with his all. It was like he didn't plan on winning from the start. At the last second of the fight, Right0fAll turned off the safety settings preventing Helel from delivering a fatal blow. He never logged back on after that.

Helel stayed there, where he'd killed his creator's character, waiting for them to reappear, for years. Tic... tic... tic... And then the servers went dark, and Helel fell to the ground and cried until he could cry no more. For some reason, he could no longer feel the connection to his creators. He'd always been able to tell where they were, but now there was nothing.

Helel is currently wandering aimless in this new world he finds himself in, transformed and disguised as a child beggar. He rewards those whom show kindness, but for the most part does nothing to those he might have punished. After all, he, God, is the one who committed the ultimate sin. He has no right to punish anyone. So he simply rewards. Maybe he can find redemption by being a benevolent God. As if anything could expunge the sin of attacking a Supreme Being, of killing a Supreme Being, of killing his creator, his father.

Name: Neire

Gender: Female

Race Type: Puppet

Karmatic Alignment: -200 Chaotic Evil

Racial Levels:

Puppet (10)
Job Levels:

Crafter (8)
Necromancer (9)
Illusionist (10)
Stealth (6)
Assassin (8)
Soul Catcher (8)
Soul Transfer (9)
Poison (10)
Charisma (7)

Personality:

Before being transfered Neire was very shy and awkward, barely interacting with other players ,relying on her own skills and later her npcs to do her tasks, being modeled to act as the supports she would ever need in the game. However, after being transfered she lost any empathy towards other living beings, and while her trait of acting by herself or her NPCs remained, her difficulty to interact with other persons was lost, replaced by a cynical and sadistic personality, threating other livings beings as toys for her amusement.
Her interactions with Non and Mare bring her original personality in some cases, acting as a timid girl who relies on the support of the two.

Background:

Neire was a person that had troubles fitting on any enviorment, she was restricted by her own inability to act by herself, always relying on someone else. She thought that by playing the popular game YGGDRASIL she would be able to interact with other players, but it did not last long for her to realize how helpless she was, panicking by the sole thought of asking anyone else for help. Still, she enjoyed playing YGGDRASIL, as such, she continued playing with her avatar being modeled ironically after a puppet. Eventually she created Non, a doll that would act as her protector, and Mio, a Vampire Puppeteer that would act as her "Support". While it proved to be difficult, she managed to take on hard quests with her pair of NPCs, continuing developing their skills and stats, while increasing her own character level. When the news that the game was going to be shut down, heart broken she logged in to have a couple of last hours with the two companions she spent the game with, have a farewell and return to that disastrous enviorment she was trying to escape.

Or she thought.

Personality:

Non acts as a Doll in most cases, being held by Neire or Mio until it is necessary for him to take action. He ignores interactions of other beings unless they threaten Neire or the group. He regards Neire with absolute respect, and he usually bickers with Mio in order to have a competition to get the favor of Neire.

Has the catchphrase "All is for my mistress"

Job Levels:

Personality:

Mio acts as the support of Neire, often giving her suggestions and support of the actions she takes, while in other cases she (literally) helps her move forward. She usually acts around humans and other beings nicely, pretending to be human and in most cases as the puppeteer of Neire, an actor following the script that Neire usually tells her to take. While she respects her creator, she sometimes can act rashly in order to make Neire act to help herself.

She teases and sabotages Non very often.

Personality: In her human form Ball Breaker seems like a proper young lady, speaking politely and acting well-behaved, at the very least with the Great Lords of Insomnia. Her true persona is cold and ruthless, as well as incredibly sadistic. She will rile people up, then slowly tear their body and soul apart with great satisfaction. On the other hand, while she is quite the battle junkie and itches for a good fight, she is also logical, calm, and mentally organized. She puts the safety of the guild and the succesful completion of her missions above her guilty pleasures.

Background: BB was created as the lead NPC of the last line of defense within the city, before reaching the castle. Liquid Sn4k3 was a fan of martial arts fantasy, thus he wanted to create a few NPCs inspired by Wuxia and Xianxia novels. His options where limited by the game's job levels in that aspect, so his NPCs are Monks.

1540257923791.pngName: N0thingLeft "Noel"

Master Assassin (10)
Shadow Stalker (10)
Shadow Assassin (10)

God Slayer (5)
Perfect Assassin (5)

Personality: N0thingLeft was a chatty extrovert, always willing to strike up a good conversation. He had excellent mechanical skills from playing countless other games, so for most content he was fine goofing off and still do what he needed to. In-game heshe was a spectral assassin that dove in and out of combat like a gust of cold wind, unstoppable and biting, always leaving at least one target dead, but more often culling whole groups, and the whole time she'd be laughing and calling out to talk to the ones she was cutting down. Her favorite thing to do was scare her target before going in for the kill.

Background: N0thingLeft is actually the player's second character. His first was a male magic caster, but he created N0thingLeft to match Right0fAll's off-gender half-elf paladin character when they were dating and started playing a lot together. He enjoyed min-max characters, and the hyper-offensive killing machine that is N0thingLeft is his favorite creation. Though the pair started as members of a larger guild, they soon left and formed a private guild of their own. They would then spend countless hours adventuring together, becoming one of the strongest guilds around for only having two players. With Noel's ridiculous damage and Roan blocking everything used to take her down, they were a potent pair to say the least.

Though they'd been offline for years, upon hearing that the game they had met in was going to be shutting down, N0thingLeft and Right0fAll logged in a few times just before the end for nostalgia purposes. They spent most of the time just looking around and taking in the world, but they also settled some old wagers from when they'd played more often. The big one they hadn't gotten around to back in the day was who would win in a fight, Noel or Roan? As expected from a fight involving an assassin with stupid amounts of burst damage, it was over in a flash. Noel barely saw her entire health bar jump from full to empty as all of his damage was reflected, and then Roan's blade stabbed into her.

Guild: Gwith0utD

Templar (10)
Holy Knight (10)
Saint (10)
Sword Saint (10)
Shield Lord (10)
War Priest (10)
Barrier Master (10)
World Divider (5)

Personality: Right0fAll was a cheerful young woman. She used video games as an escape, meaning real world stress and whatnot never entered into the character she played. In-game shehe was the indomitable paladin, a hero that loved to show up in the midst of conflict and swing the tide with huge buffs and heals, on top of his own considerable power. But the hero would rarely speak in these situations, since the woman behind the bulky male avatar enjoyed fooling people into thinking she was a guy. So he'd often come off as a stoic hero that saved others without a word. Roan was talkative enough when it was just he and Noel though, or even in a small group. He enjoyed laughing and taking dares about what sort of ridiculous entrance he should make next time. Whenever he and Noel weren't busy exploring somewhere or farming something, he really liked to help out rookie players.

Background: Right0fAll started playing because friends said she needed to try this new game. Well, she got into it and soon her friends moved on to other games, but she stuck around. Roan, the silent paladin, joined up with a guild just to tackle harder content, and that was how she met the player behind N0thingLeft. He was the one who finally got her to talk in-game, though she didn't like to announce that she was a girl even then because it messed with the whole heroic white knight character she was going for. They talked a lot outside of the game, and after learning that they weren't incredibly far away, they would occasionally meet up. The two started dating, and soon after left the guild to start their own.

When Roan beat Noel in that final duel, he spent a little while afterwards just enjoying being inside the game one last time. It was nostalgic and sad. He gave their little angel-child NPC the sword he'd used to win against Noel, as a memento to remember them by when... everything went black he supposed. Then he equipped another sword and changed Helel's settings to combat mode. The battle was much different from how Noel had simply been deleted by her own bounced damage. Roan let himself fall into old attack and defense patterns, enjoying every block and counter and strike. He was proud of the NPC they'd raised together, and Helel didn't go easy on him. The angel launched magical attacks that decimated the surrounding mountains and revived himself when Roan thought he'd finally won. Helel's most powerful magic was completely blocked by Roan's defense, and even his special skills could only wear through more and more of the paladin's shields. And when Roan was content with the fight, he went into the angel's settings and turned off Helel's restriction to not attack his creator if it would cause death, and then let Helel's attack hit. As he was blown away by the beam of light, he gave one last farewell to the little angel. "Remember us." Neither N0thingLeft nor Right0fAll would logged in again after that until the day the servers shut down.

    Hive King (10)
    Hive Emperor (5)

    Job Levels:

    Elementalist (Air) (10)
    Cursed Caster (5)
    Psion (10)
    Controller (5)
    Blood Drinker (5)
    Blood Soul (5)

Personality: The player of Cantabel, whose real name is Jesse, is an incredibly kind young man. He was never the most outgoing, but he had a good head on his shoulders, and that was sending him places. He used YGGDRASIL as a way of communicating with his younger brother and made sure to continue this ritual every day even after he'd gone away for college. Despite being a model citizen in the real world, in-game he embraced his old chuuni persona and spent countless hours playing with his little brother running around in low-level areas lording over and often outright PKing much weaker players. They were not well-liked at all, but with his brother's mechanical skill to deal with most individuals who tried to punish them and Cantabel's sensory skills to warn whenever a larger group was sent after them, they managed to avoid getting caught more often than not. Jesse spent a lot of time building and customizing Cantabel so that he was as close to a vampire as he could get without actually being one - those racial penalties for vampires were a bit harsh in his opinion - so that he could act like a cheesy vampire in-game.

Background: Jesse was an only child for the first five years of his life, and then Jackson was born ad everything got more complicated. Jesse didn't always like his little brother when he was younger, but as he grew up he felt guilty for those selfish feelings and made it up by going out of his way to show his brother that he did love him. When he figured out that his brother really liked video games, he'd give him new ones to play whenever he could. When they started playing more multiplayer games and DRMMO games he felt that Jackson was actually enjoying playing with him. When they started playing YGGDRASIL and Jackson immediately loved it, Jesse made sure to learn about the game so that he could keep up with his brother and share what he'd learned. He even helped his brother plan out his berserker drain-tank build before they fully leveled it, and he bought the special job classes minimum and maximum for him when they were added to the cash shop because he saw a player using them and seemed to want to try them out. He was playing just to spend time with his brother, so he wasn't ever bothered by his little brother being so much better at him. He still laughs when he thinks about the time his brother beat a player 20 levels higher than him in a PVP arena duel. It was like watching a bear swiping at fish and never quite getting one, Jaxter would always have reacted and moved out of the way long before the attack hit where he was. The player had been so mad about losing that his friend had demanded a duel right after, but Jesse had to inform him that he couldn't fight Jaxter that day because his bed time was in a few minutes. The guy's character just froze, so Jesse had to imagine that he was trying to understand that he'd just been soundly beaten by a player 20 levels lower and had a bed time, so he was probably picturing a little kid. It was hilarious.

  • Jyeen is the 13th Floor Guardian of the long abandoned guild Carnelian Lake. Unlike many of the other guardians she is not purely a Custom NPC but a Culmination of bonuses won by the ex-guild master Zom NomNom from Game Administrators from several design competitions and other contributions from guild members. Inspired by Zom NomNom passion for American Slasher movies, she is the most comprehensive NPC made by the guild, with her actual coding be more inline with a novel due to its sheer length. He gave Jyeen the position as one of the floor guardians of the penultimate floor in order to allow them to be used effectively for reconnaissance with invaders by stalking invaders through the upper floors, their Hellish Rejuvenation ability ensuring there return if defeated with great insight into the invaders potential and abilities. This also made them suitable to be sent to test the defenses of opposing guilds with their exceptional defensive abilities needing opponents to expand the majority of their mana and most powerful abilities in order to despatch and in the process gain invaluable information while also making them more vulnerable to attacks. By the end of their efforts, Jyeen herself would be considered a World item in her own right especially due to the Game Administrators alteration to her classes and body.

Carnelian Lake was constructed in the remnants of a Guild-Based dungeon created for one of the first special Halloween events and further customized by the guild members who managed to successfully traverse it to be awarded the World Item "Carpenters Will" which was instrumental in the forging of the guild headquarters. The guild itself gaining remarkable success in its years, adjusting there guild headquarters upper levels as a challenge of sorts for other players that not only improved their reputation, but also allowed them to test new mechanics out, scout potential recruits and refine their own tactics. They even gave out a few items as prizes now and again as rewards for those who actually managed to get past created challenges, with the added benefit of expanding there contacts with the players that enjoyed the horror theme of the dungeons levels and in turn the guilds capabilities and influence. This along with the fact the entrance itself could be moved or even overlaid existing areas made the discovery a item of excitement.

Though all things must eventually come to a end, with the slow decline in the playbase population and the guilds upper rankings slowly leaving one by one. Yet Zom continued with those who stayed to try and create more elaborate floors or challenges to little avail. Claiming writers block, he himself would leave promising to return, but nobody came. The Guilds halls empties, floors NPC's and Denizens left without purpose in wait until the fated day the servers would finally go down.

Though upon awakening in the new world, many things began to change with the area simply being known as the Black Forest at the edge of the world, no known nation having returned after entering through its floors with exception of one man who became known as Mad Danforth, formerly the adamantine adventurer Lionheart Danforth who returned alive if barely. Having been let loose to allow the story of the place to be known though the state of his sanity make those wonder just what dangers lurk in the forest. Jyeen herself has taken to attempting to control what remains of the guild as they wish to find out the truth of the new world due to being seen as the Inheritor of the Craftsmans Will and Embodiment of Carnelian Lake.

1541936176312.png Name: Ignis (Yasuo Akira)

Gender: male

Age: 30

Race Type: Heteromorphic

Karmatic Alignment: -500 (Chaotic Evil)

Racial Levels:
  • Spectre (15)
  • Bogeyman (10)
  • Pumpkin Soul (5)

Job Levels:
  • Scythe Eminence (10)
  • Knight of Chaos (5)
  • Slayer (10)
  • Ego Murder (5)
  • etc. (40)
Personality: Ignis behaved rather calm and collected in real life. He apparently did not invest himself emotionally in anything, was strict, and approached each and every situation in a completely logical manner. That was a bit different from his gaming persona, to say the least. He expressed himself freely and laughed... sadistically each time he killed another player. He also liked to troll people a lot, in multiple ways. He basically used Yiggdrasil as an outlet for his stress. Yet now, in the New World, with his new body and negative karmatic alignment, his personality will suffer a few changes.

Background: Yasuo was an accountant in real life, and didn't really enjoy it. But the salary was good, and there were not many job opportunities one could choose from in Japan, so he just put his disatisfaction aside and worked hard without complaining. One day, he'd go up the social ladder, he thought. But it was a long, tiring process, and he eventually realised that he was merely one of many disposables. Yet he dilligently continued his work. Despite the shitty bosses, and toxic collegues. He moved on, trying to dettach himself from it all. But he was merely human, and all humans had a breaking point. Before he could reach his, however, he discovered Yiggdrasil.

A world that temporarily made him escape his monochrome life. A world in which he had freedom. A world in which he got killed multiple times a day.

Wait... what?

Indeed, his choice of playing a heteromorphic race came with a price. He also made the unusual choice of playing a Warrior Spectre build, which came with a penalty. Spectres where generally intangible and unrestricted by gravity, but he made a choice to make himself physically tangible through a complex quest, and his intangibility became an active high-tier skill, while his ability to soar trhough the sky freely was completely removed. All for the sake of playing that unusual build.

Later he'd get stronger through a Hollowen event in which he gained racial levels in the rare Pumpkin Soul class. And with the levels he previously gained in Bogeyman, he'd obtain the ability to shapeshift. Among other things, he could grow wings and regain his ability to fly. Not only that but he could physically harm noncorpoereal beings such as ghosts, which helped him in both PvE and PvP.

PKing would eventually become his main hobby in Yiggdrasil, as it was the best way for him to relieve some stress after a hard day's work. He would later create the dreadful guild Harvest, known throughout the game as one of the top PK guilds. Ignis himself killed so many players, that he broke the game record, thus the admins gave him a special job level called Ego Murder, as well as a scythe that was beyond divine class items in power, yet not strong enough to rival guild items.

He became incredibly sad when he heard the game would shut down. All of his guildmates already left and he was just sitting alone in the throne room, reminiscing about the good old days.

Background:

At first she didn't think she would stay too long playing YGGDRASIL, but the customization, specifically the skills that had relation to animals got her addicted to her character, as she loved them in real life.

She stayed on multiple guilds as she progressed in the game, she thought it would be fitting to be a nomad in reflection to her characters appearance, until she remained alone during the last moments of YGGDRASIL, offering healing assistance to other players but never sticking too long to them.

What it appeared to be a simple farewell on her account on the last day of YGGDRASIL's servers was instead a dramatic turn of events.

As a Buddhist Engineering student Kichiga is optimistic and wants to save the world. He wants to build devices that make a better quality of living in third world countries. Tools that help farmers grow more food to help fight poverty. It is in many ways all of his dreams and desires to build and craft.

This makes him come off a bit distant and inattentive at times, but that is normally because he is instead thinking about all things engineering, crafting and science.

Which is where his hobby comes in. He dreams of advancing humanity through crafting and engineering but that gives him a fascination and appreciation for the past and how far humanity has come. So he has a deep enjoyment in getting to play that role in a game, and getting to see himself become the very best crafter, much like he aspires to in the real world. This is an outlet for his competitive streak that he can not normally revel in during school hours.

This lead to his hyper specialized build. His classes in smithing even earned the genius tag when one of his very first efforts was to attempt to find and make titanium armor instead of steel.

Since then he became a bit of a local legend and would normally provide crafting services of any kind for only a tiny fee if you brought him the materials, it was this nearly free labor that lead to his rapid rise in so many different crafting classes and let him experiment and learn so much about the games crafting system that he ended up a sage and expert on a number of things related to his crafting.

Dark Saber- Modeled after the blade from the weapon with the same name from Ryu's favorite fandom. The weapon is powered by dark magic crystal in the hilt. The "blade" can be dispelled and respelled mentally from the owner of the weapon. Besides this, the weapon has a great deal of armor piercing properties, making it cut through almost all but the strongest types of armor.

Personality:
Ryu or as he calls himself in game Helnex is a man of few words. He prefers to make his point with action and doing things instead of talking about them. When does have to sit down and talk Helnex is a serious person who mainly wants to get to point of the conversation. Though after joining the lake coven guild he has been working on becoming better in a regular conversation. That also goes for his minor anger issues, though on both accounts he has ways to go. He is very loyal to his friends and guildmates sense they have helped progress a great deal in his personal skills and made his life... fun.

Background:
Ryu had an interesting start to his life, being that his father was an infamous member of the yakuza. Max's house wasn't the most healthy place to grow up in but Ryu found distractions from that in fiction. Ryu enjoyed watching a large number of movies, such as Star Wars and different martial art movies. When Ryu went into his late teenage years his father became an informant for the police and was put into the witness protection program. So the few connections he had with other his age and almost anyone else was cut off, which of course was no help for Ryu's mental condition.

After Ryu and his family moved and began their new lives Ryu was giving a gift from his father to try to say sorry for his action up to then. The gift was a copy of YGGDRASIL. Ryu didn't forgive his father just because he gave him a gift but Ryu tried the game anyway. It turned out that Ryu enjoyed the game and it became a new hobby for him. Ryu based his character on the many villains he saw in the movies he watched as a kid, to strike fear into his enemies... and look cool.

In YGGDRASIL Ryu play style focused on getting his goals done and did fairly little party activities for the longest time in the game. In fact, he didn't do any until he was living on his own. The reason he decided to finally team up was so he could get rare materials he needed to finish a weapon he had been working on for a long time, the Dark Saber. He teamed up with a smallish guild called Lake Coven to do this task. After his task was done Ryu was planning to leave the party when something strange happened, he was offered a place in the guild. For reasons Ryu still doesn't understand to this day, he said yes.

After that he became an important member of the guild. As he spent more time with the guild he starts warm up to them, more than anyone else before really. This newly found friendship made Ryu genuinely happy. Though like most things it had to end at some point and that point was the servers going down for good. During those last moments, Ryu was rushing back to the guild to say goodbye one last time to his friends. But before he could reach them the servers shut down... And he was still running but where to now is unknown...

Personality:
Charismatic. Most people would describe him as that. Courteous manner, eternally polite, Drevis completes his appearance with a charming attitude. He dislikes large crowds, preferring a small knit group where only those that matters are around. Despite his friendly mannerism, he is also a bit aloof, putting a distance between those really close to him and those not so close. Of course, this is only around those he cares about. When in a situation where he doesn't to be polite, his sharp tongue can send a nun into rage, despite himself smiling all the time he deliver unpleasant remarks. A tongue of silver has no need for swear words, after all.

What most people don't know of him is his pettiness. He dislikes being ignored and will hold grudges until he can avenge them. He respects law and rules but will try to go around it through existing loophole or paying favour through the right person. Cunning, yet respectable. To those who know him, Drevis is a figure both to love and to be cautious of when they are against him. Few know him closely, but he holds them dearly once he cares about them.

Background:
How would a successful lawyer with a working wife and a boy in his late thirties spend his evening? Believe it or not, the answer was playing a VMMORPG. Revin heard of the game through one of his client, an irritable brat with mountain of money from his parents, suspected for an assault case. The brat's alibi was backed by the data of his play time in the game and, with persuasion of words and money, the log from the server side. The case done and done, how the game ran behind the scene piqued the interest of the lawyer a bit, which prompted him to make a character. Then he fell for the game.

In a satirical reference to his job as a lawyer, Revis' character Drevis was a devil. He, bearing a vein heart, threw himself into the game and was determined to be one of the best in the game. Which he, grudgingly admitted, was impossible without fully throwing himself into the game and damaged his career as a result. Unable to choose the first path to success in-game, Drevis decided on an alternative.

Cash items.

Oh, he had enough money to throw around; his reputation, though not squeaky clean, was well known enough for him to be able to live for two years without seeing a decrease in his lifestyle. His wife job as a day trader helped. As if mocking the effort of many addicted gamers, Drevis paved his way to the top with money. By no mean he was a poor gamer himself. Heteromorph players were target for PK by YGGDRASIL Players. Rich heteromorph players even more so. He had his share of beatings, but he prevailed. He himself became known as a Player Killer himself, and it wasn't too long before he joined Harvest, a PK Guild to solidify his position in game.

When the game fell in popularity, Drevis kept playing. Though the amusement provided by the game was one reason, the amount of money he threw for cash items amounted to quite a sufficient amount. Abandoning it would be a waste. For that reason, he stayed. Stayed until the last day, when there was no more player to kill and nothing else to proof. Even so, he stayed. When the number of players dwindled, Drevis left Harvest to wander on his own. On the last day, he returned to see the guild. A temporary housing, if he couldn't call it home.

Personality:
Candy is an angel. Angels are good. Candy, therefore, is good. Like an angel, she has an innocent, childlike view of the world. Angels see everything as black and white and Candy, being good, hates bad people. As a principle, she despises liars and those who hurt others without a reason. Her justice compels her to protect the weak and fulfill noblesse oblige. Candy is an angel. Angels are the epitome of justice. Therefore, Candy is an epitome of justice. A girl who has no hesitation in her actions and believes in her own justice without the slightest hint of hesitation.

Of course, as someone who belongs to a PK Guild, her view, to others, can be said to be quite... interesting. Her value of 'good' and 'evil' is based on her interaction with other NPCs and members of Harvest Guild. To not hinder one's progress and advancement in power, any means necessary that does not goes against one's values is allowed. It is wrong to lie, but twisting the truth is not lying. Hurting others without a reason is evil, yet with proper reasoning and justification, it is necessary for violence to be done. After all, beyond the civilised world, animals will do anything to survive. Why should humans be exempted?

Background:
Created to fill the role of Guardian Overseer, Candy is a character built around the premise of a holy fighter. Her capability in close quarter combat is top notch though that does not mean her magic capability is lacking albeit a bit specialised.

Once awaken in the New World, she somewhat takes the role of the Guild's daughter and being very attached to her creator, other guild members, and fellow NPCs who she sees more as family than boss. Calling other father, uncle, aunt, sister, and brother becomes the norm for her.

Personality:
For most of the people that meet him for the first time, Aulë is undoubtedly fitting for his role as one of the few who achieved the ultimate height of the druid class, porting himself with an air of aloof etherealness that automatically makes one unable to see through his feelings, the druid seems to be inherently unable to fit in a crowd, inherently passing the impression of being unmoved no matter what happens around himself - something that quite a few considered being a sign of arrogance without a further thought, for he indeed seems to port himself in a way that seems to denote that anything that happens in the world is beneath his notice. Even if he does, indeed, politely converse with those who make the effort of going past first impressions and effectively talk to him, Aulë is mostly described to be incapable of effectively focusing in a conversation for longer than a few seconds, often seeming to be lost in his own mind and unable to actually pay attention to anything that doesn't directly concern subjects he's especially enthusiastic about. Of course, this basic description solely based on superficial observations is far from making justice to the mage. In the end, his reputation is the thing that misleads people into thinking that his attitude is a result of lack of care for the world or pride, often preventing people from actually realizing his true, massively absentminded self.

Those who had the opportunity to truly know him, though, have long since understood that, rather than the uncaring overly conceited person others paint him to be, Aulë is more of a permanently distracted daydreamer, permanently unable to leave his own musings alone to check the real world for even an instant. For this reason alone, he is often incapable of reading social cues or make sense out of people's feelings and mostly finds himself incapable of accompanying a conversation for long unless it directly aligns to the things he muses about in his mind. Even so, while he is undoubtedly not very adequate for social interaction, Aulë is ultimately quite the gentle figure prone to temperance, being remarkably calm and humble in bearing - at least inside his mind. He also seems to be quite the philanthropist since even before crossing to the New World and is surprisingly fierce when it comes to his humanitarian beliefs, being a strong advocate of equality for all the races and a strong defender of living peacefully while keeping the current state of the new world, as he believes that nothing good would come from unnecessarily involving the weak natives in the guild's matters.

Physical appearance:
x

Background:
Originally made with the maintenance of Witch Garden's Field, Aulë's character and background are built around his role as a druid, making him a man as closely tied to nature as it was possible in YGGDRASIL, both a keeper and a defender of the coven's most valuable herbs and properly equipped for such an important task, with all of his abilities being centered on using his connection with nature to unleash a multitude of different abilities - be they the usual benign spells of druids or unique abilities meant to unleash the fury of nature upon those who dare to defile it.

In the New World, though, the Sage classes dumped on him mostly as a convenient way to raise his magic related abilities seem to have a much larger impact than what his creators could ever imagine, making him away more of a wise-man than planned by giving him a wide array of knowledge about all kinds of things and naturally endowing him with all the abilities needed by a true Sage as well as their urge to gather new knowledge, that soon came to disturb his peaceful lifestyle due to how absurdly strong his need to collect data about this strange new world was.

What the awakening didn't change, though, was the reclusive nature programmed on him by his creator, that ultimately ended up covering his newfound abilities and urges as he just concentrated in continuing to silently tend to his tasks, unable to truly use the unique production class for anything but making his gardening a bit more efficient and somehow managing to suppress his desire for traveling through his loyalty towards his creator and unwillingness to abandon a task given by her... At least for now, that is.

For now, that is.

Clad in a combination of Drake Leather and Adamask Chain, with Galvoln pauldrons, greaves and gauntlets, along with their signature pointed helm and iron shackle upon their right wrist symbolically binding them together; The Legion was tasked as an elite guard for the Forge Lord and the guild, as well as Shock Troops, able to take an area and hold it against long odds and prevail.

Personality: Ken is a kind boy with a gentle nature. He was one of the more outgoing children of his age group, both in regards to socializing and physical activity. His family wasn't particularly well-off, so Ken was often stuck playing older D-games than the ones his peers were playing, since those were much cheaper. Ken was so excited to get to play YGGDRASIL when his parents gave it to him as a present. YGGDRASIL would have been his first DMMO-RPG, so he doesn't know how these kinds of games are supposed to be played. He just thought it would be fun to run around as some sort of hero fighting monsters and saving princesses and all that sort of stuff.

Physical appearance: Ken is a plain-looking young boy with blue eyes and black hair. Since he'd only gotten as far as setting his hair color to black before the game glitched out on him, all of his starting clothes were set to black as well.

Background: Ken knew nothing of YGGDRASIL shutting down when he was given the game as a present and he hooked in to start playing it. He'd just started making his character - getting only as far as putting in his name, race, and gender, and then choosing his eye and hair color - when the game shut down. But instead of kicking him out, or even throwing him into another world, it simply glitched him out off the customizing menu and threw him into the beginner tutorial. There was just a few problems with that, like that he hadn't gotten to choose a starting class, and that the tutorial interface kept bugging out, and that this tutorial was happening in another world and against a very real monster. At least the tutorial monster looked cute...

Dark Coven Queen
Dark Mages are a type of Majin who possess high magical power and command of various spells. They are a very rare class and are frequently confused with the "witches", but unlike them, who were made witches through another's intervention, the leaders of a coven etc., these "dark mages" are human women who possessed strong desire and natural instincts comparable to that of both the undead and monster classes. Having unconsciously absorbed absurd amounts of surrounding malintent and mana from anything and everything around them these women after unleashing and submitting to their lust for power and desire, awaken as dark mages. Unlike the witches, who are typically one with nature and sometimes also use their spells for their organization and groups, the dark mages who fell due to their own desire are generally hedonistic and self-centred, and their spells are used for the sake of personal pleasure. This race is classified as both a human race and spell caster race.

Dark Elders are the next step up in the evolutionary tree of Dark Mages. This race specialises in both the buffing and debuffing of targets and requires that all fifteen points of Dark Mage are invested and an overall level of fifty has been reached in order to be unlocked. This Race has a number of passive buffs and debuffs which are as follows:
Buff: Enhance Buffing (x7%)
Buff: Enhance Debuffing (x7%)
Buff: Enhance Mana Limit (x7%)
Buff: Enhance Summoning (Summons Gain Resistance to debuffing x5%)
Buff: Enhancement Magic Resistance +5%
Debuff: Take 15% more Damage Holy Magic/Light Magic and enhancements
Debuff: Summons cost an additional 5% mana
Debuff: Buffing effects on allies are now reduced overall by 2%
Morph: Undead Aura = You are now Classified as an Undead losing all human race buffs/debuffs and gaining those of the undead race

Dark Coven Queen is the final and ultimate evolution of the Dark Mage. It is a top-tier race and an extremely rare one at that due to its very specific play style and severe Achilles heel. To unlock this evolution one must first reach level 90 and then allocate the maximum amount of points into the following race and job skills;
Dark Mage, Dark Elder, Wizard, ,Summoner, Necromancer and Forbidden Arts. Once all the requirements are met the Race tree will be unlocked as well as it's Specialist Job: Dark Monarchy
Upon spending all five points in Dark Coven Queen the user will gain the following buffs/Debuffs and these will stack with those from previous evolutions of the race.
Buff: Gain an extra two summons per 24hrs at no extra cost.
Visual Buff: All summons now bear the insignia of the queen (a purple crown symbol imbedded on their skull/forehead)
Buff:
All summons now benefit from buffs 10% more
Buff: Forbidden Art spells are now 10% stronger at all tiers
Buff: Any enemy undead summons below tier 7 will come to fear you and as such will gain a 7% chance to change sides in the battle
Buff: raise mana limit by an additional 7%
Debuff: Buffing effects on allies are now additionally reduced by 13%
Debuff: Take 35% more Damage Holy Magic/Light Magic and enhancements
Debuff: When struck with a tier 7 or higher Holy/Light spell all summons will take damage equal to the total dealt to you in addition.
Debuff/Buff: Your aura will make NPCs warry and untrusting of you and your allies unless they are grown men in which case you will charm them.
Morph: Gain Job Skill- Dark Monarchy

Dark Monarchy: A job skill exclusive to the Dark Coven Queen Race. This Job skill unlocks several spells that aid in building a kingdom of obedient and ruthless undead summons. It also unlocks schematics for specially decorated undead buildings and themed items.

Dark Monarchy Spells:
(Tier 8) The Queens Guard- This spell allows the user to special summons a total of 9 marked summons from her kingdom. These summons spawn instantaneously and do not count towards the summon limit of a day.
(Super-Tier) Dark Avalon/Kingdom of The Queen- A God tier spell interlinked with the queen herself. This spell is first activated upon evolving into the race role and from that point onward is linked to a guild hall through a summonable portal. This spell creates a special district in which the queen can store her summons and create a kingdom for herself. Through the spells 'The Queens Guard' and also through the spell 'Spiteful Defence' The queen can call upon her summons in her time of need.
(Tier 8) Spiteful Defence- If the guild hall the queen's kingdom is connected to is attacked the queen reserves the right to open up a spectral gate on all floors a flood the hall with her summons.

Equipment:
Abyssal Staff- A unique staff rewarded to players upon completing the limited time questline 'To Hell and Back'. This staff is a top tier weapon and sports the unique effect of causing all of the wielders spells to have a deep purple glow. Although purely cosmetic in nature Reoite loves the effect and is very fond of her staff. (included in picture)

The Robes of Malintent- Another unique item rewarded to players for the completion of a timed questline. Dropped by the final boss in the grand accumulation of the questline 'Magnificent Malificence' this robe/garment sports the unique effect 'Magnificent Malificence' which grants the user the ability to cast an enrage spell on all nearby allied summons. Enraged summons are far less likely to flinch in battle and become much more ruthless at the cost of intelligence and rational thought. Enraged enemies are very easy to Kyte but nearly impossible to shake or discourage.

Ring of Recalling- A basic runic ring that allows the user to return to their Guildhall after a breif telepotation animation
Personality:
Despite her Race Reoite Is a free-spirited woman who enjoys nothing more than a good laugh. A trickster of sorts and perhaps a bit of a flirt Reoite is a passionate mage who shares a fond bond with her guildmates both IRL and in game. Not one too keen on causing distrust among guildmates Reoite typically holds her tongue during guild meetings but during any sort of battle (especially PVP), she really comes alive. Ruthless and borderline sadistic Reoite is a heathen on the battlefield taking extra steps just to cause extra humiliation to those who'd dare stand against her beloved guild. Perhaps a bit too energetic Reoite is often scolded by those around her for being a bit too handsy or likewise for being far too loud. But worry not for it takes quite a talking to for her to feel any bit down.

Unbeknownst to her guild, Reoite is a true maiden at heart wanting nothing more than a true romance to spark up her life. She's ashamed to say that at 27 years of age she hasn't once so much as gone on a date let alone gone any further. Heck, she's still waiting for her faithful first kiss. A sad reality in her own eyes and of course a secret she'll take with her until she dies. If anyone were to find out she'd die of humiliation. Which does beg the question- if she doesn't want anyone to find out then why does she keep a diary in Yggdrasil hidden int the very library her guild resides over.

Background:
Reoite doesn't have very much of an interesting background when it comes to her real life. She's 27, works a basic 9-5 job, lives in a flat, has a loving family, achieved average grades and well is ultimately happy or at least satisfied with every aspect of her life bar the romantic.

Her story in Igdrasil is somewhat interesting however as she more or less went from being a low levelled scrub to one of the strongest and most well-known summoners in the game. It took years and years of grinding and several microtransactions to do so but ultimately she achieved this through sheer willpower and skill alone. She, of course, joined the Guild Lake Coven at some stage or another and came to befriend each of the members quickly. She took to guild life very well and while she felt more excitement from PKing than from randomly adventuring she had to admit that without the guild by her side she'd likely have gotten tired of the game a lot sooner than she did.

Having given up on the game just a few months before the servers shut down she opted to log in one final time and well. We all know what happened from there on, don't we?

Guild: Lake Coven

Role In Guild: PvP deterrent and Queen of the guilds (her own) summoned army.
