Miura, Aki
APPEARANCE

Height: 5’6”

Weight: 112

Hair Colour: Short, silky black hair

Eye Colour: Greyish blue

Voice: Mellow and soft, the pitch more feminine than masculine. His manner of speaking has a euphonic yet condescending quality, drawing others in with its smooth flows as it trickles over fire starting commentary.
Voice sample-Scaramouche: x (press x to link to voice sample)

Notable Features: Aki’s frame is smaller than average for his age, making him appear much younger than he is. It causes others to view him as less capable of holding his own on the battlefield. He dislikes this about himself, but will never reveal this personal criticism to others.

RELIC

Kami no Sumi: Calligraphy sumi-e style brush. Aki uses this relic passed down through his family. The relic was unable to be wielded by members of his family for generations, leading them to believe their line had lost grace with the brush. Aki was the first one able to wield the relic since its original owner centuries ago. Using ink mixed with medicinal herbs, drawing characters on a person's body allows him to heal whatever injury the person received.

PERSONALITY

Aki portrays himself as soft spoken and innocent, but it's really just a farce he utilizes to allow his true troublemaking nature to operate. He’s curious about many things, mostly about how to push people's buttons in the right way to elicit a reaction or what to say to stir the pot and cause conflict. This trickster demeanor is an outlet for the childish immaturity he was forced to cast aside in order to fulfill the duty of his family name. Being the sole heir in generations to the relic wielded by his distant ancestor, a legendary healer minted in folklore, was a heavy cross to bear. Focused on his craft and never getting the chance to interact with many people in his childhood, Aki struggles with understanding the intentions and feelings of others. If he offends someone with a question or prank, he gets exasperated, unable to understand how it possibly could have crossed a boundary. He can be cruel, finding the misfortune of others amusing in certain circumstances.

Aki is very hard on himself. He constantly compares himself to other people, specifically in build and strength, but he masks this insecurity under layers of condescension and misdirection. He is unable to cope with mistakes made while practicing healing. One mistake will keep him up for hours, picking away at him. Even if the healing was successful, if it was not absolutely perfect, he would beat himself up for it. This reaction stems from fear and a past failure from his childhood.

Aki’s redeemable qualities come through in his dedication to saving the lives of others. He does not like to see people ill or in pain. He will stop at no lengths to ensure he does as much as possible to heal the person afflicted and will not stop trying until he is satisfied with the results. Any coy or facetious attitude melts from him completely during this time, making him seem almost unrecognizable in these moments. He is very self sacrificial when focused on his healing skills. He will practice until his joints ache from holding the brush, he will heal someone for hours without rest, food or water.

BACKGROUND

The Miura family is known for being the bearers of the Kami no Sumi relic, formerly wielded by Miura Heijiro, a powerful healer that had been minted in folktales for centuries due to the miracle healings he was able to perform. Some even whisper that he was able to resurrect from the dead, but the rumors have never been confirmed. When Heijiro was too old to practice healing rituals with the relic, he passed the brush and vast books of studies/knowledge on to his children in the hopes that they would continue his legacy. However, the brush did not respond to them. The characters they wrote remained mere inked characters on skin, no matter how many techniques they tried. Unwilling to let their father’s legacy die, they passed the brush on to their own children in the hopes that at least one of them would be able to wield the brush like their father. And so the tradition of the Miura family began, when a child was old enough to hold the brush in their hand, they were tested with the same task, to heal a small cut inflicted on their mother. None were successful. Generations ghosted by with unsuccessful attempts, instilling the fear that the relic had been tainted by negative energy in some way, a corruption of the family that was their curse to bear--that is until Aki was born.

Aki was four when he was able to hold the brush in his hand. By this point, it was standard practice, something the members of the family did with the weak hope that their child may turn around the fate of their name. The moment he held the brush in his hand was the moment Aki’s life changed forever. He successfully healed the small wound on his mother, the act catapulting him into years of disciplined practice. He was stripped of his childhood before he could even begin it, every day spent studying and diligently practicing character after character that was documented from Heijiro’s use. Overwhelmed and disinterested in the mounting pressure of the new role he found himself in, Aki’s effort in the skill he was forced to hone was lackluster. He barely paid attention to the lessons he was taught, skimming over readings with half attention. Any poor performance he played off as ineptitude.

When he was seven, now three years into his training, Aki’s father and older sister grew sick with a fever that was passing through the village they called home. It was the first real application of the skills he was meant to be studying in earnest. Aki was fearful of the sudden weight his responsibility as healer had taken on. The power of being able to save someone’s life now rested fully in his hands, as did their death if he failed. His lack of care and seriousness towards his craft was now coming back to affect him. No matter what he tried, his characters were much too sloppy and broken to heal his father and sister to the extent needed. The vast amounts of characters Heijiro documented slipped from his mind, and Aki was left staring helplessly as his father and sister’s conditions worsened to the point of fatality. This event was a turning point in Aki’s life. He regards their deaths as if he had killed them with his own hands, his lack of care for the role he had been tasked with haunting him and informing his current day to day decisions. Now, Aki treats the mastery of his relic with the utmost importance. He practices to the detriment of his health, never stopping until he is able to heal someone perfectly.

For the past several years, Aki has been stationed in Kyoto, where his services are most accessible. He runs a successful clinic for healing injured warriors, farmers and ill citizens. When not in his practice, Aki is known for getting into trouble, stirring up conflict at local bars with his condescending and deliberately cruel remarks to the local citizens. With his small frame and less than stellar combat skills, he’s been put into situations that others have had to save him from countless times.

Why do they want for the world to be at peace again?

Over the years, Aki has seen an increasing number of people affected by the darkness. He does what he can to heal the injuries and mental breaks that occur from the creeping shadows, but the sheer amount is becoming overwhelming. He is overworked and exhausted, but will not let himself rest knowing there are those out there suffering that he is capable of healing. Aki heard of the eternal clan and their mission in the hopes that with his help, they can cleanse the darkness and heal those that are suffering.

RELATIONSHIPS

Miura, Keiko: Aki’s older sister: deceased

Miura, Seikichi: Aki’s father: deceased

Miura, Ume: Aki’s Mother. Currently lives in Kyoto with Aki, running the business side of his practice.

Suzu: Aki's current body guard. The young woman was brought to his clinic, found beaten and in poor shape. Aki healed her physically but was unable to pinpoint the cause of her amnesia, which drove him mad. He has spent the last month obsessively searching through his documents for a cure, and will not let Suzu leave his side until he's convinced he's healed her perfectly. For now, she protects him from those he aggravates into conflict. Aki has made a habit out of finding ways to annoy new reactions out of her that vary from her usual cold exterior.

EXTRA

Aki is a heavy drinker. He can outdrink men twice his size, a factor that allows him to gain some piece of reputation among the local bar goers he fraternizes with.

Aki suffers from insomnia and night time anxiety. He rarely gets a fulfilling night of sleep, frequently overwhelmed with the amount of time spent wasted without any progress.

RELIC

Serpents Fang
This ornamented naginata is more than a beautiful weapon, but a powerful relic. Its magical power enhances the senses and reflexes of those that wield it. While it does not grant any agility, speed or strength, it not only strengthens the perception, but allows to react to stimuli way quicker and with more precision. The naginata is a versatile weapon that can be used in many ways offensively and defensively and Serpents Fang supports this versatile style by giving the wielder the chance to be on top of every situation.

PERSONALITY

Miyoshi is a goal oriented and dedicated woman. She has a sharp mind and is known as a frightening presence in her clan. As close advisor to the clans daimyo, she was often keeping the other henchmen in line, which has seen her develop an aura of authority. She is known not to tolerate weakness or failure.
Miyoshi is a very quiet person, preferring to stand back and watch many times. She only speaks up when she deems it necessary or is directlly asked to. However, she is always paying attention. Taking in her surroundings and making mental notes of everything that happens.
This reflects in her fighting as well. Miyoshi uses two strategies to ensure victory above all else. Utilizing a variety of defensive moves and feints, she learns about her opponent and lies in waiting, until they make a mistake. Then, she strikes with unparalleled ferocity at the weak points that have been exposed. In addition, Miyoshi is a master poisoner. In combat, her weapon is always coated in one of several strong toxins at her disposal. These strategies have earned her the nickname "Viper".

BACKGROUND

Miyoshi orignally comes from the Musashi Clan, which is lead by Ikato Musashi. The Daimyo and as consequence the warriors of the clan are known to be merciless warriors that will do what it takes to achieve victory. The samurai from this clan are not viewed as very honorable, as the tactics they employ are often chosen by a "The end justifies the means" kind of thinking. Miyoshi is no different. She grew up among these people, being confronted with violence and what comes along it from a young age. But as she grew older, she learned many things. She learned to fight, both in hand to hand combat and with various weapons. But more importantly, she learned that everybody had a weakness. She learned that no matter how strong your opponent, if you learned to see through them, to spot their weaknesses, your strength never had to compare.

This was a lesson that Miyoshi learned to live by. Even out of combat, she would watch everyone and anyone around her, soak up information and take mental notes about each and every person. That way, Miyoshi got very good in manipulation and intimidation. Miyoshi started to dabble in the crafting of toxins and poisons, believing them a great way to always be ahead of your opponent. Further, she showed great interest and talent in tactics. These facts eventually led to Miyoshi becoming feared even by the warriors of her own clan. Crossing her more often than not meant that things about you that you never wanted anybody to know would surface quickly and frequently.

Ikato Musashi took great interest in the woman for her skills. She was not only a great advisor in strategy, but had a unique kind of control over people, that he could put to use for his own benefit. Becoming known as "The Viper" for both, her habit of being calm and silent until viciously striking, as well as her frequent usage of poison, Miyoshi has accumulated some infamy even in other clans.

Sent by the daimyo of her clan to join the Eternal Clan, Miyoshi is dedicated to her task and ready to do whatever it takes to rid the world of the encroaching darkness.

RELATIONSHIPS

Ikato Musashi - Former Master, that she was a close advisor to. She pledged loyalty beyond death.

EXTRA

-While an expert fighter, Miyoshi is also a great interogator. Besides many toxins that can do things worse than death, she has good anatomical knowledge and knows exactly how much pain a human can take and how to inflict it. Though she is not as versed with creatures of the darkness, obviously.

Full Name: Oda Sugita
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Birthday: February 10, 1831
Role: Samurai

APPEARANCE

Height: 176cm
Weight: 170kg
Hair Colour: Platina blonde
Eye Colour: Golden
Voice: Rin Okumura – Blue Exorcist
Notable Features: Strong/sharp facial features

RELIC

His relic has the official name Ama-no-Habakiri, the Sword of the Shinto God. He calls it Kiri for short as it is easier said. This relic mainly focuses on the enhancement category, especially the speed factor, seeing as he’s one of the fastest swordsmen around while wielding Kiri. The sword has a rather simple appearance with black swirls for decoration on both ends and in the middle.

PERSONALITY

Oda has always been known as the town’s joker, always pulling pranks or doing things to bring people to laughter though mostly not the one on who the joke’s been played. He has a knack for socialization, easily mixing in with the crowd due to his easy-going nature. Despite his cheerful attitude, he’s quite the hot-head underneath who really doesn’t like to be mocked with the intention to hurt or when his master/family are ridiculed. Some would even say he undertakes action before thinking about it first which is all too true, he just doesn’t always realize it when he’s doing something stupid as honesty can be good and bad at the same time.

BACKGROUND

Oda worked under the Akio Clan from as far as he could remember. Being taken in as a child as his parents left him behind at their doorstep, he was taught the way of the group. At first, he was named a servant where all people would start and steadily climbed his way up the ladder with infinite determination to proof his parents wrong to have left him behind. He used to be filled up with anger constantly and a sense of sadness that didn’t seem to subside no matter how hard he tried to forget about it. Eventually, he met the daughter of the head of the Clan called Akio Nomi who was around his own age yet had never been able to get a close look at her until he became the age of sixteen. She was the one who started to pull him out of the darkness that had been surrounding him his entire childhood with just the faintest of gestures. Perhaps it was the way she communicated with him which wasn’t just master to servant, she was also the one who got him into practicing his swordsmanship more.

Two years later, when he was eighteen, he became a samurai who would be working for master Akio completely. Pledging his loyalty just like all the others did and went on several missions such as commanded. Gaining experience over the years, becoming a true force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, some said he was a monster others said he was a hero. It all depended on the individual, yet he never minded them spitting these words at him as they were… meaningless? He didn’t know them so how would they know who he really was, never taking it to heart. The people of his town however just saw him as the goofball he was, playing with children, playing tricks on grown-ups, even his higher-ups at the time. They just accepted the fact that he was going to be like this from now on.

At the age of twenty-six he became the head of the samurai, being directly under the Master of the clan. However, things started to shift after that as there were more and more meetings with Master Akio and his daughter about the situation of the upcoming darkness. Soulless creatures had started to invade the forests, some even preventing villages from going near their resources which caused for famine in return. Of course, samurai and guards were set into place but they were never enough to fully keep it protected so occasionally a casualty would fall.

In the beginning the darkness mainly became active during nightfall but now it even started to appear in daylight which was not a good sign. Oda had been sent to patrol the places where the darkness had been spotted and seen things that couldn’t be defeated with the average samurai. After relaying the information to Master Akio, he was given his relic which was going to be very helpful to defend against the evil that was coming eerily close.

The daughter of the head of the clan was send to start her own clan together with Oda soon after. Calling it the Eternal Clan. She send word to assemble anyone who dares to defy the darkness in their own free will, Oda just happened to be the messenger to spread the message which was one big hassle seeing the lengths he had to travel.

Why do they want for the world to be at peace again? He found the world to be beautiful and didn’t want for it to be destroyed without a trace.

Notable Features: Looks like a (lifeless sometimes) doll

RELIC

Mikazuki-munechika is Nomi’s first relic, and is a katana. It is one of the legendary swords of Japan and has been passed on in her family. It mainly focuses on the enhancement category, especially her focus and sword handling.

Carcano is Nomi’s second relic, and is just a needle at first sight. This relic however hold strong trapping inscriptions which can be easily carved into pretty much anything due to its sharpness.

PERSONALITY

Nomi is a rather calm individual, rarely stepping out of her boundaries and behaving like a head of a clan should. She doesn’t like talking about her past nor her family, keeping her history mainly hidden. Because of this a shroud of mystery hangs around her as no one truly knows her. Because of her nature, she doesn’t easily socialize nor does she really know how to build a friendship well, Oda is one of the very few friends she has. This does not mean she doesn’t know how to have a laugh or how to comfort someone (in her own awkward way).

BACKGROUND

Not much is known about her past due to her avoiding talking about it. She is however the ground setter for the Eternal Clan as she wants to uphold peace in this world. Nomi did say that she wanted to learn more about the world, and it was not yet the time for it to be engulfed by evil.

🏵️ RELIC

BRANCH OF THE IMMORTAL SAKURA
A branch of a mythical tree. It runs about a foot in length and is eternally in full bloom with white Sakura petals. Tsubasa encountered it during his formative years as a rōnin roaming the lands. It is durable enough to be wielded as a weapon and, if any twigs were to be broken off, they would swiftly reform. However, it's potential to inflict damage is the same as any ordinary tree branch. Regardless of this, Tsubasa prefers to use this relic as his primary weapon against anything other than the dark creatures that plague Japan. When wet with water and that water is flung onto a specific point on the ground, the first entity that steps on that spot will cause a patch of flowers to bloom and entangle the target for up to ten seconds.

HANASAKU HINATA
The sacred relic of the long-dead Hinata clan to which Tsubasa belonged to a branch family of. It is a katana whose blade is emblazoned with a floral pattern. When its blade is drawn, the perfumed smell of flowers fill the air. This relic focuses on enhancing the wielder's physical attributes but is dependent on the time of day. During the day hours and especially when there is a lot of sunlight is when Tsubasa benefits most from enhancements. The blade also gives off a faint glow as an indicator. During nighttime, it functions like any regular katana.

🏵️ PERSONALITY

Gentle, demure, and introspective, Tsubasa thinks first before acting or speaking. He is highly observant and prefers watching scenarios unfold from afar instead of intervening unnecessarily. He'd only step in once he believes that he has a sufficient understanding of the situation at hand. This careful approach to things has saved him a fair amount of times in the past; an especially appreciable trait to one who has been mostly alone in their travels. That is not to say that he is perfectly impartial in all cases. When it comes to saving innocents threatened with imminent danger, Tsubasa is quick to act even at his own expense. Human life is precious and there is no place for impassiveness in its calculus.

He is polite in his interactions with others—the presence of a pleasant smile is never far from his expression. He is courteous and shows the appropriate respect to his superiors as he was well-taught to do as a child growing up in a subservient clan. He is a bit of a pacifist, strangely enough, and tends toward non-fatal means of confrontation when dealing with villains. Hence why he chooses to utilize the Sakura branch over his actual katana. But this speaks to just how much he values a human life. When faced against the shadowy creatures that threaten the land however, Tsubasa has no qualms in unsheathing his blade.

Kind eyes hide a piercing edge of sorrow. He suffers from survivor's guilt due to being the last of his associated clans. Nightmares of blood and fire plague a fair few restless nights. He once chose the path of a coward and that cost him everything—secrets that he may never tell to anyone again. He is now committed to a cause that he believes is a righteous one, and he will do all he can to see it realized.

🏵️ BACKGROUND

Is it fair that the circumstances of one's birth determine their lot in life? A question best not pondered in the dynamic between the Hinata and Shimori clans. As the gods have willed, the Shimori clan exists simply as subservient vassals for the Hinata. Although they share a closeness in blood, the branch family of the Shimori might as well have been conquered slaves. The Hinata's treatment of the Shimori have always been with absolute disdain and apathy. They were seen as a blot on an otherwise illustrious bloodline; all because one potential Hinata heir decided to marry a woman below his station somewhere in the families' long, interwoven history.

So it was that children born to the inferior bloodline were destined to be pariahs. Tsubasa was no exception. As young as he was, he was already groomed to be a perfect servant for the Hinata; to follow their every whim and to never question his duties inherently owed to them by his ancestors. The realization of the harsh reality of his future made Tsubasa bitter. He won't ever be allowed to aspire to be the person he wants to be. His path was already chosen for him: he was to become a samurai. But a Shimori samurai might as well be a human shield. It was an empty title more than anything. All that he would accomplish as a samurai will be attributed to a Hinata. And his inevitable death will be in the service of a Hinata.

When the great darkness first encroached upon Japan, the Hinata and Shimori clans were some of the first to fall. On that December night so many years ago, a sudden ambush took place in the Hinata clan's stronghold, flooding the place with creatures born from shadows. It was a threat they've only heard tales of but never faced. Tsubasa, tasked with protecting a young Hinata samurai, ran and hid when faced with the possibility of death. He watched as the man he vowed to protect was brutally slaughtered before he fled the scene.

He could've warned his own clan of the approaching danger but, instead, he stole a horse and deserted the town; riding as fast and as far as the steed would take him. He'd only come to his senses two days later after running out of supplies. When he arrived back in town, he was greeted with a bleak sight. The town was partially destroyed and both the Hinata and Shimori clans' strongholds were utterly decimated. There were no survivors among the clans whom the townsfolk would later tell tales of how bravely they fought together to protect the town from the shadowy menace.

Tsubasa was now alone in the world—the one who ran. He would go on to lie about his whereabouts that night, stating that he was directed to run an errand in the next town over; a lie that continues to haunt him to this very day. Sifting through the wreckage of his former masters' home, he found the Hinata clan's sacred relic, the Hanasaku Hinata, gripped in the hand of a charred corpse burnt beyond all recognition. He thought to sell it for money so that he may live a simple life elsewhere, far from this nightmare. In the end, he never could brought himself to go through with his plans.

And so he wandered, now a rōnin abandoned of his masters and his lord and his former life. He took jobs where he could but was ultimately directionless. No one knew what spurred him forward. Perhaps it was cowardice. His dishonor very well earned him a blade to his gut. Perhaps it was guilt and the need to seek redemption in some way. Whatever it was, his travels took him far and wide across Japan where he learned and experienced many new things. In one chapter in the Tale of Tsubasa, the young rōnin stopped a roving band of thieves in the possession of a curious tree branch.

He would later come to hear about a clan in Kyoto whose goal is to defeat the eternal darkness. Tsubasa set out to Kyoto in hopes that this collective would accept him but feared that rejection would be just as likely. To his surprise, they did welcome him. A new path towards redemption has now opened up to him. The sins of the past can't be erased but he hopes that, at least, they may be put at ease. With his secret bound to his grave, Tsubasa looks toward the future.

Why do they want for the world to be at peace again?
Tsubasa finally understands the value of life. To protect that precious thing—maybe this is the highest honor he can aspire to. And, perhaps selfishly, he can find a way to forgive himself if he walks this road.

The Encyclopaedia Universalis is an immense and ancient looking tome bound in ornately decorated red leathers. The antideluvian parchment found within the binding is interspersed with newer sheafs of information and replacement pages. Written entirely in some indecipherable code many of the pages have beautifully painted images of various subjects. The subject matter of the book itself contains information on an innumerable number of subjects; so that one who knew the cypher and could utilize the Encyclopaedia would have their intelligence enhanced.

The Cloak of the Unremembered Guest is a plain and unremarkable hooded cloak made of some unidentifiable materials. Upon close inspection of the inside of the cloak one can find faint ingravings in an ancient dead language that seems to ring the entire length of the cloak. While unremarable the cloak seems to maintain a certain level of dust and dirt no matter attempts to clean it or the level of filth in the surrounding area. The strange ability of the cloak is only evident when worn. When one pulls the hood of the cloak up they become harder to remember and easier to ignore, even for those who are specifically looking for the wearer, making stealth significantly easier for the user.

PERSONALITY

Description:
Saga is both what one would expect and what one would not from his age and vocation. When met with a stranger he presents them a mixture of polite, pleasant introductions and subtle caution. This continues into any relationship Saga forms with an individual applying differing levels of warmth and caution being dependant on the warmth of the recipiant. Saga is an extremely analytical individual given his vocation as a sage and teacher, and has a wisdom belying his age.
Unlike a stereotypical elderly sage however Saga is quite personable; actively trying to converse with people even if they are more of the silent type. He has an uncommon practical optimism about him which he attempts to inject into conversation whenever he can to either cheer up those around him or point out a different course of action. Saga will try to keep those around him in good spirits as much as possible as he dislikes suffering.
Saga is a very well learned scholar, having avoided entering the military like many in his family or chasing coin like many of the remainder, having thrown himself into learning all he could from a very young age. As such he is quite disciplined, learns very quickly and is a capable teacher of others. His breadth of knowledge is vast as he has travelled far and wide since his youth.

BACKGROUND

Description:

A small but wealthy town in Europe is where Saga was born; or at least that's what his family told him as he never saw the location. Being born into a wealthy merchant family let Saga grow wanting little for material things. Nothing physical could grab his passion quite the way his studies did. He was considered a strange child by his peers, an obedient child by the adults around him and quite boring by his siblings. Never staying long in one place was bad for making friendships but Saga cared little as he still had his studies. Even given the chance Saga would have chosen to delve ever deeper into his studies; consuming knowledge with a speed and veracity akin to a starving animal.

By the time he was of age his family sent him to a seemingly endless string of Universities where he gained expertise in some fields and a general understanding of most remaining subjects. His eternal thirst for more knowledge led him to graduate at the top of his classes all throughout his time abroad studying. When he returned from his studies a whirlwind of a decade later he utilized his font of knowledge to earn his family incredible wealth. Cutting edge knowledge of technology, physiology, economic practices, behavioural theories and military tactics gave his family a hidden superiority over their rivals.

For most of his remaining youth Saga doggedly hunted knowledge of another sort. Learning the secrets of his family's rivals through any means necessary, leading mercenary bands to aid the multitude goals of his family, uncovering the unknowable from the beds of young Ladies and discovering ancient and forgotten treasures only one of his wits could decipher. On one such expedition he discovered the original edition of the Encyclopaedia Universalis; which drove him into a manic frenzy hunting across great expanses of the land looking for similar artifacts. He was able to find a few objects of similar historical significance and inhumane production quality but none could match the magnificence of the Encyclopaedia.

With the wild fire of his youth burning low Saga spent his middle life consolidating the gains he had made in his youth. He made frequent use of the Encyclopaedia and came upon the wonderous Cloak of the Unremembered Guest on yet another treasure hunt searching for artifacts. It was at this time that Saga took interest in the mysterious, strange and unknown East. Spending years in the area exploring China, Korea and the surrounding lands. While travelling he heard great tales of the culture, knowledge and splendour of the isolationist nation off the coast of China.

It took years, and destroying a pirate ship that had been harrasing the personal yacht of an influential Samurai, to be granted access to the realm. Ever the shrewd businessman Saga made the continued interaction of the Daiymo ruler of his new Samurai friend with his family extremely lucrative for both parties. The trading had been well established and Saga was beginning to explore the regions he as an outsider was allowed when the Treaty of Kanagawa debacle occurred. Little time passed from that culture shaking event before the Eternal Darkness appeared. It ravaged the land for what felt like ages unstoppable until Saga heard tell of a clan of locals who were banding together to stop the unending onslaught of the Darkness. As many of the barriers restricting movement had broken down in the face of multiple extreme disasters Saga travelled to the listed location of the Eternal Clan to pledge his help.

Why do they want for the world to be at peace again?
Having seen many of the beauties of the world and knowing that the good outweighs the bad overall the World must be saved. There are too many stories to be told, great mysteries to unlock, wonderous things to learn and loves to experience for the world to end quietly.
