  What I'm Looking For

  
  NO MINORS. NO EXCEPTIONS. Preferably 21+ but not a requirement.
  
  I don't have specific reply minimums. In some cases, a one-liner can propel the plot and five paragraphs can say nothing at all. Sometimes one person will have a specific direction they want to move in, so they'll take the lead a bit more and that's okay. Just give me something to work with that moves the story along. If my post wasn't satisfactory, feel free to ask for more.
  
  I do ask that characters have consistent personalities given what they've been established as. Of course, people are complex and the sum of their parts and experiences; however, there should be logic behind a character's actions based on their defined traits. I find it annoying when characters will do wildly out-of-character things just to make drama. While a bit of Deus ex Machina is required by design, being random is not cute and quirky when it derails the current train of thought. It just makes things difficult to get a firm grasp on.
  
  I prefer that you say if you don't want to continue rather than ghost me. I'll respect your decision and I will also tell you directly if I'm not interested in continuing.
  
  I'm OOC-friendly but it's fine if you also want to just keep things to the RP.

  I'm 21+ and have been writing for upwards of 10 years, RPing for over 7. Suffice to say, I would consider myself fairly literate. English is not my first language but I have a firm grasp of the language.
  
  I can reply a few times a week with three or more solid paragraphs per reply depending on how things are moving along and the pacing of the scene.
  
  My writing style centres around plot-driven replies or character development. Every reply has a purpose, be it to simply provide a human response to dialogue or an action, or to propel the story. Sometimes the creative juices flow better than others. At any time if you find a post to be lacking, feel free to drop a message and I'll amend or add more.
  
  While I wouldn't say that I'm looking for a slow-burn necessarily, it takes time for characters to familiarise themselves with one another and open up. Although circumstances will bring them together, their development of emotional connections doesn't happen overnight. There might be a little push and pull as characters get acquainted.

  The genres I would say I'm the most comfortable with are modern fantasy, sci-fi, and mystery/thriller. I have a preference for dark and gritty stories but I'm open to most things including slice-of-life. World building is a hobby of mine and I like to create rich lore. I don't do fandom but I do draw concepts from literature and media, so if there's something that you're interested in, we might be able to meet in the middle.
  
  More specific interests:
  
  Anything related to sirens, from the traditional Greek witches of the sea to the Norse creatures of yore and even to the modern amalgams of multiple mythologies
  
  Supernatural creatures/races living in disharmony with various groups pitted against each other due to power dynamics or preconceived notions rooted in ancient feuds.
  
  Slice of life turns into disaster as an apocalypse befalls the world
  
  I do have a trigger that I will let you know of so please respect that.
