  • 1. Be respectful to other RPers. Pretty self-explanatory, if I do say so myself.

    2. I'm expecting this RP ot be fairly detailed. Meaning that I would like posts to be a minimum of 2 paragraphs with 6+ lines (of course, you can go over this. exceptions can be made but please do not make it a regular occurence. i understand writers block and dull moments happen). Also, literacy is also to be expected, meaning little to no grammatical errors, etc.

    3. If you join, please try to be active. A post a day would be excellent but I know some people can't do that. All I'm asking for is at least a post a week. If you can't do that or you're going to be away for a while, let me know beforehand.

    4. Magic does exist in this world, but it is very rare and the abilities are somewhat limited. If your character does have magic, please explicitly explain their abilities in their CS. I will then let you know if you need to change/remove an ability of theirs if I deem it ''OP''. Though, I'm sure I will not have to do this. Hopefully.

    5. Magical creatures do exist but I would prefer your character to be a human. If you want an exception to be made, shoot me a PM and we can discuss it there.

    6. I like flawed characters, so try not to make yours a Mary-Sue or a Gary-Sue. Don't give them a ton of abilties/skills without and weaknesses either. That makes the RP boring if there are no challenges.

Along with it is a helmet with small, golden horn-like spires on the side.

    • Estella Rothstone (Daughter): Allaister's relationship with his daughter used to be good, great even. Early in her life, he would spend lots of time with her, reading her books from the great library in the royal palace or creating small pranks to annoy the palace servants. But that all changed after tensions in the kingdom began to rise. Nearby nations threatened to cease trade with Torinth, causing Allaister to leave his family for weeks on end to repair relationships with other leaders. This meant that he wasn't able to spend as much time with his children, forcing their mother and the maids to raise them. Allaister suspects this is why she has been growing distant from him.

    Personality: Allaister is a humble man, despite being born to one of the best kings Torinth has ever seen (King Acklund Rothstone) in the last couple of years. While he is humble, he does have a prideful aura that he keeps in check in order to appear relatable to the townspeople. He is highly intelligent, taught by the best professors in Torinth. He has a keen eye and is able to see people's true nature by just looking at them once. He's a man of few words, but when he does talk, people listen. He doesn't tolerate disrespect or defiance, as he quick to dish out any punishment to the offender as he deems fit.

    Backstory: At the age of 18, he was placed in charge of a squadron of soldiers during the Frostbane War. His men defeated a whole battalion of soldiers from a neighboring kingdom called Arigios in the middle of a snowstorm, with only two casualties. His battle prowess, tactical skills, and strategic mind helped him progress quickly through the military as his father worked to stop the war. Five years later, the war ended but left his father crippled. His father entrusted the power of king onto his son, as his own death was imminent. Allaister took up the throne and promised to make his father proud before he died.

    Another war, this one only lasting two years, occurred with a kingdom on the coastline called Marigor. Along with the help of the Kingdom of Grogthar, Allaister quickly put an end to the war, establishing Torinth's power in the world and bringing his own nation into an era of peace. The new king met his wife shortly after, quickly falling in love. She sired two children, Estella and TBD.

    With no wars going on, Allaister began trying to make his kingdom a better place. He funded trade with other villages and kingdom, boosting the wealth of Torinth. However, some of the townspeople still remained in poverty. While majority of the public regarded their king highly, there were still many who distrusted his methods and believed the allegations of his shady dealings.

    He is now trying to quell the talks of rebellion and find the leader of the Order of the Black Lotus. That is his main goal, as he believes it will end the rebellion and give the republic more power.

The only relationship worth noting, Mirrah is Markis' fifteen year old younger sister. With their parents deceased, Markis has found himself in more of a father figure type of role than a brother, but he and his sister trust each other immensely. Their bond is as solid as steel.

Personality:
A direct, serious man of few words, Markis is a man whose sight stays straight ahead and his feet march straight forward. Battle has forged him into a scarred warrior, and made his mind into a table of combat. He isn't good with words, emotions, numbers, or anything that doesn't involving swinging metal into the head of someone or something else. He is very intimidating by his size and stature, but he really doesn't mean harm to civilians and innocents. He wishes only for the realm to be at peace so that he can live in peace with his sister.

Backstory:
Markis was born to two farmers, his mother and father both warriors in their youth. Though the two wished for their son to have a peaceful life like them, their boy showed just too much interest in the art of war. He told them he always felt at one with himself with an axe in his hand, and he desired to see the world outside their fields of grain. So at sixteen, a year after the birth of his sister, he took the family axe, Greiskull, and left to join the military. His size was able to make him pass as an older man, and he was quickly sent into the ranks of footmen and infantry. Skirmish after skirmish, he proved himself as a fearsome warrior with a mind for combat. Eventually he was promoted to Officer at 20, Captain at 22, and Commander at 25, the youngest to have ever held the title. He enjoyed combat immensely, and he never saw himself leaving the military. Then he received a letter from home, written by Mabel, his old wetnurse and friend of the family. She told him that there had been a raid on the farm, and while the raiders had been chased off, his father and mother had been gravely wounded. Though his superiors forbid it, Markis deserted his post to return to his family, throwing behind a promising future at 29. He arrived at home with his parents barely holding on, and he could do nothing but sob and hold their hands tightly as they succumbed to their wounds and passed on. So much left unsaid for Markis, and he felt a hole in his heart appear at their deaths. He buried them himself the next day, and realized that he and his sister almost a young woman now, were all that were left. He pledged to her that day that he would no longer abandon his family for his selfish needs, and from that day onward, he took up the sickle and set down the sword. However, a month ago, his sister came down with a sudden and mysterious sickness; she seemed to be stuck in an endless sleep, turning and tossing as if having a nightmare. Luckily, an old Peacekeeper contact of Markis had seen this before, and told him he would be willing to make a potion to help her wake...but the price was steep. Markis would have to sell the farm just to meet half his asking price, and he couldn't do that, he couldn't throw away the last memento of his parents. So Markis did the one thing he knew could get money; he advertised his services as a sellsword. With the recent threat of the Black Lotus coming to large, Markis was offered a contract with a special group of the Republic. He accepted, and now he travels to meet them. For the sake of his sister, he must survive whatever job they have, so that he can one day live in peace with his family, just as his parents wished before him.​

  • Ser Kojo Aduku (Torinthised as Kojo Adson)

    Born just outside of the Republic's far northern territories in the Abakuan tribeland, the son of a warrior-huntsman and medicine woman in the Aduku tribe. Much of the man's early life was spent under the care of his entire village not unlike other young Abakuans, all playing a part in developing the young boy to instil a sense of unity, a sense of family from a young age. From learning how to traverse the lands with the utmost respect for nature in mind from hunters to learning which roots, leaves and even insects healing or disinfectant properties.

    With just how harsh and unforgiving the region could be it was no one that they trained the young men to fight. One of the first times he had ever engaged in armed combat with an adversary was during a rival tribes raid on his village, the young Kojo defended his family home against a rival tribesman who was just as young as himself, striking the other boy down before he would allow harm to come to himself or any of the younger kids. His act of bravery in the face of danger earned him the rite to become a man in Aduku society, he earned the scarification of a warrior alongside many others his age that had protected their village.

    It wasn't too long after becoming a warrior that his village was once again raided, this time however by southerm mercenaries. There was no fight, the invincible steel beasts on four legs came in the night, slaying many as if it were merely a sport. While they managed to bring down a few of these demons there resistance was pointless, by daylight most if not all the villagers were dead or prisoners ready to be taken away. Soon Kojo found that it wasn't only his tribe that it had occurred to, many young men bore marks of the Ashona, the Kiru and even the mighty Ubwei. (Dudes in armour on horses, not actual beasts)

    Kojo walked miles upon miles, through the hot and cold, many alongside him died in the journey, some survived. Their keepers seemed not to care. By the time they had reached their destination, the two hundred strong number had diminished to a resilient sixty.

    He found himself sold off, luckily for him though the person who purchased him had never intended to treat him ill. They gave him a home and in return he acted as a servant eventually even a squire. As years progressed so did he, earning the trust of the man who purchased him to the point when they considered him a son.

    Soon he was given his freedom and chose to show his gratitude through service, joining the ranks of the Republic. Fighting in foreign lands, sometimes even aboard naval vessels.

    Fighting hard and training harder was all Kojo lived for for a long time until he met a woman who was obviously of Shwatti origins. She caught his eye and captured his mind, the two courted for years on end due to his unwillingness to cross the hierarchal bounds, they would write to one another for what seemed like an eternity. There was only so long that the two could go on in such a way, eventually an unexpected tryst brought a child into the picture that raised a few eyebrows but they didn't around stick all too long as Kojo found himself elevated in status soon after.

    The time he got to spend as a father and a husband were some of his fondest memories, from the first day he saw his child to the first day he spent as a married man. The peace allowed for him to enjoy his life even if they were miles apart and for a long time, really did.
A man very clearly from the northern most reaches of the republic, stood at an impressive six foot one and weighing in at around one hundred and eighty-six pounds. Complimented by a set of light brown eyes and skin, very reminiscent to the richest of dark chocolate, covered in tribal scarification as well as healed wounds accumulated through conflict and the odd accident. The man's hair is a nice jet black at top of his head, shorn down to a rather modest few centimetres in length and a very subtly greying layer of stubble along his face.

Kojo is a man risen from the ranks, a chosen Torinthian bannerman, a knight selected to bear the Republic standard in battle, to protect it and inspire bravery in other men on the battlefield.

Swordsmanship - Much of Kojo's life has been spent training to fight, having been brought up in the far tribes lands, wrenched from his homelands and tossed against the Republic's enemies it's no wonder he has developed his skills well.
Bowmanship - Growing up Kojo learned much of the fundamentals of archery so much so that he was initially a ranger within the Republic's ranks though these days he's much more of a hobbyist than a true bowman and truth be told, he's not what he used to be.
Horsemanship - This is definitely not something that Kojo was born to do but he has steadily become proficient in the art over the years.
Outdoorsmanship: - Traversing the land, tracking and general survival, Kojo has done and struggled, only increasing his knowledge through time. This said, much of his understanding is of the mild to hot regions.

On the field of battle Aduku sports a bastard sword and an arming sword with both sheaths strapped to his left side, a dagger as well as a heater shield designed to allow for a lance to be rested comfortably. When mounted the man's weaponry has a modest change, simply adding a lance or a spear to his armament. On occasion the man can be found using a Longbow.

Garbed in layers of padding covered by rivetted steel chain-links that form his full length maille hauberk and topped by a high quality steel plate armour. His armour made distinguishable by the imperial colours that are adorned on it, spaulders painted in a dry white and the mismatched shoulder pauldrons as well as the cloth draped over it.

He will typically ignore his problems or make jokes about it so not to seem weak. If he thinks you look good enough he will hit on you and try to charm you. He has a sense of duty to the land of Torinth and the people who live in it and wants to make sure they are all safe. All around he is a happy man and doesn't plan to lose that part of him.

    Backstory: Doran was born to a wealthy noble family. His father is the Governor of the city of Corrindor, one of the wealthiest cities in the land. At a young age, he was destined to follow in his father's footsteps with controlling a village. Once he reached 13 he begged his father to become a squire and follow a knight. His father wouldn't hear a word of it. So once he turned 15 he ran away from home and followed a knight and with enough training became a well renowned Knight. While training to be a knight he learned he had a special ability and started to honed that power in secret. He now goes from land to land working as a diplomat, soldier, escort, and savior to the people of the land he loves. All of these jobs he feels is what a Knight is to do.

Armour:
Doesn’t wear a lot of armour as it will prevent her from moving more freely. Also, she’ll become less aware of her surroundings since clothes can be restricting for her. The only solid piece of armour she wears is a complete armoured arm on her left side.
> When in a more serious combat, she uses a more suitable armour.
> When she needs to attend a party (which rarely happens) she'll actually dress up for it (though the amount of skin she shows might not be in favour of everyone).

Relationships:
> Allaister Castor Hogarth Rothstone (Father): She doesn't know what to think about him anymore due to the secrets he keeps away from her. Due to this, she became cautious around him and keeps an eye on his actions whenever possible. Their relationship isn't as it used to be and it'll probably stay like that if nothing changes.
> Dhalia Estelle Rothstone (Mother): Despite loving her mother, she can't accept the fact that she doesn't help others out while she's the queen, only watching from afar. She doesn't talk to her much anymore, merely passing each other by in the corridors and only having some small talk when they have to be in each other's presence.
> Katobi Rothstone (Brother): She doesn't know him very well since she distanced herself from her family. She regretted her actions about not trying to get to know about him while she had the chance. Even if she got the chance now, she wouldn't know how to talk to him normally.
> Vincenzo Lucca Rothstone (Brother): She likes him the most in the family as she feels like she could be at ease around him, an escape from the bitter world. She would ask him about the scenery around them so she could picture it inside of her head.
> Townspeople: Good. She talks to them in a way that she almost feels like a commoner herself. She thinks of her people’s wellbeing more than anything and tries to protect them from her father’s harm.

Personality: Estella is a well-mannered human being. Her voice is gentle whenever she speaks to the people who live within the kingdom. They first were reluctant to talk to her but as they saw that she didn’t mean harm, they slowly accepted her in their circle. She is always the first present whenever a fight goes on in town whenever she hears about it, protecting those who she can protect even if it means getting beaten up herself. Earning the trust of those around her within a matter of time. However with her family she is cold and strict as well as to the rich people who don’t think much of the common people’s lives. She prefers to stay away from them but due to her being the princess she can’t avoid her duty.

Backstory: Estella had been born into the royal family, getting love from her parents as she was the only daughter. However her parents’ behaviour changed by time as they got more concerned by the kingdom instead of spending some quality time with her. One day she decided to take a peek in the conference room where her father was hosting a meeting with the most influential people around, hearing the dark secrets he was hiding from the people. Even for her. Due to utter shock, she distanced herself and tried to give him another chance to prove that he wasn’t as bad as she thought he was. But that was to no avail.

When she became the age of sixteen she started training against her mother’s will. Wanting to become stronger in order to protect her kingdom from evildoers, including her own father. She rebelled against him, not listening to a word he said. But the realization became clear as she had to be part of the royal family in order to stop the wrong actions that could be done. She didn’t have the power to protect the neighbouring kingdoms but she could protect hers at least. Intense training was done and became one of the strongest knights in the army. She even learned from a mercenary on how to kill as painless as possible and how to just knock them out with making as less sound as possible.

At the age of 20 she got injured after an attack in town, making her permanently blind from that day on. Therefore she visited a magician who helped her complete the bit of magic that resided inside of her. Earning enhanced awareness and hearing so she could still be useful in combat. Not knowing that it would make her a dangerous creature on the battlefield later on.

Now at the age of 26, she established a good bond with the common people, visiting whenever she could to see if they were doing fine. Helping those within her power, even if it meant taking the royal doctor with her to treat a sick child with the best medicines on the market. She’d kill those who threatened families, having no mercy to them as they would eventually do it again.

Personality: Jack is a simple man, so he likes simple things like a strong drink, good food, money, and a good fight. He is loyal to those he calls friends and those that pay him. He is usually a pretty nice guy until you piss him off, then he turns into a real monster. He likes to make puns and can be a smart ass sometimes but he takes his jobs serious. He has an unreasonable fear of pigeons and hates weak booze. He is extremely stubborn and also kinda lazy, if he can get something done the easy way or with brute force he'll go with it.
Backstory: Jack grew up on the streets, he doesn't remember his parents or where he came from. He grew up having to fight for everything from food and water to a place to sleep. He was 15 when he joined his first and last mercenary group, he was in an alley way fighting of three other guys when a man dressed in armor came up and scared the other boys off and then offered Jack a job. He worked for that group for years and had even made a few friends, he was happy, that all ended because of one job. It was a kill job, one person wanted some noble dead. So they found out he was leaving town so they set up an ambush and everything went well, until the guy in the red hood came out, that's where everything went to hell and how Jack got his face remodeled. He barely got out of there with his life and to this day he won't join a crew, he doesn't want to lose more friends.

Now his attitude towards people has made him a rather disliked man, seen as untrustworthy in the eyes of the people.

However, he isn't made of stone, he does tend to show a softer side to children or widows, probably because he feels a connection to them and because he knows that his son did not cope with the death of his mother very well, of course only a few people have ever seen this side of him. He is actually a very caring father and has a great disdain for those who mistreat their children, he's know to even raise taxes on people who do, so at least the abuse rates tend to be lower in his area, so that's one positive

He took part in sword training lessons when he became sixteen and has become rather apt at the art, his high intelligence and able swordsmanship lead to him believing he was better than other people his age, and older for that matter. Given that his father, William Dunstan, was already Governor that meant that Ebeneezer would inherit his title and eventually he did, at the age of 29 he was a fairly average Governor but he became a lot more friendly and relaxed when he got married to one Caroline Dunstan, she was a good influence on him and since her mother was a lower class woman it changed his opinion of the lower classes. They even had a child, a boy by the name of Francis Dunstan who was very attached to his parents.

Unfortunately however, all his joy came collapsing down in him when his wife was murdered in the streets by a group of low born thugs, they stole anything on value on her and fled into the night, this incident has lead him to despise the lower class even more, for the sadness those thugs brought to him and his son, the whole class must suffer.

Even for her. Due to utter shock, she distanced herself and tried to give him another chance to prove that he wasn’t as bad as she thought he was. But that was to no avail.

When she became the age of sixteen she started training against her mother’s will. Wanting to become stronger in order to protect her kingdom from evildoers, including her own father. She rebelled against him, not listening to a word he said. But the realization became clear as she had to be part of the royal family in order to stop the wrong actions that could be done. She didn’t have the power to protect the neighbouring kingdoms but she could protect hers at least. Intense training was done and became one of the strongest knights in the army. She even learned from a mercenary on how to kill as painless as possible and how to just knock them out with making as less sound as possible.

At the age of 20 she got injured after an attack in town, making her permanently blind from that day on. Therefore she visited a magician who helped her complete the bit of magic that resided inside of her. Earning enhanced awareness and hearing so she could still be useful in combat. Not knowing that it would make her a dangerous creature on the battlefield later on.

Now at the age of 26, she established a good bond with the common people, visiting whenever she could to see if they were doing fine. Helping those within her power, even if it meant taking the royal doctor with her to treat a sick child with the best medicines on the market. She’d kill those who threatened families, having no mercy to them as they would eventually do it again.

Thirty-Seven, Heterosexual, Abakuan Tribesman

A man very clearly from the northern most reaches of the republic, stood at an impressive six foot one and weighing in at around one hundred and eighty-six pounds. Complimented by a set of light brown eyes and skin, very reminiscent to the richest of dark chocolate, covered in tribal scarification as well as healed wounds accumulated through conflict and the odd accident. The man's hair is a nice jet black at top of his head, shorn down to a rather modest few centimetres in length and a very subtly greying layer of stubble along his face.

Backstory
Ser Kojo Aduku (Torinthised as Kojo Adson)

Born just outside of the Republic's far northern territories in the Abakuan tribeland, the son of a warrior-huntsman and medicine woman in the Aduku tribe. Much of the man's early life was spent under the care of his entire village not unlike other young Abakuans, all playing a part in developing the young boy to instil a sense of unity, a sense of family from a young age. From learning how to traverse the lands with the utmost respect for nature in mind from hunters to learning which roots, leaves and even insects healing or disinfectant properties.

With just how harsh and unforgiving the region could be it was no one that they trained the young men to fight. One of the first times he had ever engaged in armed combat with an adversary was during a rival tribes raid on his village, the young Kojo defended his family home against a rival tribesman who was just as young as himself, striking the other boy down before he would allow harm to come to himself or any of the younger kids. His act of bravery in the face of danger earned him the rite to become a man in Aduku society, he earned the scarification of a warrior alongside many others his age that had protected their village.

It wasn't too long after becoming a warrior that his village was once again raided, this time however by souther mercenaries, there was no fight, the invincible steel beasts on four legs came in the night, slaying many as if it were merely a sport. While they managed to bring down a few of these demons there resistance was pointless, by daylight most if not all the villagers were dead or prisoners ready to be taken away. Soon Kojo found that it wasn't only his tribe that it had occurred to, many young men bore marks of the Ashona, the Kiru and even the mighty Ubwei. (Dudes in armour on horses, not actual beasts)

Kojo walked miles upon miles, through the hot and cold, many alongside him died in the journey, many didn't. Their keepers seemed not to care. By the time they had reached their destination, the two hundred strong number had diminished to a resilient sixty.

He found himself sold off, luckily for him though the person who purchased him had never intended to treat him ill. They gave him a home and in return he acted as a servant eventually even squire. As years progressed so did he, earning the trust of the man who purchased him to the point when they considered him a son.

Soon he was given his freedom and chose to show his gratitude through service, joining the ranks of the Republic. Fighting in foreign lands, sometimes even aboard naval vessels.

Fighting hard and training harder was all Kojo lived for a long time until he met a woman who was obviously of Shwatti origins. She caught his eye and captured his mind, the two courted for years on end due to his unwillingness to cross the hierarchal bounds, they would write to one another for what seemed like an eternity. There was only song long that the two could go on in such a way, eventually an unexpected rendezvous brought a child into the picture that raised a few eyebrows but they didn't stay for all too long as Kojo found himself elevated in status soon after, becoming a nobleman with his own land.

The time he got to spend as a father and a husband were some of his fondest memories, from the first day he saw his child to the first day he spent as a married man. The peace allowed for him to enjoy his life even if they were miles apart and for a long time really did.

Farrah Kumal-Kojeana (Died 34) - A woman that Kojo once called his, she served as a Torinthian envoy. Their love was strong, strong enough that it managed to prevail over the miles of distance the two found themselves living between. Sadly struck down in the street by a drunken thief.
Taya Kojean (Died 8) - A young girl that the man once cherished. His love for his child was undying, the quiet allowed him to be present for much of her life but when he was away he would often send small sculptures or anything of interest he'd find, from a smooth rock to a bone coin of the first men. Slain in the street alongside her mother.

Kojo is a man risen from the ranks, a chosen Torinthian bannerman, a knight selected to bear the Republic standard in battle, to protect it and inspire bravery in other men on the battlefield.

Swordsmanship - Much of Kojo's life has been spent training to fight, having been brought up in the far tribes lands, wrenched from his homelands and tossed against the Republic's enemies it's no wonder he has developed his skills well.
Bowmanship - Growing up Kojo learned much of the fundamentals of archery so much so that he was initially a ranger within the Republic's ranks though these days he's much more of a hobbyist than a true bowman and truth be told, he's not what he used to be.
Horsemanship - This is definitely not something that Kojo was born to do but he has steadily become proficient in the art over the years.
Outdoorsmanship: - Traversing the land, tracking and general survival, Kojo has done and struggled, only increasing his knowledge through time. This said, much of his understanding is of the mild to hot regions.

On the field of battle Aduku sports a bastard sword and an arming sword with both sheaths strapped to his left side, a dagger as well as a heater shield designed to allow for a lance to be rested comfortably. When mounted the man's weaponry has a modest change, simply adding a lance or a spear to his armament. On occasion the man can be found using a Longbow.

Garbed in layers of padding covered by bronze coloured chain-links that form his full length hauberk that is topped by a high quality plate armour. His armour maid distinguishable by the banner-man colours that are adorned on it, spaulders painted in a dry white and the mismatched shoulder pauldrons.

Armor: Johnathan wears a simple hooded robe with a shoulder plate on his left arm (since that is his sword-weilding arm) along with bracers on his wrists to keep his hands protected, basic dark clothing, regular leather boots, a belt for his knives and needles, and a small medallion-shaped chest piece over his heart. The light and dark clothing allow him to remain unseen while moving quickly, while the armor pieces keep his vital areas safe since he can't fight with a pierced heart or slit wrists/shoulder. The medallion-shaped chest piece was given to him by his father, and was originally meant to be a symbol of prayer but Johnathan re-purposed it to make it into armor (it's basically the same symbol as his weapon, just larger and on a steel plate).

Relationships:
Katobi Rothstone (alive): While he was originally meant to kill a member of the royal family, Prince Katobi decided to hire him due to his skills and incorporate Max into his personal legion, the O'Kalali. He's also one of the few people who know Johnathan's real name.
Stephen Ohmar (deceased): Johnathan's father and priest of the town of Mythira, he was the main inspiration for many of Max's ideals, and, to this day, remains a source of strength for Johnathan.

Personality: Johnathan was once a very happy person, never outgoing or anything of the sort, but incredibly positive and idealistic about the world around him. After certain events changed him forever, Johnathan has become a very methodical and calculating person. Even though he doesn't like it, he has also grown more accustomed to speaking in order to get his targets where he needs them to be, depending on the job. One thing that hasn't changed, however, is his idealistic way of seeing the world. He strongly believes that there is imbalance everywhere, and whenever he kills someone, he believes he is playing his part in restoring balance by laying someone else's problems to rest. His outlook on life has become a lot more pessimistic, favoring violent methods to restore balance over peaceful ones. Around people, Johnathan only interacts with those he deems important, which can lead to some awkward situations whenever some passerby attempts to communicate with him. Finally, Johnathan is a firm believer in strong values, and respects anyone who is willing to fight for what they believe in, regardless of whether he agrees with them or not.

At the age of six, Johnathan learned that priests of the Drowned Pantheon were originally warriors trained to fight at the most elite levels, and that his father was one such warrior. Johnathan spent years training with his father to become one of these warriors, up until he turned about ten. Many of these warriors had enemies, and sadly for Johnathan, his father was no exception. One night a group of mercenaries raided the town church in search of Johnathan and his father. In a desperate attempt, Johnathan's father gave him a sword and a medallion and pushed him through a small trapdoor before facing his death.

Johnathan had to spend the next two years of his life walking through the streets, using stealth to stay hidden and violence to silence anyone who found out who he was. Since the mercenaries were still looking for him, Johnathan had to learn to kill animals with crudely made knives to survive alone. One day he caught the eye of an old man who spotted him practicing his sword fighting. The old man simply approached him and commented that he looked a lot like the man's son Max. Johnathan tried to kill the man, deciding that he'd attract attention to him, but the man easily beat him using only his walking stick. As it turned out, this old man was a former mercenary of a group called the Unseen, which was one of the strongest foreign mercenary companies. Armor: Johnathan wears a simple hooded robe with a shoulder plate on his left arm (since that is his sword-weilding arm) along with bracers on his wrists to keep his hands protected, basic dark clothing, regular leather boots, a belt for his knives and needles, and a small medallion-shaped chest piece over his heart. The light and dark clothing allow him to remain unseen while moving quickly, while the armor pieces keep his vital areas safe since he can't fight with a pierced heart or slit wrists/shoulder. The medallion-shaped chest piece was given to him by his father, and was originally meant to be a symbol of prayer but Johnathan re-purposed it to make it into armor (it's basically the same symbol as his weapon, just larger and on a steel plate).

Relationships:
Katobi Rothstone (alive): While he was originally meant to kill a member of the royal family, Prince Katobi decided to hire him due to his skills and incorporate Max into his personal legion, the O'Kalali. He's also one of the few people who know Johnathan's real name.
Stephen Ohmar (deceased): Johnathan's father and priest of the town of Mythira, he was the main inspiration for many of Max's ideals, and, to this day, remains a source of strength for Johnathan.

Personality: Johnathan was once a very happy person, never outgoing or anything of the sort, but incredibly positive and idealistic about the world around him. After certain events changed him forever, Johnathan has become a very methodical and calculating person. Even though he doesn't like it, he has also grown more accustomed to speaking in order to get his targets where he needs them to be, depending on the job. One thing that hasn't changed, however, is his idealistic way of seeing the world. He strongly believes that there is imbalance everywhere, and whenever he kills someone, he believes he is playing his part in restoring balance by laying someone else's problems to rest. His outlook on life has become a lot more pessimistic, favoring violent methods to restore balance over peaceful ones. Around people, Johnathan only interacts with those he deems important, which can lead to some awkward situations whenever some passerby attempts to communicate with him. Finally, Johnathan is a firm believer in strong values, and respects anyone who is willing to fight for what they believe in, regardless of whether he agrees with them or not.

Backstory: Johnathan grew up in a small fishing town called Mythira with his father, the town's priest of the Drowned Pantheon. At the age of six, Johnathan learned that priests of the Drowned Pantheon were originally warriors trained to fight at the most elite levels, and that his father was one such warrior. Johnathan spent years training with his father to become one of these warriors, up until he turned about ten. Many of these warriors had enemies, and sadly for Johnathan, his father was no exception. One night a group of mercenaries raided the town church in search of Johnathan and his father. In a desperate attempt, Johnathan's father gave him a sword and a medallion and pushed him through a small trapdoor before facing his death.

Johnathan had to spend the next two years of his life walking through the streets, using stealth to stay hidden and violence to silence anyone who found out who he was. Since the mercenaries were still looking for him, Johnathan had to learn to kill animals with crudely made knives to survive alone. One day he caught the eye of an old man who spotted him practicing his sword fighting. The old man simply approached him and commented that he looked a lot like the man's son Max. Johnathan tried to kill the man, deciding that he'd attract attention to him, but the man easily beat him using only his walking stick. As it turned out, this old man was a former mercenary of a group called the Unseen, which was one of the strongest foreign mercenary companies. Nerrezza didn't like to see her family starve and knew it was never enough money. She had been a curious child and often ran off, getting into trouble and mischief often. She hated farm work and soon tried to raise money for her family in other ways: conning, gambling, and even stealing. At first, she learned by watching others do so and some guy even taught her a few tricks. Eventually, she started to develop her own style since her family couldn't afford to bail her out. She became rather good at it and her family never questioned the pile of money she came back with. One day, Nerrezza went too far, and she had guards after her. She couldn't bring them back to her family, so she ran away, and lived by herself ever since. Around five years ago, she was desperate and hungry, and stole some eggs off the black market. But the man selling them was at a much higher price than chicken eggs, she didn't know any better until the egg hatched and that's how she found Erebus (pseudodragon). Wanting some justice in the world, she became an assassin, killing those that she felt deserved to be punished. She travels around a lot and though it took a lot of hard work, she had trained Erebus to be her familiar and they keep each other alive. (Erebus is the 4th picture, but all black with red eyes)

When the pair arrived at Siegmore, Karlos organised for Rose to lodge with his 'darling' Joan, in hopes that it would encourage her to build character and become street-wise. At the age of sixteen, Karlos brought Rose on board a merchant ship bound for the Republic of Torinth, it was all new sights and sounds for the youth but the fact that she was closer to her father provided comfort in the unknown.

She was introduced to the members of the Black Lotus. He introduced her as their new medic and officially announced his retirement from the post. The newly appointed medic was taken-aback and honoured by this title. She still requires Karlos' guidance from time to time and despite being a slow learner, refuses to back down from her role.

ain occasionally longs for Milltown's enchanting forests and it's towering windmills and is yet to become accustomed to the bustle of The Republic. She now resides in a tavern attic in Siegmore, owned by Joanette Hunt, a respectable criminal and a prostitute on the side; Rose does various chores for Joan to pay for her housing.

Takobi doesn't wear any armor because he doesn't find a need to due to his combat style. Instead he dresses leather and loose hanging clothing to allow better movement to re-position himself and enable him to draw back his arrows with ease.

Katobi's father doubles as the King of Torinth, when Tobi was an youth he never did spend much time around his father. But that was much expected so to cope with the lack of fatherly attention, the Queen advised Tobi to take up different hobbies such as archery, painting and sculpting, sewing and even cooking temporarily to engage himself in when his father, nor sister could be bothered with him.

Estella Rothstone (Sister)
Their bond isn't as strong as Katobi would probably hope for, seeing that Estella has come off as enigma to Tobi. All he is aware about her is that she was a bit of a rebel princess herself, but she had immense compassion, Tobi could tell. She would always distance herself from the family and he never caught a grasp of the truth until he was thirteen. He never spoke about it to his mother and father.

A most notorious killer that aimed to assassinate King Rothstone for an unknown proprietor. Katobi managed to impede his plans and came to a conclusion to spare his life and offer a chance of redemption. So he hired the assassin as a member within his rebel fighting group known as "O'Kalali".

Being born as a prince Katobi was taught to be well mannered and kind to all who interact with him. And as he grew up it became part of a strong moral code he lives by till this day. He believes in being compassionate and giving second chances to those who make mistakes as "Redemption is the path to a better life", he always say. Being thoughtful is prize to his overall demeanor as well as ambition and valor. As one needs bravery to not be afraid to take chances if it will lead to a benefit and aspiration to stay devoted to one's goal and reach success. He is a free spirit who enjoys physical activity and archery, but due to his upbringing he was bound to stay put and better himself to take the throne. With all of his bottled up childhood experiences Katobi secretly still wants to be an adolescent again to relive his childhood and not have to worry about the pressure of life.

As a youth Katobi would mind himself and wander the palace as a pastime. Apart from watching the palace chefs cook, however he wasn’t allowed into the kitchen at his age for safety reasons. On occasion, Tobi would search the palace for his mother who would be mining her business until her son surprises her from behind. Asking for a sweet treat or just to go anywhere with her, but that luxury didn’t last forever like his young mind hoped for. He never wanted much, just the occasional sweet or hug and every bit of attention a child needed to feel complete. He contemplated whether to go to his father to spend quality time together like years prior, but as times grew more apprehensive in the kingdom he realized that there was no point in going to his father.

Not with his sister Estella behaving oddly around the family and disappearing at random points during the day, she couldn’t play with him so much as acknowledge his presence. This made living in the walls of the palace a home where Tobi had to make his own home.

At the age of 13, after finishing his studies, Katobi would slip outside to ask one of the head knights if they could train him in weaponry. One of the knights named Lunaris Aphelion, saw that at his age it was a perfect time to mold him into a fearless warrior for good, so he took up the task in training Tobi first thing next morning. Much to Tobi’s surprise the training was intense and there was a test of proficiency daily. The consistent physical activity caused him to collapse out of exhaustion on numerous occasions with ended up in Lunaris carrying him to his room every night.

There were times when Tobi had even considered giving up, but was convinced by Lunaris every time that everything he does now will lead to good fortune later. Which kept him devoted to the training, despite it taking some time to get used to. Being a Knight clearly wasn’t the best option for him, but there was another alternative as an Archer and Lunaris planned on enabling Katobi to show full mastery in that field. Which in the end he did.

Four years pass since Katobi had been training with Lunaris and his skill had proved far superior to his trainer at the same age. He was so much stronger than his past self. So with the consent of the King and/or Queen Lunaris started to bring Katobi on trips for training or just for fun. While being around his trainer daily Katobi saw Lunaris as an ideal role model and even adapted a moral compass from him. Issues at home were just a thing of the past.
Katobi is now 22 and had worked to gather loyalist and mercenaries who would work as rebel fighters as a group known as O’Kalali for the Republic. He had taken the initiative to forge his own warriors to help end the rebellion alongside his father. With his final member being the infamous assassin Johnathan Ohmar, the O’Kalali aims only to watch over the nation and bring down the forces of the Black Lotus before anarchy and fear reaches every corner of Torinthia.

Personality:

Tas is an odd sort. With great power comes great insanity after all. She's not really attached to the physical, humanish world and can be rather detached and unresponsive to most people. It's accurate to say she gets along better with animals. And lay down with dogs... well wake up acting a little less human. Tas highly resembles the Jays in her title. She's distracted, a bit of a chatter box and likes things with a bit of chaos. Constantly moving, she says a lot more with body language then she does with words.She talks a lot but says little, and while her job may imply dishonesty, she doesn't lie, ever. She just obfuscates a lot. More intra-personally, Tas is a person of extremes. She keeps people at arms reach or too close, with very little space in between. She values honesty and communication, but above all, freedom. Above all else, Tas values being free to do as you will and values it above all else.
Backstory:
Torinth's endless wars have taken a toll on the nation, but none more so then Torinth's magic folk. During the wars mages who practiced the darker arts, or refused to serve the "republic". One of those mages was a young woman who loved nature and the woods and used her magic to connect with them, and she refused to give up that connection. So she was beaten to near death and left as an example. Phantasma awoke to a friendly face, a mage from a neighboring country, who introduced her to an ancient order, The witches of the air. Founded on the idea of the connective nature of all things. She studied and learned for years with them, until she was offered a place on their senior council, becoming the Blue-jay of Torinth, bound agelessly to the land as the steward of its wilds.Now with the rebellion, the bluejay has seen an opportunity to reclaim knowledge lost during the purge, and exact a little revenge on those who ordered it.

Allaister Rothstone - Her beloved husband and hard-working king, the bond between the two seems to grow stronger the longer they are separated...or so it seems to the public. Dhalia harbors no ill will towards her love, but that does not stop her from missing him and desiring his company.

Estelle Rothstone - The perfect mother-daughter relationship in the beginning, a happy child with a loving family...that all changed when she learned of the politics behind everything. After Estelle lost her sight, Dhalia attempted to control her daughter's actions - forbidding her from leaving the castle in fear of her daughter's life...but that only drove the little bird farther from the nest. Dhalia was once very protective of her little girl, but once it was obvious that Estelle was blooming into a bitter warrior and not a gentle princess Dhalia learned to let go - as hard as it was. Katobi Rothstone - He was a sweet boy but when his father left, he seemed to recede into a shell of loneliness. This of course, pained Dhalia to see and so she encouraged her son to seek out a hobby to stem the sadness of his father's absence. This unfortunately drove Katobi away from his father and towards the knight known as Lunaris. Though she was grateful that her son had a good role model that was present in his life, Dhalia was fearful when Katobi was being groomed into a worthy warrior. Now, with both her children dedicated to the ways of combat, Dhalia fears the worst may happen and leave her alone.

Vincenzo Rothstone - The baby of the royal family, Dhalia still has yet to let the young boy go. He seems to be the only child that hasn't completely abandoned their relationship with their parents. Dhalia cares deeply for Vincenzo and has been trying her best to keep their relationship alive and well, but politics and royal duties has interfered with it time and time again.

Personality: Kind and caring to everyone regardless of class, Dhalia sees the good in every person - nearly to a fault. She has never made the same mistake twice when it came to mistakes of character judgement, taking each failure as a way to grow as an effective ruler. Always willing to listen to all points of an argument before judging, the queen has been seen as an inspiration to the people. Unfortunately, where some see her as an inspiration others see her as a tool used against the people - a way that the king can pacify his subjects and delay the rebellion.

Backstory
As a young noblewoman in Torinthia, Dhalia was always expected to marry into a higher-standing noble family. She was taught at a young age how to entertain and converse with guests, all in an attempt to pair her off with a man in the future. Dhalia did not resent her family for this, it was her duty to ensure her family's status rose (or that's how she viewed it anyway). It wasn't until the age of 19 that the chance meeting with the future-king sparked, which would soon turn to romance and ensure her family attains the highest respect in the land. After a short courtship, the two were married; a year passing before their first child was born.

Though her husband's prowess with weaponry and tactics were sought by many, Dahlia's way with words made her the perfect candidate to oversee the throne during her husband's absence. Though his diplomatic visits strained their relationship many times, the two never seemed to bicker or fight about the issue in front of others not even their children. Though Torinth became wealthy due to Allaister's considerable efforts, many lower-class citizens voiced their opinions. The rumors that swirled about the king troubled the queen, but her faith never wavered. She did her best to quell the rising tide of doubt and anger in the kingdom - but there is only so much one woman can do.

While raising her children, Dhalia spent as much time as she could with them - knowing that the rising tension between classes would keep her and the royal advisors busy. Of course this was true, as the children got older they saw less of their beloved parents and more of the maids and tutors.

Heat Bubble(Passive): Around Ryuu is a bubble of heat a few degrees higher then the surrounding air. It helps his fire come more smoothly and warns his targets if he wants to warn them. This bubble can be expanded a few feet and retracted/dispersed.

Human Combustion: Ryuu snaps his fingers and blows someone up by lighting a fire right by them that's hot enough to cause an explosion as it immediately comes into existence.

Objectional Flames:Fire erupts on an object he is holding.


Shape Slash: Ryuu takes his weapon and will dash at high speeds in a given shape depending on his targets. Said targets must be on the outside or borders of the shape.

Personality
Ryuu takes orders when he wants on his time if he even cares. If you get in his way, you're gone. No second chances for anyone unless you're a crutch in a plan of his and he doesn't have a spare idea.

Backstory
Ryuu has been responsible for many deaths throughout the kingdom as well as many mind games on the citizens and rebels. Most people haven't to fear him but his presence most likely means trouble or on the rare occasion; help.
Growing up, he was around the king quite a lot. Watching the army train he watched and learned. He read books with words he didn't fully know yet he still read. He was ambitious and hid his curiosity unless he was by himself. Yet, in his early years of life, he vanished, causing a small hunt for him that ended quickly due to the fear of attracting too much attention or causing panic among citizens. Plus, his parents had called off the search earlier then most wanted too as he had been not a preasant's kid but a rich families only son and only child.

When he turned back up he had found himself reading a book in the King's chambers when he was caught. He licked his finger and saved his page before he and the king spoke breifly. Guards had been outside of the room and when the man had to leave he got attacked as he had been wandering the grounds alone. In the attack, the three patrolling guards were killed. The citizens had heard the king's palace was attacked by a sole man who vanished and when they heard this, a bounty was placed on him.
That had been when Ryuu was nigh on 20. Now at 21, his bounty has skyrocketed as has his name. Some call him The Dragon, Others Dragon Coin or variations. The few in his book that he's saved have secretly called him The Broken Savior. It doesn't matter to him what he's called as he does what he deems fit to do no matter how harsh.
Any rumor that goes around where he favors one side or another is dashed during the night or in plain daylight. It's why he gets called Coin. You flip it and it's a 50/50 chance on almost everything he does if you think simply on it. Two sides, Kill or save, Physical or mental.

Preferring to train his body or read, the man doesn't let himself rest. If it seems he is, he is most likely in thought; thinking about what consequences come from his next actions. He even studies people to size them up should he face them in the future.

Other
His skin is a bit harder then most but not hard enough to escape sharp blades. Paper-cuts, for the most part, or a cactus needle at times but no sharp knife or sword.
He trains constantly and reads whenever he has the chance to learn something new if he needs the information.
He has no love as of now. Maybe if he finds one he could become softer. *HINTY HINT? >.>*
