Realistic or Modern one x one - teen roleplay

(Hmm, i’m not sure really ): It could be something academic? Like competing against each other for better grades. But honestly i’m not sure)

( Maybe they are both running for the president of a club and now they have to run it together? Maybe my character is only given it because of his parents wealth or a cover up because he got in trouble with drinking (but no one knows that) and he doesn't really want it but your character worked hard all her life and she wanted it? )

(hey! so sorry for my absence, my life got so busy all of a sudden and I've had hardly any time to do anything. I am really sorry, I don't tend to make a habit out of neglecting rp/rp partners. If youre still interested I'd love to discuss another rp/ideas)

( Heeey! No worries at all, I understand. Yeah we can totally start back up. Did you have any interest in the plot I said in my last post? :3 )

(Yes! I'm quite interested in that! I think it gives them good opportunity to have to be around each other which is good)

( Okay cool ;3 Soo.. lets just say a college, and maybe a presidential or national honors club? Also I can probably make a starter post later. Are you still gonna use Skylar?)

(I think I will! I could change up her personality a little, maybe just depending on the setting, who your character is etc! And yeah, one of those clubs sounds great! It could even be like she finds out about why he gets it too, and even though they are 'enemies' he has to trust that she wont go and tell everyone why he won as well)

(Who are you thinking of using as your character? I'll adjust Skylar's personality around them a little, just so they contrast a bit. Her backstory etc will probably stay very similar though, which I think works with this setting!)

( I think i'll use my other character Cassius, or Cas.. I'll put his description and such C: So i'm thinking that he is the son of a wealthy chairman on the college board, forced into running for president even though he didn't want it, he probably knows nothing about the club actually. Then the election gets rigged? We can start a few days before the vote just for some build-up then go from there. Maybe Skylar finds out because she researches into his history? We could make it not obvious cause Cas and his father don't have the same last night or somethin' )

(Ooo yeah!! I love that idea. Sounds very good to me. I'd love to hear about your character!)

Cassius Carson 'Cas'

Personality: Cas is a mixture of personalities. On one hand he puts off this persona that he doesn't care, even though he's very bright. It's possible that he just hasn't found his niche or what he truly cares about. He can be cunning and sneaky, coming off as an asshole to those who first met him. He enjoys teasing and joking around with others, not trying to take life too seriously.
History: Since his mothers passing when he was 13, Cassius grew up rich, in a pompous household, with a serious father and bimbo step-mother. Though rather than enjoying the luxuries of yachts and country clubs he would rather do dumb shit with his friends. Smoke weed, get wasted, break shit, repeat. The only thing that got him into college was his entry essay, popular to contrary belief that his father bribed the admissions office because of his seat on the board, but this just wasn't true. One thing is for sure though, he despises his father. He quickly divorced his mother, she died, then he marries someone 20 years younger than him. How could one forgive that? Though Cassius had no choice but to live with him after, since he had no where to go.

(Aaaa I love him!!! Is there any particular way you’d like Sky to be? Any different from last time personality wise?)

(Yay okay! It’s 1am for me, so i’ll probably head to sleep but I should be pretty free to reply in the next couple weeks!)

-- The first few weeks of uni had been rough on the young undergrad. Not rough as in hard, but rough as in hungover most days. It was hard to want to stay in and study when your roommate knew about every part on campus. Life was strange, as the time for the transition from high schooler to college student was an unforgettable time. No more parents watchful eye, plenty of others in the same age group, little to no rules. What could go wrong?

It was a fateful Monday, Cas had Econ right at 9am. He rubbed his eyes, looking across the small room to his roommate who probably wouldn't awaken for a couple more hours. Typical.. He got put with one person on campus who cared less than he did. With resistance he got up to shower and grab some breakfast. Right after Econ he was supposed to meet his father at the alumni office on the other side of campus. He wasn't sure what he would want, but Cassius wasn't looking forward to the interaction. It was bad enough that he had to go to a school where his father was well known, but even worse when he saw him constantly. Usually people go to college to GET AWAY from their folks, but it seems Cas got the unlucky draw on that one. The boy dressed in joggers and a white-t-shirt, running a comb through his still wet hair before heading out the door. The night before had been a meeting for the presidential honors club, but Cassius had skipped it again. It was something stupid that his dad signed him up for and there was no way he was going to gather in a group on Sunday nights to discuss fundraisers and alumni scholarships.

The young brunette headed down the stairs and out into the foyer of the dorm. They usually had a breakfast spread in the morning; pastries, muffins, sandwiches. Just grab-and-go kind of things. While walking by, Cas picked up a muffin and started un-peeling the wrapper as he neared the door. He recognized a few faces and nodded a hello to them, no one wanting to have a full blown conversation this early in the morning.

The move to uni was huge for Sky, it’s not like she moved thousands of miles but the lifestyle difference was incredible. She could do…whatever she wanted! Within reason, of course. But she could drink, stay out late, eat whatever she wanted, go wherever she wanted. Though she chose not to. She’d only been there a few weeks now and it was difficult for her to be away from her parents and friends back home, so she found something to devote her time to. The presidential honours club! Not being part of it, being the president! She wasn’t really sure why it became such a passion for her but it did, and she was determined to become president. On top of her studies and socialising with new people all the time she was preparing a speech ready for the election. She thought she had some competition, but in particular there was a guy on the list of members who never seemed to show up. She didn’t know who he was, only his name.

She got up out of bed quite early, showered and washed her hair. It dried naturally whilst she did some reading, not wanting to disturb her roommate with a loud hair dryer. It was pretty much dry by the time she was ready to leave and go down for breakfast. She walked in and scanned the array of food, picking up a muffin as she saw an, admittedly handsome, casually dressed guy pick one up before her.

She hadn’t made too many solid friends, but she knew a few people and would shoot a friendly smile if she saw them around.

Cassius ran a hand through his still wet hair, he fumbled with his breakfast pastry and backpack juggling the two as he tried to pull the bag over one shoulder. In the midst he saw a girl, a very attractive girl at that, grabbing something from the buffet. Her hair was curly, softly framing her face. The boy would have stopped and lingered longer if he wasn't already late for class. Tearing his gaze away from her he stuffed the rest of the muffin in his mouth and pushed the door open to leave.

The undergrad made it to Econ with a few minutes to spare and found a seat in the middle, thoughts of his impending conversation with his dad and the girl from this morning on his mind. When it was dismissed, Cas begrudgingly gathered his things and started to head to where his dad asked to meet him. The campus was mid-sized, easy to walk everywhere but still enough students where you saw someone new everyday. It was also fall, the colors of the trees starting to change, bringing accents of yellows, oranges, and reds to the main quad area. He arrived at the alumni building, one of the nicest places on school grounds. Tons of conference rooms, coffee bar, free food, it would be a place that Cassius would usually like to spend studying if he father wasn't here all the time. He went for the elevator, remembering the office was on the 3rd floor. The conversation went a bit like this:

"There is an upcoming election for the presidential honors club I put you in."
"No son of mine is going to just be partying all over campus, I own this place."
"It's done, you will run for president, I already signed up for your name on the ballot and you're showing up tonight for the vote."
"Dress in a suit."

The conversation left Cas angry, resentful, and embarrassed. He tried to argue the point, but his father held more over his head than he realized. He was a man who knew a lot of powerful people, threatening Cas with military school more than once. It was like he could never escape him. The young boy knew one thing though, if he was going to possibly win this presidency, he would run the club into the *ground.* For the rest of the day until the meeting Cas tried to go about his normal day, trying to keep thoughts of the election at bay.

(( Sorry I didn't respond yesterday! Also I was thinking, maybe Skylar gets vice presidency? So then they have to spend time together hehe ))

((It's okay! Don't worry at all (: And yeah hehe that sounds good, also probably gives her more reason to be annoyed))

Sky's whole day was a mix of excitement and nervousness dancing through her body. She knew that winning this election would make her parents very proud, but also give her a sense of something that she hadn't felt since she finished high school. A sense of achievement, success, and although it might sound incredibly egotistic; better than other people. She just wanted to feel like she had done something good, even if it was just for the university. Everyone assured her that even getting into uni was a huge accomplishment but she felt as though it was necessary for her to succeed in life. It was a mindset she should probably figure a way out of but she couldn't help it.

Her mind was scattered that day, if she wasn't thinking about the way she would accept her presidency it was how she was going to deliver her speech to convince the club members to vote for her. Although it was unlike Sky to be in the dark, she didn't know who she would be up against. In all honesty it seemed as though no one else actually wanted to be president for the club, but she did. It was important to her.

At breakfast she ate her muffin and allowed her mind to settle on one thing, well, on one person. The boy she watched take the muffin. It was a good muffin, sure, but she must've looked rather strange whilst daydreaming about him as her eyes were glued to a random spot on the wall and her movement appeared mechanical. Not being present in that moment allowed her a good minute of peace, one she'd been craving since she arrived on campus. It was certain she would've been staring at that boy if he hadn't left so quickly. She may have even introduced herself...it was good to dream. But before long the evening came, and she went to her room to polish her look before heading to the club. She predictably turned up early, stood at the front of the room waiting for people to arrive.
