The was an enchanted forest filled with all the classic characters we know.

Or think we know.

One day they found themselves trapped in a place where all their happy endings were stolen.

Our World.

Aurelia Lockhart

Aurelia was getting ready for work at her mother's boutique. She was wearing a pale blue dress with pink flowers on it. She was also wearing her white cardigan and white tights. She was sitting at the vanity in her room, brushing her blonde hair. As she looked at her hair, she recalled a dream that she had the previous night. She didn't remember a lot of it, but she remembered seeing a tower, with hair that seemed to go on forever. It was draping the tower. It certainly looked a lot like Aurelia's own hair. The last thing that she remembered was turning to a window, and a woman coming through the window, a woman who looked very much like Aurelia's mother. And the then she had woken up. Of course, she had plenty of dreams before, but when she woke up from this dream, she had a strange feeling of uneasiness that she had felt before, one that seemed hard to shake.

To Aurelia, it almost seemed like the fairy tale, Rapunzel. Aurelia knew that Tale well enough. But it was nothing more than a fairy tale. And fairy tales always had happy ending. Aurelia was sure that she would be kept under her mother's control for as long as she could. Her mother so rarely let her do anything. She often felt trapped by the woman. Of course, she loved her mother. However, she often felt like the only reason that she loved her mother was out of obligation, because her mother was the only mother that she had ever know. Her mother hardly ever acted like she loved her, but Aurelia believed deep down that her mother did hold some love for her.

Aurelia shook the thoughts from her head. It was just a dream. A silly dream. But still, she could not take her mind off of that feeling of unease that she had when the dream ended. She definitely had dreams that left her with a similar sense, but those dreams were often frightening dreams. Dreams that many would find scary. But dreams that were so obviously dreams. This one seemed to have some sense of realism to it, one the Aurelia had never experienced in a dream before. There was just something that felt so off about that dream. But Aurelia reminded herself that it was just a dream, and there was nothing real about dreams.

Aurelia shook the thoughts from her head. They were unimportant thoughts. Dreams were not to be dwelled on. Or at least, that's what her mother had told her when she had a bad dream as a child. She couldn't worry about that now. It was a silly dream, nothing more, nothing less. She finished brushing out her hair, before pinning a pink flower clip in it. Once she was done, she slipped on her white ballet flats, before leaving her room and going downstairs. She grabbed her purse and her keys, along with a light jacket before she made her way out of the house. It was a bit chilly outside, as it almost often was in Storybrooke.

As Aurelia walked, she kept her head down. She was always a bit afraid of people. Even when she was in a small town like storybrooke, where everyone seemed to know each other. It was a quaint place, still Aurelia kept to herself. She was always afraid of people, just in general. She always seemed to be afraid of talking to them. It was silly. Aurelia knew it was silly. Still she could not help herself. She was terrified of talking to people. Perhaps it had something to do with her mother taking so much control of her life, that she seldom had anyone else to talk to, to interact with.

Nina Bram
Nina’s eyes shot open as she awoke from her slumber. She looked to her left and saw an unfamiliar clock that read 7:56 in the morning. She breathed in and slowly arose, taking in her surroundings. It was a small bedroom, minor mess across a few surfaces, nothing to bother. She saw the sun peeking through the blinds as she surveyed. Her eyes rested on the right side of the bed and gazed upon the sleeping form of Winston Freeman, the local gym teacher at Storybrooke Prep. A wave of familiarity hit Nina as she remembered the night before. A smoky room at the Rabbit Hole. An offer of drinks. Lots of tongue. Nina shuddered. Bad move on her part.

Nina quietly slipped out of the bed, taking care not to cause a noise as she gathered her jeans, socks, sneakers and top. She spied Winston stir slightly and froze, waiting for him to rise. Luck seemed to be on her side this morning as he simply grunted and stayed asleep. Nina breathed in relief and finished finding her clothes and started to walk out when she spotted Winston’s wallet on the dresser by the door. She bit her lip in anxiety as she thought for a moment before slowly taking the billfold. She opened it up and pulled out some cash. A few twenties and a five. She grabbed the larger bills and stuffed them in her bra, mouthing the words “I’m sorry” as she slipped out the room and silently closed the door.

She threw on her jeans as she strode towards the apartment door. The place was small, gym teacher’s salary hardly affording the rent, probably. Nina felt a twing of guilt for robbing the poor guy. She thought about just leaving the money on the counter, but another memory flashed into her mind of him fumbling with her chest in the dark. She retched and the guilt evaporated. Nina opened the door and closed it behind her, setting her shoes and jacket down as she put on her socks in the hallway. She bent over and began to slip on her shoes when the doorknob of the apartment across from her began to rattle and turn. Nina stood up in surprise, still in her bra as the occupant opened the door and spotted her. (Open to anyone)

Miles 'Jacob' Lindenwood

original.gif
Miles woke up from the most weridest dream of his life. A dream that was mostly confusing and also dark, he had many dreams before however, never like this one. This dream was dark and say unatural to him. The dream was about him holding a bottle the same bottle that is at his parents house. Once he was about to open the box he heard voices, voices that he couldn't understand really. Voices that were telling him to 'Open the box', 'Open it Jacob'

He was even more confused about the name Jacob than the box itself. Before he was about to open the box he woke up by his pager telling him to go to the hospital and that it could be an emergency. Miles quickly gets up from his bed after the wildest dream he had. He took his shower and got on his blue dress shirt and his black suit pants. He looked at himself in the mirror to fix his brown hair.

After leaving his home with his suitcase and jacket he started walking towards the dinner where he would always get his breakfast from. The fresh bagels from with his cream cheese and his black coffee with milk and sugar. However for him today he would mostly just want a muffin and black coffee after seeing that dream go on in his head.

Miles was saying his hello's to the people he was passing to on the block on the way to the dinner and once he got there his pager started to go off again and it was a very important emergency so, he skipped his normal breakfast and started walking back towards the hospital and see what the important thing he was called in for. Hopefully, this dream isn't going to mess up his work as a doctor. Even when he is more concerned about what he saw.

Melanie 'Kathernia' Winchester

tumblr_naduewdxUF1siq7iyo1_250.gif
"UGH!", Melanie groans as she started hearing noises downstairs of the house. She tired to block out the sound but it wasn't really working well for her with her just covering her head will only a pillow and closing it in her ears. She got up with her shorts and a tank top she had on and she marched downstairs just to go into the garadge and sees her father working on a car and making a whole bunch of noises.

"DAD! KEEP IT DOWN A NOTCH WILL YA?", she yelled and she shut the door behind him and wiped her eyes in the process just to wake up and get ready for the day. She walked her way to her bedroom and went to grab her things that she needs to go take a shower.

After her shower, she went over to her room and puts on her v-neck shirt and some blue jeans and her jean jacket and combat boots. "Melanie, I need you down here". She ran downstairs to go see her father and he says to her "Go get me something to eat from the bakery like some pastries and some other thing, OH and some coffee, thank you darling.".

She rolled her eyes and left the house going to the bakery to get what her father needed. Today looked like any normal day and one her way to her friend mother's bakery. She said her hello's to everyone and even some hugs here and there. While finally making it to the bakery she realized it wasn't open just yet because the lights were off when though it was a bit cold outside she didn't really care so, she didn't mind waiting for Avice to get what her dad wanted.

Scarlett Hollis

Scarlett had been awake since before the sun was up. Though her long shift hours made her body ache, she could never seem to quiet her active mind during the night. She stared out her living room window at the people walking through town. It was still early, she had time before she needed to leave so she stared down at the people milling about before they went to work. Living in a small town she could recognize more then half of the people she saw, waving at them if they happened to look up at her window.

After a few minutes she pushed herself from the ledge and walked into her kitchen to grab a quick cup of coffee. She groaned when she remembered that she was suppose to be watching 5th graders today, they always seemed to give her the most hell out of the other classes. It's not that she didn't enjoy her job, she felt like there was something else out there that she would be better at, though right now she didn't know what that was. She had always dreamed of moving out of this town though when it came time to do it she could never find the courage.

She dressed in a simple purple blouse and black pants, before packing a small bag with her uniform for her shift at the bar in town. It was the only job that guaranteed her night shifts after she got out of school around 4 pm, and if she ever wanted to save up money to get the hell out of this place she needed the extra shifts to cover it. She zipped up the small duffle bag before heading towards the kitchen to pour the coffee she had made into a to go cup. She checked her watch, sighing - realizing that she needed to leave now before she was late. She fumbled with her keys as her free hand reached out for the front door, pulling it open. She stepped out, looking down at her purse and after finding her keys she finally looked up spotting a girl half naked in her hallway. "Uh.." She stared back at the girl, she had never had this happen to her before and she wasn't really sure of the protocol here.

Maeve Westing
Why couldn't she have become a florist? Maeve wondered as she scrubbed her hands with the orange bar of soap. Florists had good lives, they got to take care of flowers all day. What was so great about being a surgeon? Certainly not the sleep schedule. Maeve had been awake for the past forty-two hours trying to save a kid's arm. It had been a grueling process of coming up with surgical plans and then realizing there was a small flaw in the plan that would botch the entire thing.

The boy's name was Xavier, Maeve had known him since... well, since forever. She had been the surgeon to remove both his tonsils and his appendix. So, Maeve felt that she knew the kid fairly well. He was an artist, he needed his arm. And, thankfully, after forty-two hours, it was regrafted and healing nicely.

Maeve moved to scrub under her fingernails. The feeling of the soap running under her nails reminded her of something but she couldn't remember what.

The caked blood and dirt wouldn't come out from underneath her nails. Scrubbing under the nails only drove the flake of earth deeper under.

It was official, Maeve needed the largest coffee available in Storybrooke. Pushing the strange thoughts out of her mind, Maeve dried her hands and walked out of the scrub room. Her shift was long over, now all she wanted was a large cup of coffee at Granny's. So, she made her way to her office and changed into a pair of jogging pants with an overlarge fleece and vest. Grabbing her car keys, Maeve made her way out into the day and towards the nearest source of caffeine.

Luca David
Luca threw a bouncy ball at the wall of his office. He had paused from his paperwork for a moment, but his mind had quickly gotten consumed by the mindless activity of throwing and catching the ball. Now, there was absolutely no hope that he would return to a productive work mode. Suddenly his phone rang, Luca jerked forward to reach for it but forgot that he had thrown the ball. Sure enough, the ball flew back at him and hit him squarely in the face.

"Don't be such a baby, Hansel," a woman's voice yelled. "If you don't go get more firewood, right now, it won't be a rock that I throw at you."

Luca rubbed his head, confused, where had that come from. Remembering the phone, he turned back to his desk only to realize that the phone has since stopped ringing. It had probably been just another wrong number. So far today, Luca had dealt with two wrong numbers and three prank calls from students. Granted, the prank calls had been hilarious and not entirely annoying, so he shouldn't complain.

Deciding that he had finished all the work he was going to get done, Luca rose from his swivel chair and began to make his way out of the school. Walking into the fresh air, Luca decided he should have worn a jacket. He would grab one when he went to his apartment to pick up TJ for a walk. That puppy needed more exercise than just one walk every day. Maybe there was a kid in the neighborhood that wanted a job. Either way, Luca was sure TJ was dying for a walk right about now.

Nina looked at the woman who had emerged from her apartment, awkward and unsure of what she was seeing. Nina smiled sheepishly. “Walk of shame, right?” She said, trying to lighten the mood. She grabbed her top, a white t-shirt with the words “See How Deep The Rabbit Hole Goes” graffitied on it, and covered herself. “Hey, you wouldn’t happen to have a car, would you? A really fast one that could get me as far from this door as possible?” She asked, throwing her black leather jacket over her shoulder and taking her shoes in her other hand. She gestured to the stairwell, motioning a desire to exit with her.

Avice Montgomery

Avice scolded herself for being lake. She had overslept. Such a thing was rare for her. She was having such a weird dream. It was her in a pretty gown, walking outside. But in her dream, she was excited about literally everything she saw and so. Walking outside. Flowers. Things that one typically wouldn't be excited about. She walked outside every day. She saw flowers everyday. The only thing that her dream self had not seen before, that Avice rarely, if ever, saw. A peacock. Avice didn't think she'd ever seen a peacock in real life. There were none in Storybrooke. It was such a small town, and nothing a peacock would ever find appealing.

It was silly for her to think so much on dream. She had more important things to do. She was already late for work. She was quickly getting ready. She was wearing a fun deep purple dress, with blue tights and silver flats. She was always known for wearing odd clothes, and dressing a little bit quirky. She put on a green jacket before leaving the house. Her hair was a bit of a mess. She had barely brushed it. She had to get to her store quickly. She hated being late. She made her way out of the house and began making her way to her bakery at a quick pace.

As Rosette neared the bakery, she could already could see her friend Melanie already standing outside the bakery, waiting for it to open. As she made it to the store, she smiled at Melanie.

"Sorry about that," Avice said as she unlocked the door. "I forgot to set my alarm and I overslept. Silly me."

She opened the doors and let Melanie in. She went behind the counter and turned on the lights. She looked at Melanie.

"What can I get you?"

Rosaline

Rosaline awoke in her own bed that was far too large for one person; something that bothered her about as much as being Mayor did. She enjoyed waking up alone, as she had yet to meet anyone who she viewed as worth her time. She enjoyed her solitarily social lifestyle and cared very little for the company of others. Of course, she couldn't be completely lonesome; she was the Mayor after all. After Rosaline got up out of her bed, she set about her daily routine, the end of which being her getting dressed and doing her hair.

Rosaline's outfit today consisted of an emerald green shirt with a black blazer covering it, although she did leave the blazer unbuttoned. It was, as per usual, a pantsuit, so her pants were of the same material and shade. Upon her neck she wore a golden necklace with rubies and emeralds embedded in it. It was fashioned in a triangular shape, tilted downwards. Had it been more sturdy, it could have been a crown. Rosaline had owned the necklace for...as long as she could remember. If she recalled correctly, it had once belonged to her mother. She also had several bracelets adorning her wrists: the most prominent being a band of platinum and gold intertwining with each other. Each strand was embedded with diamonds.

Rosaline took the braids out of her hair, as she had to every morning seeing as she kept her hair braided at night, and brushed her golden locks out in the mirror. As was her typical style, she left her elegantly curled hair down, choosing only to brush and perhaps part it. Having completed her daily routine, Rosaline selected a pair of black ankle boots and, upon putting them on her feet, walked down her spiral staircase to her front door. She exited her house and began to walk to town, hoping to find one of her favorite playthings.

Ashley A. Hawksworth
Outfit: Sleep Dress, Robe >>> Dress, Necklace, Shoes
In her lovely home, Ashley woke up from a vivid dream. All morning, she couldn't help but wonder about it. Oddly enough, this one had nothing to do with the unborn prince that rests within her. Instead, it seemed to be about her. She was wearing an elegant dress and she was arguing with a woman dressed in black. She remembered shouting, fighting and then...The last thing she saw was herself on an elegant bed. Was she dead? Sleeping? There was no real way for her to tell. But she remembered seeing a rose on her heart and the dark woman. Who was she? Why did she look so familiar? Looking down at her swollen belly, Ashley sighed before pulling the blankets off and swinging her feet off of her bed and slowly getting up as she held her back. If only there was someone around to give her a massage every now and then, maybe it'd hurt less. Staring at the clock, she saw that it wouldn't be long until her Doctor's Appointment, so she wasted no time in getting ready for the day, from brushing her teeth, to taking a shower and choosing a dress. She didn't even bother dealing with make-up, thinking that she was already radiant without them, not to mention that glowing effect that all pregnant women seem to have when they get far enough along. For Ashley, she was thirty-four weeks along in her pregnancy and it looked forward to the impending birth of her son, whom she has yet to find a name. Hopefully she would find one soon, as there was not very much time left. Waddling down the stairs, Ashley held onto the railing to keep her balance, as her belly had changed her center of gravity. Next, she waddled into the kitchen to fix up a fruit salad and pour herself a glass of milk and orange juice. Quietly, she ate her breakfast, but couldn't help but think about the dream she had the previous night, with it weighing heavily on her mind.

After breakfast was over, she cleaned the plate and cups, washing them before placing them on the dish rack to let them dry. Afterwards, she went to go use mouthwash to get rid of the post-breakfast smell in her breath. Smiling in the mirror while cradling her belly, Ashley was ready to start her day. But what to do after the Doctor's Appointment? She had the day off of work. Perhaps she could go visit her friend or something after the hospital visit? That seemed much better then being coped up at home. Grabbing her purse, she waddled out the front door and locked it. Since the Hospital was not far from home, she decided to go ahead and walk, since she was no longer really able to ride a bike and wasn't really comfortable with driving a car. Running her fingers down her hair, she cradled her belly, interlocking her hands to hold it and get some of the strain off of her lower back.

After about a couple of minutes of walking, the young expecting woman felt out of breath, but smiled when she saw the Hospital up ahead. She went ahead inside to check in. The Receptionist proceeded to tell her that there was going to be a bit of a delay. She nodded before going into the waiting room and sitting down on the couch, making herself comfortable and straightening out her dress.

Elliot Wesson
Sometimes Elliot really hated being Sheriff, he opened his eyes and attempted to ignore how exhausted he felt - which wasn't a new feeling and was something he had learned to live with after becoming Sheriff. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and headed over to his kitchen, his apartment wasn't much bigger than a room at the local Inn and so it barely took a minute to get from his bed to the Kitchen or any other part of the house. He made himself a cup of coffee, black with no sugar, and let the caffeine work it's magic.

He hadn't gotten much sleep last night, he kept waking up because of some weird dream, he could barely remember it now but he knew that it had terrified him last night. It had been strange; he was in some kind of woods (similar to the one surrounding Storybrooke) and then the next thing he remembered was being covered in blood. It was everywhere, in his hair, mouth, under his nails.

Clenching his fists he shook his head, as if to physically shake away the memories of the dream. Sighing he finished his coffee and headed towards the Bathroom, he needed a shower as he doubted the deputies would appreciate it if he showed up for work smelling like crap. It took him twenty minutes to get showered, which was a personal record for him. He shoved on a button-down plaid shit, his Sheriff's jacket and a smart pair of jeans, no one really expected him to dress up for the job especially when nothing ever really happened in the town apart from the minor robbery or occasional instance of vandalism from the towns youth.

Being the Sheriff of a small town was a lot more mundane than he would have liked.

He grabbed his keys and headed of out his apartment, making sure to lock it behind him, he hurried down the stairs and out onto the busy Storybrooke streets. Occasionally someone would yell out a greeting which he would quick return, the Sheriff's station wasn't that far from his house so he walked there every morning.

The sight of the Bakery caught his eye and he hurried towards it, Avice was just opening up and he silently thanked god for small mercies - if he had been forced to go to work on an empty stomach then nothing good would have come of it, the deputies always joked that he became some kind of monster when he was hungry.

"Morning Avice, Mel" He greeted as he walked into the bakery, scanning the shop for something to eat, he had been coming to the bakery every morning since he had joined the Sheriff's station as it was one of the few good places to eat in town. Sometimes he wished that he had become a baker, or a farmer or just anything other than the Sheriff. He sniffed in appreciation as the smell of baking flooded the store, "Food smells good today."

Scarlett laughed, glad to have moved on from the awkward encounter. While it definitely had been an interesting morning, she wasn't sure if she should be driving strange half dressed woman around in her car; but she figured what the hell, and gave the woman a shrug before jamming her keys into the lock and turning it over. She didn't really have anything else going on, and class didn't start for another forty five minutes. She followed in the direction the woman was motioning, "Bad date?" She joked, as she started down the stairwell of the apartment building. It wasn't the nicest place to live but it was the best she could do with her salary and she didn't have to live at home which was a plus.

Avice Montgomery
Avice had began preparing the store. She started some coffee and turned on plugged her phone into the speakers. She had a playlists loaded with a bunch of bubblegum pop songs. If Avice was being honest, she was not much of a fan of the type of music, but it fit the mood of the store. And if Avice had to work in silence, she would go crazy. Besides, if she was lucky, she would be busy, and people talking would drown out the music.

Avice smiled as Elliot entered. Service with a smile, that was her motto. She had always felt that if she was sweet to the customer, their food would be just a little bit sweeter. He was one of her regulars.

"Hello, Elliot," said Avice brightly. She was always pleasant with her customers, or at least she tried to be. "What can I get you? It might take a minute, though. Sorry, I got a late start."

Winston

When Win woke up, he found his mouth was parched and he definitely had not brushed his teeth the previous night. The taste in his mouth was terrible. He decided to brush his teeth before heading out for the day. Rolling over, Win saw the sheets beside him were rumpled it would seem that he'd had a guest the previous night. Win struggled to remember what had happened the previous night. All he could remember was heading out to get drinks, he had needed them after the school dodgeball tournament. But after that point he couldn't remember anything. Well, he had a strange dream about hunting a deer. But that was probably just the effects of the alcohol.
Win rolled out of the bed and went to the bathroom to brush his odorous teeth. As he purged his mouth of the terrible taste, Win walked through the apartment. He passed the door, hearing voices he decided to take a peek outside. Glancing through the peep hole he saw two women out there talking. One looked vaguely familiar and the other he knew worked a the school. It was probably better to not say hello. Win never liked to be outnumbered by women in any situation.
After he had thoroughly brushed his teeth, Win decided to head out. He left through the fire escape to avoid any kind of run-in with the two women. Checking his watch, Win decided to go to work a few minutes early. He started his walk to the diner. It was a refreshing walk in the fresh air. But it was a bit nippy. When he arrived at the diner he was more than relieved to be out of the cold air. He put on his apron and stepped behind the counter. Seeing a familiar blonde at the counter he walked over with a notepad.
"You here for the coffee? Or do you have something else in mind?"Win asked the woman. ( Royally Rose Royally Rose )

After finally making it to the hopsital he already saw how over pack it was today, and since it is that time of year it's kinda hard when your a small town and not alot of doctors are around but what can you really do about it right?. While walking threw the crowd he made his way to his office and he put all his things down and put on his white doctor coat on for people to notice that he is a doctor and some they don't get confused.

"Dr.Lindenwood, your needed", one of the nurses says to him. He nodded and closed his office door behind him and is given a file for women, a woman who is named Ashley. After reading that she is pregnant and she just came in for a normal checkup just to make sure everything is right and nothing is wrong with the baby. He started walking towards the lobby area and once he opens the door he says "Ashley Hawksworth". He took a pause seeing if the women would respond and just in case he repeated the name once more "Ashley?"

Once after waiting a few minutes not long she finally sees one of her friend and before Melanie could say a word Avice ran up to the shop and started to appolgize for the wait, she didn't mind it but she knew how Avice is when she runs late. "It's fine Avi, being late to something happens to everyone no need to rush, I'm your regular", Mel smiled at her as she helped hold the door for Avice as she walked inside.

As she got settled down and Avice asked her what she wanted, she heard the bell at the front door go off and she turns and sees Elliot there standing handsomely as always. "Hey Avice, Mel", he said as he walked into the shop. I gave him a small smile and says "Hey Elliot". Mel was leaning against the counter of what she wanted because she wanted something new, something with Apples?. That reminded her of the weirdest dream she had overnight.

It was an old woman giving her a nice clean red apple, and the lady was repeatedly telling her 'Eat my apple Katherina, it's good for you'. Before she could even respond that's when Mel heard her dad working on the cars in the back fixing them away at 7:00 in the morning.

Maeve Westing
As she sat at the counter, Maeve was thinking about the feeling that had overcome her at the hospital. It had seemed like it was more than just the lack of sleep catching up with her. It has seemed more like a memory, but it couldn't have been a memory. Maybe she should get tested for a concussion, she had walked into that doorframe the other day.

In the back of her consciousness, Maeve heard someone speaking. She glanced up to see a waiter from a napkin she had been toying with. Her mind had been elsewhere and his question had jarred her briefly, pulling her from thoughts of concussions. She realized that she had just paused for an awkward amount of time, what had he asked? Maeve looked at the waiter. Her mind was in a state of total disarray. Had he asked what she wanted to drink? Yes, that had to be it, what else would a waiter ask her?

"Oh! Yes, I'll take coffee," Maeve exclaimed, feeling mortified as she scrambled for composure. "Black coffee, no sugar, no cream. Also, can I get a muffin?"

Returning to the napkin, Maeve sighed. This day was only going to get worse. Special_Agent_Oso Special_Agent_Oso

The waiting room had several people besides her. Hopefully the appointment would not take too long. Ashley would feel really bad if she backed up the Appointments at all. Doctor Lindenwood was great so far. As much as she didn't really want to admit it, he actually was a little handsome. Sadly, Ashley was not interested in dating at the moment and it often takes a lot of patience and courage to date a woman who have children from previous relationships. If she was lucky, maybe her little prince's father will change his mind and actually want to be a part of his life. But only time will tell. While waiting, she just gave her belly a gentle massage. After a couple of minutes, her name was called. She perked up the first time before standing up when her name was called the second time. "Morning Doctor." She greeted him when she got close enough and when they made eye contact.

When she made it into the office, she set her purse on the counter and sat down on the operating table, ready for her check up. She then wondered what was in store for the check-up. If anything, she did expect an ultrasound to be included. After that, everything else should be smooth-sailing, whether it was blood tests or whatever. Of course, her primary worry was her baby. The pregnancy was going well so far, so Ashley didn't expect anything to go wrong.

Morning. Bright and annoying. The light streamed into the nearly white room and brightened every corner almost blindingly so. Clean. That was the best word to describe this particular room. Clean and pure but definitely not simple. There were accents of light baby blue here and there. The rim of the vanity mirror, the hem of the skirt of the soft and fluffy bed. The elegant bars that protruded from the four corners of the bed reached up and curved in and elegant vine-worked style to create the most beautiful canopy bed. The walls were pure white and slightly decorated with empty frames in the same shade of bright white. The dresser that stood proudly against the wall was white with crystal clear knobs to open the contents. On top of said dresser were her trophies. The ones she earned in competitions for competitive figure skating. The trophies she worked so hard to get. The little statuets of gold and plastic and stone that she nearly killed herself to get in order to please her impossible to impress family. There was a total of eleven trophies. All either first or second place. There was no room on that mantle for third or any other place. At least not in her family's eyes. It didn't matter to the one sleeping in the bed though. She could care less about those pointless tokens, but the feeling she got while on the ice....that was a whole different story.

Another night had passed. The sun had started to rise. But the one that should have been in that fluffy, soft and warm bed was long since gone. Hours before sunrise. It all started with a dream. The darkest dream a single little girl could have. She didn't remember the dream entirely when those blue and green eyes snapped open in fear, but it left her heart pounding so hard, fast and loud that it hurt. At four o'clock A.M. those eyes opened with a start, a gasp escaped those soft, parched lips and her entire slender and curved body shot straight up into a sitting position and a scream that could have woken the dead erupted from those lips. After but a moment the screaming stopped and she clutched her heart with her tiny, slender, boney hands to try and ease it into calmness so that it would not cause her pain. She may not remember the dream in its entirety but she did remember fear. Fear, snow, a friendly smile, scowling faces, blood stained ice, a scream so loud it could only have been amplified by architecture to bounce back at her. The last thing she remembered, was a boy's face. he couldn't make it out anymore but she knew it was contorted in fear and worry. His hand reaching out for her but it was frozen. Literally. To the point icicles were forming from him.

When she finally recovered from the trauma and completely forgot about the dream she looked at the clock and saw the time. Deciding that now would be the best time to get everything done and out of the way now rather than later. She got up, showered, brushed her glistening white teeth, tied back her long platinum blonde hair and started running outside. She did this every morning as she needed to get her cardio going first thing in the morning so she could go through her day without being tired. After an hour of running around the town while everyone else slept she returned home and grabbed some fruit and some vitamins and supplements to help keep her weight under control. For a figure skater your body meant everything to you. If you are too light you won't have the muscle strength to make the jumps, too heavy and you need more effort to push yourself higher to get that jump. Too much or too little was dangerous so she was constantly maintaining the perfect blend of meals and supplements. She had to.

After all that though, things were free for her for the day. She looked at her phone and looked at the time. She saw that she had kept a schedule of Ashley's doctor's appointment and she wanted to be there for moral support even though Serenity was only 18 and Ashley was 25. They had been friends for years and in all honesty, Ashley was the only friend Serenity had in the entire town, heck the entire world. She was not very outgoing or warm to people, but Ashley always seemed to understand and comfort her. She made her seem less cold and alone. So being the loyal friend she was, she took a second shower to was off the sweat and changed clothes and headed to the clinic where she knew Ashley would be and waited for her. She honestly hope everything would go Ashley's way and have a save pregnancy and an easy one.

Rosaline, having made it downtown, smiled as she spotted Aurelia. She had known the girl since she was a child, due to an
unusual relationship with her mother. Rosaline and her mother got along well enough, but the two were constantly scheming against each other. But that was to be expected. Once you're at the top, people will always try to take your place. She was actually fond of Aurelia in some strange way; but fondness wasn't really the best word to describe it.

"Hello, Aurelia dear." She greeted, coming up to walk beside the young girl. A smirk crossed her face as she matched Aurelia's pace. She didn't bother to look over at her. "Off to help your mother?" Rosaline wanted to help Aurelia break free from her mother's grip. Of course this was not due to any wish to see the girl flourishing; it was more so due to a wish to see her mother broken. The only problem with that wish is that Rosaline was uncertain as to whether Aurelia's mother cared enough about her child to be upset by the loss of her.

Aurelia Lockhart

"Hello, Madam Mayor," said Aurelia, her voice soft and timid, as it almost always was. She always had a hard time talking to people. She was also looking down, another habit she had when she was talking to people. For the most part people scared her. She was always worried that they were judging her. She had known Rosalind for years, but Aurelia was still intimidated by her. She was always intimidated by people who held a higher position of power than her. That must have been why she could fear her mother so much. "Yes, Mommy must be wondering where I am. I think I'm a little late today."

It was a little silly for Aurelia, a grown woman, to still call her mother 'Mommy' but that seemed to be how her mother liked it, Aurelia was always one to please her mother. She never wanted her mother to be angry or disappointed in her, she was always trying to please. She was always trying to be a good girl. She was always trying to be the perfect daughter. All she wanted was to make her mother proud.

Rosaline glanced over at Aurelia as she continued to hold her head down and speak in a quiet voice. It really was a pity the girl had so little confidence. She would be of no use to her if she didn't become stronger as a person. Rosaline listened to Aurelia talk before nodding her head with an amused expression. Aurelia was a fascinating girl with a lot of potential, but she allowed herself to be kept down by, what Rosaline assumed, was a feeling of obligation to her mother. It was a shame.

"Well, I'm sure your mommy won't hold it against you. You are with me, after all." She replied in an amused, if not slightly derogatory, tone. After pondering for a brief moment she started talking again. "You know, when I was younger I was always under a lot of pressure to do well; to excel in anything I ever did. And I almost always succeeded in everything my parents asked of me." She chuckled before continuing. "But it was never good enough for my mother. My father doted on me, always. My mother, however, wanted me to be perfect. And I never was. Fortunately, she died before I turned 15." This was all true, as she could remember it. It was pretty fuzzy, though, but she knew the basics.

She had never been fond of her mother, mainly because she had never been good enough for her. Everything she did well could have been done better, and everything she did that didn't align with her mother's views was absolutely terrible. When her mother died, she did cry. She had loved her mother; or at least she thought she did. She certainly remembered loving her, but she didn't feel her heart twist when thinking or talking about her.
"After she died, I was free to pursue my own interests, and free to grow on my own. And I did flourish. Without her breathing down my neck and trying to mold me, I could finally be my own woman. Now I'm the Mayor."

Rosaline seriously doubted that Aurelia would take any of her words to heart, but she had hope. Plus she had been slowing down slightly, which would hopefully cause Aurelia to slow down with her; being the polite girl that she was. Rosaline wanted Aurelia to be much later than she already was, simply because she wanted her mother to do something very cruel to her. She needed Aurelia to break. Her hope was that while Aurelia was at her lowest she would be willing to ask for her help. This was something she did to people fairly often.
"What I'm trying to say is that if you don't stop letting your mother rule your life you'll never amount to anything. And believe me, Aurelia. You can be something." Anyone who knew Rosaline would know that she had a habit of randomly sharing stories, and getting off the topic at hand. She would occasionally give people lectures or speeches for seemingly no reason.

Nina followed the woman to her car parked outside. “More like bad hook up. Never go home with the first guy to buy you a beer.” She mused, entering the passenger side. “Totally weird vibe. I felt like someone was watching us last night. And NOT in a good way.” She joked, “You wanna go to Montgomery's? I would kill for a breakfast muffin.” Nina fished out the cash in her brassiere and held it up for the redhead to see. “My treat for being my savior.”

Savior....Savior....Savior....

Nina felt a strange twinge of deja vu as the words echoed in her ears. She blinked the feeling away and settled in. She wasn’t sure, but she felt like she was still being watched....

Dracula
Vladimir gave Winston a glare as he watched the man sneak out the fire escape. If Winston had bothered to look up, he would have been a dead man. Vladimir stood on the faded red bricks of the wall at a 90 degree angle, watching the man flee before walking towards the street. He gazed at the pair of women talking and laughing as they entered a small car. He turned his head slightly, his ears picking up the conversation inside.

“Montgomery’s, eh? How quaint.” He mused to himself. He started walking towards the ground, his expensive leather shoes connecting with the ground without a single misstep as he righted himself. He stepped out onto the street as he watched the car pull away, eyes burning a hole in the raven hair that moved down the street. He smirked and began to stroll down the block, confidence in every step.

Some time ago...

Vladimir walked into the forest clearing, pale moonlight streaming between the gnarled trees. He spotted the cloaked form of the Evil Queen nervously wringing her hands by a makeshift fire. Her eyes were trained on a woman sitting on a tree stump, a dagger in her hand as she carved notches absently. The word “Adamari” was engraved on the blade, from what Vladimir could see. He approached the duo, his long cape flowing in stride.

“Vell, vell, vell. I did not think either of you vould show. And in such lovely attire!” Vladimir said smoothly, his first target being the Evil Queen, “The Queen of the realm. Your beauty truly unmatched. Skin as white as moonlight. Hair like golden silk. I am awashed in a sea of humility in your presence.” He kissed the Queen’s hand before rounding upon the other. “Adamari. Mephistopheles herself. I am blind. Blind by such power and grace! The tales of your deeds reach the farthest lands and quake the mightiest of Giants in their boots. No man can tame you, but I vould be remissed if I did not try.” He spin the small woman by the hand as he spoke, his white fangs flashing. He bowed deeply and presented each woman a small red rose. “Tokens of my gratitude for agreeing to meet with me. I am truly happy to meet you both.”

Aurelia Lockhart

Aurelia listened intently to Rosaline's words, her dark eyes glancing up every once in a while. A small, soft smile crossed her lips as Rosaline had finished her story and told Aurelia that she could be something. That was something that had never crossed her mind. It was something that her mother had never told her. She had always hoped she could be something, but she never thought that it was something that could actually happen. But she didn't know how to break free from her mother's grasp. She felt like she had been under her mother's grasp for her whole life. She had no idea how to live on her own. She was a grown woman who was under her mother's control.

Aurelia loved to draw and paint, and while her mother allowed her to have art supplies, she had never really allowed Aurelia to grow as an artist. It seemed like her mother was constantly trying to push her down, and hold her back creatively. Aurelia was always too afraid to fight back with her mother on such issues. She wanted to do so much with her life, yet her mother was holding her back.

"Maybe I can talk to Mommy," said Aurelia softly. That seemed to be the only thing she could do. She couldn't just run away from home. Even though she was an adult, she had no money and nowhere to go. "See if she might have a little bit more freedom. Do you think she would listen?"

Rosaline was pleasantly surprised at the fact that Aurelia had seemingly taken her words to heart. She really hadn't expected her to respond so well. Either way, the fact that she was going to ask her mother was an exciting premise. She knew Aurelia's mother well; and she knew the woman had a violent temperament. She didn't need the ability to see the future to know that the woman wouldn't be pleased. It seemed that her little plan was working even better than she had expected.

"I think it's a wonderful idea to at least ask. Your mother can be reasoned with, I'm sure." Rosaline encouraged. She was fully prepared to pick up the pieces that Aurelia's mother would, hopefully, create. "Just remember that if it doesn't go well, I'm in your corner. I'll help you." She stopped outside of Aurelia's mother's boutique, and turned to Aurelia with a smile. "This is your first step to happiness, Aurelia. You deserve it."

Some Time Prior

Adamari stopped carving into a some random branch as she heard the man that the Evil Queen and herself were waiting for. She smirked before tossing the branch into the woods. She stood up as Vladimir approached the two, placing her dagger into the sheath she kept at her side.
"Stand up, Little Queen, our guest is here." Being who she was, Adamari never paid Aria the respect that a queen deserved. Then again, nobody paid Aria the respect that she deserved. Despite the fact that Adamari never showed it, she did actually respect Aria. She had led a wretched life and she had used her own means to change it. Most people would have come to her.

Adamari raised an eyebrow at the blatant flattery that Vladimir was paying to Aria before he turned to her. She chuckled at the flattery, and allowed him to spin her around. After he had finished spinning her a bit, she stopped abruptly. He then offered the two of them a rose that was a brilliant shade of red. She stared at him for a brief moment before offering a deceivingly friendly smile. Adamari took the rose from him and held it up to her nose to smell it.

"Vladimir Tepes, as I live and breathe." She said, emphasizing the word breathe. "Thank you for the gift, although I don't find myself in the habit of gift giving." She was essentially telling him she had nothing for him for free. She smirked at him before speaking again. "Or being tamed." Adamari chuckled at him. "Now then. What was it you wanted?" She asked, getting right to the matter at hand. She was actually quite excited to be doing business with him. A being as powerful as Dracula was worth making a deal with. Although she considered herself to be superior to him, her being the Dark One and exceptionally powerful because of that, she recognized that he had his own power.

Scarlett Hollis

Scarlett made her way outside, leading the girl over to her car parked out front. "I'll be sure to remember that." She chuckled, though she had had a number of bad dates herself. The car wasn't anything special, but it was the only thing she could afford on her salary. It was a lot better than the bike she use to have before saving up enough for the car. "Well, you do owe me." She joked, though she really could go for something other than the coffee she had made. She unlocked the doors for them before pulling open the drivers side door and getting in. She threw her bag in the back seat before shutting the door behind her and turning the key over in the engine.

She could feel the girl's discomfort, in fact she herself felt a little on edge. She looked out the window, her eyes scanning the parking lot, though there was no one there. At least, none that she could see so she shrugged it off pulling the car out onto the main road and towards Montgomery's.
