Set in the 18th century our story here focuses on a pair of good friends who have landed themselves in a rather prickly predicament. With targets on their backs from a previous crew they had led into danger these boys have to prove everyone wrong. They were out to prove that the treasure they've dreamed of their whole life is indeed real, so our boys have hired the best of the best to hunt the treasure with them for fame, glory, riches. First thing's first though, they needed a better boat.

In the dead of night our crew hijacks a large military ship, one worth of becoming a pirate ship. Only, they failed to check below deck for the precious cargo that was fast asleep.

Declan Murphy

Everything last night had went well, truth be told it went WAY too well. If this was a sign of how well this hunt would turn out then they've basically won already! Fortune, fame, glory! They'd be able to pay their dear crew that believed in their dream! Well, the crew they guaranteed payment. Should they not find the treasure they'd most likely not get paid, but they didn't quite reveal that little detail. Why did it matter? The treasure was out there, they've been hunting this treasure since they were boys. It was more than a silly children's story. It... was unfortunate that people had to die in pursuit of this treasure, but he didn't want their death to be for naught.

"Avast ye crew! I am damn proud of each and every one of you! Silas my dear brother without your faithful guidance as our Captain our mission would have never went over so smoothly. Rolf my strong, scary, cuddly, magnificent giant I've never seen grown, armed men cower at the sight of someone before. Hana you are just as swift and agile as they say, you are worth every ounce of gold we pay you. Hattie, dearie, you make magic happen with ink on paper and you can decipher the bloody shapes people call words and are you indispensable. With everyone here we'll have the treasure in no time!" Was the Irishman already drinking? Yes. But, um, they just took over a FUCKING MILITARY VESSEL. Cannons, fully stocked on weapons, food, water. Their last ship (that they stole before hiring Hana) was small and fast, but nothing of this caliber.

"First thing's first of course I think we should assess each floor of the ship and take inventory, get acquainted with our new home. Rolf maybe you can assess any damage? We'll of course have to come up with a name for our beauty but we'll take votes later. This big of ship HAS to be stocked to the gills in supplies, this is seriously the motherload!" The 6'0" shaggy haired slim man was beaming with energy. This was something that Silas and him had dreamed of since they were little! Silas their captain, Declan as first mate. They had a pretty bad ass crew, too! They weren't fuck ups like everyone thought they were, they were going to prove everyone wrong.

They were on the top deck, the sun was finally peeking out and they were sailing north across the Norwegian Sea. It was a vast sea, but out there was a cave with a shipwreck that make all of them rich for the rest of their lives. This time he was sure they'd find it.

It had been two years since Rolf had left the crew he had dedicated his hammer to. He had left to follow Declan and Silas. Did Rolf blame his previous Captain for exiling the pair? No, not at all. They lost a good man, a good friend, it was an appropriate reaction. Naturally it would be silly to leave and follow these guys on a wild goose chase, but Declan was passionate and rather convincing. Plus... Declan, Silas, and Hattie were the only ones that didn't always poke fun at Rolf for his silence. He enjoyed them, they were good people, and it was clear that the boys were going to need a hand. So, here Rolf was.

Taking over a military ship should have been harder than what it was. The men though, they didn't seem like they wanted to fight Rolf. He was... rather tall and bulky. Standing at 6'6" and so muscular he could probably lift a barn he was quite a match on the battlefield. One hand had his trusty hammer that was used for knocking in screws and heads, the other holding an axe meant for chopping heads he was a force to be reckon with. Language was certainly a barrier, but seeing him didn't need any words. The men seemed quick to give in when he bashed in a couple men's knees. Rolf didn't want to kill them, but he also would make sure they got the boat.

Rolf was already on top of assessing damage. Thankfully there wasn't much, they had boarded the ship at guard change in the dead of night and took it relatively quickly. They hadn't swept completely the whole ship yet to his knowledge but they had got the barracks, there couldn't have been anyone left. When Declan started to make his announcements Rolf couldn't help but roll his eyes as he attempted to butter up the quiet giant. "Hmm." The deep voiced man gave a gruff grunt to acknowledge him speaking, but really he paid him no mind.

In fact he just glanced over to Hattie, gave a small playful eyeroll at one of another Declan's motivational speech, a quick smile and shake of his head. He understood the language now after all these years of exposure, but he had an accent that was heavy and most people had a hard time understanding, hence why he said few words. He wasn't much of a talker back in his home lands though, so he wasn't missing out on much. Thankfully it seemed Hattie was just as awkward in social situations as he was.

Hana Ito.

When the petite samurai style mercenary was approached by Declan and he started spouting off about some shipwreck she couldn't help but laugh. The man was obviously drunk, she thought he was just spouting a bunch of bullshit and she was about to show him the door. However, at the promise of riches to get her by for the rest of her life intrigued her. Silas, Hattie, Rolf, they all seemed to be putting their entire livelihoods on this treasure... it had to be real, right? Plus, Declan promised her payment treasure or no treasure. It was clear that this ragtag team needed a skilled sword, it was a win-win for the both of them.

"Declan I seriously don't think I get paid enough to deal with your drunken speeches." The small woman was on the floor of the deck cleaning her fathers blade. The naval forces did clash steel with her for a few moments before Rolf basically intimidated everyone off of the ship and she hated for the blade to be dirty. Her long black hair was tied into a tight ponytail, she was still in her armor from their escapades of seizing the ship a few hours ago, and there was plenty of work to be done before they could be an 'official' pirate ship. Hey, whatever she needed to do to get this shit done and over with. Maybe she'd buy herself a nice island so she could meditate on the beach every day after this.

"Besides, aren't you first mate? Don't pirates take orders from the Captain of the boat?" Her dark chocolate eyes glanced over at Declan as she sheathed her katana, hoping to get a rise out of the man. "I'll go take inventory." In attempts to escape another 'inspirational' speech from the drunken first mate Hana stood to her feet and headed to go below deck. However, as she opened the door to descend the stairs she was met with an unexpected and unwelcomed surprise. There was a woman there, a rather well dressed and put together woman that was most certainly not part of the navy. "Declan I believe it was your job to make sure everyone was off the ship, correct? Fine job you did there."

A heavy sigh passed her lips and she pulled the woman from the doorway, shoving her towards the others. "Guess I'll check for any other stowaways." Despite coming from a faraway land her English was damn near perfect and had zero problems communicating with people. Her etiquette, though, was something that was a bit lacking. With that said and done she made her way down the stairs below the barracks and found herself in some sort of living area. How the Hell did Declan miss this? "Any other stowaways aboard? Surrender quietly and maybe we'll go easy on you."

Astrid Davies

This week had been going horrible. It was bad enough her father announced her engagement to one of his officers but it had caused a rift between her and her sister. Adella seemed angry at Astrid for moving to Liverpool for someone she hadn't met before, but what option did she have? Disobey her father, royally piss him off? That wasn't her role, that was Adella's! Astrid's obedience was the only thing that seemed to pacify her father anymore and get him to ignore the rumors of the troubles her dear twin frequently caused. Gideon was the only one of their usual trio that seemed to be even talking to her! Astrid was doing everything in her power to get Adella to move with her, she didn't want to split up any more than she did.

To make matters worse, her morning tea was late. No fresh fruit, no earl grey. The 24 year old woman had a privileged life but she had the weight of the world on her shoulders right now. This was the straw that was breaking the camel's back, or however the saying went. The 24 year old barely 5'0" noblewoman was already dressed up in her lilac chiffon dress, her light brown hair falling into perfect waves, her bangs laced with jewels and pearls. They weren't royalty by any means, though they did socialize with the royal family, but they were also very well off and taken care of. She had a schedule and, even on the boat, she liked to maintain her schedule. God, when did Astrid become so uptight? She knew when, but... she never imagined this life for herself. She had been so adventurous when she was little, she wished to join her father on adventures. 'The sea is no place for a lady.' That was the end of that conversation.

In a huff Astrid found herself going to the kitchen herself to find out what was happening. To her surprise there was no staff, the ship was surprisingly quiet for early morning. The men were usually quite loud... something didn't sit right with her. The small woman moved up the stairs to the deck to find out what was going on, and yet again to her surprise she was met with an unfamiliar face. A woman? She certainly wasn't part of her father's crew! "H-Hold on, hands off of me! How dare you?" The woman was pulling and pushing Astrid out onto the deck so that she was facing all the other unfamiliar people. Oh, no.

"No, no, no. This was NOT the plan. We are supposed to be on our way to Liverpool, I--- Who ARE you guys? No, stupid questions reward stupid answers. Pirates, right? Awfully brave of you to steal my father's ship. He's already an ornery man, he will not react well when he realizes you've hijacked both his ship and daughters." Astrid's big, blue eyes darted from face to face to look at the new crew. Would they hold them hostage for ransom, make them walk the plank? Did this ship even have a plank to walk?!

Adella Davies

Adella had always slept terribly on a ship but last night was a special case of awful. The entire night she tossed and turned and at one point it even felt like the men upstairs were being particularly rowdy! It was probably near sunrise once Adella was finally able to fully fall asleep, which of course meant she was woken up within the hour by her sister starting her day. The two were currently not speaking, more that Adella was not speaking to Astrid. She was upset! How could she be okay with running off to Liverpool to marry some STRANGER? It was so frustrating.
The quarters the girls stayed in with Gideon were separate from the area for the staff and men. It had its own bedrooms, although small, kitchen and small living area. Outside her door Adella could hear her sister complaining and shortly after she heard the sound of her footsteps heading up to the deck. Good, coast was clear. Adella stood from her bed and headed over to her small vanity, fixing the loose braid her hair was in a bit and securing her bangs back with a pearl adorned headband. She was still wearing her light green silk sleeping gown but pulled a long lace robe over top and tied it at her waist, she could get ready after breakfast. After slipping into her clothing the small woman made her way from her bed chamber and out to where she expected to find food on the table, only she didn’t. It was barren. No food, no twin, no people? What was going on?
Just then Adella heard the shouting at the top of the stairs, she was frozen for a moment before attempting to run back to the room and find her dagger only to be stopped as a woman appeared. Surrender quietly? Were these … pirates? Adella slowly stepped out from where she was partially hidden behind a curtain, raising her hands to show she meant no harm before crossing them over her chest and making her way past the woman and up the stairs where she could hear her sister squawking. Maybe knowing who their father was gave them a false sense of security, or maybe it was that Gideon had told them what to do in this situation a million times over. Pirates wanted money, treasure, riches. They didn’t want death 9/10. It was best to just go with what they want and let Gideon handle anything else… though… where was he?
At the top of the stairs Adella winced at the bright sun, using a hand to shade her eyes as she looked around at the deck. Everyone was gone and replaced with… well what she could only assume was a pirate crew although they looked ridiculous. Speaking of ridiculous, Adella stood by her twins side, jabbing her in the ribs with an elbow as she caught the end of her rant. “Calm down.” She stood up a little straighter, eyes glancing over the interesting group once more. There was a rather large man that looked all brawn and no brain, a mousy woman with insane hair and then two men that she instantly recognized. “There is absolutely no reason to be scared, not of this crew.”
At first Adella was going to just keep everything calm and easy and safe. Until she realized this was the pirate crew of two idiots she managed to rob blind last week playing cards. How dangerous could they really be if they couldn’t even handle a noble woman in disguise playing poker? “Listen let’s just figure out how to get us back to London yeah? You surely don’t want us here as much as we don’t want to be here.”

Hattie O’Connor

It was still absolutely shocking to her that they were able to commandeer a ship. Let alone a ship that was part of the British Naval fleet. Rolf and Silas sure but Hattie was damn near sure that Declan would have messed up the whole operation somehow. However here they were, sitting on deck of the largest ship they could reasonably handle with their small crew. Hattie herself had done a lot of recon while still at port, trying to decide which ship they could reasonably take and handle, while it still being a good enough ship to handle the journey ahead. The Admirals own private ship was unfortunately the only answer.

“Right.” Hattie said simply, eyebrows raising as Declan went on about who knows what this morning. They had a victory sure but she wasn’t quite convinced it was worth celebrating yet, they were still in fairly close proximity to London and weren’t out of hot water yet. But sometimes it was better to simply let the man ramble. This morning Hattie had taken to first handling her duties as part of the deck crew, managing the sails and such. Then she found herself resting against a barrel, her journal in hand as she watched the sky and began taking notes and sketches of the patterns and suns location.

Hattie had been with these men about two years now, ever since they were removed from their last ship. She had been with them back then but it was different, back then Hattie was just a cook. The last captain wouldn’t listen to her about maps or otherwise… Silas and Declan treated her differently and had been willing to take a chance on her. So naturally she went with them.

Besides her she caught Rolfs face and gave him a smile in agreement. The two of them had an interesting relationship, often feeling like the supporting cast to this wild pair of best friends but honestly she wouldn’t want anything different. Well maybe she could handle it if Declan was a bit quieter on occasion but… still.

“Don’t forget we really need to put some distance between us and the officers. When they took to our ship last night I made sure to really tie them all up tight but who knows how long that will hold them.” Hattie chimed in, she wasn’t a fighter really so last night her job had been to wait on their ship and tie all the evacuated men and officers to one another and to the ships bow. It was quite a mess by the time she was done with it but who knows what could happen. Hana was next to chime in, rightfully reminding Declan of his place and earning a small chuckle from Hattie. Hana hadn’t been with them long but she fit right in.

For a moment it felt like they were able to avoid chaos. Only to be swiftly met with chaos as Hana went to head below deck and was suddenly face to face with a noble woman. “Oh bloody hell.” Hattie snapped her journal shut and shot up, quickly moving back and looking around the ship. If he missed that who knows what else he missed? The woman was throwing a full blown tantrum and was shortly joined by another girl, they looked awfully similar though the other one was much calmer and quieter. Already Hattie preferred her. Back to London? There was no way. They’d be arrested on sight, or shot. “Declan. Jesus suffering fuck you numpty!” When she got upset the Scott in her came out swinging. “Do ‘ya even got a brain ‘tween those big ears o yours or is it just sea foam!”

Silas “Dead-Eyes” Hawthorne

It was an unreal feeling; the sea air, the wind moving all around you, the smell of the wood and gunpowder. Of course he experienced those things on ever ship he had been on, but this was different. This was theirs, his. It wasn’t, they had stolen it, but wasn’t that the way of a pirate? Silas could barely believe it was real. If it wasn’t for Declan’s ramblings he would have possibly thought it was all a dream. As Declan listened he stood behind the helm, he barely had to do anything, they were just moving with the wind for now to gain distance. Then they would adjust course and go from there.

“I for one am impressed he is already drunk. Would think he would have a better tolerance to not be drunk already.” Silas half chuckled half grumbled in response to Hana. “And we pay you plenty, its half the reason we had to steal a boat and couldn’t buy the one we intended to.” The plan had been to buy a modest ship and pay a crew. But after the brothers lost over half that money in a gamble… they only had enough to pay Hana. He had to admit she was worth it but it still stung like a bitch. “Just- do whatever he said. I don’t want to just repeat it.” Silas was captain sure but he was more of a, I’m good at what I do just let me do it and shut up kind of guy. “I just want to get away from London and get to Faroe for supplies then go from there. As stocked as this ship is I doubt any ship in the naval fleet has enough booze to keep us fueled.” Silas laughed as he stepped back from the helm and leaned against the rail behind him. It was a beautiful day for sailing, clear skies, not too warm. Gorgeous.

Then noise interrupted his peace, leaving him to let out a long growl before standing up straight and moving to find the cause of the ruckus. Hana was down the stairs yelling for stowaways and at the top of the stairs stood some spoiled little princess who was yelling about her plan. “Yeah well your being here isn’t exactly part of my plan either.” He pulled his sword from its sheath, keeping it at his side as another woman joined. Twins? Oh for the love of god. Their father? This wasn’t good. They knew WHOS ship this was but apparently they should have checked on their reason for leaving port. Silas would have never imaged the daughters of the admiral would be aboard.

The second sister was suddenly cocky while the other was STILL whining. “Oi! Shut up.” Silas swiftly moved his blade from his side and pointed the tip at the girls necks. “I’m going to need a moment of silence to come up with a plan, yeah?” He rolled his eyes at them before turning to look at Declan. “Get some rope, Hattie where’s the nearest port that’s NOT London so we can drop these… lovely … ladies in town and be on our way?”

Gideon

A trip to Liverpool would have normally been something that Gideon and the girls could have traveled via carriage. However the timing was less than perfect as a new class of boat hands had just been fully trained in and were in need of a crash course on a ship before shipping out with his father on one of the larger ships later that week. So the girls got a long weekend on a ship and Gideon got dealt bullshit. Which was fairly normal, he was given a ship full of rookies and only three other fully trained officers to sail with. It shouldn’t have been too bad though, it was a short trip on one of the smaller ships in the fleet. Easy. So their first night out Gideon got everyone set and mostly understanding their jobs then left the crew in the hands of the other officers before heading down to the small living quarters with the twins.

Astrid was getting married, which meant Gideon was that much closer to retiring from this position and moving on. This assignment was even more proof of that. It was bittersweet of course, Gideon was excited to progress in his career but he worried about the girls. He wasn’t particularly fond of this new fiancé and god knew that Adella was a handful. Good luck to the next men that deal with these two ladies.

Gideon had slept in his small bunk, woke before the sun broke the sea and got ready for his day. His usual naval uniform and sword secured as well as a quick breakfast of grapefruit and tea before heading to find the girls. Only they were still asleep, but the staff were no were to be found. Instantly Gideon knew something was wrong. For a moment he thought to wake the sisters and tell them to be watchful but it was better that they stay calm, plus there was no better space in the ship to stay safe than down here.
So intead Gideon made his way out the secret hatch of their quarters, standing on the ladder and just barely peering out to see the situation. No one was in sight, not one single officer or deckhand. Not good. In the distance he could hear other voices… double not good.

Okay think Gideon. Life boats were at the front of the ship? They could probably get there unnoticed but if someone took control of this ship god knows where they were now, could Gideon really row to shore with those two in a small life boat? No. The answer was no. They would fight and dump them into the ocean within minutes. He had no clue how many people there were, the girls didn’t fight so he likely couldn’t take down more than a couple of people… shit. Behind him back in the quarters he heard Astrid rustling then heard footsteps on the stairs. This is when the girl decided to be self sufficient?!?

Gideon scrambled to get down the ladder and over to the twins in time but quickly realized they were already found when he heard the interaction in the other room. So for now he opted to stay hidden, even when the woman called for stowaways. This was good, he could easily take on one woman right? It sounded like she was alone and didn’t know he was there so he could have the upper hand here… Gideon kept one hand on the hilt of his sword before jumping out from his hiding spot and knocking the woman to the floor, quickly pulling his sword and pointing it down at her.

“Who are you? What is your intention on this ship and where are my men? Well? SPEAK?”

Astrid Davies

As much as Astrid didn't want to be in this situation she could at least agree with the captain, or whoever pointed the sword at her neck was. Astrid really didn't care if they took the boat, she just needed to get off and quick. The man who tied their hands together reeked of booze and it was still bright and early, everyone looked sketchy at best and the woman overpowered Gideon. Her sister knew something, she could just feel that Adella had something up her sleeve that she wasn't sharing. But, that didn't matter right now. So long as they made it to some port the trio would find safety there, they were well known at pretty much every port.

There was a quiet looking woman that escorted Adella to her room, the warrior woman seemed to task herself with watching the unconscious and restrained Gideon, and Astrid got stuck with the large, quiet man. She introduced herself as Astrid to try to be polite, he said Rolf. That was it. Honestly? She kind of preferred him over anyone else in their group. Especially that guy with the sword! Acting like SHE was inconveniencing him on HER ship? Puh, lease. The sooner she was out of here the better.

When the drunk came in she had expected him to retrieve only Rolf, she had no clue he'd summon her as well. LEAST of all a...a...fucking poker game! Why was there a game involved? Didn't the man say they'd go to the nearest port? That was fine with her! So why was her sister playing the drunk? What was she up to? Her twin instincts told her it was something devious. And why did Astrid still have her hands roped together! Better than all of the rope that was around Gideon, but still!

It was odd seeing her sister at work, Astrid didn't gamble and she was horrible at card games but she could tell that her sister had some trick up her sleeve. The game was long and Declan seemed so certain he was going to win. Just as he thought he had own the game Adella game out of left field and revealed her hand. "Okay, pirates lose. Now what? We're still getting dropped off... right?" Once upon a time ago Astrid would have killed for an adventure like this, but that part of her had been gone for forever. Now she didn't want to make waves, she just content playing her role in life.

Declan

"Oi, oi, oi lassie just calm down! I can't read my language and you expect me to understand yours? Y'know I can't do that! I'm no scallywag, it was dark and I just thought I got all of them!" With a heavy sigh Declan attempted to sooth over Hattie's little panic, though inside he felt himself panicking as well. The girls were important, and as much as he enjoyed plundering and looting treasure these two were far too important to even think of stealing. Stealing these girls, even on accident, was a crime worthy of getting hanged should they be caught.

Thankfully Declan and Silas were able to get a minute to breath and think things through as the stowaways were escorted to their rooms. It was clear they were in a jam, and that they had to find a remedy fast. Dropping the girls off at any port was risky. Surely they'd be on the lookout for their ship, or at least recognize it as it pulled into port. They couldn't just drop them off in the water and tell them to swim to shore, what if they couldn't swim? What if the sharks got them? They already had one death on their conscious, Declan couldn't have any more than that.

They were stumped, there was no good solution here. So when he went to check on everyone and the sassy twin proposed her poker game he was intrigued. Having hem stay on the ship would give them some sense of security if they were caught; they could surrender the girls, prove that no harm was done and that it was just as silly accident. they'd get arrested sure, but not hanged. Of course if Declan won they'd go ashore and claim they had no clue who did what, that they just woke up on shore and they'd go on and live their separate lives.

"Are you kidding me?" Declan sat there at the table stunned for a moment as she revealed her hand, completely obliterating Declan and earning herself the win. It was all very reminiscent to when he lost not too long ago. "I..." He was having troubles processing all of this, well, up until the other twin asked what happened next. "Well, lass." Declan let out a heavy sigh and stood to his feet, grabbing his dagger from his side and cutting through her restraints. "The lady wants you three to travel with us. So you guys are officially part of our crew. Just for this hunt of course, but it's the most important hunt."

As if his entire mood shifted he was rather cheery for just losing the wager. "Welcome to Pirate School, I'll be your teacher! I'm Declan, first mate. That there is Silas AKA Dead-Eye, AKA our badass Captain, AKA the most loving and FORGIVING brother I've ever done known." Maybe he was sucking up a little bit, but he knew Silas was NOT happy about their situation. "Hm, that's Hana. Lovely lady, kind of scary. Don't piss her off. Big boy is Rolf, I assure you he doesn't bite and he's a damn good Shipwrite. Lastly, but most certainly not least, this is Hattie. Our beautiful, forgiving, kind Cartographer who is essential to our crew and who hopefully won't curse me out in her native tongue for my embarrassing loss?"

With a nervous chuckle Declan knew that no one would be happy about this situation. Time to do what he did best and smooth over the mess he created. "I know this isn't the ideal situation, but dropping the girls off at a port increases our chances to be arrested ten fold. If we keep them on the ship though we can use them as bargaining chips should things go to shit! Which they won't, of course, but just in case! Plus, more hands on deck are necessary and we are working with a skeleton crew right now. So let's just give them a chance, yeah?"

Hana.

It had been so long since someone took Hana by surprise. She didn't bother pulling out her katana as she did her sweep of the area, she knew she was capable of doing a takedown on anyone without hurting them. Adella came out with her hands up and she seemed to know exactly what to do in the situation. Smart girl. What she didn't expect was some...some... fucking pretty boy jumping out and knocking her down! Sword drawn, pointed at her, making demands. Hana felt anger bubble inside of her. How dare he talk to her in such a fashion?

In one quick sweep she swept his legs out from underneath him and knocked him into the ground face first. She moved to sit on top of his back, kicked the sword across the floor, and pulled some rope from her waist in order to roughly tie his arms together. "It'll do you well to not point your sword at a woman, pretty boy." Hana may have let her anger get the best of her with her next move. With the hilt of her katana she smacked it upside his head, not wanting to hear another word this boy had to say. She wasn't in the mood.

When it came to guarding the stowaways she of course tasked herself with the boy. He was some overpaid body guard and clearly thought he was the best warrior out there, she knew he'd try to pull something if Hattie or Rolf guarded him. With Hana? She wouldn't allow him to get the jump on her again. She tied his arms together, his ankles together, she may have went a bit overboard.

Once they were summoned to watch the poker game (a stupid fucking idea if you asked her) she smacked the boy's cheek a few times to wake him up. "Up." No explanation, nothing as she yanked his ropes to make him stand. She walked behind him and made him walk to the barracks where the game had been set up. Hana didn't gamble, it was a silly game but she knew that Declan was a skilled professional. At least, that's what he boasted. He said he had only lost once in the past few years and he seemed still bitter about it, so it must have been sometime recently. Hana didn't know what was at stake if he lost, all she could do is hope he won.

And he lost. That was the last time she put her faith in a drunk idiot. His words however took her surprise and made her face boiling red with anger. "Are you serious?" Hana shot a sharp glare over at Silas. Declan was an idiot, they all knew that, but Silas was supposed to be the smart one. "Have you lost your mind? The only use these ladies," Gideon included, "have for us is human shields. what are they going to do on the ship? They can't fire a cannon, I bet they're shit in a fight. I--" Hana was a mercenary, a sell sword. Her place wasn't to dictate the happenings of the ship. "Whatever. Don't expect me to protect them. What are we supposed to do with this one, anyways?" Hana glanced back at Gideon with a small glare, still angry about him pointing his sword at her.

Gideon

Gideon knew better than to underestimate anyone, truly he did. But.. she was a woman! With no weapon drawn! Of course he thought he could handle it, however that cocky mistake ended up getting him quite the bump on his head and an unwanted nap. When he did finally awaken it was to a sharp pain on his cheek that was quickly followed up by the pain in his head, his wrists, his ankles. What in lords name did this woman do to him? “What the hell?” Gideon was yanked to his feet, standing face to face with the woman who he had tackled downstairs. She was a fair bit shorter than him but despite him literally looking down on her she still had a look that could cut steel. “If you want me to walk you need to loosen the fucking vice around my ankles.” She paused for a moment before scoffing at him, unhappily obliging before pushing him off in some direction and telling him to walk.

At this point it was all Gideon could do, listen. He was worried about the girls. Wherever he was they were not and if this is the treatment he received… well let’s just say he was worried. Had they been tied up as well? Hurt in anyway? Hell were they even still on the ship? It was all going through his brain at light speed as they walked. When they reached their destination Gideon nearly popped a fucking blood vessel at the sight.

“Poker?!” Gideon yelled, his voice instantly hoarse as he looked at Adella like she was insane. Rightfully so too! Because clearly she was! The man was thrilled the girls looked okay but what in the hell was going on here? The looks he received made Gideon quiet for the duration of the game, watching with a glare as he leaned against a wall and subtly attempted to loosen his restraints a bit. The game lasted a short while and as it went on Gideon had a growing pain in his gut. Adella was going to win, and knowing her that probably wasn’t going to be good for anyone BUT Adella.

The moment she won her prize was announced and the male pirate who had lost began declaring the plan. Gideon was in a state of shock. “Adella. NO.” It was all he could manage to say as he looked at her with wide eyes for a moment before turning to look at Astrid. “Could you please maybe just let your sister borrow some of your common sense because IT SEEMS SHE HAS LOST IT?”

“So we stay on the ship and learn to be a whole pirate crew yeah? That’s your plan? It’s a right shit one I tell ya what. The MOMENT this ship is recognized anywhere they’ll blow you all to bits. Just- get us close enough to shore to use a life boat and when we return to London I’ll clear this all up yeah? You guys get your boat and I get these girls back where they belong.”

Looking around the room it thankfully seemed that most of the pirates were also pissed about this declaration. The only one looking downright giddy with themselves was Adella. “Adella this isn’t funny, this isn’t sneaking out and flirting with boys or playing cards at the tavern. This is DANGEROUS. And you’re messing up Astrid’s plans too! She’s getting married soon, you can’t just uproot everything because you want to have fun.”

Silas “Dead-Eyes” Hawthorne

Putting this entire situation on a came off cards against a stuck up priss was… stupid. However Declan was sure he could win, which was probably true. He had only ever lost one other time but this seemed like an easy shot. So Silas chose to allow this to happen, what else were they going to do? Argue about it until the sun went down? They couldn’t just toss the three off the boat, Silas wouldn’t be able to sleep not knowing if they made it to shore. They were pirates, death happened, but they weren’t in the business of killing innocent people. Even if they were down right annoying. So while the others guarded their current prisoners, Silas remained on deck and waiting until he was summoned, keeping an eye on everything for now. Thankfully it didn’t seem to take long for it all to come together.

It also didn’t take long for it to fall apart.

“You lost.” Silas nearly laughed it out, his laughter booming louder when everyone began to lose their shit. It was fair. But a pirates word was their word right? The sister in the lilac dress seemed awfully confused, Declan was slightly too excited about it all, Hana was pissed, Hattie was pissed, Rolf was- well honestly Silas wasn’t sure. But the cherry on top of it all was their little guard LOSING it. As if he had a say? Silas finally stopped laughing as Hana gave him a look that made him roll his eyes. “I don’t know what you want me to do. I agreed to these terms. If the lady wants to stay let her stay. In two days she’ll be begging to jump into the ocean once she realizes this isn’t a vacation.”

Silas crossed his arms over his chest, taking in the anger from everyone before signing and standing up straight, holding out his hand and clearing his throat. “I don’t like pulling this card but I am your captain. What’s done is done. Live with it. Don’t protect them Hana, at this point their choice is to stay. Apparently that’s his job yeah? Hopefully he does better at it in the future. If not- well we could always use a cook right?” Silas smirked at Gideon as he continued, “Life boats are always available to you my good sir, I just won’t be adjusting my course. Your move. Now come on everyone, back to work. Declan this was your mess, handle it.”

Adella Davies
Challenging the pirates to a game of poker was absolutely a knee jerk reaction, Adella wanted to stay on the boat. She wanted to go with them, wherever it was they were going! Even if she didn’t like the final destination she was sure they would stop in some port away from Britain for some form of provisions right? She could leave then and find something to do and Astrid and Gideon could fuck off then yeah? It was a good plan, at least that’s what Adella kept telling herself. It just felt like this was an opportunity that fell in her lap, one that she wasn’t willing to let go. Plus she had already beaten one of these idiots once, although they didn’t know that.
Adella pulled the exact same tricks. Literally told the exact same bluffs. Won again. It was truly sad that he was the best they had to offer, right embarrassing really. Declan got to explaining the bet before Adella could, her eyes instantly going to her sister as he spouted off. Declan was introducing all the others, Adellas eyes flittering from person to person and trying to remember names despite the glares each person was giving. Then once done she returned her attention back to Astrid. Honestly she was preparing for her sister to be the one to start screaming but for a moment she was quiet, then all the others started in and honestly Adella was shocked the most by Gideon. “I’ll remind you that you’re not my father no matter how hard you chose to try and be. I love you like a brother Giddie but don’t start your shit with me.” It was rare that he got this worked up and Adella wasn’t going to listen to it. This was her chance! Her father would never let her go live her life the way she wanted, it quite literally was going to take a kidnapping by pirates to be free.

“Astrid is only marrying that loaf because of father, because she doesn’t want to piss him off. It’s not like I’m coming in the middle of an epic love story there.” Adella rolled her eyes, crossing her arms across her chest and huffing. The Captain was commanding attention and basically telling everyone to shut it down, causing Adella to give Gideon a cocky smile. “See, you’re free to go. I just- I’m not going with. I’m going to do this and I’m going to do it right. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and try new things, I’m not above cleaning or working. I want this.”
Adella turned and looked at her sister with pleading eyes, “You heard them, they won’t hurt us. And if you really hate it you and Gideon are free to leave whenever it’s safe too. Astrid I just- I know I pull stupid stunts all the time for a laugh but this is more than that. I promise you.”

Hattie O’Connor

Well this was a stupid fucking plan eh? Poker? For a situation of this caliber? They had KIDNAPPED the admirals children! Then when Hattie found out the outcomes of the poker bet? EVEN MORE FLABBERGASTED. This little girl wanted to stay? Laughable really. She was wearing a lace nightie for Christ sakes, her sister looked ready to cry at the thought of lifting a finger and their guard had already pissed Hana right the fuck off. Good idea really. Hopefully Declan wasn’t so much of an idiot that he couldn’t win a round of poker right?

“Aye! You blasted idiot! How hard is it to play a game of cards yeah? Can’t read those either eh? It’s not as if you can even hold them upside down you -“ Hattie stopped short and took in a long breath, dropping her face in her hands and choosing to calm down rather than keep screaming at the imbecile. That is until he began introducing everyone like it was all going to be hunky dory friend time. Ending with her and stretching out the sentence. “Embarrassing?! It’s down right brutal having to witness how utterly stupid you are sometimes! I am genuinely shocked we have not had harder times up until now with all of your faults quickly coming to light Declan.”

Hattie huffed and looked over to Hana for a moment as she took her turn in yelling, then to Rolf as everyone else took their turn in the chaos. Besides him of course. Honestly watching him simply not care kind of calmed Hattie down. “How are you so calm all the time? I could never. Must be the fire yeah?” Her joke was… bad. She pointed to her hair with a small grin, “Get it?”

Her attention turned back to the others as Silas pulled the captain card. “Whatever you say. Just- keep them out of my way yeah? I don’t want anything fucked up with the maps. No mistakes this time, we’re going to be sure before we fully commit. And I don’t need anyone playing deckhand to distract me.”

Astrid Davies

As Declan started to go on about this 'Pirate school' and introductions Astrid felt as if time stood still. They would be staying. The more and more she thought it over she thought it sounded absurd, ridiculous. The three, well, rather her and Gideon, would never do well on a pirate crew. They had their own life happening back on shore! But... that was just it. Astrid didn't want to move, she didn't want to get married. Astrid always wanted more than to be a bloody stay at home mother while her husband got to run off and have all the adventure. Their mother had always told them stories of her travels and adventures from her younger years, of all the things that were out there to see. Their island was nothing but a pebble in the giant world, and Astrid wished to see more. She was so, so sick of being perfect all of the time.

Gideon's reaction was expected and she was certain everyone would expect her to freak out next. Instead she took a deep breath and looked up Gideon with a small, hopeful smile. "You know father's giving me a life sentence marrying this guy, right? I... Let's just have one adventure before we're split up." With that said she stood and smoothed out the wrinkles in her dress. She dropped the moment of weakness and went straight back to her usual demeanor. "Plus, if you come home with neither of us I'm sure you won't ever receive that promotion." That would certainly make him rethink this whole lifeboat idea. "You win this time, Adella." She shot her sister a small smile, hoping that they could finally get along again.

"Introductions on our end then. I'm Astrid the older twin, the gambler over there is Adella, and our grumpy guard over here is Gideon. He's right though, if the boat is noticed we'll be in trouble." For crying out loud they still had the country's flag on it, they needed to do something to disguise themselves a little better. "Also, why do they call you dead eye? Is it because your eyes are so bad you couldn't find the three of us?" Was she still bitter about him holding the sword to her throat? Just a little.

Hana.

In truth Hana much preferred the skeleton crew they had. Hattie was quiet and kept to herself whenever she wasn't dodging Declan's advances, Silas minded his own and liked peace, and Rolf was the epitome of silence. The girls were just some spoiled daydreamers and the boy? He was much worse than the girls! She didn't like the captain card Silas was pulling but, once again, she worked for him and she was just going to stand by and let this whole thing play out. "Honestly? The girls will survive longer than the pretty boy. I don't gamble, but I'm putting money on it."

Suddenly the other sister seemed to flip the script and was suddenly on board? It seemed like the girls were struggling with some sort of marriage and for a second the old, soft Hana felt for them. And, once again, the pretty boy was seemingly being unreasonable again. "Listen, Giddie." Hana pulled out a kunai from her waistband and quickly freed him of the bindings that he had been attempting to loosen, "You're nothing more than an overpaid babysitter, am I right? Your girls are staying. Do your job. Guard them when things go to shit and I'll guard my crew." Her brow arched as she looked to him with a small smirk. "Or, you heard the captain. Lifeboat is all yours. Good luck getting that tiny thing to shore."

With that said she tucked her kunai away and crossed her arms across her chest. Dead-eye, huh? The whole time Hana had been here she had never thought to ask, though she did find it interesting. "Don't worry Hattie, by the time we do dock they'll be dying to get back to their lives I'm sure."

Rolf.

Finding the stowaways was an unfortunate situation, but it was a situation he knew they'd all be able to handle. Truthfully Rolf didn't stress much, he knew every problem had a solution and that as a team they could figure anything out. These people were good people, hence why Rolf was doing everything he could do to support them. He was fine sitting with the girl, Astrid?, as they waited to be summoned for the mysterious poker tournament. He himself didn't quite understand what was at stake, but when it was revealed he felt a tad surprised?

As Declan went through their introductions Rolf nodded towards the new members of the crew to greet them. Was it a good idea? He wasn't quite sure, that wasn't his call to make. They could really use extra hands, most pirates were crews of ten plus people and they were rather lacking for such a big trip. The boy looked like he was maybe somewhat decent with a sword, though he did look a bit chauvinistic. The gambling sister... Adella. She seemed like a spirited one with dreams of grandeur, she would most certainly be a good teammate. Astrid- well, he wasn't really sure on that, but she had to be good at something.

He always did find it humorous when Hattie lost her temper on Declan. He couldn't help but chuckle to himself as she tore into him about reading the cards, the poor bastard. Wasn't he usually good at this game? The gentle giant couldn't help but smile fondly at her when she looked over at him. It was well known he was awful with words but he did try to calm her down, he hated when she was frazzled.

"Ja, like wild fire." He gave a small nod as he looked at her fiery red hair, it seemed appropriate for her explosive reactions. "No stress. Paint?" Whenever she focused on something she seemed to calm down he noticed, he was hoping helping him make a new flag for their ship would calm her down. Rolf motioned to a station he had already been preparing. It had a large table for the spare flag cloth he had found, buckets of paint sitting nearby with several brushes. Rolf had clearly been planning for this since they boarded.

Declan Murphy

"Well how was I to know the lass would hornswaggle me out of joining the crew? And I can COUNT the shapes on the cards Hattie! I don't need you turning them for me." What was this, shit on Declan day? He tried, dammit. Other than a few weekends ago he had an unbeatable record! Thankfully Silas was quick to intervene and settle the rowdy crew. It damn near brought a tear to his eye, he was so proud of his brother being a man of his word. Or, maybe that was the booze talking. "Aye, aye. Thank you Captain. I knew you'd stand by your brother no matter what." The thing about Declan was yes, he was an idiot. He could talk them into trouble, he could talk them out of trouble, and he made stupid mistakes. He couldn't read to save his life, but he was extremely gifted when it came to his sense of direction. Give him a map (that's not upside down) and a compass and he could find anything.

Plus, he was cute. Having a charming, dashing drunk was essential on any pirate crew, right? "Captain's right though guys, we won't be taking it easy on any of 'ya! The ocean can get scary. Takin' turns keeping watch from the crow's nest, battening down the hatches before a storm, helpin' with cannons, helpin' with meals and cleanin' and such." The one girl seemed to have the energy to keep up with all the tasks, but the fancy dress twin and their guard? He knew that those two would most likely piss off Silas.

"I promise Hattie, we'll make sure they're useful. Nothing will mess up yer mapmakin', I promise." He hated having Hattie mad at him, he couldn't exactly blame her though. She needed time to make the perfect map, the one that would make this whole trip worth it. She was an important member to her crew and her opinion mattered, he hoped that she would get on board hopefully. Fuck, he hoped these three were worth pissing the crew off.

"Oh! Dead-eye, yeah? That there is an interesting story! I do love to hear it." He knew himself how Silas got that name, but the others didn't. He already owed Silas a huge favor by being okay with this, he'd let him have his little moment where he acted like he was a badass.

Gideon

There was no way this was happening. Even Astrid was in on this now? What she said was technically true, he wasn’t naive enough to think she actually wanted to marry that idiot but still. She wasn’t this type of girl! Not anymore and not for a long time. Not even Adella was this type of girl! He knew her better than she knew herself. She thought she wanted adventure and excitement but she didn’t know anything other than a privileged and comfortable life. Neither sister had ever had to do any form of work let alone manual labor. Working on a ship was a different form of grueling! Gideon would know, he was a naval officer dammit! “Astrid!” Gideon nearly gasped as she basically threatened his job. She was right. It’s not like he could go back without them and he had never been one to strong arm them but… this was insane. “Fine. Doesn’t seem like I have much of a choice anyways, but I promise you girls this. If this gets more dangerous than I already think it will, we leave at the next sight of land. No debate.”

This whole crew seemed dysfunctional at first glance. However they did manage to take over the ship with just four of them… even if the boat was basically all trainees it was still mildly impressive. The woman who had knocked him out, Hana was it? She came over and cut his restraints, giving him a vocal jab and causing him to scowl. Pretty boy? Babysitter? “You caught me off guard and got me good. I’ll give you that. But you and your whole crew are running on a lot of false confidence here. I bet you feel on top of the world about taking over a ship that’s part of the British Naval Fleet yeah? Well you’re lucky you picked this one on this particular day. It was being used to train new recruits. You beat up rookies.”

Gideon stretched his arms out once he was free before crossing them over his chest. Looking around the room he went over the roles that Declan had declared once more, taking mental notes. It seemed they had a plan for the flag, what was their route? “No one has said, or asked, so I will. This ship was on course for Faroe when I went to sleep last evening. Are you still keeping that course for now? I have to assume your final destination is away from Britain yeah?”

Things seemed to be calming, at least that was good. Honestly at this point Gideon just wanted to find a job to do and go do it without dealing with any of these people. Hell he nearly just walked off to find something before Astrid chimed in about the Dead Eye nickname and made Gideon chuckle. “I mean she does have a point, it’s not like the quarters are hidden. You just had to open the door…”

Silas “Dead-Eye”
“Oi, lay off the booze why don’t ya. You’re getting all emotional and weird. You know I don’t like emotional and weird.” Silas pushed Declan away from him softly with a slight smirk on his face. He possibly picked the worst best brother at the orphanage. It was a wonder they were so close and got along so well despite shit like this. Silas was sarcastic and cold while Declan was… whatever he was. The two of them had just always made for an interesting combo, add in a Viking, a pissed off Scott and a hired blade and they were literally a set up for a joke.

The sisters had their … talk? And suddenly it seemed both were completely on board. Good. Silas himself wasn’t too worried about Gideon, it was clear the man was married to his duty and his duty was keeping those girls safe. Whatever they did he would oblige, it was clear. He might be pissed off doing it but he would do it. Silas could respect that. The twin with the big mouth began to introduce themselves, Adella, Gideon and Astrid eh? Interesting.

“My eyes are fine I assure you little lady, don’t worry.” Silas winked at her and pushed away from the wall as Declan hyped him up a little. The true story? Not coming out of his fucking mouth. You see with pirate nicknames… they’re given to you and you just take them. They stick. You can’t shake them no matter what. So Silas had dead eye. Therefore Silas has to constantly tell a LIE about how he fucking got the damn name. “My old captain gave it to me after our first battle together.” True. “Ya see, I don’t shy away from a fight, never have never will. So if we’re in battle and I get close enough to look you in the eye? It’s the last thing you’ll ever see. Thus the name.”

Not true. The reality was… his eyes are such a light shade of blue that his old crew made jokes about him having dead fish eyes. But that was literally the worst story ever so maybe he embellished a bit? Now hopefully Declan just kept his mouth shut.

Silas quickly turned his attention to Gideons question to avoid any further comments or questions on the name. “Yeah it’s the next big port, far enough away from London and I doubt they think we’re stupid enough to go there so it’s actually brilliant. Short stop though, just a small supply run then rerouting towards the Royale.” Silas wasn’t interested in telling these three more than they needed to know. Port Royale was huge pirate territory so once they were there they were at least safe from the navy… and maybe if they knew were they were headed it would scare these three away before it was too late.

“Now ladies, why don’t you put on some appropriate ship clothing and let’s get you working yeah? Gideon I assume you know your way around the ship. I’d appreciate if you could fill Hana in on anything special we may have missed.” Maybe making Hana deal with him would get Gideon knocked out again. Oh well.

Hattie

So they gained three crew mates, and Hattie used the term crew and mate both very loosely. Whatever, like Hana said they would likely give up soon. This was just some silly side project for them, they would realize it wasn’t a walk in the park. It was hard work and all of the people in this crew gave up a lot for this. They weren’t going to entertain anything that could possibly ruin it. Declan spoke up, promising they wouldn’t mess anything up and he sounded earnest enough to gain and small nod and a tight smile from Hattie. “If ya say so.” She really honestly didn’t hate the man, he just drove her fucking mad. She loved everyone on the crew… maybe that was why the few times she did speak were usually anger fueled. She wanted to protect what they had.

Besides her Hattie noticed Rolf move a bit, beginning to speak to her in his short sentences. He had come a long way since she met him, his words were a lot clearer now. “Thank you big guy, this will help. Truly.” Hattie looked at the set up he had prepared and her smile grew slightly. Rolf was a scary looking man, he was large and built and quiet. But deep down he was a huge sweetheart, actually not even that deep down. It was fairly surface level as long as he liked you. Hattie took a seat and began opening cans and making a rough sketch with paint as she listened to the others go back and forth.

Silas told his story about the nickname, which simply caused Hattie to roll her eyes. Silas gave Declan a lot of shit about his dramatic gestures but they were much more alike than they thought. “You think that’s the truth?” Hattie whispered over to Rolf from where they sat aside from the group, barely glancing up from the flag as she did. It was going to take a few coats and a lot of time to get the thing painted well enough and dried enough to hang. But she had chosen a simple design, black background with a white jolly Rodger only the eyes were X’s. Dead eye. Get it?

It seemed everyone was getting back to their duties and Hattie finally looked up, “Hana if you can find a good spot for me to set up shop while Gideon shows you around let me know. Ship this big there has to be some room or corner I can spread out in yeah? Anything is better than trying to keep everything dry out on the deck.”

Adella Davies

“Bloody hell.” It was all Adella could say in response to Astrid, she was absolutely floored that the girl was down with this. Not only was she going along with it, she was telling off Gideon and a pirate captain… who possessed her sister? Then the introduction came and suddenly it was like Astrid snapped back into her body, ever prim and proper. There she is. “You’re older by four whole minutes, calm down.” Adella sighed and looked to Gideon as he grumbled a bit. He would be fine, right now he was just feeling defeated.

Adella sat back and watched the excitement, listening to the complaining and the stories and the liveliness of it all. Even just a few days of this would be worth it. She could already tell.

The woman snapped out of her daydream when Silas mentioned their choice of clothing and getting to work. Suddenly Adella was quite aware that she was still in her nightgown and robe. Right. Adella grabbed her sister by the hand and darted off in the direction of their rooms. It wasn’t like they had much for clothing aboard but she was sure she could find something more appropriate that a nightie.

-

“Astrid I’m sure you’ll find something okay? Maybe it would have been better if you had listened and chose less… loud clothing.” Adella sighed, looking over at her dejected twin. Astrid was normally good at everything so this was both a shock and a little bit of karmic justice finally. They had been shown how to tie knots in the lines, help with the sails, load cannons, scrub the deck… the last part Astrid simply refused to do it wasn’t a bad at thing. But everything else was just- not good.

Adella on the other hand was LOVING this. The crows nest had been the best part, it felt like flying! If she could spend her entire day up there with a spyglass she could die happily.

The two girls were finally resting after a few hours of work, sitting along some crates on the upper deck and watching the sun as it slowly set. “I should have asked you before I made that bet, I know that. I just didn’t think you would ever agree… plus we were locked away from each other and I literally had no time but… point is that I’m sorry. And I’m happy you’re doing this with me.” Adella smoothed her hands over the long loose navy blue skirt and she looked around the deck. “This still feels like a dream doesn’t it? So insanely unreal.”

Declan Murphy

Maybe Silas was right, Declan had a little too much to drink already. Now that he had a couple landlubbers to show the ropes he had to stop drinking! At least, until dinner. Boy howdy though, he really needed a drink training these girls. Adella was a natural! She tied knots like she had been doing it her whole life, she did exceptionally well at loading the cannons (Declan's favorite weapon as a pirate), she seemed to adapt no matter what he threw at her! And Astrid--- Well, she was trying at least. Adella and Declan had to clean up her mess each time but at least she was giving it her all? In a heavy, prissy dress mind you, but she was at least trying. Declan mentioned on more than one occasion that captain wouldn't have been pleased with her outfit, not only would it interfere with work but a dress like that was dangerous, but she basically told him where to shove his opinion. Duly noted, he just hoped that Silas didn't notice.

Which he would, eventually. But the work on deck was done for the day so he gave the girls a well deserved break. Declan had to go make dinner, anyways. Out of everyone on board he was the better cook, it wasn't great by any means but it was better than Silas's gruel. Most of the time he didn't trust Hattie's Scottish slop either, he swore the woman was trying to poison him. And Rolf? The big man was better with an axe and hammer versus kitchenware, plus he didn't very well fit in the scullery.

He was in the mess hall placing the slop on the table. Stew, biscuits, and ale. Everyone's first dinner together...this should go well. Time to fetch everyone. "For the final time Hana, you cannot throw Gideon into the water. I think you two have more in common than you think, you two are awfully uptight and bitter. Maybe you guys'll become good friends? I mean, I'm sure he'll look fetching in the clothes I gave him." Clothes were a funny word, Declan's attire was basically rags compared to Gideon's pretty boy uniform. He couldn't help but chuckle to himself as he ran up the stairs to the deck to find the girls. "Maidens I hope you're hungry, dinner is ready. Astrid I do recommend you reconsider a wardrobe change before dear ol' Captain sees ya, he's not the most patient man. Other than that I'm right proud of ya' girls for all your effort today! Adella you'll make a fine pirate."
