I am the cat that curiosity has yet to kill
You have arrived in Goldenrod City. Please, wait until the train has come to a complete stop and the doors have opened. Thank you for riding the Magnet Train! Have a good day, chimed the automatic message that rung through the speakers of the monorail. "Wow, that was faster than I thought it would be," mumbled a slightly amused Sorrel. The hissing of pressure release and doors opening indicated that the ride was in fact over. Smiling the teen stood up from her seat, stretching her arms above her head with a hum of satisfaction before snagging her backpack from the space between her seat and the one in front. Slipping her arms through the straps, and clutching them ever so slightly, Sorrel slipped into the group of people disembarking the train and made her way off and into the station. Once her feet hit the platform a huge grin spread across her face as she made her way out of the station and onto the streets of Goldenrod. It was almost like her hometown, Jubilife City, back in Sinnoh, but this placed seemed to have a lot more bustle than what she had grown up with.

With eyes glowing like stars, and a smile to match, Sorrel started to wander almost aimlessly through the city streets. This was her first time being outside of her home region, and her first time traveling further than a few cities away, so there was a lot that she didn't know about the Johto region. "First thing I should do is find a Pokémon Center," Sorrel started listing off to herself, "Next would have to be a PokéMart to get a few things. I also need to download a map of the region onto my PokéGear my parents got me.... But I don't really know how it works still," she sighed slightly while looking at the flip phone related item she had pulled out of her pocket. As she looked at it a bit more she chuckled under her breath, "I think I might just but a physical map while I'm at the store," while slipping the device back into the pocket of her shorts, "I'm only going to need it to call mom and dad anyways."

Upon making it to an intersection Sorrel stood at the corner, looking around a bit as she tried figuring out where to go from there. "I wonder were the PokéCenter is from here? I think mom said that they're normally located around the entrance of every town," perplexed she gazed left and right along the main road, "But which end is technically the entrance? Do a go left or do I go right?" Scratching her head in thought the girl decided to take a chance and go north. The opposite direction in which the Center was located.

Andy would have arrived in goldenrod City earlier, the teen just exploring the city a bit for the moment with his pokemon Aquamarine since neither of them had been to the place before just yet. It was a bit of a walk from Mohogany to Goldenrod and quite the culture shock considering they went from small town to giant city. The Azurill is currently on his right shoulder looking around at all of the various houses as well as the gym and pokecenter. This place was quite huge and therefore easy to get rather lost in, though it wasn't too bad as at least he had a map already of the area and region himself.

Taking a seat on a bench Andy just relaxes for a few moments to rest, meanwhile, the polka dot pokemon hops around him giving adorable, happy squeaks, "I get you're excited silly but calm down " he chuckles. Aqua was always a happy-go-lucky mouse when around him, that personality of hers got him to open up as a young child slowly but surely. From that day at the beach the two had pretty much always been together, the teen taking a breath as he remembers this period of his life.

A bit more thinking on that and it was time to move on, not exactly sure which exit to take at this moment, he would think on that for a bit before heading north. Of course, before that, he made absolutely sure to visit the pokecenter just to check if Aqua was alright. Sure they hadnt been in any battles yet since departing from their parents' house but it never hurt to make sure to him. "Okay, so what kinds of things are we going to see out here?" Andy asks the mouse out loud just getting a squirt of water in response and her tongue sticking out as if to say not to worry about it. Both now head north to route 35 to see what kinds of pokemon were out there, with a few balls potions and berries in his bag

As she made it to the north end of the city, it was slowly becoming apparent to Sorrel that she, just maybe, had gone in the wrong direction. Stopping in her tracks she looked around, noting that there wasn't a Pokémon Center in sight. "Dang it! It is the other way," she sighed softly as she turned around. Now facing the opposite direction than the one she had been travelling in. Pulling out her PokéGear she noted the time, around half an hour had passed her by since she had arrived in the city, and it would probably take her around the same amount of time to traverse to the other end of town. More than likely when she made it to the Center she would need to take a moment to gather her stamina again before trying to attempt to leave the city.

Not wanting to take any chances that her leg will give out on her, Sorrel reached into her front pocket and pulled out a shrunken PokéBall. With one click of the button it grew to standard size and she promptly tossed it up in the air. The PokéBall burst open and a white light emerged before taking shape in front of the girl. When the light faded, and the ball back in her hand, a Gallade stood in front of Sorrel. Her partner, Garret. "Ready for a new adventure," she asked her partner with a smile as she slipped the shrunken PokéBall back into her pocket, only to be met with a slightly stern look equivalent of a parent to their child. Sorrel raised her brow as she leaned forward towards Garret, smile unfaltering, "What!? I promise it won't be as bad as last time! You'll make sure of that!" The Gallade rolled his eyes and gave a small, smug smile before tussling his trainer's bangs with his fingers, causing the girl to laugh. Shooing his hand away. "See! What did I say! Now, we need to go find the Pokémon Center, and a PokéMart."

The pair started retracing the girl's steps back towards the station, and away from the entrance of route 35. Once back at the intersection Sorrel stopped and pulled out her PokéGear to check the time again. Fifteen minutes had passed since she last checked the time, forty-five overall since her arrival. She still had enough stamina to keep going for a while longer thankfully. Sorrel looked around at the different people that were walking around, trying to find someone to ask for the correct directions. Soon she settled on a boy her age that was wearing a lab coat and orange hair. With a big smile on her face she started walking towards him, "Excuse me," she called out while waving her hand above her head to better get his attention, Garret on her right. When she felt that she had his attention she politely asked, "Could you point me in the right direction of the Pokémon Center? I'm not from here so I'm a little lost."

Andy would be on his way to route 35 when another voice would ring out as someone headed towards him, Could you point me in the right direction of the Pokémon Center? I'm not from here so I'm a little lost."

He and the mouse turn around upon hearing this, "That isn't any problem at all, this place is so big I still get lost, and im from here," he responds gently looking the both of them over a bit. "You're actually going the wrong way, the center is back to the south, I can lead you back there so you don't end up getting lost again. Thankfully, the center and mart are right next to each other." Aqua meanwhile is squeaking happily in greeting both the pink haired lady and the pokemon with her while Andy would begin leading her back to the pokecenter, the two buildings having the usual red and blue roofs on them. "The name is Andy, by the way, the small blue excited squeaker here is Aquamarine. Nice meeting you"

From the station, the walk back to the pokecenter was a reasonably short one, Andy not saying too much for now after the introduction and by now Azurill had also settled down and resumed her perch on his shoulder as he scoops her up. They would arrive at the center about 5 minutes later, Andy now playing a bit of a tour guide, "Here we are, this is the pokecenter, and the building to the left of it is the pokemart, the red and blue roofs kinda make it a little easier to find but Goldenrod is still a bit of a maze of a city." he then heads inside the center guessing she wanted to check on the pokemon as well as prepare for trips.

Sorrel rubbed the back of her head a bit, feeling a bit embarrassed, "I'm so glad I asked instead of trying to figure things out myself," she chuckled slightly. Upon his offer to take her there, Sorrel's eyes light up like a Yamper staring at a ball, "Realy!? You would!? Oh thank you so much, I really appreciate it!" Feeling giddy at this point she happily began following the boy with Garret in tow. She listened intently as the boy introduced himself as Andy and his Azurill, "It's nice to meet you both! My name is Sorrel, and this guy here," gesturing to her Gallade, "Is my partner, Garret." The Gallade bowed respectfully to the boy and the baby Pokémon as his form of greeting. It was kinda clear that he didn't tend to say much of anything, prefering to be the stoic, silent type of mon.

The walk there felt a bit awkward as neither party spoke during their short walk. When they arrived at the Pokémon just a few minutes later Sorrel grinned as the sight of the mundane red roofed and blue roofed builds, "It's been so long since I've been to either of these," she whispered softly as to not draw attention to herself, her eyes hinting a bit of longing though. Garret sensing this looked at his trainer and once again tussled her hair a bit, snapping her back into reality and causing her to shoot a smile at the Gallade. Noticing Andy heading inside the teen followed suit as quickly as she could. Once inside Sorrel made her way to the front desk and asked Nurse Joy if she could take her Gallade to the back for a quick check up. The trainer smiled at her Pokémon before he was escorted to the back by Nurse Joy's Chansey.

Making her way back over to Andy she smiled at him, "Thank you again Andy. This city is a bit like a maze, and I really appreciate you taking the time to help." Glancing over at Aquamarine the girl smiled at the water mouse Pokémon, "Your Azurill is so cute, I've never met one in person before," Sorrel commented as she reached her finger out towards Aquamarine to sniff in hopes that she might get a chance to pet it.

Once at the center Andy would wait for the girl that introduced herself as Sorrel to have her pokemon returned back to her, like he figured it was just a checkup, the mon being taken to the back by the Nurse Joy's Chansey. "You must be quite experienced if you already have a Gallade," Andy remarks when Sorrel returns back to him feeling just a bit out of his depth now as this gave off the vibe of a soon to be champion that perhaps already collected all the gym badges, or that she was a champion already in another region and came here seeking more challenges.

Sorrel speaking up again gets him back to reality for a moment, "Thank you again Andy. This city is a bit like a maze, and I really appreciate you taking the time to help."

"Oh, no problem Sorrel, we are glad to help " he responds back while watching Sorrel try and pet the little mouse. "Go right ahead, she really likes being petted anyway" he comments giving Sorrel the green light here, if she needed more of one though, Aqua would sniff and nuzzle the finger Sorrel held out, smiling all the while. "She is a playful sort, and pretty much why I even started on a journey in the first place. We met on a beach when she came out the water and started playing together by building little sandcastles and such. That over the years led to receiving her as a starter present from my parents." he would remark now trying to strike up a conversation.

While giggling and petting Aquamarine the girl's face suddenly became flushed with embarrassment at Andy's comment of her partner Pokémon. Normally a pretty experienced trainer would have a Gallade, but her case is truly unique. "I wish I could say that your statement is true," she said quietly while giving the baby Pokémon one last pat on the end, "But I would be lying if I agreed with you.. Call it dumb luck if anything, that seems more suited for it," her smile turning a bit softer as she stood up straight. Hearing Andy talk about how him and Aquamarine met allowed her smile to stay plastered to her face, "That reminds me of how I came to met Garret." Almost as if on que the Gallade walked through the double doors from the back room, Chansey waving him off. Seems that his check up was done and judging by the lack of unordinary, it was safe to assume that he was in good health.

As he made his way to his trainer's side the girl turned to beam at the Pokémon, "All good huh? Needed to be sure before we set out." Turning her attention back to Andy she nudged the Gallade with her elbow teasingly, "When I was about 6, I met Garret here by a pond outside of my hometown while playing around with some Magikarp. I think he enjoyed the energy I gave off. You know, over excited, childlike happiness," she giggled, "Anyways, I would visit him often and my parents would let me bring him home to play with sometimes. Once I was 10 though I got to catch him so that way we could be together all the time." Wrapping her arm around Garret's shoulder to give him a bit of a side hug, "Since then this worrywart has been with me through thick and thin. I couldn't have asked for a better partner!" Sorrel let go of her Pokémon in time for him to nudge her out of embarrassment for putting him on the spot as she had. "So you said that the PokéMart is the blue building next-door, correct?" Pointing in the general direction of the mart from where she stood.

"I wish I could say that your statement is true," that was a surprise Andy wasn't exactly ready for.

Well, then assuming someone didn't just give you the Gallade, you must have quite a bond with him then I'm very happy to hear that. Also seems we pretty much did the same for our respective partners, though I didn't have any battles beforehand so there is that. Azurill meanwhile enjoys the many pats and pets from Sorrel now, "That is very impressive I must say" he compliments her as the gallade would be returned to her. Andy has a laugh as the Gallade gives Sorrel a side hug.

Andy then takes aqua for now and heads out of the door of the center and heads next door to the building with the blue roof now. "Here is the pokemart, of course here you can buy anything like potions and such " he would explain and head into the mart now. He already had his stuff from here so didn't need to buy anything here at the moment. "So im assuming you would look to buy perhaps potions and maybe the status healing items.

The duo nodded their heads to Andy's comment. They did share a pretty tight bond, looking out for each other, and being the rock for the other when the need arises. Sorrel hoped in her heart her and Garret could make it to be the trainer there is. But of course that type of dream isn't complete without trying to catch other Pokémon to help get her to that level. Sure there probably are trainers out there that have done so with only one Pokémon, Sorrel didn't believe she had that type of raw talent within herself. "Thank you," she responded. Gazing back at Aquamarine the girl gave her another pat on the head before deciding that the little one pry had enough by now. Sorrel certainly had her fill for the time being.

Seeing Andy start to head out, Sorrel and Garret followed close behind as to not lose sight of him. When they made it to, and inside of, the next building Sorrel's eyes grew wide again. Like a kid in a candy store. Hearing Andy chime up about what she was wanting to come here for she glanced over and nodded along with the few things he riddled off. "Exactly!" Sorrel made a beeline for the isle, with Garret close behind, that held the medicine, grabbing a few potions and two of each status healer. She wasted no time going over to the isle that held the PokéBalls, "Garret can you grab five of those for me please?" With a silent nod the Gallade did as he was asked before following his trainer to the front counter. Once everything was rung up the girl paid for her items, slipped her backpack off and opened it, then placed all her newly purchased items neatly inside, and zipped it back up before slipping her arms through the straps again.

Giving the straps a tug of good measure Sorrel beamed excitedly, "Now I should be ready! I have everything I need!" This promptly caused her Gallade to, ever so gently, smack the girl on the back of her head, resulting in an instant "Ow" before pointing towards something hanging near the entrance of the store. Rubbing her head a bit Sorrel turned her attention in the direction of Garrets pointing, only to see a map of the Johto region hanging on the wall by the door. Flustered the teen quickly walked over to the map and saw underneath it that there were instructions on how to download it onto the PokéGear. After a few minutes of fiddling Sorrel had managed to get the map of the region download onto her device. Turning back towards Andy, cheeks still a bit rosy from embarrassment, she cleared her throat before stating, "Ok. Now I have everything I need."

"Your welcome" he responds back to Sorrel, the tight bond between her and Garret was evident no matter the reasons for it, pretty much the bond with Andy and Aqua. The pair head out of the pokecenter and into the pokemart, Andy providing some useful tips on starting items to buy such as potions or status healing items and of course pokeballs, though he didn't the feel the need to mention those specifically. It seems Garret was being her right-hand mon almost literally as Andy watches him head off and grab 5 pokeballs from another isle.

With the items newly paid for now in Sorrels bag and a map of the region also downloaded for her, "Ok. Now I have everything I need."

"Not quite", Andy jokes a bit, "Of course, now we both need other pokemon" turning to head back out of the pokemart and go up north to route 35. The walk there being a bit awkward again, he did have a question on what caused Garret to turn into a Gallade if Sorrel was a rookie trainer; he decides not to prod on that matter for now. Route 35 itself is a fairly straightforward route leading to the National Park of Johto with some tallgrass along the sides of it, Andy staying more on the road for the moment, at least until Sorrel decides to look for wild pokemon to add to her group. During this whole time, Aqua is calm and quiet, not happily squeaking everyone's ears off, though that could have beed thanks to Garret who pretty much commanded some type of respect in regards to constant talking thanks to his form.

"So are you going to look for pokemon along this route Sorrel?" Andy poses the question to her

Hearing Andy speak up about how they should probably try catching some Pokémon Sorrel had to secretly agree with him. A newbie trainer like her probably wouldn't make it too far with just her Gallade. It had been years since she had tried her hand at Pokémon battles, and wild Pokémon battles, so she already knew this might prove to be a challenge for herself. Not only that, but she's not experienced in catching Pokémon either as she had befriended Garret before they officially became partners. That wouldn't always be the case with the other Pokémon she'd meet. As they walked on Sorrel noticed that they were headed back north towards where she was originally heading prior to meeting Andy. She could feel the excitement bubbling inside herself with each step she took.

Turning her attention to the boy as he spoke up Sorrel shrugged her shoulders a bit as she slipped her hands into her pockets. "I'm not sure yet. We'll see though! There's always the potential of making a new friend," she stated with a smile, "Though I have a semi rough idea of what Pokémon I'd like to catch during my travels here. I read about some of them in books growing up, so I'd like to try and find those ones if I can." As a kid Sorrel remembered watching a rancher in Solaceon town riding on the back of a Rapidash when herding some Mareep, and seeing someone else ride on the back of an Arcanine. She hopes to catch a Pokémon like either of those to help her travel when her leg starts acting up on her. Which was slowly starting to hurt, but she kept quiet as they journeyed on, not wanting to hold Andy back.

"I'm not sure yet. We'll see though! There's always the potential of making a new friend,"

"That is indeed true "he nods moving along for now along the route. The area would have grass more off to the side to prevent some unwanted encounters, though Andy would eventually head into the grass and start searching with Aqua, meanwhile, Sorrel could of course do the same. Andy now spends the next couple of minutes searching in the grass before some rustling is heard off to his right for now. That noise being made by actually 2 pokemon, those being a jigglypuff and Growlithe, both looking ot Andy and Aqua

Though the puff would look to act first for now looking to use a charm on the mouse having her be a bit hesitant before firing off a bubblebeam once Andy instructed her to do so. This hitting the puff and knocking her back for now.

(short post as I'm unsure if you wanted me to handle the growlithe as well)

Walking down the gravel path Sorrel stopped when she noticed Andy had veered off course into the tall grass. I guess he really wants to try his hand at finding another Pokémon, she thought to herself, but she was also curious as to what the purpose of his journey is. Not only that, but why was he so willing to help her out this much, and how much longer would they be travelling together? Those seemed like questions she'd ask later or find the answers at a later time. Glancing at Garret the two exchanged a nod before following Andy's lead and venturing into the grass a pace behind him. Each step becoming slightly more painful, but she masked it well enough that only her Gallade noticed.

Coming up close behind Andy she heard the grass to the right of them rustle, causing Sorrel to stop and turn towards the noise. Garret swiftly moved himself in front of his trainer to face whatever Pokémon was headed towards them. Sorrel's eyes lit up when she noticed two separate Pokémon, an adorable Jigglypuff, and a Growlithe. "Holy Miltank! A Growlithe," she exclaimed gleefully at the sight of the puppy Pokémon. It was exactly what she had been yearning for! But this didn't seem like it'd be super easy, as the Growlithe crouched down into a defensive position and began growling at its friend being hit by a bubblebeam. With a grin Sorrel reached her hands up to the back of her head and tightened her ponytail a bit, "Sorry little buddy! But I'm going to be the one you have the pleasure of battling," with a swift movement of her hand the teen pointed at the fire type, "Garret use Aerial Ace!" The Gallade extended the blades on its elbows before the glowed a bright white color, and leaped at the Growlithe, hitting it with an Aerial Ace. Sending it back a bit.

Growlithe stood back up, still growling before lunging at Garret with a Bite attack. "Dodge it!" Garret side stepped to the left and managed to avoid the Bite, but Growlithe was a bit smarter. Once it passed the Gallade it turned around sharply into a Flame Wheel, hitting him square in the back. "Garret," Sorrel exclaimed loudly as her partner shouted from the pain of the attack, "Are you ok? Can you still battle?" Garret glanced over at his trainer, a smug smile on his face as he nodded his head a bit. The gesture allowed his trainer to relax a bit and take a deep breath, "Right. We're still in this," a smile spread across her face, "Alright Garret, hit Growlithe with a Psybeam!" Reaching a hand up an eeire, rainbow beam shot out towards the fire type. Though Growlithe managed to counter the Psybeam with an Ember, causing a small explosion and smokescreen.

"Hey Andy! Are you doing alright?!" Sorrel shouted as she glanced over her shoulder to check on the boy and his Azurill.

While the battle between gallade and Growlithe rages on, After the bubblebeam, the puff would look to use disarming voice which hits before aqua would use another bubblebeam which misses this time. The puff going for a pound after this, " Dodge that please Aqua " Andy calls making her hop out of the way of the pound.

From here, the puff would go for a sweet kiss which would have the mouse blushing lightly as it tries a water gun but it would be wayward in its aim thanks to confusion, the pink pokemon using a charm looking as cute as possible and leaving Aqua much more relaxed for now Another bubblebeam would be used and even though it hits it would be slower and less focused. The fairy type now starting to sing, the tune sending both Andy and aqua heading to snooze which of course gets the jigglypuff to sport its by now legendary pouty face and start drawing silly designs while they snooze.

Sorrel's timing couldn't have been any better when checking on her guide. She had managed to catch the seemingly end of his battle with Jigglypuff and watching the pink puffball doodle over the faces of Andy and Aquamarine. The teen's face contorted some as she tried holding back her laughter, but it was too overwhelming. Sorrel busted out in pure, and utter, laughter at the sight she was witnessing. Her sides were starting to hurt a bit from her laughing. Thankfully Garret managed to get her to start drawing her back into her own battle with a sharp yell as he hit the Growlithe with his elbow blade.

"Alright Garret, we should probably wrap this up," she mustered while collecting herself, whipping a tear from her eye, "Now! False Swipe!" The Gallade's elbow blades glowed white again as he charged at the puppy Pokémon, who tried dodging again. This time Garret was more prepared, turning sharply and hitting it in the side with the False Swipe. Growlithe howled in pain, skidding across the grass before stopping once its body made contact with a tree. It growled a bit as it tried to stand back up and fight on, but the last hit it took proved to be too much as it collapsed from exhaustion. "Now's my chance!" Sorrel swung her backpack in front of herself and opened it up, reaching inside to pull out a PokéBall from the pouch inside. Dropping her bag, the teen drew her arm back, "Alright! Here goes nothing! Go, PokéBall," she shouted while throwing the PokéBall at the unconscious Growlithe on the ground. On contact the Pokémon was enveloped in a red light before getting sucked up into the capture device. Garret cautiously started making his way back to his trainer as they both stared at the orb as it wiggled on the ground for a few seconds, which felt like an eternity, before it chimed and stopped moving.

Sorrel's eyes went wide, and she squealed in excitement, "I did it! I did it!" Hugging Garret tightly as she jumped up and down as the two celebrated their achievement. A minute or two passed before she let go of her partner and raced towards her PokéBall, then snatched it up off the ground. "I caught a Growlithe!" PokéBall held above her head victoriously as she gazed off in Andy's direction only to be reminded that he was still asleep. "Oh my gosh! Andy," she exclaimed as she shrunk the PokéBall down, slipping it into her pocket before running off to him. Sorrel got on her knee before placing a hand on his shoulder and shaking the boy, "Andy! Hey, wake up! Jigglypuff might get away!" Garret knelt next to Aquamarine before prodding gently at the baby Pokémon in attempt to wake her.

Jigglypuff continues being the silly little artist while the two snooze away, with Sorrel doing her thing and eventually catching the fire pup. By the time both would wake thanks to her, they have little squiggly looking suns on all over their faces while the puff makes various silly faces of its own. Both just share a laugh at the unscheduled nap and the doodles. Least it wasnt anything too bad or something they couldnt tell what it even was.

"Cute" Andy simply says gently before aqua would blast it with a bubblebeam beam again sending the puffball bouncing back a bit, clearly in the mood to play some more it appears. Though while it wanted to play some more, Andy would be looking to end this for now. After the bubblebeam he looks to get a pokeball and toss it at the pink puff ne shake...two shakes...three shakes followed by a click. "Whew, well that was rather silly i guess," he says with a sheepish expression. "congratulations on the Growlithe though, we need to head back and get everyone healed up and get rid of all this marker. Unless you were looking to do something else out here?"

Barring an answer from Sorrel, Andy and his mouse would begin to head back to Goldenrod City to make a trip to the pokemon center again and once everyone is healed up it would be back to the route to continue to move on to the next town.

A sigh of relief escaped the girl as she managed to wake the boy from his impromptu nap. With Andy and Aquamarine now awake Sorrel backed up some, joining in on the laughter now that she got a better look at the doodles on their faces. She decided to remain where she was to watch him finish his battle with the seemingly sassy Jigglypuff. Upon his successful capture the girl clapped hands, "Woohoo! Way ta go Andy," she cheered. When her clapping stopped she couldn't help but to chuckle again now that Andy himself had become embarrassed, and shook her head at his questioning of if she needed to look for anymore Pokémon right now. She did need to get back into the city since it was so close, Garret was in need of some care after that battle, and so did her new found friend.

Placing her hand on her knee Sorrel pushed herself to stand up, but as she was halfway standing, she started to lose feeling in her leg. Oh crud! She stumbled a bit as she began to fall forward. Suddenly an arm shot out in front of the teen and caught her in time before she made contact with the ground. Looking over she wasn't surprised to see that it was none other than her partner, Garret. "Thanks Garret," she murmured softly as he helped her to stand up. Sorrel had reached her limit for the time being and her old injury had caused her leg to give out on her after pushing herself too hard physically as well. The Gallade squatted down in front of his trainer before looking back at her, "Gallade," his raspy voice said, trying to tell his trainer that he would carry her like he used to. Sorrel knew, and understood, what her partner was saying despite the obvious language barrier and knew that arguing would be pointless. So she clambered onto Garret's back and wrapped her arms around his neck while he wrapped his arms around her legs before standing up. His trainer now piggy backing on him the Pokémon then collected the girl's backpack before walking back towards Andy.

With a silent stare Garret followed alongside the boy as they started their trek back to Goldenrod City.

Heading back to the center is alot easier as now both have an idea where it is and is fairly uneventful. That is if you don't count Andy seeing Sorrel getting carried back by Garret instead of walking. This prompted him to ask, "Are you alright?" both Andy and Aqua looked at her with concern, however seeing Garret had things another control, they continue the walk back to the pokecenter although a bit slower this time, the mouse taking her perch on his shoulder again.

Goldenrod by now is full of people mostly on lunch breaks or just getting back from lunch breaks including the nurse joy who had just finished a sandwich when they arrive. Andy hands over the now 2 pokeballs to be healed up before heading over to a couch to wait for the time needed to heal them up. While he does that, both Andy and Sorrel would hear over a PA system that Team Rocket would be out and about causing trouble for passers-by such as stealing pokemon or items and just being nuisances in general. Andy gives Sorrel a concerned glance as this PA concludes that they seem to be scattered throughout the area. "We better be careful going along the routes now" he sighs a bit given that aside from Garret, they weren't exactly with the most trained pokemon just yet and needed to get stronger to avoid getting taken by that group.

"Haha, yeah! I'll be ok," she chuckled rather nervously, "I just.. I don't really want to talk about it right now." Propping her chin on Garret's shoulder as he continued to carry the girl through the bustling city. Sorrel let out a faint huff that her partner immediately knew gave away some of her true feelings, feelings of sadness. But the girl masked it with a gentle smile as to not let those emotions show through. As they continued to walk down the city's main drag it didn't take them long to end up at their intended destination for some well deserved tlc.

When they made it inside of the building Garret walked over to an empty bench and sat his trainer down on it before handing her back her bag. "Thanks Garret," her voice soft as she smiled sweetly at her companion, whose smile mimed his trainer's. Reaching into her pocket she pulled out two PokéBalls, Garret's and her new Growlithe's, and handed them over to the Gallade who then made his way to the counter. The Gallade spoke strictly to Chansey, explaining the situation to it and pointing out his trainer for the pink Pokémon to seek out once the treatment was over. He then returned himself inside of his PokéBall before Chansey carried the tray to the back for treatment.

A dinging noise caused Sorrel some confusion as she looked up towards the ceiling of the Pokémon Center, her eyes training on one of the PA system's speakers. At first Sorrel was confused because back in her region she had never heard of any sort of "Team Rocket" before; but as the announcement continued the girl clenched her fists, she could feel her blood boiling. They most definitely sounded like they were on par with Team Galactic in terms of problem causing. "I can't stand bullies like that," Sorrel growled as she slammed her fists on her knees, but when Andy spoke up her gaze was met with that of a slightly frightened boy who sat across from her. Her hands started to relax as she reached over and placed one on his knee, "Hey," her voice now gentle as she smiled reassuringly at him, "It'll be ok. I'll do my best to make sure that we get out of here with little to no hiccups. Ok?" Sorrel gave his knee a soft pat before withdrawing it and sitting straight.

"Haha, yeah! I'll be ok," she chuckled rather nervously, "I just.. I don't really want to talk about it right now."

"Oh im sorry about that, forgive the rudeness" he says now very much ashamed of himself for being so forward as the two arrived in the center. Andy would hand his pokemon over to nurse joy while Garret would do the same to Chansey. Once done he heads back to the bench while that PA occurs and gives a sigh/ He knew about these guys in Kanto causing problems as well and didn't like them coming here to continue the chaos. He wanted to stop them as soon as possible, but given they needed more training that was not the wisest idea really.

However, it seems Sorrel was more into that idea as Andy did see her expression and it was filled with rage, "You have this problem where you're from as well?" he guesses wearing his own slightly frightened expression, though it would be eased by Sorrel patting him on the knee and smiling at him.

"It'll be ok. I'll do my best to make sure that we get out of here with little to no hiccups."

"That is nice to know Sorrel, thank you but we need to train first in case we run into these guys" he nods as he continues waiting for the pokemon to be returned back to him. This happens another 2 minutes later, and once Sorrel got her pokemon back, would head back out into Goldenrod City now on the looking for any rocket grunts.

Upon hearing his question the girl nodded her head, "Kinda. Back home we have a group known as Team Galactic. They like to cause trouble too, but I never really learned to what extent. My parents use to tell me that they steal from people and have buildings and store houses around the region." Sorrel lend back a bit as she started to regain feeling back into her leg slowly. Hoping to regain enough to get her through the city and back on route to the next city so that she could trainer more and work on battling the gym leaders of the region.

Noticing Andy calm down some she felt a bit more at ease now herself, but he did make a good point. If they did run into any members of Team Rocket there was a chance that their combines strengths might not be enough. Soon there was another dinging noise, this one different than the previous. She watched as Andy got up and made his way to the counter to retrieve his Pokémon while Nurse Joy's Chansey made its way to Sorrel. Waddling up to the seated girl the egg Pokémon held out the silver tray that held Sorrel's two PokéBalls, "Thank you Chansey," she said as she gentle retrieved the devices presented to her. Chansey cooed happily before making its way back to the front counter where it belonged.

Sorrel gazed at her PokéBalls as she debated on letting either Pokémon out, but ultimately decided that it would be best to keep both confined for the time being. With either of them out it might make it easier for these Rocket people to try abducting them. As she got to her feet the pinkish red-haired girl slipped them both into the pocket of her shorts while gazing over towards Andy. When she could see that he was ready to go Sorrel followed him out of the building so that they could get back to route 35.

"Thank you nurse Joy" Andy would say as he got his pokeballs from her. Andy now keeping Aqua out for now while the Jigglypuff would be in its ball, Andy just feeling more comfortable with her out though Sorrel not having either of them out made sense as well. The other ball containing the jigglypuff would be in Andys pants pocket before both of the pair would exit the center and make the trek to route 35.

The trek there would be uneventful but now Andy would look for any weird trainers that were perhaps in those R uniforms. For the moment there didn't seem to be any along the route to the National park but that could always change. There would be some trainers of the normal variety roaming around that were looking for battles and in some cases doing them, one with a pikachu facing a charmander. Andy not interuppting this and just continuing on the route.

It eventually opens up to the park where there are benches all around for them to have a seat on as well as some various pokemon roaming around in the grass, overall a relaxing and cute little scene. Andy once again looking around the area and again there doesnt seem to be any of those guys around. "Hmmm, so far no sighting of them, and team Galactic sounds possibly worse but at least as annoying as Team Rocket."

Making their way through the city Sorrel started to become more relieved the closer to Route 35 they got. Their transition on to the well beaten dirt path felt like a weight off her shoulders once they made it there. She could tell though that Andy was still worried that someone might jump out at them as they headed north, causing her to instinctively slip her hands into the pockets of her shorts where the tips of her finger on her right hand grazed her PokéBalls. But it seemed that the only ones making a ruckus were fellow Pokémon trainers, which gave Sorrel a bit more relief. Part of her yearned to join in on the fun, but she didn't want Andy stressing out anymore over the potential of Team Rocket being right behind every other tree.

Soon they came upon a point in the route that opened up into a fairly large park with benches, a huge fountain, and multiple different Pokémon wandering in the grass. Sorrel was a bit mesmerized at the sight as her eyes grew wide and a huge smile spread across her face, "Oh wow!" Her attention turned to Andy as she heard him comment on the lack of strange people clad in uniforms and Team Galactic. "They probably are worse, but I'm not sure what they're evening doing over there. It wasn't really something I kept up with too hard as a kid," Sorrel replied as she shrugged her shoulders, "I just know for a fact that they're a much of trouble making no goods with really bad haircuts." The end of her own statement caused the girl to chuckle a bit as her hands fell back to her side.

The park was really pretty to look at, and there probably were a few things around here that they could do. But it would depend upon the factors of if they had time before it got dark, and if it was safe enough for them currently as they were probably still at risk of Team Rocket showing up. "Hey Andy. Is there anything at this park that you want to do, or should we keep moving on to the next city," Sorrel asked with raised brows and a smile.

This park was pretty to look at, Andy relaxing a bit after arriving here mainly so as not to freak out Sorrel who had apparently already caught on to why he was worried. Seeing so many pokemon and trainers around did loosen him up a bit as with all the eyes surely team rocket wouldn't try anything.

Andy listens as she would comment on team Galactic and their similarities to Rocket, except for the region they appeared in, he even chuckles at Sorrel calling them "a bunch of trouble making no goods with really bad haircuts."

Currently, it is sunset, night coming in about a few hours, " seems we have time either to catch another pokemon or train the ones we have in a battle with another trainer " Andy comments " think I'll try another trainer for now."

With the options laid before her the answer what Sorrel wanted to do was rather obvious. Just like Andy she too wanted to try her hand at battling one of the many trainers that were in the park. "You know, I think I'll do that too," she chimed while gazing over at the main section of the park. A thought pooped into her head though, there was something she needed to do before she tried battling anyone. Slipping her hand into her pocket Sorrel pulled out a PokéBall. Clicking the button once caused it to grow to standard size, with a smile she tossed the ball in front of her gently, "Come on out." Bright white light emerged from the ball before manifesting into Growlithe.

The puppy Pokémon looked up at his new trainer with a rather serious gaze. Without hesitation Sorrel crouched down to be at eye level with Growlithe, "Hi there! I'm Sorrel," her voice chipper while greeting her knew found friend. Growlithe looked at the teen somewhat quizzically as it continued to stare, unsure of what was going on entirely. Sorrel smiled softly at the fire type as she held her hand out towards it, "I'm hoping that we can become good friend, you and me. We're going to have so many fun adventures together and go places we'd never think to go before! I'm excited to have you with me, and I look forward to being together from here on out, Apollo!"

Apollo was taken aback by his trainer's statement, especially at that fact that she had given him a name. It was evident in his eyes as his gaze had softened and there appeared to be a slight sparkle to them. The Growlithe turned his attention towards the girl's hand that she was still holding out to him. Leaning forward he sniffed his trainer, locking her scent into his mind. Soon he smiled at her, barking, before leaping at her and knocking her over. Apollo gave his trainer an enthusiastic lick to her cheek as an answer to her statement, tail wagging ecstatically.

Sorrel laughed after being knocked on her back by Apollo, her laughter got louder when her cheek was licked, "Apollo that tickles!" Sitting back up her laughter grew quieter as she hugged the fire type and buried her face in his warm fur. The two sat like that for a moment before the teen decided that they should both get up. When Sorrel got to her feet the two smiled at each other before Apollo was returned to his PokéBall, which she then slipped into her pocket.
