With his friends at the orphanage and at the cafe, Salem can be seen smiling and laughing. Salem isn't quite the jokester he once was, but he can be pretty social with people and crack a few witty comments here and there. Though Salem trusting his friends, he doesn't reveal much to them about what he has on his mind. Not even a year old, Salem and his parents quickly packed and took the first flight to London. Stefan took over Walters bakery in London and Ardith became a stay-at-home mother.
When Salem was finally old enough, he was sent to Hebrew school every Sunday as a child. Ardith was a big believer of Judaism since she was a child and wanted to pass though's beliefs down to her son. Spoiler: Didn't really work out the way she hoped.
A couple years later Ardith developed cancer and passed on quickly from it. Young Salem was then living with his father, Stefan at that time. The death was very hard to deal with for Stefan so he sent Salem off to live with a cousin of late Ardith's in Italy and he was never heard of again. Life hasn't been the kindest to Salem since the cousin of his late mother quickly gave up her care of Salem and sent him to an orphanage.
Salem didn't have the best life in the orphanage either. It was filled with kids way older than him at the time and he ended up having to transfer orphanages and going to one in Florence, Italy where the kids were less intense.
Thank god for that orphanage, Salem has now made very good friends there that he considers family.

Standing 6'1 with a tone physique, naturally fluffy brunette hair which he brushes once or twice throughout the day and a large ass nose, this is Salem. Unfortunately for Salem, he sucks at picking out "fashion forward" clothing. Salem sticks normally with some kind of flannel and a basic tee shirt. Only thing about fashion Salem likes are shoes. Leather boots and sneakers of all kinds... Oh! If you didn't notice yet, Salem has part of his eyebrow missing. It's not shaved to be edgy. Eight years or so, back when Salem was thirteen and living at another orphanage far from Florence, he got into a fight with the older teens in the orphanage. One of the teens had a switchblade and made a deep cut on that eyebrow which left no hair growing back after it healed.Personality
Salem has thoughts scrambling around in his mind 24/7. A lot of the thoughts are depressing, but there are plenty that aren't, so he tends to have on and off moods throughout the day. Content or depressed, no in-between. These past couple of years, Salem has been able to control his mood on his own with his recently discovered talent in poetry and music. One earbud in and one earbud out almost all the time. History
Salem Theodore Emerson was born in Germany to his working class parents, Ardith and Stefan Emerson. Ardith worked as a hairdresser while Stefan owned their small family business bakery on the main street of their home town in Germany. Quickly time passed by in their German town and Stefan got a call from a worker of their other German bakery in London. Stefans twin brother, Walter, lived in London and owned the other bakery there. The worker told Stefan tragic news, Walter had passed on from an armed robbery at the bakery, Walter was shot.
