Of Distant Legends

It has been only a handful of years since the Kingdom of Ethengarde's official founding, though it de facto existed for nearly three decades prior in the form of a primitive society, it wasn't until King Ozirmok united the people that it could be called a true, united country. Now, it is a shining jewel of growth and progress in a region that didn't see any major civilization ever since the fall of the High Aelf Empire only a hundred years ago. Surrounded by plentiful space for expansion and peaceful neighbors with which to trade, the nation has a bright future ahead of it, at least for the foreseeable decades.

Its ruler, King Ozirmok Glamis Ethengarde is a hero demigod who rescued his citizens from the clutches of evil countless times, and eventually, backed by all other, minor leaders in the area, became their king.

King Ethengarde has weathered and bravely withstood the voracious jaws of dragons, the superimposed cruelty of devils, and the nefarious darkness of demons. Invasions of those Below, and invasions of that Beyond is naught but another year for the old king.

However, these threats remain at large, and so, the king has established an organization known as the Adventurer's Guild, which tackles any request or tasks the guard or private workers will not, at a reasonable price. It provides support and simultaneously administrates and regulates what is known as adventurer teams, or parties.

Though private teams can be formed and adventurers can work independently, each town has its own Kingdom-funded adventuring team, which mostly remains in its boundaries, but often sets out to perform various assignments like monster-slaying or dungeon exploration. These teams are much like sports teams or celebrities and often gather in tournaments to see which one is the best.

This is the fabulous, yet distant tale of one such team, in the capital of Ethengarde: The proud city of Glamis.

This group of talented people, youths and veterans both, will work to find their place, earn their pay, help the wave of progress move on, and to drink at the tavern at the end of the day. Will they weather the test of adversity?

Backstory: A Borrower. A small race of miniscule people so named for their tendency to steal small pieces of things from other people, doing as such because of their sizes and inability to farm or cultivate food of any form on their own, with their main predators being common squirrels, whom are known to steal from and destroy their homes frequently. Aria, after becoming an adult, elected to leave her small home and head out into the vast world in the hopes of becoming an adventurer, being fascinated by the stories of large people and their fantastical adventures, making a small name for themself after battling one such creature to the death successfully and preventing its rampage of terror against her and her people.

Despite her diminutive size, she quickly gathered a cult following amongst fans from her admirable will and drive to work towards such an unthinkable goal for one of her race, earning the name thimble from her weapon of choice, a small sewing needle, through her adventures.

As a result of her cult following and popularity amongst children, she managed to gain entry into the adventurer's guild and become something of a cute mascot, showing that just about anyone can overcome their problems and achieve their dreams, no matter what ails them.

Backstory: Once, there was Shriandriath the Debased Maiden, a horrific demon wizards summoned into our world to unleash against their enemies. Even among succubus, she was renowned for her ability to incite lust in the hearts of men. Virtue was her preferred drink and male flesh her preferred food. She consumed the souls of thousands over the millennia and never stopped thirsting for more.

Until the day Aziz summoned her up in a binding circle. Instead of deploying her like a weapon, he trapped her in a ward circle wrought into the very tower she'd been summoned into. He put her to work for a century or so, interrogating, 'torturing' and plying every secret he had any interest in from any prisoner he happened to capture. She was bored more than irritated by her captivity. When King Ozirmok suddenly lay siege to the tower and drove the lich from his lands, Shriandriath was intrigued at the novelty of finally being let loose. She tore several of his soldiers to pieces, killed more of the lich's minions out of indifferent spite and then her eyes fell on Thomas Armitage. Attached to King Ozirmok's army as a medic, the youthful priest passed among the wounded, dispensing the miracles of Ayala, the Maiden of Marble and the Goddess of Healing. When he came upon her, Thomas alone looked at her without lust in his eyes. Instead, he laid a gentle hand on her cheek and prayed for Ayala's healing light to wash away a cut from a soldier's blade.

Something warmer and far more mortal than a goddess' light came into her heart then. Shriandriath the Debased Maiden, thousands of years old, bored and bitter by eons of debauchery, saw something new in this man's innocence. Rather than rip it from him, she simply followed him. Shriandriath spent the next year at his side, listening to his words of simple faith, watching the substance of his beliefs at work as he healed warriors, farmers and children. When he came to look at her with love in his eyes, an answering love lit in hers. And when the first time his lips touched hers, Shriandriath knew the kiss wasn't for the comely form she wore, it was for her.

A year later, they were married. And in the years since, she bore him three children. As time passed, Thomas Armitage at last settled in the newly established city of Ethengarde to open a temple to Ayala, the Maiden of Marble. And his wife Shri Armitage was happy to care for his family and home, giving all she could to the man who gave so much of himself to others.

In the fullness of years, with her children grown and out of the house, Shri Armitage once more felt restless. But rather than return to her old nature, the succubus instead saw opportunity in the Adventurer's League. A chance for some excitement, a chance of danger, and of course the prospect of bringing home coin her husband could put to use in building that second temple to Ayala he wanted to raise. Besides, with at least one of her children considering the same career path in the League, the least she could do was sharpen her own skills...and possibly keep them alive.

Between her white hair, the gleaming curling horns, claws and visibly glowing blue eyes, there's little mistaking Shri for human. Once supernaturally beautiful, several decades among humans have tamed the fires of demonic temptation, reducing her to something more palatable to those she once preyed upon.​

Weapons: In the event Shri deigns to do battle with danger, she removes her habitual gloves to reveal ivory claws capable of rending flesh and mail alike.​
Armor: She wears decorative armor of blue, gold and gray, adorned in Ayala the Maiden of Marble's colors. The demon herself is supernaturally durable and likely sturdier than her armor.​

Shri has thousands of years of experience in persuading and seducing mortals to do anything she wants.​
As a combatant, she's capable of a demonic fury that can sunder a regiment of soldiers or give pause to a giant. While she lacks physical range, Shri is inhumanly strong and has had centuries of practice using her deadly talons against rival demons and prey alike.​
She's well learned in the magical arts, mostly from an informal academic perspective. She's been summoned by so many wizards for so long, she can identify most spells by incantation, sigil or component.​
Shri is a capable cook and skilled in a sundry of domestic tasks including sewing, cleaning, and the raising of children.​

Spells & Magic:
While her demonic energies have waned in her decades away from her natural plane of hell, Shri retains the powers of her kind.​
Kiss: With the touch of her lips, Shri can captivate a victim, steal their lifeforce or put them into a deep enchanted slumber.​
Dreamwalk: When someone is unconscious, she can touch her fingertips to their temples and enter their dreams. This lets her perceive their heart's desire as well as gain a basic understanding of who they are. She can also insert herself into their dreams and leave the victim inflamed upon awakening.​
Sense Lust: The sexual attraction of mortals, towards herself or between each other, is as plain to Shri as someone's hair color.​
Revive: While her lips can steal the life from victims, her breath can restore it. It takes a great deal of energy to do so, however, usually requiring she drain twice as much life as she restores.​
Flight: With an act of will, Shri can manifest white leathery wings and take to the air.​
Weaknesses:
Shri's limitations include:​
Unholy: She can be repelled by holy symbols and the truth faith of mortal men.​
Unnatural: As a denizen of another plane, she can be warded against. She's also subject to being summoned and bound by wizards who know the right incantations.​
Diminished: While she's learned to live without supping on the souls of others, her abstinence has left her weaker than others of her kind. In particular, she's entirely lost the power to conjure and wield fire, to summon up her own demonic minions or to wrack mortal bodies and forge them into lesser demons.​
Family: Shri considers her husband and children a source of strength but they can be powerfully effective levers if used against her.​

    Backstory: In a distant land, there's a clan which holds the blood of the Moon Goddess: Lupa, a pair of fraternal twins were born. The expectations these twins were born with were high. Their uncle was the current leader of the clan, and they were expected to be great at what they did. Luna mastered many skills at an early age, particular ones that had to do with harnessing Lupa's power. Her brother was a different story. For many centuries the clan had been praised for their fine warriors with mastery of unique magic, but her twin could not harness the brilliant white energy she could. Everytime Everyle tried to do what she did with his blood, it exploded in his face, literally.

    Years passed as they performed general training, but Luna began growing by leaps and bounds as her brother stayed behind. She never really heard the whispers said about him in her absence until the gossip eventually reached her ears. Her own twin brother was often regarded as a failure, even after he decided against becoming a Lunar Warrior and instead became a Night Shadow. The worlds they lived in were completely different. Luna's feats continued to garnish praise as she performed on the battlefield while her brother skulked and kept his feats a secret as a Night Shadow's decree required.

    Two years ago, Luna had woken up to find her brother gone. A single note was left for his abandonment of his home, explaining how he couldn't live among the clan anymore. Luna berated herself, she had done everything perfect yet she couldn't be a sister. She had known Everyle's pain for years, yet she did nothing for him. She never gave him council, helped him in training, nor did she stop to think of how little praise he had received in comparison to her. Luna left a few months after his disappearance to search for her brother. Two years, and she finds herself in Ethengarde, far from her home with very few clues pointing around.

Backstory: A performer turned knight. Kaizer started off in a school of cultural arts, grew up there amongst friends as an orphan after being abandoned there, and was taken care of by the staff for the early part of her life. The child grew and showed promising abilities in a number of fields, be it dancing, singing, playing instruments such as the outlandish accordion, harmonica and a plethora of others, each of which she simply seemed to have a knack for and practised continuously, yet none did she practise more than her carving. This was her life for the most of her early years, until growing of age to leave her home and set out into the open world to make a living for herself.

She played her music far and wide, drew paintings of beautiful oceans, soaring skies and blazing deserts, yet as she worked on, she felt a deep satisfaction in her works, crafted clothes made of the finest silk that's quality would've rivalled a cloud's level of detail. They were praised by those around her, and easily paid for her livelihood, yes, but she lacked any form of attachment to them. She tried a number of ways to feel more complete with each painting, trying things such as painting onto her own body, writing novels about her works and even destroying them afterwards, to test if that was it, yet none of these sufficed.

Then the thought struck her, that perhaps the reason she did not believe her arts to be complete, was due to her lack of invigoration. Her arts were crafted in calm environments, always, yet never had she tried performing her critically-acclaimed abilities... in a more dangerous setting.

She began sword-training, and while the sound of swords clashing against swords was something, it wasn't quite the danger she was searching for. Kaizer Harrison, the artist, slowly became a warrior, and found that the pumping of her heart truly gave meaning to her works. Her knowledge of artistry leading to her taking on a slow, yet methodical approach to battle, with heavy and large swings with precision in mind more than brute strength

Carving a new idol after each battle, each of quality equivalent to when she had been at ease, became her pass-time, and while she was on par with the most professional of artists, there was more progression to be had. The adventurer's guild had its doors wide open, and she wasted no time taking the opportunity to enter.

Ineffective against large numbers of mobile opponents. Not entirely experienced in the art of the sword and would easily be bested by someone experienced in different matchups

There is not much known about Fox except that he just showed up one day out of the blue. The city was having a problem with a volatile beast, one with both cunning and strength. Adventurer after adventurer tried to take down the beast to no avail. When Fox showed up and took the contract without a word, many laughed that he was crazy. A man with no armor or weapons had no chance to take down such a creature. They soon changed their tune when fox came back with the jaw of the beast, proof it had been killed. This feat brought the attention of the adventurers guild, and when they offered him a spot he accepted without a single word spoken.

Master Hand to Hand combatant
Durable: Fox can handle more punishment than most people.
Agile: Due to focusing more on martial arts, fox is faster than normal people.
Disarm: Fox knows that when an opportunity presents itself, a disarmed opponent is easier to fight than most.
Arrow catcher: Fox can grab arrows as they are fired at him, though he cannot grab every arrow if there are a lot flying towards him. Fox can even throw the arrows back to the ones that fired them.
Intimidating: While Fox may not be able to speak, his physical appearance is quite intimidating.

Spells & Magic:
Fox gains magical energy the more he fights and depending on his stance, he gains different effects the more powered his stance is with magical energy. There are 3 tiers to each stances, the third being the most powerful.

Brute Stance: This stance shows more focus on strength and durability. First tier of magical energy gives Fox an increase in both his strength and durability. Second tier gives fox another increase to strength and durability. The final tier give a great boost to strength and durability, and he can also expend all the magical energy generated to create a brutal magical strike though doing so will exhaust fox extremely.

Rushed Stance: This stance focuses more on speed and agility. First tier gives an increase in both his speed and agility. Second tier does the same thing. The final tier gives a great increase in speed and agility, this also allows him to make a fast attack that disables a targets mana flow and paralysed them by hitting pressure points, though this will exhaust fox immensely.

Beast Stance: This stance focuses more on Strength and Agility. First tier increases Strength and Agility. Second tier does the same. The final tier grants a great boost to strength and agility, and allows fox to Transform into a magical Tiger and uses his beastial power to take down his opponent. Once he reverts back Fox will be gravely exhausted.

Weaknesses:
Silent: Fox being silent makes it harder to communicate to his allies and when trying to do anything socially.
No defense against ranged: Fox doesn't have many options against ranged attackers, especially magical ones.
No armor: Fox wears no armor and so if he gets hit, there is nothing to lessen the blow.

  • Aliases: The Dark Moon

    Backstory: As far as Everyle can remember, he was born to expectations, but he made a fatal mistake trying to reach such expectations. He tried to do what others were praised for. His own sister, Luna, was very capable. Everyle saw his own twin sister as a model of what he should be, and he respected her. Everyle never felt right using the Moon light element, it never felt like it was his. He trained in private for hours on end during his teens when he finally realized something. His most successful attempt had been during a New Moon, when Moon Light magic was supposedly at its weakest. A new approach was needed. When Everyle had the chance, he tested his theory by attempting to think about the moon that waned, that left the sky leaving an eerie shadow in its wake. Eventually, he had done it. Everyle had cultivated perhaps one of the most elusive elements of his clan, Night Moon magic. Based on the dark that beasts hunted in, the sky the moon ruled over, and most importantly his way to finally do something.

    His hopes weren't up to his expectations though. Everyle had a different duty calling to him once he unlocked his true potential. His magic was easily blotted out by the brightness of the Moon Light magic most others used. They found it laughable, how his magic was so weak it was easily repelled by even the weakest of the clan. Everyle thought he was using it wrong, and so he distanced himself to train more. He decided to finally drop his sister's approach and sought his own. Everyle realized something quickly with his power, it responded to his mind more intimately than other magics. If his mind was ablaze with uncertainty the spell would typically fade. His power was so malleable he focused harder on having a clear mind of what he wanted his powers to do. Unlike Moon light magic, his Dark Moon magic had an effect on the physical he had never considered.

    Everyle was assigned to a different training regime later on, and he had his first steps of independence from the shadow he lived in for so long. When he finally held the title of Night Shadow, a rare title in a time of peace. He went around performing similar feats to his sister, but the feats were a secret. His job was to prevent incidents that would cause panic. Since his feats were to remain a secret, the shadow of his sister grew larger and larger until the oversight and the comments directed at him reached a point that he decided he had enough. Everyle left silently with a note briefly explaining that he would leave to not let his talents rot in the clan. Everyle was just sick of it, the silence, the whispers, the sacrifices he gave for people too ungrateful to consider him worthy of even their silence. His sister had tried to support him, but any time spent with him could ruin her name.

    Everyle left so suddenly he had no idea or care what was going to happen. He only cared about one thing: starting a new life. Everyle had finally learned how to master his powers to be of use, but clearly he could not use them as he wished under the climate of his clan. He traveled for two years following whispers of a newly formed kingdom, perhaps he could do something good there. He could only hope that he could leave his past behind.

Backstory: Born of the Deepwater tribe, Aazaa was the runt if the little, even when compared to the already diminutive kobolds, Aazaa was smaller still. She was never the strongest in the tribe, neither was she the quickest nor the nimblest, Aazaa always had little to offer when it came to her physique. However, unlike her more cowardly brethrens, Aazaa was filled with the spirit of curiosity and the desire to adventure. Though weak, Aazaa has delved deeper into the cavern she called home than any of the other kobolds. Though clumsy, Aazaa climbed the hill on which their dwelling had resided. Though slow, she’d crossed the river that lay beyond her home. Blessed with the ability to cast magic, Aazaa always believed that she was destined for something more than a life lived cowering within the caverns her kind calls home. She didn’t fear the unknown, in fact, she wished to know more about it. And so she embarked on her journey, armed with only a staff she’d found hidden deep within their cavern, searching for the adventure of a lifetime.

Aazaa stands at 2 feet, shorter than even the already short Kobolds. Aazaa has a pair of big, bright yellow eyes, sparkling with curiosity and joy. Her beak like snout is filled with short sharp teeth, though she’s less likely to bite you than she is to talk your ears off. Her long ears droop towards the ground, wide and large ears designed to hear for both trouble and opportunity. Aazaa also has a pair of short goat-like horns on top of her head, though it’s more of an ornament than a weapon of any sort. Aazaa’s clothing is a mish mash of whatever material she could find, usually scraps she’s gathered and bits of clothing that she happens to find, resulting in a weird hodgepodge of fashion that is, quite frankly, impractical and a bit uncomfortable, though it might as well be the most beautiful of robes in Aazaa’s eyes.
Weapons & Armor: Aazaa’s weapon of choice is a staff which serves as a focus for her magic. It was found hidden away within the deepest part of the cavern she lives in, buried under all sorts of trash and rubble. While she wears no armor, Aazaa’s scales provides a bit of protection.
Items & Personal Belongings: She has a bunch of trinkets and scraps, which while treasures to her, holds little value elsewhere. Aazaa also has a bunch of scrolls with her which she found alongside the staff. Aazaa can’t read it and itt doesn’t appear to do anything special.
Skills & Abilities:
Survival - Aazaa is adept at foraging for food in the wild and is also able to discern between poisonous and edible vegetation. She is also quite good at tracking and trapping small critters. Creating shelter is also one of her skills.

Elemental Magic - Aazaa can use two types of elemental magic, acid and lighting. Aazaa can shoot a spray of caustic acid and she can also shoot an sphere of acid which explodes upon impact. She can also fire a bolt of acid, best used for singular targets. As for lightning, Aazaa can shoot a bolt of lightning from her staff, even able to cause it to arc towards other targets. She can also fire a overcharged bolt, exploding upon impact and stunning those in the vicinity.

Weaknesses:
Physically Weak - Aazaa is weak, plain and simple. She’s not strong, quick, or even nimble. She’s also a lot more fragile despite her armored scales, more a glass cannon than anything else.

Adjustable Crossbow
- A Dwarven-made Crossbow that can switch between 2 modes, a rifle-like normal crossbow and a sniper-like Ballista Crossbow. This comes with a sword that changes with the crossbow from a short sword to a long-sword. While it can be detatched and used on its own, it's mostly used as a bayonet
  • Rifle Setting- Fires faster but with weaker enchants
  • Sniper Setting- Each shot takes longer to reload but hits hard from all but the most extreme distances. The enchantments on Sniper Bolts can be devastating. Probably shouldn't be used upclose.

  • Ghost- Flies completely silently and disappears after hitting. In Sniper, the bolt bypasses physical armor. As a Ballista, it also releases toxic gas all over the area. This is the Weakest Arrow, but flies the fastest
  • Brimstone- An arrow that can ignite the target. In Sniper, it explodes and ignites. As a Ballista, it unleashes a devastating explosion laced with sticky Napalm. This arrow flies the slowest, but is the most powerful
  • Ethereal- A simple arrow that illuminates the dark and can hit ANY target. In Sniper, it explodes and blinds everyone, burning their eyes. As a Ballista, it unleashes an eruption of Holy Light as well as blinding everyone close by. The base arrow immediately banishes weaker undead

  • Marksman (R)- Targets a place then takes a fast shot at the target. Almost certain to hit at mid range and closer
  • Semi-Auto (R)- Duplicates the arrow and allows for rapid shots without re-notching for about 10 rounds
  • Overload- Loads the arrow with magic to unleash a powerful effect when released. Takes time to use
  • Stillpiercer- A Wind Enchant on the Normal Arrow made to pierce armor and shields both physical and magic
  • Smoke- While using the Ghost Arrow, she can detonate early to release a thick black toxic smoke
  • Lock On- Targets an enemy with the Ethereal Arrow. The arrow will aggressively chase the target
  • Detonate- She can detonate the Brimstone Arrow in the air. This allows her to hit enemies behind cover.

Weaknesses:
  • Blitzkrieg- Time is her greatest friend when it comes to fights. The long game is her forte. It takes 1 post to fully change settings. Strongest Spells take time to charge. Ballista Takes time to charge. This means her absolute strongest spells, ones that both require Ballista and Overload will unleash on the 3rd post. If she has to change from Rifle, it'll take 4.
  • Concentrated Charging- She MUST concentrate while Overloading. If she stops before Overload is complete, she'll have to start over.
  • No directly Offensive Magic- ALL of her spells are related to shooting
  • Crossbow Dependent- Without a Crossbow, her offensive capabilities are pretty much compromised and her magic is completely useless

Personality: Lilian doesn't give you the impression that she is a Mage. She doesn't appear to be the studious intellectual type required to perform magical spells, and yet she is one. She's a woman who enjoys her vices but also knows when to stop. She isn't above using her magic for pranks or to pick pockets and is fairly morally ambiguous.

Backstory: Lilian is from the noble family of Lesque granting her the title and rank of Duchess. This put her in a position of wealth and power at a young age leaving her not ever wanting for much in her life. Her older brother being her father's heir and being more magically inclined than her older sister left Lilian to fulfill her family's tradition of studying magic. She attended the prestigious Academy of Blackthorne where she decided to focus on the uncommon magical medium of cards over staves and wands (with exception to grimoires).

She casually swept through her time at the Academy and graduate as one of the top fifteen students, though she wondered if that was in part of her title. Not that is mattered much to Lilian, it was what it was and she had come out of the years spent living and studying there actually learning something useful rather than being married off like her older sister; though that was always still a possibility if her family opted to throw her into some marriage alliance.

In addition to officially becoming a recognized Mage she also joined the Laevyn Pact, one of the few formal Mage groups that focused on card casting.

When she returned home after being gone for nearly a decade she found the stiff noble etiquette unbearable. With the King's formation of the Adventurer's Guild and a few sly words she managed to convince her father it would be more beneficial for their family name to have one of them visibly protecting the kingdom. Thus Lilian gained her temporary freedom from the political responsibilities than were part of her birthright.

Backstory: Once, there was Shriandriath the Debased Maiden, a horrific demon wizards summoned into our world to unleash against their enemies. Even among succubus, she was renowned for her ability to incite lust in the hearts of men. Virtue was her preferred drink and male flesh her preferred food. She consumed the souls of thousands over the millennia and never stopped thirsting for more.

Until the day she got married to a nice man and became a housewife. Chris was born into that family as their first child, being the first he was doted on by parents as the rest of his siblings but he also had to deal with their inexperience at parenting. He did not only have to deal with his father being very intrusive because he wanted his son not be influenced by his mother's antics but he also had to deal with his mother being able to literally "smell" his lust and also being questioned for it, in a casual matter of course. Due to this from a young age Chris became very desensitised to the world. This wasn't necessarily a bad thing, as it allowed him to brush off any of his mother's antics and it also allowed him to become very self-dependant from a young age.

Which became a good thing as he'd get a brother and sister as time passed on, getting him a lot more independence. This is where he got his passion, horticulture.

While travelling with his father to a nearby monastery he was left alone when his father was pulled away by clerics, that is where he noticed a man growing a flower using earth magic. That captivated him, as he'd approach the priest to better look at it the elderly man smiled and explained that his magic was a blessing from one of Ayala's children, Agria, who gifted the world with the gift of agriculture. He became engrossed with that, the ability to control life with magic to such an extent was so endearing to him, every time he saw a plant grow he couldn't help but grow a devious smile that was uncharacteristic for him.

Nonetheless his father was happy that his son finally had a interest, his mother being fine with whatever he wanted. At 16 he got a scholarship at
Blackthorne Academy, studying earth magic with a focus on plant magic. He'd soon graduate and get a job there as a researcher. This would continue until recently, where he was laid off due to his more "unethical" and "inhumane" practices. Having his funding cut he decided to join the adventurer guild, just as a way to continue his research.

  • Rosa Necrosis: The seed quickly sprouts out a flower, that upon budding releasing a cloud of dust that calms the creature smelling it and gives it a minor necrosis curse. The necrosis can be healed by minor healing spells.
  • Convolvulaceae: A specie that once injected with magic will spread out it's vines. These vines can be controlled by the magic injector and are more tension resistant than steel wire.
  • Nuytsia Mortis: A parasitic plant that once latched to a living thing will soon begin to slowly drain it's magic and then it's life force, the more movement the host does the quicker it's drained.

Background
Bethany was born the middle child of Shri and Thomas Armitage. Growing up she found herself often dragged to the temple often by her father and generally being pushed towards following the light. It didn't take long for the girl to find a desire to rebel from her parents and seek her own interests. She took to reading a rather young age eventually expanding her horizons into the arcane arts finding a natural talent for it. It didn't take long for her to realize her own natural talent with magic and go in the direction of the arcane forsaking bothering with any supposed 'deity' to get her own power from.

Getting into her teen years Bethany had eventually adapted her own name of Evelyn and sought to make a name for herself. She continued her own studies often experimenting and trying things for herself. Her ability to absorb knowledge and utilize magic so easily along with her own beauty had caused the girl to develop quite an ego about herself as time went on. Unlike most girls her age she found more value in furthering her own studies rather then doing stuff a typical teen might do locking herself up in her room often adorned with dark and 'evil' looking things. Her ego only grew more as time went on finding herself having surpassed many wizard much older then herself only causing her to believe herself to be a prodigy destined to be the greatest wizard to live (along with the most beautiful).

With word of Adventurer's League being formed, Evelyn saw it as the perfect chance for her to escape her 'dull' family (she would never admit she cared about them even if she does) and get to prove to the world how amazing she is and how they should adore her. Unfortunately for her, it seems as if her mother had a similiar idea of joining as Evelyn's desire to escape from her family and make a name for herself on her own has ended up a far more awkward new journey for her.

Evelyn carries around a compact spell book often left attached to a chain rested upon her hip to use as a quick reference for some spells she might not be able to cast on a whim or to act as a small focus for spells that might require one. Magic
Life Force Absorption
As part of her Succubus nature, she has the ability to take the life force from those she makes contact with .She can feast on the energy someone possess using it to nourish herself. She is able to absorb someones energy through their clothing and other material should it be thin enough, though direct skin contact is the most effective. Intimate contact such as something like a kiss among other things can be the most effective way to use such an ability.

Enchantment Magic (Intermediate)
Lilith has the natural ability of using enchantment spells. The magic varies in forms, often used to cause a detriment on foes or a positive effect on allies. The spells often hold some effect that alters the mind of those under its effect, whether it might be directly or in more indirect means (such as putting a foe to sleep). While she has talent in this school of magic, she tends to avoid focusing too heavily into it (in part due to embarrassment) focusing on other schools of magic instead.

Conjuration Magic (Expert)
An Expert at Conjuration Magic. This form of magic can cause various effects from the creation of objects, to fiddling with other dimensions, or even teleportation. It is the newest form of magic she had taken up in an attempt to further expand her repertoire of magic capabilities viewing it as providing a great deal of utility to her kit of magic spells.

Necromancy Magic (Master)
She has put a large focus in necromancy (likely as a way of rebelling against her father in particular) becoming quite proficient in the necromantic arts. She has a great understanding of particularly the branch dealing with life and effects related to such. She has a general understanding of magic related to the undead although much of that magic she tends to avoid utilizing perhaps in some distant form of respect for her father and his general belief, and her own distaste for disturbing the dead unless absolutely necessary.

Evocation Magic (Master)
Perhaps her strongest school of magic to help her get her work down against particularly nasty foes where violence is the only answer. Evocation magic allows her to utilize magic in raw often elemental forms. This type of magic often is used in the form of 'blasting' foes away or creating various effects of an elemental nature.

While not some puny weakling, she isn't some strong powerhouse either. She has little to no training in martial weaponry shunning it away for the sake of the arcane arts. She can manage to do things without magic if she must though she won't at all

Anti-Magic
Effects that counter Magic in general will be her bane, lacking much as far as resources to fight without the use of her Magic to back her up.

Holy/Extraplanar Weakness
While not a full demon, she managed to inherit a bit more of her demonic side causing her to be in part susceptible to strong Holy effects or effects that might target Extraplanar creatures. While lesser forms of the spells might have no effect on her, stronger spells can cause some detrimental effects on her albiet not often to the full extent of a full demon like her mother.

    Backstory: Azhi is the youngest addition to the Armitage family, and probably the last one. His mother an archdemon succubus, his father a saint archbishop, and his siblings a bunch of weirdos, he embraced his heritage on both sides.

    Azhi was always a little different from other children; precocious, for one. He caught onto abstract ideas and could understand people from observation. Due to being a cambion, he also has an impressive reservoir of mana, though he's done little so far in the way of learning magic besides some basic tricks related to his demon ancestry and grasping onto a few divine spells from observing his father and changing it to not draw from a deity's power.

    When mother set out to join the Adventurer's Guild, he convinced her to bring him with her.

Backstory: Raised in a small village in the middle of nowhere, Brom was raised to be a farmer just as his family had been for generations. They were not rich, but they got by fine, and never really had problems with anything aside from if their crops would grow and keeping foxes out of the hen house. When he was 11, he was offered an apprenticeship with the village Blacksmith, and excited to try something new, he accepted. A little over 6 years of working and training, the Blacksmith was killed in a robbery gone wrong. With nobody else to work the forge, he took over for the village, leaving his family's age old lifestyle.
He worked for another 3 years as the Blacksmith, getting very good in the art of the forge. His life was changed forever when a group of raiders attacked his village, killing his family and most everyone he knew and loved. He was one of the few who survived, but with only a dozen or so people left in the village, the people decided to take what they could out of the ruin and scatter. Brom had been taught by his master to use a number of weapons as it was, and after forging his own sword and hammer, he set out with some old chain armor he took off of a dead guard, and headed out into the world.
The next four years he spent training in fighting, training as a woodsman, and improving his art of the forge. He rarely spent time in one place, though he did serve in the army for a time (more for pay and the experience, not because of politics). He now travels around trying to find a calling and a purpose, and maybe to eventually settle down as a Blacksmith-as he has grown to be quite a talented one.

Weapons & Armor: Large two-handed sword, Large two-handed hammer, and a 1 and a half handed sword with shield. He prefers to use the two handed weapons, but he can get by with the sword and shield. His great sword is enchanted, made to break enchantments, enchanted and given to him by a grateful magi during his travels. Other than that, he is magic free.
Items & Personal Belongings: He has hammers and tools for smithing, and carries around some metals that he could repair or make one or two weapons if he has too (with a forge). One of his forging hammers is supposed to be magic, given to him by a Dwarven Blacksmith, but that is rumor that he has never confirmed or denied.
Skills & Abilities: Great blacksmith, strong woodsman
Spells & Magic: He never learned magic, but he wouldn't mind learning a few spells. He doesn't feel like he needs magic though, and would only learn out of curiosity.
Weaknesses: His lack of magic and lack of understanding of it causes him to be under cautious when dealing with magi. He also was brought up in a small village, so he is very blunt and doesn't know much about manors or anything fancy. He has a bit of racism towards elves, as the raiders that attacked his village were elves. He also has a very limited education, and while he isn't stupid and knows how to read and write, he never did much in the sense of studying.


Hobbies: If he has time, he tries to get better at his abilities in the forge. He likes to do work to get his mind off of things, and typically doesn't like to sit around and do nothing.

Or at least that's how old stories go.

The Raven-Masked Magus existed for centuries past, truth shrouded by legends and speculation. Some believe the creature is a timeworn creature of a forgotten war or a mage who achieved functional immortality, like the rest of the Lich race.

To be completely honest, even Faust has forgotten. He stopped caring. To put simply, whatever promise or vow he made in a time long gone, he doesn't give a shit anymore. After a confrontation with an adventurer's party, he managed, by some miracle to join the Guild that had targeted him. He runs a shifty store that sells general items to adventurer parties.

The silver mask that Faust always wears. Stupid rumors say that it contains some unspeakable power, but in reality, it's just a plain mask. Stupid rumors come in handy, however.

The Arcanecylhik
Faust's signature weapon, the magic-enhancing tome known as the Arcanecrylhik. It contains an immense pool of mana and amplifies the potency of magic significantly. Curiously, it is also a giant compendium of magic and arcane knowledge. This is also Faust's phylactery.

The Guillotine Scythe
An ancient relic from a bygone era, the Guillotine scythe is forged of an angelic metal of unknown origin. It measures over 2 meters long, with a scythe-blade lined with cruel thorns that digs into flesh. It possesses the holy property and is an extremely effective weapon against the unholy.

Frying Pan
A simple cooking implement becomes a deadly weapon in the hands of the Elder Lich. It is made of an alloy between Adamantite, Cocytite, and a metal form of Null. It is able to pary magic projectiles, as long as swords.

-Ring of Holding : A ring that can store an infinite amount of items in a pocket-dimension-esque space. Other than a jaw-dropping amount of money, it also holds a myriad of random items that Faust has no reason to be holding.

Spells & Magic:

Arcane Magic
The manipulation of raw magical energy, to perform devastating attacks, create barriers or in rare cases, even mess with reality to a minor extent, like teleportation. Faust has mastered this art, and seems to be able to pull off arcane spells of a calamitous scale.

Cryomancy
The manipulation of specifically ice and frost. While it is not as destructive as other forms of elemental magic, Faust favours this for general usefulness.

-Black Ice: Black ice is a 'state' of ice that in legends is said to occur in the frozen lakes of Cocytus. Faust thought it sounded cool, so he tried to find it. Nobody knows if he actually managed to succeed, but the Black Ice, in this case, has a comparable hardness to steel, unable to melt by conventional means, and looks fucking badass. Again, showing off purposes, mostly.

Necromancy
Generally branded as 'dark magic', Necromancy is the manipulation of death and decay, using 'negative energy' to kill opponents, or to resurrect corpses and utilise them.

-Wall of Death: You thought I was going to leave this thing out? Hell no, when the 12-year old me made this, I liked it, and I still do. Started off as a spell to 1-hit KO an entire 20th level party with no exception, and still is. Original concept was stolen from Dragons and Titans. Summons a moving wall of negative energy that kills anything it comes into contact with. With each creature killed, the wall grows in size and travels further by draining every last drop of mana out of its victims and converting it into more negative energy. Faust needs a couple dozen sacrifices to get the fire started though, or he could sacrifice himself for it. Either option is out of the question. Hang on, why does he even know this?

-Severed limbs will not reattach unless it is within 30 cm of where it's meant to be

Backstory: Not much is known of Markus, and not much has he known of himself. One day, he simply appeared in the ruins of Algrannar, a kingdom of old that fell as a consequence of things that occurred ages ago. As he emerged, he found himself tethered to giant, magical sword - unable to part with it. He roamed the ruins of that kingdom for years, scavenging for food and barely surviving, as he tried to learn more about himself. More specifically, his past. Eventually, he would come to realize that the mysterious sword he brings with him could be the key to answering his questions - but he was without means to uncover the riddles that cover its truth.

He'd leave Algrannar, gaining infamy as this feared creature, earning names and titles that have no use of. Time would pass, as tales of this mysterious beast roaming the lands, would pass from one mouth to another. Eventually, it would lead Markus to where he is now. Perhaps there, he would find a way to get the answers he seek.

Appearance: Markus appears much like a dire wolf, but is about twice the largest size of the said creature.

Weapons & Armor: Ancient Sword - A huge sword, hilt engraved with various runes and patterns. It appears and reappears as Markus wills it. It is said to be unbreakable.

Skills & Abilities:
Languages - Markus can speak in the common tongue, as well as the language of the beasts. Though not completely fluent, he can also understand the language of the elementals.

Animal Instinct - Markus's senses are heightened. He is very proficient in combat with regards to the usage of his natural weapons such as biting and scratching. His tracking and survival skills are considerably of a higher level.

Great Beast - Markus's large frame allows him to deliver more devastating blows to his enemies, as well as take some beating. Despite his size, he is a very agile creature.

Spells & Magic:
Resistant Hide - His hide is embezzled with the essence of magic. He has innate resistance against any harmful magic against him, and most physical attacks towards him tend to have their effectiveness reduced.

Howl of The Ruins - A special howl that emboldens Markus and those which he has bonded with. Their overall capabilities are strengthened for a short while, though the effects of this lasts longer under the moonlight - up to a maximum of four lengthy hours.

Fury of The Beast - His attacks, both while wielding the large blade and with his natural weaponry, bypass the magical resistances of his targets.

Weaknesses:
Mortal - Contrary to the stories, Markus can be slain in combat and other manners. Just because he can age indefinitely does not mean he will live forever.

Regression - Markus is prone to succumb to his beastly instincts, and might cause some problems not only to himself, but to those he travel with as well.

Lesser Magic - He doesn't have a lot to bring in the field of the arcane. While he can combat magic-users fairly well, in a full-blown magic battle, he's not going to be in his favored playing field.

Seeing the "Iron Ogre" on the battlefield usually means a death sentence to anyone on the other side. The most dangerous part about the "Iron Ogre" is that he does not belong to any Lord or King... he was strictly a sellsword, meaning it is almost impossible to predict which side he will fight with. One day a soldier might cheer when the "Iron Ogre" saves their life... Another day that same soldier is smashed into bits by the ogre's infamous warhammer. Faith: He has strong conviction in his faith. Often he can inspire others to believe as well.

Ogre's Strength: If he wanted to, he can punch anything into dust.

Warrior: Although he vows to never touch a weapon again, he is very proficient with types of weapons. He prefers using a warhammer.

Sacred Healing: 7 times per day he can pray to the Gods to heal a target of all ailments as well as remove all injuries. It does not work on himself.

Sacred Blessing: Only once a day, he can imbue a target with a holy blessing. He can let others "borrow" his own strength.

Turn Undead: Severely damages undead enemies. However, if used on a living target... this will heal them for a small amount.

Sacred Duel Rites: He prays for the gods to favor him in trials of combat. Liam will always win in single, hand to hand combat with no magic involved.

Eventually he rejected his family's wishes and pursued a career in Adventuring... working his way up the ranks of the Adventurers League as a veteran hero.

However despite his hard work... his ugly appearance, and the way he liked to finish missions (cleverly and using tricks) didn't earn him many fans in the League. Not to mention the fact that people associate him with his infamous mafioso father. He eventually grew tired of being unloved and grew bitter over the years. No matter how hard he works, people just see him as a villain.

Taunt - He can be so abrasive that enemies are often forced to attack him.

Blood Mafia Connections - As a son of the Blood Mafia's Maestro, he has a lot of social power. He hates relying on his family's power though.

Blood Trick: Swap - When he consumes the blood of a target, he can choose to swap positions with them. It's a teleport basically.
Blood Trick: Null Senses - When he consumes the blood of a target, he can hold his breath... that person can not see, hear or smell Ichabod. When he exhales, he is immediately detected by that person.
Blood Trick: Bat form - Changes into a "bat" when he consumes blood.

    Backstory: When King Ozirmok Glamis was only twenty-two, already a famous adventurer leading the people of what would later be called Ethengarde, he and his wife (only fianceé at the time) found a mysterious baby among cultists in a temple of Tiamat on an adventure. The pair knew what it meant, and they decided to protect the boy and take him, adopting him as their son and naming him Sareth. They treated him very well as if he was their own, though the public knew from the beginning what the reality was.

    At the age of ten, Sareth learned the truth, that he was a son of the Dragon-Goddess Tiamat. Ever since then, especially after the birth of the rest of his parents' children, he felt like he didn't fit in with the family, despite their warm treatment. There were always little tells, but now, more than ever, he felt isolated. Sareth sought refuge in adventuring, emulating Ozirmok in this, and he signed up for the Adventurer's League with his parents' permission, seeking a form of escapism and proof that he is like them. He wants to prove to them, and to the people of Ethengarde that he fits into the family.

Backstory: Illyana was once the queen of an ancient civilisation, spanning a continent made entirely of sand. A monarch that was said to have ascended to god-hood, and as such, was hailed by all near and far, with those few standing before her either staying within the shadows or facing eradication by the worship-powered god-empress herself.

Those that tried to face her, fell to her knees in a matter of weeks as their armies, being vastly outnumbered by hers, succumbed to not even her military might, but the inane feats she performed almost as publicity stunts. Entire countries devoured by waves upon waves of crushing sand, beasts of the desert following her whims, worshippers gladly sacrificing herself in her names, all to empower this singular person in their conquest of the world, all powered by the true Shurima herself, who had placed her seed in this singular person's ancestors countless years before, all devised for what had come this day.

Her glory was set to last until the world itself ended. With nothing and no one to face her, with no fear of insurgency, what could their possibly be left to fear?

Death.

Although many believed her to be immortal already, Illyana, the queen of this glorious kingdom, with no successors as she refused to allow her body to become tainted, feared death, and the clear way of surpassing even this problem, was to truly achieve mortality, lest all the work she had placed into achieving the domination of the world be lost to time.

She set a private team of her closest supporters to work on such a solution, and despite it taking some time, the solution eventually came to one called Annutar, one of her few followers that had remained in her favour since the early days of her development.

He suggest that lichdom be taken, to ensure that her life-span last until the end of time, and to allow her to continue enacting god's will, and needless to say, she agreed.

The procedure took place, the inordinately difficult to obtain ingredients necessary were.. obtained, and the rites were cast, all appeared to be going to plan.

The beautiful woman that had become so central to the world lay to rest within her sarcophagus, the item that was to be her phylactery, and shut her eyes, as was required.

The problem was, once this was done, she... Didn't wake up. The procedure would have killed her, had it not been for the true Shurima's interference. Saved from death, Illyana was placed into an endless sleep, in the hopes that one day she might wake up, but when that was, not even the dark goddess of sand knew.

Annutar disappeared into the crowds, lost amongst the empty faces.

At first, the empire kept running, with only slight confusion at the lack of daily appearances of the god-queen, but as time went on, people grew restless they grew worried as the one so beloved failed to make an appearance until revolts began occurring.

Worshippers stormed the enormous castle, and to their dismay, found what they assumed to be the corpse of their goddess. They mourned and spent time, yet eventually, the decision went for the sarcophagus to be shut, and soon after the enemies of the empire destroyed it from within, with no emperor to stop them, with no leader to guide the armies, the castle fell, and soon after, the kingdom itself burned as other countries, that had once been allies forced through fear, simply over-ran the place and fought over like empty land once more, both Illyana, and Shurima, falling to nothing but whispers on the wind occasionally mentioned by historians in vague conversation.

The tomb, containing Illyana was buried, and her kingdom, as she had feared, faded to nothing as time does what it tends to do, and passed, as the goddess Shurima herself, delved into a sleep alongside her, attempt to preserve her energy in the hopes that the one she had placed so much of her will into, would return to the living and return this god back to the glory-filled life she had been enjoying.

Backstory:
Alexiel was born as the eldest daughter of House Zelerath. As all cliched stories like these go, her parents wished for a son as their heir, rather than a woman, and thus her parents never paid much attention to Alexiel. Furthermore, a year later, her mother became pregnant with a male, making him the heir of their noble house. This made Alexiel completely arbitrary and deadweight more than anything, and left to her own devices.

She was never given much financial support as most of the family's effort was spent on her younger brother, and Alexiel eventually joined a paladin order, wherein she became a prominent member, much more skilled in the holy magic, and excellent skill with the lance. Seeing an opportunity to further their own name, her parents suddenly delivered to her, their family treasure, a holy lance, and sent out to exterminate a powerful undead who was terrorising small villages.

Turns out, it was a lich. I mean, who couldn't see that coming?

The entire party, including Alexiel, got their asses handed to them, and disgraced by the shame of defeat, Alexiel was cast out, and disowned by her family. Sadly, Alexiel had her rebellious teenager phase a but late or something, and all the angst and stuff got to her head. She left the paladin order without notice, and at first tried to sell herself as a blade for hire. She soon found out it was more tiresome than it seemed, having to deal with annoying asses and whatnot on a daily basis, and ended up getting a job at some dodgy store.

And whaddyaknow, apparently, working under an asshole of a lich doesn't do well for a growing child's personality, and all the angst, plus the gloomy, negative-energy saturated atmosphere made all of Alexiel teenage angst and stuff pile up.

We all know what happened after that. One day, while cleaning the mess of a store, Alexiel stumbled across a hudden floorboard, and pulled it open. Under it was Faust's secret stash of uh... 'forbidden scriptures' whereafter she was enlightened to the one true religion.

Uh... yeah... The moral of the story is, don't let your kids grow up near asshole elder liches.

'Imperius Maxim', Judgement of Corruption
It used to be a lance with the holy property and the pride of House Zelerath. She was carrying this when she was kicked out by her parents and just kept it. For some anomalous reason, the lance, somewhere along the line was corrupted with god-knows-what. Originally supposed to be a righteous tool of justice meant to smite all sinners, it just kind of... indiscriminately smites literally everything. It's like a holy smite, except it does double damage to everything, not just evil stuff... And don't even ask where that name came from. Alexiel thought it was cool when she was in her edgy teen phase, ok? The name's engraved into the handle, so it's not like it can be removed. So it's stuck with the edgiest name ever, forever.

Holy Book
One of those super-thicc books paladins carry around for prayers and useless crap of the like. Alexiel just kinda uses it to beat people over the head and give them concussions. As an asshole lich once said: 'anything can be a bludgeoning weapon if you believe hard enough.' To be fair, he also said 'fucking a trap isn't homo if you believe hard enough' too

Half-Plate
It's some standard issue crap. Alexiel almost never wears the armor, opting for more... revealing outfits even in a fight... Apparently, it's uncomfortable and sucks to move around in or something.

Backstory: Seraphine was sent to a magic academy at a young age due to her untapped potential. Ironically, her innate affinity for magic didn't really make go through. Her concoctions and rituals would often go awry, usually causing some damage to the school properties - which eventually forced the academy to kick her out, despite her exemplary advances in the art of the arcane. Without an academy to back her up, Seraphine decided to continue her studies in magic alone, eventually encountering a legendary mage who called themselves as the "Pioneer of Glorious Magi-Science".

And the said legendary mage visited her frequently, watching her growth in the field of magic, albeit it may be not as fast as compared to when she was in a magic academy. Realizing her potential for greatness, the legendary mage took her in under their wing. Under the supervision of this "pioneer", her advances in the field of magic grew exponentially - she learned techniques that no one she knew of would have discovered, uncovered various secrets of magic and the like. Most of her studies under this mage were inclined towards alchemy and the magical art of transmutation, though various fields of high level magic were engraved into her knowledge.

This legendary even mage gave her something that the called as a "Mana Burst Regulator", which helped her control the sudden surge of magical energies that she experienced back then, to a point that they no longer occurred unless she wished them to. However, as her growth in the field of magic continued, her mentor suddenly vanished - only leaving behind a note that they would be going away with an old friend and "save the world".

But what's peculiar is that the said mage never struck her as a "save the world" kind of person.

Left without any sort of guidance as to what she would do, Seraphine decided to leave her master's hidden sanctuary of magical knowledge and experimentation, and left to travel the world, until such time that her master returns and resumes his mentoring over her.


PHYSICAL
Weapons & Armor: None. While the world out there may be dangerous, her skills in the field of magic would prove to be enough tools at her disposal.

Items & Personal Belongings:
Mana Burst Regulator - A small magical item forged by a legendary mage. It allows Seraphine to control her magical outbursts.

Bag of Holding - A small pouch that contains Seraphine's magical necessities - components, spellcasting focuses and the like. She's currently seeking an alternative for this, probably a pocket dimension.

Raven's Arcana VIP Pass - A strange looking metallic card that depicts the symbol of a store called "The Raven's Arcana". There are ineligible scribbles on the back, which upon several time of casting the Identify spell, would reveal that it allows the wielder to obtain freebies and discount from the said shop. There's also a small, tentacle-riddled skull stamp on the edge.

Skills & Abilities:
Magic Prodigy - She has high prowess with regards to any magic-related info and history, and is steadily growing as she continues to pursue her study of magic and sharpen her mind. This includes various magic-related lore such as learning ancient tongue for ancient spells, knowing magical creatures, etc. There may be some things she doesn't know as of the moment, but give her enough time, and that limit would be surpassed before one would even expect it.

Trickster - More cunning than the usual street rat, Seraphine's tricks aren't so easily beat. Trying to outsmart her is a feat that even geniuses would have a hard time to pull off, as one of her former mentors would say.

Magic Affinity - Her inborn affinity for magic has made her develop a knack for learning and mastering magic faster than the common mage, as well as being able to sense the presence of magic quicker than most.

Spells & Magic:
"Glorious Magi-Science!" - The legendary mage's teaching has been engraved into Seraphine's memory, she knows them by every letter. This allows her access to a plethora of spells from different fields of magic, but most importantly, grants her overwhelming expertise on transmutation magic and the field of alchemy. If she would return to the proud magic academies of the world, she could very easily pass off as an archmage.

Mana Burst - By tapping into her ancestral blood, Seraphine can experience a sudden surge of magical power. Her spells become more potent and she would be able to bypass the regular limits of spellcasting. Unfortunately, she can only do such for a short period of time, and would use up a lot of her stamina, even causing her to go unconscious after using such an ability.

Weaknesses:
Mortality - Strange as it may be, the Anzyrieth as just as mortal as a regular human. She can die of injury, sickness, and natural causes.

Magic Reliance - Seraphine's focus on magic has left her physical fighting capabilities rather underwhelming. Without magic, she's more or less just another ordinary girl.

Racial Info:
The Anzyrieth - An old race, originally descending from the first ever formless being, who adapted and morphed its body based on its environment. The Anzyrieth carried on the trait of its ancestors as they adapted and propagated through time, until the only thing that would distinguish them from the ordinary man is their eyes - which are always of a shade of red, though often varying. But that isn't what made them unique, rather it is their ability to tap into the deepest roots of magic, allowing them near unparalleled arcane power, with the downside of it being uncontrollable - often times causing the demise of most of their kin.

How would an Anzyrieth recognize its kin then, one would wonder? The answer is quite simple - they don't. The Anzyrieth can only be identified through a very ancient type of scrying magic, and some other taboo means which would require their blood.

    Backstory: Sir. Mann I. Fuchalot wasn't always a bastion of god and a selfless protector of the faith, no before that he was a young child going by the name of Stan Hillsbury. As someone growing in the american south there wasn't a lot mythology so he attached himself to the stories of legendary knights going on adventures and saving the princess. However the reality of life hit him soon, as he realized that his mother was also his 3rd cousin by separation somehow. The only escape from this reality was going to the shooting range after school.

    As he became a adult he got his dream job, at a local gun company where he would assemble guns and then test them. Then tragedy struck again, as he was assembling a gun he accidentally slipped on a pistol on the ground that was spray painted yellow only to trip into a 3 inch nail with his forehead, damaging his frontal lobe.

    But it also came as a blessing, as when he recovered from the penetration induced coma he was not Stan Hillsbury anymore, no he was Sir. Mann I. Fuchalot. He immediately escaped the intensive care hospital and got knighted by the Mardi Gras queen. However there were people who would oppose him, sticking him in a prison they covered up as a "psyachritic care unit". Luckily under the cover of knightfall he escaped into this world after being hit the magical transporter truck.
