  istakes are always made by those foolishly brought into power.
  
  Now two bodies sit behind the draped darkness of curtains, hushed whispers concealed to candelight and chardonnay. A woman scorned and a benefactor providing have brought like-minded synapses together, pulsing and electrifying as they furl out blueprints and comment on the clicheness of it all. Of course this is a job that will need precision and skill, a level higher than those running with the shadows and grime.
  
  A seasoned team, if you will.
  
  Weeks later will the letters arrive. Ivory parchment pressed shut with the mauve seal of a heron crane, cold and reminiscent. It calls back to older times, to greater heists and a motley crew of those willing to sacrifice anything for the sake of infamy. Once more it beckons the group together under the guise of another lie, another deception. Come, it commands, Your skills are needed.

  Welcome to Ocean's Retirement, a heist roleplay!
  
  This roleplay will be on the shorter end in terms of it having a definitive start and ending with the honest hope that we actually get to see one through to the end and call it good! Taking characters that once were part of a crime-filled and well-oiled team we've put a spin on your typical crime heist and make room for those wanting to play characters entering into the Golden Years. Inspired by a great interest in this roleplay it has predominantly filled a majority of the roles required for the heist to go off properly but not to worry!
  
  Three roles are remaining of those needed to smoothly run this roleplay as well as the potential of creating your own role should you seek to truly wow me. Either way I encourage you to put your best foot forward and join hands with us here in the realm of crime and grudges buried into trees. Please check out the rules for how to apply!

  The Flex

  open

  A contortonist in body and mind, this character has fondly stuck themselves along the lengths of walls and floor as if melding into the architecture. Once a previous performer they became involved upon a haphazard interaction with The Undercover and her shifting ways. Now a vital member they spring to life through the vents and wires of a spy movie, ignoring the humming of 'Mission Impossible' from colleagues.

  The Rookie

  A younger relative of The Leader that stuck their own hand into the crime cookie jar. Now faced with the experience gainer of a lifetime they're tasked with keeping their nose clean among legends of crime and dutifully jotting down notes. Who knows? Maybe they'll learn just enough to show their stuff and run their own heists.

  The Tech

  [ This entry is corrupted. The laughing face of a retro dinosaur pops up on the screen and creates a 'L' shape on its forehead. ]

  The Leader

  Bones creak and break in the cacophony of a forgotten dance and worn vermillion. Corkboard sit abandoned but not forgotten, sad melodies of what once was and what has encorced after bittersweet goodbyes. Some days cannot simply be left behind. Now the retired head of the crime group sits in the shadows before a benefactor and a goal: One Last Time.

  The Supply

  Once standing at the right-hand side of The Leader the team relied on them the way flies buzz around the remnants of food. Glue that holds warring allies together they grew tired of the bickering and turned a back into the shadows. One could call them the catalyst to the downfall, another a coward. Now their own interests have brought them back into the fray and back before those they left behind.

  The Lawbreaker

  With waning abilities they have never quite seemed to realize the discomforts of age. Once a lawabiding protector they turned quickly to crime with the aide of The Sniper and The Bareknuckle. A master forger of both documents and their own moral compass, they stand tall beside those on the team, insistent on entering the front lines of each plan if only under the guise of not wanting others to 'mess it all up'.

  Hello and welcome! To apply to this roleplay you will submit a character concept in a CS thread. This can be expansive as a full character sheet or a blurb and a few headcanons about your character. Friendly reminder that all characters with one exception will be from the age range of 40 - 60.

  rule two.

  I think it goes without saying but no bigotry! Anyone seen including that sort of content or behaving negatively towards other appliers/members will be automatically disqualified from this roleplay. Another note is that this roleplay is 18+ only! Please do not apply if you are underaged!
