Ace Defective
Hi! My name is Uni (he/him). Welcome to my search thread! If you’re looking for a long-term partner who wants to collaborate on the story and world, then you’re in the right place.
ABOUT ME:
- I'm 23.
- LGBTQ+ friendly.
- In my free time, I like to play tabletop roleplaying games (D&D, Pathfinder, LANCER), video games, watch movies, TV shows, some anime here and there, and read.
- I’ve got about 10 or 11 years of roleplaying experience.
- My writing length varies, but on average it’s around 500-700 words. I tend to get into the head of my character a lot, writing out thoughts and inner monologues or memories. Sometimes I do go past 1000 when I'm having a lot of fun with the post, or I've got a lot of things to cover!
- I usually write in 3rd person, past tense. This isn’t a requirement for me, though.
- When it comes to response times, I usually respond once every two days. Writing can take a bit of time for me. I will notify you if I might take longer!
- I don’t like doubling.
- I don’t play canon characters. I’m happy to roleplay in an established universe, though! I will write and add side-characters when needed as well!
- I’m okay with roleplaying through PMs, using GDocs or DC. If your preferred platform isn’t listed, as long as it’s not too difficult to learn how to use, I’m game!
- Romance isn’t a requirement for me. If it is going to be part of the roleplay, the only pairing I have any experience writing in is MxF (playing a male in the pairing), so it’s the one I’m most comfortable with.
- My favorite color is pink. It's lovely.
- If we are going to use images for characters, I’d prefer to use drawn pictures, anime included. I’m also no stranger to descriptions!
EXPECTATIONS (I THINK THAT’S A GOOD WORD FOR THIS SECTION):
- 18+. Non-negotiable. I'd also prefer if my partner was closer to my age as well!
- Someone who can write detailed posts. Length is subjective and up to the writer, but I do want something with substance. One-liners or particularly small posts will get me bored fast as there just won’t be much to work with.
- OOC chatter is important to me. Whether that’s talking about plots, characters, sharing music, or just talking about whatever. I’d like to make friends! So feel free to chat me up if you want.
- Please, be patient! I’m willing to wait days or a couple weeks if I know that something is up on your end, so allow me the same courtesy. Life happens, you never know what will fall on your lap. Again, OOC communication is key!
- I understand if you lose interest, or need to focus on life. No hard feelings! Please, do let me know if things aren't working out and you need to step away from the roleplay. Any reason is better than none.
- Absolutely no AI. Not in text form, nor image form, nor audio form.
- I’d like it if we both were putting our ideas into the roleplay, and not just one person driving the story. Brainstorm together! Let me know what you’d like to see, explore or have happen! Share ideas!
- Dark themes aren’t anything I shy away from, but I do need nuance to them. Traumatic events need to be treated with the respect they deserve. I don’t have any particular hard lines, but let’s discuss things so we’re both on the same page.
- Want to be angsty? Dramatic? Maybe even overdramatic? Hell yes, put it in the roleplay, boss. I’ll follow.
LIST OF GENRES I LIKE:
Apocalypse & dystopian scenarios.
Fantasy! Not particularly interested in medieval fantasy at the moment, sorry!
Horror. Though, I'm a bit rusty when it comes to writing horror.
Modern day. Not necessarily looking for something realistic?
Sci-fi. Spaceships, robots, mechs, cybernetics and all things science-y.
Currently, I've got a big craving for a modern setting with superhero-esque elements. Drama, tension, secret identities, struggling to mix their day-to-day life with their vigilante identity, all of that jazz! Though, I'd like it to be somewhat grounded. I also have a plot brewing in my head that has these elements and is loosely inspired by Invincible and Hotline Miami, let me know if you'd like to hear about it!
FANDOMS:
The list is likely incomplete as these are just the ones that came into my mind when writing it. I'm also open to changing things within these universes for the roleplay, or writing in AUs. So, if there’s something you’d like to suggest, please do! I like a lot of things. I also put the list in alphabetical order for ease of reading through if you're looking for something specific.
Armored Core.
Borderlands.
DC.
Fallout.
Gundam. (UC or non-UC timelines. Could make our own as well!)
Hotline Miami.
Invincible. (Watched the show, but have not read the comics)
Marvel.
Monster Hunter.
My Hero Academia.
Pathfinder.
Persona.
RWBY.
TROPES FOR PAIRINGS I HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH:
Enemies to lovers;
Rivals to lovers;
Childhood friends;
Soulmates.
If you have a plot or setting you’d like to explore, feel free to share! I’m not necessarily bound to either the fandoms or genres I listed!
I think that’s it? If you'd like to reach out, please send a PM instead of replying to the thread! Tell me a little about yourself and what kind of roleplay you're interested in. Also, please make sure to include your favorite song in your PM so I know you read things carefully. You can also ask for my DC handle if you'd rather move things there.
Thank you for taking the time to read the thread! That's nice of you! Have a good day. Or night.
