Not exactly obscure, but I'd love to do some RP based on "Squid Game". I just finished watching the series and now it's very much on my mind. I just know that Battle Royale type RP's are hard to pull off since not everyone is willing to kill their characters off.

Pro wrestling, for sure. As Crenando said, the winner of a match could be predetermined [either by the RPers themselves or by some RP-GM], with the action before the finish being mostly freeform.

It would be fairly complicated, but I think it could be made to work. There's just so much about pro wrestling that would synergize well with roleplaying: promos, gimmicks, rivalries, factions, storytelling, etc. I'm getting excited just thinking about the possibilities, lol.

I just started the Blue Lions route, and after that I think I'll take a break so I don't get burnt out. I had a helluva time with Crimson Flower though!

To be really interesting settings that I rarely see done, although maybe that's just on other corners of the internet.

Much more recently Bridgerton could be interesting.

I'm very interested in an Umbrella Academy RP.

Umbrella Academy, I fricken love the show but there aren't any RP's and I don't even know how one would work although I found a way for a Danganronpa RP to work so I could probably find a way to make an Umbrella Academy RP work.

Maybe I should do an interest check.

The most obscure thing that I could think of is probably an RP based on the series, OA. It’s such an interesting mix of sci-fi and modern supernatural fantasy. I don’t think I’ve ever found a person interested in doing an RP like that.

Honestly, I'd love to do something set in the world of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning if given the chance. It's such an underrated gem, the locations are gorgeous, the quests are solid, and the worldbuilding is interesting. There's potential in it as an RP I think.
