Welcome to Oasis. Ten years ago, this was a bustling mid-sized city, fueled by an interstellar port that the Genesis Corporation ran. Now? Now it’s not. There was an explosion. Some people say it was a declaration of war from Omega, others think that the GenCorp scientists bit off more than they could chew.

I’m still here, though. And you’re here too. And people like us? We gotta stick together. Make sure GenCorp never comes back, that Omega doesn’t ever annex us. They’ll want to, of course. Everyone wants people like us.

If things get really bad… Well, that’s the thing about a bomb. You always make a few extras.

Now stop reading my mind and get back to work.

DEMETER GREEN

Supposedly, Demeter Green was considered the “town nurse” for Oasis, ever since most of the residents died during the Dusting years ago. This was a lie that talented parents told their talented children, as the most nurse-like thing Demeter had ever done for anyone in her life was offer a bottle of moonshine for their “headaches”.

How did she acquire her wares? Well, that was a trade secret. One that likely had very little to do with her ninth husband, who met an unfortunate end during lively night when he drunkenly fell out of a high window during a spirited debate and landed on a wrought iron gate. At least he was kind enough to close the window after his exit. So tragic. Demeter mourned for hours.

“Happy anniversary, Peter.” The blonde downed a shot in honor of number Nine. “I’m sure if you were sober, you would have known I was right. You were my fourth favorite because of that.”

Ideally, if she were a punctual person, she would be over at edge of town right now. She had promised – “promised” – that she would be around to supervise the erection of an electrified, barbed fence that would keep the feral wolfhounds from digging through the mass graves.

But really. Any fool would know that red matched red and black matched black. There was absolutely no way in any of the colonies that a talented would manage to cross the wires and potentially short out the entire substation for that end of Oasis.

Demeter slammed an empty bottle of moonshine on her table, and grabbed her coat.

Oasis Hacker Club -> Star Mart

Once again, like many times before, Mainframe wondered what it would do today other than trying to absently break into the codes and bankaccounts of those who got to close to its base of operations. It was a rather small and quaint building, having been forgotten and considered abandoned after the dusting, just like so many buildings before it, but this one was positioned quite nicely beside the Star Mart, a supermarket that gave Mainframe the perfect place to keep itself fed. Right now it was just surfing the web, feeling quite childish and bored as it read different news articles at lightning speed. All five of its bodies sat perfectly still except for their fingers and eyes as they roamed the digital and holographic computer keys with expertise.

Over the years, Star Mart had tried to buy out the old and abandoned building, but before the franchise could move in with their business plans, it had been bought up by an even higher bidder. Mainframe had gathered the thoughts of money and its worth in the world and while it could see the power it held the economy system, it could not understand why some had such difficulty getting it. Mainframe had never had a problem with money, easily cooking up just enough to buy out its warehouse under a false identity that it cooked up, a Alfred J. Anderson.

Besides the remoteness of the abandoned building, visitors being far and few in between, the closeness it shared with Star Mart, as mentioned before, helped out a lot on food runs. At the thought of food, Mainframe realized a similar reaction was going on through its 5 bodies.

Hunger.

Wordlessly, Amy and Todd shut off their holographic computers, the digitised mainframes shortening down back into the containers held in devices on their wrists that acted as solid holographic projectors. They crept from their positions on the desks, landing on the floor. The others continued to type on their computers, but instead of random news, they easily hacked into the security cameras of Star Mart and surrounding businesses. Todd and Amy stared straight ahead as Mainframe took them to Star Mart, the entity prepared to dive into the characters of the members.

Todd and Amy's respective stony faces began to meld as their fecades were put on. Todd's demeanor turned a bit heavy, his feet staying on the ground a little too long before going for the next step, his overall face looking like he was rather tired of being the one to go out for the food. A smile sprouted onto Amy's face, her eyes lighting up behind her black goggles as she looked ready to take on the world. Nodding to each other, a useless gesture for ones connected as they were, the two split up.

As Mainframe drove the two bodies towards the needed aisles of food, each carrying enough money to buy what Mainframe would need, it kept tabs on all of the cameras, making sure no harm came to it's bodies as they made their way into Star Mart.

Snow "Lummi" Pireance

Snow had ended up in another weird situation again. Trapped under a pile of wood and a limited amount of oxygen to breathe in. Just moments before he was helping out one of the residents with the construction of a chicken coop. After finishing the construction he had sat down against a pile of wood, about to eat his lunch. When all of a sudden he had heard one of the people nearby call out to him, "look out!" He gazed over to the person and gave a friendly grin, wondering what they were going on about. Then proceeded to take a bite of his sandwich and felt a heavy weight smack against his head. He felt himself black out. As he opened his eyes he found himself in a dark place. He scratched his head, well I'm rather in a giant pickle.

He shrugged and with an aloof manner of way he touched the wood. Ice slowly started forming around the wood. Then with a slight flick of his hands the ice flung away carrying the wood with it. He stood up and dusted himself off. He then looked over to the woman, who had warned of the danger behind him, gave a blinding grin and walked away in a dazed state.

Moments later he was offering help to another again. The white hair of his flung around him wildly. His dark red eyes crinkled as he smiled at the little girl. She had asked him to fetch the kite that had been caught on one of the trees. He started to climb the tree, one foot on a branch slowly. This time he might be able to get a job down without getting injured. However going unnoticed, his snowy touch spread throughout the tree, covering it with the white cold ice. He reached the top, not noticing how much his power was affecting the tree. His hand reached out for kite, grabbing it by the tail and as he caught a hold of it he grin down at the little girl. "I got it!" he yelled and began to climb down. However the ice had now fully covered the tree, his foot touched the ice and he slipped. Down he fell, as quick as gravity could push him.

He heard the little girl scream. He gazed around dazed and flung the ice of the tree onto the ground. Then with soft thud landed about an inch deep in snow. He looked over at the girl and gave a thumbs ups. His hands wiped the snow of his back, handed the kite to the girl and walked onwards, tripping a little as he went. The ice still stuck to his back, unnoticed by him.

"Thank you, dear."
Mrs Mickson, a kind old woman had just paid Scarlett to move in a dresser she had just purchased. It was an easy job for Scarlett. All she had to do was spirit shift into a bear or an elephant and it was easy as pie. Scarlett smiled at Mrs Mickson and pocketed the money. "Not a problem, ma'am. You can call me anytime if you want some re-arranging done." Scarlett smiled as she stepped outside, but was stopped.

"Want a cookie, dear?" "No, Mrs Mickson, I had one, remember?" "Ah.. yes. My bad. Good day, dear." "You too, Mrs Mickson."

Doing jobs for Mrs Mickson tended to be a chore for Scarlett, and usually, her work was swift and easy. But not with Mrs Mickson. She wanted to have conversation, drink tea, eat cookies. And yes, while her cookies were good, Scarlett was here to work. Still, she was always trying to be nice to her clients. Money didn't grow on trees. It felt like lately people didn't need heavy stuff lifted. Scarlett constantly considered getting another job at the grocery store or something more consistent, but she hated being tied down by even such a simple thing as a job as a grocery clerk.

Customers liked Scarlett. She was always on time, got the job done quickly, and a lot of the people were nice enough to tip quite largely, her prices were low anyway. In summary, she got to move big stuff around for a small portion of the day, and she was done. Scarlett enjoyed using her talent when she could keep hold of it, too. It was fun to be faster, or stronger, or smarter.

Scarlett counted the money on the walk home. Twenty-five dollars, and another paper bill that looked really old but most certainly wasn't a dollar. Hmph. Well, she'd keep it anyway. Maybe it was worth something. Scarlett guessed the woman had tried to tip her but picked up this bill instead. She held it between her thumb and index finger, holding it up to the light and inspecting it to see if it was real.

Heh. It was.

Alexia 'Lexi' Montgomery

Alexia packed the leftover sweets in a small basket that she had brought a few weeks ago. It's been a while since she had leftovers. Once everything was packed neatly she exited her small shop. She started walking down the same street that she used to go to the Star Mart. She hummed a tune softly to herself and take in her surrounding.

The patisserie that her mother had own was nothing more than an empty and broken building. She had missed the time where she used to help her mum there. But that was only a memory to her, a distance memory. Alexia shook her head then continue walking.

"
Lexi! Lexi!" Sarah, a little girl who Alexia had came to known recently waved at an intersection. Alexia waved back with a smile. "Lexi, the boys kicked the ball too high again. It's on the roof and we can't get it," Sarah explained once Alexia reached her. She pouted then continues, "can you get it for us? Please?"

Alexia chuckled then nodded. She followed Sarah and saw the two boys standing on the grass near a small house, well, what was left of a house anyway. She greeted them then put the basket down on the grass. "
Don't open it till I said so okay?" She ordered them kindly before walking towards the house. The ball was just barely visible to her. It was on the roof, beyond her reach, so that means she'll have to use her talent to get it down.

She let out a small breath then lifted her right hand up, calling a gentle breeze to blow the ball off the roof. She smiled when she saw the ball moved, and eventually it fell from the roof. The bounced a couple of times before stopping still on the ground. The kids cheered happily and gave Alexia a hug. She smiled, "
now who wants some treats?"

The kids all said yes, so Alexia opened the basket and handed them one sweet each. "
I'll see if I can bring you some tomorrow too okay? And try to stay out of trouble you three," she closed her basket then walked away, getting back to her original street.

Jecht sighed in frustration as she sat with her back leaning against a post of the 'electrified' fence. She was supposed to show up and play listener for them in case any hounds showed up, but it would seem that of the four or five others she was informed were going to show up, she was the only one here. Because, you know, out of all the people in the world, clearly she was the most prepared and ready to put coloured wires together. Rolling her white eyes she got to her feet, lifted her walking stick, and was going to start moving back to town, but that was about the time she picked up noise on the edge of her hearing. On the other side of the fence.

Turning an ear towards the errant noise, it didn't take long for Jecht to discern what it was she was hearing. Four legs, two working in a sort of tandem, the other two striking separately. There was a decent amount of weight put into the steps as well for it to be carrying so far. Overall, it sounded like a dog. The very type of dog the fence was supposed to be electrified for.

'Alright, c'mon now Jecht, how hard can putting two wires together be?' she thought to herself.

Making her way over towards the wiring box she began feeling around, trying to locate the wires she needed while also trying to focus on how close the wolfhound was. Fumbling about with her fingers, she finally gave up on tracking the beast and focused on rapping her nails and finger against the wiring kit as she used her powers to locate the two wire ends. The problem was that she'd stopped paying attention to listening for the hound, which made it all the more surprising when it stuck it's head through the fence and latched its teeth into one of the sleeves of her hoodie.

Letting out a startled cry, Jecht did the first thing she could think of and brought the two wire ends up to the hounds head, shocking the beast mercilessly but also overloading the wiring kit, which sparked and sizzled. Seconds later it made a loud bang that set Jecht's ears ringing and also sent the hound scampering off wildly as soon as the electric current stopped. Falling onto her back with a groan, the blind girl couldn't help but raise her hand in triumph with a small grin as she sheered her small victory.

"I chased off the hound!"

Jack

"Hey Jack! We got a double banger with extra moo! Get on it!" shouted the manager of the diner at which Jack worked. Jack slapped two quarter pound patties down on the grill in front of him. He had to make sure they were cooked, but just barely. Somebody wanted a bloody burger. Jack wasn't a hundred percent sure what the patties were made of, but the locals sure loved the slop.

It was a wonder Jack was allowed to where his bandana and cap when he was working, but the manager allowed it. Probably something to do with the fact that Jack worked for next to nothing and did everything he was asked with no complaints.

The sizzling of the burgers brought Jack back to reality, not much use in thinking about hats. Jack pulled the burgers off the grill and plopped them onto the bun he had readied before putting the 'meat' on the grill. Jack completed the order by putting some fried starch on the plate. The fry cook then put the plate in the window and rang the bell twice.

"Record time Jackie!" said the waitress as she grabbed the plate. Jack didn't know why she had said record time, the burger was damn near raw, any burger like it would take the same amount of time.

"Thanks I guess," said Jack in response to the complement. The rest of his shift went much the same. Never more than three orders at once. At the end of his shift Jack took off his apron and hung it up in the back of the kitchen. Jack dawned his favorite orange sweatshirt on the way out. Jack was going to make his way down to where he had heard some sort of new fence was being made. It might be fun, and he had nothing better to do.

When he arrived at the fence Jack saw a girl fend off a dog of some kind with electrical wires. The orange clad giant's jaw nearly hit the floor. He heard the girl shout triumphantly. Jack rushed over to the girl.

"Hey miss, are you allright?"

Connor was at some loading bay or another doing what his talent allowed him to do. He was bending over, and lifting up entire pallets that needed to be moved. Of course, some pallets had less on them then others, even his large amount of strength had limits.

"Connor!" one of his advisors, everyone was an advisor when they had him to do the work, shouted. "You been doing a great job. You've been doing it since you first started. I wouldn't be surprised if teh boss vegan giving you a little extra. A few good words will do it." Ah, Joey. Nice guy, has an affair with the boss, and word is she'll do anything to keep him. A good guy to keep as a friend.

Nodding his head towards his friend before dropping his load at it's final destination. It wasn't graceful, and it made a small mess. But he wasn't paid to keep it neat. That's what the 'advisors' were for, keeping it all neat.

Bobby lowered his goggles from his aviators hat and raised a bandanna over his face he had run into too many bugs in his time as a courier to make that mistake again. He had a light brown backpack that held the package in it and he started off at a light jog... That being said, a light jog for Bobby was still upwards of 30 miles per hour. Thankfully for Bobby his reaction time was just as good as his running, so anytime someone surprised him by turning a corner suddenly, he was already out of there way. Along his run he passed people he knew. The first pair was Jack the Gentle Giant, and Jecht, he jumped behind Jack, "Hi Jack! Hey Jecht!" He kept running, and in a second was out of their view.

Bobby turned a corner abruptly and jumped to the right of Scarlett, "Beep Beep Scarlett!" And he was gone.

He ran down a few more streets and stopped suddenly and stared at Lexi for a moment. Lexi scared Bobby, though Bobby wouldn't tell her that right out. It wasn't that Lexi had even been mean to him, in fact Bobby thought she was one of the nicest people in Oasis, but her ability terrified him. If she changed a wind current around him while he was running, it would hurt him bad. So, Bobby did what he could not to annoy her, "Heya Lexi. Any sweets I can steal from ya?" Bobby walked toward her, lowering his bandanna and raising his goggles, he smiled.

Scarlett Sinhem

Scarlett gently put the strange bill in her pocket. She didn't bother to shift into a cheetah or something of the sort to get home; she enjoyed the walk. It was nice, quiet time to herself. Some people, however, did not care at all. "Beep Beep Scarlett!" Scarlett yelped. She hadn't seen Bobby anywhere and then suddenly he was in her face. As he ran away, Scarlett clenched her teeth together. "Godammit, Bobby! I swear to god!" She called after him, rubbing her temples.

Scarlett turned into the apartment complex and jogged up the stairs to the second floor. She shoved the keys in the door and jiggled them around a bit before getting the door open. The lock was always sticky. She dropped her keys and emptied her pockets on the little table near the door. Then she went to the fridge. Absolutely empty. She sighed. Guess it was time for a trip to the grocery store. She grabbed the 25 dollars and her keys yet again and ran out the door, grumbling.

Star Mart wasn't far away. It would just be a quick and easy trip, get a few bowls of insta-ramen and she was good. Yes, she would much rather buy something else for a change, but TV dinners and frozen pizza were usually all she could afford, and she could survive it. At least she was eating... there was a time in her life where she had to forage for food in trash cans.

She walked into Star Mart, not wasting any time and immediately going towards the frozen isle. She really didn't have patience for this. Scarlett turned down the isle only to find two kids blocking her path with a shopping cart. The isles were narrow and you had to squeeze to get past people with carts. "Um.. sorry.. comin' through." They seemed familiar to Scarlett, but she wouldn't recognize them as 'Mainframe' unless they were all together.

It wasn't hard for Jecht's acute hearing to pick up on the obviously large, and somewhat loud, man that had come running up to her after the incident with the dog. Groaning a bit and rubbing her head ruefully as she sat up, she turned as close to facing him as she could manage and gave a crooked, yet playful smile.

"Well, I just remembered that when you're connected to the conduit, you shouldn't turn it on, as it were. Thanks for asking, and, uh, how bad is my hoodie buggered?" she bantered, not really too worried, since she had probably thirty other's exactly the same because, as a blind person, she was notorious for snagging her clothes on things, "Actually, scratch that, hoodie doesn't matter. That said, I've not heard you around too often, so I don't believe we've met. I'm Ject, local listener, er, human radar device to be technical. Listener makes me sound nicer and less machine like."

Taking a moment to focus on him just a moment, Jecht got a good 'look' at the guy who had come to make sure she was okay. He was fairly impressive size wise, but most people were to her, and he seemed to be wearing a hoodie as well, though it could be any sort of hooded jumper. Other than that he seemed to be the run of the mill guy, and there were no irregularities in his pulse associated with those about to do something stupid. Moving on from that, Ject rolled to her knees before standing up, still a little wired from the shock she'd given herself seconds earlier.

Mainframe kept its 3 pairs of sharp eyes on the computer screens in front of them, watching for any danger that could suddenly present itself to Todd and Amy as the bodies began to make their way to the breads. Mainframe could never say that it liked a certain food, the tastebuds of 5 different people interlocking to become a nuetral pallate that had no real preference to what it had, however, it was quite adamant about the food sizes and servings. Its five bodies was its most important aspect, and putting any of them in danger with bad food was unacceptable. Amy and Todd scrutinized over the different numbers, their eyes behind the colored goggles looking dull as no effort to display emotion was put forward.

Picking up some loaves of bread after analysis courtesy of the rest of Mainframe back at base, Todd and Amy continued down the aisle heading for the meats, Mainframe looking forward to getting some ham and then beating it out of their. Ham sandwiches were good snacks for its bodies, and they had very little obvious taste. To some, that wouldn't be a necassity, but with how Mainframe had 5 different tongues that tastesd things differently and reacted differently, Mainframe couldn't handle the nuiscance. Besides, these snacks were only being used to hold the bodies over until supper at their respective homes was ready.

Mainframe must have been lost in thought for too long, trying to decide who he was going to make the sandwiches with, fore suddenly he heard a crash and he felt an reactive force push on Amy's arms, not seeing the woman in her way. Snapping back, Amy's previously down in thought head snapped up, looking at the woman in front of her. All around, the other bodies of Mainframe had all flinched at the feeling, Mainframe still new to unexpected touching. The woman looked familiar, but Mainframe quickly made sure. As the computer operating bodies made busy with the internet, using the picture that had cropped off of the security camera, Mainframe looked around with Todd, surprised to find himself in the frozen section. It had certainly made a wrong turn.

Amy looked up at the woman, her black goggles and lens staring holes into the woman's head as Mainframe broke the final wall into the woman's school records, some of her only official documents. The entire process had taken under half a minute. Amy spoke up with a smile and singsong undertone, "I'm sorry, Scarlett Sinhem, age 19, only child of missing parents, assumed dead from the dusting." Not making any move to get out of her way, Todd spoke up suddenly with his face of tired apathy, "How are you today?" Mainframe was happy with the improv, not having the time to get into the individual bodies' personas.

Jack

Jack smiled under has bandana as the girl spoke. He was glad she was okay. Jack looked Jecht up and down, made a hundred percent sure that she was intact. The huge man let out a sigh of relief. Jack listened to Jecht carefully as she spoke, she was concerned about her hoodie, a sentiment he shared as the only article of clothing he wore regularly was his orange hoodie.

"Nice to meet you Jecht," said Jack, "Folks call me Jack, sometimes with 'the Giant' on the end of it. My job in this town doesn't sound near as important as yours. I make food for the fine people of Oasis, some call it 'fry cook'." Jack kept a friendly tone in his voice. Jack looked at the girl, her eyes were milky white, much like his own. Though, Jack suspected the girl didn't have immense strength, and that the color of her eyes pertained to some other talent.

Then it hit Jack like a truck, "Say, don't mean to be rude or nothing, but are you blind?" Jack meant his grammatically incorrect words. He didn't mean to be rude, but he was genuinely curious, Jack had never met an honest-to-goodness blind person.

All she wanted was some ramen. But these kids went and crashed right into her with the cart! Scarlett stumbled back, trying to regain her balance before she fell. She managed to save herself, grabbing onto a freezer shelf. "What the-" Scarlett started, ears leaking steam, but the skinnier kid cut her off with her strange robotic yet singsong-y voice. "I'm sorry, Scarlett Sinhem, age 19, only child of missing parents, assumed dead from the dusting." Scarlett clenched her teeth together. She knew who these kids were now. It was that group, Mainframe, the ones always with their noses in their computers. "How are you today?"

"Oh! I'm doing fine and dandy today, thanks for asking. I just love being crashed into with a shopping cart!"
She yelped. "And don't go sprouting info like that about me. Or we'll have a big problem." She hissed. They were pushing buttons of hers that they shouldn't be. Scarlett hated it when people stepped on her toes; both literally and figuratively. These kids had done both. Scarlett rubbed her temples. She still could not get past them. Damned tiny isles.

DEMETER GREEN

By the time Demeter finally showed up at the fence site, she could already smell singed flesh. Wonderful. She just hoped it was lupine in nature, and not human. Coming around the corner though, she could see two whole people who were in fact, alive.

“Fantastic, wonderful, you made it!” The blonde woman sauntered in without shame, as though she wasn’t late and hadn’t been supervising and probably could have saved Jecht from having her face eaten off (as happened to Demeter’s eleventh husband).

“Now, is that fence wired up yet? Or are we going to be running shotgun patrol tonight? Actually, no, let’s just run the patrol tonight.” She eyed Jack with a somewhat hungry look.

“There’s a number of strapping young talented men here willing to protect their town, I’m sure… Bravely sacrificing themselves to be on the front line and all that.”

It took a bit of willpower not to reach out and touch a bicep.

@Veirrianna Valentine @DiamondJack

"That's fantastic. Question though. Why was the only person who should not have been trying to connect coloured wires together, the only person here? Seems a little backwards, just saying. But yea, shotgun patrol, and there might be some spare parts to replace what got fried back in my tower. Newcomer recently misunderstood how are radar worked and brought me some spare electrical components." Jecht spoke, doing her best to face Jack, "And yes, a bat can see better than I can. Don't worry about the rude part there are worse things to be asked than if I'm blind."

Running her hands across her clothes in an attempt to smooth them out and hopefully clear any dust from them Jecht let a smile grace her lips as she then turned roughly towards Demeter and gave a slight bow. She knew the woman was important, but she had never actually met her. That said, her voice sounded like something you'd hear in an old film, and didn't have any of the sharpness most people spoke with. The attitude, however, was something she'd picked up on.

"Anyway, I don't know what I'd be listening for, but if either, or both, of you came with me, or came over tomorrow we could attempt to find the parts to fix this up."

Connor was just finishing up his last load before his job was done. Dropping the last bag onto the ground, he turns around and looks for his super visor. Seeing him, he taps his wrist where a watch may be, and nod towards the clock. And the super visor gave him a firm nod, a frown of 'damn it we lost our best worker' and a thumbs up. Waving goodbye to everyone, he leaves the warehouse.

Now what was he supposed to do now? He heard there was a new electric fence starting up that day. It was kind of an important thing with this town. But he really didn't want to go to the outskirts of town just to watch flies get fried. Was he running low on supplies? Did he need to get food and what not from the store? He was pretty sure he didn't have to, so crossed that off the list. Perhaps he should just wander about, so wander he did.

Mainframe realized from the state of anger the girl, Scarlet, that maybe its approach to the situation did not comb over well with her own feelings towards what had happened. Darn, and it thought it had come so far with social interaction. Both Amy and Todd watched her silently as she got angry at them, Mainframe having it's other bodies searching the web for what to do in this kind of situation. Hm, top results of "How to calm down an angry person"...Ok, this might be able to work. Mainframe thought of what it was going to say, before having Amy and Todd group together shoulder to shoulder and look straight into the woman's eyes, unblinking as they tried to reason with her. The top result had said to "Let the person vent, without offering rational arguments" so that is what Mainframe was going to do. It had also mentioned keeping eye contact as to not appear disinterested with her problems.

Mainframe hadn't realized that during its pondering, all of its bodies had hummed, a natural human reaction to thinking, and while back at the Oasis Hacker Club hideout there was no reason to worry, the noises not really bothering any one that wasn't Mainframe, Todd and Amy also hummed as they continued to stare in the enraged woman's eyes. Thinking that was enough, her venting had coming to a stop, Mainframe tested the waters and asked through Amy, "Are you calm now? Are you more susceptive to suggestions on working out your anger?" Light physical activity like taking a walk had been cited as one of the best ways to relieve emotions such as anger or fear.

Neither Todd nor Amy had stopped looking into Scarlett's eyes, having forgotten their need to get food inlue of understanding this woman's anger. One of the suggestions was using perspective, but for the life of a multi-body entity, it couldn't really understand this entire thing from her point of view...hm. The humming of all Mainframe's bodies restarted as it considered the need for food being the reason behind all of this. As Amy and Todd were used to 'calm' down Scarlett, Mainframe had one body keep a lookout in the cameras, while the others restarted their earlier project of breaking into a local bank accounts funds using digital deviousness. Money didn't grow on trees, but it was still easily acquired.

Snow "Lummi" Pireance

He gave yet another stumble tripping over his own snow trail and tumbling into another person. He looked up his expression a whole shade of neutral; then gave a goofy grin when he saw who it was, Connor. Slightly waving his hands at him he asked him a question, "Ain't suppo' ta be workin?" He attempted to stand up, however as his hands at made contact with the ground for a long period time it had formed ice all around the ground making it rather slippering and slip did he slip, straight back onto Connor. His face meat coming in contact with his. He gave a slight groan of pain, before looking up at the boy apologetically.

Then with more care, he stood up again, offering a hand to him.

Jack

Jack was happy that Jecht was not offended. Then a woman Jack recognized as the town 'nurse' arrived. He was unaware of her name, or he was and had forgotten because he was bad with names. Jack eyed her wearily. She was definitely older than she looked, Jack didn't know how much older, or why he thought that. She made the orange clad giant very uncomfortable. The woman was giving off an "I'd tap that" vibe, and Jack certainly wasn't looking for any at that particular moment.

"Patrol sounds okay I guess," said Jack, "I don't suppose you want me on that patrol? I mean, I'd be willin' to help and everything, but..." Jack took into consideration his next words. He really wanted to say no, because he had an early shift in the morning... He decided to let his words hang in the air. He had another thing to be addressed.

"I'd also be more than willing to come assist you with anything Miss Jecht," Jack said with a hidden smile. It was kind of odd to Jack that the lady had just walked up to him without assuming him to be some sort of shady character due to the bandana. Eh, people in Oasis were crazy anyway.

"Done what I was supposed to." he said simply, a grin of his own responding to Snow's. And instead of grabbing the boy's hand and shaking it, he puts a steadying hand on one shoulder. "Been slipping around?" he continued, a mischevious grin on his face. "I'd have thought you'd be used to all of this and not be tripping over your own feet by now." Hm, it seemed Connor was unusually talkative at the moment. The most he usually would do is grunt here or shake/nod his head there. But you might not want to mention that to him.

Christian sat morbidly at a crooked table in the corner, he hadn't been living in the best state for a while now, mostly wasting his talents by wallowing in his own misery, perfectly content with drinking himself to death. The alcohol was bitter, and the bar was anything but cozy. Not that he had much else to do. His days of being a pain in Omega's shiny behind were over, and he had little want for money. Working seemed like a pointless chore, and at least drinking was mildly enjoyable. If just to escape from reality for at least a day or two.

"Yunno, if you keep drinking like this you probably won't be waking up." Sairi joked, approaching the suspect. It had been a stressful day, and more than anything she just wanted to go to sleep forever, but it was almost over.

Homes were being broken into, and the man considered most likely to both be willing to do so and possess the skills needed to complete the task was right in front of her. It hadn't taken long, finding him. People had heard of him, or knew his past, and for some quick cash they often 'remembered' more about him. Citizens could be so nice, sometimes.

Part of her wanted to arrest him on the spot, but Sairi was an optimist. Maybe he wasn't the culprit, maybe he was just a guy being caught up by his past. She could certainly understand that.

Christian didn't face the voice that was likely aimed at him, though he did give it a reply. "Maybe I don't want to wake up, maybe that's my intention." He mumbled, not entirely interested in making casual conversation.

Though figuring it wouldn't hurt to see if he was about to be murdered, he did spare a glance at the woman. She didn't look like an Omega assassin, not that it helped. After all assassins are meant to not look like assassins. Considering she was talking to him at all meant she wanted something, unlike the other rabble in the bar, she looked nothing like a drunkard looking for share their story.

Taking another swig of his beverage he stared straight ahead, unfazed by whatever her motives may be. "So, you here to kill me, or arrest me?"
