ColdEmergency

Best Goose
-Intro-
As several small pods re-pocketed themselves along the side of the ship, the oblong vessel readied itself for departure. Receiving the signal, A.C.E. began the correct sequence for safe space travel. The engines thrummed healthily, lights along the hindsight of the ship began to indicate takeoff.

The sound of the intercom broadcasted loudly, counting down with A.C.E.’s robotic vocals. After finally reaching the end, the ship jumped, leaving behind no signs of their visit.

-On Board-

The lights all turned on in sync, revealing chairs fill with creatures of all shapes and sizes. They all had been placed in a comfortable stasis the moment they were picked by the crews, now that the time had come they would awaken and be informed about the next steps.

Upon awaking they would see that they were in front of a large screen. The room had large metal walls that held no windows, nor any readable signage. The flooring had a similar shade of grey but also sported thick white lines that led to what looked like a large hydraulic door.

In the room, there were three fully suited crew members. All standing above 7’11’’ shrouded in black armor that resembled a bug-like exoskeleton. Their faces were covered by visors that reflected the lights around them. They each held a long cylindrical staff-like item and stood ready to go, attentive, but unmoving.

If looking close enough one would notice that they had long legs that bent similar to goats and other Unguligrades.

The chairs in the room all gave off an eerie green glow, and the energy built up, sending a small shockwave through the bodies of the unconscious test subjects. One by one, eyes flew open.

Before anything could arise, the big screen flickered, and dark green text began to flutter across the screen, accompanied by A.C.E’s robotic voice.

There were chips placed into each subject, allowing them to overcome language as a barrier. Integrating the Triqreons alien language directly to the brain (or the equivalent to the brain).

Welcome to the O.C.I.S.S

You have been picked out of the many of your kind in order to further the understanding of creatures from across all planets and stars alike.

Your Placement Organization Destination, or more commonly referred to as P.O.D, represents the group for which you will reside alongside during this Study. Every entity has been assigned an identification sequence, this can be found on the forward-facing limbs. The placement has been chosen for maximum efficiency.

Any attempt to remove identification will result in severe consequences.

Your identification sequence will be how you are referred to during trials and studies.

You will shortly be escorted by a Door Keeper to your living quarters.

Have a nice stay at the Oacrus Centre of Intergalactic Species Studies.

Presented by A.C.E. (Artificial Central Element)

The screen promptly shut off, and the hydraulic entrance to the presentation room opened, revealing the aforementioned Door Keeper. This alien was different from the rest, as they were not suited up, and instead donned a plain black top, and matching bottoms.

“Greetings, I am Lidet.” The tall being bowed slightly. The Triqreons as an alien race had dark grey skin, complemented by almost silver horns which followed along with the tops of their heads and curved slightly at the end. They had two sets of eyes, one below the other, and a mouth that opened from jaw to jaw. Inside were rows of teeth, much like a shark.

They were more bottom-heavy, with larger thighs and legs, but that didn’t mean they weren’t strong in the upper body department.

“I’m sure you all have many questions,” She explained, looking around at everyone. “They will be answered in due time. For now, I will take you to your living quarters where you have been assigned a room.” With that, Lidet turned on her spot and began walking down the spacious hall, following along one of the long white lines.

The guards standing in the room ushered the crowd out, holding their staffs as a barricade, literally herding them until they were all in the hallway. Lidet was only a few feet ahead of them, walking at a steady pace with her hands clasped behind her back. Behind the newest additions to the ship, the guards flanked them, not allowing access to the other halls. The only way to go was forward.

“Feel free to enjoy the view.” The Door Keeper announced as she continued on. The hall was long and the entire left wall clear glass, showcasing a dark and vast space. No planets to be seen.

Isolated, it seemed, from everything but the prison they may now have to call home.

(*Your actions have consequences and will be remembered. Whether you choose to browse the window, introduce yourself, keep quiet, or approach one of the Triqeons, this moment can really make or break how your stay here will be. Have fun and make sure you post in the Character Sheet thread first.)
