It seems NVIDIA is looking to really make a strong statement in the GPU market with the latest line of cards. The claim is that what used to cost $1000-1200 in the RTX 2080 Ti can now be had in the new RTX 3070 for a much more approachable $499.

Who's looking to upgrade? And which model will you be looking to buy?

RTX 3070 all the way, gonna be upgrading my RTX 2060 for high refresh 1440p.

I suspect the availability on launch will not be great. Hopefully NVIDIA has anticipated that and stocked up, but that's never happened with high profile releases like this - the question is usually just how long it will be until supply catches up.

Especially with the performance gains, they are going to sell like hotcakes.

Oh yeah, I suspect that they will indeed sell like hot cakes. If amd was trying to compete with the 2080 ti, for a similar price of the 3070-3080, then I don’t think the value will be there.
