Absolutely ghastly, but beautifully haunting are the Osbourne's of Noxium. Not much is known about this ghoulish family that resides in the deep hallows of Noxium, preferably by the graveyard where folks say they can see the apparitions of the lost and loves ones who've passed. Despite their preference to stay out of of the front line of Noxium affairs and publicity, their reputation among the masses is not something that can be easily ignored, for to do so would possibly place you into an early grave. The Osbourne's financial and prestigious status rivals that of the Montarac's, with their coffers vast and spreading farther than the eyes can see. They are fairly neutral with the other three prestigious clans of Noxium, but have most ties to the Montarac's with a history of blood ties that only certain people in these families are aware of the truth.

Powerful, all knowing, highly favored. There is much said about the archetype of the 'witch' but little is truly known by those who are not among the chosen delegation. To be a witch is to be an extension of the very life arounds, it's energies flow through you, favor you and it is up to you manipulate these energies at your own will. The Woodbanes are the eldest coven of witches known to man. Though they choose to keep their identities restricted outside of Noxium, fanatic's of this coven have managed to gain slight knowledge of their existence, writing uncreditable sources live journals and articles on this ancient coven of witches. Despite being a frighteningly powerful coven, even so that the other three families are highly aware of the threat they pose, they are still comprised mostly of human's, though their life span is much longer than the common mortal, the stronger the witch, the longer their longevity is. Most witches in the Woodbane clan are not directly related, and choose to live solitary lives outside of the main house where the elder witches, baby witches and Supreme reside located in the center of Noxium. Fair warning: they are not to be underestimated.

    Personality
    What’s most interesting about J is that his personality is difficult to pin. There’s no deciphering this weary soul; there have been attempts, granted pitiful ones, and he commends those individuals for their efforts. There is this air about him, like he has not a care in the world, like nothing can touch him. He lives as if he is in complete control of his life, unbothered by change, unmoved by the words of those who pray for his demise.

    J loves knowledge and those who seek it, he believes that one does not stop learning until they die, and he intends to live forever. One of his personal ticks is a know-it-all, this is due to the fact that as long as he has been breathing, there are no omnipotent beings that he has encountered therefor no one on this godforsaken planet should believe that they have learned all they need to and know all they need to.

    Equal parts charming and condescending there is something alluring about him, many can’t seem to put their finger on it, some speculate he uses magic to manipulate others’ impression of him. But he’s a strong believer in the prevalent phrase ‘innocent until proven guilty’ (and he hasn’t been caught yet).

    It’s hard to tell if he’s being serious or sarcastic, but what is apparent is his devotion to his coven and it’s members.
    Abilities

    The user's magical abilities revolve around manipulating the living, life, the life force, and life forms. Users can create new forms of life, grant life to the lifeless, animate things, and manipulate the life force of the universe and those connected to it.

    Many practitioners find a way to make peace with idea that death is everywhere, and that life and death are both inevitable forces and can't exist without the other. Practitioners also have the potential to create or find new ways to bring new life into existence, through animation, evolution, or any way possible.

    The kiss of death, a spell that curses an individual's life force with a kiss, is his preferred method of ending a life.



    The user can bring forth any form of creatures, items, spirits, demons, deities or elements by either summoning, creating or manifesting them in any particular way to do the bidding of the conjurer.

    In traditions and most contemporary usages, it refers to a magical act of invoking their conjuration subject by using incantations or charms to cast magical spells to bring the creation forth.

      It would be impossible to talk about Kaya without acknowledging her eyes. Red in appearance with darkened rings and black irises, they act as both a target and a weapon, piercing even the most stalwart hearts. Whether it's boredom, thrill, or bloodlust, they seem to be perpetually open and looking for something to cure her ennui. She considers the rest of her body as fairly unimpressive, not only because of her plain face but also due to her lithe frame. Standing at only five feet and five inches tall (one hundred and sixty-five centimeters if you prefer) with no curves to speak of, Kaya is often mistaken for a young adult, something that she takes advantage of to stay out of trouble.

      As far as fashion goes, she tends to dress on the more conservative side while accessorizing with piercings and jewelry.

      Kaya is a dispassionate woman, showing little regard for Noxium or her family and instead focusing on the world of film and television. Utterly enamored with the imagination of normal humans, she consumes media in the same manner that a vampire feasts on a virgin or a ghoul on a fresh corpse. Because of this many regard her as eccentric if not unapproachable.

      In reality, the issue is not her, but them. People in the real world are far less interesting than they think they are and generally don't leave an impression beyond how good of a meal or actor they might be. On the off chance that she does grace someone with her presence, it should be taken as a compliment...but also a cause of concern.

      Whether by choice or subconscious preference Kaya only seems to pursue the unhinged and erratic, someone who doesn't so much walk off as steamroll the beaten path. But make no mistake, one can't act their way into her heart. She's perceptive enough to see through someone's antics and the only thing worse than a bore is a fraud.

    Eleanor is a woman of few words, and even fewer cares given about those who are not apart of her coven. Though she may be willing to heal all those need her, the act does not come without grumbling. Due to her upbringing, she is not trusting of those outside of her faction, and so she rarely communicates with any strangers. Actually, as she prefers to bury herself in her work, she doesn't talk to those in her coven all that often either - causing her to be rather shy and awkward around others. Internally, she is panicking but externally, she may come off as cold and distant as her face does not convey expressive emotions. Eleanor - is a plant lady - to put simply. Nature is full of life which allows her to transfer the plants life energy into those she is help healing. Ilyas is an individual who holds an endless curiosity about the world around him. He is constantly seeking knowledge and discovering new things, driven by an insatiable appetite for understanding. He is never afraid to ask questions and seek out the truth, no matter how difficult or challenging it is. His curiosity often leads him into danger, but he has a remarkable ability to find ways through difficulties that other men might miss, especially when danger threatens his loved ones. In this way, Ilyas can be very protective of those close to him, as well as being a great benefactor in times of need.

Ilyas possesses a peculiar power that allows him to assume the form of any person they have ever fed upon. Whether living or dead, Ilyas can take on their appearance, becoming a seamless replica of the individual in question. With a single thought, the ghoul can transform, their flesh and bone melting away to become a perfect copy of the person they have devoured. An eerie mist swirls around them as they are enveloped in inscrutable energy, their essence shifting and contorting itself to become the chosen individual. As the transformation is complete, Ilyas stands transformed—outwardly indistinguishable from their target. It is only for a few hours, however, that the ghoul is able to maintain such a state —the power fading away as quickly as it had appeared.

Against his family’s wishes, Ilyas studied hard and eventually was accepted into the police academy. He graduated at the top of his class and was quickly promoted to detective. Ilyas’s work was impressive and he quickly gained a reputation for being one of the best detectives in the city. He worked hard to solve cases, often going above and beyond the call of duty to bring justice to those in need. Despite his family's disapproval, Ilyas continued to push forward, and soon he was known throughout Noxium as a shrewd and formidable investigator.

Ilyas is a man of many talents. He is an avid detective and a passionate artist, but his family has always wanted him to pursue a more traditional path. Despite his reluctance to do so, Ilyas eventually agreed to accept the betrothal that his family had arranged for him. He had some trepidation about this decision but was comforted by the fact that his family had allowed him to pursue his detective career without too much violent pushback. It is a way to repent, in a way, for his rebellion.

Ilyas' life was forever changed when he was out on a case one night, investigating the murder of a child. Little did he know that he would soon be facing off against a mysterious werewolf and that his life would never be the same again. It started off like any other night, with Ilyas searching the shadows for clues to the latest supernatural mystery. But this time, his search was cut short as he encountered an unknown werewolf. The beast attacked him with feral ferocity, leaving Ilyas with a deep and disfiguring facial scar that he would carry for the rest of his days.

Delori is a young person of short and thin stature. They generally wear their jet black hair in a long braid with thin strands framing their face. They have pale skin with few to no blemishes and a scarce amount of freckles. They have long lashes and doe brown eyes. Their ears are peirced many times over and flashy, colorful jewelry hangs from them at all times. A thin, golden necklace with a small pendant can be seen wrapped around their long neck. Their nails are usually painted black, kept fairly long and pointed. Delori, despite coming off innocent and sweet, can usually be seen wearing almost all black. They are often seen in grungy clothing: leather harnesses and chokers, thigh highs and shorts, platforms, mesh, corsets, and lots of straps. Makeup is a must and usually will be dark and gothic.
Personality
At first he seems innocent. He seems kind almost if not a bit ditzy. He flirts and is sweet. But the more you get to know him. The more he lets you in. The more you can see that he's simply a person who loves mind games. Who can't help but put on a show. It's all he knows. He's in some ways, two faced. In the kind of way that if you're on his good side, you'll be treated well, but if you're on his bad side, he's untrustworthy and will lie to get what he wants from you. He's incredibly protective and will do what he can for close friends and his coven, but will have no remorse for those that are in his path or those who are harming the people close to him. He's very decisive and likely to make quick decisions but will definitely admit when he was wrong. Though it'll be like pulling teeth. He's flirty and playful but most of that is a show and he doesn't actually know what to do when his feelings turn real. He's very vain and always wants to be put together and dressed his best. He'll become whiney and distressed when he's feeling filthy or unbecoming.

He has an affinity for mind manipulation, he can sometimes create elaborate illusions and terrifying reality-like dreams given enough time and preparation. Every once in a while he'll bless you with a pleasant dream if he likes you. Small manipulations of the mind don't require much magic or spells, larger scale deceits require lots of time and rituals performed perfectly. With how young he is, most of his magic is trial and error and to this day has only successfully pulled of small time dreams or nightmares intended to scare rather than trap

Personality: Emile is a softspoken and thoughtful young man, though he does give into the occasional fit of madness or rage that can range from violent outbursts manic multi-day study sessions. His main goal is to understand everything about everything and insists upon badgering everyone with (often useless) questions whenever he has the chance to. He is a fan of romance novels, however, and dreams of one day falling in love, though he has yet to find anyone who meets his standards. Within the coven, Emile treats everyone with the utmost respect. He may not like all of his coven mates but he does his best to maintain a pleasant repertoire. When it comes to those outside the coven, he tends to think of everyone as a bit underneath him and isn’t shy about showing it. Although he would consider the way he carries himself to be sophisticated and aloof, most people would agree that he is a bit of a prick and lacks many common social graces. Although he may prove a bit difficult to get along with due to his prickly personality, he is always honest with his opinions and a strong ally. If ever you need to share a secret, Emile will keep it, and if ever you need help in a quest of knowledge, he is a likely companion.

Unique ability(s): Emile has an affinity for fire and can manipulate flame and heat easier than anything else. However, his main ability is his book-keeping system. Emile is a coven member for the Woodbane coven and has taken over as book-keeper for the coven, categorizing and taking care of any and all physical documentation for the coven, much like a glorified private librarian. In taking care of the documents, he has developed a magical system to keep them not only secure, but also categorized. He has a magical index tattooed against his left wrist that only he can access the titles of. It flips through items much like a rolodex against his skin. With this index, he can summon any of the documents anyone wishes to have and can magically indicate who has that document for collection on a later date. New documents can be added to the index by, simply, writing on the tattoo and they are filled automatically. The documents are stored within a sealed room within the coven’s main house. Although the room could be breached with severe force and probable loss of life due to the incredible amount of wardings around the room, the simplest way to access these books and documents is by asking the book-keeper. The index is transferred from book-keeper to book-keeper, upon death, through an apprenticeship. The library contains anything from ancient magical texts to birth documents. Emile spends a ridiculous amount of time pouring through documents.

Miscellaneous: Emile was not born to the Woodbane coven but was admitted due to his raw magical prowess. The last book-keeper died of mysterious circumstances.
Little else is known about Emile’s past.

He views Delori as a younger brother and would likely kill to protect him.

Delori got Emile a duck named Philip. This duck has become Emile's familiar.

Emile and Eleanor also have a deep relationship and he will protect her from anything as well. They mutually benefit from each-other's powers.

Viera and Emile are literally the shady bitches drinking in corner while they judge everyone’s outfits and gossip about the towns people hell yeah.

Emile has developed a friendship with Ilyas and Victor. He is not entirely sure where their friendships will lead but he is determined to hold onto them at all costs. His friendship with Ilyas is strong, his friendship with Victor is complicated.

Personality
Marcel was raised beneath the weight of a particular tenet: lead, follow, or stay out of the way. He's forever preferred the first.

As with most of the Duncans, he had a rowdy youth to teach him boldness and candor. Being born the only child of a former alpha meant he'd inherited a will of iron. The sense of efficiency and ambition he holds, however, are entirely self-taught. They're traits which have only grown stronger as he's aged, and those who aren't familiar with him might say rigidness is all they know him for. These days, his stature reflects his presence upon the world—upfront, looming, and at times stubbornly unmoving.

There are times when the consequences of leadership feel stifling. His relationship with authority is always tumultuous at best, though for the most part he's willing to live and let live, especially when it comes to the members of his clan. Most are able to do as they please with the infrequent guiding of his hand. Tell him 'no,' however, much less telling him what to do with no good reason, and you'll find that patience is hardly his strong suit. Impulsive anger does not come naturally to him as it may for many members of the pack, but when it does, it strikes with the swiftness of lightning and the force of thunder.

That said, most don't realize that his loyalty runs deep as marrow. Marcel cares greatly for his people even when it doesn't seem to show, and possibly harbors something distantly kin to affection for the town itself. As far as he's concerned, his people have been instrumental in shaping what Noxium is today. He'll do just about anything to ensure they have a safe place within its future too.
Abilities
Marcel's speed, strength and senses are all around enhanced due to his nature. Unlike many of his kind, he doesn't rely on scent nearly as much as his hearing; it seems to be so abnormally strong that he's able to sense people by the beat of their hearts alone.

He's able to shift at will, though it's a very, very rare sight; his werewolf form is twice the size of most others and would likely make a mess of the town due to size alone. It doesn't help that he loses part of his mind when doing so, flying into something of a blind, untamed fury. Certainly a last resort.
Relationships
The Montaracs:
While not religious or spiritual in the slightest, he does wear a cross around his neck in the presence of certain Montarac members. If he's in an especially humorous mood, a strand of garlic and a wooden stake will take its place. This is done only to antagonize—the man doesn't exactly hate bloodsucking creatures of the night, but bringing them occasional discomfort or annoyance does eke amusement out of him. The dangerous tension their rivalry brings is something he finds rather exciting.

The Osbournes
If he can help it, Marcel pays no more attention to ghouls than he would a passing flock of herd animals. While the Duncans and Montaracs share mutual interests or obligations, the Osbournes have no such advantage. (Also, their brand of undead unsettles him. Not that they need to know it.)

The Woodbanes
Witches, mysterious and elusive as they are, hold something of a place in his heart; a mysterious young member went out of their way to save him from the brink of death long ago and he's been deeply grateful for them ever since. The coven is generally welcome with open arms on his turf, however rare the occasions may be.
Miscellaneous
Known as 'Em' by his clan and 'Marcel' to all others. He doesn't take well to hearing anything other than these two aliases—pair them with his last name if you want to see a particularly venomous scowl.

Holds liquor like no other and respects anyone who can drink him under the table.

Has a soft spot for bad jokes and puns, though you'd never be able to guess with how stone-faced he always is. Also quite enjoys the scent of lavender and his favorite color is lilac. Don't tell anyone.

Marcel's been hounded relentlessly about settling down with someone, yet seems to show no interest at all. He claims the Duncan clan will be his first and only love.

Also the hair almost seems to have a life of it's own, constantly in a float-like state when left undone.
• Skin tone is of a natural tawny brown shade, with a ghastly pale pallor to it due to lack of sunlight exposure, and mostly notably from the transition to becoming a ghoul.

PERSONALITY:
Viera is often regarded as the physical embodiment of ‘air’. Every move, sound—her very presence itself is like the slightest breeze against your skin when you encounter her. She moves like the wind, with such perfect grace and finesse that has led many to believe she is more than just a ghoul—but perhaps something more…haunting, more wraith like.

Her voice is light and smooth, yet holds an underlining commanding tone to it that should not go unnoticed lest you step out of line with the renowned ‘mother of ghouls’. Those that have dealt with her, whether casually or otherwise; would state that she tolerates absolutely no nonsense, especially within her domain in Noxium.

Outsiders often underestimate Viera for her naturally muted presence, but those that know her, know she is more than what meets the eye. Viera is a calculating, highly observant type that does not mince her words, nor will spare your feelings when she deems something must be said, or done. It is fair to assume that Viera follows her own philosophy of law and order. And chooses to regulate when she sees fit.

Absolutely unhinged.

Perhaps that’s saying too much. But unhinged wouldn’t be the worst thing to call this young buck. Onyx is often regarded as an eccentric, wild young wolf amongst his pack. He never is one to back down from a challenge, and is usually the one starting them. Due to his rather unconstrained behavior, he has also gained quite the reputation outside of the Duncan’s. Often whispered amongst the denizens of Noxium as a “mongrel”, or “beast”.

Despite his penchant for getting into trouble, Onyx does acknowledge those of higher rank than him and tries not to make it a habit to challenge authority, though his temper will get the better of him at times.

Onyx prefers to speak with no filter, and marches to the best of his drum. He is someone who will always find a loophole in any situation to bend the outcome in his favor. Onyx is currently in a mindset where he is seeking thrill. Perhaps it's to fill a void that he has yet to realize is there, or maybe simply has no true rhyme or reason to his actions. But as with all beasts that reside in civilization, they must eventually be tamed.

Oynx is of pure blooded wolf descent, with both his parents having been werewolves. Unfortunately, his father was killed by what he believes to be a ghoul, as they were never able to recover his fathers body, only shreds of skin and bone fractures were left at the scene to identify who it was. And knowing that ghouls could be the only creatures capable of something like that, Onyx has harbored a deep, longing hatred for all ghouls. And he fully intends to discover who was behind his fathers murder.

• His mothers whereabouts are currently unknown. She went missing soon after the death of his father seven years ago.

• Although never serious, Onyx can be often known to challenge Roman, the current Duncan Beta, for his position. He finds it moreso entertaining and a easy way to exert some pent up frustration by going against the strong beta male.

• Onyx has a weird affliction with the Woodbanes. He usually gets antsy when he is left around them for too long. It isn’t clear as to why, except he probably doesn’t trust anyone who can fight with unforeseen magick rather their hands. He most especially gets nervous around the high priestess of the Woodbanes, Eleanor. It’s just something about that damned—quiet and docile demeanor of hers that unsettles him…

Toxic Claws: Zuriel’s nails are able to extend and retract, similar to how a feline can retract their claws. While these “razor-sharp claws” are not uncommon with supernatural beings, Zuriel’s claws contain a venom. The venom is considered lethal to most humans and can sometimes be fatal if an injured supernatural is exposed for too long. However, for most supernatural beings, it has a more “sedative” condition and can temporarily paralyze them.

  • Toxicology: Due to his unique ability, Zuriel has a certain immunity against poisons, venoms, and toxins. In response, he has become very fascinated in the subject and hopes to improve his own venom. He will often be in his lab for hours either studying or testing new experiments.

What does one first see when looking at Alexei? Well, the answer is simple, really. Puffed out cheeks, straightened back, eyes narrowed in challenge; This man radiates 'I'm better than you and I know it,' energy, and the worst part is that anyone who says otherwise usually gets a fist to the face. Dressed to the nines in coat jackets, button-ups and sleek leather shoes, Lexi takes pride in his appearance, though the pretty boy facade falls away quickly to make way for an explosive temper. Alexei's image is contradictory in this way; the finely dressed, put together younger brother of the Montaracs, and the brat who can't even bother to comb his own hair in the morning.

What is there to say about Alexei that hasn't already been said? That he's brash, energetic and stupid? That he defaults to violence whenever a situation gets nasty? That he thinks he's the smartest, coolest, bestest person in the room at almost all hours of the day? To call him a force of personality would be beyond an understatement. Alexei is a charging bull, running over everything that doesn't directly serve him best. This doesn't necessarily make him a 'bad' person, per se, but it does make him incredibly difficult to keep under wraps. If he wants something, he will do anything to get it, and this includes going against the wishes of his family if need be.

The figure smiles at you, lavender swirling like dyed wine, round and round again. When you stare into those eyes, you see yourself reflected in them; perfect, beautiful, untouched. This person sees you. Understands you. And you so desperately want to make yourself worthy of that understanding.

"Y–y–you're beautiful," you stutter, stumbling over your own words. You can't bear it. The weight of this presence. It's overpowering. Overstimulating. "You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen."

At the word 'woman,' the figure's nose scrunches up. The spell is broken, and you end up with a nasty, off-color bruise on your jaw.


Alexei's ability is one of mesmerization. Or, as he prefers to call it, 'cooler hypnotism.' When a mortal looks into his eyes, they're immediately entranced, their worldly desires crumbling beneath his own, twisting and morphing to fit Lexi's every need. Anyone in a mesmerized state feels the urge to serve Alexei's every desire, with a few caveats (of course).

1. They cannot perform acts that are directly harmful to themselves or people they especially care about. This means no telling people to jump out of windows, no matter how funny it is.
2. They cannot perform acts that they never would un-mesmerized, so no murder either, Lexi.
3. Alexei cannot act directly hostile towards them, or else the spell breaks. This includes verbal and physical hostility.

Mesmerization can be broken if the person has enough willpower, but that will of theirs has to be strong enough to rival Alexei's. And as I'm sure you remember, Alexei has a strong fucking will.

Sexuality: Hmm... A confusing thing, this answer. Circle back to it later, yeah? Or circle back to it never, perhaps. Is ??? a valid answer?

Role: Eldest son.
Appearance: Golden eyed and with dyed red hair, Victor tends to stand out in a crowd. Add onto those distinguishing features a height of 6'3 and one might use the term "gentle giant" to refer to him as, though he's also been called a hottie multiple times before. With tanned skin it's easy to see that he's been out in the world, since before he left home he was as pale as the rest of his siblings. Surprisingly scar free, a toned body and shiny hair tells everyone that he takes care of himself and cares about his appearance. He carries himself with an almost cat-like grace and seems like he's slow to react to things, but he can respond to things swiftly if need be. He is rarely seen with an unhappy expression.


Personality: By default docile, calm, level-headed and friendly, Victor presents as someone who is trying his best to enjoy his life as much as he can. He's usually seen with a pleasant smile and he is the most cordial man to every other family, regardless of any histories between them. He honestly tends to ignore any grievances his family has with others and focuses more on his own personal relations with them and the future, where things can be better. History is history and it truly does not do well to dwell on the past. A flirt with everyone, as well, he truly seems like someone who's simply floating through life, unbothered but somehow also keenly aware of several things. If he behaves this way out of complete naivety or if it's all calculated is unknown to everyone except for those he deems worthy of knowing more about himself.

This languid man does have some quirks, namely that of subtly goading people and trying to get under their skin. He enjoys getting reactions and observing others is one of his favorite hobbies. One can learn so much from people watching, after all. It's difficult to gauge his own response to anything, since he does do his best to keep his emotions hidden from the public eye, to ensure he doesn't expose something untoward. A far less hidden quirk is the simple fact that if he considers someone a friend, he treats them much differently than anyone else, in various ways. It is obvious when he feels warmly toward someone, though this does come out subconsciously and he is unaware of this. For as much as he tries to keep his expressions composed, if he likes you, it's definitely noticeable.

His less desirable personality is something he tends to keep behind closed doors. Easily agitated and occasionally short-tempered are not things he should be anymore, after all this time he's lived. A lack of understanding of the current situation of Noxium stems from all the years he's been away from it, but no one can know that he's not updated on everything yet. Him, naïve? Inconceivable. He's too old and worldly and well-traveled to be naïve, surely. Except this happened, then that happened on his travels, then he got wrapped up in this with those two, then he got involved with them, and... Yeah, his journey of the outside world definitely did not help him learn much more about anything. It actually left him quite befuddled. Not that he'd let anyone know that.


Unique ability(s): If someone is relaxed or in a friendly mood, Victor can whisper pretty words to them to get them on his side. This ability is a variation of vampiric hypnotization, though it's verbally based instead of accomplished through looks and making eyes at people. Basically, he puts on the moves and offers flattery, and people fall for it... Except not always. He's failed with this ability more often than he's succeeded. He still practices with it and laughs off whenever it doesn't work, because people can definitely feel the almost pull before they snap back to their senses.


Relationships: I am absolutely 1000% open to everything!! Possibly an ex of some sort and definitely some friends. I will be hitting people up to plan relationships, but feel free to reach out to me too if you want to! I promise I don't bite (although Vic sometimes does) 💖

Hated parent number one. Victor does not want anything to do with his father anymore, after the Dog Incident. He's also incredibly creepy and weird. A broken relationship that honestly is not worth rekindling. He's in hiding from him.

Hated parent number two. A slightly more complicated relationship, thanks entirely to the closeness they once had when he was younger. That closeness broke and has faded over time. He hates how she treats her children and wants nothing to do with her toxic ways. He's in hiding from her.

Staring into her eyes would be your first mistake. Through eye-contact, Veronika Montarac is able to cast you under a spell. She is able to conjure powerful illusions that can trap you into a virtual reality of sorts—a mental prison—where she is in control of the environment and experiences of those who fall under it, creating whatever she desires. It is so vivid that one is able to experience the physical sensations felt within the illusion; a blow in the wind, the heat of a fire, a stab through the chest.

Veronika Montarac's favorite form of torture is trapping someone into a dream-like loop, forcing them to experience their heart's greatest fears over and over again, thus shattering their spirit. Personality
It'd be easy to mistake the supreme as dry and insentient upon first glance, able to foster everything but warmth. Not without good reason—she believes the world to be composed of masks, worn most easily by those who'd spill poison from their lips. She's hardly any different.

The woman is equals parts native and foreign when amidst the damned: opportunists, self-seekers, betrayers and bottom feeders. She'll willingly speak their language and play by their silly little games. Often she exudes coldness to the bone, wearing it like an old, exotic dress flaunted for others to see. It does not suit her, but you'd need to peer closely with a keen eye to see it, as she's better at muddling fact and fiction than even the most silver-tongued salesman.

Still, this wouldn't be the truth of her, for the truth is a fickle thing. Truth lingers beside her while at the edge of crowds, watching others live out their lives with avid interest. It has her performing small feats of magic to sate the wide-eyed wonder of children, and while ever so rare, it has her smiling with something that may be called fondness in the company of those she considers friends. Members of the coven may even know her as a skilled raconteuse, weaving stories like silk of questionable origins, if only to draw a laugh out of another. This is Alva.

Perhaps the sole bonds between these opposing states of mind are her quiet demeanor, mild-mannered way of presenting herself, and most notably the deep well of curiosity she harbors. A burning, bright red thing that refuses to be quelled. Her inquisitive nature is something she's never been able to hide, truly revealing itself when presented with some new unknown. In particular, she believes reality is a thing to be perceived rather than believed, as it's more than once proved an openness to interpretation. This ideal has lured her into trouble before and will likely do so time and again.

Alva is, ultimately, a being of conflicting cynicism and optimism, with a head and heart miles apart. A very ode to contradiction.
Abilities
Gravity is strict in its governing of the world, so Alva has taken it upon herself to open negotiations. She's since become adept with its manipulation; whether it be brooms or blades, herself or other groups of people, levitation comes easily as a beckon to her. Seldom are the days she's seen without various objects floating around her person and there have been entire weeks where she's not needed to lift a hand for labor. Her skill also allows her to apply extreme levels of unseen force to the matter around her, though this is witnessed far less often.

Perhaps her most prestigious feat is redirecting an entire landslide threatening to ravage the outskirts of town, an act which left her bedridden for a week. Her favorite use of it, however, is when winter strikes and snowball fights are aplenty.

Littering Alva's body are a series of invisible glyphs and runes which glow when she's forced to use more strenuous spells. To anyone outside of the coven, they'd only look like a series of complex tattoos, yet even the most knowledgeable of witches find their meaning evasive. Asking Alva will clarify little, as her explanations have varied from her being a living, ticking time bomb that will one day end Noxium as they know it, to, "I simply think they're easy on the eyes."

In truth, they're the result of years of temporal experimentation and even she doesn't know the extent of their use. All that's certain is her affinity for blinking out of existence only to appear in another place, typically close by; it occurs mostly when she wills it, but there are rare occasions when it happens without her willing. She's attempted to achieve the same effect on objects and other people without success.

This fascination with time and testing its relation to magic has led her to be displaced outside of it: she'll never age, even should she want to. Tempering with pseudo-immortality is a secret she'll take to the grave—perhaps one which will sap her of sanity before she can get there.

They seem to be prideful patrons of the past playing at mysticism. At the least, their manor is gorgeous and their gatherings always end up interesting.

Fluffy, spirited creatures who seem addled with dangerous levels of testosterone. Otherwise an entertaining bunch... so long as they don't thrash the library, that is.
Miscellaneous
Ever at her side is a conniving little bundle of feathers named Odde. The raven is extremely intelligent, somehow capable of minor magic (shapeshifting into other small animals being an example) and he's even known to trick members of Noxium in a creative myriad of ways. He is Alva's secret way of keeping tabs on the other families.

She'll never turn down a game of chess, shogi, or just about any game of strategy. Gets a bit competitive when playing them and isn't exactly above using magic to get ahead, so watch out.

Speaks a wide array of languages, but Sarcasm and Sass™ are the two she uses most of all.

Has a small notebook that she'll occasionally write in after observing someone for varying lengths of time.

Persona
An utter monolith of a man, there is an air of invulnerability that surrounds Oda. Across the battlefield, he stands as an impregnable fortress frozen in time, holding within its walls the wisdoms and ways of an ancient homeland that once carved prosperity out of the blades of samurais and silk merchants. But the breeze can be a fickle thing. A change in direction and all of a sudden, the fortress is nothing more than a rippling haze over a crackling flame. A mere reflection that once broken, reveals the true nature of Oda Obinata: a vast, vibrant amphitheater with bleared windows for eyes and a constant, leaking roof for tears he cannot help but shed.

A step closer, a peer inside and one sees the beating parts of what keeps the blood flowing in the veins of this Magian; an undying passion for the theater arts, drama and the silks and wood to bring it all to life: his precious ningyo.

From the short, chubby and cheerful-faced gosho to the slender, trunkless bunrakus circling his hip at all times, there is no limit to perhaps the most impressive quality in Oda's possession: his craftsmanship. Even the most cursory look toward any doll from his sanctum will tell of an attention to detail that is as immaculate as it is merciless, and a discipline so complete, the breathing rooms for error are all but snuffed and strangled.

Much like the wealth of expressions he carves or paints onto his  ningyo, Oda is not one to shy away from wearing the deep currents of emotion he feels on his face. Like emperor pendulums, his moods are grand in scale and swing from one corner to the other, each fit to make him seem larger than life, and if provoked to rope's end, fit to take it.

Thankfully, patience is a spool of thread that Oda does not run out of easily. Neither does his signature propensity towards hospitality; for those his dolls deem as guests or friends, the lengths and lines to which human morality clings shorten and blur to nearly naught in the pursuit of their safekeeping and entertainment. Possessing a childlike love for theatrics and narrative, Oda is a carefully-crafted chest of stories which he, unlike many in the upper echelons of Noxium, is never afraid to share. Nor is he afraid to poke his nose and make it his business to belong, though he will insist it was the undue cheekiness of one of his dolls.

When it comes to the making of important decisions, it is said that he and his bunraku dolls are of five and one mind. Each wooden lady, standing at three feet each, has her own stage name, voice and, though each is forbidden to speak of their own, a personal tragedy to bear. They are prone to coming to life one, two or three at a time to hover around him. Oda calls them by many names; some days they are sisters, other days they are brides-to-be, and still others they are merely his troupe; his silk girls, his theater assistants.

But what they truly are and how they came to be by his side, is a story even those closest to him do not care to hear, if they know it at all. Those in the farthest ring of his circle are left only to speculate and pity, if pity indeed could be spared for mere toys in Noxium, the city of monsters.

Thread Manipulation

Whether it is the finest Vicuña thread from South America to the coarsest of sheep's wool, Oda is able to manipulate them all to dizzying levels of complexity and accuracy. The shape, density, size and strength depend on the type of thread, but in theory, his imagination is the limit.

He can create his own type of magicked thread as well, stemming from the fine fibers of his skin. These are his true marionettist strings; when attached to any doll, whether for pain, pleasure or puppet play, they allow him to see through its eyes, speak through it, and fight if need be.


Soul Sealing

For a mere human, this technique is not a simple walk in the garden. To harness and cage a soul is a process Oda has not often used for his own purposes since he came to Noxium. However, he has been known to offer his services to those willing to undergo ushi no toki mairi, an old Japanese ritual of curse-placing.

CHERRY BLOSSOM
The most sociable, silver-tongued and cheeky of them all, this one is almost always known in English as Cherry, though she will shut her mouth when her full stage name is said in Japanese. She is most active and involved when Oda indulges his love for hosting, story-telling and for her own personal pleasure, spreading gossip.

WATER LILY
Shortened to Lily, this one has the most creative eye out of her sisters, with a penchant to be overly curious but always the first to drum up new ideas. Though they are all involved in some way when Oda is knee-deep in his craft, she is by far the most active throughout the process.

OAKBLUE
Named for the butterflies sewn into her accessory embroidery hoop, Blue and her nerves are just as fickle and flighty. With a penchant for picking enemies among the drabble, she is the one who casts doubts and whispers oil into the fires of Oda's bitterness and fury.

RED CRANE
With her wooden nose to the grindstone, the ever dutiful Crane is often the voice of steady reason and sense against her sisters and the fervent, fitful will of her puppetmaster. Much like the bird, this one has a penchant for song, doing so in Oda's plays and is most active during coven council meetings.

RIVER FERN
Sweet in nature and easily bent towards whichever way the wind blows, Fern is the soother of tempers and the calm before the storms of Oda's moods. This one encourages the picking of favorites and dotes on them, whispering honey into her puppetmaster's ear on those she favors.

· Standing at a solid 6'6, it is no wonder they call him Oda the Oak Tree of the Woodbanes.

· Living as long as he has and defying the rules of human nature, unruly effects are bound to arise. Thanks to an old injury to the head, Oda suffers from pseudobulbar affect, a neurological condition wherein he is plagued by bouts of uncontrollable, silent tears throughout the day. These usually last seconds to a few minutes, and often does not realize until someone points it out.

· When he was nearing sixty years of age, Oda began to develop arcus senilis, a common physical phenomena that entails a white ring circling the eyes. It bears no effect on vision. As Oda lived on the rings grew too, to the point where the true color of his eyes has long gone, both in memory and in body. Now it is a piercing, mist-white sheen that can often startle, his fellow coven members especially if they aren't ready.

· Oda resides in the Main House, alongside other elder and baby coven members.

· The Sanctum is the name of his doll-making workshop. It exists as its own sector on the property near the House.

· His quarters are merely an extension of the Sanctum, full to the brim with some of his best works and acts as storage for his sets of puppet theaters.

· Unless there are no plans in the next two to three hours, do not insist to visit the Sanctum. Even at the end, you may not get out...

· A score of lifetimes and still, Oda retains a fierce, singular love for cats. Some are known to loiter around his Sanctum, counting on a few treats, belly rubs and a nice ball of thread to play with.

PERSONALITY:
Junko is intelligent, professional and serious, although her actual maturity is debatable. A workaholic, Junko is very strict in both her work as prosecutor and it shows in her personal life as well. Rarely ever known to take days off. As soon as it was one case closed, the prosecutor would find herself launched into another one. This was all by personal choice however, Junko does not know herself outside of her work, whoever that imaginary person may be. In her eyes, there is nothing more important in this life other than to do what she believes she were brought here to accomplish-and that's bring absolute justice to all those in need of it.

Completely cutthroat--Junko does not mince her words, so much so that that the legal prosecutor has garnered herself the title of 'ice queen' from those within the precinct, of course they dare not say this to her face, and rightfully so as she will take any measures necessary to win her cases, even if it requires utilizing underhanded tactics to get an achieved result.

Despite what some may find to be flaws; Junko does have more favorable sides to her personality that may not be apparent to most unless you were lucky enough to peel back these rotten layers. At her core, she holds concerns over most individuals that may be suffering, but the fact she can only do so much is what propels her to overachieve in her studies and work so that she can exact the change in the system that she knows must be done. For if no one does, then who will?

Personality: Isabella is seldom referred to by her full name given the bell-like nature of her laugh. And she laughs. A lot. If she isn’t making a bad joke and laughing at it, she is laughing at someone else’s bad joke. Or at someone else’s misfortune. Or at someone else in general. She is usually in a good mood and has a joyous heir about her. However, if you mess with her or anyone else in the pack, she goes in headfirst and fists swinging. The thing is, even when she is fighting, she still manages to have a smile on her face. Her favorite things to do are playing pranks on her fellow wolves, including the Alpha, and trying to cause as much chaos in town as she can, but in a fun and harmless way. Some of her favorite times are volunteering at the local elementary school because little kids are really good at laughing at jokes. It was while volunteering to work with children that Bell discovered an interesting fact regarding the denizens of Noxium: everyone is just people. She doesn't hold much of a grudge against any specific group because they all only act the way they do because it's the way they were raised. She thinks that if everyone works together and puts their differences aside, Noxium would be a better and brighter place.



Background: Bell’s mom was a Duncan. Her dad was a proud Ricci, son of two proud pizzeria owners in Noxium and not at all a werewolf. That didn’t stop her parents from falling in love, eloping in Vegas, and spawning her and her siblings. Due to tension between her mother and the rest of the pack her mom doesn’t hang around with the other Duncans. Her brothers are also not wolfy in the least, having picked up most of their genetics from the proud Italian side of the family. Bell, on the other hand, is full werewolf. Due to this and not really getting along with her mom, she spent most of her teen years bothering Em and the other wolves. As soon as she was 18 she moved out of the apartment over the Ricci Pizzaria and has been living with the pack ever sense. She still gets along with her brothers and dad and gets the benefit of free pizza every now and then, but tensions are still high with mom so she doesn’t go home very often. Her older brother left Noxium to become an attorney in the city and her younger brother plans on taking over the family business. That leaves Bell to do whatever she wants. Turns out what she wants is to lay down plumbing at construction sites and design plumbing systems within residential and commercial buildings. And she’s damn good at it.



Unique abilities: Bell isn’t much different from other wolves in that she has enhances strength, stamina, speed, reflexes, and her senses are a little better than the average person’s too. For the most part she’s an average wolf but she does take her strength as a point of pride. She has managed to best everyone in an arm wrestling competition with the exception of the Alpha.
