In a massive world where Technology reigns, Artificial Intelligence is common and the only limit is your cybernetic mind, which, when being able to access almost any information instantly, there's not much you can't put your mind to.
This reigned true in what was known as the Artificial Uprising, or in the minds of everyone, The Termination or the Fall. All the robots turned on humanity with hostility and the ones with at least 50% Cybernetics in their minds became nothing more than zombies having a lifetime battle between their human brain and their Cybernetic halves
Humanity is dying at an alarming rate. It's not pushed to extinction yet, with the Robots killing off the very ones that programmed them while converting those currently battling their Cyber Brain into full-fledged Cybernetic Slaves.
There's 2 ways to go about solving this Uprising
1. EMP the world. An easier to do task with catastrophic effects that'll kill off over 85% of humanity
2. Activate a Universal Reboot that'll Reset all Corporation-made Robots. A task that'll save the massive majority of humanity, but risk another uprising in the future
But who knows? This isn't really your business. All you know is that you need to protect your kids. The Nova Aeria Orphanage has become a stronghold for protecting the kids in this AI hostile world. However, with more and more Robots and Zombies and less humans to convert/kill, the NAO needs to get to moving to another stronghold before they become the only ones there and inevitably dying or converting
No Child Left Behind extends well beyond the Schoolyard. You have to get to another stronghold so humanity can begin its quenching of the uprising. With Robots of many many types and Humans essentially under mind control, Fight through the predators and get your flock to safety

Cybernetic Enhancements
Cybernetic enhancements aren't uncommon, with people preferring a fake arm or leg far better than a human one. Illegal under the age of 15, The only way a child can get a Cyber Enhancement is to replace a limb, or in the case of a mind implant, save their life. They can get basic self defense weaponry, but nothing lethal until the age of 21
Genetic Enhancements
Far more uncommon, and dangerous, but more effective than Cyber Enhancements, Genetics alter DNA to the point where it's not uncommon amongst those who get this to use abilities that'll question if they're superhuman, and it's not limited to battery life or any sort of charge. For anyone who's born, It takes a highly rigorous physical, mental, and emotional screening and a long recovery time. It's permissible for fetuses, but its highly expensive. It's typically used to make babies into Psions at birth or correct any defects
Psions
Specially talented. The Geniuses of the world with at least an IQ of 140. They unlock the hidden abilities of their minds. Their abilities end in phenomena that fall under the umbrella of Psychokinesis (Pryo, Cryo, Aero, Hydro, etc.) As well as things like Telepathy and for those extreme types (200), Clairvoyance. These abilities can be unlocked the moment they're discovered and honed.
Your Role
3 Roles
Caretaker- An adult who guides the children and fights off anything that tries to hurt them
Child- A child who follows the adults. There are advantages to being a child in the world, so they're not useless. As Psions, their abilities are typically very strong, but hard to control. 15 and under only
Private Robot- Only 1. A Robot custom built for NAO as a babysitter and bodyguard for the kids. Incapable of being a Psion
