So few, so proud, so… emotional
Roleplay Availability
My Interest Check
Hey, I’m Northe.
Disclaimer: I am not here for romance heavy plots. Platonic is not romantic. If I partake in a roleplay with romance between the characters, it is not the main focus, and it will be slow. If you are looking for romance, I am sorry, I cannot help you.

I am always open unless stated otherwise. Please reach out after getting a good idea of what I’m looking for!

I’ll be editing this often and will be replying when I do so. Please contact me through PMs rather than replying.

Anyway, welcome!
I’m well aware this is crazy long, but there’s only a few sections you need to read: What I’m Offering, Who I Am, Who You Are, What I’m NOT Offering, and Other Things to Avoid. Everything else is in depth specifics of genres, plots, themes, and other things. If you read through the above mentioned required reading and then skip to the end and read one plot, that’s cool! If you only read the required reading and come to me with what you are looking for specifically, I’ll weed out all the nonsense and get right to the point! But this is a little introduction to my long winded nonsense…

Also I’ve added tabs and threadmarks now! Look at me, I’m growing! This is just my Ultimate Interest Check.

Required Reading
What I’m offering/looking for:
Literate role-plays with an emphasis on storytelling and relationships between characters that develop alongside the plot and influence how the characters themselves change and develop. All characters have flaws, and all characters experience change throughout their story journeys.

  • Who I am:
    • Northe, obviously.
    • I write varying amount depending on who my partner is, from the shortest being two nice sized paragraphs to 3000 words or more. I can adapt, and if you’re willing to put up with me and are eager for something you see, feel free to reach out, we might be able to work something out.
    • I always write my role-plays in third person, and the amount of descriptiveness depends on where and what the characters are doing, as well as my current mental state and timeline. There’s also some dependence on the character I’m playing.
    • I like grammar, but I will never say anything about typos or mistakes unless I can’t figure out the meaning. I’m pretty good at looking at the keyboard and figuring out what key might have been missed, so there shouldn’t be a problem. I tend to write long run-on sentences with lots of commas and clauses, everyone has their grammar struggles. Besides, as long as it’s coherent, nobody cares.
    • I often play multiple characters of different personalities, backgrounds, flaws, and arcs. Sometimes I focus more on one singular main character with the others as more stagnant side characters to fill in the world, while other times, each character has their own perspective and story to follow. This mostly depends on the partner as well. Some people prefer one character each, and I’m cool with that.
    • I usually prefer playing male characters, but I used to play more females. I can go either way, but unless it changes, my go-to will be a male.
    • I play all sorts of types of characters. Humans, Animals, Animal-Humans, Mythical Creatures, Robots/AI, and more. I have varying levels of experience with each, but I’m always willing to learn and try something new out.
    • If you’re wondering about ‘doubling’, I will remind you again that this is a search for platonic relationships, not including love interests. However, if you have a character who you think just really needs a good friend, I can cater to that, depending on what it is. A genuine friend, not a friend with ‘benefits’ or bla bla bla. If you want more details on what I mean by this, feel free to reach out.
    • I enjoy world-building, but I am not the greatest… I will offer brief descriptions for worlds I have already set up to use as a setting, but I’m also open to creating something new to fit with particular characters. If you want a world that allows a fish alien from outer space to meet with a sentient cactus, we can do that.
    • For fandoms, I will most likely not play canon characters. I just don’t do it often and don’t have much experience with it. I might be will to try it out, depending on the context. But I’m totally cool with using a world already built within a fandom and creating characters within the rules. I’ll have an incomplete fandoms list further down.
    • I enjoy OOC chatter, talking and theorizing about characters, coming up with silly nicknames for them, and overall keeping in touch. However, I am terrible at reaching out and starting things. Just know, that even if I’ve been quiet, I’m probably just shy or something.
    • I consider myself to be ‘experienced’, and even if you’ve just heard of roleplaying yesterday, feel free to jump in. I may not know all the terms and applications of things, but I am here to help. I like sharing the things I’ve learned in my (short by comparison to some people here) time role-playing. Everyone’s gotta start somewhere.
    • As for aesthetics, I know some small things about coding, but I’m more worried about readability and accessibility(you’ll see me use accordions later on). I’m often on mobile, and I use light mode. If you change colors of text, just make sure it shows up on a white background.
    • I’m not great with character reference images. I usually draw all mine myself(or use AI), but I usually don’t have an image at all. I’m not confident in my drawing skills, and usually just don’t take the time and effort to do anything about it.
    • I prefer to role-play through private conversations, one set up for OOC and the other for IC. It’s for organization and clear readability.
    • I like to say that I can reply at least once a day, but as my replies get longer and my motivation grows drier, it ends up being longer between each. I’m not going to put a deadline down about posts, because I will likely not adhere to it myself.
    • As for ghosting, all I ask is that you please tell me if you don’t plan to continue. You don’t need a reason, just some indication that you don’t intend to continue.
    • I often have a problem with procrastinating, so if I’ve been quiet, just remind me or strike up a conversation and I’ll probably get right back to it.
    • Honestly, too, if you just wanna chat about writing, plots, or ideas in general, don’t be afraid to reach out. I just would like to avoid chats about personal lives.

What I will NOT be doing:
Romance based role-plays that focuses on the romantic interest between two characters, no matter who or what the characters are.

Other Things to Avoid:
  • Gambling/Games with winners/losers receiving Death(like Squid Games)
  • NSFW Content
  • Plots surrounding and focusing on suicide. It can be present in minor ways, but not the focus or of the greatest importance.
  • Plots that only focus on one character rather than both/all(unless specified being one that I want to play a GM for and lead you and your OC on a wild story)

Overview of Interests, Pairings & Themes

  • Overall Genres of Interest:

Fantasy: A very broad genre of anything that is impossible in our world. Magic, Dragons, Mythical Creatures, and the like. I am always an enjoyer of a fantasy based world.

Science Fiction: Another broad genre of anything that is not real in our world… but dare I say ‘possible’. Technology based rather than life based. Things like Robots, AI, Aliens, flying cars, and more.

Supernatural: The one focusing on things you might see in horror movies or urban legends. Ghosts, Spirits, Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, and various things.

Superhero/Action: Set in a world more similar to ours but with people who have certain abilities or talents. The level of power or influence of fantasy can fluctuate depending on what it is. Emphasizes fights or battles against a Big Bad and potentially training and/or redemption.

Detective/Mystery: Another world similar to ours with deep problems or mysteries. Emphasizes figuring out something that was previously unknown to the characters and bringing about some change for the better.

Slice of Life/School: This can fall under many different types of worlds, but is more focused on the day to day of characters and their relationships with one another. There can be a deeper plot that emerges down the line, but emphasizes the flaws and conflicts between the characters as people attempting to come to terms with their mistakes and growing together.

Reborn/Regression: This can also fall under many different genres and the ‘rebirth’ can come from different reasons depending. It can be a travel back in time regression, it can be a body brought back to life in the future, or a new life restarted over and over. This one requires more planning to figure out how both characters are involved and how it works. It emphasizes change occurring in people and potentially nature vs nurture and how different experiences and small details can change people in big ways.

Medieval: Knights, swords, quests, and roughing it in the wilds! Conflicts between hierarchy and royalty alongside grand quests and journeys of self-discovery and learning how to have allies and trust others.

Plots
About the following plot ideas:

There are various ‘types’ of plots I’m going to be advertising under a few different names. Here you can see my definitions of what I mean by each.
Collaborative: While yes, all of the plots are collaborative, these ones require it from both sides. The influence in these plots will come equally from both of us, through the use of main characters and various side characters and NPCs. We should both have an understanding of what we’re doing and throw in our own twists and turns.
My Lead: We will still both have a main character, but I will be the one guiding the plot through side characters and NPCs. Neither you nor your character will know what is about to happen before it happens. Of course, it’s all surrounding your character, so everything my characters and NPCs say revolves around how you react and respond. But I will be the one orchestrating most of the twists in the story.
Your Lead: The same as My Lead but with you in charge. These will pretty much be offered the same as the plots for My Lead but with allowing you to take control if you wish.
GM: These are similar to My Lead, but I’ll also be playing the ‘environment’ as well. I also don’t have a specific main character, but instead might play a couple sides characters.
Fandom: These are set within the worlds of a fandom but have a specific plot I’ve come up with for them. And I mean a decently developed plot. Other things are obviously still open.

***I have put a star next to each plot per topic that I am particularly interested in***

  • 1. Fantasy
    Dragon Hunters Inc.
Welcome to Dragon Hunters Incinerated! We have two goals here; Hunt Dragons and Don’t get Incinerated! This is your Welcome Guide to ensure you know what you’re getting into.
    1. You’re a Dragon Hunter.
Yes, it’s true Dragons are extremely rare and powerful, but you already knew that. You’re being paid considerable sums of money just to attempt to find one, but if you manage to kill one, that’s when your life changes. That’s what you’re here for, isn’t it? The money. It’s always the money.
    2. You’ll be assigned a teammate.
Who is it and what their skill level is, it’s hard to say. All duos are teamed up randomly. You might be lucky and be paired with a seasoned veteran, or you might find yourself stuck with a total idiot.
    3. What happens you to and your teammate is out of our hands.
You didn’t expect us to give you any weapons, did you? Or training, right? You don’t sign up to be a Dragon Hunter without first knowing how and having the tools for it, right? Right?
    4. Oh, by the way, look out for the Draconic Cults.
These people are crazy, and they’re kind of known for catching, torturing, and killing Dragon Hunters. But you can handle that too, can’t you?
    5. Don’t Talk to the Dragons.
    Just don’t. Okay?
**Our characters will be Dragon Hunters on their first mission together trying to navigate the violent yet profitable world of Dragon Hunting. Not only must they cross the continent, but they must avoid the Draconic Cults. Not to mention, there seems to be something suspicious about this whole ‘Dragon Hunting thing’. Don’t talk to Dragons, huh? Wait- you mean Dragons can talk?
    Children of Hope
Six kids are born on the same night, in the same hour, on the same second. Right at the exact same moment, a solar eclipse blots out the light of the sun upon the earth. Strangely, even in locations where an eclipse should have no effect, the light is diminished and darkened. From then on, the sky is covered with clouds and people grow restless and weary. Violence creeps up across the lands like a plague and it seems that the end is growing near. The six children are raised in this harsh environment, their parents, like all parents, do their best to hang on to hope and look towards the world’s governments to extend peace to one another. Years pass by until no one has seen the sun for 17 years(or more or less depending on the age you want the children to be) for all of the clouds that lay across the horizon. That’s when something changes. These six children find themselves in possession of strange powers that materializes in all sorts of different ways. As it becomes harder to control the powers and stay hidden from public view, they are pushed into contact with each other and are forced to figure out a way to relieve the world of darkness. They are the bringers of light and they will return hope to the broken lands.
*The Mutant Rats Aren’t That Scary
Six months ago, toxic rains fell upon the land. Each droplet held high levels of radioactivity, and whatever happened to survive that initial rainfall began to mutate. Many species of flora and fauna died out to dwindling numbers, while others thrived. Among these thriving creatures most notably were the rats. They became stronger, faster, deadlier, and venomous. One bite from these dog-sized monsters would send humans into a paranoid state of violence, lashing out at everything as though their life depended on it.
After this first rainfall, all the major cities closed themselves off. Massive walls flew into place, and weather domes were quickly constructed overhead. Traffic in and out of these cities were halted, and only small numbers were let in, though none were let out. As the rains continued while the months passed, some cities did better than others. The best city by far was Sarik, a towering metropolis built on a cliffside peninsula, surrounded on three sides by sheer rock drop-offs and waves that raged all year-round. It was technologically and magically advanced, both sciences combined to create high-rises for living, and deep sprawling underground labs for farms and other research. But deep inside, it hid a dark secret.
The toxic rains affected humans too. Most people fell deeply sick, and those who survived didn’t come out unscathed. A small portion of humans developed strange abilities, powers and magic unseen by anyone. Most of these humans hid themselves away, due to the government's propaganda that humans with these abilities were dangerous, infected, and evil. People are disappearing though, vanishing away in the dead of night with signs of forced entry and kidnapping. Those left over, both with abilities and without, are afraid. Some fear the rats, the rain, and abilities. The other people? They fear the government, the scientists, and the laboratories.
    A Fairy’s Tail
Deep in the forest a colony of little fairies make their home. They live inside a great tree that has been hollowed out over many years and filled with little homes, windows, walkways, and stairs. The fairies are a generally peaceful bunch, growing from their gardens and harvesting naturally grown foods. They are far from harmless, however. Within the colony, there is a small group of warriors. These warriors are unlike the rest of the fairies. They have restless spirits, striving for freedom, adventure, and combat. Their duty is to protect the colony from outside threats. One day, an outside threat shows its face.
A large beast appears out of nowhere, a massive, raging monster tramples through the forest to snap its deadly teeth and blast its scorching flames upon the colony. The warriors rally for the fight, but they have no chance. The fairies are small, this beast is large and long, they never see its face, only its snaking body and thick impenetrable scales. It seems hopeless, and fairies are soon to flee their home of a thousand centuries and a savior shows up. A werewolf, just passing through, catches sight of the losing battle and offers their own teeth and claws to fend off the beast.
In the aftermath, the fairy leaders attempt to convince the werewolf to stay and protect them, in case the beast returns, but the werewolf has their own life to live, though they promise, while on their journey, to track down the beast and slay it. The warriors, desperate for a chance at revenge, rally once more, hoping to join the werewolf on the journey, to see the sights and to slay the beast that destroyed their home, but the fairy leaders refuse. They won’t let their warriors abandon their posts as guards of the colony, just for some far-fetched dream. They want to keep them all… all except for one. One fairy warrior is allowed to join the werewolf if they dare, and if they do, the journey will be long and dangerous—deadly.

    2. Sci-Fi
    The Past has History
Our characters lived in the year 50xx. They knew each other, and in fact they were the two most well known figures of their time. They waged war together, head of the human resistance against AI. They were well known throughout history, and to see one without the other was unheard of. With like minded strategy and incredible skills, they combined their strengths to lead humanity to victory over AI, closing down the hive-mind and hindering the growth of false intelligence. But then something happened. Something terrible occurred between these two influential celebrities, and one day the legendary heroes were discovered dead. Nobody knew what had happened, and there was no way to find out. Years passed by, tens, hundreds, until five hundred years later, humanity found itself face to face with another threat. In desperation, the strongest minds of the age came together to search for a solution. Old history books spoke of two legendary figures that single-handedly saved the human race from the now outlawed AI. These two figures had been preserved deep in the archives, their souls and consciousnesses captured and contained. And now, to be brought back. Despite the laws about reawakening and the reanimation of long dead consciousnesses, the rulers of the human world decided that this was something they must do in order for humanity to have a chance against the newest threat. However, things didn’t go how they had hoped. The things that went down between these two left deep wounds that festered until their deaths. Coming back to life healed their physical wounds, but only amplified the wounds of the mind. These two people are forced back into life to save humanity, but can they overcome their past and all that happened between them?
**Remember, this is platonic, whatever we decide upon for being what happened between the two characters it is not romantic. My idea was some sort of betrayal.
    *They Won’t Find Us Here
Hidden somewhere on planet earth, a laboratory operates to create and control new ways to wage war. Human testing is their favorite method of discovery, whether than be attempting to create super-humans, alter DNA, or other various tactics to create better soldiers for fighting. Unfortunately, our characters find themselves on the wrong side of strange technology and become the first successful subjects in the ‘Ant-Man Project’. Now shrunk down to the size of ants, they need to figure out how to survive and escape in a massive world where even ants are a threat upon their lives. Luckily for them, their strength has grown to a proportion similar to that of an ant, they can carry things much heavier than their current tiny weights. They must use their size and intelligence to their advantage to tear apart the lab from the inside out, free other subjects, and find a way to grow back to their regular size.
    Accelerating Human Advancement
AHA, as it’s called, is a well known research facility funded by the governments of the world. Everyone knows about it, everyone loves it. AHA focuses on everything from small inventions to ease every day struggles, to mutating the human genome to create super soldiers for alien warfare. Most of these experiments are well known to the public, advertisements and commercials litter the world, both physical and on the internet. Still, there are some that remain unseen, lurking beneath the radar like a snake lying in wait. Many advertisements call for volunteers. To sign up is to roll the dice. You might land yourself as a subject testing a new harmless drug, or you could get roped into the deepest and darkest conspiracies of human-animal-mutation, consciousness transfers, and generating new and never before seen life.
Our characters are test subjects, having once volunteered, now find themselves face to face with the dark secrets kept by the labs under AHA. What specifically your character was a subject for is up to you, whether it be something plain and harmless or wildly creative. Whatever happened, our characters find each other and decide to team up. At first they’re convinced these dark secrets are run by some evil director, and all they must do is expose the person to the higher ups. When that plan fails, they need to scramble to save their own lives and expose the scam to the entire world before that world turns against them.

    3. Supernatural
    Unbreakable Bond
During the war between humans and beasts, a third party seems to be influencing and backing both sides to encourage the war to last for eternity. With no end in sight, and no chance for a ceasefire or stalemate due to the incredible hatred between peoples, there is no hope for peace. In the middle of combat, right as a human and beast are about to be locked into combat, a bright flash envelopes the both of them and they’re transported far, far away, to a land of peace. Immediately upon regaining their senses, they dive at each other again, the mystery of what had occurred not being enough to hold back their hate, but neither can lay a hand on the other. In fact, the act of attacking the other sends a sharp signal of pain shooting up their arm. Upon recognizing this, the two take a moment to realize where they are and take stock. Neither one is dressed in the armor they had before, and it becomes clear to them both that time, distance, and events had passed since they were on the battlefield. Through further inspection, they both find runes seemingly carved into the flesh of their wrists.
They have been soul-linked, a dark and old form of witchcraft that binds two souls together. They cannot harm each other, nor can they leave each other. And emotional connection is forged, both being able to feel the rage and hate of the other, as well as the deep fear. They must figure out who, or what, has done this, and how they can break it. Or maybe they need to figure out how to stop the war itself.
**Beast can refer to any sort of creature, from Vampires, Werewolves, and other supernatural things, to even anthropomorphic creatures. Anything works!
    Vampire’s Mercy
The country has been ruled by Vampires for centuries, humans and all of creature-kind pressed beneath the reign of blood. Resilient as humans are, none from within have been able to rise above the masses and strike down the rulers. But to the south, a revolution in brewing. The southern country is ruled by humans, and Vampires have been all but eradicated from the lands. These humans have been looking north, rallying their troops, and preparing for an attack that would bring the Vampire Empire to its knees. Unfortunately for them, their strength was overestimated, and the humans found themselves quickly surrounded and crushed. Many died, the rest were taken captive. The human captives were split among prisons across the country, and each was told they were the last one left, in hopes of breaking at least one down to spill the secret on the magical seal that prevented the Vampires from invading south. One of these humans was locked away deep in the dungeons of the palace, where the ruthless leader of the Vampires takes his seat upon the throne. The castle and underlying dungeons are the most secure places in the entire country. From the outside at least. Inside, there lives the Emperor’s son/daughter. This Vampire, who sits next in line to rule if all goes well, takes a particular interest in the human housed below the floors. In hopes to make a legacy as the one to discover the human’s secrets, the Vampire spends an extensive amount of time with the human, talking with the lesser being and attempting to convince it to trust them and to reveal everything in order for the Vampires to defeat the humans once and for all. But as time goes on, it becomes clear that even for a Vampire, it’s difficult to view another creature as a disgusting monster after the false show of empathy becomes real.
**Remember the keyword platonic, this isn’t a love story between a Vampire and a human, I’m sorry. It’s a growth of trust, and alliance eventually leading to the end of a history’s long war, and the rise of empathy.
    The Stray in the Alleyway
The city is controlled by a gang of Werewolves. Everyone knows it, everyone ignores it. The human authorities don’t care as long as the Werewolves don’t eat too many humans, but all other supernatural species are up for grabs. Monster on monster violence runs rampant, and even peaceful species are pulled into the conflict between Werewolf territorial battles. The humans just try to keep their heads down, they ignore the howling at night, they ignore the blood in the alleyways, they ignore the feeble monster cries for help.
Until one Werewolf is on the run for their life. Their pack is after them for some reason, intent on murdering them. They take refuge in an alleyway, injured. Luckily for them, a human passing by takes pity on the poor Werewolf, hiding them in their home, a place relatively safe from the Werewolf gang.
But rescuing the Werewolf isn’t the only reason the human reached out. The human, like many humans, is sick of living near the terrifying Werewolves. They want to get rid of the gang, and, as it stands, the Werewolf isn’t a big fan of them either. So they strike up a deal. The human will shelter the Werewolf in their home, so long as the Werewolf helps them get rid of the gang for good.
    I Would Rather be Dead
A Vampire and a human are good friends. Against all odds, they’ve come to at least an agreement to not kill each other, and have forged an alliance against the monsters of the world. Together, they fight the bloodthirsty Werewolves, dispel ghosts, hunt down serial killers, and stop every type of threat imaginable. All is going well, that is, until the human ends up fatally injured.
Fighting between life and death, the doctors have all said that there’s nothing left to do for the human. Unwilling to lose their best friend and ally, the Vampire gives the human a little bit of their blood, just enough to turn them, and save the human’s life. Unfortunately, the human has a suppressed hatred for the Vampire-kind, only tolerating the one they’ve become friends with.
Upon waking up and discovering their new monstrous desire for human blood, the former-human is outraged. The event causes a deep rift in the friendship, one the former-human never wants to heal. But the Vampire knows that an eternity alone is torture, and as they look down the barrel of an endless solitude, the only thing they can do is try to convince the former-human that they can help. The Vampire can teach them how to survive in a world of supernatural hunters, how to control the bloodlust, and more importantly, how to come to terms with themself and learn to move forward.
    *The Legends Aren’t ‘Real’
Two young adult/teen best friends are obsessed with cryptids/monsters/supernatural creatures. One of them believes more than the other however, and the non-believer is in it to try and keep the believer sane and not fall for every photoshop, edited video, and lie. The non-believer even goes as far as to go off by themself to ‘prove’ to the believer that none of it is real. Unfortunately… things go sideways and the non-believer is attacked and turned into some sort of creature. The non-believer is now terrified that their friend will leave them because they’ve become a monster who… well, couldn’t help themself and might have feasted. Anyway, the non-believer is now trying to hide all the signs of their new monstrous side, while still trying to convince the believer to stop seeking out monsters, though now in fear that they’ll get attacked too. But the believer is an expert at supernatural creatures and very early recognized exactly what the non-believer became, and is now trying to be really respectful of the boundaries(like keeping a Vampire out of direct sunlight, and attempting to discretely get food for their friend so they don’t have to kill people) while also pretending to be completely oblivious, hoping their non-believer friend will open up about what happened and stop with the lies.
It Doesn’t Have to Be This Way
One monster has been surviving for a long time now, and they’ve figured out how to optimize living. They don’t enjoy killing people, but they have to. It’s necessary for their survival, and they would prefer to be alive. Then, they meet a friend. This monster assumes this person is just a normal human, and at first doesn’t want to risk a friendship with someone who might end up a meal later on. But the human is persistent. The human isn’t even a normal human anyway, they’re a monster too, but on top of that, they’ve dedicated their life stopping other monster who kill people. Sometimes that means killing the monster. But above all, this hunter wants to teach as many other monsters as they can that there’s other ways to survive, even as a monster.

    4. Superhero
    A Villain’s Hero Academy
One of the most prestigious hero academies, Shadowing Moon Scholar’s Academy(SMSA), is well known for having some of the strangest patterns of acceptance. They don’t just accept the best of the best, and sometimes it seems the worst of the worst fills its halls. People of all types and backgrounds find themselves standing at the large imposing doors, ushered inside by living shadows. The SMSA isn’t just well known for the strange acceptance and the legacy of brilliant heroes who come from it, but the fact that there is only one man who staffs the entire place. He’s only known by his initials, SM, and his stunning ability to create human replicas out of shadows. Nobody really understands how the power works, but his academy is staffed by these people. They teach the students, clean the grounds, and some even forge faux friendly relationships with the students. The only humans the students are in contact with during their time at the academy are other students, and given the wide range of kids, it’s impossible to know who you might end up being friends with.
There’s something fishy about the school though, underlying messages in classes and a strange turn in every great hero that’s ever graduated. Finding themselves enrolled in this mysterious school, our characters can only rely on themselves and each other in order to survive and uncover what’s really going on. All the while, the students are bombarded with attacks from an unknown source, the entire academy seems to be falling apart around them, and once-heroes and strange villains show up left and right. They’re targeting one group of students in particular, seeking either to recruit or to kill, possibly kidnap or slaughter. The school has turned into their greatest test and nightmare. Is it even possible to stick to your values and remember who you want to be? Maybe the shadows are too strong and they’ll drag you to the dark side before you even know how to master your ability.
    Best Rival Friends
Two best friends are secretly superheroes. No one knows their true identities, not even each other. As superheroes, these two are rivals, always fighting for superiority over the other. Their competition usually keeps the city safe, as no one would risk getting caught up between two superpowered individuals. However, this rivalry starts to take center stage, people pay more and more attention to which hero is ‘better’ than the other, and given the double lives led by these two characters, it’s even starting to put a strain on their civilian lives. These friends would do anything for each other, and since neither one realizes the other hero is their best friend, they keep trying to put on a show to save and protect their friend who they fear is being targeted. The competition spirals out of hand and soon, no one’s paying attention at all anymore to the crime. A new villain is on the rise, but if these heroes are unable to let go of their rivalry, or these two best friends continue to get in each other’s way, that villain might serve to be the thing that tears them apart once and for all.
Might As Well Be the End
The ‘villain’ has had a rough life. Like… really bad. They no longer see any good in the world, only pain. So, they plan to destroy it. If they rid the world of humans, maybe then the earth can be in peace once again. So they try. They fail, of course. They’re stopped by the hero, and the villain(who has been undercover, but isn’t anymore) attempts to hide away in an alley, injured and close to death. The hero(who is also no longer undercover) finds them, and, thinking they’re just a civilian who got caught up in the battle, takes them in to help and heal them. The villain realizes very quickly that it’s the hero, and thinks the hero knows it’s them too. So of course the villain is terrified, and assumes the hero is taking advantage of them and will kill them whenever the hero chooses to. However, the hero is a genuine good person. The hero has had a rough life too, just as bad as the villain’s, and as they get to know each other, the hero might break through the villain’s stormy sky and bring in the light.
    *‘Insignificance’ is Relative
An evil genius villain mastermind is well on their way to controlling the entire world. No one can really stop them, as no can understand at all what in the world they’re doing. Their attacks seem random in every way, and nothing seems to make sense at all. They don’t seem to have a plan, and embody chaotic evil in every way, shape, and form. All of this is well known to a poor random civilian. This civilian is just someone trying to live their life and get by, but this villain is always doing something to mess with them. It’s usually harmless, and the poor civilian isn’t ever in real danger… mostly. This civilian keeps pleading with the villain that they’re ‘insignificant’. They have no shared past, the civilian isn’t secretly overpowered. But maybe it’s this ‘insignificant’ civilian who holds the key to this villain’s random actions.

    5. Medieval
*Note: These can also be placed in a modern setting if so desired.
*We Have to Get Out of Here
The royal has done something. They’re either a prince or a princess, but they’ve done something. Something bad. Something that could get them thrown in prison or exiled or… executed. They don’t want that, so they decide to run. But here’s the thing, their personal guard is their partner in crime, and if the royal is getting imprisoned, the guard is getting executed. It’s the guard’s fault anyway for not keeping the royal in line, right? Either way, the royal would feel really bad if the poor guard suffered for their mistakes, so they take them with them. Now they’re both fugitives, on the run from everyone. And maybe there was another reason the royal took their guard along… the guard would protect them with their life. The guard is loyal to this one royal, not the monarchy, and they know the ins and outs of how the guards are trained, so they know how to evade them. Not to mention, how to survive in the wild, do manual labor, and can teach the royal everything they need to know about sword fighting and everything about the wider world.
Was This Not the Assassin’s Application?
An assassin becomes a royal’s guard. Strangely, the royal doesn’t seem to mind the assassin’s attempts against their life, and is enjoying the chance to live a little beyond regimented schedules and an absolute lack of danger. The truth is, the royal is obsessed with living life on the edge and being an absolute daredevil, that it’s actually scaring the assassin a little. Especially because now they will get punished if they don’t stop the royal from doing all these crazy reckless things. Turns out this assassin is definitely not cut out for this job.
    Hired Best Friend
The royal(prince/princess) is a recluse. They live locked up in their rooms all day, never coming out, not even for meals. Some sort of event traumatized this royal, and nothing will draw them from their quarters. Then one day, a new guard shows up. Unbeknownst to this royal, this guard was hired with the explicit purpose to lure the royal back out and to be their friend. This new guard has no idea how to do this, and has no lack of dislike for the monarchy, but there’s so much riding on this poor guard that they’re forced to do their best. See, this guard is a trickster. They’ve been playing pranks on the royalty and guards for their entire life, and had finally gotten caught. If this guard can’t succeed, their life is over. This is their last chance, and they’re determined to coax this royal out of that ‘stupid box of solitude’.

More plots will be added in the future!

Open Worlds
About the Worlds:

These are all worlds that I have in some way already established as open worlds. There are no plots tied to these, but a plot can be created within them. These are also open to being played in a slice of life style as well, or more casually. I’ve broken them up by genre, and some are more in depth and niche while others contain just about anything imaginable. They’re all pretty long however, and there’s no need to read any of these at all. They’re just baseline options.

  • Avians and Birdfolk
This is a world filled with three different types of people, the Wingless, the Avians, and the Birdfolk. The Wingless are just your average humans, they can’t fly, they look like humans and they act like humans. They are the ‘least’ among the three peoples and mostly live their lives as farmers, traders, or merchants. Rarely are they able to find higher positions in society, and if they do, it’s usually through connections with an Avian or Birdfolk.
Birdfolks are a totally separate species from Wingless and Avians, they are not the hybrid between. Birdfolk have many traits and similarities of birds, such as feathery hair, talons or claws, and sometimes heads and faces that reflect their bird species. The biggest difference between a Birdfolk and an Avian is the lack of wings. Birdfolk do not have wings, though many of them are able to learn how to morph their arms into wings. Avians have a set of wings as well as the usual arms. Avians also possess talons in place of feet, and often have feathery hair. They tend to not have heads of birds, though their face structure tends to be narrower and sharper. Avians are generally viewed as the highest among the people, holding most if not all positions of power. This world is ruled by an Avian Council that votes unanimously on laws, prosecution, beliefs, and the order of life. They are called the Avian High Council, and there are many smaller councils that all answer to this one. There is only one Wingless Council with a group of seven hand-picked Wingless to represent the entire population, as well as four Birdfolk and three Avians. There are in turn seven Birdfolk councils - one for each region - that are each comprised of six Birdfolk and one Avian. There are also seven Lower Avian Councils, each comprised of three Avians. The three Mediator Councils, each comprised of four Avians and three Birdfolk, are in charge of ensuring every other council follows the rules, and are the ones who decide whether or not something is important enough to be passed onto the High Avian Council. Details about the High Avian Council are kept secret.
These societies prioritize learning and academics only for the high nobles and lords. Otherwise the emphasize is on conformity and being one within the flock. Most Avian cities are on mountain tops and trees, with the lower sectors for Birdfolk, and the ground for the Wingless.
Punishments usually come in the form of being held in captivity for a certain amount of time. For Birdfolk and Wingless, higher and repeated crimes only result in the extension of this time. For an Avian, the punishments become drastic. The highest form of punishment an Avian can receive is called Grounding, or being Grounded. This form of punishment is carried out through the clipping of an Avian’s flight feathers, and prevents them from flying, casting them in the lowest rankings, sometimes even below the Wingless. A Grounded Avian is a creature of utmost disgust, seen as less than even the dirt beneath the Wingless’ feet. They are often shunned and cast out. The length of punishment varies, but the shortest is always until the Avian’s next molt, when their feathers will fall and out and grow back in whole and fresh. If the punishment is extended beyond one molting time, the Avian will be located soon before their next molt and held in captivity until the new feathers have come in and have been re-clipped. They are then released to wander the world or find a place to hide away until they can resume life as a proper Avian. Any Avian who has been Grounded once retains a tarnished reputation, and can never rise above their previously held position of status. Therefore, Birdfolk and Wingless are often able to commit worse crimes with less of an long-lasting impact, and have resulted in the stereotype of Wingless and some Birdfolk being less civilized and ignorant. Many Avian view Wingless as docile lesser beings. Some Avian take a liking to one or more Wingless in particular and treat them kindly. This can benefit the Wingless in opening up opportunities for higher jobs and job variety. The lower living Birdfolk are vastly different from higher living Birdfolk, and there is constant strife among the Birdfolk species.
    The Reign of Shifters
The general population is made of human-animal shapeshifters. People possess animalistic characteristics and have the ability to shift into animal forms. The world is ruled by various families, each biome led by one family, usually a predatory family. As well as these shifters, there are non-sentient animals as well, the creatures that predatory shifters usually eat. Despite eating another shifter being a high crime no matter where one is, many predators use threats and power to maintain control. The prey-type shifters are always raised with utmost caution and often with plenty of combat and training skills in order to survive if ever they come in contact with cult-like groups of predators seeking a quick snack. There are no large scale governments, though there is said to be a dragon-shifter who rules over the entire world. Most families form their own alliances and connections, both within their species and across species lines. Each species of shifter has their own traditions, lifestyles, and survival strategies according to their corresponding animal.
    It’s a Small World Afterall
This world is tiny. Everything in it is about 10 times smaller than Earth. Meaning, someone from Earth or Earth equivalent would be a giant to these people, whereas if these people came to Earth, they would essentially be little toys. Any fantasy type person/creature could be put into this world for various different types of plots. For this world, all the tiny people are humans with no powers. It is essentially just Earth sized down. It can be discussed what stage of advancement this little Earth is at, and whether or not there is technology.
What a Big Big World We Live in
This world is massive. Everything in it is about 10 times bigger than Earth and Earth equivalents. Therefore, anyone from Earth or an Earth equivalent would be tiny, like a toy, and anyone from this world would be giant. Anyone from this giant world is a normal human, whereas anyone from a fantasy world or other could be put in here to be smol. Technology levels can be discussed for this world too.

These are all major works in progress and I fully intend to add more worlds as time goes on…
