PROLOGUE

Within the Heavens above is a gathering of gods. These gods come from different realms banded together by a single god whose power is above all else. Every century passed, the gods gather around to make judgement of whether or not humanity will continue to live or perish. For the most part, they have been voting to let them live, but this time, it is different...and especially more grim.

Standing in the middle of the gathering, in front of rows and rows of gods of different pantheons, is a bearded man of musculature holding two signs; one with a circle and the other with an X.

Zeus
-Thunder God King of the Olympians-

"Today marks another judgement to see if we let mankind continue to thrive or meet their end. With you are signs that represents your decision. The majority of votes will result in either sparing them or not. My fellow gods, let us now cast our votes!" Zeus spoke and the gods raises their signs of their decision...with the very majority of them voting for humanity's fall. Some of them even spoke about their decision.

Odin
-All-Father and King of the Aesir-

"Truly we can all agree that the humans have grown troublesome lately, and for that I believe that they should be better be off in the dust."

Hera
-Mother Goddess and Queen of the Olympians-

"I agree with Odin. The more we let humans live, the more cumbersome they will become. Wars, disease, famine, corruption, all of that has gotten all of our nerves. They must be eradicated."

It is by these words alone, and their experiences as well, that has lead to the gods' decision to end humanity once and for all.

"And so it has been decided." Says Zeus "After centuries of agreeing to let humanity live, it is now time for their end to come."

"I OBJECT!"

A loud voice echoes throughout the meeting as a figure steps up to the middle ground where Zeus stands. "Hyper God! Are you denying the gods' decision? All of us have come to a vote that humanity will be destroyed, and there is nothing for you to do anything about that." Zeus spoke. "There is...another way." The Hyper God said "Zeus, and all of the other gods, what do you think about letting humanity have their say to their fate? Does the gods alone be the one to make the decision?" Those questions make the gods discuss amongst themselves, but only a few know what he is talking about. "Hyper God, are saying that we should have them speak to us...in Armageddon?" Zeus asked. "...Yes." The Hyper God answered, much to the shock of many gods.

"Ridiculous! No mortal has the power to kill us gods. Armageddon, or whatever "super clause" you've wrote in the Divine Constitution, is nothing but a useless struggle to humans to have their lives spared by us thru combat! Are you saying that we should let them fight us to prove that they are worth living?" Zeus is visibly both baffled and angered by this, as well as the other gods. "To tell you the truth, mortals have grown much stronger as time passes. If it weren't for all of you passing to have them live, then they could have not reached the level of strength that compares themselves to all of you...or maybe, beyond all of you." The Hyper God says, irritating both Zeus and some gods. "You mean to tell us that humans are becoming strong enough to deal with us? If it is Armageddon you want, then so be it! Within the next week, humanity's final struggle with the gods will commence! Whoever's side with the most victories will have their fates sealed. Gather the most strong, Hyper God, you going to need it." Zeus spoke.

And thus, the gathering has been adjourned.

As the Hyper God makes his way to his throne room, he is greeted by his wife, who has heard of everything in the gathering.
"Is it true that Armageddon is going to happen? What if humanity loses?" She spoke of worry. "There is no need to fear. I believe that mankind has already have the strength to take on the gods. For that, I will search for humanity's greatest from different worlds and beyond and hope that they will succeed. Now, I must pass these invitations to those worthy of taking on the gods." The Hyper God assures.

After that exchange, he proceeds to send the invitations to mankind's greatest warriors. Within a week, these people have prepared themselves for what will they about to face. When that time finally come, they, along with their loved ones, are transported into the Hyper God's throne room, known as the Thousand Steps Throne due to said throne sitting on a high pillar surrounded by a flight of steps that takes about a thousand steps to reach.

It is here that they have come face to face with the Hyper God himself.

The Discoverer
-Hyper God, One Above The Gods-

"Kalam-Elm-Valam, I am here. Greetings, mankind's greatest, I am the Hyper God. I am The Discoverer, observer of the universe and beyond. I have brought you all here for a reason. This involves a situation where you may live or die. The gods have decided to end your existence, but I have managed to make a gambit by pitting you against them in a series of bouts that will decide your fate. I have also blessed you with the capability to take them on, all you have to do is to act wisely. I know that some of you have your doubts. If you wish to talk, now is the time. We don't want to keep the gods waiting. All will be set on Valhalla, home of the einherjar. Now speak your concerns. Don't worry, I do love a good conversation."

Link, Hero of the Wild!
Legend_of_Zelda__Breath_of_the_Wild__Large.jpg-1024x587.jpeg
Prologue

It had been several weeks since Calamity Ganon was felled by Link. The Master Ssword was at rest, Hyrule Castle was under reconstruction, and Link himself was living at a house he recently purchased from a group of carpenters. It was 9:05 AM, and Link had grabbed a hunters bow, and his quiver of arrows. He had just a pair of pants on, as he was trying to improve his survival skills as a person. He also grabbed his Forest Dweller's sword for in case he ran into trouble. At the door, he looked back to the Shiekah Slate resting on the table. He never used it since he saved Hyrule from the Calamity. It probably wont be seeing any future use either....

9:20 AM
Link was crouched and moving silently as his eyes were focused on his target. A Deer, a buck to be exact. It was grazing and did not notice him approach. Link slowly brought his bow up, and notched an arrow. He slowly pulled the string back, as the perfect shot was in line with the target-

"AAAAAAAGH"
The scream distracted Link as he flinched, the arrow released and flew past the deer, which caused it to run away. Link swiftly got up and ran in the direction of the scream, trying to see who caused it. He soon came across a man, with a sack on his back and wearing running shorts and a tank top, Trapped against a tree surrounded by several Lizafoes, armed with Lizal Boomerangs.
"G-Get away from me!"

An arrow struck a Lizafoe, causing it to explode into shadows from one hit, as Link ran in and made swift work on the remaining Lizafoes. Once the last reptilian monster was slain, Link put his sword away.
"Thank you!" The man said, before realizing something. "You're Link correct? Princess Zelda wanted me to hand you this!"
The man took an envelope out of his bag and handed it to link, before turning around and waving. "I'm off to deliver the rest of the mail then!" As he ran off.

10:00 AM

Link returned to his house, putting away his gear as he looked over the letter the princess sent.

Link, Hyrule needs you once again! A stranger came earlier this week to tell me that the kingdom is gonna be destroyed unless a champion from our world came to fight in his tournament! You are our only champion remaining! We need you to save us!

Link put the letter off to the side and went to his bedroom, and opened a cabinet, as his Hero's Tunic, Knight's Leggings, and the Hylian shield was hanging in there, with the Royal Guard Bow and a quiver of strange arrows. Link got dressed up with his equipment on him, save for a sword, as he went back to the front room to grab the Shiekah Slate and put it in the holder on his pants. He was gonna need it. He then made his way to the Lost Woods, to grab the Master Sword.

-------

With the Hyper God

Link had arrived first, escorting the princess to the throne room. The Master Sword was sheathed on his back, as Zelda looked to Link. "You don't need to be silent. If you have anything to say, you can do so. It concerns me that you never spoke at all."
Link was standing there, as the Hyper God said to speak about anything that may be of an issue.

"I do have something to ask, What happens if I lose?"

Two hours before contact.

A man lay on a cliff in a very mountainous area of istanbul. Below him, a sparse compound of mostly stick huts and mud sprawled beneath him. From below there was no noticing the figure as he was concealed by many bushes and foliage he had moved there to make his own hut which looked no different than the rest of the scenery.

If anyone were nearby, which noone was, they would hear him humming Katie Perry's Firework to himself as he scanned the compound through the scope of a fifty caliber sniper rifle. It had taken him days to discern who the cult's leader was. All the men were identical, broad shouldered and gruff looking with thick dark beards. It made it hard to discern the leader until their nightly bonfires were held. It was then that the sniper noticed one man doing more of the talking at night, with most men in the group gripping his every word. Dead givaway.

Laughingstok had memorized his patterns, chosen his time to strike, and was awaiting the man to come out to meet his fate in the morning sun today. Laughingstok hated killing normal humans. It was so boring. So predictable. So vulnerable they were, it required almost nothing of him to stalk and kill any unpowered human on the planet.

A loud thunderous sound echoed over the mountains as he pulled the trigger, and he was already taking apart his rifle to stow away by the time the sound subsided into the distance. A woman screamed so loud at the cult leader's body dropping to the ground that the entire compound was surely now awake. It would be mere days before the drifters and societal rejects the man's personality attracted continued their broken journeys to elsewhere, as is so often the case with cults. As easily disbanded as they are formed.

"Good shot," said a voice. Mystical it sounded, alien. It made Stok jump for the first time in years. He very rarely encountered the unexpected, and the glimmering form of a man silhoetted in brilliant light stood before him where he was sure he sensed no life a moment before.

Laughingstok made movements quick into his thick parka and drew both his sidearms. He did not speak. He had not been caught off guard like this in some time.

"Not that those would do anything to me without use of your abilities, but I am not here to fight you Jason. I am here to invite you to fight some others." The being spoke cooly and without emotion.

Jason slowly lowered his
weapons.

"No jobs for free."

"Is existence itself payment enough?"

"... I have to kill a god again dont I?"

"Many." Said the angelic figure, forming into a large doorway of light.

"Come along."

"Alright, but you're telling my supervisor."

-------------------------------------------

In the hyper god's throne room Stok remained silent until after Link spoke, having arrived moments after the hero. Stok thought he recognized him from a videogame he played as a child, but shook off the thought. Rediculous.

"How is catering being handled because I just got pulled from a four day stakeout and could REALLY use a burger." He said, talking straight away after Link and giving the Hyper God no time to get an answer in before.

"Good grief." Jotaro sighed as he finished reading a note that was sent to him. The writing seemed really fancy, but that wasn't what stood out the most. What interested him was the part about humanity's fate being decided in a fighting tournament. "Guess I'll tell the old man and see what he thinks."

One flight to Madagascar later, Jotaro found old Joseph on a jungle expedition. It had been two weeks since the Stardust Crusaders had defeated Dio and went their separate ways.

"Huh? What do you mean, the fate of humanity?" Joseph asked, taken aback. "Where is this coming from all of a sudden? Didn't we just save humanity two weeks ago?!"

"Yeah, it's not like evil gives you a few years' cooldown period. But I have to admit, I agree. It's pretty strange for something like this to happen out of the blue. But you don't have to take my word for it." He pulled the note out of his pocket and handed it to Joseph. "See for yourself."

Joseph read it through. "This is..." his eyes widened in bewilderment. "OH MY GOOOOD!!" He roared. It was so loud he even made the birds in the trees scatter.

"Jeez old man."

"Jotaro, do you know what this is?! I've seen writing like this before, in an old crypt. It's angelic!"

"Angelic? Tell me you're joking. Are you on something right now gramps?"

"This is no time for jokes Jotaro! This is the real deal, I'm sure of it! An angel sent you this message!"

Just then, the two started to shine bright white and gold before they completely vanished. They found themselves standing in some kind of grand stadium, in the spectator region. They couldn't believe what they were seeing.

"OH NOOOO!" Joseph boomed. "This must be where the tournament is taking place!"

Right next to them, Joseph and Jotaro saw more flashing lights. Holy and Polnareff had appeared right after they did.

"Mom?" Jotaro gasped.

"Holy?! Polnareff?! What are you two doing here?!" Joseph yelled.

"I don't know daddy! I was just ironing Jotaro's clothes and suddenly..." She had forgotten the iron was in her hand and dropped it to hug her son. "Jotaro! You're here! I was so worried!"

"YAAAAAAAAHHHH!!" Joseph let out a monstrous howl as the iron dropped right on his foot and burned him. He jumped around like a crazed baboon.

"Sacrebleu! Joseph, are you OK?!" Polnareff asked as he sent out Chariot. Joseph's shoe had caught fire!

"AAAAAHHHH! OOOOH MY GOOOOODD!! I'M ON FIRE! HOOOOLY SHIIIIIIT!!"

Polnareff used chariot's sword to cut the parts of shoe and pants that were on fire and flung them in the air before slicing them so fast that the flames vanished and the scraps of fabric were nothing but ash.

"Man, that was a close one!" Polnareff huffed.

"Good grief..." Jotaro sighed.

"Daddy! Are you OK?!" Holy jumped on him.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHH! MY FOOT!" He cried as Holy stepped on the same foot that got burned.

"Oops! I'm so sorry!" She stepped away, fawning over his owie.

Meanwhile, Avdol and Kakyoin found them as well. "There you all are!" Avdol greeted.

"Avdol? Kakyoin?" Polnareff had to double take.

"In the flesh!" Kakyoin laughed. He hug bumped Polnareff.

"But how..?"

"We followed the shouting of course! Hahaha ha!" Avdol grinned. Joseph blushed in embarrassment.

"But... Kakyoin, the old man saw you die. How are you standing here?" Jotaro asked.

"Yeah! That's right! Dio punched a hole right through you didn't he?" Joseph added.

"Actually, it's really strange and not a long story. You see, right in my final moments, before I could actually die, I was transported here. I was put on life support and nursed back to health almost immediately. It's bizarre I know, but right as I was on the brink of death I was brought back. I don't know why, but I happened to find Avdol here today while I was wandering around the place."

"It was the same for me. Right as Vanilla Ice hit me with his stand, I was also transported here. I don't know how or why, but someone saved my life in the blink of an eye. I was in so much pain, and my arms and legs were cut off but they managed to install these cybernetic limbs. They're so state of the art!" He showed everyone his metallic hands and wiggled his fingers while they ooh'd and ahh'd. "This place is so fancy and polished, I've never seen anythink like this!" Avdol chimed.

"I see! That reminds me... I can't thank you enough for revealing the secret of Dio's stand! If it weren't for you shooting that clock, Kakyoin, Jotaro here wouldn't have beat that bastard!"

"Yeah, we owe you one, Kakyoin. Thanks for taking one for the team." Jotaro said as he tipped his cap.

"I have to say the same! You were all so brave out there, men!" Polnareff said proudly.

"Ahaha, you too Polnareff!" Joseph pat him on the back.

"So, now what?" Jotaro said bluntly, bringing everyone back to the problem at hand. They all nodded and put on their serious faces, except for Holy, who had no idea what was going on.

"Hmmm..." they all mumbled in unison.

"Can the powers of Ohma Zi-O...Only destroy?"

"Because destruction...Must come before creation."

Those were the words said to me by my future self, conferring with me about my decision to change the world with Ohma's powers within this darkened throne room. The decision that I, myself had to. I want to turn it all back. Back to when I started. Back to when I was naive and without this pain.

This pain...Of being the only one who made it through the final fight.

latest.png

"Very impressive, m'lord." The words of a grey scarfed man, clad in brown holding an open tome snapped me to the reality of a bleak cityscape, littered with rubble and fire. "The world has been saved." He spoke, closing his tome with a loud clap. This man is Woz. A servant of mine, who had once told me of my destiny to become the king that stands before him.

latest.png

A man clad in black and gold. Watches adorn my arms and chest. Straps of metal clock line my chestplate down to my loins. A golden variant of it sashed over my shoulder. Golden shoulderplates, with black feathers jotting out of it. My head clad in gold. Its face, black, with red visors spelling out the word 'RIDER' in katakana. Two golden clockhands adorn the middle of the visor, jotting outwards like antennae.

"I pledge my loyalty to you once more." Woz knelt on one knee, bowing to my supreme power. "The world is yours to reign over. Now and forevermore." He proclaimed, hoping to please me and accept my role as this world's ruler, but...

"That won't be happening." I gave my answer, shaking my head.

"Why so?" In response, Woz stood back up, staring at me with a puzzled look. "You've finally become the all-powerful ruler." He gave me an excellent point. This is my dream, isn't it? To become a King. The Greatest, most Kindest King there is.

Yet...How did I get here? Just what had I given up just to get here? If it weren't for them, I would've been lost in my own loneliness, accepting to rule with the iron fist I saw within my future. It's them that saved the world, not me. Geiz, Tsukuyomi, and every other Rider whose power I've used.

I don't deserve to rule like this. Not when no one else is around to see me through my reign. That's why...

"I'm going to tear down this time and space."

I'll rewrite history, and do it all over again. This time...In a world where my friends stand by my side, helping me to achieve my goal of being a true king. Besides...

The hands of time only moves forward from this moment on. Even with it seems like it's turning back.

unknown.png

Channeling Ohma's power, my body glowed gold. From my feet, I send a wave of temporal energy all over the world. Golden leaves fly high up into the skies. A beautiful sight, even for me.

Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain on my core. My vision suddenly fills with strange, static. My vision distorted, like the feed of a television glitching out. The glow stopped, forcing me to fall on my knees. Drained of my power, I try to catch my breath on the ground, the sound of plastic clattering on the ground seemed to echo on my head as I knelt there.

What...Just happened? It felt like...History itself interrupted me from rewriting it. Ohma's supreme powers denied me of my chance of starting over. But why? No one in the worlds should've rivaled him!

"My lord, are you alright?" Woz' voice cried out in worry, kneeling near me. "This...Shouldn't have happened. Who did this?" He pondered aloud soon taking notice of the watch that fell near me. I hear the sounds of paper crinkling as I sat on the ground, seeing Woz holding an empty Ridewatch as well as some kind of letter, plated in golden leaves.

"Woz...?" I asked my servant, who immediately glanced at me in alarm. "Where did that come from?"

"My lord, it's..." Woz gulped, having read the contents of the letter. "It seems your wishes cannot be granted, I'm afraid." He handed me the letter for me to read, which caused my eyes to widen.

This letter...Is from the Gods themselves, asking me to fight them for the sake of the world of the Riders. It seems the hands of time forced me to live with this guilt, forcing me to fight for the sake of this world.

I have a week to prepare for all of this.

...

I should get back home first.

EC30B6HU0AYfcBT.jpg

"Today's the day, huh..." My uncle, the owner of an antique clock and repair shop spoke to me as I sat down on the dining table with Woz. "I admit, it feels strange that I have to watch you risk yourself for the world again. Especially after what happened to you and your friends." He stated, cooking up today's breakfast.

"Yeah...Looks like the stakes are bigger than last time. I get to be one of the few who has to fight for mankind's sake." I nodded, staring at a strange, black ridewatch in my hand. Last week, I had the intentions of rewritting history with Ohma Zi-O's power. However, in the middle of my rewritting, I was suddenly drained of Ohma's power, putting it inside a Ridewatch alongside a letter with paper made out of pure, leaf gold. The letter told me to prepare to fight for the sake of humanity, and my world. Here's hoping that I get Ohma's power back if I get back safely.

"Well, whatever the case, I hope we get to come home safely together." Uncle says, soon coming out of the kitchen, serving me the food he had cooked. Simple bacon, eggs, and toast from the toaster. Butter prepared on the side. "You're my only nephew, after all." He smiled warmly, sitting in front of me, "Besides, your watches might need repairs in between matches, you know."

We chuckle a bit, cracking a smile. Even after he had found out that I was risking my life in the past year, he never told me to stop fighting and stay home safe. He told me to give it my all, and save the world...Like a king.

We soon ate breakfast together, probably my last one before I face off against the very Gods themselves. Kind of a big leap, don't you think? I'm only human. How can I hope stand up against the beings that made mankind...?

As I ponder that, Woz soon stood up just as I finished breakfast.

"It's time." He says, looking up.

"What is?" As my Uncle asked, the scenery suddenly changed. From the brightly lit dining room of my uncle's shop to a large throneroom, decorated regally. In front of us was a flight of stairs with over a thousand steps leading up a tall pillar in which a throne sits. There, a bizarre looking man, clad in white and gold stood. His head appeared to be some kind of casing housing a pearl. This caused my Uncle to suddenly gulp in surprised, falling onto his buttocks. "W-woah!" He yelped, looking up the stairs. "It's huge...!"

"How did we...?"

"It seems that we've finally come face to face with the letter's sender, m'lord." Woz stated, staring at the hyper god as I help up my uncle, rubbing his buttocks, groaning in pain. "The Hyper God. The one who took away Ohma's power." He explained, just as the Hyper God started to greet them.

The Hyper God is also known as The Discoverer, an observer of universes, much like Tsukasa and Kaito, Decade and Diend respectively. He explained that this tournament is a matter of life and death where the Gods had decided to end everything in existence. He says that he managed to give us a chance to change this by fighting against them, and the Hyper God had blessed us with the capability to defeat them. He then opened the floor for questions.

340.png

"Sounds like a good time to ask about Ohma, don't you think?" A familiar voice spoke beside me, causing me to jolt for a bit, surprised to see him yet again. The man who was clad in a black suit and a magenta colored shirt underneath, carrying around a strapped camera, in which he immediately took a picture of the spiral staircase of the throne room.

"T-Tsukasa-san! Where did you come from?" I yelped, pondering how he snuck up on me.

"That's rude, considering your little servant friend invited us." Another one appeared behind Tsukasa, clad in a white coat, holding a peculiar blue gun. Daiki Kaito...DiEnd. "I even brought an interested friend." He motioned behind him, stepping aside to see another familiar face. One that I had fought so many times. A man clad in a red and black varsity jacket, a black shirt underneath, his arms crossed, glaring at me.

"Hiryu..."

"..." He simply stood in bitter silence, clicking his tongue and sighing. "As much as it's fun to watch you die, it won't be satisfying if somebody does it before me." Hiryu spoke, approaching me and grabbing my shirt's collar. "You better win." His grip is a bit shaky, almost as if he's...Concerned.

"...Of course." I smiled, nodding, "I'll be fine." Hiryu released me afterwards, returning to crossing his arms as I turn back to the Hyper God posing my question. "Before you pulled me here for this, I had the power of all Riders as well as power to shape and destroy time itself. Why did you take that power from me if you need me to defeat Gods?"

With Ohma's power, I could easily make do of this bout with the gods. Every Rider's power is a power that's so overwhelming.

"I do have something to ask, What happens if I lose?"

"You die. Your body will crumble into dust and your soul will be sent to Hell where you will rot. The gods find it a fitting punishment for going against them, but not before they get the chance to mutilate your corpse and mock your loved ones. Though...there are gods who can go way beyond just mocking you, and they're not pretty." The Discoverer answered, turning his sights to Princess Zelda before giving his attention to the other.

"How is catering being handled because I just got pulled from a four day stakeout and could REALLY use a burger."

"The staff of the arena will be the ones to provide with you supplements before your fight. Just a heads-up though, they may look very unusual, but they are delicious regardless."

"Before you pulled me here for this, I had the power of all Riders as well as power to shape and destroy time itself. Why did you take that power from me if you need me to defeat Gods?"

"Because I've noticed, and I fear that your powers may break the rules of Armageddon. Specifically, no outside help, even if it is your own powers. They don't take kindly to cheaters. Anymore? Come on now, the gods might get impatient, also I don't want my wife to get worried sick with you. I've told her that you are the most interesting of the bunch. Also, I do fear that some gods, or rather goddesses, might suddenly get smitten by your good looks."

Jotaro's party explored more of the area and looked for an attendant to speak with. "We gotta find some answers about all this. Who can we speak to?" Joseph asked.

"The letter mentioned something about a hypergod... sounds a little on the nose, but it seems he's on our side. That's the one we should ask."

"Huh? Go to this hypergod directly?" Polnareff asked.

"Sure, why not?" Jotaro led the gang to the hypergod and they saw other contestants talking to him. Jotaro spoke up. "Hey, hypergod was it? What's going on here? Why are we fighting on humanity's behalf? What's the deal?"

BILLY BATSON

Billy Batson.
Shazam.
Earth's Mightiest Mortal.
With the amazing power of six gods of antiquity.
Then the Gods turned their back on humanity.
Their action rippled across creation.

In that instant, Shazam's connection to his gods faltered.

The Vasquez Foster Home
Home to Billy Batson and his family

"Kids! Dinner!" Rosa Vasquez shouted up, standing at the foot of the stairs. Billy and his fosters siblings, Mary, Freddy, Darla, Eugene and Pedro came barrelling down the stairs as they all raced towards the kitchen. They joined Rosa at the kitchen table just as Victor took the lasagne out of the oven.

"Oh my god! We love lasagne!" Darla screamed at the top of her lungs.

"That sure looks good, honey." complimented Rosa.

"It's Billy's favourite. I thought we'd celebrate his one-year anniversary of being part of the family!" Victor served the lasagne out before taking a seat himself at the table. "So in honour of that, we'll start family talk with you, Billy. Anything exciting happen today?"

For the last few days, Billy had spent as much time as possible training with Merokee as he attempted to familiarise himself with the new powers granted to him by the Seven Spiritual Powers. Although they were similar to his old powers, Merokee stressed to Billy that he couldn't afford to become complacent. With these new powers came new limits, and Billy had to know exactly what he was doing if he hoped to stop Armageddon. He just hoped Merokee's guidance and training had been enough.

"No, not really." Billy said, evasively.

"Okay..." Victor felt that Billy was hiding something but he didn't push the issue. He turned his attention elsewhere. "Darla, what about you?"

-----
(After dinner)

After everyone had finished eating, Billy and his siblings cleaned the table and washed the dishes before heading back upstairs.

"A year ago, Billy wouldn't even look at the others. Now look at him, Rosa. The leader of the pack!" Victor placed his arm around Rosa and kissed her on the cheek. She smiled.

"He's a good kid, Victor. They all are."

As the siblings got to the landing, Mary grabbed Billy's arm and pulled him to one side. "We need to tell Victor and Rosa." There was a serious tone in her voice.

"What?" Billy was caught off guard by Mary's suggestion. Having overheard the two talking, Freddy appeared from behind and began admonishing Mary.

"Superhero rule number one! Don't endanger your parents!"

"There already in danger, Freddy!" rebuked Mary. Her outburst drew the attention of the others and they marched over as well. "It's Armageddon and we have no idea what we're up against. This might be the end... for all of us."

"Victor and Rosa aren't wizards, Mary. How are they going to help?" Billy asked.
Pedro nodded his head in agreement with Billy.

"Plus, they would never let us go." raised Eugene.

"That, too." acknowledged Pedro.

"I don't know but they deserve to know what's going on. They're our family, Billy."

"We can't. It'll only make them worry."

"But, Billy--" Mary pleaded.

"I'll think of something else." declared Billy, attempting to put his foot down on the matter. Mary on the other hand would have none of it.

"Victor! Rosa!" Mary shouted, as she rushed back downstairs. Billy quickly realised what Mary was planning to do and gave pursuit, hoping to stop her before she could do anything but Mary beat him to the kitchen where Victor and Rosa were having a conversation.

"Mary?" Rosa said, turning towards Mary with a concerned expression on her face.

"You might as well say the magic word, Billy. I'm telling Victor and Rosa everything." Mary's arms were crossed in front of her chest and Billy could tell from her expression that she was deadly serious.

"Magic word?" Rosa asked, confused.

Victor looked at Billy.
"What's the magic word?"
Billy knew the game was up. There was no way out of it now. If he didn't tell them, he knew Mary would anyway. He let out a defeated sigh.

"THUNDER!" Billy exclaimed. A brilliant starburst filled the room and where Billy once stood, now stood Captain Thunder.

"Do you see that?! HAHAHAHA!" Victor remarked, jumping up and down excitedly. Rosa hunched over and grabbed Victor for support.

"I think I need to sit down."

"Do you realize what this means, honey?" Rosa couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"That I'm dreaming? I ate bad fish?" Victor's eyes were fixed firmly on Captain Thunder.

"This means one of our foster kids is a freakin' superhero!"

"Let me try and explain..." said Thunder.

-----
(A long explanation later...)
"You have to trust me."

"Setting aside the fact you kept this whole superhero business secret, we do trust you, Billy... But if we're all in as much trouble as you say, we need to... I don't know, call someone." Victor said, anxiously.

"I won't be alone. Merokee said that the Great Spirit has chosen several champions from across the Multiverse to combat Armageddon." Thunder said, attempting to put their minds at ease.

"Then why not just leave it to them? You're just a boy, Billy. You've still got your whole life ahead of you." implored Rosa.

"Not if I don't do something now." Thunder put his hand on Victor's shoulder. "All I've ever wanted was a family and thanks to all of you, I finally have one. I'm willing to do anything if it means protecting my family." Victor placed one arm around Rosa and held her tightly.

"We... understand."

(The Present)

Thousand Steps Throne

Billy and his siblings were transported by Merokee to a large and impressive throne room. In the centre of the room was a throne sitting on a high pillar surrounded by a flight of stairs with almost countless steps. On the throne sat a bizarre looking individual, dressed in white and gold.
Merokee bowed in its presence. "O, Great Spirit... your aged servant, Merokee has prepared his champion."

The strange individual introduced himself as the Hyper God and explained to everyone in attendance that the gods had decided to end humanity's existence, but he had managed to persuade them to give humanity a chance to prevent this, by pitting them against the god's in a tournament that would ultimately decide their fate. He also mentioned that he had granted each of them the power to take them on, all they had to was use it wisely.

He then asked them if anyone had any questions or concerns. Billy took the opportunity and raised his hand.
"Uh... Mr. Hyper God, sir? I have a question. Why are the gods seeking to end our existence? They were my allies once, they even granted me their power. What's changed?"

"Hey, hypergod was it? What's going on here? Why are we fighting on humanity's behalf? What's the deal?"

"Do you want to live? Or would you let the gods do as they have decided? Surely you wouldn't want to see yourself, your family, friends, and even your future going down by divine punishment won't you?"

"Uh... Mr. Hyper God, sir? I have a question. Why are the gods seeking to end our existence? They were my allies once, they even granted me their power. What's changed?"

"Don't you know what the gods truly feel about you and the rest of humanity? Nothing, they see you as nothing but their playthings, but yet there are those who truly cares, but that's just only the minority. Because mankind has become more and more corrupted as time passes, they think it is now time to wipe everything away. Of course, I wouldn't let them have their way. I wished to fight, but then the last time a god drew arms against another almost completely destroyed the world, and so I had to make a law forbidding violence against fellow gods. But enough chatter."

The Discoverer gets up from his throne and walks over to the edge. He jumps down, slowly descending like a feather until he touches the floor. "I must give you a heads-up before you fight. Be wary when fighting them. If, let's just say, you go up against the god of the seas, don't expect him to have powers limited to water magic. No, there is more than that, and that applies to all of the gods. A god of love? More than charms. A god of wisdom? More than high intelligence. Each god is like a snowflake; they're the same, but their patterns are different. No two war gods are ever the same, and the same can be said to the top gods. Of course, I myself am on a different level of divinity." He said as he walks over to the large double doors, passing by the participants. Once there, he puts his hands on the doors and opens them to reveal a rainbow path to a large arena not too far away.

"Over there is the Valhalla Arena. That is where Armageddon will take place. Come follow along now. The gods are expecting a good show...if you can provide at least. We can still chat while on the way." The Discoverer said as he makes his way to the arena, expecting the participants to follow him.

"That's not what I'm asking." Jotaro cut through his questions. "Divine punishment for what? Why is someone in charge of deciding whether humans all live or die? Are you saying some punk ass gods can just end us because they want to?"

Zelda spoke up.
"Mr Hyper God, surely the golden goddesses and Hylia were not wishing for humanities destruction!"

Link looked to Zelda and back to the God above Gods. "Zelda has a point. How could the goddesses from our world want Hyrule's destruction?"

"For everything that they see as tarnishing what they have created. It is their job to see who gets to live and who gets to die, and they all agreed that they all wanted you off existence. Also, I'd tone that profanity if I were you when facing the gods, although the chance of getting killed by one would be a fitting punishment."

"They don't. In fact, they're actually a part of the minority who wanted not humanity's fall, but have no choice to accept it due to majority. They're even powerless if they were to go up against even the top gods, then again I've made a law against such. The battles will be our only hope...and I too hoped that none of you will fall in combat."

"Sounds arrogant to me. If they didn't want their creations tarnished they shouldn't have made gods of war or destruction. Now that you mention it, aren't gods responsible for corrupting mankind in the first place? I remember the stories telling of humans being peaceful at one point." He tipped his cap. "Good grief. It can't be helped I guess. If they can't take responsibility for their handiwork, maybe a good old fashioned beatdown is just what the doctor ordered."

"AGH! ALL THIS YAPPING IS GIVING ME A HEADACHE!" Said Stok, pointing threateningly at one of the meandering servants of the Gods. If he had had a gun in his hands one would feel very threatened by this posture indeed. "YOU! Go get me supplements. Hyper God! When do we start cracking skulls? I'm losing my patience. You won't even need the rest of these freeloaders." Said Stok, now motioning behind him to the other champions who had been gathered with complete disregard for if they could hear him or not. "You can send them all in at once for all I care."

The Doom Slayer

5 Minutes Before...

I jumped onto an Imp and I ripped Its' ugly-ass head off of its shoulders with my bare hands, Its bones snapped and blood spurted out as it fell to the ground. I could hear a faint crinkle of paper under my boot and I pulled a...Letter from under my boot?
It has been hundreds of years since I have seen a letter especially since It had a Wax stamp on it, One of the Luxuries that are quite...Wasteful in a sense to me. I threw down the Imps' head and I opened the Latter with my bloodied gloves. It had read this in simple handwriting:

'Blessed be from the Most High, you have been chosen by the Hyper God to partake in a battle to determine the fate of your world; Armageddon. The gods above have spoken of your fate and it is time to have your saying. Bring along your loved ones. You have only a week to prepare.

In sincere regards,
TD-HG'

I threw down the paper to suddenly find myself In a Large room of some sort, and Particularly one 'Entity' stood out, Seemingly he was this so-called 'Hyper-god'. I cracked my knuckles as I came to understand why my and many others' presences were required here.
Saving Humanity once more? Fighting large gods without outside help? Bring your loved ones?
I merely stood there with an angry look on my face as I followed the other 'heroes' on a Rainbow colored path that seemed to be translucent. "Slayer, If you die, I will be destroyed, Samur Makyr will be killed but I doubt he will not go down without a fight. Our world has long since been over, It is time we switch and help these others keep their loved ones and universes safe." VEGA said as I walked silently.

"Sounds arrogant to me. If they didn't want their creations tarnished they shouldn't have made gods of war or destruction. Now that you mention it, aren't gods responsible for corrupting mankind in the first place? I remember the stories telling of humans being peaceful at one point."

"There do exists gods of war and destruction, it's just that as of recent times they're not living up to their reputation. Though, I wouldn't suggest bringing that up to them. That would just get up on their nerves. It's true that the gods made man corrupted. Man was once peaceful until they have eaten fruit. You probably know the story of Adam and Eve, don't you? Yes, it wasn't the serpent who made man corrupted, but rather GOD Himself. How so? To answer that question; why would He put the forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden in the first place? Of course, just to test how obedient the two are. Oh how He had wished He did not put that tree there."

After Stok is done with his rambling, The Discoverer would ask him "Are you done? I would save that kind of rage when you get your fight. Until then, we are almost there. Please be patient if you can. Otherwise, I would have to incapacitate you until it is your turn to do battle."

"Good grief. Hubris was always the gods' downfall and it'll be no different today. I have no more questions." Jotaro tipped his cap.

Fenyx sighed as she looked over the bright, gleaming horizon of The Golden Isle. Her work to defeat the demonic beast known as Typhon was only just recently completed, yet she felt as if something more beckoned her, as if the call to adventure was pulling her beyond the boundaries of her own world. Sure enough, her friend Hermes dashed into The Hall of The Gods, holding some kind of letter.

"Hermes? Still running around the island I see." The redheaded warrior smiled. Hermes held up a finger to catch his breath, before handing the letter over to her. Fenyx would open the letter, shaking her head as she read the contents.

"Blessed be from the Most High, you have been chosen by the Hyper God to partake in a battle to determine the fate of your world; Armageddon. The gods above have spoken of your fate and it is time to have your saying. Bring along your loved ones. You have only a week to prepare."

"It looks like you're needed somewhere else." Hermes chuckled. Fenyx scratched the back of her head, but before she could turn and respond a beam of light had shined above her and she was gone, taken from her home world and transported to a new area. She was surrounded by strange warriors, and instinctively drew Achilles' Sword.

"Hey! Where am I!? Who are you people!?"

"Hey! Where am I!? Who are you people!?"

"Save your questions for later. We have arrived." The group would stop in front of the colosseum, the place where Armageddon will be held.

Standing by the entrance is a beautiful woman, who have been waiting for the participants to arrive.

Karma Runa
-High Truth Seeker-

"Darling! You came, along with the chosen who will fight in behalf of humanity." She appears to be happy to see The Discoverer, running over to him and giving him a kiss. She turns to the participants to greet them. "Brave and noble souls, chosen by the most high, my name is Karma Runa, also known as the High Truth Seeker. All of you must be aware of what is going to happen, don't you? Fear not, for the Hyper God has given you blessing. And also..." She walks over to Stok and appearing in her hand is a well-cooked turkey leg...of sorts. "I knew that one of you is in need of replenishment, so I've went over to one of the kiosks and bought you this cooked phoenix leg. Take it and eat it, your will be needing to have full strength when your fight comes." She tells him before handing him the leg. "My wife sure knows how to make the needy happy. She's a mind reader after all." The Discoverer said "Come, let us not waste any time further. The opening ceremony is about to begin." And so the group goes into the arena.

The inside of the colosseum is vast and large. The participants and their loved ones would see many gods of different pantheons seated in rows. Coming down to the center of the arena is a dwarf holding a peculiar horn who is going to make the announcement.

Heimdall
-Watchman of the Bifrost-

"It is now the time for Armageddon to begin!" The gods roared, excited to see the battles that will about to happen...or rather, the series of executions of humans. "The rules of Armageddon is as follows; anything goes! However, anything that involves outside help will be punished! The loser of each match will go straight to hell! The side with the most wins will have either humanity saved...or destroyed. And so, I, Heimdall, has declared Armageddon commence!" The crowd roared louder than before. "So...what do you all think?" The Hyper God asked the participants.

Fenyx nodded, hefting her blade over her shoulder.

“It looks like they want a show. Let’s not keep them waiting, shall we?”

Stok grumbled under his breath and followed the beautiful woman into the arena. A servant scurried behind him hurredly and handed him his tray of "suppliments." It looked to be a strange salad of tentacles, vitamin tablets, and bugs with many legs and no eyes or pinsers. He shrugged his shoulders and began shoveling them into his mouth through the hole in his mask. Upon finding that he tasted skittles, hibiscus flower, and bacon respectively, began chewing faster. He continued chewing through Haemdal's speach and seemed restless. He scanned the audience of gods to see if any were watching him as well, looking to pick out his opponent.

"I am sorry for snapping earlier Hyper God. I was merely hungry. I think this will be fun. Tell me, in what order are we fighting? May I request an earlier spot in the bracket? Perhaps not the first, but after my food is digested?" He was speaking in a low, almost monotone voice, as he took in the sheer amount of power he sensed coming from the occupants of the arena. His heart began to quicken it's pace. He couldn't wait to see what beings who referred to themselves so plainly as gods were capable of.

  • 1608419904357.png "This is my stop, Doctor." Death's Head stood in the doorway of the TARDIS, practically already gone. "Remember your parking space. You wouldn't want to lose track of your ship, yes?"

"Best of luck in the tournament, Death's Head." The Doctor rested on the central console of his wonderful time-and-space machine. "We'll all need it."
He was surrounded by his temporary traveling partners, per usual. Other than Charley, a friend he'd picked up previously on early 1930's Earth, a member of the Captain Britain corps had been sent to overlook the tournament. Additionally, the Captain wheeled around a crude computer setup on a portable desk.

"How's your prisoner doing, Captain?" Charley wasn't used to the company of muscular men in spandex, and leaving England eight years before the creation of the modern superhero comic, it seemed all the more odd. "There's nothing he can do to get out of his little box, is there?"

"He's not going to escape his floppy disk if that's what you mean." There was a moment of silence between them. "I'm not fond of the idea either. Bringing a mad despot to watch people die isn't my idea of a good time."

"It all seems a bit Ellison, doesn't it?" The Timelord eyed the 90's Macintosh. It was as beige as technology could be. "Trapped in a body where you can't do anything but shout, and even then, you've found a way to turn it off when you please."

"I had no say in this." Britain admitted. Being one Brian Braddock in a team swarming with them didn't give him much political power. At most it got him free food on trips to other universes. "If I had my way, I wouldn't be the one in charge of Galvatron. That all came down to the higher-ups at the Corps."

"The same higherups who slipped our friend some credits to fight on their behalf?"

    "The very same."

"It's a big multiverse, Captain. From the sorcerers of the Hyborian age to the World Space Patrol of the 2060's, why was Death's Head picked for the job?" The subject had been nagging at the Doctor for some time. It seemed appropriate to question it now, before the robot entered battle. "Out of all the people in the four or five worlds that've been involved, why him?"

The superhero stared the Doctor in the eye. "We make exceptions, Doctor. He doesn't."

I see. So even the Gods respect their own rules when it comes to these kinds of events. They must've thought I was too powerful to singlehanded defeat the Gods.

"Hah! They're even more cowardly than I thought if they're afraid to be beaten by a mortal with god like powers." Hiryu commented, chuckling at the thought of the Gods fearing Sougo's abilities. He raises a good point. If the point of this tournament is to face off against Gods, wouldn't people with powers that rival gods be more suitable as participants?

Was I a special case because the Hyper God removed my powers? I ponder this as the Hyper God got up from his throne and began to lead us to the place known as Valhalla, a colliseum where the Armageddon will commence. To kill time, my friends decided to discuss the implications of them taking my power.

"I should tell you now that I don't advise saying those things in the presence of the Gods themselves, Hiryu." Woz stated to the former Another Rider, "Though I admit, it's quite hypocritical of them, no?" He pondered aloud, "It's almost as if they want us to lose."

"Do the gods really want to destroy humanity that bad...?" Uncle gulped, scratching the back of his head cluelessly. "I mean...They did create us mortals, right?"

"Gods get bored easily." Tsukasa simply remarked, "They'll do anything and everything as long as it's interesting."

"Don't forget their pride." Kaito added, "Despite being a major sin on their books, a lot of gods are full of themselves."

"Like you?"

"Yes, like you." The two dimension hoppers stared at each other, their faces seemed to hide some malice for each other. Looks like their rivalry goes way back.

"Save your lovers' spat later. We're in the middle of something big." Hiryu told the two multiverse hoppers, soon walking along. It wasn't long until everyone has arrived at the coliseum proper, resembling that of typical roman coliseums where gladiators fight for nobles and commoners alike back in the day.

I'm not surprised to see such a grand structure before me--after all, a lot of popular gods on the modern age are either greek, roman or norse, though I did notice that a lot of media reference greek myths more. Greeting our band of fighters is a beautiful, horned angel, who seemed to be close to the Hyper God himself. Must be his wife. Looking at us, Hyper God's wife, Karma Runa, asked us if we knew the reason for being there.

I simply nod, unsure if I can make through this myself. I mean, I am facing gods here, aren't I? Glancing at the others brought alongside me, they seemed to be more battle hardened. Soldiers, warriors, and fighters coming from all walks of life. They seem confident that they'll get through this ordeal. They're risking their life fighting the ones known as the untouchables. Gods.

Going inside the coliseum, Sougo and the others admired those who sat in the audience--Gods, Demons, and beings mythical in nature, sat in rows.

"S-s-so they're all real, huh..." Uncle stammered as he looked around at the audience, "I knew I should've prepared some offerings..." He sighed, scratching the back of his head as he spots the Shinto Gods somewhere.

"Kinda useless considering they're out for our blood." Tsukasa deadpanned, raising his camera and snapping a photo of the god-filled audience.

In the center, a tiny figure descended, and announced the rules of Armageddon--there is only one major rule. Anything involving outside help will be punished.

"Shame, then that means summons are banned, doesn't it?" Kaito snickered, glancing at me from behind. "So much for your Treasure."

"About that..." I turned to the dimensional thief, "I couldn't find my Grand Zi-O watch anywhere since last week." I admitted rubbing my chin. Knowing the Hyper God's reasonings now, I guess it has something to do with the fact that taking various Riders from my timeline to fight on my behalf counts as outside help. Soon, the Hyper God turned his attention to us, fighters, asking for our thoughts.

For a moment, I fell silent. My mind going through moments I spent with the friends I have that are long gone. Geiz...Tsukuyomi...White Woz...Minato. If you were all in my shoes, wouldn't you give it your all, too?

"Somehow..." I spoke, bearing a warm smile. "I think I can do this." I uttered the words that carried me from the start of my path to becoming king down to its foreseen end.

I'll fight to forgive myself for letting them all die. I'll fight to wipe away my timeline and bring everyone back. I'll fight for the sake of my subjects.

That's why I became Kamen Rider Zi-O.

Stok continued to chew on his plate of disgusting alien charcuterie and walked over to the Kamen rider in attendance. He did not speak at first, simply stood within inches of the other man and ate his supplements. Well within his personal space, crumbs of little bugs and tentacles fell off of the plate and out of his hand on the way to his mouth, as well as out from under his mask on the other side. His eyes widened at the shorter man as he spoke to him with his mouth full.

"What makes you so special? You're going to fight gods with a handicap? Are you really that strong?" Stok bent down and looked him in the eye like he was peering through a keyhole.
