Backstory:
Nitro was forged during a prosperous time on Velocitron. He became a well known racer by winning the Speedia 500. Nitro never took the position of leader on their planet; he never thought he was good enough. Striving to become better, Nitro would train at every chance he got; however, he wasn’t obsessed with being the fastest racer. If he lost, he lost; it wasn’t the end of the world. One cycle, Nitro was out racing alongside their city state Delta, when he hit a bump in the road. He flew far into the air, higher than their city. Nitro began to panic as his metallic form came crashing down towards the ground. He wished that Navitas would somehow help him. Just clicks before hitting the ground, Nitro transformed into a secondary alternate mode. He flew high above their city. Never before had he ever gone this fast. This new alternate way to travel was exhilarating. He didn’t know how he got it, but it would be useful. When Nitro entered the city, people looked at him with disgust. They had never seen anyone fly before. They didn’t like his new speed supremacy. The city of Delta shunned the triple changer. In his shunned state, Nitro came across their library. Much of their history had been hastily written on the books. When he came across the legend of the Thirteen Primes, he became deeply intrigued. Seeing as how the Thirteen each had their own colony, He was curious as to who their titan, Navitas, belonged to. During his studies, he came across the notion of having multiple alternate modes. He hadn’t seen any Velocitronian have any second alternate form; let alone, one with a flight capable alternate mode. A megacycle after discovering the library, visitors came from another world. They weren’t anything like them. They could fly, and reach escaping velocity. Nitro joined up with the new crew. His old world had nothing left to offer.
Life on Cybertron wasn’t easy. Nitro had to change many things; he had to slow down when speaking, driving, and walking. He missed his old world’s fast tempo, but he loved the new world all the same. Nitro eventually found a job at Maccadam's oil house. It wasn’t anything special, but everyone started to enjoy his company. As time went on, Nitro participated in many cultural events. At one point in time, he asked a fellow bar attender what she would do in his shoes. Stardrive answered, “See the Stars, meet new people. Live life.”
Shortly after this, Nitro was informed of the terms Amica and Conjunx Endura. He realized he never had a close friend, only people he saw on certain occasions. His next mission became clear: Find an Amica Endura. He searched all across Cybertron. Continuing his search across all the colonies, he found no such luck. The Devisens were born with their soulmate, the Eukarians found his vehicular alt modes as “distasteful.” The Junkions were all too messy, while the Vigilem’s wanted to travel for all eternity. Velocitron wasn’t a place he wanted to go again. With lost hopes, Nitro went to the final colony: Caminus. Upon arrival, Nitro noticed many of them with facial markings. He approached their residents, to ask what they were. They explained their religion to the young transformer. Finally feeling at home, Nitro scoured the planet in search of a spark mate, or even a friend. He came across a lone camien named Maxima. The two became instant friends. They talked about everything. The two fell in love, a deep never ending love.
When the combiner wars began, Nitro teased her about being careful to avoid the massive barbaric creatures. When she was killed by Menasor, Nitro was devastated. He fell into a deep stupor. He left the planet as soon as he heard of her death. Moving back to Cybertron, he returned to the only accepting place on the planet: Maccadam’s oil house. He spent many cycles here. He stayed so long, they eventually called one of the corners, Nitro’s corner. Many people asked why he was always there. He only ever said, “It was a woman I lived for, a woman who died for me.” Stardrive heard of Nitro’s new claimed title as permanent resident of the old bar. Traveling back to the world she knew little of, Stardrive went to see her old comrade. Nitro was touched by the feelings of the camien. Stardrive held his hand and did the Amica Endura ritual. It turned out she hadn’t had a best friend with in her own species. She found Nitro to be a good bot, and an even greater friend. Stardrive stayed for a little while after to celebrate. Nitro’s heart had become uplifted by the realization of his many friends. People talked to him, told stories of him. He was accepted and made thousands of friends.
Nitro saw the world with open eyes. He saw a need for a good set of laws and rules. Nitro looked for a job with the self proclaimed leader of Cybertron: Starscream. Nitro walked straight into the high council room. Starscream had recognized the would be leader of Velocitron. He also knew of his travels across the colonies, and of loss. Starscream felt pity and respect for the Velocitronian. He gave Nitro the position of second in command because of his vast knowledge. Starscream also believed he could manipulate the bot into doing his dirty work if he ever needed it. Starscream assigned the Velocitronian with running his errands and other boring things he didn’t want to do.
Nitro became popular on the planet and colonies. He wasn’t shunned, but respected. He had become a figure for all those seeking refuge from hate and judgment. One bot offered Nitro an upgrade. He accepted and was upgraded with a storage unit in his chest, just incase he ever was chosen as a matrix bearer. This bot mysteriously disappeared after the upgrade. He muttered something along the lines, “When the day comes, the Thirteen Primes shall arise and bestow the gift to the newest prime. I shall return with my.....”
Nitro was assigned to a special operation team when Windblade became leader. A bunch of ragtag bots put together to stop an unknown force. The team consists of: RazorStorm as the muscle, Nitro as Leader, Chaindrive as Second in command, Starswitch as Scout.
They are a special group ready for any danger, whether it be magic, beastial or something much worse.
Strengths:
- Hyper active speed. Faster than a normal bot by about 10mph.
- Decent combat skills.
- decent with an axe
- Good memory and Can pick up some skills with ease
Weaknesses:
- speed requires a lot of energy. The faster he moves, the more power he drains from his system.
- Sucks at close combat. He is fast, but he doesn’t know proper technique.
- Sometimes leaps without looking.
