From the Depths of Hell
So you are in a support group for people on their ninth life. The people here vary wildly by species, race, gender and more, but every one of them has died eight times and is a feline shifter of some kind. People come here for different reasons, from emotional support to court-ordered attendance, but in the end, everyone is at the meeting. However, the location for the meeting is the current issue at hand. This is their last meeting in the old city hospital before it gets shut down. The building itself is centuries old and has been in use for most of them.
Originally it was a prison, then it was used to store plague victims. After that, it was abandoned for a few decades before being refurbished and partially rebuilt around a century ago to become a hospital. Over the following years, bureaucracy kept the hospital there and the medical staff had to make do with the old building and minimal remodelings. Recently, that came to an end and after years of construction, the hospital is moving to its new building. Unfortunately for the skeleton crew left behind to close up the hospital and all of you, the old place isn’t quite ready to die yet. Something has awoken, and now you have to get out or lose your last life trying.
Shifters within this are a mid-powered variant. Stronger, faster, better senses and regeneration, plus three disparate forms to shift between, with the two main forms and the between. The between form is generally the best of both worlds, although it takes strength to halt the shift at the mid-form. Both pure forms tend to be sturdier, with the animal form, in particular, being larger. However, shifters are not immortal or anywhere near it. Silver sucks, but enough damage will take a shifter down. The exception to that is cat shifters, each of which are born with nine lives. How that works is that if they die their body fades to ash, and they wake up in animal form elsewhere. As to what you can do in this RP, the main point is survival and character interplay. You are trapped in a place filled with angry dead and other things, and you have no lives left. Your characters can die, but only if it is either pre-discussed with the GM’s, or you do something especially egregious. If you mind the rules and keep your posts at least mostly logical you won’t have any problems.

- Minimum post length of two paragraphs, with a single paragraph being acceptable in high-density situations. If there is a lot of back and forth, back out and collab the post. (Detailed writing is preferred)
- Decent grammar and spelling. Doesn’t have to be perfect, but make it look alright.
- Stay in contact, and stay posting. If you can’t post for a bit, allowances can be made if you tell me but if you vanish for a week and the roleplay is active, your character might get axed.
- Third person perspective only.
- No god-modding - give others a chance to react.
- Be nice in OOC (keep OOC in the OOC, which will be on a Discord server). Take arguments or fights elsewhere - Ana is not interested in drama. Cass might be. Include her for shits and giggles.
- Profanity, gore, violence, etc. are permitted as long as they are within RPN’s boundaries.
- Ana is the Co-GM, she can do things unless I say she cannae do them.
- Include your character’s favorite fish in your CS to indicate you have read the Rules.
- If we think of more rules, we will add them. Keep on the lookout for more fish.
