Vulken Beckman
"Draken"
Ruby Revenants |Senior| Jinx: Incinerator
Location: West District, Ruby Revenants Hotel
Interacting: Anita ( Doctor Llamabean Doctor Llamabean ) , Banshee ( GrieveWriter GrieveWriter )

________________________________________________________________________________

Though he smiled in appreciation and gratefulness at both of their offers, Vulken's eyebrow raised slightly as Banshee explained her reasoning for requesting the presence of the Elders. While he would happily indulge in a cigarette or a bottle of liquor in a moment's notice, drugs were something he rarely got down with, especially something like Barbossan Flush. That substance was capable of tearing families apart after one use-- and he had done more than enough family destroying for his lifetime. If, at some point, his green-haired comrade somehow managed to figure out who was distributing the stuff , he'd be more than happy to help her bring them to the ground. "Flush, huh? That ain't nothin' to play around with. Shit's dangerous, especially here. My guess is someone's tryin' to kick us down as soon as we're trying to get back up." he wondered who it could be, which district this mess was coming from, but nothing came to mind. After all, things had to be way different than he remembered them being eight years ago. Once Banshee finished her note, seemingly anxious to get her message to the Elder's offices, she said her temporary goodbye.

"I'mma leave this in the office upstairs and shoot them some messages just to be on the safe side, but the moment I'm done consider me your big sis for any jobs you need done."

He nodded, and gently waved her off as she turned around and began to head upstairs. "Yeah, go ahead. We'll be waitin'." Just like that, she was gone as fast as she'd suddenly arrived. Becoming slightly annoyed by the cigarette in his hand, he held up an index finger at Anita as if to say 'one second', and walked over to the nearest trash can to discard it. As he walked back, un-balling his fist and allowing his palm to breathe fresh air after wiping it off on his pants, he couldn't help but crack a smile. 'Big sis'? Ain't no way you're older than me, but sure. I guess that can work. What an interesting character, much like the other new faces he managed to catch quick glimpses of around the hotel. At least they're actually doing something with their time here. We used to just kick ass and get our asses kicked.

Once he returned to his original partner for the day, she spoke to him with crossed arms, still looking forward. "Banshee's a Rookie, but she's put in more work since joining than some of our fresh Seniors. Feels kind of like she was already accustomed to gang-life from the beginning... I wouldn't know, though. I don't ask." he wouldn't be surprised if she was, but like her, he wasn't going to make an assumption so early after meeting her. He could definitely tell that she was a caring, hard worker-- a trait most people who chose this life typically lacked. Without speaking, he nodded, and the shorter woman looked slightly upwards towards him. "How do you feel about bringing her along? Then again, if stealth's your game, she's not the best candidate, and she'll tell you that herself."

He cleared his throat before speaking up, moving an unruly crimson lock of hair out of his view. "Oh, trust me, stealth ain't nowhere to be seen on my resume. She can definitely come with." they were going to need as much help as they could get. As much as everything else had changed, he doubted the Serpents changed at all. They were definitely still going to be as ruthless and violent as he remembered them being, and if a fight happened to break out, that modified... guitar-thing was going to come in handy for sure. "If she's not stealthy, she must be pretty strong, then, right? I'm looking forward to seeing both of you in action... Well, that's if we even end up in a fight, that is." he looked at her, maintaining eye contact as he spoke. "So, how you feeling about this? Excited to make some quick cash? It should be a breeze, as long as things don't get outta hand." Speaking of 'out of hand', Vulken realized that the cigarette he had just thrown away was the last one he had on his person. He quietly sighed with closed eyes, before looking to Anita once more. "Hey, mind if we run to the store real quick? I need to get...something. We can talk a little more on the way there."

Fond Adieu || Rebirth's CS File

Eustass fell to the floor as hit fit got worse. Expected completely expected. He started to yell at Tomi for being infuriating and the second the crowbar was back in Eustass’ hand he jumped back expecting the blow thrown at him. Fool him once, shame on him. He wasn’t gonna get fooled again though. He laughs as Eustass shouts his “hatred” for him before jumping out the window.

“One of these days you'll get tired of being dramatic…”

With that he went back out the way he came using the doors like a proper human being. He’d complain to Eustass to keep the blood out his car if it was his, as it stood he knew better than to pick up the shit with his baby. He gets back to the car with Eustass kicking at the ceiling just before tiring himself out and decides that yup that was definitely the right call.

"You. Get in. I drive. You tell me vhere to turrrn."

Ooo pretty and bossy. What a fun combination. He shrugged to her as he took the passenger side of the vehicle.

    “Whatever you say Beautiful.”

From there he took out his phone and cycled through the notes and forums as he gave the two the rundown. He’d had a few of the other rookies, ones that looked like they might wet themselves if they faced a particularly mean alleycat, on the lookout for the man.

    Ping

There we go. He laughed. Oh great, the asshole was in the slimiest parts. He directed Yelena with a few quick turns until they made their way there. The car rolled to a crawl. Now, this was his territory, and fuck if he wasn’t gonna use it to his best ability.

    “Yeah it is."

He had a smirk on his face as he grabbed his bow and got out of the car. He flung the bow over his back with his quiver attached to his right hip. He kicked the door close and brought his hands wide up at his shoulders as if gesturing to the district itself.

"Welcome to Tower Mount, South. Shittiest neighborhood in the blocks. 10 to 1 he’s hanging in '95's. The bastard that runs it takes in all types. It’s a good thing too though, he owes me so if Gideon fled already we can cash in some favors to get the bitch cornered.”

Carter Renshaw
Status Albino Tigers Junior | Supermarket | Interactions: Pascal, Adrienne Anne Boolean Anne Boolean , Owen Elenion Aura Elenion Aura

"Surely she's bluffing, right?" Carter thought as he backed away with Pascal. Fighting in the Rose District was one thing, busy but plenty of space to duke it out. A fight in a grocery store was a whole other mess. Usually the battleground of Karens and Store Managers, rather than gang members, so not exactly a good look for them. What could Carter do though, even a petty fight was an important one when it came down to gang reputation. He looked around as the shoppers watched them, some looked concerned, scared even. Others just looked curious about what was going to happen next. No way could he give the Revenants what they wanted now.

This led him back to his initial thought, surely they weren't going to engage in a fight here, though. "They'll cut their losses once they realise we ain't submitting to them, right?" Unfortunately, he was proven wrong pretty quickly, with Adrienne's arm lunging towards Carter's companion faster than he could register. He was only thankful that Pascal had quicker reflexes than he expected.

Carter's first instinct was to disarm the woman directly, but with Pascal's hand near the knife, that would only lead to someone getting sliced inadvertently. He laid his eyes on the shopping cart, which was being pushed along by the Revenant until now. With no time to think about his options, Carter firmly pulled the cart closer to him, before ramming it at Adrienne, in the hopes that it would knock her over, or at least prolong a second attack.
That still left the other man to deal with, and Carter noticed quickly that he had grabbed for the pineapple amid the chaos. Having quickly run out of tricks, Carter looked directly at Owen, trying his best to look somewhat threatening. He hoped his jinx wasn't known to him, otherwise, that facade would fail pretty quickly. There was still no liquids for him to utilise unless he wanted to start smashing open bottles of juice in the store, which would look quite desperate.

"Can't we settle this properly, mate? I take it that you're a Revenant, like your friend. I really don't think you want to take this further, and I don't fancy getting my hands dirty. So leave everything here, including what is ours, and get out before your gang gets publicly humiliated yet again."
Carter wasn't sure if he sounded convincing as a threat, but it sure felt good to act like one as he gave a stern warning to them.

Adrienne Hawthorne, a.k.a. Wendi && Pascal Corbin, a.k.a Mech
"What a mess..."
"Hehehe... I win!"

Adrienne tried to pull back her blade to take another swing, but Pascal kept a shaky grip on it. He winced as the woman's tugging caused it to slice down his palm. He knew that wouldn't be nearly as deadly as another slice or jab from the knife that actually hit, so the blond endured it. The woman's red eyes turned to see her companion grab ahold of the pineapple, causing her grin to grow even wider. At this point, they simply needed to dash off with all their goods to reach victory, but as she saw the blood dripping down the man's hand, temptation overtook her. She did still need to pick up meat, after all.

The distraction proved to be her undoing though, and she found herself stumbling back with a grunt from the impact of the cart. It caused her to also let go of the knife, which Pascal quickly grabbed by the handle with his other hand before pointing it towards the two. Well, this was no good. She had been disarmed and neither her nor Owen's jinx could be used offensively. On top of that, she had no idea what their opponents' capabilities were.

Adrienne turned to watch the exchange between Carter and Owen. "No! That pineapple's mine!" she called, her wicked smile still ever present.

Pascal's blue eyes narrowed at the words. "Let them have it," he said to his fellow Tiger. "It's clear this isn't any official Revenant business." Gang honor was no longer involved, so they could do the reasonable thing without worrying about whatever impressions it left. He just hoped that Carter would agree. Adrienne's smile wavered. She still wanted some meat... Her brow furrowed though as she returned to the present moment and realized the scene they had caused. She could get some meat later, she decided. It wasn't worth the inconvenience of being stopped by the police.

"Heh. Smart move," she said to Pascal before turning to Owen. "Looks like I'll have to finish this shopping trip later. Let's bolt!" She grabbed a hold of their cart and dashed away from the scene, expecting Owen to follow with the pineapple.

. . . Fortune?

Nionet's face falls blank, sparing a few rapid blinks at the boy's response.

What did she even expect in the first place?

Jack. . . of all trades?

At this, she raises a hand over her eyes and lets a soft sigh, all the while hanging her head low as not to reveal the small smile tugging on her lips. However, it only grows wider as he attempts to explain Omar and Mollify's mission.

Upon feeling a gentle knock to the head, Nionet quickly drops her expression and glances up to see Silva's hand, once again, hovering above. Her brows draw together as both eyes narrow in confusion.

How should she respond or react to these small gestures? What do they even mean?

After hearing of the murder in the news article, Molly had taken up a fit of rage and now stands with balled fists, prepared to fight. Omar remains still, while Silva stands beside Nionet.

She tosses away the meaningless questions that swarm her mind, then takes a deep breath in preparation to re-explain the mission for the Omar and Molly.

"Yes, as Erich said, a woman by the name of Zylith Cross is currently known for invading other criminal organizations, gathering evidence of their wrong-doings, and turning them into the authorities. As a result, she's now a target with a high bounty on her head. Therefore," Nionet pauses to take a breath, before shooting a sharp look and continuing, "you two have been assigned the task of escorting her out of the city, for she's offered a large sum of money to do so. Meanwhile, Erich and I have a mission of our own."

40.jpgChikage tosses his hand out to catch the phone as Grée pretends to throw it back. Then when the phone slaps face-down on the floor, Chikage's eyes move slowly up to lock with Grée's for the first time--lidded with apathy that conceals the fire of rage that Grégoire has just unleashed within him.

"Oops! Hope it’s not broken. Silly me," Grée quips, kicking the phone across the floor. It spins smoothly across the marble before lodging between its glossy surface and the upturned point of Chikage's boot.

By the ringing in his ears, Chikage doesn't hear Grée. He sees his lips moving, but there's no sound.

As when a person's consciousness dwindles, the room seems to fall dark at the edges of his vision, and the ringing dulls into a low buzz. Grée's mouth keeps moving--his voice, muffled and distant.

Shut up, he thinks, maintaining his apathetic gaze.

Every nerve in his body forecasts raining blood! An incessant barking in his ear that screams murder. The vibration of a crunch underfoot that paints the image of broken bones, a feeling he's proudly familiar with, but wait...

Suddenly, the room's vibrance returns, and Chikage can hear again. Looking down, the upper half of the phone has been crushed to bits.

Grée's voice again, "Though, you should know me by now darling. I’m not known to keep my word..."

Chikage looks back up at him, furrowing his brows. Thankfully, that phone was only a spare, and it's contacts are synced with one locked in his office. As if he'd ever let Serpent-scum touch his most personal belongings. And so, without looking away from the other, Chikage takes a small step backward. He places his right foot beside the now-broken device, about six inches away, then sends it flying across the room with an effortless swipe, leaving a black scuff across the marble as he does.

Shards of glass zip through the air, the largest half of the phone exploding on the wall.

Then after clearing his throat, hands in his coat pockets, he flips his hair out of his face and says, "Your word doesn't matter. I'd never trust a Serpent. My plans are bigger than you, Tanaka. But you wouldn't understand plans beyond premeditated senseless bloodshed, would you?" His expression is serious. "I'll call you... And when that time comes, your sister will be alive, but you will answer." Then a smirk, "Hmph~ Or maybe I'm bluffing... You Serpents like to gamble, right? So, let's play a game."

A scowl again, "Now get out of my mansion. I'll contact the kid. You can wait outside."

Turning away, Chikage leaves the entrance hall at a steady pace, exiting through the archway to his left. He enters another room, larger than the entrance hall and much more decorated, set with furniture, and he stops. To his right, Emelia stands with hands behind her back, staring down.

After a moment of silence, she asks without looking up, "You're sending Camaree?" But Chikage doesn't respond. Instead, he places a gentle hand atop of her head, holding it there reassuringly, then walks on.

In his office, he finds his other phone--one of many--and begins typing up a text to fifteen available members to accompany Camaree Martin on her endeavor. Call him extra, but Chikage cares a great deal for Camaree. He would never send her into hostile territory without substantial protection, much less alone. She is too young and too innocent to wind up dead in a South District ditch, especially with her potential.

If healing-type Jinxes weren't so rare, he'd have turned her away when she came seeking his affiliation last May.

And yet he's still sending her off with a Serpent. Not just any Serpent either. Their Elder.

Seems contradictory. He knows. But in order to escape the leash around his neck, he must be willing to take risks. He must be willing to lose some to gain some. And that, he is.

A low ringing nudges Chikage from his thoughts then. Standing over the mess of his demolished desk and bookshelves, he reads the name on his phone's screen--an alias belonging to the scout he sent out to find Pablo Juarez. Right off, his heart races as he answers the call, "What?"

"I found the kid."

"Where?" Chikage asks, running a hand down his face as he glances aimlessly about the office.

"Rose District, near that arcade that's about to be demolished. Guess he's skipping school, or somethin'... Hey, are you really gonna give me Ace for somethin' like this?"

Chikage ignores the question, "It's New Years, dumbass. Head to the location I gave you- Do you remember it?"

A brief silence. Chikage squints, parting his lips to speak again, but then, "Yeah, I remember."

"Answer quicker when I ask you a fucking question," Chikage snaps.

Immediately, the scout says, "Sorry, boss."

"I'll meet you there." With that, the call ends, but Chikage doesn't put his phone away just yet. Finding his contacts, he selects the names "MKS.WSS.KNG.CLD" and "IVN.X.EIN" and creates a group chat between himself and them, sending a message that reads: "I need you two to cause a scene in the Rose District to distract the authorities. Don't ask why. I won't answer. It would be in your best interest to hide your identities, but if anything goes wrong, I'll fix it. Payment in advance. More after I finish my work." Afterward, he wires them both a thousand dollars.

She moves her pawn forward, from the black square to the white one. Her father moves his knight forward once, then twice to his left, eliminating another of her pieces.

"Ah." She sulks. "Camaree did not see that."

Her father smiles softly, "You'll get better."

That same pawn, she moves it forward again.

"You like that piece," her father chuckles.

"Yes," Camaree says. "It's small."

"Like you," her father says.

Camaree inspects her hands, humming. "Indeed, but Camaree will grow. The pawn; it will not."

Her father moves his bishop five squares, stopping it in front of her prized pawn. She blinks, looking up at him, then back down.

"Why does father stop?" she asks.

He shrugs, "I got tired."

Camaree's phone chimes from the window sill behind her, and she and her father lock eyes.

He asks with a curious tone, "A friend?"

"Camaree does not know. She will check." She stands up from her chair. It's a message from Nakazajo Chikage, her Elder and savior, asking her to come to the Albino Tigers' Mansion, detailing her assignment to accompany Grégoire Tanaka of the Sable Serpents to the South District.

"A friend," she tells her father, putting the phone in her pocket. "She wishes that Camaree will meet her."

"Meet her where?" he asks.

"The boutique on Stafford, father. She has New Years' pictures. Camaree will be off now." Saying that, Camaree looks toward the door where a large man stands at attention, awaiting orders. He's dressed in all black except for a red belt and tie.

Camaree calls to him, "Amon," and he faces her with his whole body to bow, "Yes?"

"Camaree would greatly appreciate your company on her ride to Stafford, if you would," she says matter-of-factly.

Amon exhales through his nose a silent laugh, "Of course, Lady Camaree."

Seated in the passenger's seat of a black Sedan, buckled safely, Camaree's eyes watch the road. Amon is to her left, driving. A large, square ring hugs his middle finger--and engraved into its silver, the roaring head of a tiger.

After a longer silence than what the average person would normally allow, Camaree speaks. "To the mansion, if you would."

Amon pinches his lips in response, seeming to hold his tongue a moment before saying, "I thought so."

"Do not tell father, Amon," she demands lightly.

"I know," he says.

Not long later, they're pulling up to the massive gated entrance of the Albino Tigers' mansion that's marked with with two large 'Ns' for 'Nakazajo'. The perimeter of the property is entirely fenced in, and is surrounded by a variety of shrubbery, screening most of what goes on inside.

Without saying anything, Camaree exits the vehicle and approaches the gate. She looks up into a small camera concealed in the corner of one of the 'Ns', then after a few seconds, the gates roll open, allowing her entry.

Down the long driveway and up the stairs of the porch, she stands before Grégoire Tanaka with an all-too bored expression upon her face. Standing with him are five others, each of which appear unhappy or nervous.

Casually, she meets Grée's eyes. One of the other Tigers says then, "Don't look into his eyes, Squirt."

Camaree doesn't ask, following the order immediately. "Ah. Squirt understands..." Holding her gaze down now, but speaking to Grée, she introduces herself, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Serpent. Squirt has received orders to accompany you to the South District. Lead the way when you are ready."

Matsuda Russo
“Ticco”

Matsuda let out a huff of breath as he was shoved (quite rudely) to the ground. He shrinked in on himself as Boltius began his barrage of light punches to his abdomen, Matsuda laughing all the way. It almost felt like Boltius was tickling him- if it wasn’t for the feeling of knuckles on his ribs.

As he got up from his final attack on Matsuda, Ticco wiped a stray tear away from his bout of laughing. He took deep breaths then finally got himself up, plopping himself back on the couch. “Don’t act like that was some kinda warm up dawg- you just wanted an excuse to hit me.” He fake pouts, but it didn’t last for long- an amused smile quickly overtook it.

He quirked a brow as Boltius began showing off his masks. He did have to admit- they looked cool. “Yeah, that seems good dude. Though it doesn’t quite match up with my Matsu-zombie.” He snaps his fingers and sucks in a breath of excitement. “-but! SkeleTicco still has a ring to it don’tcha think?” He laughs to himself as if he’d made the most hilarious joke the world had ever heard. He waved his hand, trying to compose himself once more. “Nah nah, I’m just kiddin. But I’m serious about the mask- it’s cool.” He got up from the couch and snatched it from Boltius. “Hope ya enjoy playing dress up today- though don’t blame me if someone sees you, and thinks of ya as silly.” He chuckled and pat Boltius’ head, whispering under his breath. “..shorty.

BASH HIRABAYASHI
"Taipan"

𓆗 Sable Serpents |Junior| Jinx: Embargo
Location: West District, Police Station
Interacting: Brax ( Doctor Llamabean Doctor Llamabean )
________________________________________________________________________________

Of course, thought Bash as he watched Brax nod his head before standing up to bow in his direction, causing him to twitch his eye in dissatisfaction. Of course the motherfucker bows.

Despite still being annoyed with Brax, he still couldn't help but smile at the fact that the Revenant was finally willing to break some rules. He looked at the door for a second. The station seemed eerily understaffed. He could only assume it was because things were a mess, with the killings and all, so most officers were busy focusing on that. What would come next would be their own fault for being so careless. While he didn't voice his annoyance with the officer who mocked him, Bash had his own ulterior motive to deal with him once he was uncaged. If Brax were to try and stop him then, their escape wouldn't end on a good note.

He shuffled over to the corner of his cell, so that when the officer came in, he would have to keep his back turned to Brax in order to look at Bash. " 'Kay, gonna start kickin' now. Make sure you grab those keys with your dumb fuckin' jinx." as soon as he uttered the last word in his sentence, he began violently slamming his foot into the bars of the cell, a loud, vibrating clash emanating from the room with every kick. No matter how groggy he was-- he had no plans of putting his assault to an end until Castillo came to stop him. To keep himself stable, he gripped the bars as he kicked, also giving him more leverage to attack the bars even harder. Surely the deafening noise, reminiscent of the most industrial of metal factories would begin to worry the officer by now?

BANG. BANG. BANG. BANG.

Right on cue, the door opened once again, however this time it was shoved forward, and a slam could be heard as the metal door slammed against the wall behind it. Castillo came in once again, which proved his theory correct. There couldn't have been too many more officers around. If anyone got in their-- no, in his way while he escaped, he'd take them out in a heartbeat. As the officer stormed over to his cell, Bash's smile grew even larger.

"Will you cut it out?! I'm trying to get some paperwork done."

Bash continued to kick away at the bars, ignoring him and stalling for time.

"Damn it, you brat, cut it out!!"

"Who's gonna stop me, huh? Who's gonna beat my ass? Who's coming in here to make me stop?"

he looked up at Castillo, who was growing more and more upset, with a glare that begged him to unlock the door to his cell.

"Come on in, we'll see if your wife'll even be able to fuck you anymore once I rearrange 'yer face."

As he kicked even more, Castillo forced his hand through the metal bars and shoved Bash backwards with all his force, causing him to fall backwards once again. This time, Bash didn't retaliate. That's all the time I could buy. Once the officer left, slamming the door shut this time out of frustration, Bash turned his head to the ceiling and laughed, picking himself up and grabbed the bars on his cell door. "Got the keys?! Get me the fuck outta here!" he was baring his fangs in anticipation. Not for an escape, but for the chance to take revenge on his current most-disliked individual.

Hector continued to stare down the Tigers as Minos readied his flames. He waited for his opponents to leave, or give him an excuse to start the fight. He was already feeling perturbed by the unexpected twist in the assignment, and he was ready to take it out on everyone else. The men in front of him were prime targets, and Hector figured that he would be able to take them both down without breaking a sweat. A bit of a deluded view, perhaps, as the past brawls have shown, but it fuelled Hector with the confidence and bloodlust he needed.
He listened intently to his fellow Revenant, hoping he was as ready to fight as he was.

“Couldn’t have said it better myself Boss. But uh OneTwoThreeFourFive

Maybe a bit too ready.
Hector couldn't hide his shock, and irritation at Minos's response, especially when he followed through quickly with an attack on Jaimme. Stole his cue, and his desired target. "That wasn't your call to make." He stood there for a moment, watching as Jaimme defended himself, setting off the sprinklers. Hector remembered that he still had a job to do. He also remembered that there were two tigers for them to fight.

"God FUCKING Dammit"
Letting out some of his anger in one sharp curse, Hector rapidly turned to face Alistair, expecting an attack from him at any second. Fortunately, the Tiger didn't seem keen on making the first move, inviting Hector to attack instead. "Too easy." Eager to take up the opportunity given to him, and not seeing any reason not to, Hector didn't hesitate at all. He loosened his grip on the chains he was holding and stretched his arm out, so it was in his field of view. His jinx could handle the rest.

"Certainly. You should've left while you still could."
The chain shot forward as if it was sharply tugged by something, and Hector only held the end of it now. He directed the chain forward, before swinging it toward Alistair, wrapping it around the Tiger's arm. The chain then tugged the opposite way, intending to drag Alistair with it, away from the child. Hector looked away for a moment, letting the chain fall, still in his hand, and glanced over at Minos.
"Holler if you need me. Don't hold back."
Even if he was mad about a rookie stealing his thunder, Hector had no intention of letting it affect the fight. He could always chew him out afterward. For now, they had their respective opponents to face, and Hector looked back at Alistair, walking towards him.

Owen had the goods. Now this could all be over. He wasn’t about to gloat or anything, but when the young man — well, younger — spoke directly to him, he couldn’t just blow him off, especially after he’d rammed Ady with a cart. Nice move. Still, there was no way he was handing the pineapple over now.

”Don’t hold it against me. We’re all just doing what’s expected of us.”

Luckily, the guy with the bloodied hand, despite nicking Ady’s blade, correctly read the situation and made the right call. Owen was frankly relieved, and he gave the blond another look because of it. Hm... Much to think about.

”No complaints here.” Owen called to Ady as she signaled a tactical retreat. He darted alongside her away from the Tigers. While he was happy to get away from them, Owen couldn’t help himself but give the pair of rival gangsters an over the shoulder parting glance. If they ever crossed paths again, he would remember their faces at least, even if he hadn’t caught either of their names.

He heard his Boss say it wasn’t his call to make and apologized in his head. Now if only he would remember to do it out loud as well later. The rattling of chains told him that Pharaoh was hopping to it too. Good! Boss wasn’t that mad then. His own strike was quickly blocked. But that wasn’t his aim now was it?

He smirked wildly as the other went for the sprinklers. He dropped one of his hands from it and rested it on a diagonal facing Jaimme. It took no time at all for them to do exactly as he expected. He could laugh at their own recklessness. The two were too bogged down by their own surprise to think, or maybe they were just fools. He wondered if they thought he was just holding the fire himself on the blade to look cool with it.

He focuses his power on the fire not hitting him, his boss, or the goods behind him. As the sprinkles turned on his plan unfurled perfectly. The water hit the outer layer of the claymore, one forged with aluminum dust, and had a chemical reaction as the fire exploded outward.

    ”Hahahahhahahahahahahaa EAT GEOLOGY BITCH”

The chemical reaction made it harder to hold his sword straight, he might be able to deflect the flames but the force wasn’t something in his control. If the fools were smart they’d do their best to make sure that didn’t spread far.

“BOSS I THINK WE OUGHTA GRAB THE BRAT AND RUN. THERE’S GONNA BE A LOT OF SCREAMING MUNCHKINS SOON.”

The fire alarms sounded as the sprinklers were triggered. At least any other kids would be quickly evacuated. He idly wondered how much the building would cost him later.

Jaimme "Thundersnow" Hoshizora

941f9efd711d31bbc52e12ee39449485.jpgAnd the sprinklers were off! Quickly soaked, it was only then and too late that he realized how Possess’ sword was built.

Shoot-!

Bringing his arms up to protect his face, he felt the fire start eating away at his jacket. The force made him fall onto his ass, his back smashing against the wall, dazing him momentarily. He heard the clatter of his weapon fall to the floor.

A sharp intake of breath, Jaimme quickly tore his burning jacket off that was soon put out by the sprinklers above. Left in a white button up, he tore at the top as he staggered up, water dripping through his white hair.

His arms stung, undoubtedly going to end up with some blisters later.

Finally, he took a look around him, seeing if the chaos of the explosion had made their target be stolen from under their noses. If they were still in the room, he would try to grab the kid. If they were already gone, he would grab his weapon from the ground and shout for Alistair to help chase after them.

43.jpg"Only an idiot, I would think? A jinx trick gone wrong?" Charlie's tone is curious, leading Naila to believe that she doesn't know of the Vice Elder's failed stunts of the past that made him the legless man he is today, and so she slows until she's walking at Charlie's side, then says on a laugh, "I'm talkin' about Silva. He blew his legs off some years ago- that's why he's all prosthetics. The video is on YouTube if you wanna check it out, but it's censored now. Didn't used to be."

"It happened live at the dirt-track, where he does his... I don't know, racing or whatever. He tried to jump a ramp over a pit of dynamite, but apparently they miscalculated how big the blast would be, and it tore his legs right off. I got to watch before they censored it, and you can actually see one of his legs fly off into the distance."

Naila inhales slowly then sighs. "It was pretty sick, in all honesty, but definitely not the kind of thrill I'd aim for. Which, I doubt he was planning for all of that to happen... but this is Silva we're talking about. Chu- You know her?" She cocks a brow at Charlie, but doesn't await a response before continuing. "Harpy's her alias. She used to date Silva, and apparently, what she told me, is that he's actually nearly blind because he did a dive-stunt into a pool of battery acid and the shit got in his goggles. So, now, he's got a prescription and can't see without'em."

A brief pause. "Not that he ever takes them off anyway."

Suddenly, she squints her eyes at the distance, seeing The Guild ahead. "...You know, we should unmask him one day to see what he looks like... I bet he looks like a fish, but anyway, stop bullying me! Distilled spirits are my spirit animal!"

Charlie leans against the utility pole outside of The Guild. "You know, I did an internet search recently for alcoholic animals. You sure you ain’t a tree shrew or fruit bat, or one of them Vervet Monkeys that steal cocktails from people? I mean, you got a monkey for a pet, even!" she cracks.

Naila uncorks her Patron with a bored expression, taking a quick sip as she stares at her partner. "Haha. Funny. Don't you insult Whisper like that, comparing him to someone like me."

Charlie "Ragnarok" Hoshizora

0mo7ijq90vu51.jpgAs Naila divulged who she was talking about, she clicked her tongue. She has only seen Silva in passing, but from those very few interactions, or watching his interactions with others, she couldn’t bring herself to be surprised.

Maybe once the Uber gets here, we can pull it up and watch it on the way to our destination,” she offered. "I honestly don't think I'm surprised though. Silva seems like quite a character."

With a shake of her head, she cleared the air about her own recklessness, “There’s no need to worry about me performing silly stunts like this at least. I like my legs.” She kicked out her left leg and held it into the air for a moment before putting it back to the ground underneath her.

At the idea of trying to remove Silva’s mask, she smirked as a mischievous glint entered her eyes, “I’m down.

With her joke about what Naila’s spirit animal could be falling flat, she shrugged, “Ah, you’re right.” She spoke up, shouting toward The Guild that they were in front of, “Sorry Whisper!

That was when the Uber finally pulled up. Pushing off the pole, she checked to make sure the credentials were exactly who she was looking for, even double-checking the driver’s name prior to opening the door to the back seat. Waving her hand inwards, she bowed lightly, “After you, Ma-dam.

Ah. Time to go. As the sisters exchanged their farewells, Kimi walked over to the door and slid her feet back into her shoes, neatly placing the slippers she'd been given down. As she followed Kanna and Tadashi out the door, she waved goodbye to Kasumi with a reassuring smile. "Thank you, Miss Kasumiiiiii! Please make me tea again sometime!" her eyes darted to the cat one last time before the door shut. She didn't like cats.

Once they were outside, the air around them seemed to grow even more depressing. Her East-District-Native companions must not have been as used to death as she was. Or, perhaps it was the reason behind the deaths-- or lack thereof-- that had them so sorrowfully quiet? Either way, she knew that the mood, which she was always trying to keep at its peak, was currently unliftable. For some reason, Kimiko wasn't necessarily happy or sad; the only thing on her mind at the moment was finding the culprit and bringing them to a painful, fiery justice. Even if they were in the populated East District, the silence coming from Kanna and Tadashi was somewhat deafening. She couldn't help but whistle the rest of the way, stopping once they arrived at the apartment building. Once they were standing right outside, Kanna turned to face them and spoke.

"Allow me to do the talking, if you will. Of course, if you have questions yourselves, you can ask them."

She shot the Ace an accepting thumbs up. She wouldn't have had it any other way. If she said anything to the victim's mourning friend, she'd probably make things much worse, and she couldn't imagine that the nervous wreck standing next to her would be able to do a much better job. As Kanna spoke to Jenna through the intercom, she whipped out her bat and slapped the magazine open, only to see that it was empty. With a quiet 'whew', she pulled out four blanks and reloaded it, pushing the magazine back in and placing the weapon back in her bag. It was a good thing she checked, or she probably would have found herself dead if they got in any kind of trouble. Once they were buzzed in, Kimiko continued to follow Kanna and Tadashi upstairs and to the apartment door.

"Do your best not to overwhelm and pressure her. She sounds like she's still scared about what happened."

After hearing Kanna say that, she reached back and pushed her bat a little further into her bag, trying her best to conceal the handle of the weapon as much as she could. If overwhelming and pressuring was off limits, maybe it would be best if she waited outside. That wasn't an option at the moment, however, so she made an agreement to herself to say as few words as possible, unless she absolutely had to. After all, she was an inventor-- not an interrogator or a gumshoe. "Got it. My lips're sealed."

He finally makes himself get out of bed and gets changed. The little voice inside him that always tries to get out seems to be louder today than before. Maybe that last fight messed with him more than usual. "Maybe Hector will actually betray you." The voice is even louder now. Jin grows more and more upset. "Why bother going to the hotel you are an enemy to the gang." Jin knows this isn't true but its always louder when he can't focus. And with how loud the voice was getting Jin was getting angrier and more un focused. "Maybe its time to finally drop the act and really go all out on the Serpents, you should have killed that little girl last night but you're to weak." Jin punches the mirror in his bathroom and with that the voice fades and he can get a little peace and quiet. Once Jin was finally ready to leave he got in his car and drive to the hotel.

Parking his car at the garage a few blocks away he locks it up and begins walking down the road seeing the hotel get larger as he got closer. Once to the door he sees Anita and Vulken inside. He hesitates to go in because of what he was thinking before but he opens the door anyway. He fakes a smile. "Anita how's everything going? Vulken how's being back?"

"Oh... jou mean like Elsa?" Jordi asks, leading August to cock an eyebrow as he finally looks away from Markus and Ivan. Of all the amazing characters he could have pulled a comparison from, he picks Disney's Elsa?

"Well, 'ow are jou so certain er... Bowl-cut is a Tiger too? Perhaps King Cold is just meeting with one of 'is friends?"

August rubs the tip of his nose on the open pages of his manga, pursing his lips, seeming to ponder Jordi's assumption--but at the next thing out of his friend's mouth, he abruptly closes the book and lays it flat on the table. "Yeh, mate- neutral an' all, but nobody hahdly follows 'at rule, you know!"

Jordi says then, "As long as they don't cause trouble, they are welcome customers. If jou are planning on doing anything, please do so outside, okay?"

August slumps in his chair, "Nah, man, not me. My plan's ta just chill out and pretend I'm workin', 'cause 'at's wot me folks think I'm doin'." He nods up at Jordi with his chin, "What about you, huh? When ya off? Wot's ya shift?"

All of the sudden, the abrupt screeching of one's chair across the floor sends him into a flailing panic. "Shhhhit!" And he scrambles for his manga once again, opening it up to hide his face behind it as he sees the infamous "King Cold" getting up from his table to leave, beckoning his partner to follow him.

"They're on tha move," August mumbles, peering with squinted eyes over his comic.

"King Cold" kicks open the café's door, causing August to jolt in the shoulders, then he and his bowl-cut partner disappear outside. Following that, a loud commotion of car alarms, screaming, and--if he's not mistaken--laughter.

A small spurt of adrenaline sends August to his feet, and he meets Jordi's gaze with questioning concern, as if asking what the hell was that without the words.

Customers around the room--though not many--begin to stir, looking between each other.

August glances to the cashier behind the register, who's staring with wide eyes at the café's exit. He snaps his fingers to grab her attention, and she flinches. "Y-Yes?!"

"Call tha cops, wouldja?" he suggests. As she begins dialing the number and doing as told, August stands up on his chair with his hands raised high. "Aye, mates, how's about everyone exit through tha back in an orderly fashion, yeh? It's prob'ly boutta get a bit messy 'round these pahts. Please an' thank you."

That's when another customer asks, "What's going on!?"

A nervous smile, "Uhhh~ Not exactly shore, but I've got an idea, an' ya not gonna loike it, so let's just do what I've said? Mhm? Mmkay? Yeh, an' orderly fashion! Out tha back! The employees'll show ya the way!"

And so, just like that, everyone begins piling into the kitchen, guided by the few baristas, where they exit the store through the back door and into a small alleyway. As they do, August does a small jog up to the front to lock the entrance by its thumb-turn deadbolt, not that he expects the poor building to survive whatever it is these Tigers have planned.

Once that's done, he looks to Jordi and laughs, "Guess that ansahs that," referring to his question about the other's shift. "C'mon, let's scoot out tha back! We'll come 'round front an' see wot's goin' on!" He starts walking, "And we best tell them folks to get out o' the area."

AKIRA SENDO

Albino Tigers |Senior / Bodyguard|Jinx: Item Teleportation
Location: West District, Ruby Revenants' Hotel
Interacting: Lucy ( BriiAngelic BriiAngelic ), Vulken & Anita ( Doctor Llamabean Doctor Llamabean ) (Mentioned)

________________________________________________________________________________

Her promise was reassuring. In such an open hotel, hiding would only get them caught faster, so he followed Lucy's lead and walked behind her, acting as if they were supposed to be there. She was unsurprisingly confident in spite of the situation they were in, and the trouble they'd get into if they were outed as Tigers, but it was a good influence on Akira-- who would have been crouched down by now, were he alone. Instead, he was standing tall, hands (gripping needles) in his pockets. It only made sense that he would be a bit more comfortable, considering he'd been with these people for at least a year before he joined the Tigers. As they walked, he looked down at the main floor, searching for any familiar faces. Of course, he had kept tabs on quite a few of these people, but a particular red head of hair caught his attention quickly. "Is that...?"

Vulken Beckman, more well known as 'Draken', was right there, standing next to Anita Boston. As far as Akira knew, he was dead. It didn't exactly surprise him that there was a corpse roaming the hotel, he was more so intrigued. He made a mental note to investigate more later. If he was suddenly back in town, then there had to be a reason for him to have disappeared for so long. Just what were you up to...?

His thoughts were interrupted by Lucy's discovery. "Found the stairs, this is easy enough. The real problem would be if we have to interact with any Revs. I don’t know about you but I might have pissed off their elders a bit." He gently cleared his throat and took one more look at Vulken and Anita before aiming his eyes to the staircase. "I'm sure I've pissed off just about everybody at least once." he smiled, thinking back to all the fight's he'd gotten into, and all the trouble he'd caused throughout the years. "I don't think anyone will recognize me, though. I'm a master of staying hidden, you know." Once they reached the stairs, passing by a Revenant every now and then and remaining unnoticed, Lucy asked a question.

"So how many floors is there to this anyways?"

"Four."

His eyes widened. He had answered that way too fast! "Er... I counted the floors when I was looking at the building from outside. There may be a basement, though..." Instinctively, he led her up the stairs, warily climbing every step until they were on the third floor, and immediately heading over to the next staircase. "If the Revenants are as predictable as I remember them being, then the Elders' offices should be on the top floor. We'll be able to dig up anything important once we get there." before long, they were on the top floor. The amount of Revenants on the highest floor was drastically low compared to the other ones. It would be easier to spot them while they were up there. Quickly, he began turning doorknobs until he came upon a locked one. "Alright, this is probably the Elder's office. We can check the Vice's office if we have time." he knelt in front of the doorknob, two needles in hand, and began picking the lock. Sure, breaking into the Revenants' HQ was fun and all, but if they actually wanted to get more than a minor thrill out of this, he had to be quick. It didn't take long for the door to unlock, and he pushed it open, smiling at her. "Let's see what we can find. If you need anything unlocked, let me know."

"I'm sure I've pissed off just about everybody at least once."

She brought up fingers to her mouth covering up her little giggle at the frankness of his statement. At least he owned it huh? It was hard not to twirl around at the words and tease him a bit. She doubted that she’d catch much more eyes with it but she didn’t wanna risk it either. She’d locked eyes with enough rookies to wonder just why so many of them were skulking around on New Years Day. Geez, did they not party here? If her babysitting Chikage mission hadn’t gone south so fast she would be sleeping in bed at home after a good day's drink.

"I don't think anyone will recognize me, though. I'm a master of staying hidden, you know."

She figured it was funny that out of the two of them she’d be likely to be the one spotted first despite the fact that she could borrow a face at a moment's notice. All the better, she might have been better off hiding her ace in her sleeve but she was a naturally showy woman anyways.

She was hardly through asking her question before he answered. Four huh? She turned to ask-

"Er... I counted the floors when I was looking at the building from outside. There may be a basement, though..."

    Wait.

He started to lead her up the stairs overtaking her strides.

Huh, why did it bother her that he-

"If the Revenants are as predictable as I remember them being, then the Elders' offices should be on the top floor. We'll be able to dig up anything important once we get there."

Had he been here before or not?

She was starting to get annoyed. She turned with a pout as stopped in place staring at his retreating back. With a huff she followed him up the stairs. Well he did say he was only escorting a rookie. Did he only ever get to that center space then? Or was there some other reason for his guessing.

She paused as he tried a few doors with her eyes glued to his back. No she was being dumb. Akira had been around for nearly six years. She shook off her trailing thoughts. It was this shitty hotel, she felt off with it. She could only imagine Akira did too.

"Alright, this is probably the Elder's office. We can check the Vice's office if we have time."

Right they were only here because she wanted to be.

"Let's see what we can find. If you need anything unlocked, let me know."

She dropped the small frown that had been forming and instead mirrored his smile as she drew her hands together in a soundless clap. Right, what was she thinking? This was their date, she couldn’t spend it being upset. It would hardly be fun or useful.

“Of course, now we get to have some real fun huh? ‘Betcha you’re eager to show off your skills too huh?”

This whole trip had been essentially that after all. If not for Akira’s power, his throwing skills, his knowledge of the hideout… she’d never have dared take it one step into the West. She slid past him with a side glance, though one that was clearly more curious than suspicious.

Luckily the office was empty. The biggest mood killer would have been to spend a cute spy date only to open the door and face the boss immediately. She went instantly to the desk pretty much ignoring anything else and started to take out stack after stack of paper from the open cabinets. That is until she got to a drawer that was clearly locked from the resistance to her yank.

“Bingo. Ten to one says this ones holding something fun. Wanna try to get it open?”

Omar made a mental note about the reaction Nionet made as well as Cordelia before thinking to himself that Cordelia anger is misdirected while Nionet did not understand what he was trying to point out so time to cut to the chase.

Omar: You know the neighborhood association is going to use this latest bit of news to try and put a leash on the Sapphire Dragons.... Before going to pick up Cordelia, I got a text that they are planning to either cut of support or worse begin Dragon hunting...

Omar kept silent for a bit but Jack-o'-Lantern was busy dancing around Nionet before stopping and looking at Omar.

Jack-o'-Lantern: Clever boy...Not revealing to the other Dragons that it was you that gave this idea to the neighborhood association. You protect both groups without the other pulling dagger for battle.

Omar just rubbed the left side of his face before staring at his hand at the few pieces of hair that he forgot to clean after his shave. Omar calmly clapped his hands to remove the traces of hair before righting himself up and speaking.

Omar: I would normally ask how Zylith knows us but considering that she paid a lot of money...I would ask her myself but I wonder if this escort job is common but considering that you picked us that maybe Zylith just like having a rare jinxless jack and eye candy.....

Omar stopped again before staring at the sky and pinching his right eyebrow and then continued to speak.

Omar: If I die then I get to haunt Erich....Nionet if anything does end me, go to my family Shawarma shop...My family works with the neighborhood association and they can help with future negotiations..... Cordelia, seems like we need to get the armor plated vehicle from the neighborhood garage other than that seems like we got a play date with Zylith at the play plaza.

Omar would then smile at the three before Jack-o'-Lantern whispered ever so softly to Omar.

Jack-o'-Lantern: So care to say the rhyme....

Omar smiled before muttering underneath his breathe.

Omar: Beware...Beware...Jack-o'-Lantern is coming. Put away your tools and toys... The fun will start as soon as Jack-o'-Lantern arrives... Tools and toys come alive and Jack-o'-Lantern returns all to those who discarded them....Beware... Beware... Spooks and Hollows join Jack-o'-Lantern today....

At that moment, if one were watching Omar shadow would anyone notice that a second shadow has formed next to him as Omar turned around to walk back to the van. Did the shadow linger for a bit before following Omar footsteps and oddly enough the shadow is walking a bit away from Omar's shadow.

The elevator music was an underrated bop that Vice found herself casually swaying to as they ascended up the structure of the La Grante. Such tones went unappreciated in places such as this, their tunes never reaching those they were initially made for. La Grante was a place of varsity and vice to the highest order, with its occupants either subverting the laws beyond its walls or indulging in the riches their subversions had brought them. Where Mr. Sabat fell on that scale would be an interesting discovery Vice simply contain her excitement over.

It manifested in the form of the casual smile which stayed locked to her face as she sauntered down the hall the moment the elevator reached their floor. Without the din of the various occupants and staff in the background, all noise became far more notable. Their feet on the finely maintained carpet which lined the numerous halls, the metal clinking of a trolley boy pushing his cart up to a door and ringing to delivery his services, the yelling of dissolving business agreements echoing down the hall from one of the doors and the sound of cards on glass followed by the sound of intense snorting soon after.

Truly, La Grante wore its offerings on full display.

Among the many other Suites even, Sabat's stood out. The lack of doors to its sides told Vice that his Suite was substantially larger than usual. The brief glimpses she saw past the man that answered once Jaiden knocked seemed to confirm this. Speaking of the man, he definitely seemed the Martial Armaments type. Though not as large as most of that particular Outfits bruisers, the tensed and ready stance he displayed while listening was a dead giveaway.

Jaiden's explanation seemed to pacify him for the most part, but as Vice led both him and Malik inside she could note that the Bodygaurd still seemed ready to go for some kind of weapon strapped to his hip at any second. That wouldn't be an issue for her, seeing as she had a pretty good grasp of where they stood so far. But not only had her hunch about the Suite being large been true, but it was also far more active than one would assume from the outside.

It seemed Sabat had a small gang of guards with him too, though these ones didn't share the same professional look as the Doorman. Many seemed to be either moving large luggage bags around or milling about the Suite's living room. The further in the trio went, the more guards they passed. Though some continued with their work, many locked eyes on the three of them as they passed. Though some even stood from seated positions, none moved to attack. Vice appreciated the numbers Sabat kept under his employ, by the time they finally stopped dead center in the middle of the Living room, she had counted almost twenty guards roaming about his Suite, not counting those they hadn't spotted yet.

But while Vice could've easily just enjoyed counting how many guards Sabat surrounded himself with, she was far more interested in getting to know the man himself. And from the center of the living room, finding him was easy. Through an open glass door, she could spot a figure standing on a balcony outside. He was framed by the outside light, casting a shadow on the floor behind him. Standing beside him was another relatively big guy, dressed identically to the Doorman though with a far more weathered expression marring his face.

"Deelo Sabat," Vice voiced in appreciation as she turned towards the balcony "A fallen leaf ventures to the accord of the wind, a wandering frond such as I can only be thankful I've been blown your way this fine hour."

Taking a moment to look around, she took a step forward only to notice the way the Bodyguard at Sabat's side unfolded his arms and flexed his fingers, "And here I was worrying for just the briefest of moments that I'd be underwhelmed by the scale of your retinue. You wouldn't believe just how glad I am to be wrong."

She didn't even make it past the first floor before hearing someone call out to her. Her foot had paused on the stairs as she glanced to the side to see another Ruby Revenant push away from a window and approach her. Dreck was one of the lesser known members, more of an in-between guy who would help others on their missions instead of actually go on any himself. Banshee didn't want to keep Vulken or Anita waiting, so sighed when Dreck called out to her. But he was a Revenant like her, a west-sider who she couldn't just turn a blind eye too. So she paused as he straightened his hoodie and slid his hands into his pockets.

Apparently her conversation with the others downstairs had been loud enough for him to overhear from up here. Banshee wasn't about to feel guilty or anything about her passions, and was about to ask what he wanted again when he requested that she fill him in on who her likely culprits were. She kept it simple, pretty much every other gang in the city were suspects until they had more information. And she wasn't even stuck on the big ones, the smaller groups that kept their head down where the big four were considered couldn't be ignored. Any one of them could see the weak state of their home as an invitation to make a power play, and Banshee wouldn't let anyone off the hook just because they were small-timers.

This was her home, and hell would come to its enemies one way or another.

Dreck seemed unsurprised by her estimation, but insisted that it had to have been one of the bigger gangs if Barbossan Flush was involved.

While Banshee was more than willing to hash it out with him, she really didn't want to leave Vulken and Anita waiting longer than necessary. She'd offered a hand to aid them, and wasn't willing to go back on that offering because she got caught up in her investigation. So she gestured for him to follow as she resumed making her way up the stairs. There weren't many floors to the hotel, not like there were in the days before the tsunami. It would be quick and over with, then she could focus on helping Vulken get back into the good fight.

As she passed a third story window, she briefly glance outside to the grounds around the Hotel. Seeing what had once been a high class locale reduced to such a state always angered her, splendor and victory replaced with cranes and equipment. Many Revs were either wandering the place or conversing in groups on the ground floor. There were many inside the hotel as well, but as Banshee rose towards the upper floors those numbers went down until it almost felt as though she and Dreck were the only ones up there.

That feeling didn't last long, as in the midst of their conversation Banshee paused and held a hand up to Dreck to silence him. She paused for a moment before her eyebrows furrowed. After a few seconds he asked her what was wrong, but she held up a hand to silence him again. She could swear that she could hear voices coming from the direction of the Elder's office, but they didn't sound like his. Wasn't he still busy with that other stuff? There was always the chance that he sent some people over to get some things for him, but Banshee didn't keep her District alive by giving the benefit of the doubt.

Moving faster, she and Dreck made their way closer to an office, just one office that seemed as though its door was open. Banshee's eyes narrowed before she directed Dreck's attention towards the sounds of movement inside.

"Someone's fuckin' around here." she grumbled before nudging Dreck "Stand back for a sec."

With that said she wasted no time in approaching the door and throwing it open, eyes darting around briefly before locking on to two figures she was damn sure didn't belong in there.

"Oh yeah, guess we're doing this then" she wasted no time in gripping her guitar tighter before tapping its base against the ground and calling back "Oi! Someone's fuckin with Jin's things!"

Dreck got the memo and immediately took off towards the nearest window to throw it open and shout towards the Revs below. But Banshee had no inclination to wait for any form of back-up, such was an absolute no no in her mind. These guys were rooting through West-Side property, messing with their belongings, and such actions required nothing less than her fullest of passions and the most thorough of curb-stomps. So in spite of Dreck's efforts, it probably wasn't his yells that would draw the attention of most of their fellow Revenants.

It was more than likely the immense, Jinx-enhanced screech Banshee released directly into the office.

42.jpgA few minutes into the drive, Eustass was fast with his upper body out the window, holding tight to the ceiling handle with the four fingers of his right hand.

He made endless gestures at other cars in passing, and shouted many obscenities at pedestrians.

This is his way of behaving.

As annoying as it must be, at least he's not attacking his fellow Serpents.

When the car slows to a halt, his excitement and energy subsides. He ducks back in to grab his crowbar saw, then climbs back out the window, onto the hood, and stands tall, overlooking the neighborhood.

Tomi says then, "Welcome to Tower Mount, South. Shittiest neighborhood in the blocks. 10 to 1 he’s hanging in '95's. The bastard that runs it takes in all types. It’s a good thing too though, he owes me so if Gideon fled already we can cash in some favors to get the bitch cornered."

Eustass was raised here, but he won't say that. Instead, he starts stomping his foot above Yelena, yelling, "Hey, bimbo, c'mon! We ain't-- Wwwe ain't got all fffuckin' day. C'mon! C'mon! C'mon! Yer slowin' us down!"

Anita inspects Vulken's hand as he moves a lock of hair from his face, then she looks away when he speaks, "Oh, trust me, stealth ain't nowhere to be seen on my resume. She can definitely come with."

This tugs a small smile upon her lips, and she says, "Guess we're different then."

The type to wait, watch, and listen, Anita excels at finding openings in an operation. In regard to Boltius' surprise to hear that she would be Vulken's partner in his endeavor, it's no secret that she's never the first person to tag along on an out-of-the-blue expedition, as she likes to study a plan and collect any information beyond what little they're usually given.

But, it's as she said~ One can usually find her more involved when bills roll around.

"If she's not stealthy, she must be pretty strong, then, right? I'm looking forward to seeing both of you in action... Well, that's if we even end up in a fight, that is."

"Likewise."

Suddenly, Anita feels Vulken's eyes on her, so she turns to meet them with her own. "So, how you feeling about this? Excited to make some quick cash? It should be a breeze, as long as things don't get outta hand," he says. Following a brief pause, before she can answer, he adds, "Hey, mind if we run to the store real quick? I need to get...something. We can talk a little more on the way there," and Anita glances toward the stairwell where Banshee had disappeared.

"Of course," she says, taking the lead out of the hotel, "To answer your question, I'm nervous." She smiles. "Always am... Kind of like... When semester finals roll around. But, with that being said, panicking won't do me any good. The time will pass whether I want it to or not, so I might as well make the most of it."

Lifting a hand in front of herself then, she rubs her thumb against her index and middle finger, showing Vulken a cheesy smirk, "That and I have bills to pay."

The door to the hotel opens before she can reach for it, and in steps Jin Masaka with a his usual air of cheerfulness--though, it belies something darker, which Anita is oblivious to in spite of her pity for the young Elder and the poor treatment he's received since his promotion.

"Anita, how's everything going? Vulken how's being back?" Jin asks.

Anita looks to Vulken, showing him a curious quirk of the brow. She recalls Vulken saying he hadn't seen the new Elder yet, and the last thing she expected was for Jin to even know Vulken in the first place, but that's when she remembers that Jin and Snake have both been around the Revenants for a much longer time than their seniority would suggest. And so, she says to Jin with a wave of her hand, "Nothin' much~ Just running to the store, then Draken and I are off to the Rose... Also, Banshee's looking for you. She said it's about Barbossan Flush. Yeah, she's upstairs leaving you a note, so you might want to get on that."

The three talk for a brief moment before Anita finds an opening to leave so that Jin can tend to Banshee upstairs. She leads Vulken down the street a good ways, then breaks off to the right, across the empty road and over a fence, beckoning Vulken to follow as she adjusts her sunglasses over her eyes, "Can you climb?" she asks amusedly. "It's quicker through this field. Just through the bushes that way," she points a finger across the greensward, "-is a small seven-eleven that my friend works at. We call him Stretch for his Jinx. He's a Revenant, too... Remember how I scolded you earlier? Yeah, he's the one that keeps the Hotel in welcoming shape."

Falling quiet, she lowers her gaze, "Sorry about that, by the way. I snapped too quickly."

"Ah, that's right. You're still in school." Vulken smiled at the thought of Anita sitting in class, answering questions and doing homework. Cute. It was admirable that she was somehow able to juggle her position as a Revenant and her school life, and he knew that he definitely wasn't cut out to do the same. "You're right, though. Panicking won't do you any good. Besides..." suddenly, the temperature around them raised ever-so-slightly, as he looked on with a cocky smirk before deactivating his jinx. "With me here, we're untouchable. Those bills're gettin' paid. Don't worry."

A man, probably a year or two younger than him, approached them. Vulken assumed it was another senior, probably coming to greet Anita. "Anita, how's everything going?" he was right. He quietly waited for some sort of introduction from Anita, but it never came. Instead, the man turned to him next. "Vulken how's being back?" Vulken looked back at him, puzzled. He held back the urge to reply with an unfriendly 'Who the hell are you?', and continued to stare him down as Anita spoke, before his eyes landed on that familiar smile. "Ah, Masaka! It's Masaka, right?" he snapped his fingers, relieved that he was finally able to recognize someone. "Damn, so you're the new Boss, then, huh? Good for you." he extended a hand and patted Jin on the shoulder. "We've gotta catch up later, Boss."

After a short conversation, the three broke off, and Vulken followed Anita to a fence, which she was quick to vault over. "Can you climb?" she asked, a hint of delight in her voice. He scoffed, already halfway up the fence as he spoke. " 'Course I can climb. I'm, like, the climbing master." while it wasn't something he was used to, he was willing to appear perfect at anything if it meant impressing someone. He landed in a crouching position as Anita explained her reasoning for the route they were taking. "It's quicker through this field. Just through the bushes that way," she paused to point at said bushes, and Vulken looked at them with a hand on his chin as he stood to his full height. "-is a small seven-eleven that my friend works at. We call him Stretch for his Jinx. He's a Revenant, too... Remember how I scolded you earlier? Yeah, he's the one that keeps the Hotel in welcoming shape." He frowned slightly at the mention of the scolding he'd received. He wasn't offended by it. If anything, he was disappointed in himself for doing something so obnoxious after just coming back. Don't remind me.

It was quiet as they made their way past the bushes. "Sorry about that, by the way. I snapped too quickly." he looked over at her, and gave a reassuring laugh. "Hey, you don't gotta apologize. If anything, I should be the one sayin' sorry. I've gotten used to just tossing them wherever once I'm done with them, but it's a bad habit that I need to work on. You just gave me a push in the right direction." they were in the seven-eleven's parking lot by then, and his eyes locked onto a nice, vintage bike, and then the small drops of blood scattered along the asphalt. Probably some drunk idiots getting into a scuffle, even if it was a bit early for that. "If that 'Stretch' guy's clocked in, I'll be sure to apologize to him, too."

But Stretch wasn't there. Instead, it was a female employee behind the register. She was cute, but Vulken was dead set on scoring the queen bee today. He leaned on the counter, making sure he was loud enough for the shorter cashier to hear him as he made his request. "Pack of Viceroys, please." she nodded, and turned around to grab the box. As he waited, he looked back to Anita, smiling. "Want anything? On me."
