Alright, time to get down to brass tacks now that I've slept XD
I'm planning on adding and changing a bit with the forgotten realms, specifically, two things. Number one is that there will be low level magitek running around. Examples would be something like an object that casts the Light spell when you flick a switch, or a fan that casts Gust when you pull a cord. At the highest level I'd say prosthetic limbs are just starting to become researched. It's still a really new adaptation of the arcane, only conceived within the last 10 years or so.
The second thing I'm changing is the lore of the elves. Essentially, after the Spellplague happened, arcanists and mages began looking for ways to stabilize their magic output. After some research they found that the elves had a special organ that other races didn't have known as an Elythia, that allowed them to store trace amounts of magical energy, and it somehow wasn't connected to the weave. Eventually elves began to be hunted to near extinction for their Elythia. The few that managed to escape their pursuers went into hiding, though nobody knows where. Half-elves do have an Elythia as well, though it doesn't function as a medium for magic, likely due the mundane half of their human counterpart. Also credit to

No you shouldn't need to. Obviously if you want to learn more, feel free too, but most of what you need to know will come up during the campaign, or I'll tell you about it like I did in the post before.

Alrighty, I've seen what you've got as far as characters and I'm trying to think what to go with. I'm thinking going with a really long ranged character. Try to make a longbow sniper or something.

That sounds like it would be fun. Maybe a rogue or ranger would work well for that? Scout rogue would be interesting. Or you could go full on in fighter for some arcane archery fun?

I think I'll have her as a ranger for 3 levels, then maybe give her levels in rogue after. And she's not going to be a nature ranger, but a city one.
I ain't got anything as far as a backstory goes yet but I got all the mechanical stuff down.

Looks great! The only thing I could see that was off was your hit points, since your level 2 you'll have slightly more than 10. Whether you want to roll or take the average is up to you though.

3 of us picked sylvan language that's interesting we are totally going to be ready for the random fey that are going to show up. I just personally just took the language because I gave my character the fey touched feat and that made the language seem fitting story wise for my character to know.

I am sure you would all want the orc named Choppa who specialises in Intimidation with +0 to Charisma to be the face of the party. =P She is a queen in her own mind.
